Interlude 1: The First War Review
September 24th, 2003, 2:54 PM. 1st Grail War, 6th Day of the War. Marquis:
I never believed I would get this chance. That day when I willingly stood down, I knew I would never breathe fresh air again. Yet here I am, engaging the wider world once more.
I thought about it, just killing those persistent women who keep hounding me and their husbands. Especially when they came into my house in the dead of night. Especially when that disgusting Brandish held my daughter hostage. Ohhh, I haven't been so tempted to break my code since Jack Slash visited.
But
A code isn't a code if it can be broken when it is convenient. Every man must have a line in the sand that they are never willing to cross, to stabilize themself. Some men get their morals from their religion, others from watching the world and seeing what everyone else was doing. Me? I got my code from watching my parents. Father was a good man who always held himself with dignity while Mother was an angel that was anyone's pleasure to know.
We lived life comfortably until I was 15 and Mother got ill. Cancer they said, little to no chance of recovery they said. Very few options were available, but bone marrow transplants were something I could do. Father couldn't help in that regard, but I could as her child. As often as I could, as much as the hospital would let me. All the pain and weakness I felt were worth it for the slightest chance.
It took around 5 months to see that the treatments weren't helping, and my mother passed away no more than a week later. The last thing she told me is to 'always hold myself to a higher standard and that she loves me'. A saint until the very end.
Father, the man I've never seen as weak, killed himself no more than 3 days afterwards. I haven't experienced the kind of love that would make someone do such a thing, but I don't blame my father for leaving me behind. No matter my struggles, I was raised 16 years with love and I trust that he took all the pain that he could in this life.
Unexpectedly, that's not what triggered me. It was during my time in the orphanage where an up-and-coming 'gang-banger' killed a girl I was quite smitten with during my stay. Rosie was her name, not that anyone besides myself probably remembered it. As I found her body bleeding out with most of her bones broken and the future dead man retreating. I could hardly remember the next few seconds during my slight blackout but I knew what I was doing afterwards. I was raised to respect a woman and this man-child didn't understand the way the world should work.
Enough was enough. Orphans like us did small jobs such as delivery work for the local mobs so I knew exactly the places he could be hanging around.
So, I found him. I found him and kept him alive for days, testing every facet of my powers on him. I would like to think I taught the man some manners before his last breath.
I then decided that if I wanted the world to reflect how I wished it should work, I'd do it myself. I engaged myself deeper into mob work until I got a high enough position and brought about a hostile takeover. That occurred when I slaughtered my boss and a couple of his lieutenants once I saw their forced prostitution ring. I kept the good boys around, cleared the rest, and began the Marche. The rest is history.
Reminiscing can come at another time though.
With Amelia in a safe place nearby protected by my constructs, I can fully focus on the man I see approaching from the distance. An extremely large, built frame nearly seven foot tall and bulging with muscles. Aryan features that the Empire would love, bright blonde hair and vivid blue eyes, define his face.
I would cast him as one if I didn't see his character yesterday, far more concerned with the innocent civilians than me. A good man, so I offered to take the fighting to a different area. Thor accepted and we decided the time.
With Brandish back in the day I was desperate, but I felt this was a much better option in case of my end. Honestly, I was expecting Miss Photon or Fleur to raise my child, why they left her to the woman with obvious issues I will never know. I would have left her there this week if I thought she was being taken care of and loved but I knew from seeing Brandish again just how she was being raised.
So, I asked Thor before we separated if he would take care of my daughter if I passed. He agreed saying he would do everything in his power and I believed in his sincerity. Now here we are.
I could have planted constructs and skeletons all around with my new abilities to have the advantage but I will not disrespect this man like that. He met me with honor and I'll do the same.
"Thor, glad to see you here, it would be a shame for both of us to die due to some stupid rule."
"Aye, I appreciate you keeping the civilians out of this. Too many villains have escaped me by using hostages."
"Perish the thought, I am a man of more character than that. Now, my daughter is three buildings down to the right protected by a squad of my skeletons, so I would appreciate you going to help her if I happen to perish. If we could keep the fighting away from that direction as well, I would be grateful."
"You plan so much over your potential death. Are you that insecure in your ability? As a man, you should always be confident!"
"No, no. I am fully working towards and expecting to win. However, pride is a sin for a reason, and I will not let such a thing get in the way of my daughter having a good future."
"Very well. How shall we start?"
Hmmmm, so it is time? I start to grow bone armor around myself, getting ready to shoot out bone spears. After firing them, I could further grow them to make more constructs to protect myself. Truly, a great benefit I was given for this nonsense. If I had this back in the day, I would probably never have missed part of my daughter's childhood. I take a simple quarter out of my pocket and state.
"I'll flick this coin in the air and when it hits the ground we can both immediately start. Sounds fair?"
Thor takes a deep breath and gets into a position ready to leap at me.
"Aye. Marquis, while you are still a villain, know that I wouldn't kill you if I didn't have to do it. To the best man?"
"Yes, to the best man. Whoever wins, know that I hold no ill feeling over the matter. You did what you had to do and you did it with dignity. Now, let's start."
I flicked the coin in the air as hard as I could and prepared my bones further as it began to drop. I can see it spinning in the air in a slow fashion considering all my senses are fully concentrated for the incoming fight.
For my future. For my daughter.
The coin starts to drop.

Hello everyone!
It's a new year and everyone knows what that means! The imminent yearly threat/saving grace to everyone's lives!
Osiris AKA KingMaker AKA The Sky Dragon AKA The Temptation AKA Endbringer of Wishes.
Ever since the entrance of this Endbringer on September 6th, 2003 in the middle of a Simurgh attack, her powers are the only thing anyone can talk about.
And for the people here about her human appearance(or her beast form you sickos), there is a NSFW Thread for that, don't clutter this thread.
Anyways, we all know the story. Osiris shows up in her fuck-all giant serpent form, tells the SIMURGH to go take five, then proceeds to tell the world that there is now going to be an annual death battle to win a wish, which she INSISTS everyone call a holy grail war. I'm not arguing with her.
Also that the Endbringer attack frequency was going down from every 3 months to every 4 since this is also her yearly endbringer attack.
Osiris told the world straight up that "I don't need to kill a single human in my entire life as an endbringer, you'll all do that yourselves." Bad thing is we're proving her right.
For this first post only I will reiterate the rules of the war:
Holy Grail War Rules
The War will be held once a calendar year at a location of Osiris' choice for a week. The Holy Grail War will count as a yearly 'endbringer attack' by Osiris at any given time of the year, ignoring all other attacks. As such, other endbringers will attack approximately every 4 months instead of 3. Seven contestants will be teleported into the location. Whether there is a time to prepare or not is subject to change year by year by the decision of Osiris. All contestants will be given immunity to (In Human Terms)Master, Stranger, Thinker, and personally affecting Trump effects from other parahumans discounting fellow contestants. Fellow Contestants will be resistant to such powers by a contestant, but can be affected. All contestants will have their powers enhanced before the war starts and the power-up will not be taken away, including the immunity. If a contestant doesn't have a kill by the time the war ends, they will be killed. If a contestant is killed by several other contestants working together, then credit will be given to the one Osiris feels deserves the credit. The war ends after seven days with whoever has killed the most contestants and is alive wins. If there is a tie at the end of the war, the war will continue indefinitely until a winner is decided or all but one of the tied contestants gives up on attempting to win, which will result in them being killed by Osiris. The winner will be allowed to ask one wish of Osiris to grant.Thus it started on September 18th, 2003: The First Holy Grail War. Brockton Bay, USA. Nearly two weeks after her first appearance. All of Brockton Bay was separated from the rest of the world, no in or out, and the entire war live streamed courtesy of our wish-granting overlord.

Brockton Bay, USA. The First Holy Grail War AKA 'The Tutorial Level' by Osiris
A.) CONTESTANTS
3 Villains, 4 'Heroes' at the start
1.) Marquis(Teleported out of the birdcage by our dragon lady):
Original Power: Personal Bone Growth/Generation and could break other bones in a shaker radius around him. Bones were strong enough to block several of the Empire88's full assaults before Marquis was birdcaged. Brute 5, Shaker 5, Blaster 2.
Upgraded Power: Increased Bone growth for self and any nearby bones not attached to another person. Bone strength increased. Could make an unlimited amount of bone constructs out of his own bones that could display slight sentience and obey commands. Brute 8, Shaker 7, Blaster 4, Master 8
2.) Kaiser:
Original Power: Leader of the Empire88, American neo-Nazi gang. Can produce metal blades, barriers or rods from any solid surface. Shaker 7
Upgraded Power: Increased speed of power. Could change other materials living and non-living(stone, skin, etc) into metal with a striker effect, making contact an instant kill if he is aware. Could focus and fire his produced blades. Shaker 9, Striker 7, Blaster 5
3.) Thor:
Original Power: Grab-Bag between minor electro-kinesis, super strength, and super durability with a penchant for wielding a hammer. Well known Independent of Norway. Brute 5, Blaster 3
Upgraded Power: All 3 powers insanely increased. Insane blaster rating with his electro-kinesis and Alexandria level brute. Brute 9 Blaster 8
4.)Iron Man(Open Identity: Tony Stark):
Original Power: Second-In-Command of San Diego Protectorate Branch until the end of the war, he was an open Tinker with his productivity and quality based on his own personal excitement for a project. The more he liked what he was working on, the faster and better his tinker tech. Tinker 8
Upgraded Power: Like all tinkers Osiris has buffed over the years, Osiris removed the random maintenance requirement of Iron Man's tinker tech. As long as it didn't break down for a good reason, it wouldn't anymore. Added a tinker specialty of Body Armor and Power Sources. Tinker 12.
5.)Magneto:
Original Power: Leader of villain organization The Brotherhood, believers in Parahuman supremacy. Strong magnetic based telekinesis shaker effect that worked around a quarter mile radius and could throw those objects. Only worked on macro-scale, around the size of a truck or larger up to around the size of an apartment building. Shaker 9, Blaster 6
Upgraded Power: Can use magnetism on a micro level now, affecting things of any size. Stronger push and pull with magnetism based telekinesis. Used the upgrade to make a repulse field around his own body with his metal armor and allowed himself to fly. Brute 8, Mover 6, Shaker 10, Blaster 8, Thinker 4
6.)Brandish(Open Identity: Carol Dallon):
Original Power: Member of New Wave, open identity independent organization. Makes energy weapons and can turn into a near invulnerable sphere. Striker 5 Changer 1
Upgraded Power: Can mass-produced short-lived energy weapons that can be fired at the enemy(Osiris once shouted 'Gates Of Babylon' on stream watching it). Can move incredibly fast as a sphere now. Blaster 12, Mover 8, Striker 5, Changer 1
7.)Genos:
Original Power: Tinker with a specialty in cyborg augmentation. Independent from North Dakota. Has heavily changed his own body with a ton of energy based thrusters at this point. Main downside was needing constant maintenance on his own body, making his time actually performing as a hero extremely low. Tinker 7, Brute 5, Blaster 5, Mover 6, Thinker 4.
Upgraded Power: Removes random maintenance, also given a specialty in efficiency and output. Armsmaster and Output gave no comment at the fact that their entire powers were just copied and giving to another person. Gave a gigantic tune up to his own body during the war. Tinker 10, Brute 7, Blaster 7, Mover 7, Thinker 5
B.) BATTLES & EVENTS:
Note: I'm generally sticking to fights that were between at least two contenders unless it was overly significant. There would be pages of combat otherwise.
Day 1:
Mostly quiet, everyone isn't really believing in Osiris yet since this is the first game. After it is discovered that the entire town is separated from the outside world, the seven contestants take this more seriously.
Day 2:
Mid-Day:
Fight between Brandish and Marquis, Brandish's new artillery causing much destruction while Marquis was protected by his army of skeletons and hardened bones. When the rest of New Wave showed up as they were in the town before the separation, Marquis took the males, Flashbang and Manpower, hostage to end the engagement.
Afternoon:
First Mass Slaughter of the War. Magneto, citing his own Jewish heritage and disgust at their racist rhetoric, massacres vast numbers of the E88 organization. Those killed include 40% of all non-powered members during a large rally, Purity, Krieg, Fenja, Minja, Victor, and the entirety of the med-hall building and surrounding buildings. Kaiser tried to fight back but he's pretty screwed against a magnetism specialist with his powers. Magneto maintains enough distance that his costume couldn't be changed by Kaiser's shaker effect while launching large amounts of debris at him.
Kaiser managed to escape thanks to Crusader covering with his spectral clones but Crusader also died so that Kaiser could escape. The first example of how little regular parahumans can do against those that Osiris enhance, much like the gap between civilians and parahumans.
Panic sets into the populace at the first large-scale disaster, also with the effect of ending the Empire88 movement in one fell swoop. They never recovered from the damages of that day.
Day 3:
Early Morning:
Engagement between Brandish and Thor. Brandish accuses Thor of being a member of E88 for unknown reasons and attacks. Brandish's sanity has been reportedly shown to be fraying during the entire war, particularly when Marquis is mentioned. Fight is nearly ended when Kaiser appeared from nowhere to attack Brandish, barely missing the kill but managing to cut off her right arm. Thor helps protect her and pushes Kaiser back but Brandish restarts the fight with Thor in a frenzy after Kaiser escapes. The fight doesn't stop until New Wave comes to end the engagement.
When Kaiser is running away, he is caught by the team of Iron Man and Genos, who have been shown to be tinkering together since the start. Unfortunately, two people in metal suits aren't good against Kaiser so he manages to fight both off to major injuries and equipment damage. They originally managed to keep their distance and blast shots but Kaiser managed to sneak up on them by shifting an underground tunnel of metal.
Genos had to detach and leave a leg behind during the fight and Iron Man most notably had a near death due to a shard of metal Kaiser embedded into his heart. It took Iron Man and Genos tinkering together to make a replacement in between Genos' cyborg speciality and Iron Man's power source speciality.
Night:
Marquis sneaks into the Dallon house and acquires one Amelia Lavere, who appears to be his daughter. Brandish is made busy by some bone constructs Marquis made nearby to distract her. While leaving the uptown area where the Dallon House resides, Magneto finds Marquis running with his daughter and attempts to kill him. Protecting his daughter by wrapping her in layers of bone and telling her 'to be brave', Marquis begins to rain fury upon Magneto. As Magneto fights with metal and buildings, Marquis fires bone spears and has skeletons throw themselves at Magneto.
When enough skeletons surround Magneto by jumping off nearby buildings, they grow into each other through Marquis' power and trap him next to the ground with bone growths attempting to pierce Magneto's body. As Marquis is about to finally break through his defenses, Brandish comes screaming in with a full artillery strike on Marquis' location. He is slightly injured but survives thanks to the bone armor he had generated earlier. Magneto catches his breath and collapses more buildings to escape after the distraction, all the debris giving Marquis an opportunity to leave with his daughter under the cover of the night. Brandish lets out a blood-curdling scream as the rest of New Wave arrives.
At this point, all of BB is afraid of the next fight with already over 10,000 dead and irreparable damages.
Day 4:
Noon:
A light engagement between Thor and Magneto where neither of them could really damage the other. Iron Man and Genos repair equipment and heal their bodies with cybernetic replacements. Kaiser hides away and we see a scene where he is panicking over his ruined life and what he can do next. In his depression, he talks about how he shouldn't have killed his sister and father(Iron Rain and AllFather), not yet knowing that Osiris loves to record her contestants. Marquis appears to have taken the day to bond with his daughter and play with her, giving a brief moment of humanity to this terrible tragedy.
Night:
Brandish is out in a frenzy still with a lost arm and starts another fight, this time with Magneto. Both of them begin blasting attacks everywhere, the entire downtown area of BB is destroyed with thousands dead. A large round of stray blasts of Brandish's power evaporates a large portion of the dockyards as well, killing a sizable amount of hiding workers and civilians, especially those of the DWA. In the end, Magneto manages to kill Brandish along with nearby New Wave members Miss Photon and Manpower by throwing several buildings on their heads. Brandish could have avoided the buildings, but we see her shift back to her human form to try and get her sister out of the way. The only 'heroic' move that Brandish made during the entire event.
Brandish and Magneto in this one engagement killed a total of over 20,000 innocent civilians, giving the world a first person view of not only large scale parahuman violence but it being performed by a former hero uncaring of collateral.
After the war, all the children of the two New Wave couples were taken in by the state after Mark Dallon aka FlashBang is discovered to be their last living relative while suffering heavy depression. He soon killed himself after the children's custody were taken by the government.
Day 5:
Mid-Day:
Magneto manages to corner Kaiser and nearly kills him when interrupted by the pair of Genos and Iron Man. Since all contestants know how many kills each other has, the two tinkers decide that they can't allow Magneto to get more kills and win, not knowing his wish and knowing him as a high profile villain.
A 3 vs 1 ensues with everyone ganging up on Magneto, but all three of them are all weak against him. When Magneto uses his power to tear apart Genos by his modifications and kill him, Iron Man overloads his suit's Arc Reactor. This blows up the entire area and kills Kaiser while Magneto barely manages to get away while concussed and bleeding from his broken limbs.
Thor and Marquis meet and have a brief scuffle in a populated area then decide to settle their fight man to man in an abandoned area, tomorrow at 3 PM. Marquis asks Thor to take care of his daughter if Thor wins, which he accepts.
Day 6:
A 30 minute fight ensues between Thor and Marquis. Marquis surrounds himself in bone armor and minions, blocking Thor's lightning and requiring him to get close. As he approaches while pummeling the skeletons, he unknowing breathes in some of Marquis' bone dust from the skeletons he crushed. This allows Marquis to grow his bones from within Thor's body, killing him from the inside out mere seconds before Thor finally reaches him. Thor falls over and Marquis turns to go back to his daughter, first fight of the war with no innocent casualties.
However, Marquis doesn't manage to make it all the way to the place he hid Amelia nearby. Magneto appears soon after with Marquis' child, Amelia, in his hands and proposes a trade. Since Magneto has 2 kills currently while Marquis has one and they believe they are the last two alive, Magneto will hold Amelia hostage until the game ends and Magneto is declared the winner. Marquis agrees after a long pause but swears vengeance at the slightest scratch. He asks his daughter once again to just wait for him.
Day 7:
Day ends quietly. At the end of the day, all three remaining contestants and one little girl are completely healed and teleported before Osiris for the results. Magneto and Marquis are surprised at the dying Iron Man. Iron Man was assumed dead but is found to be alive on his suit's back-up life support system after the end. With her beast form hovering in the air, Osiris greets the winner and survivors and congratulates them on their survival. Iron Man is furious at all the mayhem created while Osiris just calmly states,
"Why are you blaming me? Like I said, the minimum number of people needed to die in my games is 4, not 40,000. All that is on your heads, you all know what you did. Do you think that overloading that battery in your chest didn't kill civilians?"
Iron Man is distraught at the entire event while Marquis is making sure his daughter is completely fine. Osiris states that she teleported Amelia here as well since there was no reason to leave her there alone. Magneto walks up to the Endbringer, a tired look on the man's face. Osiris asks him,
"So, congrats my first winner. Time to see if I can keep my word, go on and tell me. What is your wish?"
C.) RESULTS
Kaiser(Killed by Iron Man) 0 Kills
Thor(Killed by Marquis) 0 Kills
Genos(Killed By Magneto) 0 Kills
Brandish(Killed By Magneto) 0 Kills
Marquis(SURVIVED) 1 Kill
Iron Man(SURVIVED) 1 Kill
Magneto(SURVIVED) 2 Kills
D.) WINNER
Magneto(Wins with 2 kills): Wishes to create a land where no harm can be done to those with powers.
E.) RESULTS
Magneto's wish granted with Osiris changing the entirety of Egypt to become a land where it is impossible to harm any being with powers or attack the land itself.
Magneto's organization, The Brotherhood, began to take over towns in the country while the civilians weren't protected by the wish. Plenty tried to stop him, but his strength after the upgrade from the tournament kept most away while he was outside of Egypt's borders. Larger organizations also couldn't rally with their thinker supporters unable to plan for him.
The towns the Brotherhood have taken over or claimed have become safe-havens for those who don't wish to involve themselves in parahuman conflicts and just live their lives. However, villains also use the country to escape from the consequences of their actions after committing heinous crimes. Very few people without powers are willing to live in the country lest they face discrimination with nearly no chance of retribution.
The capital of Cairo was claimed and completely changed by Osiris into a personal home, the citizens not knowing what to do about their new neighbor. Any powered being apparently also meant Endbringers, as no attempts to harm the Endbringer in her home city has ever managed to display any results. This includes the four occasions where the Simurgh came down to visit Osiris in her home, frightening the entire world every time.
When asked why Egypt, Osiris claimed Magneto didn't specify and that why wouldn't she pick home. People begin taking her claims as Osiris, Egyptian God of Fertility and The Dead, more seriously after that random statements during one of her live streams.
Marquis, along with his daughter Amelia, wanted asylum in the city as well. Marquis swears loyalty towards Osiris for the promise of ensuring him and his daughter will have everything they need and are protected. The First of Osiris' faithful followers, The Game Wardens.
In order to keep Amelia safe and to reward Marquis early with the expectation of good service, Osiris apparently granted Amelia a power with the comment that 'she was always meant for this'. Osiris can apparently grant wishes or powers whenever she likes, only bound by the war's victor and her own amusement.
Now at the age of 16, Amelia Lavere AKA Panacea is a highly respected healer. While she only personally works on time sensitive emergency cases, she has produced innumerable amounts of medical innovations that have helped to bring the entire world forward through her biotinkering abilities. Despite the fact that she looks up to Osiris as a big sister and has a criminal for a father, people can't help but respect the girl who's probably helped everyone out of sickness at least once.
Iron Man, later revealing himself as Tony Stark, proceeded to use his new specialties to revolutionize the world. However, people tried their best to have him charged for some of the atrocities caused during the war. When his actions were reviewed, including the circumstances of being an Endbringer's target, he was found not guilty. Most speculate he was freed for the benefits of his extremely strong tinker specialties so that he can support the heroes.
He quit the Protectorate after the event and court hearing and began to work privately, selling his productions legally after the courts gave him an exception to NEPTA5 due to his upgrade. Power Armors for the PRT which at its highest can allow them to be Brute 7, power sources of clean, renewable energy that helped against all of Behemoth's energy industry destruction and could power entire cities. Every once in a while, he will create a new marvel that changes the world. Widely considered just as good if not better than Hero was in his life.
Plenty of people argue that the over 40,000 people and city of BB that were destroyed were worth it for Iron Man and his power alone. Iron Man now lives as an Independent in New Brockton Bay City, rebuilt using all the money Tony received from his business patents and sales from his company, Stark & Genos Solutions.

...So, How was my wrap-up? How do you guys remember the 1st Holy Grail War and what were you doing?
The Biggest Mystery of this war was what the Protectorate was doing since there was a posted Team ENE(East-North-East) of 5 heroes that were not seen during the entire event. The PRT officers were at least busy helping civilians but not a pro hero to be found. Still nobody can answer why, the horrible excuses never satisfying anyone.

A self made holy grail war? Betrayal?Chaos?Rampant Slaughter? all for the sake of a single,unknown Wish?...YES.
I've been oh so bored ever since since I've been busy consolidating my Rule,...I needed a fun diversion and a way to play with my newfound power and this has given me Plenty of inspiration...I should probably talk to Kari,Yuuka,and Remy first they'll definitely be interested in setting up a Grail War of our own.

It's times like this where I can't tell if Osiris is playing pretend at actually being a god or not. As for the first war, I distinctly remember hiding while pissing myself. I was there when Brandish and Magneto destroyed all of downtown. Nightmare doesn't begin to describe it.

As disrespectful as it can seem considering the city got… you know, leveled, I kinda have to agree with Osiris in calling Brockton Bay the Tutorial Level. The only contestant with a full faction of parahumans and normals got his forces wiped out the first day of fighting, there was approximately one alliance made that ended in no double crossing, and there were no- well, deliberate war crimes from the contestants.
Compared to what would be committed later on by contestants fully aware and prepared for the realities that the "play areas" are fully removed from outside interference and that there is indeed a genuine if potentially open-ended wish on the line… Brockton Bay was a milk run.

A bit contrary to popular opinion, I'm actually happy with what Magneto did with his wish.
My mom is a parahuman and we spent a lot of time moving around various cities to avoid all the cops and robbers.
So, once the whole Egypt thing happened, my mother used all her resources to get us there.
Now we live a quiet life in Cairo (hardly anyone will do anything in an Endbringer's yard) and I spend part of the day reading letters to interested parties (I can also twist things in your favor for a good price *wink* *wink* )
I even learned about Panacea when she cured my mother's terminal cancer! Needless to say, I give her and Marquis a free reading when they stop by my house.
Although I regret all the deaths that have happened, I am very happy to live in a place like this.
PS Marquis Could you stop sending those death threats? I really have nothing with your daughter.
Edit:
Was it necessary to add that last label about panacea? I was running away from Marquis for about two hours just because of that.

That event will always be looked upon as the beginning of madness and my heart continues to go out to the many victims and their families God damn Osiris.
However an even greater scourge...is that webbed menace SPIDER MAN! Who is that under the mask? Why doesn't he reveal his identity and show the world who he truly is!
At least Osiris doesn't hide and welcomes all attempts at pushback...even if she doesn't agree with all the recriminations.

I can agree that Kaiser VS Magneto was really a rigged match for Magneto.
BUT it wasn't just Magneto involved, if we look closely in that lineup there were at least 3 parahumans with abilities that could beat Magneto.
Those are: Thor, Brandish, Marquis.
Even with Marquis we know that Magneto had to threaten to harm Amy to get her to surrender (something Brandish herself did to imprison him, according to Marquis himself) This after his fight to the death against Thor!
So while Magneto had a clear advantage against at least three opponents, the other three could stand up to him.

While definitely not as depressing as some of the later Wars, Brandish was such an utter waste for the hero side in the First War. I've seen some investigative reports on her, she did good work with the rest of New Wave under Lady Photon's leadership. But apparently having her "greatest success" in Birdcaging Marquis was too much for her and out came the crazy. What even was the deal lady? You've rescued hundreds of people from burning buildings but Bone Boy popping up again and making off with his own daughter tilts you enough to level half a city?
Ironically, she's level with Magneto as the defining cape of the First War. She inadvertently saved Magneto from Marquis and gave the man his first of two kills. Had she done anything just a little differently, anyone else could've won. …'cept Kaiser. Brandish will probably be remembered forever, if not exactly positively

I'm just glad we don't have to deal with that again, new BB never has to worry about another HG coming to our town again. My family were lucky enough to be out of the cross fire but that war left its scares on a few of my friends, they just weren't the same after the war.

One thing people do not realize is that the human nature in itself is made for conflict. Our new draconic overlord did this as a test of humanity. She set the conditions. Set the price. Set the minimum requirements. She gave a gift and others misused it. Power shows humanity's true colors? Well we saw how many heroes shat the bed when it mattered. I saw how Carol Dallon flipped the switch and went all murder crazy against Thor. It is the reality. She keeps her promises. Grants our wishes. And in return? She asked for a game. One where only 4 people had to die. Because of her holding to our wishes,my family now lives happily in Egypt ,not worried about getting shot out of nowhere or stabbed..or blasted- you get the point. Caught her around my workshop. (My brother is a Tinker so we usually sell some of the stuff he builds to other supers) and thought her to be just a kid. We have quite a few case 53-s round here so I just went with it. Gave her a chocolate bar and a headpat and went back to work.
Little minx told me she was the simurgh and just dipped.
Nice gal,if a little trollish. (Though only over here. Can't say the same for other places.)
