Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an elite private magical institution located in a relatively unplottable area of Scotland (although all wizards know it to be located near Hogsmeade). It is a normally sized institution with an enrollment of 1,000 students per year. Admissions are based on magicality and are thus not competitive. Popular (and hated) classes include Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, Muggle Studies, Herbology, History of Magic, and many more. Graduating 99% (0.05% include the infamous Weasley twins, and the 0.95% include all students who met an unfortunate ending while at Hogwarts) of students, Hogwarts alumni typically pursue stable jobs (or live off their parents wealth) in the magical world.
