"Hello. My name is Akira Uchiha. And this is the start of my story."
During a warm sunny morning, everything had seemed peaceful within Konohagakure. There were no wars, no conflict within Konoha and Hiruzen Sarutobi was the current Hokage.
A Seven-year-old Uchiha boy with pale skin, a pair of black pupils and short black unkempt hair... was walking in the streets of the Uchiha Clan's compound. He was wearing dark blue shorts, a black long-sleeved, high-collared sweatshirt with the Uchiha crest on the back of his black sweatshirt. And a pair of dark blue Shinobi shoes.
Akira had happily seen many people-his fellow Uchiha Clansmen roaming through the streets and opening shops to start their line of business.
Akira had waved at some people and some had waved back.
"As a member of the Uchiha Clan, I do take great pride in being part of the Clan."
Later That Day...
Akira Uchiha had arrived at the Konoha Academy where children would learn to become Shinobi. Within its halls, Akira had met up with a certain someone...
"Hey, Minato!"
Minato Namikaze was walking through the Academy halls and was stopped when he heard a voice echoing from behind. He quickly turned around to see Akira walking toward him.
"Oh, hey. Akira." Minato had kindly smiled and waved.
"How have you been, Minato?" Akira had asked.
"I'm doing okay." Minato had replied.
"That's great to know." Akira smiled.
"This is Minato. He's a childhood friend of mine-outside of the Uchiha Clan. I've known and played with other kids within my Clan, but Minato was the first person that I had befriended outside of the Clan."
"Hey, Akira. Have you heard the news?" Minato asked.
"The news? What's happening?" Akira had asked as he raised his left eyebrow.
"We're going to have an exchange student, tomorrow." Minato had informed Akira.
Akira's eyes had widened surprisingly. "Really? From where?"
"I honestly don't know the details, myself. But I did hear that this new exchange student might be a girl."
"A girl..." Akira had stared at Minato. 'I wonder, what this girl might look like? And I wonder if she's nice, too?' Akira had then imagined what the exchange student-possibly girl, look like.
After a moment of staring, Minato decided to break the silence and speak to Akira. "Well, class is about to start soon, so-we must get going." Minato had chuckled.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Right." Akira had quickly nodded his head.
Later That Afternoon...
After a long day at the Academy, Akira Uchiha had returned to his home. Which is an apartment for a small family in the Uchiha district.
"I am home, mom!" Akira said after entering his home. He had removed his shoes and placed them next to the front door.
Suddenly, a woman, whom had stood at five feet and two inches had slowly approached Akira. She had fair skin for women, short and smooth neck-length black hair, a pair of black pupils and bright pink lipstick. She had worn a long-sleeved red sweater with an Uchiha crest on the back of it. She also wore a silky black skirt that reaches pass her knees and shin.
"This is my mom. Her name is Azumi Uchiha. But, she wants me to call her mom. I live with only my mom in a two-bedroom apartment. One room is for my mom. And the other room is for me."
"I have already made supper. Tonight, we're having Pork Katsu Curry." Azumi had told Akira.
Akira had gasped in a happy tone. "Curry!" Sparkles had appeared around Akira's eyes.
"Curry is one of my favorite foods."
"Just remember to wash up, first." Azumi had giggled and waved her right index finger side-to-side.
"Okay. Thanks, mom!" Akira had hugged his mother, first. Then, ran toward a nearby bathroom.
Azumi had smiled after watching him close the bathroom door, behind him.
A Few Minutes Later...
"Itakadimasu!" Both Akira and his mother had prayed to the gods for blessing their supper. They had sat at the family table in front of bowls filled with Pork Katsu Curry. They had chopsticks.
"How was the Academy today, Akira?" Azumi had asked Akira.
"It was good. But, the same as always. Math, Science, Social Studies, Shuriken practice." Akira had said while counting his fingers.
"Oh, I see."
"And... I heard from one of my friends that there is going to be an exchange student, tomorrow." Akira said.
"Oh? An exchange student?" Azumi had asked before she could take a bite of pork.
"Um... yes. I heard rumors that it was going to be a girl, but I don't know any details about that person." Akira had said.
Azumi had suddenly glanced at Akira for a split second. "A girl, huh?"
"Mm-hmm." Akira said after taking a bite of the potatoes.
"My, my... sounds like you might find a new girlfriend, tomorrow." Azumi had smiled and teased Akira.
Akira had flinched. "M-mom!" He begun to blush, heavily. It's not like that! I haven't even met her yet!"
Azumi had laughed. I know. I'm only teasing."
Later That Night...
Akira Uchiha had slept in a single individual kid's bed. He had slept sound asleep in his individual bedroom. The sky outside was dark and the moon had was crescent.
"All night, I couldn't help but think of this foreign exchange student. I was hoping to get along with this person real well."
The Next Day...
"Until tomorrow actually came..."
Akira Uchiha had sat in a seat within a classroom inside of the Konoha Academy. His childhood friend, Minato Namikaze was present in the room as he sat in a different row. In front of all the kids who were sitting down was their sensei. He had introduced a red-haired girl from the Uzushiogakure. She had long red hair and a short yellow dress.
Like many kids, Akira had glued his eyes on the adolescent girl.
"Alright, we have an exchange student joining our academy, today." The Konoha Academy Sensei had said.
"My name is Kushina Uzumaki, you know!" Kushina had yelled, nervously. "Mmph!" She had muffled quickly covered her mouth.
Akira had continued staring at Kushina after hearing her introduce herself. 'Kushina Uzumaki...'
"This was the first time that I've ever met someone outside of Konoha-let alone a girl with red hair. And I gotta say..."
Akira had suddenly opened his mouth.
One of the boys in the classroom had begun to poke fun atKushina. He sat next to Minato. "Do you see the color of her red hair?
"Yeah! It looks gross!" Another boy had said as he
"Definitely!"
"I mean, who would ever want hair like that?"
A group of kids had begun to taunt Kushina and her red hair.
Kushina touched the tip of her red hair after listening to their taunts.
"Okay, that's enough! Pipe down, kids." The Konoha Academy Sensei yelled.
The kids had kept laughing and laughing.
Akira had frowned as he saw Kushina and heard the taunts his classmates were giving. He kind of felt bad for her and he did not join the "bully the new kid" bandwagon.
"I felt sorry for her, then. I really wanted to speak out. But then..."
Kushina had clinched her fists, tightly. "I..." She hesitated for a second. "I'm going to become the first female Hokage of Konohagakure!" Kushina had yelled, which silenced the entire classroom.
The classroom had remained silent, until Minato had stood from his seat. "That's great. I want to become Hokage, also! Especially one that the whole village respects."
Kushina had stared at Minato.
"I was surprised that she wanted to become the first female Hokage. Even I never thought of becoming Hokage, sine I am an Uchiha. Things had died for a few minutes, until the class had gotten to know Kushina a bit."
The boys in the classroom had cornered Kushina Uzumaki by the chalkboard and begun taunting her, once more.
"Hey, Tomato!"
"Yeah! Your nickname will be tomato!"
"Yeah, with that colored hair and that chubby round face, you look just like one!"
"I always pick tomatoes out of my salad!"
"No red tomato that everybody hates will ever become Hokage!"
The group boys had continued laughing at Kushina and making fun of her red hair. "Tomato! Tomato!"
Kushina had looked to Minato who sat at one of the desks and just stared at her. She gasped as she realized he wasn't going to verbally defend her. She had closed her eyes as he face had suddenly turned pink.
Akira was sitting at a different desk as well. He frowned at the situation of seeing Kushina bullied by his classmates. His head was lowered and his right fist was pressed hard into desk.
"I hated to see that one of my new classmates-especially, a girl being bullied on how they look. So, then..."
Akira had inhaled air, then exhaled.
"I decided to plant my feet into the ground and act."
Akira had then ejected himself from his desk and walked to the group of boys that were bullying Kushina by a chalkboard. As the boys kept laughing at Kushina...
One of the boys had saw Kushina's face turn pink. "Aw, look! She's turning red like a tom-"
"Stop it, you guys!"
Kushina had gasped as she had looked forward and saw Akira Uchiha for the first time.
"Eh?" The group of boys had looked to see their classmate, Akira.
"What do you want, Akira?"
'Akira?' Kushina had thought as she stared at Akira.
"You all shouldn't be making fun of people that you just met. How would you feel if any of you were in her shoes?" Akira asked.
Kushina had gasped, surprisingly.
"Nobody asked for your opinion, Akira."
"Yeah. Go back to digging your head into those stupid textbooks, bookworm."
"It's true. I am a bookworm. I do like books. I don't really like to pick fights with others. But this was the only..."
Akira had frowned at his classmates. "Look. I'm not trying to pick fights, but I'm not just going to stand by and listen to you about talk how bad her pretty hair is." Akira told one of the boys.
Kushina had gasped after hearing Akira's speech.
"Aw, what? You like round tomatoes, now?"
"Why don't you do something about it, Akira?"
"Yeah. Try and save your new tomato girlfriend." One of the boys had shoved Akira backwards. With the intentions of pushing him and making him fall down the stairs.
Akira had almost lost his balance as he had taken a step back on a step. He arched his back so he wouldn't fall over.
"Do something, tough guy."
"Leave him alone!" Kushina yelled.
The group of boys had then looked to Kushina Uzumaki, whom seemed a bit mad.
"Aw, look. The tomato is finally stepping up for his Uchiha bookworm." One of the boys had taunted both Kushina and Akira at once.
"Look. I don't know what an Uchiha is... but what I do know is that anyone who disrespects those that compliment my red hair is as good as dead!" Kushina had jumped forward and attacked one of the bullies.
Half A Minute Later...
The group of bullies that had bullied Kushina were on the ground beaten to a pulp by Kushina. They had bruises on their faces and heads and seemed to be knocked out.
The other classmates who watched and didn't do anything about it were just left speechless.
"I was surprised by her inner strength. She beat all the boys that were picking on her in less than a minute. She was shy, one minute. Then, she was angry, the next."
Kushina had sighed and stood in front of Akira Uchiha. "Now, that's outta the way. Did you really meant what you said, earlier?"
Akira had blinked, twice. "S-said what?"
"That my red hair was pretty?" Kushina had asked.
Akira had silently gasped as he was surprised she remembered.
"That's right. I did say that her hair was pretty when she was getting bullied other boys. Well, all I can do is own up to it."
Akira had happily nodded. "Yes. I did."
Kushina had openly blushed in front of him. She quickly extended her right arm out toward him. "K-Kushina Uzumaki!"
Akira saw Kushina's hand and had grasped it with his own right hand. "Akira Uchiha. Please to meet you." He then gave her a happy smile.
"That's how I met the new exchange student. Kushina Uzumaki. After that, well... I'll tell you in the future."
