A white raven flies over the Northern wilderness towards Winterfell.

In Winterfell's dining hall, Jon is standing behind the high table, staring across the hall. Melisandre stands by his side.

Jon said, "When we had feasts, our family would sit up here… and I'd sit down there." Jon points to the other end of the hall.

Melisandre said, "Could have been worse, Jon Snow. You had a family. You had feasts?" Jon chuckles.

Jon said, "Aye, you're right. I was luckier than most." Davos enters the hall with a frown on his face.

Jon asked, "What is it?"

Davos said, "Tell him. Tell him what you tried to do to Shireen before Aldarra and the dragons get back here with everyone from Castle Black. Tell him what you tried to do to her. Tell him!"

Melisandre said, "The Princess Shireen. We tried to burn her at the stake."

Davos said, "Why?"

Melisandre said, "The army was trapped. The horses were dying. It was the only way."

Davos shouted, "You tried to burn a little girl alive!"

Melisandre shouted, "I only do what my Lord commands!"

Davos said, "If he commands you to burn children, your Lord is evil!"

She said, "We are standing here because of him. Jon Snow is alive because the Lord willed it."

Davos shouted emotionally, "I love that girl like she was my own and so does Aldarra. She is good. She is kind. And you tried to kill her!"

She said, "So did her father. So did her mother. Her own blood knew it was the only way."

Davos said, "The only way for what? They all died anyway! You told everyone Stannis was the one. You had him believing it, all of them were fooled. And you lied."

Melisandre said, "I didn't lie. I was wrong."

Davos said, "Aye, you were wrong. How many died because you were wrong?" Davos and Melisandre stare at each other in silence.

Davos said to Jon, "I ask your leave to execute or banish this woman for murder. She admits to the crimes."

Jon said to Melisandre, "Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Melisandre said, "I've been ready to die for many years. If the Lord was done with me, so be it, but he's not. You've seen the Night King, Jon Snow. You know the great war is still to come. You know the army of the dead will be upon us soon. And you know I can help you win that war." Jon approaches her.

Jon said, "Ride south today. If you return to the North, I'll have you hanged as a murderer." Melisandre begins to walk away. Davos moves in her way.

Davos said, "If you ever come back this way, I will execute you myself." She moves past Davos and exits.

Jon stands atop the outer wall of Winterfell watching Melisandre ride south on her horse. Sansa appears at his side.

Jon said, "I'm having the lord's chamber prepared for you."

Sansa said, "Mother and Father's room? You should take it."

Jon said, "I'm not a Stark."

Sansa said, "You are to me."

Jon said, "You're the Lady of Winterfell. You deserve it. We're standing here sooner because of you. The battle was coming to an end quicker because the Knights of the Vale rode in. They came because of you. Ramsay said Lord Baelish wanted to sell you to the Boltons if he got you from King's Landing?"

Sansa said, "He did want to."

Jon asked, "And you trust him?"

Sansa said smirking, "Only a fool would trust Littlefinger. I should have told you about him, about the Knights of the Vale. I'm sorry." Jon approaches Sansa.

Jon said, "We need to trust each other. We can't fight a war amongst ourselves. We have so many enemies now." Jon touches Sansa's face and kisses her on the forehead, then turns to walk away.

Sansa said, "Jon." Jon turns back to face Sansa.

Sansa said, "A raven came from the Citadel. A white raven. Winter is here." Jon smiles and looks up at the sky.

Jon said, "Well, Father always promised, didn't he?" Jon leaves. Sansa looks out at the wilderness. Hoping Aldarra gets back soon. She missed her already.

—--

Sansa sits underneath the weirwood tree at Winterfell. Baelish approaches her.

Baelish said, "Forgive me, my lady… if you're at prayer."

Sansa said, "I'm done with all that. I came here every day when I was a girl. I prayed to be somewhere else. Back then I only ever thought about what I wanted, never about what I had." Sansa stands and walks towards Baelish.

Sansa said, "I was a stupid girl."

Baelish said, "You were a child."

Sansa asked, "What do you want?"

Baelish said, "I thought you knew what I wanted long ago."

Sansa said, "I was wrong."

Baelish said, "No, you weren't. Every time I'm faced with a decision, I close my eyes and see the same picture. Whenever I consider an action, I ask myself will this action help to make this picture a reality? Pull it out of my mind and into the world? And I only act if the answer is yes. A picture of me on the Iron Throne… and you by my side." Baelish leans in to kiss Sansa, but Sansa puts her hand on his chest to stop him.

Sansa said, "It's a pretty picture." Sansa walks past Baelish.

Baelish said, "News of this battle will spread quickly through the Seven Kingdoms. I've declared for House Stark for all to hear. I'm sure Lord Tywin Lannister will hear that his wife is here too."

Sansa said, "You've declared for other houses before, Lord Baelish. It's never stopped you from serving yourself. Aldarra can take care of herself."

Baelish said, "The past is gone for good. You can sit here mourning its departure or you can prepare for the future. You, my love, are the future of House Stark. Who should the North rally behind? A trueborn daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark born here at Winterfell or a motherless bastard born in the south?" Sansa leaves and walks away from him.

—--

Aldarra lands at Castle Black on Drogon's back. She gets down, kisses and hugs her dragon thanking him. She tells him she will call for him soon to take her back once she packs up.

Aldarra goes inside Castle Black. She heads straight in to find her baby and friends. She sees Barristan standing outside of a room and smiles giving him a hug. Aldarra asks, "How has it been?"

Barristan still can't get over what a friendly caring person Aldarra is. He said, "All is well. Tyrion, Shae, Shireen and your son will be glad to see you."

Aldarra said, "Good because I hope to return to Winterfell tomorrow on dragons. It only takes four hours to get there or two weeks by horse."

Barristan said chuckling, "I think I'll go by horse with the rest of our soldiers." She patted his shoulder and went inside to see her baby.

—--

On the other side of The Wall, Benjen stares up at The Wall. Bran and Meera wait nearby.

Benjen says, "This is where I leave you."

Meera asked, "You're not coming with us?"

Benjen said, "The Wall is not just ice and stone. Ancient spells were carved into its foundations. Strong magic to protect men from what lies beyond. And while it stands, the dead cannot pass. I cannot pass."

Benjen approaches his horse and lifts Bran off of it. He carries Bran to the foot of a nearby weirwood, then walks back to his horse.

Meera asked, "Where will you go?"

Benjen said, "The great war is coming and I still fight for the living. I'll do what I can… as long as I can." Benjen mounts his horse.

Bran said, "Thank you, Uncle Benjen."

Benjen said, "I wish you both good fortune." Benjen rides away. BRran looks at the weirwood and then starts to crawl towards it. Meera helps him. Bran reaches out to the weirwood but Meera grabs his wrist.

Meera asked, "Are you sure you're ready for this?"

Bran said, "I'm the Three-Eyed Raven now. I have to be ready for this." Bran touches the weirwood tree.

A VISION OF THE PAST - TOWER OF JOY

Ned stands at the base of the Tower of Joy. He hears Lyanna screaming in the Tower and rushes towards the stairs. Bran stands on the ground behind him. Ned turns back as though he hears a noise, but sees nothing. He hurries up the steps. Bran follows. Ned bursts through a door into a bedroom. Lyanna lies in bed. The sheets are soaked with blood. A handmaiden is standing in the corner

Lyanna said, "Ned?"

Ned said, "Lyanna." Ned rushes to Lyanna's side.

Lyanna asked, "Is that you? Is that really you?" Lyanna lifts her hand. Ned takes it.

Lyanna said, "You're not a dream."

Ned said, "No, I'm not a dream. I'm here. Right here."

Lyanna said, "I've missed you, big brother." Ned begins to cry.

Ned said, "I've missed you, too."

Lyanna said, "I want to be brave."

Ned said, "Shh. You are."

Lyanna said, "I'm not." Ned lifts his hand from Lyanna's stomach. His palm is covered in blood.

Lyanna said, "I don't want to die."

Ned said, "You're not going to die." Ned looks at the handmaiden.

Ned said, "Get her some water!"

Lyanna said, "No, no water."

Ned said, "Is there a maester?"

Lyanna said, "Please. Listen to me, Ned." Lyanna whispers in Ned's ear.

Lyanna said, "If Robert finds out, he'll kill him, you know he will. You have to protect him. Promise me, Ned. Promise me." The handmaiden hands Ned the child.

Lyanna said, "Promise me, Ned. Promise me." Ned stares down at the baby. The baby opens its eyes.

A SECOND VISION–

Ten and nine name days old, Rhaegar Targaryen saw a young girl at a festival in Lannisport. Leona Marbrand was walking around looking at the goods on display. He followed her through the crowd. He walked up to her and started seducing her, making her smile and giggle.

They were making love by a fire inside of a room at an Inn nearby.

Leona said, "I am to be married in a sennight. Will I ever see you again?"

Rhaegar Targaryen said, "Probably not. I leave for Dorne in the morning to meet my betrothed. It's been a pleasure knowing you, Leona." He kissed her and left her standing outside of the Inn.

Leona was married one sennight later.

She was walking through a Sept at her wedding to Brixton Blackthorne.

Leona Blackthorne held her newborn baby happily with her husband Brixton Blackthorne sitting on the bed next to her. They both were smiling at Aldarra in her arms.

—--

Aldarra had transported as much as she could to Winterfell by dragons and Barristan brought the rest with the twenty soldiers and their horse's in tow with wagons and provisions for themselves. Tyrion, Shae, the wet nurse, her son and the septa went on the dragon's Tyrion and Aldarra rode and Rhaegal carried their belongings. They had all been settling in.

—--

Later that day, Jon is sitting at a high table in Winterfell's dining hall. Sansa sits beside him. Representatives from Northern houses, the Vale, and the wildlings are gathered in the dining hall. Tormund and Davos sit among the wildlings. Baelish stands off to the side, watching amazed to see Aldarra with a three month old baby sitting at the table. He knew the baby had to be Tywin's.

A Vale knight says, "You can't expect Knights of the Vale to side with wildling invaders."

Tormund said, "We didn't invade. We were invited."

A Vale knight says, "Not by me." Jon stands.

Jon said, "The free folk, the northerners, and the Knights of the Vale at the very end, fought bravely, fought together, and we won. My father used to say we find our true friends on the battlefield."

One of the houses' representatives stood and said, "The Boltons are defeated. The war is over. Winter has come. If the maesters are right, it'll be the coldest one in a thousand years. We should ride home and wait out the coming storms."

Jon said, "The war is not over. And I promise you, friend, the true enemy won't wait out the storm. He brings the storm."

The men began to murmur. Lyanna Mormont stands. Lyanna said, "Your son was butchered at the Red Wedding, Lord Manderly. But you refused the call. You swore allegiance to House Stark. Lord Glover, but in their hour of greatest need, you refused the call. And you, Lord Cerwyn, your father was skinned alive by Ramsay Bolton. Still you refuse the call. But House Mormont remembers. The North remembers. We know no king but the King in the North whose name is Stark. I don't care if he's a bastard. Ned Stark's blood runs through his veins. He's my king from this day until his last day." Aldarra holding her baby with a soft doll making him giggle, sat watching Lyanna with Shireen next to her. She was always amazed at the strength this little girl had.

The men resume murmuring. Lord Manderly stands.

Manderly said, "Lady Mormont speaks harshly and truly. My son died for Robb Stark, the Young Wolf. I didn't think we'd find another king in my lifetime. I didn't commit my men to your cause 'cause I didn't want more Manderlys dying for nothing. But I was wrong. Jon Snow avenged the Red Wedding. He is the White Wolf. The King in the North." Manderly draws his blade, then rests it point-down on the ground and kneels. Lord Glover stands.

Glover said looking at Aldarra, "I did not fight beside you on the field and I will regret that until my dying day. A man can only admit when he was wrong and ask forgiveness."

Jon said, "There's nothing to forgive, my lord."

Glover said, "There will be more fights to come. House Glover will stand behind House Stark as we have for a thousands years. And I will stand behind Jon Snow… the King in the North!"

Glover draws his blade, then rests it point-down on the ground and kneels.

Glover said, "The King in the North!"

Everyone in the hall stands and draws their blades.

ALL shouted, "The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North! The King in the North!" Aldarra jiggled her baby making him laugh to the chants.

Jon stands. Sansa and Baelish look at each other.
