The town of Royal Woods, Michigan. It's hardly one of the first points to catch anyone's eye when looking at a map of the state. Just your typical suburban and rural township away from the larger cities. It has neighbourhoods, shops, restaurants, a school district, farms, a local amusement park, and plenty of other places where its citizens go to take their minds off the pressures and challenges of their daily lives. It may not look like it, but life here could be anything but boring, at least to its residents. If you looked hard enough, there was plenty of excitement to be found here.
No one knew that better than the Loud family. A family made up of 1 boy, 10 girls and their parents who live at 1216 Franklin Avenue. To say they didn't live up to their last name was an understatement. Each Loud had their talent and various attributes but each sibling was loud in their own way, at school, at home, everywhere they go is a crazy adventure. Whether they have good times or bad times, the Loud family tend to have each other's backs and be there for one another.
But in this family of talented daughters, there is one kid left behind. And that's the middle child Lincoln Loud. As his sisters are so talented, he feels like he's never gonna be special like them. But little did he know that he know that something would change his life forever. And this is the story of how it happened.
It all happened one summer while the Louds were on vacation at the beach. It was a nice sunny day and the Loud siblings were all in their swimsuits. Their parents had allowed the children to spend the day as a sort of vacation as long as they were home for dinner. All of Lincoln's sisters were doing their own things. Lincoln on the other hand was reading his comics under an umbrella. The 12-year-old albino often read comics to escape from his daily chaos. Today Lincoln was reading a comic called DIGIMON. It was about a boy named Mikey who went to another world with creatures called Digimon. There he met a dragon-like creature named Shoutmon and the two teamed up to stop the Evil Bagra army.
Lincoln looked up at the sky, wanting to be like Mikey. He wanted to have adventures, see new places and feel excitement. Besides A change of pace would be wonderful. To his mind at least. "Lincoln?" A all too familiar voice snapped Lincoln out of his thoughts. He looked and saw the twins Lana and Lola looking at him with concern. Lola happily sat with her brother on the mat. "You Ok bro?" Lana asked. The 7 year old tomboy twin was holding a bucket with sand it. "Not really." Lincoln admitted. "What's wrong Linky? You seem to be depressed." Lola asked in concern. "I prefer to think of it as pensive." Lincoln said.
The other sisters came over to join them. "What's on your mind Lil' Bro?" Luna asked. the 16-year-old rockstar looked at her baby brother with a concerned look. "He's been moping ever since school got out. No one likes a crybaby!" Lynn yelled. "That's enough Lynn!" Lori snapped at her sister. "I'm just tired of doing this." Lincoln said "Going through the same routine every day. Having to deal with the chaos every day. Oh, man. A change of scenery would be wonderful. I need a break." "A break from us?" Lola asked a little worried. "This isn't about you girls. It's about me." Lincoln replied avoiding the question. "Lincoln! We love you!" Lola said hugging her brother tightly.
"I know you do. It's just I'm tired of being in the shadows of you all." Lincoln said. "What do you mean Linky?" Leni asked. "You're all so good at everything. You win trophies, get your pictures taken. And, I'm always left out. I want to be special too. But what am I talking about? Let's get real here. It's not gonna happen. Lincoln, wake up and smell the hummus." 'Lincoln said sadly. "Guess I really am a nobody."
"Aw, Linc, that's terrible." Lori said sadly. Lynn walked to her brother. "Sorry 'bout the crybaby thing. Got carried away again." The 14-year-old athlete said to her brother. Then she noticed Lincoln's Digimon comic book. "Hold on! Digimon? Boy I haven't read these since I was little!" She said with a smile. "Wait, you like Digimon?" Lincoln asked in surprise. "I used to love them when I was growing up. Personally, my favourite Digimon was Agumon." Lynn explained with a smile. "Wow! Why didn't you tell me you were a Digimon fan?" Lincoln asked. "I didn't want to ruin my rep." Lynn admitted with a shrug. Meanwhile, Lisa was looking at a device in her hand as she walked along the ocean.
"Still not working." The 5-year-old genius muttered to herself. "I know a crack's here somewhere. But where?" She pressed a few more buttons on the device. "Hey Lis. Were you listening at all?" Lori asked in confusion. "Quiet. I'm onto something." Lisa said looking at the device. "Lincoln's feeling a bit down right now Lis." Lori said. " I said, quiet." Lisa said. "What you got there Lis?" Lynn asked before she swiped it out of Lisa's hands.
"Hey! Give that back!" Lisa yelled in protest. "Huh, This is... Well, I don't know what this is." Lynn said as she looked at the device. "Here. Lemme look at that." Lincoln said. Lynn handed the device to her brother who gasped. "What is it?" Leni asked. "I... I don't believe it! It's a real Fusion Loader!" Lincoln said in awe. "Oh wow. What is that?" Leni asked. "To put it simply Leni, it's a digivice." Lincoln explained. The other Louds gasped at this.
"I can't believe it! A real life Digivice! Like they have on the show!" Lynn exclaimed happily. "What if digimon are real too? Could you imagine." She took the Fusion Loader and held it above her head. "Agumon! DIGI ARMOUR ENERGIZE!" "Give me that!" Lisa snapped as she snatched the device. " It's extremely dangerous. It's not a toy." "Spill the beans Lisa." Lori snapped. "What have you done?" Lisa sighed before explaining. "Over the past few months, I've detected several security breaches In our global deep-space monitoring network. And if what I think is happening then we may be in trouble."
"What do you mean?" Lincoln asked. "You know my dimensional watch?" Lisa asked nervously. "The one that sent me to that dimension where I had 10 brothers? Yeah I'd rather forget it." Lincoln said hesitantly. "Well, a few months ago, I managed to open a gateway to cyberspace. And I was surprised, there were creatures there." Lisa said. "Oh wow! I can't believe it! Digimon are real! Did you meet Shoutmon?" Lincoln said excitedly.
"Unfortunately brother, I didn't have time to study my surroundings." Lisa said. "What happened?" Lola asked concerned. "While I was in awe at my discovery, my dimensional watch started to malfunction. I managed to shut it down but unfortunately, there was some consequences. A tonne of digimon ended up in our world! I don't like to admit it but I think I made a terrible mistake! And now who knows how many digimon are loose in Royal Woods." Lisa said as she hung her head in guilt. Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana and Lola looked at Lisa in shock! "I know, I know. I'm a terrible person and an awful scientist. I don't deserve my-" Lisa started to say. "Lis, it's ok. We want to help you!" Lincoln said hugging his little sister.
"I dunno Linc. That sounds a little hard." Lori said. "And terrifying!" Lola added. "Oh come on guys! I hardly ask for anything." Lincoln said in disbelief. "What about that time you used my money to buy your Ace Savvy comics? I'm still waiting for you to pay me back." Lola said, raising an eyebrow. "Lola, I told you. That comic was limit-" Lincoln started to say but was interrupted by a snowflake falling on his nose. "What the-? Snow? On the first week of summer break?!" Lori asked a little miffed.
"Not just here. According to my calculations, the climate all over the world is acting weird. There are blizzards in Egypt while Moscow is a desert! There's a drought in Venice but it's been raining nonstop in Australia!" Lisa said looking at the Fusion Loader. "Wha-!? If I known it was gonna snow today, I would've brought my coat!" Lola snapped. "Oh, you're always thinking about yourself Lola!" Lori scoffed. "Could this have something to do with the dimension watch's malfunction?" Lynn asked concerned. "I guess so." Lisa admitted. "Wait! Where's LILY?!" Lori asked in fright. The Louds looked around in fright. But the two-year-old toddler was nowhere in sight. Suddenly, the ground began to shake. "Woah! EARTHQUAKE!" Lana yelled in fright. To their surprise a giant monster appeared from out of nowhere!
"WHAT THE-!? What is that thing!?" Leni screamed in fright. Lisa looked at the Fusion Loader. The screen was showing data of the monster. "Yep, it's a digimon all right!" Lynn said as Lisa showed the data. "Ogremon, champion level! That bone mace he's carrying is no joke. Be careful guys!" Ogremon roared as he swung his mace at the Loud siblings. "YIKES! Who made this guy angry!?" Lana asked in shock. "GAH! MY HAIR!" Lola yelled in shock. Lincoln rolled out of the way still holding the DIGIMON comic. But Ogremon was on his tail! "Oh no!" Lincoln said in fright as he braced for the hit. But before Ogremon's mace could hit him, Lincoln heard an unfamiliar voice yell "FIREY FASTBALL!" Lincoln watched as a red dragonlike creature appeared and hit Ogremon! "You leave this kid alone!" It yelled. Just then Lincoln blinked in surprise. He recognized it from the comic!
"No way! Shoutmon?" Lincoln asked in disbelief as he gazed at the picture of the Digimon in the comic. "He looks different from the comic," he said. Shoutmon glared at Ogremon. "You digi-slimeball! How dare you attack these humans!?" he yelled. "Back off Shoutmon! These humans are on my territory! You may be king of the Digital World but I own this turf!" Ogremon roared. "So you attack them?! They're doing no harm here." Shoutmon shot back. Meanwhile, Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa were hiding nearby. "Maybe coming to the beach was a bad idea." Lori said in a worried tone. "But who's that digimon with Lincoln?" Luna asked.
Lisa looked at the Fusion Loader. "Huh. Shoutmon, rookie level. Special attack rock 'n' roller." She answered. "He's gonna get himself killed if he goes up against Ogremon!" Lynn said in disbelief. Shoutmon rammed into Ogremon's shoulder only for him to get swatted away like a fly. "Oh no!" Luan said in fright. "Gasp! This will get out of hand before the authorities can get here!" Lucy said. "A little too late for that don't you think?" Lana said."Wait! Linc's still over there!" Luna said in fright. The other sisters realised that Luna was right! Lincoln was stuck in between the fight.
Shoutmon lay on the ground, struggling to get back up. "I won't... give up!" he said as he struggled to get up. "I... won't fail... my promise... to Mikey!" "Shoutmon..." Lincoln whispered surprised. He couldn't believe that Shoutmon would go so far as to keep a promise! Ogremon laughed as he got ready to finish him off. "Leave him alone!" Lincoln yelled, throwing himself between Shoutmon and the attack. "LINCOLN! NO!"Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa yelled as the attack almost reached their brother.
Just then the Fusion Loader Lisa was holding began to glow! "By Darwin's beard!" Lisa exclaimed as it lifted itself out of her hands and flew to Lincoln! "What the-?" Lincoln said in shock."What's happening?" Lori asked as Lincoln held the Fusion Loader in shock. Just then The Fusion Loader turned from white to orange! "Whoa! How'd it do that?" Luan asked in shock. "What are you asking me for? I don't know!" Lisa spluttered in shock. While his sisters were in disbelief about what happened, Lincoln looked at the Fusion Loader in awe. "I can't believe it! My very own Fusion Loader!" He said in excitement. Shoutmon saw what happened as he pulled himself up. "No way! Is he-!?" he asked as he saw the device Lincoln was holding.
"Wow! This is amazing!" Lincoln said as his sisters ran over to him. "What happened?" Lori asked as they looked at the Fusion Loader in surprise. "I think I know." Shoutmon said as he walked over to them. "I think he's chosen to help me fight that big bully!" "Really?" Lincoln asked as he looked at the device. "Yeah. If you and I combine our powers, we can send Ogremon running for the hills!" Shoutmon said with a smile. Just then the dragon digimon began to glow. "Wha- what's happening to him?" Lola asked in fright. "I think I know! He's digivolving!" Lynn realised. "Digivolve?" Luan asked in confusion. "When a digimon digivolves, it becomes stronger. And I say we're about to see one happen right now!" Lynn explained before turning to Lincoln. "Stinkoln! You gotta make him digivolve!" "What me!? But I don't know what's going on!" Lincoln spluttered. "Don't worry! We'll work it out later. Right now we gotta stop that thing. You read the comics, so you know what to do. But don't worry. we're right behind you!" Lynn said before hugging her brother. As he hugged his sister, Lincoln realised that Lynn was right. "Alright. Here goes nothing." He said as he looked at Ogremon who was angrily looking at Shoutmon. "Let's do it! Shoutmon DIGIVOLVE!" Lincoln yelled as he held up the Fusion loader making the screen glow.

As soon as Lincoln held up the Fusion Loader, Shoutmon was engulfed in a bright light. "Shoutmon digivolve to..." He started to say before the light died down. In Shoutmon's place stood a tall gold dragon-like creature with metallic arms and claws. The Loud siblings were in shock at what happened. Lincoln stared at the new digimon that stood in Shoutmon's position. "OMNI SHOUTMON!" It roared in triumph!
"It worked! Shoutmon digivolved!" Lynn said in amazement. "Wait! That's Shoutmon!?" Luna asked in shock as the dragon digimon started retaliating at Ogremon. Lincoln looked at the Fusion Loader's data. "Whoa! Omni Shoutmon, Champion level digimon! His twin fireball strike attack will charbroil the enemy like a well-done steak." He said as Omni Shoutmon pummelled Ogremon. "Now you're gonna pay Ogremon! There's a new Shoutmon in town!" He yelled. "Impossible! How can you digivolve so quickly!? You can't do that!" Ogremon roared.
"Wanna bet?" Omni Shoutmon asked as he readied an attack. "PYRO VULCAN!" Two fireballs shot out of Omni Shoutmon's chest and hit Ogremon! "Nice! He got him!" Lynn cheered. "Not yet. He's still conscious!" Lucy warned. The Louds looked and saw that Ogremon was getting back up. "Not for long!" Omni Shoutmon grinned as he struck the green brute in the shin. Ogremon angrily swung his mace at Omni Shoutmon who caught it. "Not on my watch!" He said as he removed the mace and tossed it into the water!
"Oh no!" Ogremon yelled in shock. "time to finish this!" Omni Shoutmon yelled as two giant fireballs appeared in his hands. "TWIN FIREBALL STRIKE!" The golden dragon digimon yelled as he hurled them at Ogremon. The green brute roared in pain as the fireballs hit him. "CURSE YOU SHOUTMON! I'll get you for this!"Ogremon roared as he exploded. "Yeah, right." Omni Shoutmon said as he rolled his eyes. Lincoln looked in awe at the golden dragon digimon. "Woah." he said in astonishment.
"You did it Lincoln!" Lori gladly yelled. Lincoln looked before his sisters crushed him in a hug. "Good job Bro!" Luna cheered. "That was AMAZING!" Lola happily said. "Uh, girls... can't... breathe." Lincoln wheezed. Lori, Leni, Luna, Luan, Lynn, Lucy, Lana, Lola and Lisa stepped back as their brother gasped for air. "Gotta admit, I was a little worried that you couldn't help me out there. But You know something? You're all right, kid. What do they call you?" Omni Shoutmon asked as he bent down to look at Lincoln and his sisters. "Huh? Oh, my name. Uh, Lincoln. Lincoln Loud." The 12-year-old albino said before looking at the golden dragon digimon. "and you're a digimon?" "Yep. Gotta say, you're good with a Fusion Loader. Reminds me of Mikey." Omni Shoutmon said with a smile.
"But what about Ogremon?" Lynn asked in confusion. "Don't worry about him. He won't be bothering you anymore." Omni Shoutmon replied. "But I gotta admit, he's not usually attacking humans!" "What happened?" Lincoln asked in confusion. "Uh, Lincoln? We'd better go now or I'm pretty sure cops will be out looking for us." Lori said. "How come?" Lincoln asked in confusion. "uh, curfew. It's after dinnertime."Lori reminded her brother.
"Dang it!" Lincoln gasped before calling out to Lily. "Lily, come on! It's time to go! Where is she?" "I'll look for her." Omni Shoutmon reassured him. "You will?" Lincoln asked. "I still need to check something. We're going our separate ways for now." Omni Shoutmon explained. "Alright, not sure how my parents would react if I brought you home anyway. So I guess this is so long for now." Lincoln said before he ran to rejoin his family who were packing up while Lori called their parents. Omni Shoutmon watched as the Louds drove off in Vanzilla. "They seem useful. Especially that Lincoln kid."He said as he walked off. Meanwhile In Vanzilla, Lincoln sat between Lana and Lola looking at the Fusion Loader. "What's wrong Linky?" Lola asked in concern. "I'm just worried if what I did back there was the right thing."Lincoln said as he looked at the Fusion Loader. "What have I gotten myself into?" He wondered, not realising that he and his sister's lives were about to change forever...
