Hey people this is a new Fic not exactly the Zelda fic I was talking about and if you're wondering about the shield hero fic I'm not abandoning it. Fallout 4 has been taking a good chunk of time so my lazy ass forgot about it. This is a Fallout X Starfield crossover but set in the same universe, The reason? Well, you'll just have to read and find out and enjoy the story now onto the story.

War, War never changes. That's what defines most if not all of mankind's history from the ancient Hittites fighting the ancient Egyptians, To the Romans vs the Persians, To the Axis against the Allies. Whether for resources or Ideology, it's always paid with blood. The Chinese desperately trying to get oil, the lifeblood of their economy, invaded The United States. It was a bloody Ten years of war. And tensions were getting worse and many nations saw the writing on the wall Nuclear Annihilation was inevitable.

Many nations in Europe, America, and even the Soviet Union met secretly. While America already has its sights set on a future underground, everyone else looks up to the stars instead of down ground.

2073 ( REDACTED LOCATION)

An American representative Stands up to speak at the meeting table " Ladies and Gentlemen, we are all here to discuss a matter of utmost importance: the end of the world and how we plan to survive it."

A British representative stood up " Well your project safe house seems fine in all I think the stars are much more appealing although more costly. There'll be so many untapped resources and with the United States Robotic industry manpower won't be a problem." Many nations agreed to the dismay of the American representative.

A Russian voice spoke up " Yes there are many dangerous things robots can do that we can't, like mining without air, food, and water. Radiation won't be a problem either." The pressure was mounting on the American representative; he was supposed to convince them to abandon space so there wouldn't be any competition. But Robert House caught wind of this and he knew the stakes were too high and he wanted the stars. He knew Earth was a lost cause so he went behind America's back to get everyone to agree on space.

The American Representative sighed " Very well We have some outposts on the Moon and Mars. Those will be jumping points to colonize space Robco can help with the manpower issue. We'll need to enact breeding programs to prevent inbreeding."

And so the course of history was changed by many nations putting what little time and resources they had into a great gamble for the stars Mars would be the first target. With only four years the nation's industries are in full gear or what was left after the resource wars. China was very concerned with the amount of rockets leaving Earth but upon realizing there were no nukes they went back to focus on the war.

2075 (Pittsburgh)

The foundry furnaces were on full blast and many of the workers were tired but content to still have jobs. Prices were out of control so having a steady job in this economy was a godsend. The managers were just confused about the sudden increase in steel. Sure steel was needed for the war effort but this was crazy how much steel was needed. William scratched his head "What are they trying to build an entire fleet of ships?" The head manager shook his head. " I don't know if the high-ups refuse to say anything, all I know is that it's needed for a very large project." Both of them looked at the papers that required such a large quota at least they're getting a large payday.

2076 (C.I.T)

Many scientists were frustrated you could only make a vacuum tube so small before it became impossible. Thankfully they finally broke the technological barrier by just ditching the tubes for the transistors they were able to make smaller and better computers and robots had better CPUs making do tasks they weren't able to do before. Why were they doing this? Because the government gave them a huge research fund to get better and smaller CPUs for space travel and if they finished it before the end of the year they were promised a position in the new colonies. Sure transistors have existed for over ten years but many scientists were stubborn about changing to a new technology until they gave up. They were able to shrink a terminal to the size of a Large lunchbox being able to also flatten the screen as well. They called it a laptop and they could carry it in a backpack and store much more information. Many more new technologies and better pip-boys were made, space is unforgiving so they had to be the best of the best.

2078 ( Cydonia, Mars)

Dr. Mathews was angry he was lied to, those bastards knew the great war was going to happen he was lucky to be on Mars when it happened. Right now he's researching FTL travel with his colleagues so far it's slow-going. There has been a gravitational anomaly that's been interfering with some of the communications arrays making the project more difficult since we need those arrays to communicate with the robots for mine and resources. He only hoped that these problems were temporary or they would have bigger things to worry about.

Machines have been working nonstop mining out Mars's underground making room for new living areas and facilities for the personnel. Thankfully power hasn't been a concern as fusion cores have been more than enough to keep the lights running and there's plenty of Helium-3 on the moon so fuel isn't a concern. Although my colleagues have been wanting to rename the moon to Luna I don't have any feelings either way. They've already called the sun Sol for the past two years so why not? At least there's no shortage of iron on this planet. Water hasn't been a problem either; the ice caps really makes the difference. It's going to be a rocky road. I'm keeping my mouth shut. I don't want to risk the security personnel cracking down on us although death isn't an option, we're too valuable, and just enough people to prevent inbreeding.

I sighed and looked out the window at Sol as it set in the Martian sky the dim blue dot of earth devastated by mankind and they did nothing about it. It's time to rest. I'll focus on the project tomorrow.

AN: I think I like this chapter sets up what's to come in the future. Until next time children Lone Ranger out.
