The Yureimotos were an interesting family to say the least. That could be expected, as they were yokai, Japanese spirits that hid from the modern world, although their parents all promised to one day cause mayham and destruction towards the foolish humans who pushed them back!

Honestly, the second generation didn't really care that much for that ambition, but they still trained and did all the could to help their village and each other.

Well, most of them. The prodigal daughter Emiko had run away years ago and caused quite a ruckus wherever she went.

Now, she was back for a visit with her daughter Erma and her husband Sam Williams. Her HUMAN husband.

There had been plenty of bumps, ups and downs, but despite it all, the visit was going relatively smoothly…although Emiko now had FURTHER reason to make sure her Erma NEVER got close to her parents...

Erma had even, in the short time she was there, helped mend a few of the wounds in the family. So, suffice to say, her aunts, uncle(s) and cousins were elated to still have some time with her.

ERMA

It all began when the family was having breakfast together.

This time, Rin and Mayumi, the respectively most reclusicve and the youngest, had both opted to join them. Mitsu and Momo had also been a bit more well-behaved lately, especially after that incident with the three punks that attacked them and Erma., who was sitting comfortably in her father's arms and sneaking bites of the edamame when he wasn't looking.

"Hey guys, guess what's coming up!" Ena excitedly said as she held up a poster for her siblings to see.

NIGHT PARADE SUMO TOURNAMENT

ACCEPTING ANY AND ALL FIGHTERS!

"Ena, why are you showing us this?" Fumiko asked, bored and honestly just wanting to squeeze in some time with Haru before their parents came back from…whatever it was they were doing.

"Oh, no way! I've participated in that a few times!" Kentaro grinned. "Man, that's always so much fun!"

"You do have the girth for it." Rin sarcastically commented but her brother took it in stride.

"Was there any other reason you showed us this, sis?" Emiko asked as Erma made her way over to try and sneak a bite of whatever her mother was eating.

"Well, you know how much fun Kentaro has at those tournaments, even if he doesn't win," Ena explained. "We've seen him give it his all in the past and I was thinking...what if we enlisted?"

The one sound that could be heard was Erma's cute little chewing.

….

"What?!" Fumiko snapped. "Of all the ridiculous things you've come up with…!"

"I agree," Rin added. "After all, do you even see someone with a body like mine as a sumo wrestler?"

"I dunno, I think that sounds like a great idea!" Kentaro beamed. "Besides, we haven't done anything as a whole family since Emiko first left and now we're finally back together again!"

Emiko couldn't help but nod in agreement as she looked to Erma. With just her charm and kind heart, her daughter had managed to help Rin and Mayumi open back up to the rest of their family.

"I'm inclined to agree. This sounds like it could be interesting." Sam smiled.

"Samuel Williams..." Emiko said, giving her husband a look. "I can see that look in your eyes. This is another one of your story ploys, isn't it?"

"No, dear. Not at all." Sam said, but that devious smile was still on his face.

"Still, Ena and Kentaro make a good point. We're back together again and we don't have Dad breathing down our necks. Might as well give it a shot." Yori shrugged.

"Of all the..." Fumiko groaned. "Alright, I guess I can't stop any of you...I'll join as well."

"I'm going to regret this, aren't I?" Rin asked herself with a sigh.

Mayumi meanwhile, looked down at her feet: She was the youngest after all, and her siblings were, to put it frankly, FREAKISHLY strong, even for Yokai. Did she really have a chance?

Besides, Erma, Momo and Mitsu were here and she wanted to spend some time with her nieces.

"Oh, don't worry, May-May!" Yori smiled, patting her baby sister's shoulder. "No one really cares about winning or losing."

"Grandpa does." Her daughters noted.

"Well, he and grandma aren't here." Emiko smirked, already starting to think of going along with this just to spite the two.

"Just give it a try, Mayumi." Ena said to her sister, "You'll never know if you never try."

And with that, Mayumi's mind was made up: She'd try at least!

"So...you guys are gonna fatten yourselves up into tubs of lard or something?" Mitsu asked.

"Hehehehe..." Momo snickered. "Maybe this way, we can reenact Garfield with you guys or something."

Erma tilted her head in confusion as Emiko smiled and patted her daughter on the head while Yori rolled her eyes at the twins' wording.

"You two gremlins are gonna act productive while we're doing this. As your mother, I'm appointing you as referees along with Erma."

That certainly got Erma excited as she threw her hands up into the air while Mitsu and Momo pouted but didn't seem to openly complain about it.

"Sam, you and Haru can also act as coaches," Fumiko said to her sister's husband and her Kappa fiance. "We'll need somebody to help reel us in."

"That's the spirit, sis!" Kentaro laughed, patting his younger sister on the back. "This'll be a tournament to remember!"

"Alright!" Ena cheered. "Let's do this thing!"

"But how will you all get fat?" Mitsu asked. "I mean, Uncle Kentaro's got the build of a wrestler already..."

"I think I might be able to help..." Fumiko sighed. "I'll have the cooks prepare a banquet for us. I'm sure Mother left some of her spells around somewhere."

"Want me to help you find them?" Emiko asked.

"You gonna be okay with this, Mayumi?" Yori asked her little sister, who shakily nodded her head.

"Well, let's get this show on the road..." Haru gulped nervously as he looked to Sam, who just smiled.

"Something tells me things are gonna get a lot more interesting."

Erma, who'd snuck out for a drink of water, smiled.

ERMA

Mei, Kiko, and Tohru, the Yokai Punk Trio, were licking their wounds after their encounter with Erma, Mitsu, and Momo.

To think that three half-breed toddlers were already strong enough to give them trouble!

That was when they saw the poster being put up.

NIGHT PARADE SUMO TOURNAMENT

ACCEPTING ANY AND ALL FIGHTERS!

And that's when Mei and Kiku got an idea.

"Looks like we're going hunting early." Kiku smirked.

"Or have those bakers and chefds pay us back." Mei smiled evilly.

"Alright, you guys knock yourselves out..." Tohru grumbled, but after LAST year he had no interest in taking part. "I'll root for you, I guess."

"That's all we ask, hun." Mei grinned.

ERMA

It had been a risk to do this, but for her beloved Rin? Akari would take that risk.

She currently had Yuyu the Maid lifted up to her by a spider-thread, and eyeing her to go along with what she'd just said.

"…Partake in the tournament? Me?!" Yuyu gasped. "I'd be slaughtered!"

"Maybe, or…" Akari smiled, dreaming of facing Rin in combat; win or lose it didn't matter, if they clashed… "And come on…Osamu and Amaya ain't here! We can do WHATEVER…"

…That did sound tempting, Yuyu.

"I'll...speak with Lady Fumiko about this..."

"You do that, I won't stop you."

As Yuyu headed off, Akari noticed one of her little spiders crawling up to her and picked it up with her finger. She listened to what it had to say and hummed.

"So, those punks are joining in too, huh? Well...looks like this is gonna be fun~"

Knightmare Lord A/N:

This is a fun little mini story made by me and Mrotrax. We might add some references to Hinomaru Sumo, so look forward to that...though Mrotrax knows about it more than me.
