Hey babes! Back again with a new fic! Been a while since I've posted anything for this little series, but I've decided to try and make good on my promise to myself to seriously up the count of skyeward fics that are currently available on Ao3. Haven't checked the count on this site, but I'm assuming it's not as many as it could be.

Thankfully, I've got a bunch of fics for this co-stars au that need posting, and instead of trying to work them into any kind of cohesive story, I'm just gonna post them as individual fics that are more along the lines of snapshots of their life after marriage. You're welcome.

Enjoy!

Slowly rolling onto her side, Skye rises up on her elbow and watches the scene in front of her. She reaches her other hand out to gently trace her fingers over the lines of her husband's back, laughing quietly to herself at the thought that she has a husband now. She's married. She's actually married. She's married to the love of her life and they're currently on their honeymoon. Two weeks together in absolute bliss without a single worry about home or work. And she couldn't be any happier about it than she is.

It's still fairly early in their trip, so they've been spending their time simply relaxing in their hotel room, basking in the seemingly endless glow of being newlyweds. It's been pretty amazing. They both texted their friends and family as soon as they landed to let them know they were safe, and then they fell deep into the hole of being on their honeymoon. It's been several days of no work calls or emails, interviews, learning lines, costume fittings, or anything else that's required for their jobs. And it's been absolute heaven.

Shifting more on the bed to get even closer to her husband, Skye leans over him, resting her chin on his shoulder. "Babe, you know what we should do tomorrow?"

"What?" Grant asks, his eyes still closed.

"Get matching tattoos."

Grant cracks an eye open and turns his head to look at her. "Matching tattoos? Isn't that a little…cliche? I thought you didn't want to be one of those couples."

She rolls her eyes playfully, leaning away and lying back down on the bed, turning onto her side to face him. "Not matching matching, just something that's super significant to us that no one else would understand because they aren't us."

He opens his eyes fully and flips over to look at her. "What exactly did you have in mind?"

"Oh, I can't tell you that yet."

He raises a brow. "You can't?"

"Nope," she says, popping the 'p'. "It's gonna be a surprise."

"Do I at least get to know before we actually get the tattoos?"

She shrugs. "I guess so."

"That's fine with me. Now can I please get some sleep?"

Skye lets out a heavy breath but smiles. "Fine. Go to sleep." She leans forward to press a lingering kiss to his lips. "I probably will too in a minute. Not quite tired yet, though."

"Mm-hmm," he mumbles as he shifts a bit on the bed and then closes his eyes.

Skye smiles as she watches him for a moment longer, her mind swimming with all the memories they've made together since meeting. She's always thought he was incredibly handsome, and it didn't take long from the day they met for him to become one of her absolute favorite people on the planet. Which is a very good thing, considering just a couple of days ago they vowed in front of all their friends and family to spend the rest of their lives together.

Reaching over to the small stand next to the bed, she grabs her phone and unlocks it, going straight into Instagram. She hasn't touched her social media since they arrived at their honeymoon destination, having made an agreement with Grant to stay off it as much as possible so they can simply enjoy themselves without the insanity of their regular lives creeping in. But he's sleeping now (or, at the least, very close to it), and she wants the world to see the beautiful photo she took the day they arrived.

She easily loads the photo, Grant kissing her cheek while she smiles, the setting sun and beautiful beach in the background, but not much else to identify where they are. She smiles at the image, types out a caption that no one but the two of them will really understand, and then posts it.

Locking her phone and setting it off to the side again, she scoots down further under the covers and moves closer to her husband. A giddy smile is on her face at just the thought of being able to call him that and refer to him that way in her mind. Grant Ward is her husband and she's his wife and she can't believe that this is actually her life now. But so far she's loving every single second of it.

Finally got him out of the country on a non-work-related event. ;)

KaraLynn Hope you guys are having fun.
CallMeBobbi Sammy saw this and tried to talk to you, then got very sad when she realized it wasn't FaceTime. She might actually have a meltdown if she can't talk to you.
JSimmons Glad you both arrived safely. Have fun.
DrLincoln Still can't believe you're married. But I'm so happy for you.
mamafitz I see so much love in this photo. Hope you two have a fun time.

"Ooh, look at them. They turned out so good," Skye says with a giddy smile, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she and Grant stand side by side to admire their new tattoos in the bathroom mirror of their hotel room.

"You think so?" Grant asks, his head tilted as he eyes the dark ink script sitting permanently below his left pec.

Skye nods, tilting her head in a similar fashion as she admires the dark ink sitting just below her left breast. "Mm-hmm. Definitely. And they're in a pretty good spot that no one will ever see them."

He quirks a brow at her. "You do realize that I'm more likely to be seen shirtless on screen than you are, right? So there's a high chance someone will see it sooner rather than later."

"Well, yeah, but no one's going to know the meaning behind it. All they'll see is a word in cursive. And when you do shirtless scenes they'll just cover it up with makeup because JT doesn't have any tattoos. Especially one like this." She emphasizes her words with a quick poke to his ribs instead of the actual tattoo itself since it's still fresh.

He sighs. "Yeah, I guess so."

She furrows her brows and turns fully to look at him. "Hey, do you regret getting the tattoo? Did you not want to get it? Because if you didn't want to get one, then you should have just told me you didn't want one. You know I'd never make you do something you don't want to do. I'd feel awful if I for—"

"Skye," Grant cuts her off gently, his hands coming to rest on her shoulders. He smiles softly. "It's fine, really."

"Are you sure?"

He nods. "Absolutely." He slides his hands down her arms until they're grabbing her hands, lacing their fingers together. "I love having something like this with you. It's even better than a wedding ring."

She smiles brightly. "The etchings in our rings are pretty damn great. And if there's ever a role either of us takes in the future where we're not working together and need to take our rings off, because of our tattoos it'll be like the other is still there with us. No matter what."

Grant leans down to kiss her. "No matter what." He takes a deep breath and releases her hands to slide his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. "Now, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling a little…"

Skye laughs to herself, rising up on her toes and running her hands up her husband's chest, being careful to avoid his fresh tattoo. "I think I know exactly what you mean." She wraps her arms around his neck, digging her fingers in his hair and pulling him down to kiss him.

Grant kisses her back eagerly, tugging her even closer to him. He lifts her up enough for her to wrap her legs around his waist and hold on tight as he carries her to the bed.

It is their honeymoon, after all.

I know they don't post a lot about their relationship on social media, which I totally respect, but I can't be the only one who wants to see all the cute pics we know they took on their honeymoon.
