The night was thick with tension as Alex, Buffy, Giles, Willow, and Xander prepared to face the new demonic threat. They gathered in the library, armed with stakes, holy water, and an array of ancient texts Giles had hastily pulled from the shelves.

"This demon," Buffy said, pacing back and forth, "it's different. Stronger. We need a solid plan."

Giles nodded, his face etched with concern. "From what I've read, this creature feeds on fear, growing stronger with each terrified soul it encounters."

Willow looked up from her laptop, her eyes wide. "It's already taken out a few people. We need to act fast."

Alex stood quietly, absorbing the information. He knew he had to be careful with how he used his knowledge and abilities. Tonight might be the night to reveal a bit more about himself, but only if absolutely necessary.

As they made their way to the warehouse district, where the demon had last been spotted, Alex felt a strange tingling sensation in his hands. It was a familiar feeling, one he'd experienced before. He had always been able to tap into a small reservoir of magical energy, but he rarely used it. Tonight, he might not have a choice.

The warehouse was dark and foreboding, the perfect lair for a creature of the night. Buffy took the lead, her senses on high alert. The rest of the group followed closely, their weapons at the ready.

As they entered the warehouse, a chilling laugh echoed through the darkness. The demon emerged from the shadows, a towering figure with eyes that glowed a sickly green. Its presence was suffocating, the air thick with fear.

"Well, well," the demon hissed, its voice like nails on a chalkboard. "What do we have here? A Slayer and her little friends. How delightful."

Buffy didn't waste any time. She lunged at the demon, her stake aimed for its heart. But the creature was fast, sidestepping her attack with ease. It swung its massive arm, knocking Buffy to the ground with a force that made Alex wince.

"Buffy!" Xander shouted, rushing to her side.

Willow and Giles began chanting a protective spell, their voices steady despite the growing fear. Alex watched, his mind racing. He knew this demon was unlike anything they had faced before. It fed on their fear, growing stronger with each passing moment.

The demon advanced on Buffy, its eyes gleaming with malevolent glee. Alex felt the tingling in his hands intensify. He couldn't stand by any longer. With a deep breath, he stepped forward, his fingers crackling with barely visible arcs of blue energy.

"Hey, ugly," Alex called out, drawing the demon's attention. "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?"

The demon paused, its eyes narrowing. "And who might you be?"

Alex didn't answer. Instead, he raised his hands, focusing the energy into a concentrated blast. A bolt of blue lightning shot from his fingertips, striking the demon square in the chest. The creature roared in pain, stumbling backward.

Buffy took advantage of the distraction, scrambling to her feet and launching another attack. This time, her stake found its mark, plunging into the demon's heart. The creature let out one final, agonized scream before collapsing into a pile of ash.

Silence fell over the warehouse, broken only by the group's heavy breathing. Buffy turned to Alex, her eyes wide with shock.

"What was that?" she demanded, her voice a mixture of awe and suspicion.

Alex lowered his hands, the tingling sensation fading. "Just a trick I picked up," he said, trying to sound nonchalant.

Giles approached, his expression thoughtful. "That was more than a trick, Alex. That was magic."

Alex nodded slowly. "I've been keeping it under wraps. Didn't want to draw too much attention."

Willow's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "You have to tell us more. How did you learn to do that?"

Alex smiled faintly. "It's a long story. For now, let's just say I'm here to help. And I promise, I'm on your side."

Buffy's gaze softened slightly. "Alright. But no more secrets. We need to know what we're dealing with."

"Agreed," Alex said, relieved that they were willing to trust him, at least for now.

As they left the warehouse, Alex felt a sense of calm settle over him. The Scooby Gang knew a bit more about his abilities, and they were still willing to accept his help. The road ahead was still uncertain, but he was ready to face it, magic and all.
