Interlude 2: The Second War Review
Coast Of Somalia, Africa. October 5th, 2004. 4th Day of the War. 3:56 PM. Ash Beast:
Do you know what it is like to forget colors?
It took me over a day of just staring at the sky before I recalled it. Blue.
For so many years, all I have seen is the damnable bright white lights of my explosions that I forgot every other color. It comes back to me as I stand around this town. Some green plants here, brown docks by the shore over there, and a variety of the other colors all around if you just look for them.
Gaining this curse saved my life but sometimes life is not worth living. The feel of the wind on my body, the ability to see farther than an inch from my face, and being able to feel the touch of anyone were all things I missed.
The worst was never having a conversation in my entire time as that ever-shifting beast. I've heard others call our race a social animal and it is an UNDERSTATEMENT of how much that is true.
With no sun, moon, stars, or anything else to tell me the time, I just wandered around since that was the only thing I could feel in my life. That witch freed me of my chains and for that I'm ever grateful.
She informed me of how much damage I caused with my little walks. My life is truly cursed for the one sensation I could feel ended in innumerable deaths. I considered ending it there now that I have a chance but I wanted to be selfish for once.
She even took the time to explain why she fixed me and what my obligations were in return. I probably couldn't have understood her if she didn't talk in my mind with the information just being known to me with absolutely no way of misunderstanding it.
I must play her games and kill another if I wish to live. I asked her if I had to participate in a murder and she stated that the choice was mine along with the consequences.
The woman told me I could do as I wish so let me enjoy this little time I have then die peacefully. Everyone I loved died in my trigger, whether to my explosions or the invading warlord I don't know. It would be nice to join them.
I have 7 days of peace to enjoy all these sensations again. Apparently the small village I was dropped in doesn't have enough communication to even know they are cut off from the rest of the world.
I talked with some people and just listened to others. When the only sounds you hear for years are constant explosions, even everyday conversation is a gift. There was even one missionary who hugged me when she looked at my eyes and tried to bless me. I don't believe in her god but human contact for the first time in so long nearly made a convert of me then and there.
Then I watched her die.
As an endless number of monsters appear from the sea, I watch as the only people that I can remember interacting with die. I was originally going to stay out of this war, but let it not be said that I don't pay my debts. That little bit of happiness I received is worth as much death as I can deliver to these menaces.
So I exploded. Again and again. I explode and throw explosions until every little monster goes away from my sight. I thought I scared them away when little did I know it was just the beginning.
In the middle of the night I find the hordes raiding the location, trying their best to end me. NO. If I was a monster to humanity without even knowing it, lets just see how much damage I can cause intentionally.
While I am attacking everything in the sea and sky, I'm suddenly approached from behind by some of the people I thought I was protecting from harm. Blotches appear on their skin with unfocused eyes but rage marking their faces. They attack me again and I realize that I've lost the battle. No matter if I kill them all or not, I failed the people I tried to protect.
I could not tell you when it started and ended, having time pass by as everything is annihilated is a longtime acquaintance. The enemies show no end but neither do I. I'm one of those known as a 'noctus' cape by technicality, I have no need to sleep when I can just shift to an energy state that erases the need for sleep.
I don't manage to kill them all but only because they flee. They are smart enough to at least realize what they can't kill. I spend the next hour or so marking a grave for the lost while killing any remaining enemies or infected nearby that seem to be keeping an eye on me.
It is as I'm ending another of the lost that surges of lightning fall from the sky onto me. At first I believe it is divine intervention punishing me for my failures, but I look up into the air and see a far off human figure in the sky. So this virus has even infected such a powerful parahuman?
She continuously throws lightning at me without saying anything but grunts, enforcing in my mind that she is infected since she doesn't speak and keeps trying something that doesn't work. Finally after twenty minutes with no results, she switches up her tactics and starts throwing heavy wind at me to throw off my flinged explosions and damage me with nearby objects.
I have no idea how long this back and forth continues with the former human trying different things without success. Heavy winds throwing sharp objects at me? I explode them. Using concentrated lightning to try and make a crater then drown me. I explode the water and earth. Hail storm? I explode it. Tornadoes trying to slam me against the ground to death? I explode myself away.
When the fighting finally ends, I take time to catch my breath. Even if I'm not physically tired, the mental strain is immense.
More time passes as I just think about how to handle the terror that has caused all this loss. I saw most of those monsters come from the same direction, perhaps I can explode my way over there? That seems to be how all my plans end anyway. My planning gets interrupted as I feel the ground shaking heavily in the distance.
I watch as a man with extraordinary strength reeks havoc around the shoreline with his running, coming in my direction. Another of the infected? I've already been attacked over and over again today, let me have the advantage just this once.
I just want to avenge the only people who treated me with respect. What happens afterwards is something I can figure out if the day comes.

Hi, next update here.
The world was all in shock over the horrors committed in the first event, but people soon found out that Osiris was playing 'nice' with us at that time.
Let me preface the events with a thing that happened slightly before the second war.
It was September 27th, 2004 during an interview. Eidolon was being asked again about the long-term impact of Osiris and what the Triumvirate were thinking, agreeing to her terms. Eidolon eventually bursts out 10 minutes into the rough interview saying that 'the disgusting endbringer will never win over humanity and I will make sure she dies like the whore she is!'
Two days later on some of the first PHO boards, a thread about the interview was posted. The first and only comment posted below before it was locked was by a user called Dreams_Do_Come_True who couldn't be banned or removed no matter what anyone tried. We now know who it is obviously, but it was just slightly strange at the time. Her post read
"...And I took that personally."
...It's amazing what one interview can cause on a larger scale if Osiris was telling the truth. This was the time where we figured out that having a sentient Endbringer might not be the best thing if they can get offended by our insults. As a result of this war atrocities, people usually keep their negative thoughts on Osiris to themselves, not wishing to be pointed out as the reason the earth suffered again.
Osiris hasn't responded to any other comments or insults to her person in such an extreme fashion since, making the world guess whether it was an excuse or if she just really hated Eidolon
Thus it started on October 2nd, 2004: The Second Holy Grail War. You may have noticed I didn't list the location, well Osiris did a much better job when she originally did it. Here is a transcript of that.
Transcript of Osiris' Introduction of the 2nd Grail War:
"HELLLLLO DEAR VIEWERS. IT IS I, YOUR HOST WITH THE MOST, OSIRIS!"
Osiris jumps up and down at this moment, shaking her 'assets' for the whole world. Most people would definitely agree that she has the 'most'. STRICKEN FROM THE RECORD
"Anyways, some people said some really mean things about me and hurt my feelings. I had you guys agree to everything first and you still hate me. Sore Losers~~~~"
"But whatever, you guys keep on hatin' and I'll keep on doing my thing and looking fabulous while I do it!"
"So, it's time for my second war, and the location is chosen! Are you excited? Now announcing who has the honor of being host, drum roll please!"
A devilish grin appears on her face as she gets ready to announce the location, a look is shown on her face now known to be associated with a bad time to any caught by that gaze. An echo of drums plays in the background before reaching its ending.
"CONGRATULATIONS….AFRICA!"
"Where in Africa you ask?...ALL OF IT!"
".…well almost. Everyone knows not to let strangers in your own backyard after all so Egypt is exempt. You're welcome my fellow egyptians."
TRANSCRIPT ENDED
Right after Egypt gets turned upside down and they're still trying to fix their problems, Osiris goes for the throat of an entire continent.
Rule 3: Seven contestants will be teleported into the location. Whether there is a time to prepare or not is subject to change year by year by the decision of Osiris.
Apparently, Osiris has a very broad view on what is the definition of a location. Most people won't consider calling an entire continent a location but there we were. The only thing that let people calm down after this is that she generally stuck to single cities aftewards with the exception of New Zealand, which had a smaller population than most large scale cities. Eidolon is also permanently banned from any social media and has all his interviews pre-rehearsed beforehand now.
The same red walls as last time separated all of Africa from the rest of the world with the exception of Egypt including a slight bit of the ocean bordering the continent. For reference back before all the state lines was destroyed and new countries formed from the aftermath.
The trade, economic, and traveling effects this caused alone was widespread damage to the entire world. Osiris did state that she is willing to provide food and water which will be teleported to any civilian affected by the war(inside or outside the walls) from now on as 'starving you all to death isn't the point.'
…And now the details.
The Second Holy Grail War. Almost All Of Africa AKA 'Apocalypse Difficulty' By Osiris AKA 'The Collapse' or 'The World's Worst Event' by the general populace
A.) CONTESTANTS
NOTE: ALL Contestants were also given a teleportation ability that will bring them within a 3 miles of a random non-allied contestant of this war once a day unless they were in range of another enemy contestant. When teleporting, it also gives you the direction the chosen teleport target is from you. This was due to the sheer size of the fighting range.
4 Villain, 3 Heroes at the start
1.)Moord Nag
Original Power: Technically not a villain, after all she was a warlord so she makes the rules. Controlled most of northwest Africa. Master pet 'scavenger' gains permanent increase in size and power by consuming the dead. Master 9. Mastered pet has ratings of Brute 8, Mover 3, Shaker 3(given due to extremely large size alone)
Upgraded Power: Given what Osiris calls the 'bifurcation process'. If Moord Nag and her pet aren't both killed within 24 hours of each other, the one killed will come back. Moord Nag also gained her pet's abilities. Allowed pet(and Moord Nag) to eat dead bodies through their skin, saving time. Brute 10, Master 9, Mover 3. Pet also has Shaker 3 due to its size. Brute and Mover ratings increased for both as the war dragged on. Shaker rating increased for the pet as the war dragged on.
2.)Storm
Original Power: Well respected Independent from Egypt who returned to her homeland of Kenya after 2003's wish. Can produce weather effects(heavy winds, rain, lightning) in a small shaker effect around her body. The range grows as she remains still, to the point where she could control an entire city's weather patterns if left alone. Is often vital in stopping rain for leviathan fights and helping areas suffering drought. Shaker 3-9, Blaster 4-6, Mover 3
Upgraded Power: Allows shaker field to be maintained when moving, only resetting with unconsciousness. Increased shaker field's range. Increased power and control over all generated weather effects. Shaker 12, Blaster 8, Mover 6
3.)All-Might
Original Power: Top Hero of Japan. Initially believed to be just a strong brute, it was found out that he is actually the latest carrier of a nicer version of the butcher that is only passed willingly. The power has been around apparently since the dawn of powers in 1982, shifting hands until it's reached its current user: All Might the 8th wielder. Strength of the last power in the link is stronger with the more previous users there have been in the chain. Enhanced All-Might's brute power to insane levels. He is not as durable as Alexandria, but he is stronger. Brute 9, Mover 5, Trump 3.
Upgraded Power: Increased All-Might's personal brute quirk to an insane level, Osiris saying that he could punch a hole in an endbringer if he goes long enough. Also buffed the power that could be passed, allowing current users to unlock the powers of previous owners with combat and time. Brute 12, Mover 7, Trump 7
4.)Ash Beast
Original Power: Wandering large-scale shaker of Africa. Would be considered an S-class threat if he was faster. Power is a Shapeshifting beast form generated through constant matter to energy and energy to matter conversion. This cuts off Ash Beast from interacting with the outside world while having his body create constant explosions that can destroy almost anything. Breaker 10, Shaker 8, Blaster 4
Upgraded Power: Control over his shifting power. Increases strength of explosions with proximity to Ash Beast's body. Can direct his explosions now that he can control them. Breaker 10, Shaker 12, Mover 7(uses explosions to launch himself), Blaster 7
5.)Tatsumaki AKA Tornado
Original Power: Currently an independent of Britain, yet uses Tatsumaki as her name to honor her home country. Triggered together with her sister when trapped as a lab subject, Tatsumaki is one of the strongest shakers in existence. She has wide-scale telekinesis not unlike the simurgh, the only problem is her power requires her to send all objects in long arcs. This leads to a lot of collateral damage, objects thrown all over the place like her namesake. Shaker 10, Blaster 6
Upgraded Power: The first contender with a removed manton limit. Can freely use her telekinesis on living things, including herself. Removes the arc requirement. Shaker 12, Blaster 8, Mover 8
6.)All-For-One
Original Power: Underground power broker of Japan and a whispered name by most at best. Power is to be able to take the power of another parahuman unnoticed if they are within his range long enough(~6 hours) and store it within himself. Can then choose to give the power to others if he wished with a similar time period, making an army of loyal soldiers and businessmen for himself that were originally powerless. His limit was letting any given person(including himself) have two separate powers counting powers already owned. The Yangban and others have attempted to 'recruit' him multiple times to no avail thanks to a thinker blocking subordinate that helped him stay safe. Also has power sight, allowing him to see if someone is a parahuman on eye contact. Trump 10, Thinker 3
Upgraded Power: Removed limit on the number of personal powers, while making it to where other people could have 3 powers now instead of 2. Increased speed of his power retrieval, now appro. 5 seconds for non-contenders. The only known human permanent power-gifter in existence with no cost. Trump 15(Only one in history to be given this rating. The only things higher are Scion and Osiris, both given a rating of N/A in most categories)
7.)Nilbog
Original Power: The scourge of Ellisburg. bio-tinker who could create custom minions by recycling living bio-matter manually. Tinker/Striker 8, Master 8
Upgraded Power: Increases speed creating and increases versatility in designs. Capability for plagues increased. Allows for remote communication with creations. Tinker/Striker 12, Master 10, Thinker 5
B.) BATTLES & EVENTS:
Note: Every member of this war eventually has a large mover rating or could create endless minions to cover ground. Every person could also teleport once a day, making this war cover an obscene amount of space.
Note2: I decided not to separate by time of day for this war as there are plenty of events taking place over an entire day, making the format hard to justify
Day 1:
Nilbog was dropped into the middle of a forest in the middle of Madagascar away from all his previous creations. He screams in anger at his lost kingdom as he gets to work in his grief. He quickly consumes the nearby forest to fuel his creations. Fast and mobile beasts comparative in appearance to large wolves with tentacle arms got to work traveling the land and scouting everything. Nilbog continues to create an army as his creations proceed to drag all resident life on Madagascar to him to change into his own designs. He eventually makes breeders that pump out specific designs using biomass and speeds up the process. This goes on for the entire day, quickly ruining the island country and bringing horror to the world.
Moord Nag, warlord of Mauritania in Northwestern Africa, begins to use her power to the fullest now that she doesn't have to worry about her personal weakness. She has her pet travel west killing everyone in its path. She would have picked a different direction and done the same, but she didn't wish to partake in cannibalism to grow stronger herself. She remained in her seat of power while her animal collected more strength. The beast killed tens of thousands in a relentless slaughter, eating all it came across. Updated Brute 10, Mover 4-5, Shaker 4 with a long serpentine body for the beast measuring vertically at 30 meters, twice Leviathan's size.
All MIght uses a teleport of his after checking his immediate surroundings, bringing him 3 miles away from All-For-One. He immediately goes to engage after hearing cries for help, finding All-For-One raiding a minor warlord's camp. All-For-One gained 15 powers since the game has started with over a thousand deaths by his damages to reach parahumans. All Might immediately goes to apprehend All-For-One but the power All-For-One had before being brought into the war, a strong durability based brute power, allowed him to barely survive a minute of combat.
He quickly uses a smokescreen power to temporarily block All Might from seeing him and then combining a weak clone power with a speedster power to run in multiple different directions, confusing All-Might from the real one. When he gets just far enough, he uses his teleport which brings him near Storm. However he ignores her location after his beating and goes on to stealthily take every power he can from nearby towns, preparing for later.
Tatsumaki also uses her daily teleport, heading in the direction of her enemy. Eventually she ends up at Moord Nag's home base and finds the woman in her throne. A brief battle ensues with Tatsumaki quickly managing to kill Moord Nag by using telekinesis internally on her to rip her to pieces. Tatsumaki is confused why she hasn't received a kill but decides to move on from that battle and see if any of the residents needed help.
Ash Beast walks around a nearby town where he started confused for the day as he hasn't been able to interact with anyone for the past 6 years since his trigger. He doesn't seem particularly interested in taking the game seriously.
Storm in her hometown of Kenya is assessing the situation and making sure everyone is safe.
Day 2:
Nilbog finds out he is on a large island country from his creation's communications. As such, he begins to conquer the sea by creating aquatic lifeforms while continuing to ravage the local life for biomass. He infects a nearby river leading to the ocean with sea animals that spread a disease that mutates others to breathe on land and move better. Then he spends most of the day creating a monster known as Scylla, who's power lets her control all the infected sea animals as a hive-mind. A living representation of the virus. She stayed by Nilbog's side for the as long as she could in the game.
Moord Nag's beast continues its rampage, growing stronger and larger as it moves. Moord Nag herself comes back at 3:08 PM right next to the beast, the exact second Tatsumaki killed her. She separates as fast as she can so they aren't stuck together. She going south and attacking a nearby town for more strength. After her recent pseudo-death, she has no more problems with cannibalism and beings consuming the dead through her skin. However, she experiences a case of bad luck.
First, Storm joins in on the game and uses her teleport which brings her near Moord Nag in Niger. After approaching the woman murdering civilians, the fight begins. Storm goes easy at first due to being in the middle of a town, but Moord Nag isn't playing along. She destroys vast infrastructure with every attack.
Storm, however, had an advantage in being able to fly while Moord Nag couldn't reach her. With her upgraded abilities, she continuously struck Moord Nag with lightning and tornadoes, destroying the entire area but managing to kill Moord Nag after hours of lightning strikes.
Then, Tatsumaki is back, following the trail of destruction to the pet scavenger that has completely destroyed the land and people westward. Currently the pet is marked at 120 meters and has insane ratings of Brute 12, Mover 7, Shaker 7. The beast drew a line of complete death from western sahara, Morocco, and half of Algeria before being attacked by Tatsumaki. It is hard to count the number of deaths when it ate all the bodies.
Tatsumaki engages the beast as it runs through the nearest city, eating everyone in its path. The fight took hours of Tatsumaki continuously condensing everything she could find with telekinesis and throwing it at the beast as hard as she could. An entire city was eventually condensed into the size of a building-shaped spear by Tatsumaki, which was used as a battering ram to attack the beast over and over again. It took an hour and a half to kill with the deaths of almost everyone else anywhere near the area. Since Storm and Tatsumaki both technically contributed to Moord Nag's complete death, Osiris ruled that Tatsumaki got the credit due to putting in more work.
Nobody knows how the war would end if all this didn't happen and Moord Nag was allowed to grow. Moord Nag became famous and a running meme for how unlucky she is, being killed around 3 times in the span of 2 days and getting randomly selected for other people's teleports twice.
All-For-One continues to run around with all of the mover ratings he has gathered to every populated area he can find and steal their powers. All the disasters this has caused for several of the warlord camps and people through the countries is counted as part of the war's deaths.
All Might spends another teleport charge later in the day after helping the people near where he fought All-For-One since he has no idea where to begin. It only sends him to Storm and the aftermath of her fight with Moord Nag. All Might is devastated at the destruction and tries to help the few survivors there are in the area.
Ash beast continues to be bewildered at his changes.
Day 3:
True horror begins. Nilbog's sea virus spreads and the eastern coast is assaulted. The coasts of Eritrea, Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and South Africa are invaded while smaller islands in between Madagascar and the main continent are overrun. Deaths from these actions alone were innumerable, all the damage of the previous war seemed like a joke. Nilbog begins making aerial units. Despite being the only contestant to not physically fight himself in the war, he and his power are the cause of most of the damage.
Many civilians near the borders of Egypt tried to escape into the country to escape the deaths, only to die along the red barrier separating it from the rest of the continent.
All-For-One continues to gather powers, taking his time. He seems to be immensely excited when he acquired a power that grants him an striker-based annihilator effect, seeing it as something he can use to deal with All Might's obscene brute rating.
Tatsumaki traces the Moord Nag's destruction westward and finds the pair of Storm and All Might. Not knowing the extent of damage to the rest of Africa, they decide to take the day helping as many people as they can. This is probably the most criticized moment of the war, since they might of been able to stop most of the problems if one of them were able to teleported onto and kill Nilbog that day.
They decide to each use a teleport at 9 AM tomorrow. They decide to keep using their teleports at 9AM so they could try and face the villains together if they land in the same place.
Ash Beast, while near the coast of Somalia, sees all the destruction that Nilbog's aquatic army begins to commit and helps the town fight them off in a surprising move. With the constant explosions he manages to fling at the advancing army and the ocean, he manages to hold back a portion of the advancing army. Nilbog is informed of this development by his creatures and decides to command his troops to focus on the interloper. He gathers all the created forces he can and sends them on a late night attack on the location.
Day 4:
The attack began early in the morning at 3AM. Ash Beast is assaulted from all sides. Aerial units and an endless swarm of beasts from the ocean go his location, hoping to end his life.
It was around 2 hours later at 5AM when the fight really started picking up. The aerial units were carrying plagues that would spread to the land-based life and make them berserk attacking any life that wasn't infected. All the nearby humans were infected and started to rush Ash Beast, merely running into their death.
While Ash Beast seemed saddened over the deaths, he continued protecting himself, killing all who approached and tried to kill him. This continued for three and a half more hours until Nilbog temporarily gave up the assault at 8:30AM. At 9AM, the three heros began to move.
Storm used her teleport and ended up three miles away from Ash Beast in Somalia, quickly approaching the sound of explosions and finding him. Recognizing his explosions and seeing him surrounded by dead bodies, Storm quickly goes to attack him and end what she assumes is a slaughter by a known village-killer. It is not known if she decided to ignore the corpses of the monsters or thought them irrelevant compared to the mass slaughter in front of her.
The fight is hours of grueling damage, but Storm's lightning is ineffective against a dynakinetic and her tornados aren't strong enough. After finally getting lucky with an explosion perfectly launching himself at Storm, Ash Beast kills her with a point-blank blast.
All Might and Tatsumaki use their teleport at the same time as well, ending up with both of them landing on slightly away from All-For-One. They both approach, with All-For-One far more confident after taking over one hundred powers of all sorts of variety. He fights well against the two, but Tatsumaki's non-manton limited telekinesis makes the fighting too hard for him. He uses about 20 different powers in succession to become able to get out of their range and teleport again.
He lands near Ash Beast but decides to take a different direction west after just losing a big fight and speeds up his power collection, running just like previously in the war. As this is 10AM and All-For-One has acquired a Noctus Power, he spends the next 21 hours collecting powers at high speed before he becomes confident again.
All Might and Tatsumaki end up at the eastern coastline of Africa in Mozambique by following destruction afterwards and decide to split up to take care of the damages. All Might goes north while Tatsumaki goes south. Both of them take quick work of the infected with their powers, Tatsumaki continuing south while All Might reaches Somalia in the north at 4PM, an hour and a half after Ash Beast killed Storm. He was still there at the location.
This time, Ash Beast attacks All Might first, not wanting to be attacked twice in one day. All Might is surprised but defends himself. Nobody knows how this war would of changed if Storm just took the time to talk with Ash Beast first.
All Might tanks all the explosions and quickly approaches the tired parahuman who has been fighting for 14 hours straight. Ash Beast's life ends quickly, two minutes into his fight with one up-close punch by All Might. All Might seems devastated by all the murder and tries his best to find anyone alive so he could help them.
Day 5:
All-For-One decides enough is enough at 7AM and that he has all the strength he needs now to fight other contestants. He uses a random teleport and ends up in the middle of Nilbog's hordes on Madagascar. Using the hundreds of powers he has acquired until now, he decimates his way through the forces until he arrives at the heart of Nilbog's formation. Nilbog yells at the man, telling him to 'know better than attack a king'.
All-For-One fights at the heart of Nilbog's power for 30 minutes straight, however it is obvious that something is wrong. None of the monsters really have any way to deal with all All-For-One's power as Nilbog focused on quantity instead of quality but aren't really being killed. The reason is revealed at the 30 minute mark when Nilbog's horde turns on him, tearing him limb from limb on All-For-One's behalf.
It takes All-For-One 5 seconds to take a regular parahuman's power, but it apparently took him 30 minutes to take Nilbog's upgraded power. The horde is revealed to have been forced to do the action, as All-For-One used a voice-based master power with Nilbog's extended communication to his creations to order them all to serve him.
Everyone thinks at least the nightmare has died, but that hope is vanquished when All-For-One continued Nilbog's work. He begins repairing what of the horde that he can and starts giving the stronger one's powers he had no personal use. He was able to turn 8 of Nilbog's strongest monsters he left alive into country-wide threats. He gave Scylla powers to hide and continue her remote control over the sea-to-amphibious monsters continually produced by the spread plagues.
It becomes 9AM. Tatsumaki and All Might both use their teleports to end up at the only other living contestant. They do the same song and dance as last time, but this time All-For-One has an army at his back. When Tatsumaki and All Might are engaging all of the swarm and All-For-One, it is their disadvantage. All the plagues apparently counted as a master effect, probably the only thing that saved the world.
All-For-One had some chances to possibly end it, but he played safe and escaped as his army diminished. It is not known if he was trying to take their powers, but it seems he had to exert himself too much to concentrate on the action. He continued to run so that the two heroes would lose sight of him.
That was the final ingredient to the worst event in human history. All-For-One would spend the rest of the day after running continuing to produce Nilbog's viruses, grant his weaker powers to the best created monsters, and taking more powers from the population.
With the widespread viruses leaving berserk and infected civilians everywhere, All Might and Tatsumaki have no choice but to kill the infected civilians so that they can't spread the disease further.
Day 6, Day 7 And Overtime:
Day 6, Day 7, and the two weeks of overtime afterwards are much of the same. More than two heart-wrecking grueling weeks of watching All-For-One fight All Might and Tatsumaki with an ever-replinishing horde of all varieties by his side. The heroes had to kill more infected civilians as the fighting continued, watching more and more fall to all the bio-tinker plagues.
The morning would be a fight between the three after the heroes teleport towards him, before All-For-One begins to run out of minions later in the day. He escapes with his endless number of powers then creates more minions to fight again. The two heroes would switch protecting each other for a couple hours of rest while culling the hordes and then the next day would start. The process repeats over and over for two weeks and two days.
If the war ended immediately after the first week, only five million people might of died discounting future spreading of the virus. Because all the biotinker plagues had an extra two weeks to spread over an entire continent, the deaths were astronomical.
Most of the world thought we were doomed, calling All-For-One the Symbol of Evil and preparing for the end of the games when all the viruses are released to the wider world. A world-wide initiative was set up around all the barriers of the country. Everyone, even China, came and put all of their resources together to try and stop the possible end of the world.
Tatsumaki continuously kept high in the sky and killed the hordes as she could from safety, knowing she was the weakest of the three but doing anything to prevent All-For-One from winning. Tatsumaki offered at one point against her own pride to allow All Might to kill her, but he wouldn't do it no matter how much she asked.
At this point it still wasn't known or believed that Osiris could bring back the dead since she never has before. People didn't understand just how all-encompassing her wishes are in effect and All Might just couldn't bring himself to kill an innocent person. The world still blames him for this moment, saying that there is a limit where kindness becomes weakness.
The world waited with held breaths for a horrible end but that day never came.
It was when All-For-One tried to rush on All Might as he was busy and kill him with his disintegration power that it happened. All Might unlocked one of the powers of his predecessors. A striker power that produced black whips from All Might's body which could nullify other powers was displayed.
All-For-One began destroying All-Might's stomach with his disintegrating power while they were in a minute-long slugfest when suddenly all his powers and protections stopped. All Might kept a hold of him and his multiple whips' striker power finally got through All-For-One's resistance to trump effects. All Might then used the strongest punch he could and ended part of the nightmare after All-For-One's protections were nullified.
The war finally ended and All Might and Tatsumaki were teleported in front of Osiris like the last war, fully healed. Both drop to their knees in absolute exhaustion, near dead emotionally from the atrocities. All Might cries his heart and soul out, despairing the damage done to humanity while questioning the world. One of the rawest moments of human emotion ever recorded in the world.
"Why, why all this horror? Can we not have a little peace? Just a break from the nightmares?"
All Might continues to cry for a couple of minutes before raising himself from his knees with the last of his willpower and stands to walk towards Osiris for his wish. During this entire time, Osiris was merely watching him with almost a bemused expression.
As All Might meets her eyes, Osiris responds before he can speak.
"Wish Granted."

All Might(Wins with 2 Kills): Wishes to give humanity 'a little peace'. While I'm sure he didn't mean to have this be his exact wish, Osiris ran with it.
E.)AFTERMATH
Osiris deliberates on the matter for a minute before deciding how she is going to do it. She soon makes a decision.
First, from the current date of October 9th, 2004 until January 1st, 2008, none of the other endbringers will do any actions on earth besides defend themselves. Considering that we hadn't had a third attack in the year of 2004 yet, that is 10 endbringer attacks that All Might prevented with his 'wish'.
"Maybe next time, wish for peace instead of some peace? I would have stopped all my siblings forever if that was the case?"
Osiris also offered to master all of humanity to not attack each other at all for the entire period by saying that,
"I could take humanities free will away in order to stop you guys from fighting for some 'peace', but I have a feeling you don't actually want that. I'll be nice and ask instead of just doing it, you deserve it after all. Do you want that? Would you like me to control all of humanity and change their minds for your wish?"
All Might vehemently refuses the thought of enslaving the world and Osiris moves on to the next subject.
Osiris states that while she will not stop her games, as it is entirely the humans All Might wasn't willing to control doing the damage, she will adjust them so that no deaths have to be caused. Osiris said that the following changes will be in effect as long as the amendment is agreed upon by the original agreeing party, Alexandria.
Rule 6: If a contestant doesn't have a kill by the time the war ends, they will be killed.
Rule 6 is until January 1st, 2008, considered null and void. No participant will need a kill to live.
Rule 8:The war ends after seven days with whoever has killed the most contestants and is alive wins.
If all seven contestants of a war are tied at 0 kills until January 1st, 2008, then a chance for a wish will be granted to all seven people.
This change to rule 8 didn't particularly affect much, as the villains and heroes in the game still killed the other participants to try and ensure their victory or make sure certain people wouldn't get a wish. It did allow the games to hypothetically end with 0 kills committed which Osiris said counted for her version of 'peace'.
"After all, you already said you weren't willing to mind control everyone. So, I'm not going to stop them besides incentivising them not to fight. I doubt it will do much, but it's up to humanity now."
While the change to Rule 8 didn't matter in the end, the change to Rule 6 saved two heroes over the years, where both went on to use their lives to change the world.
Osiris also claimed that to be 'extra-nice and peaceful', that she was going to un-infect anyone who fell victim to Nilbog and All-For-One's viruses, heal them, and neutralize all that remains in the environment. This includes the end of the monster Scylla they missed. This single action of 'kindness' by Osiris saved approximately 160 Million people in Africa and stopped worldwide devastation by all the wide-spread diseases if they couldn't be stopped.
She announced one more thing that blew up how the entire world functions. Osiris declared she felt 'kinda bad' and announced that there will never be another Endbringer attack or war in Africa, causing mass immigration to come into the land once it was made livable. It was tacked onto All Might's peace wish.
"How's that for 'peace'? Aren't I so nice?"
Some blamed All Might for not wishing for more, but considering everyone saw that Osiris took the first thing he said as a 'wish' after all that fighting, people didn't really blame him too much.
All Might remains the only winner to use his wish in a non-selfish way. This, his strength, and his sincerity all have allowed All MIght to continuously be the most popular hero in the world.

All Might went on to return to his birth country of Japan. While Japan was still recovering from the destruction of Kyushu back in 1999, everything began to change with this as a turning point. All Might traveled around and kept crime controlled in his country to the point that the mere threat of him to villains was enough to have All Might named the Symbol of Peace in Japan.
From all the efforts of All Might and another future contestant, Japan remains the least violent country in the world barring being a parahuman in Egypt. Many criminals in the land fled to foreign countries to try and realize their desires, as All Might's presence alone was too much for many.
Kyushu as well was eventually raised back above ground in 2009, restored with the help of All Might, Tatsumaki, Panacea, and several other survivors of the wars and tinkers.
All Might receives constant badgering and requests from others to pass his power onto them, socially isolating him from a lot of people besides his closest friends and co-workers according to reports and overheard gossip.
Both survivors of the war seemed to be doing the best for humanity for the longest time, to the point where you could say everything that came after the war was good for the world. This doesn't erase all the damage done by the war, permanently changing the landscape of the planet.

Tatsumaki returned to the United Kingdom and became the strongest Independent hero in the world. Her extreme traveling speed let her cover multiple countries of the European Union, allowing her to do her hero work in many of them except Germany who barred her from entry for hero work. Many suggested this was due to Gesellschaft influence.
She would often go wherever she was allowed to deal with the strongest and hardest problems in the world. She grew as an icon and the main example of an independent combat parahuman. When The Guild started in Canada, she used her name to help it become a global platform.
She became the international leader of the group and head of the European branch while Narwhal became head of the Canadian branch. She shunts off most of the office work to others to continue her heroing job. Of course, there are also her other actions caused by other grail wars, but we'll get to that in future installments.

At the beginning of 2004, Africa(excluding Egypt) was reported to have a population of approximately 724,283,000 people. Between the two waves of biological hazards infecting the land and sea, Moord Nag, general fighting, and everything else All-For-One did, Approximately 80,000,000 lives were lost.
With a world population around 6.2 billion at the time, that is about 1/78th of the world's population. If it wasn't in such a heavily isolated and war-torn continent, that number alone might have been the end of the world in a more industrious location. Without Osiris' decision to stop Nilbog's damage by All Might's wish, this would have been roughly 250,000,000 or 1/25th of the world's population immediately with longer reaching consequences as it spread.
This war was greater than all previous Endbringer attacks put together with no damage since ever comparing to what happened that 3 week period. The War of Melbourne in 2006 and The War of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil AKA The War of Masters in 2008 are the only ones that even compared. Especially if you account for all the deaths caused after the end of the 2008 war and not just the war itself.
The War of Beijing could be counted amongst the largest tragedies as well but it has only been a year and we haven't been able to truly gather all the data on how much damage was truly done. The dystopian state China is currently experiencing due to the war and other events also affect our ability to gather data on it.
It's been a standard so far for the wars on even numbered years to have had the worst consequences. 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010 were some of the worst events in all of human history. That's if they didn't claim the first four places all by themselves.
Everyone agrees at this point that the other endbringers are nothing compared to what Osiris can cause, dreading and praying every year's game will end with a selfless wish.
In order to ensure another tragedy like 2004 would never happen again, a world-wide campaign was launched against S-class threats so that they couldn't be pulled into another war. The Machine Army and the Three Blasphemies were both destroyed by a world wide collective effort before the year ended, with much help from the Triumvirate and all previous game winners and survivors including Marquis and Magneto.
The Sleeper remains unassailable and the SlaughterHouse 9 went into hiding, causing mass fear over the possible day of Osiris choosing any of them. Blasto and many other bio-tinkers were murdered as well since negative sentiments about bio-tinkers were at an all time high in a world where Panacea hasn't begun to use her power to help heal the planet. This caused a shift where any bio-tinker would immediately move to the only safe place which has allowed the territory of Egypt to experience amazing growth with all of their work.
Many citizens all around the world asked why the S-class threats weren't dealt with earlier and left to sit, as the number one killer in the war could be counted as Nilbog's power. His power alone did approximately 90% of all the deaths and nearly caused the end of the world. America especially faced international critique for this.
-END OF THE SECOND WAR RECAP—
...So, How was my wrap-up? How do you guys remember the 2nd Holy Grail War and what were you doing? The tragedy still goes unforgotten by the entire world, with Osiris being declared the most destructive Endbringer to exist while also never leaving her home. Most of Africa remains as a new frontier for people wishing to start communities and is viewed as a land of opportunity.
Once Panacea, other tinkers, and large corporations helped repair everything due to the land being guaranteed for no more endbringer attacks anyway.
The northern half became an extension of Egypt's parahuman supremacy movement, controlling the land from safety with the occasional group movement to maintain order and control. With the rate of triggers in Africa higher than it has ever been anywhere else in the world after the war, most of those new parahumans from the disaster moved north to be protected by the movement.
The wealthy all over the world quickly poured all their personal money into the southern half and moved in, forming much of the continent into a business-oriented oligarchy. Many of the new laws these 'countries' created were for and by companies for larger profits, causing this new 'land of opportunities' to be a dystopia for some of the bottom class. This further hurt most other continents as the wealth and businesses flowed out of their areas.
Whether Osiris did this to make sure she had some neighbors for trade with Egypt so 'her people' had imports and exports remains to be seen. Egypt itself remains a powerhouse of technology and development in the world with its unregulated use of parahuman powers in all realms of life. Especially after Osiris made it so that tinker tech didn't unnaturally break down in Egypt's borders 'so that no one would get hurt. Safety first!'
Osiris was also asked why she didn't add Eidolon to the game if he's the reason that she went so big with all the contestants and scenery. She responded
"When you're mad at someone, you don't give them what they want. You hit them where it hurts. So, I made seven people with far stronger powers than him, let them have at it, and told the prideful bitch to keep out. I'll never add Eidolon to my games because that's EXACTLY what he wants and I don't feel like being helpful to the green man. Trust me, I'm enough of an attention whore to know one when I see one, the only difference is that I can't be ignored ."
"Half the reason I didn't contain the war to one city was that since everyone was sooooo much stronger than Eidolon, half of them could have destroyed an entire city in less than 10 minutes then it would be no fun."
"He's not worthy of my games."

I'll say it again and again, Eidolon can learn to keep his damn mouth shut, it wasn't the first or last time his attempt to show himself better than Osiris ended badly, everyone knows how that turns out.
On other notes that war was beastly, the aftermath even after it ended was horrible, at least we ended up with All-Might and Tsumaki, though a bit sad how things went for the former after the war a too nice person for all this.
Among other things what a surprise that keeping a villain like Nilbog alive will result in so many deaths, it was totally unexpected (sarcasm).
Edit: Please please take off the Bio-Tinker tag, just because my projections look real doesn't mean I am, I don't need to have something as negative as being labeled as a Bio-Tinker.

If AfO was still alive after the war (even without being the winner) he would have already brought order to this chaotic world and united it, bringing a new golden era for humanity.

I was in Morocco during this war, I triggered during one of AfO's raids for biomatter about 20 hours before All Might ended the Murder Death Kill. Say what you will about the consequences but the Demons I created from the corpses left from the war are still my most loyal and powerful companions. Being able to create powerful brutes just from corpses made my growth phase a cakewalk. RIP AfO and Nilbog you guys died as legends!

This was such a disaster so much damage for a verbal slight, so many deaths. Why Ediolen in particular? People have been cursing her out in talk shows for the first grail war for months after it happened yet she only reacts when Eidolon calls her out? Why? And I don't understand how she thinks none of this is really her fault, she literally gives psychopaths unimaginable powers, lock them in a cage and tell them to go wild, go wild while leaving us in the cross fire. Seriously fuck this Endbringer in particular! Fuck her and her undeniably gorgeous but punchable face!

That... thing is mad. She accumulated a kill count of over 5000 in a single day when she snapped and went on a rampage after Levianthan sunk Kyushu. I shudder to think how many more would have died if she had been allowed to go on for a few more days before All Might tracked her down. And even then, she probably could have kept going if she chose to escape instead of fighting.
The casualties were mostly powerless civilians but she did slay dozens of capes. All this, she did with her natural powerset. I do not ever want to see her with a boost.
We already saw what her brother was capable of with some power.

Hot take: you could see the HGWs as (mostly) 50/50 on the good/bad results.
We lost some heroes, but got souped-up ones in return to make the world better. Got rid of some villains, but got some even more dangerous folk running around. Lost a lot of people, but got some real help for the world overall. Got some real safe havens (if a bit racist or corporate oppressed), got some places absolutely obliterated!
Is all like a real bad case of draws from the deck of many things...
Yeah, All Mighty should have thought out his wish more, but hey! Until then, someone bringing an end to Endbringers' end bringing (eyyy ( ﾟヮﾟ) ) even temporarily was a daydream, especially for this long! Everyone everywhere had their emotions running high at that moment and these two went through hell. I think we can forgive him a little, especially after everything he accomplished after that.

Hey yo don't even hate on All Might, out of everyone there All Might was the most empathetic, kindest, most wholesome Hero the world has ever seen. Osiris did him dirty by taking advantage of his moment of weakness, probably why we aren't all Mastered into not trying to kill each other by being Osiris slaves. Even the fucking Endrbinger felt bad for him. A fucking Endbringer felt bad for someone, let that settle for a second.
Edit: Also can we just take a moment to appreciate that amazing punch that changed the fucking Weather?! United States of SMASH!

As a citizen of Egypt I really think Osiris just gave us what we wanted and left us with the the consequences. The true test of man's character is what they do with power and I will say I shamelessly ran from the UK as soon as I got mine, yet instead of heading to the one place on earth where parahumans are truly free others continue to hold petty squabbles and ignore everyone else!

Although years have passed I still cry Storm's death, she was an amazing woman who did everything she could to help people. While her murderer got what he deserved, part of me wishes I were the one to bring justice for her. Storm had encountered Ash Beast in the past helping people escape from his rampages so it was normal that the moment she saw him she would attack him but even today there are people who blame her for attacking him at the moment she saw him, it really makes me angry.

Forge Bro, Ash Beast was a fucking tragedy from start to finish, and Storm ate the blame for that. As confirmed by the Queen Thot of the Internet herself, he had no control over his nuke field. Rampages? The guy moved around completely randomly at a walking pace. And need we forget that one of his first moves after being given control was to turn around and help people?
There's hardly any accounting for All-For-One and his shenanigans, but Ash Beast was the best possible counter to Nilbog the War had, and he was willing to take him on. Would he have cut off the plague-maker and his new order's escalation curve at the source. We'll never know, but Storm's knee-jerk ruined any chance of Ash Beast cooperating with the heroes and wasted her life and abilities for nothing.

The point of the Holy Grail War, as she's said numerous times before, is about Humanity's character. She fully believes we'll wipe ourselves out with the powers we've gained, either from Triggers or her games, but she's always ready for us to prove her wrong. It's just that we almost never do. Nilbog and AFO were human in the end, for all their behaviors showed nothing of the sort.

Everyone keeps complaining about me adding in Nilbog like it was some huge change in my personality. You knew I picked anyone who catches my eye, I did grab Marquis out the birdcage the year before. You left him alive in his little kingdom, should have put him down as a society if you thought he was a threat to it.
Little Nilbog AKA James Ricke triggered when everything in his life betrayed him. His wife, his job, his friends. After triggering he held back his urges for 10 months without anyone reaching out to help him. All he needed was a good friend.
Nilbog is a product of humanity's selfishness and he decided that the one thing in life he wanted was some loyal friends and family then his power provided that. Who am I to say he represents humanity any less than the rest of you? From where I'm standing, you're all not that different.
