Okay, what's this story all about, you might be asking. Well, you might have noticed that many Cat games have been coming out, and there's one that stuck out to me the most. Umbraclaw. And to clear up any confusion, I'm not talking about the creatures from War of Warcraft. Umberclaw is about a house cat named Kuon, who passes away and finds herself (the game also mistakes her for a he as well) in a place called the Soulplane. As Kuon, you must travel through eight different levels to find the keys to unlock the gate back to the real world. The game also plays on the fact that Cats have Nine Lives, so each death gives you a new power to help you survive. However, you must be careful, on your fifth death, you will gain a human soul, transforming Kuon from a normal cat to a humanoid version of herself. While it is stronger and can deal with many of the enemies, you will lose some abilities that you had as a normal cat.

This story is playing a bit of the idea. Only everything that happens in the game does take place in the real world. If you have seen or played the game, you might have an idea of what's going on. If you haven't, then see if you look it up or play the Demo on your Switch, PS4, PS5, XBOX, XBOX SERIES X/S, and Stream. And if this wasn't enough, the game is also getting a special crossover near the end of June with Azure Striker Gunvolt 3. And it's free!

Death. It's well-known among many creatures. No matter what, it can never be avoided. But what would happen if those who died got a second chance? But what would the second chances be like for those who were never born as human? This is a story about a house named Kuon, who was given a second chance at life after her death. But not in the way she would think.

A being sits on top of a rooftop, looking over the town. She was lost on what happened to her. She recalls passing away in her owner's arms and...nothing but coldness after that. When she awoke she looked very different from her old self. She knew she was once a normal cat. She carried some features from it But she also noticed that she looked human as well. One of her ears twitched and she heard a familiar voice.

"Another day..."

A girl exited her home, looking very sad. Her name is Tsukumo, and she was her owner.

"Kuon..." The girl said, walking away.

'Kuon...that's my name.' The being said, looking at her new claw.

Kuon could remember a bit about herself and the girl she was watching. She knew that she was the source of Tsukumo's happiness since she was a kitten. But her memories were fuzzier than her fur. She also notices that her clothes match the girl's, though with different colors. Kuon looked down and saw her owner walking down the street, looking as gloomy as ever. She then started to run across the rooftops, making sure that her owner didn't get into any trouble.

Later,

Tsukumo sighed as she walked through the town. It's been three days since she lost her house cat and best friend, Kuon. She was the only thing in her life that made her happy. She understood that death came to everyone and she was sure that Kuon would die before her, but she wasn't ready for it. She did try to remember the happy times in her life with her cat, but it caused her to miss Kuon even more.

Tsukumo continues walking not noticing three boys watching her. They nodded and followed after her. She had no idea she was being followed until one of the boys stepped up to her.

"Hey there, Tsu!"

She felt an arm around her shoulder before looking up to see the boy.

"Marcus? What do you want?" She asked.

"Just noticing how down you've been these past few days. Is something wrong?" He asked.

Tsukumo looked at him, wondering what he was trying to do now.

"Please tell me this isn't another plan for you to try and date me." She asked.

"Whoa, whoa! Chill! I would never do that! I'm just worried about you." Marcus said.

Tsukumo rolled her eyes. She removed his arm before taking a few steps back.

"I lost my pet cat, okay? I just want to be alone." She told him.

"A cat?" Marcus asked, surprised.

"Yes. She made me very happy. Happier than you could. So please, leave me alone." Tsukumo said, turning away.

Marcus looked at her before sighing. He notices his friends walking up and shaking their heads.

"Don't give me that! I tried, alright?" He told them.

"AH!"

The boys turned around and saw a group of thugs grabbing Tsukumo and pulling her into a van.

"Tsukumo!" Marcus shouted, seeing the van drive away.

The other boys started to call the cops, not seeing something running across the rooftops.

Kuon was angry. She knew that the three boys were harmless, recalling a bit about the boy who spoke to her owner. But when those other men grabbed her owner, it caused a wave of anger to flare up inside her. She followed the van with ease before jumping on the roof.

"What was that?"

She hears the side door open and notices one of the humans peeking out. She reached down and grabbed the man by the shirt, pulling up as he screamed. Kuon hisses at the man before tossing him away from the van. She then uses her bigger claw to dig into the van as she swings inside the van, shocking the rest of the people. Kuon spotted Tsuskmo tied up in the corner before noticing one of the men pulling out a gun. She moved too fast for him before smacking the gun away. She then slashes her claw and knocks the man away. The others turned to rush her but Kuon ready one of her powers.

She uses her anteater power which gives her the power to freeze time. While it was odd that different animals gave her powers, Kuon had learned to stop questioning them. She turned and picked up her owner, who was also frozen in time. She then looks back at the humans before jumping out of the van. With the power still activated, she quickly slashed one of the ties before running away.

Time restarted and the van went out of control before crashing into a light post. Kuon carried her owner to an alley before setting her down. Tsuskmo could hardly believe what she was seeing. This creature appeared from nowhere and saved her. She watched as the creature used its smaller claw to cut the ropes off her. She removed the gag before staring at the creature.

"What are you?" She asked.

Kuon looked at her, seeing that she didn't recognize her. It made her a bit sad, but Kuon just looked at her. She knew she could speak now, but she wasn't sure what to say.

"...Meow." She said before jumping up the building wall and disappearing.

Tsuskmo watches the creature leave, leaving her confused. After a bit, she heard the police and walked out of the alley. She was still unsure of what she saw and didn't think that anyone would believe her. She was taken back home, not knowing she was being watched once more.

Short, but this is the intro. And since is this one of my Non-Danny Phantom stories and it's not an OC Story, I checked under the game list and Umbraclaw is not marked in the list, I strongly believe that I'll barely get anything from my fans. I wrote this because I wanted to write something and didn't have any ideas for my other stories. I explain most of what the game is at the top, but sometimes it's better to play the game yourself.

There's still more to come, but don't expect anything anytime soon. Again, I wrote this because I wanted too, and there's a very high chance that I'll barely get anything from you guys/girls.
