And once again she failed. Once again she has failed, and now everything will have to start again. Once again, Homura Akemi failed her goal.

Her goals seemed clear: to stop Madoka from becoming a magical girl and to stop Walpurgisnacht. But something kept going wrong. Madoka becomes a magical girl and either dies in the final battle or she uses up all her magic and turns into a Witch. And it's happened more than once, but... she forgot. She didn't even remember how many times she had lived that month. But she couldn't give up. So she started going back again. And again, her mind was shrouded in darkness.

She easily got up from the bed and began to put her clothes back on. It was nothing new. It wasn't the first time she'd done the same thing – it had been memorized and repeated dozens, perhaps hundreds of times. After packing up her things and signing the discharge papers, Homura went home to start planning again, checking on the location of the Witches and steal weapons once again.

«How much longer can I go on like this? How many more times will I fail until I finally break? None of the weapons I've ever used have dealt serious damage.»

But all her thoughts disappeared when she saw the strange butterfly. She had seen butterflies that were familiars before, but this one was different from all of them because of its golden glow. There was an unusual light coming from her that the ones she had seen earlier didn't have. She tried to remember if this had happened before. But none of this has ever happened before. Perhaps it was a new change in this timeline.

The insect flew between people, hovering slightly in place when Homura stopped. She decided to chase the insect, hoping to figure out what this creature is. But as she turned a corner, she bumped with someone and hit the asphalt painfully.

– Oh, I'm sorry! Can I help you?

Homura looked up to see who she had bumped into. The guy she encountered had gray haircut into a potty cut and was wearing dark-brown clothes. He held out his hand, hoping to help her stand up.

Homura get back to her feet and dusted off her clothes.

– It's all right. This won't be necessary.

After giving such a short answer, she walked past the puzzled guy, continuing her pursuit of the butterfly. But the search was quickly abandoned when she realized that she had already lost sight of the butterfly.

«Damn it, I missed it! But what could it possibly mean? Maybe I should forget about it. I have better things to do.»

Homura decided to head back home, since she had a lot of work to do and didn't have time to worry about meaningless things. And she couldn't realize that from this moment on, she finally had a chance to end her endless torment.
