A Few notes for this chapter: To all of my readers so far as you know there hasn't been much drama at all so I've decided to change that in the coming chapters starting with this so I hope you guys won't hate me for it. Also this chapter will have sexual content in it so read at your own risk. I hope my characterization for Gemro is still okay as I haven't watched the series all the way through in a while.

Anyway enough of my talking, on with the story...enjoy!

The boys sit down in the chairs, Tig looks at Gemma asking "Gem, what's this all about? Are you okay?" Gemma sits down onto the couch across from the guys "I'm fine Tig...well okay I'm not really" she says, the guys look at her confused. She's now getting very nervous, she gets up from the couch starts to pace back and forth in the office the guys notice this "Gem, just tell us what's wrong we love you, you can tell us anything" Opie says sympathetically then adds "What is it?"

Taking a deep breath she looks all the men in the eyes thinking in her head I've got no choice

"I'm pregnant"

Chapter 6: The Calm Before The Storm

May 24th 3:30pm

All the men are in shock their mouths gape wide open at the older woman's announcement, they couldn't believe what she had just said. After a while though the shock wares off as the men come up to Gemma giving her hugs offering their "congratulations" Gemma is so relieved they are being so supportive of the news. Gemma hugs them each of them back saying "thanks, I'm so glad you guys are okay with this" All the men depart the office, but tell Gemma to let them know if she needs anything, she said she will. Once they leave Gemma takes out the bottle of prenatal vitamins out of her purse, popping two of them into her mouth and swallows them, she groans "ugh" as she takes a sip of her ginger ale washing down the vitamins.

Now that she's told the men, she can get back to work, but first she dials Nero, he answers it on the first ring "Hey Mama" Gemma smiles hearing his voice at the other end "Hey babe, I just called you to tell you I told the guys about the pregnancy" At the end Nero's surprised he didn't think she'd tell them that fast "Wow well how did they take it?" He asks curiously as Gemma gets a drink of water from the jug "they were a little shocked at first, but they took it well" Gemma sits down on the couch with her water "I miss you, baby" Gemma says. "I miss you too, Mama" He replies back as Nero walks around Disoa seeing if the girls need anything as Gemma rubs her hand over her face "All right" There's silence "Hey baby, you all right?" Gemma shakes her head "Yeah, I'm okay I'm just really exhausted" Nero replies sympathy "Babe, I'm sorry" Gemma yawns as Nero says "you and the baby need some rest" Gemma chuckles "I know, but we'll be fine" Gemma exhales "Well I'm gonna let you go, I've still got to get some work here" Nero replies back "Okay, baby I'll be by to pick you up later" Gemma replies "Okay, see you later, love you" Nero says "see ya, love you, too" They both click off their phones hanging up.

7pm

Gemma put her hand on her forehead as she continues doing the paperwork, she takes a sip of the ginger ale she got herself earlier. She checks the time and realizes it's dinnertime already she and the baby are a bit hungry. She gets up from her chair and goes into the clubhouse kitchen to see what's in there to eat, opening the refrigerator door she looks into it, tapping her manicured finger on the top of it sighing to herself she felt a hand on her shoulder gasping "Oh!" she spun around quickly staring at the source revealing Tig "Jesus Christ, Tig you scared the shit outta me, don't do that!" she said with her hand on her chest. The young man smiles "sorry, Gem" Gemma shakes her head annoyed "What do you want?" She asks curiously. Tig shakes his head, shrugging his shoulders "nothing I just wanted to check on you, see how your doing" Gemma replies putting her hand on his shoulder "I'm fine thank you just trying to find something to eat" she adds "you know just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean you have to check up on me every second" Tig looks at her offended "Oh I'm sorry, Gem is that just Nero's job?" He questions her as she turns on her heel "Tiggy...don't be an asshole, Jesus" She says to him with a smirk on her face and her arms folded. Gemma smiles as she puts her arms around him.

Tig walks away shaking his head as Gemma continues rummaging through the refrigerator she decides to make herself a bowl of fruit, taking the contents of the bowl back with her to the office. she sets it down on the desk, then sits down in the chair and eats sipping her ginger ale ever so slowly. About a half hour later she's finished with her dinner she leans back into her chair enjoying the quietness of the time. Within a few moments her eyes close and she falls asleep.

9pm

Couple of hours later, Gemma awakes to sounds of motorcycles arriving, opening her eyes she looks around the room for a few seconds, rubbing her eyes from sleep getting up from the chair she grimaces rubbing her neck from sleeping in the chair, she yawns as she walks outside to meet Jax "Hey Mom" she kisses him on the cheek "Hey, baby" he hugs her "How did business go today?" She asks standing next to him "fine, same old shit" Gemma chuckles putting her arm around Jax's shoulder.

Jax's phone rings he walks away from his mother to answer it as Gemma walks back into the office just then her phone rings getting her purse unzipping it she grabs her phone looking at the caller ID Nero a smile forms on her face when she sees who it is "Hey" she says to Nero as he's doing paperwork in his office alone. "Hey Mama, I missed you so I just wanted to hear your voice" Gemma cooed "aw, baby I miss you, too" Nero smiled at the other end "Is the baby okay?" "Gemma smiles at her end "Yeah it is" as she rubs her stomach "I should be home in about an hour or so" Nero replies "Okay I'll probably be home before you because I'm almost done with everything here" Gemma yawns as Nero chuckles, then comments "sounds like you and our baby are tired" Gemma laughs "we are" After a few moments of silence Gemma says "Babe, this weekend I want you to move in officially" Nero is surprised by this even though they had talked about it earlier.

Nero is silent, quietly listening to Gemma talk, but she stops talking for a moment noticing the silence "Babe, are you still there?" Nero responds as he gets some water to drink "Yeah Mama, I'm here" Gemma sighs contently "So what do you think is the weekend okay for you?" Nero smiles at the thought "Sure, but you know I can't move all those boxes by myself" Gemma laughs "I know I'll help you, but of course no heavy lifting" Nero replies "I know, babe don't worry I won't let you lift anything heavy" Gemma's excited for this because it'll be so much easier on both of them "I can't wait for you to be officially I mean you're already basically there living there already, but it's great to actually say it you know" Nero replies in agreement "I know, Mama I can't wait either"

A few days later Gemma is helping Nero with moving the rest of his things into her house, Jax and Wendy are helping as well as Jax and Nero are bringing in the rest of the boxes while Wendy and Gemma are putting things away. After a few more hours Jax and Nero finally are loading the last few boxes into the house. Breathing heavily Jax announced "Well that's the last box" as he brings the box he's carrying into kitchen putting it on the floor as both Gemma and Wendy breath a sigh of relief "Thank god" they both say at the same time.

The two women continue taking things out of the boxes, putting them away. Gemma walks over the box labeled "bathroom" and starts putting away Nero's bathroom items including his razor and toothbrush. After the bathroom is finished she goes into Lucius's room straightening it up and his things away that were in the boxes which wasn't much.

After a few more hours all the boxes were emptied "Well, I think we've gotten everything done and put away now" Gemma announces with her hands on her hips to Jax, Wendy and Nero who are all standing with her. After a few more minutes Wendy and Jax decide to leave giving Gemma and Nero their privacy. With Wendy and Jax gone it's quiet with the exception of Lucius who is in his room reading a book, the couple retreats to their bedroom together, it's been a long day and Gemma's exhausted, Gemma lays on the bed with her head against the headboard as Nero lays beside her moving closer to her, he looks at her smiling "What?" She asks curiously. "Nothin' Mama" He kisses her lips as he moves his hands down to her feet gently rubbing them "I figured you could use a foot rub" Gemma giggles "I could use one" Nero continues rubbing her feet as Gemma moans contently "mmm that feels good, baby you really know how to treat a girl"

It's now been a couple of weeks since Nero and Lucius have officially moved in with Gemma and everything is going great and they are getting into a routine. Gemma's morning sickness is starting to ease up just a bit, but it's not totally gone at this point. Lucius is at the park with Kayla while Gemma and Nero are home for the day they decide to call in sick because they need a break from everything. Gemma is in her bed working on the baby blanket she had started, the blanket is now a lot closer to being finished then it was a few months ago, meanwhile Nero is beside her reading a book, but at the same time he's glaces over at Gemma when she's not looking She's so beautiful he thinks as he returns to his book.

Gemma stops her knitting and glances over at Nero, Nero looks at her "What?" He asks as she stands up on the other side of the bed "I was going to take a shower, wanna join me?" She asks flirtatiously, Nero gets up off the bed and follows her into the bathroom "Is this the rain check?" He asks as he puts his arms around her waist as Gemma smiles up at him "maybe" Gemma pulls away from his arms taking off her shirt, bra and and her jeans she then takes off her panties now she's completely naked, Nero finished undressing himself as Gemma turns on the water not too hot and not too cool then turns on the shower head as water sprays out.

Gemma steps into the shower pulling Nero in with her, as he holds her in his arms caressing her face she kisses him on his lips as he slips his tongue into her mouth passionately whispering "I love you, Mama" the passion continues to heat up between them, Nero touches her breasts gently as she moans softly he pushes her back towards the wall softly kissing her neck which turns into light biting, Gemma moans "Oh god" she whispering, Nero kisses her all over her body as Gemma feels his erection against her that's when he finally enters her, she gasps for a few seconds as Nero holds onto her she puts her legs around him as he thrusts deeper and deeper into her rocking her gently as Gemma moans loudly as ecstasy overwhelms her body, "Baby, I love you, don't stop" she whispers as Nero thrusts more into her as she holds her onto him as her orgasm takes hold, Nero gently puts her down, pulling out of her.

Gemma's breathing heavy she tries to calm down "ooh, damn baby you've still got it" Nero smiles "Yeah well you know...I love seeing you so happy" Gemma smiles for a split second, then suddenly pushes Nero against the wall "Baby, what are you doing?" He asks as she starts kissing him on his lips, moving to his neck, kissing, trailing down, gently biting him leaving her mark on him. She moves down to his member touching it with her fingertip, Nero shivers at her touch groaning as she teases him "Gem, baby don't do that" Nero demands "Are you sure you about that?" She asks smirking as he moans she continues touching him finally she puts him into her mouth sucking gently Nero holds onto the wall for support as Gemma continues giving him pleasure after a few more minutes he comes inside her mouth as she pulls out of him, he breathes heavily "I just want to make you happy too, baby" Nero smiles as she kisses him "Thank you" Gemma gently touches his neck feeling the bites marks she left "ooh, I got a little carried away" Nero presses his forehead against hers "It's okay, I love having them" as he gently touches her neck of the bite marks he left on her "I marked you too, getting carried away is a good thing"..Gemma whispers "I love them too"

They continue showing together washing their hair and bodies, then got dressed again before Lucius comes home. Gemma puts on a t-shirt and jeans, then tries to find a scarf to cover up her bite marks, she finally finds one. Nero puts on some pants and a tank top not covering his marks. Just then the couple hears the back door slam closed, they look at each other "We're home" Kayla and Lucius says as they make their way to Gemma and Nero, Gemma hugs Lucius as Nero kisses his son on his cheek "So, Mijo, how was the park?" Nero asks as Gemma "it was great, Kayla played with me and pushed me on the swings" Nero smiles loving that his son had a great day at the park.

Kayla walks over to Lucius kissing him on his cheek "bye kiddo, see you later" Lucius waves at her saying "bye Kayla, thanks for taking me to the park" Kayla smiles "no problem" as Kayla opens the door Gemma stops her giving her money for watching Lucius and a bit for the overtime then kisses the young woman on the cheek "bye, sweetheart thanks so much for watching him for us again" Kayla smiles "you're welcome glad too I love him" Gemma smiles at her, waving as she shuts the door closed.

Gemma asks Lucius "Are you hungry, baby?" Lucius nods "What would you like to eat?" She asks waiting for him to decide "mac and cheese" Gemma nods "okay, would you like to help me make it?" Lucius nods as Gemma helps him from the chair getting a stool, helping him step onto the stool standing besides making sure he's safe and doesn't fall. Gemma walks over getting a pot from the pot rack, then put some water in it, then waits for it to boil a few minutes later the water boils loudly, Gemma adds in the butter and milk, while Gemma reaches for the noodles letting Lucius put them into pot. "Well, baby we have to wait for the noodles to get done which should take about 7 to 10 minutes, let's get down from here for now" Gemma says as she takes Lucius's hand helping him down from the stool carefully.

About 10 minutes later Lucius and Gemma check on the noodles, Gemma takes one of them out with a fork cutting it in half, she concludes they are done, she turns off of the stove putting the pot over onto the other side, she opens up the cabinet looking for the strainer finding it she puts it onto the sink, then takes the pot over to the sink draining all of the water out, returning the noodles to the pot she gets the cheese packet opening it up "here sweetheart, you put the cheese in okay" Lucius does spreading it all around the noddles, then Gemma gets a wooden spoon asking him "do you want to stir in the cheese?" "yeah" she hands the spoon to the boy watching him carefully as he stirs the cheese around, meanwhile Nero watches from afar smiling loving the way Gemma was with his son he could tell she really loves him a lot.

Moments later the mac and cheese is done, Gemma gets down a bowl and a fork for Lucius "do you want something to drink, baby?" Lucius says "yes, milk please" Nero gets the milk from the fridge and a cup putting it down in front of his son, pouring the milk in it, Lucius takes a drink as Gemma sets his meal down in front of him he starts to eat "mmm, it's good!" he exclaims "Yeah you're gonna be a great cook when you grow up" Gemma smiles as she brushes his hair from his face.

A few weeks later Gemma and Nero are at home when Nero suddenly mentions he'd like to do something romantic with her, when he suggests going on a picnic together Gemma looks at him like he's crazy as she drinking her tea she made herself "what?" Nero smiles "come on, Mama, don't worry we can come back if we need too, we deserve this with the baby coming and all we won't have time for this" mentioning the time together. Gemma stands up with her hands on her hips thinking "Okay...but wait a minute you have to be up to something?" Nero shakes his head thinking Gemma and her suspicions Nero takes her in his arms whispering "I promise I'm not up to somethin' I just want to spend more time with you" He kisses her sweetly. Gemma lets it go knowing she's not gonna win this "alright...alright" She throws up her hands in defeat.

Days later, Gemma is working at T.M. while Nero is at Diosa on his lunch hour Nero goes out on a run asking Lyla to cover for him "sure when will you be back?" She asks as she gets one of the girls a drink from the bar "maybe a hour or so" Lyla stops him "Where are you going?" "getting a surprise" Lyla's interests is piqued. "oh what kind of surprise?" She asks "you think I'm gonna tell you that?" Lyla smiles "come on, I won't tell" Nero thinks about this, Lyla's a great girl and maybe she could help him with the surprise he's planning. "Okay I'll tell you, but you have to promise not to tell Gemma" Lyla's facial expression is concerning now, but when Nero sees this he adds "It's nothin' bad" Lyla breathes a sigh of relief "Thank god, but Nero you know Gemma hates surprises, she's going to kill you once she finds out as she always thinks people are doing things behind her back and keeping secrets which she is right a lot of the times" Nero smiles "I know all that Lyla believe me, but I love surprises, plus she won't find out right? and I don't care if she gets upset with me because once she sees what's going on she'll forgive me I'm sure of it" Lyla grimaces "Okay you know I won't tell her and I hope you're right about that"

With that Nero tells Lyla what he has planned for them as Lyla listens to him she's so excited "oh my god, Nero are you really going to do it?" She asks happily. "Yes I love her so much and I want her with me forever..listen Lyla I'd love if you would help me pick out a ring" Lyla smiles brightly at the suggestion "Sure I'd love too" The two of them leave with Lyla asking one of the girls to cover at the bar for them she says she would, Lyla calls out as they are leaving "call us if you have any problems" the girl nods.

Minutes later they arrive at the ring store Lyla and Nero spot where the rings are "over there" Lyla points out as she pulls Nero with her. "Hi, can I help you two?" The sales woman asks as Lyla and Nero walks up to her "Hi, we are looking for engagement rings" The woman smiles at them "Oh okay" she says pulling out some rings for Nero and Lyla to look at, Nero looks at Lyla "What do you think?" Lyla scans the rings slowly looking at each one seeing which one would likely be Gemma's type, she spots one that's beautiful it's got one diamond on it and three little diamonds beside the big one "I think Gemma would love this one, it's so pretty" Nero looks at the ring Lyla's pointing at "I love it..I think Gem would love it too" Nero adds "I want this ring" he tells the sales woman who nods "Okay sir" she totals up the ring "that comes to 1,000 dollars" Nero gives the cash to the woman as the she puts the ring into box then puts it into a bag "Thanks" Nero says "Yes thank you" Layla repeats as the two leave the store hoping they are right that Gemma will love the ring.

Nero and Lyla return to Diosa a half hour later a bit earlier then expected "Thanks so much Lyla for your help" Lyla says "No problem, I was happy to" That's when Lyla spots Gemma at the bar talking to the girls, not wanting Gemma to see the ring Nero quickly hides it in his pocket before approaching her "Hey, baby" he says kissing her on her lips. Gemma smiles up at him "Hey, I've been waiting here for 5 minutes, where did you go?" Nero doesn't know what he's gonna say now she's knows everything about anything "Well you know..at lunch gettin' somethin' to eat" Gemma nods "Oh okay" Nero sighs relieved she believed that.

Nero takes Gemma by the hand into the back room closing the door they sit on the couch together, Gemma looks at him with concern in her eyes "Are you okay?" Nero nods "Yeah" Gemma's confused "Well why did you take me in here?" She asks nervously "I just wanted to ask if you still wanted to go on the picnic later tonight after work" Gemma smiles "Sure, but you better not be hiding anything from me" Nero straddles her "Mama, you've got to stop thinkin' I'd hide things from you, you're makin' me crazy" She takes a deep breath "I'm sorry" He kisses her on her nose "What am I gonna do with you?" He asks shaking his head, his hand pushing a stray piece of hair out of her face, she whispers "I don't know" they press their foreheads together while holding hands as the door opens cutting short their quiet moment "Sorry to interrupt you two, but I need Nero for a bit" the voice in the doorway says.

Nero turns around, getting off Gemma smiling as Gemma opens her eyes glancing over Nero's shoulder at the door frame revealing Lyla standing there with an amused look on her face "sorry, babe" Nero whispers "it's okay, go I'll be fine" Gemma says as Nero leaves the room leaving Gemma alone in the room.

A few hours later Nero is done with his work while Gemma was knitting more on the baby's blanket she only had a little more to go until it was done so she's hoping to get it done in the next few days. Nero returns to the room he left Gemma at closing the door, Gemma looks up "Hey did you get everything done you needed to?" She asks as he sits down on the couch beside her. "Yeah are you ready to go?" He asks hoping she'd still want to go. Gemma's still knitting, but stops "Yeah, let's go"

Gemma grabs her knitting and needle while Nero reaches for her purse handing it to her "Thanks" Nero takes her hand into his "you're welcome oh we need to stop at the house for a second I gotta get some stuff" Gemma's now curious "Oh?" They walk out of Disoa together and head home.

They arrive at house within a few minutes Gemma waits in the car while Nero goes into the house to get the picnic basket it already has the food in it, Nero had packed it earlier, he also grabs a blanket and milk for Gemma, but he also gets ginger ale, some crackers just in case she needs them and for himself gets some bottled water. He takes Gemma's engagement ring out of his pocket looking at it smiling to himself as he all the sudden gets nervous about proposing.

Nero snaps the ring box closed putting it back in his pocket once again, he grabs the picnic basket, blanket and the drinks and heads back out, Gemma looks up as he comes out of the door with all the things in his hands she opens up the passenger door getting out to meet him the few steps "here let me help you with those" she offers. "Thanks, Mama" Gemma smiles as she takes the basket and blanket from him while Nero carries the drinks as they both everything in the backseat of the car. Gemma gets back into the car while Nero goes back to lock up the house then gets back into the car, they put back on their seat belts as the couple heads to the park for their romantic date.

Arriving at the park later that afternoon it's still a beautiful day, Gemma gets out of the car and opens up car door she picks up the picnic basket and blanket, Nero grabs the drinks he packed then closing the door behind him. The two carried everything over onto the grass and Gemma spreads out the blanket over the the grass, putting the basket down on it and sat down as Nero places their drinks down onto the blanket sitting down beside Gemma.

The peace and quiet is noticeable which the couple is enjoying, Gemma opens up the basket peering inside it to see what Nero packed for lunch she sees sandwiches and chips for them both and some fruit as well "the baby and I are very hungry" Nero hands her the sandwich and chips "Here you go, Mama" Gemma laughs "Well thank you" Nero digs out the other sandwich and chips for himself to eat "I hope I can keep all this food down" Nero looks at her agreeing "me too, babe" he says as he rubs her stomach lightly.

After a while they are mostly done eating with the exception of Gemma whose eating is a few grapes. "You want some, baby?" She offers him some, he nods his head no. She popped the last grape into her mouth, swallowing it. Nero felt this was the perfect time to propose he nervously reaches into his pocket pulling out the ring "Gemma" he says getting her attention "Nero, what are you doing?" She asks curiously that's when she notices the box in his hand she puts her hands over her face gasping "oh my god" she whispers as she starts to cry tears streaming down her face "Gem, I love you so much" Nero starts as Gemma looks deeply in his eyes he's as emotional as she is "Mama, I want to spend the rest of my life with you so I'm askin' will you marry me?" He asks as he gets down on one knee opening up the box containing the ring, Gemma smiles at him glancing down at the ring, her mind is spinning with thoughts God I love him so much I can't believe this wiping tears from her eyes she whispers "yes I will" Nero kisses her as he puts the ring on her finger "I love you, Mama I can't wait to be married" Gemma pulls him to her embracing him "I can't wait either" Nero looks at Gemma who has a bewildered look on her face "What's wrong?" He asks noticing the look on her face as he rubs her arm gently. Gemma holds up her finger stopping him from saying anymore "Wait a minute you had this planned out didn't you?" remember when I asked you where you were a few days ago?" Nero nods remembering "Yeah, so" that's when Gemma finally realizes what Nero had been up to "I'm gonna kill you" lightly hitting his arm...You hid this surprise from me?" Nero nods confirming it "Yeah I did because I know how much you hate surprises, Mama, but I don't so I wanted to surprise you with this motioning to the proposal and the picnic because you are under so much stress all the time with the club and everything else in your life that I wanted just this happy time for us and only us and besides it was nothin' bad so why tell?" A few a few moments Nero adds "I did have some help from Lyla with picking out your ring since you know she is a woman" Gemma smiles at that statement "That was sweet of her to do" Nero nods "Yeah it was"

Gemma waits patiently for Nero to finish explaining why he hid all of this from her she realizes can't help, but love him even more for this and he is right it was nothing bad..,just a surprise something that JT never had done it's hard for her hate him or even kill him "Aw, baby, I'm sorry" she apologizes, then continues "you're right about it not being a bad thing, but you know me I can't help, but be suspicious a lot of times..I was wrong as much as I hate to admit it" Nero nods "I know I'm used to it, Mama, I forgive you because like you said you can't help it even though I really wish you could, but I know that you do trust me" Gemma smiles crawling over to him giving him a quick kiss on his lips, then she puts her hand on his chest patting it gently "Of course I do and I know you'd never ever hurt me on purpose" That said Gemma takes a sip of her ginger ale as she enjoys the quietness for the moment.

The two make small talk quietly, Gemma leans her body into Nero as he held her in his arms for what seems like hours when a ringing interrupts them "Is that yours?" She asks curiously as the phone continues to ring loudly. "No Mama, it's yours" Nero replies letting go of Gemma as she grabbed her purse taking out her phone checking the caller ID Wendy Gemma groans ugh are you serious right now? just what I need when I'm so happy another interruption she lets it ring one more time before flipping it open "Wendy, sweetheart what's going on, I'm not..." Gemma stops talking when she realizes Wendy's crying "Sweetheart what happened?" Gemma starts to panic "Gemma, you need to come to the hospital right now!" Wendy said through the crying "What-" Before the older woman can even ask anymore questions Wendy screamed "It's Jax!" Gemma drops her phone to the ground.
