Mystic Falls, Virginia August 19, 2009

Waking up the next morning Iris sees that she had thirty missed texts from Caroline. Beginning to read through them, Iris jumps out of the bed and runs to find Remy and Siri.

"It looks like I missed all of the fun when I left the bonfire last night" Iris tells them, handing her phone over.

Both men read all of the messages, Caroline was thorough in her reporting.

"They're saying it's an animal attack, although I don't know any animal that bites like that" Sirius replies.

"They know exactly what it is" Remus says, taking a drink of his coffee.

Iris's phone dings, another text from the blond, "Caroline wants me to meet her before school. I'm going to get ready so I can check on her. She promised she was leaving when I did". Iris runs off to her room to do just that.

Coming down she notices her uncles are waiting by the door. Before they all walk out the door, Remus turns to look at her, "Make sure you keep your wand on you. Please be careful and call us if you need anything". Hugging her, he hands her off to Sirius for a hug.

"I will. I love both of you and make sure you keep your eyes out as well", Iris said. Heading to her car she texts Caroline, 'I'm leaving the house now, see you soon'.

Pulling into the school, Iris doesn't see Caroline yet. Normally she would be the first person to arrive, must be an off day.

Finally Caroline pulls into the parking lot and flies into a parking spot. Caroline rushes out of her car and over to Iris, "Sorry! I got caught behind the slowest driver on earth".

Iris smiles at her, "It's ok, I just pulled in myself. What happened last night? I thought you were leaving when I did, I would have never left if you weren't. It's dangerous to be out alone" Iris says to her.

Caroline smiled at her, "You're such a sweet person" she says to Iris. Caroline then proceeds to tell her how they found Vicki and that they said it was a mountain lion. She then tells Iris about trying to sober up at the grill and seeing the hottest guy ever.

"He exuded the whole tall, dark and handsome look" Caroline tells her. Iris giggled at Carolines description.

They walk over to where Bonnie was standing, she had just arrived. Caroline was talking to Bonnie quietly and Iris couldn't hear everything being said but she did hear Bonnie say something about her Gram talking about witches.

Iris wondered if maybe Bonnies Gram was someone Dobby had suspected. Maybe she should try and meet her.

Iris really didn't want to go to their history class. The class would be enjoyable but the teacher was a prick. Mr. Tanner honestly reminded her of Snape. They both treated their students bad and acted like they hated their jobs. Why become a teacher if you hate teenagers so much. Morons.

Luckily the day went by quick and now Iris was at practice with Caroline. The two girls were stretching when they noticed something was going on with the football team. Matt and Tyler were standing off to the side with their heads together, pointing towards where Stefan and Elena were talking. Elena was supposed to be stretching but seemed to be more into talking with Stefan.

With his back to the football field, Stefan couldn't see it when Tyler launched the football at him. There was no time to call out to him, mostly because she was in shock. Stefan quickly turned and caught the football centimeters from his face. That definitely wasn't something a normal person could do.

Stefan looked from the football to Tyler. Tyler had his hands up as if to say, 'Throw it' and Stefan launched the ball back to him. This caught the attention of everyone who was standing near. It was a perfect throw. Tyler caught the ball and looked to Matt. The coach also caught sight of this, Mr. Tanner called Stefan over to him. Tanner must have liked what he saw because Stefan was now standing with the football team.

Elena noticing he wasn't coming back, finally decided that she was going to join cheer practice. That seemed to be what Caroline noticed as well. Iris shook her head, as if to say 'I'm staying out of that mess'.

Luckily practice was quick and easy for Iris. Not all of the girls could say that, Caroline must have taken her frustrations out on them.

"Iris, are you going to the grill with us" Caroline asked.

"Oh, I can if you want. I was just going to head home since it's my uncles date night." Iris replied.

Caroline grabbed her arm, "You are definitely coming with"

Pulling up to the grill, Caroline and Bonnie are waiting outside. Iris walked up to them and followed Caroline in to get a seat. Bonnie was going to wait on Elena. The girls find an empty booth just as the other two walk in. Iris tells Caroline she will be right back and heads towards the bathroom.

Iris walks back towards the table and hears Bonnie say to the girls, "Well, I was talking to Grams, and she said the comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time it passed over Mystic Falls, there was lots of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity."

Caroline snorts into her drink, "Yeah, and then you poured Grams another shot and she told you about the aliens. So, then what" she says to Bonnie and then looked at Elena towards the end.

Iris walked back up to the table at this point. She knew something was going on with Bonnie's Gram.

Elena replies to Caroline, "Then nothing"

"You and Stefan talked all night? There was no sloppy first kiss or touchy feely of any kind" Caroline asked, shocked.

"Nope. We didn't go there" Elena replies

"Not even a handshake? I mean, Elena, we are your friends. Ok? You are supposed to share the smut" Caroline said, jokingly.

"We just talked for hours" Elena says.

"OK, what is with the blockage? Just jump his bones already! Ok, it's easy. Boy likes girl, girl likes boy, sex!" Caroline said loudly enough that Iris tried to hide under the table.

"Profound" Elena said, pausing she jumps up out of the booth.

Bonnie looks at her questionably, "Where are you going" she asks.

"Caroline's right. It is easy. If I sit here long enough, I'll end up talking myself out of it instead of doing what I started the day saying what I was going to do" Elena said. The other three girls watch her walk out of the grill before looking to each other. Shocked. Then Iris starts laughing at the absurdity of the whole situation she just watched play out. This set the other two off laughing.

Iris was standing in the middle of the town square trying to figure out how Caroline had talked her into helping hand out candles tonight. Honestly, she had a problem saying no to her friend it seemed.

Iris noticed Siri and Remy in the crowd and walked up to them with candles, "Save me! Caroline is somehow talking me into being a productive member of society and I can't seem to say no" she whines.

Both men laugh at her, "It's good you pup! You're becoming a member of this great community" Sirius jokes.

Iris rolls her eyes at him and then notices Elena and Stefan standing by each other. Whoops, Elena just walked off looking grumpy. 'Wonder what happened there' Iris thinks to herself.

Luckily they were able to grab a bite to eat after the comet viewing. From where they were sitting, they were able to see the whole place. Iris noticed Caroline walk in and waved her over.

"Caroline, these are my uncles. Sirius and Remus Black." Iris tells her.

Caroline shakes hands with both men, "It's so nice to meet you! I have really enjoyed getting to know Iris. I'm trying to get the best friend spot with her".

Iris smiles at Caroline, "Trust me, you are definitely the only person I would consider my best friend. I think I'll call you my Care Bear". The girls laugh at this.

The group of four all talk for a bit and Iris shares her food with Caroline. Once they have finished eating they say their goodbyes. Iris leaves with her uncles and Caroline heads over to sit with Bonnie.

Walking Iris to her car Sirius remarks, "Now I see what you mean by a bubbly personality." "I think she's good for you cub" Remus replies.

The three magicals don't realize they are being watched as they drive away.

Caroline is walking to her car later that night. Hearing a noise she stops walking. Shrugging it off she continues to her car but drops her keys. Bending down to grab them she doesn't see the man come up.

"Oh, whoa" Caroline says shocked.

Damon smirks, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you"

Caroline smiles back to him, "No its fine, I was actually hoping to see you again."

"I know" Damon smiles.

"Cocky much" Caroline replies.

"Very much" Damon replies.

Caroline and Damon are standing on her front porch, "Won't you invite me in" He asks. They end up in her bedroom, making out on her bed. Next thing Caroline knows is Damon is kissing her neck before she gets a severe pain shooting down her neck. He bit her!

"Aah" Caroline screams.
