In her rooms, Sansa is sitting at a table reviewing documents. The two guards are in Sansa's room explaining what happened.
The second guard said, "We told her to wait. We were standing right next to her. Sansa sighs.
The first guard said, "When we turned around she had gone, My Lady. She was nothing. Some winter town girl."
The second guard said, "She comes in asking for Ser Rodrick and Maester Llewyn."
The first guard said, "Don't trouble yourself over it, My Lady. We'll find her."
Sansa said, "You don't have to. I know where she is."

In the Winterfell crypts, Arya is standing looking at a statue of Ned Stark holding his sword. Arya hears a sound and turns to see Sansa approaching. Sansa stops when she sees Arya.
Arya said, "Do I have to call you Lady Stark now?" Sansa hesitates for a moment.
Sansa said, "Yes."
Sansa begins smiling then walking towards Arya. Sansa reaches out and hugs Arya.
Sansa said, "You shouldn't have run from the guards."
Arya said, "I didn't run. You need better guards." Sansa smirks at Arya.
Arya said, "It suits you, Lady Stark. Jon left you in charge?"
Sansa said, "He did. I hope he comes back soon from Eastwatch. I remember how happy he was to see me. When he sees you, his heart will probably stop." Both girls turn and look at the statue of Ned Stark.
Arya said, "That doesn't look like him. It should have been carved by someone who knew his face."
Sansa said, "Everyone who knew his face is dead."
Arya said, "We're not." Arya turns to face Sansa.
Arya said, "They say you killed Joffrey. Did you?"
Sansa said, "I wish I had. I was long gone in Essos living with my friends."
Arya said, "Me too, I'd a killed him. I was angry when I heard someone else had done it. However long my list got he was always first."
Sansa said, "Your list?"
Arya said, "Of people I'm going to kill." Sansa begins to laugh. Arya joins her.
Sansa asked, "How did you get back to Winterfell?"
Arya said, "It's a long story. I imagine yours is too."
Sansa said, "Yes. It's not a very pleasant one until I met Aldarra."
Arya said, "Mine neither, but our stories aren't over yet. Who's Aldarra?"
Sansa said, "No, they're not. Aldarra is the most extraordinary woman I have ever met. She was a Blackthorne but forced to marry Tywin Lannister and had a baby boy in White Harbor. She saved me and two other people from King's Landing. We took a ship to Braavos where she got money out of the Iron Bank. She bought a ship, then sailed to Pentos and then the Lorath Bay to Norvos. We lived comfortably for almost a year. Then they put bounties on us so we sailed to White Harbor then to Castle Black. She was taking me to Jon after hearing how mother and Robb died. The three dragons that Daenerys Targaryen had found her one day reading in a wildflower field. She, Jon and Tyrion Lannister can ride them."
Arya said, amazed, "Wow. Where is she now?"
Sansa said, "She had to go to Dragonstone to oversee the mining of dragonglass to bring back. They are filling ships with it to bring back to Winterfell to make weapons. Arya, Bran's home too."
Arya smiles and looks at Sansa. Sansa doesn't smile back. The smile fades from Arya's face.

At Winterfell's weirwood tree, Bran is sitting next to the weirwood tree. Sansa and Arya approach. Bran turns to look at them. Bran begins speaking to Arya.
Bran said, "You came home."
Arya steps forward and throws her arms around Bran. Sansa smiles in the background. Arya lets go and steps back.
Bran said, "I saw you at the crossroads."
Arya said, "You saw me?"
Bran said, "I see quite a lot now."
Sansa said, "Bran has visions."
Bran said, "I thought you might go to King's Landing."
Arya said, "So did I."
Sansa said, "Why would you go back there?"
Bran said, "Tywin Lannister and The Mountain are on her list of names." Arya stares at Bran. Arya turns to look at Sansa.
Sansa said, "Who else is on your list? You should wait on Tywin Lannister, until Aldarra says ok. She is married to him and had his son."
Arya said, "Most of them are dead already."
Bran produces the valyrian dagger that Baelish gave him and unsheathes it.
Arya said, "Where did you get this?"
Bran said, "Littlefinger gave it to me."
Arya said, "Littlefinger, he's here?" Arya turns to look at Sansa.
Sansa said, "He's declared for House Stark." Sansa steps up closer to Bran and speaks to him.
Sansa said, "Why would he give you a dagger?"
Bran said, "He thought I'd want it."
Sansa said, "Why?"
Bran said, "Because it was meant to kill me."
Sansa said, "The cutthroat after your fall?"
Arya asked, "Why would a cutthroat have a valyrian steel dagger?"
Bran said, "Someone very wealthy wanted me dead."
Sansa said, "He's not a generous man. He wouldn't give you anything unless he thought he was getting something back."
Bran said, "It doesn't matter."
Sansa said, "What do you mean it doesn't matter?"
Bran said, "I don't want it." Bran holds the knife out to Arya. Arya looks at Bran.
Arya said, "Are you sure? It's valyrian steel."
Bran said, "It's wasted on a cripple."
Arya looks down at the dagger. She steps forward and takes it from Bran.

At Winterfell's gate, Arya is pushing Bran in his wheelchair and Sansa is next to them. The Stark children are walking back through the gate of Winterfell. Men are milling around doing various jobs. Brienne and Podrick see the Stark children all back at Winterfell together.
Podrick said, "Catelyn Stark would be proud. You kept your vow."
Brienne said, "I did next to nothing."
Podrick said, "You're too hard on yourself, My Lady."
Brienne said, "I'm not a –" She pauses for a moment.
Brienne said, "Thank you, Podrick"

It had been about a fortnight, Aldarra left the baby with Shireen and went outside to find where everyone was working. Davos appears at the bottom of the path.
Davos said, "Aldarra."
Aldarra said, "How is the mining going?
Aldarra descends the stairs and she begins walking with Davos. They walk along the beach until they reach a cave. Davos is waiting for her with a lit torch.
Davos said, "I want you to see it before we start hacking it to bits."
Davos leads Aldarra into the cave. He lights a brazier and illuminates the dragonglass along the walls. He continues walking deeper into the cave.
Davos said, "So this is it, all we'll ever need." Aldarra is looking up at the walls of dragonglass.
Davos said, "There is something else I want to show you, Aldarra."
Davos and Aldarra go to a further chamber in the cave. There are murals painted on the walls of dragonglass. It's incredible.
Davos said, "The Children of the Forest made these."
Aldarra said, completely amazed, "When I wonder?"
Davos said just as astounded, "A very long time ago."
Aldarra said mesmerized, "They were right here standing where we're standing before there were Targaryens or Starks or Lannisters. Maybe even before there were men."
Davos said, "No. There were men."
Aldarra stops looking at the walls and turns to look at Davos. He walks to another wall and begins to examine the murals. The murals depict Children of the Forest and the First Men standing together.
Davos said pointing to the pictures on the wall, "They were here together with the Children and the First Men."
Aldarra said, "Doing what? Fighting each other?"
Davos takes Aldarra by the arm and swings her torch to another part of the wall. There is a mural of the Night King and White Walkers.
Aldarra said, "They fought together against their common enemy. Despite their differences, despite their suspicions, together. We need to do the same if we're going to survive."
Aldarra and Davos look back at the wall with the Night King.
Davos said, "Because the enemy is real. It's always been real."
Aldarra turns to look at Davos.
Aldarra said, "And we can't defeat them without all the armies and the dragons"
Davos said, "No, I don't think we can." Aldarra steps forward closer to Davos.
Aldarra said seriously, "I will fight with you. You are a good man, Ser Davos Seaworth. I will fight for life."
Davos said, looking at her proudly, "I will fight with you too."
Aldarra steps even closer to Davos until they're face to face. She said, "We will both fight for Shireen and my baby."
He kissed her cheek smiling and said, "Yes, I will." He thought of Aldarra like a daughter he never had and was proud to be in her family of friends.
Aldarra smiled and said, "Everyone in Westeros will all have to fight or die. The North chose Jon to lead them. Isn't their survival more important than their pride or who is a king, one would think so, right? I believe Jon is going to have to show physical proof to make them all understand. I'll send him a raven explaining my intent. He will need to capture one of the dead to show as proof of his claim. Sansa told me in a message that he went up to Castle Black."
Davos and Aldarra are walking out of the cave. As they exit a knight is standing on the beach awaiting them. Aldarra begins addressing him.
She said, "How much are we taking in?"
The knight from Manderly said, "We have five ships full, it's not the glass as much as it's getting hay to layer it on. We have bought hay from all the nearby farmers."
Aldarra said, "I'll send a raven to Jon to bring all twenty four wagons I took up to Castle Black to White Harbor. When you get the ships full, send them to White Harbor. They will be offloaded there." Aldarra headed back up to the castle to send her ravens.
—--
Davos is standing on the edge of a cliffs of Dragonstone looking towards the ocean. Drogon roars and flies over him with Aldarra on his back.
—--
A few days later in Dragonstone, Varys and Aldarra are sitting on the stairs of the Throne Room alone. Varys has a sealed raven scroll in his hand tapping it on the stone. Aldarra is drinking a glass of wine having a discussion with Varys. Who had just come to see her.
Varys asked, "How have you been, my dear lady. I hope the information I have been sending you has been helpful all year."
Aldarra said earnestly, "You have been a dear friend to me. I know and will never forget that." She leaned over and nudged him in the shoulder. Varys smiled at her.
Varys said, "You were one of the only people who was true to themselves. No lies, no deception, yet shrewd. You never presented yourself falsely to me. I think that above all impressed me when we first met. I knew I would quickly become fond of you."
Aldarra smiled and said, "You're not like anyone I have ever known either. You walk in the gray areas when others are in black or white. I like the gray area in between, but you have to step carefully there." Varys smiled at her knowing exactly what she meant.
Aldarra said, "I found out why the dragons like me so much."
Varys said, "Why is that?"
Aldarra said, "It would seem my mother Leona Marbrand Blackthorne got pregnant by Rhaegar Targaryen one week before she married Brixton Blackthorne. Rhaegar Targaryen left her to meet Elia for the first time to be betrothed. What do you think of that?"
Varys was shocked looking at her and said, "Your Rhaegar Targaryen's bastard daughter? No wonder I like you so much."
Aldarra said giggling, "It seems so. I wondered why the dragons liked me so much by just flying over me in a field of flowers. I think we need to keep it quiet for now though. Bran and Sansa are the only ones other than you who know." Varys was beside himself in amazement of how much she trusted him in her small circle of people. He was quite fond of her.
Aldarra said looking around the throne room, "I guess the Mad King, my supposed grandfather, sent his pregnant wife and son here. It must have been hard to work around him. It's a shame what they did to that young girl, who was my aunt. I guess she is just another victim of politics."
Varys said, "That's what I used to tell myself about her father. I found the traitors but I wasn't the one burning them alive. I was only a purveyor of information."
Varys reaches over to Aldarra's cup of wine, picks it up and begins to drink from it. He grimaces as he drinks.
Varys said, recalling, "It's what I told myself when I watched them beg for mercy, 'I'm not the one doing it.' As the pitch of their screams rose higher, 'I'm not the one doing it.' When their hair caught fire and the smell of the burning flesh filled the Throne Room, 'I'm not the one doing it.'" Varys drinks again and sets the cup down next to Aldarra. Aldarra picks it up.
Aldarra said, "She was not her father, I'm sure."
Varys said, "And now we will never know." Aldarra looks down at the note in his hand.
Aldarra asked, "Who is that for?"
Varys said, "You."
Aldarra smiled and said, "Did you read it?"
Varys said, "It's a sealed scroll for you. Why would I read it?" Aldarra pauses and drinks from her cup of wine.
Aldarra grinned at him and asked, "What's it say?"
Varys said, smiling at her, "Nothing you don't know, my lady. King's Landing has changed since the Faith, Joffrey and Cersei are no longer there to undermine Tywin Lannister." He hands it to her.
Aldarra reads the scroll. It said that Tywin knows she is there at Dragonstone and wants her to willingly return with Varys to King's Landing or he would send people to forcefully bring her.
Aldarra sighed and said, "I guess it's time to face him. I guess I'll have to tell Davos to take over here. He's been doing a great job. I need to send a few ravens out. Can you wait until tomorrow, my dear friend?"
Varys leaned over and nudged her like she did him. He said, "Of course, my lady, anything for you." She sighed, took a drink from her cup and put her head on his shoulder. He had been a great friend keeping her safe so she could keep the others safe.
