Idri wandered through the market stands studying the wares available. Fragrant melons, some precious gems, cultural clothes, nothing Idri was too interested in. As she browsed, she kept Pire in her sight. Though she never went very far anyway. Sooga was patient, but she would prefer not to keep him waiting. Idri had to come up with some plan to get that machine away from Pire or get her to join the clan. Preferably the latter.

"I feel bad leaving Sooga outside," Pire said as she quietly laughed.

"He'll be fine. This isn't our first visit to Gerudo City so he knows the rules."Idri said, waving a hand. Pire turned to the entrance gate and slanted her mouth. Idri stepped away from her, looking into the jewelry store. Her first stop every time she visited. Might as well shop a little while she waited for a good opportunity to strike.

Gerudo jewelry was quite the treasure. Extremely well made and somehow magical. Idri graced her fingers over the sapphire necklaces and diamond circlets. She had always envied the craftsmanship of the intricate accessories. Gentle gems wrapped in gold wire, silver chains, and ornate pendants. She always wanted one, but they were far too expensive and the store was too small to effectively snatch one. Idri sighed and pursed her lips.

She left soon after, hoping not to raise any suspicion. Though, she wasn't doing anything wrong. Everything was an act to avoid being watched whether necessary or not. The life of a spy, she supposed. Pire was still in the bazaar. Restocking on food and buying every bundle of arrows they had available. Idri was puzzled for a moment, but put it aside and tapped Pire's arm.

"Hey, I'm gonna hit the bar, coming along?" She asked, jamming a thumb in the direction of the building.

"Sure. I think I got everything I could here."

"Cool, c'mon. It's this way." Idri led her to the tucked-away bar.

"Are you alright, Idri?" Pire asked, walking beside her. She paused and nodded.

"I'm fine." She answered simply. They entered the lively place and sat at the counter, the only place open as there was a large party of Gerudo women gossiping in the lounge-like area. Pire studied the selection quietly while Idri stayed inside her head. So many things to sort through. Though she loved seeing the city, she couldn't help her spirits dropping.

"Well, look who it is."

Idri stiffened and carefully turned to the source of the voice. The Gerudo guard sat beside her and rested her spear against the wall. Pire glanced over at her, curious but silent. Idri's heart hastened.

"I haven't seen you in a long time." She smiled.

"Yeah, too long," Idri muttered, returning a small smile.

"You brought a friend this time?" The guard nodded to Pire. Idri scooted the stool back to let them easily see each other.

"Just a traveling companion really," Pire said, trying to decipher the change in atmosphere, "I'm Pire. You are?"

"Smaude. Just traveling, hm? It's good to go in groups."

"Mhm, and we happened to both be heading here. So we teamed up." Pire explained. Idri folded her arms on the counter and hunched over. She was hoping if she saw Smaude she'd be alone. She begged lord Ganon not to give her the wrong idea. She moved lower and lower out of their sight, panic rising inside. Her head hit the counter.

"You don't mind if I join you two, right?" Smaude asked, ordering a drink. Pire couldn't help but giggle at Idri's obviousness.

"Of course not, but I think I see some friends so I'll take my drink to the lounge." She said, standing and taking her glass with her as she left. Idri and Smaude watched her go. Both breathed sighs of relief and turned to each other. She wasn't sure how long they'd have alone. Both work on very opposite sides. Finding the right words took longer than she thought it would. They end up drinking in silence. A few glasses go by before Smaude finally lifts her head.

"Are you staying overnight?" She asked. Idri mulled it over for a moment. Staying by her target was a top priority. She'd have to convince Pire to remain in town.

"Yeah. Only for tonight, though." She said quickly before she could remind herself of her responsibilities.

"Well… I know the inn fills up quickly with all the travelers around here. You're free to stay at my place. If there are no beds available." Smaude said as she pushed the empty glass aside. Idri nodded, smiling faintly.

"I'll let you know." She agreed, taking a bag of rupees from her belt. Smaude did the same. They both paid for their own drinks and stood from the bar. Smaude hugged Idri tight. It lingered for a bit longer before she finally pulled away and headed back to her post. Idri felt warm in her cheeks. Her heart was fluttering. Smaude never failed to have that effect on her. She glanced into the lounge and noticed Pire was missing. The giddiness in her failed.

"Oh, dammit…"
