A few notes for this chapter: There's gonna be some Spanish in this chapter. I've used google translator for it so I hope it's translated right. There will be sexual content in this chapter so read at your own risk. The Red Velvet restaurant is made up. I didn't intend for this chapter to be so long, it just happened that way. Since the time I wrote this chapter I've discovered Gemma's house has an upstairs to it so I've edited this chapter to reflect that the best I can and fixed the scenes dialogue saying the nursery is upstairs.

The couple walk down the hallway and to the elevator, Gemma presses the button, the elevator opens and they step in, Nero presses the down button the two walk out of the elevator as it opens, both walk in sync with each other out the doors of the hospital, they hold hands as they walk to the car, Gemma slides into the passenger seat while Nero moves around to the drivers seat, they put on their seatbelts as Nero starts the car exiting the hospital content in finally knowing what they are bringing into the world...a little girl.
Chapter 10: Romance And Family Dinner
Gemma and Nero arrived at the store 10 minutes later, taking off their seatbelts they get out of the car and walk into the store, Gemma was looking around for the maternity clothes she couldn't find them, so she walks over to the nearest salesperson "Excuse me?" the saleswoman turns around to face Gemma smiling at her "Can I help you?" she asks patiently. "Yeah, I'm looking for the maternity clothes" Gemma replies while Nero stands beside her "okay they are over here, follow me" She says as Gemma and Nero look at each other, but follow the woman through the isles, the saleswoman stops after a few minutes "here's the tops and jeans and over there are the pants" she says pointing to the other rack a few steps away.
Gemma thanks the woman and she leaves them be, Gemma looks through the clothes on the racks, she spots a pink flowered t-shirt she holds it up to her chest "What do you think of this one, babe?" She asks Nero "It's beautiful, I like it" Gemma says "I'm gonna buy it" Nero nods "Okay" Gemma searches through the racks more trying to find a few more shirts and t-shirts she finds a few more then goes over to the jeans section she picks out a few pairs "You know I'm gonna have to try these on before buying them" she points out as Nero just smiles "I'm sure they'll fit just fine, babe" Gemma smiles back "Thanks for the encouragement" Nero replies putting his hands on his chest "You know I'm all about the love, Mama...and encouragement" Gemma chuckles as she walks to where the fitting rooms are "Can I try these on, please?" Gemma asks the fitting room person "Sure" she hands Gemma a number, then she walks into the fitting room closing the door behind her. Nero waits patiently outside for her. Gemma laid the jeans down on the shelve of the room then tries on the first pair of jeans she picked out she steps out of the fitting room to show Nero "Well?" She stands with her hands on her hips "I love them, Mama, you look hot" Gemma goes back into the room and tries on the other jeans one by one "They are all look amazing on you, do they feel okay?" He asks smiling "Yeah they seem okay and they are the stretchy kind so I should be able to wear them all through the rest of my pregnancy" Nero adds "What about the shirts, you gonna try them on too?" He asks wondering "Yeah, of course"
Gemma goes back into the fitting room and comes out with one of the shirts she picked out on, she smiles looking at Nero "how does it look?" She asks smiling "You look beautiful, babe" Gemma goes over to Nero kissing him "Thank you" She whispers. Nero whispers in her ear "Te quiero" She expresses confusion on face "I love you" Nero translates, Gemma nods patting his chest "Well I'm gonna try on the rest of the shirts" Nero nods "Okay" Gemma returns to room and shows Nero the rest of the shirts they all fit fine, Gemma puts Nero's arm getting his attention "Hey, let's go to the baby section now that we know what we are having I want to get her a few outfits" Nero replies "Alright" putting his arms around her waist, he takes Gemma's hand into his as the couple walks over to baby section they walk through the isles of baby clothes "Aww!" Gemma exclaims she spots a cute pink onesie "Baby, look at this" She says pointing at the pink oneise that says "I love my mommy & daddy" Nero smiles gently taking it from Gemma's hands "It's adorable, babe" Gemma continues scanning through the isles picking out a few more outfits.
A few moments later they are now in the lingerie section as Gemma looks through the clothes she looks at Nero "Babe, I think we should start on the nursery soon" Nero adds "Yeah, I was thinking about that earlier after the doctor said we were having a girl, okay I will, but no paint fumes for you" Gemma nods smirking "I know" Gemma stops looking when she sees a sexy partly see through satin, lacy black nightgown "ooh, baby look at this!" She holds up the nightgown, Nero shakes his head "mmm, now that's what I'm talkin' about!" He exclaims adding "If I could I'd take you right here and now I would, but I'll take you tonight with that thing on" Gemma smiles taking him into her arms whispering "Well I'll take that as a yes to buying this" Gemma sighs heavily "I'm tired after all this walking around so let's get home I need a nap" Nero replies "Okay, let's go" The two go to the cash register to pay for their items, than walk to the car to finally head home.
6pm
10 minutes later the couple arrived home as they open the door Gemma smells an aroma in the kitchen "mmm, I smell food, babe" Gemma announces to Nero as he steps into the kitchen behind Gemma "Me too, it smells good" Gemma sets her purse and bags down on the table, taking the ultrasound picture out from her purse tacking it onto the refrigerator "Kayla, Lucius" Gemma calls out, Kayla appears from the other room "Hey you two I'm making dinner I just thought you guys deserved a break" Gemma smiles at the younger woman's nice gesture she gives her a hug "I got that from the smell in the kitchen thank you, Sweetheart, oh take a look at the ultrasound picture on the fridge" Gemma let's go of Kayla she walks over to the fridge exclaiming "Oh my gosh!" Gemma smiles at her reaction "It's a girl" Kayla smiles happily "Congratulations, I'm so happy for you two" Nero comes over and gives her a hug and kiss on the cheek "Thanks for making the dinner I'm starving, let us know when it's ready we'll be in the bedroom" Gemma takes her bags and purse into her room, setting them down on the floor, she plops down on her bed taking her off her boots "Ow!" She exclaims trying to rub the pain from her feet "My feet are killing me" She mumbles to herself.
Nero comes into the room and sits besides Gemma "Hey Mama, feet hurt?" He asks pointing to her rubbing them "Yeah" she grimaces as Nero motions for her to give him her feet she does; he starts gently rubbing them, she moans contently "ooh that feels good, babe" She lays down on the bed as he continues within a few seconds she's asleep Nero stops rubbing her feet, he gently picks her up putting her head onto the pillow then covers her up "Goodnight, Mama Te Amo Mi Amor" he whispers kissing her on her forehead leaving her to sleep.
Nero retreats to the kitchen to get himself something to drink while waiting for the dinner to get done, he sits down at the table with his drink "Kayla, you need any help with the dinner?" He asks offering to help. Kayla smiles "Thanks for the offer Nero, but I've got it, is Gemma asleep?" She asks as she puts the peas onto the pan turning on the stove then puts on the oven mitts to check on the steak. Nero answers clearing his throat "Yeah, she's asleep she's had a long day and she's pregnant" Kayla nodding in understanding "Yep that in itself is exhausting" Moments later Kayla announces "Well, dinner's ready, I'll get Lucius" Nero puts up his hands up stopping her "Nah, I'll get him, I gotta get Gemma up anyway" Kayla smiles "Okay, I'll set the table" With that, Nero goes into their bedroom, he stands at the edge of the bed watching Gemma sleep as her chest rises and falls, he doesn't want to wake her, but he knows she needs to eat something, he crawls over to her kissing her on the lips "Mama wake up, dinner's ready" he whispers, Gemma stirs slowly opening her eyes staring at Nero's brown eyes "Do I have to get up?" Nero shakes his head "Nah, I'll bring your dinner on a tray how's that?" Gemma kisses him "Thanks babe you're so sweet, I'll be waiting here"
Nero gets up from the bed going into Lucius's room "Hey Mijo, dinner's ready, time to eat" Lucius stops his coloring "Yay, papi I'm starving" Nero carries his son into the kitchen setting him into the chair, Kayla gets him his food and drink while Nero gets Gemma her food and some water to drink, he looks around for the food tray, he finds it in the cub board, he sets the plate and glass of water on the tray carrying it into his and Gemma's bedroom, she looks up smiling as he comes into the room, he sets the tray down onto her lap "Thanks, baby, you're the best" Nero replies "Sure" Gemma starts eating her steak as Nero eats his potatoes on his plate "You know, babe I feel weird with this pregnancy" Gemma confesses as she takes a drink of her water "What do you mean?" Nero asked confused taking a drink of his milk"I'm having doubts about raising another baby and doing this all over again and I'm scared" Nero sighed "Me too, Mama, but I love you and we'll help each other through this, it's gonna be okay, we both already have kids so it's not like we're new to this we're just starting over again" Gemma thinks about what Nero said, Gemma kisses him "You're right, baby, I don't know what I'd do without you"
10pm

She asks curiously "I was thinking let's go on a date because after the baby comes we won't have time for much those" Gemma thinks about this "That's a good idea, when do you want to go?" Nero shrugs his shoulder "I don't know whenever you want to is fine with me" Gemma yawns, Nero looks at her "It looks like someone's tired from all the sex we just had" Gemma lightly smacks him on the arm "You asshole, it's not only because of that although you always tire me out, not that I'm complaining, I love how you feel inside me when we make love" Nero kisses her on the nose chuckling "I know, but I think it's time for bed for all three of us now" he says kissing her belly "Listen Mija, it's time for bed so don't keep mommy and I up okay..or at least mommy" Nero says speaking to the baby as Gemma slides down onto her pillow "I love you" he whispers as she pulls him close, they kiss passionately "I love you too, goodnight" Nero whispers "Goodnight, babe" Gemma lulls into a peaceful slumber as Nero soon follows.
9am
It's morning, sunny and warm Gemma, Nero and Lucius are still asleep moments later Nero slowly opens his eyes, turning in Gemma's arms to look at her sound asleep beside him, he untangles himself from her and sits up in the bed rubbing his eyes of sleep, he gets up from the bed and stretches, then walks into the kitchen to make himself some coffee, he reaches in the cabinet for a cup, pours water into it then, puts it under the machine, then starts the coffee. While the coffee is getting done he decides to make Gemma some breakfast, he goes to the fridge to get the eggs and milk, then reaches for the skillet putting it on the stove, then grabs a bowl from the cub board putting it on the table, he cracks the eggs into the bowl, then pours milk into the bowl, mixing them up he feels a pair of arms around his waist "Good morning, baby" Nero turns around in her arms "Morning last night was amazing" kissing her "mmm, yes it was, what are you making?" She asks looking in the skillet "Breakfast for you, eggs and toast although I haven't started the toast yet" Gemma nods "Oh well I'm not sure if the baby will like the eggs, but I'll try them since you went through all this trouble" Nero smiles "It's no trouble at all, Mama" Gemma untangles herself going over to bread, she unties it getting two pieces of bread out, popping it into the toaster, she goes to the fridge grabbing the orange juice, Nero reaches up for a glass from the cupboard handing it to her "Thanks, babe" she pours the orange juice into the glass as Nero picks up the bowl pouring the mixed eggs and milk into the skillet he turns on the heat on the stove just then the toast pops up from the toaster, Gemma goes over to get it putting it on the plate, she grabs a butter knife from the silverware drawer putting butter on her toast seconds later the eggs are done, Gemma takes her plate over to Nero he puts the eggs on her plate "Here you go" Gemma replies happily "Thanks"
Nero grabs his own plate from the cupboard putting some eggs onto his plate, setting the plate down on the table "I'm gonna go wake up, Lucius" Gemma nods "Okay" She grabs a fork and starts to eat, moments later Nero appears with Lucius in his arms "Hey Sweetheart" She greets him "Hi, Gemma" Nero sits them down in the chair putting a plate and fork in front of him "Mijo, what do you want to drink?" Lucius replies looking at his father "milk, Papi" Nero grabs a glass and pours the milk into it, setting it down beside Lucius's plate "Thanks" Lucius starts to eat as Nero grabs a fork, his coffee and sits down at the table and starts to eat his own food as he's eating he stares at Gemma she looks up at him as she takes a sip of her juice "What?" She asks noticing he's staring at her "You have the baby glow, you're so beautiful" he says covering his hand with hers "you always know how make me feel happy" Nero kisses her "It's true because that's all I want for you to be happy" Nero takes a sip of his coffee to wash down his food.
After a few minutes breakfast is done "Baby, I gotta get to T.M." Gemma gets up from the chair, but sits back down immediately "Whoa!" She exclaims, Nero notices this and he goes over to her to check "What's wrong, Mama?" Gemma has her head down breathing heavily "I'm just a little nauseous, I don't think the baby liked the eggs" Nero rubs her back soothingly as Gemma tries to stand up Nero put his hand around her waist "Are you okay, Gemma?" Lucius who is still at the table asks concerned, "Yeah baby, I'm okay" She answers simply not want to scare him. Nero turns to Lucius saying "Stay here, Mijo, I need to take care of Gemma right now" Lucius nods understanding as Nero brings Gemma into the bathroom once there he sits her down onto the toilet "How do you feel now, Gem?" He asks still concerned holding her hand "I'm still nauseous" Nero grabs a glass, filling it with water from the sink handing it to her "Here, this might help" Gemma takes a few sips of the water "Thanks"
After some time, Nero gets up from the floor as Gemma gets up from the toilet she holds onto the edge of the sink for support, As she tries to walk a few steps she gets dizzy Nero quickly catches her making sure she doesn't fall to the floor "Hey, Hey" He pulls her up the motion of pulling her up is too much for her stomach she puts her hand over her mouth "Oh god" she let's go of Nero making it to the few feet to the toilet everything she had for breakfast is coming up which wasn't much as she's throwing up, Nero rubs her back "Oh babe" He remarks sadly. After a few minutes Gemma finally stops "ugh" breathing heavily trying to calm her stomach down, she turns to Nero who is still rubbing her back "I hate you!" She exclaims starting to cry softly. Nero kisses her "Nah, Mama don't say that" wiping the tears from her face with his fingers "I do too, you did to this to me you, asshole, it's all your damn fault!" Nero smiles putting his hand on his heart "Ouch that hurt, but I still love you anyway nothing will ever change that, not even the hormones" Gemma starts crying harder through her tears she manages to get out "I want to be myself again" Nero just holds her close "You will, Mama, back to your sexy, crazy,, but normal self and the woman I love...eventually and baby you know it's both our faults" he says chuckling softly. "I'm sorry and yeah it is and I'm not crazy...okay maybe a little" She whispered leaning into him as he whispered "I love you" she whispered back "I love you, too"
They stay there for a few more minutes in each others arms, Nero gets up from the floor and flushes the toilet, he goes over to Gemma "Mama, do you think you can get up now?" Gemma nods "I think so" Nero helps her up "You alright?" Gemma nods again "Yeah, baby can you get me my pills? I gotta take them" Nero nods "Yeah, sure where are they?" Gemma answers "In my purse" Gemma sits on the bed waiting for Nero to give her her pills, he comes back with her heart pill, her pre natal vitamins and a small glass of water "Here you go" handing her the pills she pops all three in her mouth at the same time taking the glass of water from Nero she takes a sip washing down the pills "ugh, god" she groans as they slide down her throat bitterly.
11am
Gemma gets up from the bed to get dressed for work putting on one of her new outfits she bought the other day, she sits on the bed trying to put on her boots, but notices her feet are swollen again.
"Damn it!" She yells frustrated, Nero runs back into the room "What's wrong, Gem?" Gemma glares at him "What do you think is wrong my feet are swollen" She looks at her hands and notices they are swollen as well "And so are my hands" She grimaces they are so swollen that her engagement ring is very tight on her ring finger, she tries to remove her ring "ugh, I can't get it off!" She says exasperated. Seeing Gemma struggling Nero sits down on the bed next to her "Here, let me try" giving him her hand, he gently tries to take it off after a few frustrating moments he gets it off "Thank you, baby" Nero kisses her hand "You're welcome, since you can't wear the ring right now why don't I get a chain for it so you can put it around your neck?" He suggests "You'd do that for me?" Nero nods "Of course" Nero covers his body with hers cupping her face as they both fall onto the bed, Gemma kisses him as his tongue slips into her mouth as her tongue slips into his mouth their kisses become more passionate, but before anything else can happen Nero pulls away "Don't you have to get to work?" Gemma laughs turning the tables "Don't you?" she questions; Nero answers "Ooh good point, my lady" Gemma sighs patting his chest "As much as I would love to continue this little escapade of ours we really have to get to work" Nero gets off Gemma helping her off the bed, he puts her ring on the dresser while he quickly gets dressed, he puts his necklace around his neck, Gemma comes over to clip it on for him. Gemma retreats to the bathroom to brush her hair and teeth, then puts on her make up, she checks herself in the mirror and leaves heading into the kitchen.
Meanwhile Nero takes the ring off the dresser putting it in his pocket, Gemma yells from the kitchen as she picks up her purse, keys and phone from the table "Baby, are you ready to go?" Nero yells back "Yeah, I'll be right out, Mama" Gemma puts her sunglasses on as she hears a knock at the door, She opens the door revealing Kayla "Hey, Sweetheart" She exclaims stepping aside letting the younger woman in, "Hey, is Lucius awake?" Gemma nods "Yeah, he's had his breakfast already now he's in his room playing" Kayla nods "Okay, I'll go check on him, you guys leaving for work soon?" Gemma nods "Yep just waiting on my man" With that Kayla disappears into Lucius's room as Nero comes of their bedroom into the kitchen, he sees her waiting patiently for him "Thanks for waiting" He says taking her hand in his "Sure, let's go" Nero opens the door letting Gemma out "Ladies first" Gemma goes out the door with Nero following behind her.
Gemma throws Nero her keys "You drive" Nero catches them "Okay" Gemma slides into the passenger seat while Nero gets into the drivers seat, they put on their seatbelts, Nero starts up the car "Oh here this is for you" Gemma unzips her purse pulling out her wallet handing him a $20 dollar bill. "The bet" She adds, Nero takes the money from Gemma smiling "Thanks, I was wondering when I was gonna get that 20" Gemma chuckles as Nero pulls out of driveway to drop off Gemma at work, they arrived at T.M. A few minutes later, Gemma gets out of the car and goes around to the drivers side window "Thanks for the ride, babe" Nero kisses her "You're welcome, I'll pick you later" Gemma clears her throat "Did Jax tell you when your car would be fixed?" Nero nods "Yeah, sometime today, the guys are putting it on a rush" Gemma smiles "That's good, I'm so glad" Nero sighs relieved "Me too, see you later, I love you, Gem" Gemma gives him a peck on the cheek "I love you too, see ya" Gemma walks away and into her office to start her day.
Two Weeks Later 4pm
Meanwhile back at Gemma and Nero's they are home snuggling in bed, Gemma is knitting again, Nero is laying on his side just staring at Gemma she decided to make the baby a pink hat she wants to put it on the baby when she comes home from the hospital, Nero pulls out of his pocket Gemma's engagement ring it's now got a chain through it "Hey, Mama" Nero calls out to Gemma she looks at him "What?" She asks continuing to knit "I have something for you" he announces handing her the necklace with the ring "Aww, thank you!" She exclaims crying softly, Nero kisses her cheek gently "I love you" Gemma asks "Can you help me put it on?" Nero replies "Sure" Gemma hands him the necklace, he puts it around her neck clipping the back of it closed "There you go" Gemma looks at it "It's beautiful, I love it" He kisses her hand "Hey, we should go on the date we talked about earlier tonight and hopefully we won't get interrupted like we did last time" He suggests, Gemma laughs at his statement as she to is remembering how they got interrupted by Wendy calling about Jax's hospitalization "How could I forget?" Gemma asks leaning into him. Nero nods "You don't want to?" Gemma smiles "Of course I do it's just I don't have anything to wear as in a dress" Nero raised his eyebrow "Oh?" Nero whispers in her ear "I bet you do though" Gemma thinks two can play at this game she whispers in his ear "And I bet you'll love this"
With out another word she licks her lips as she straddles him, then unbuttons his pants, slowly unzipping them "This is such a turn on, baby" Nero whispers pulling her close as her hand slips down his boxers to his member she gently touches the tip gliding her fingers up "Do you like that?" She whispers, Nero nods "Yeah" Gemma pulls off his pants all the way just leaving his boxers on "You want more?" Sighing deeply Nero nods getting her point "You're right, Mama...so now what?" Gemma chuckles "What?" Nero asks curiously "I'm just surprised" Gemma says staring at the ceiling "About what?" He asks still facing her "About the loving making we just did, I mean babe after all it's me and you know I love having sex especially with you" She adds "Also surprised that Lucius didn't hear anything" It was Nero's turn to be shocked "Shit" Nero groans upset "Baby, it's okay I don't think he heard anything" Nero chuckles "Good, we were lucky this time, but I think as long as we don't do it in front of him he'll be fine" Gemma nods "True by the way that's why I was trying to be quiet" Nero who is still naked under the covers moves closer to Gemma placing his hand on her stomach "Hey, baby girl" he whispers kissing her belly, Gemma is back to her knitting "What are you making now?" Gemma says simply "a hat for the baby I want it for her to wear when we take her home from the hospital after she's born" Nero gets up from the bed putting his boxers and pants back on "Mama, you want anything from the kitchen?" Gemma shakes her head no, but then changes her mind "Babe, can you get me some water? I'm thirsty!" Nero yells back from the kitchen "Yeah!" Gemma stops knitting as her eyes are getting tired, she lays her head on her pillow as Nero returns the bed with her water, a sandwich and milk for himself on a tray "Here you go, babe" he hands her the water she takes a drink "Thanks"
Gemma slipped out from underneath the covers putting her panties and jeans back on, she walks over to her closet opening it up she searches around for a dress finally finding one in the back of the closet "Hmm" She wonders looking at it, it's black and satin lace, she comes out of the closet holding up the dress to her "Baby, what do you think?" She asks showing Nero "It's beautiful and it'll look hot on you for our date tonight..see I told you have one" Gemma smiles "Yeah, yeah, yeah" She puts the dress back in her closet on a hanger then walks back over to the bed getting underneath the covers "Hey Mama, I was thinking of getting starting on the nursery this weekend" Nero announces to Gemma whose got her eyes closed laying back on her pillow, she opens her eyes sitting up "Why so early, babe we have 5/6 months to go before she's here" Nero explains "Yeah I know, but you're never too early to start on a nursery" Gemma cocks her head to the side "That's true, we could turn the guest room upstairs into one" She suggests "hmm okay that's good, but do you think it's big enough?" She asks not really seeing the potential of the room for a nursery. Nero sighs "I think it should be fine for her" Gemma eyes lit up with excitement "Really?" Nero nods "Yeah, of course we won't have anything to put in it yet, at least we can start to paint it" Gemma cups his face with her hands "Thank you"
9pm
Gemma and Nero are getting dressed up to go out for a date night. Gemma is in her bedroom getting dressed, she's going to wear the black, satin/lacy dress she found in her closet earlier while Nero is going to be wearing a suit. Nero is in the bathroom putting on his suit. Kayla is already at the house keeping an eye on Lucius for the night. After she's dressed, Gemma looks for her high heels, she finds them in her closet, she sits down on the bed to put them on, then walks to the bathroom, she knocks on the door "Baby, I need to get in here" Nero replies from the other side "Come in" She opens the door sliding inside "You look beautiful, Mama" He says complimenting her "Thank you" She kisses him on his cheek "You look handsome yourself" He smiles "Thanks" Gemma brushes her hair and teeth quickly, then puts on some make up. She turns to face Nero asking "Well, I'm ready, how do I look?" Nero kisses her on the lips whispering "You look hot, if I could I'd take you right here and now" Gemma puts her hand up "As much as I'd love that you wore me out already" Nero laughs questioning her "You worn out?" Gemma glares at him with her hands on her hips "asshole" she says simply.
Moments later the couple walks out of the bathroom, Nero grabs Gemma's purse, keys and phone handing them to her as she turns to Nero "Let's say goodbye to Lucius" Gemma and Nero walks into Lucius's room, where Kayla is reading a book to him, they sit on the edge of the bed Lucius looks at them "Hey Sweetheart, your dad and I are going on a date tonight so Kayla is gonna keep an eye on you while we're gone okay" Lucius nods "Okay, Gemma" Gemma pats his leg as she stands up as Nero leans over to give Lucius a kiss adding "Be good, Mijo" They leave the room heading out for a night on the town.
Nero opens the door for Gemma letting her out, the cool air of the night hits her and she shivers a bit hugging herself, Nero notices and asks "Are you cold?" Gemma nods "Yeah, a little" Nero steps back into the house grabbing Gemma's jacket for her "Here you go, babe" He says wrapping it around her body "Thanks, well your car or mine?" She asks curiously not that she minds whose car they take "Mine, I'm so glad it's fixed" Nero responds quickly "If we are going to take yours I don't know why I have my keys with me" Gemma hands Nero her keys and he puts them in his pocket.
They walk to the car, Nero opens the passenger door for Gemma "Your chariot awaits madame" Gemma smiles getting in "Thank you" Nero walks over the drivers side, gets in and starts the car they leave for the restaurant arriving there in five minutes, Nero gets out of the car again opening up the car door for Gemma, she gets out shutting the door behind her, they walk into the place with hand in hand.
The hostess greets them "Hello, welcome to The Red Velvet my name is Cassie" "Reservation for Padilla" Nero says. Cassie scans the names on her list looking for Nero's she finds it "oh yes of course, right this way, please" She says smiles leading them to their table Gemma and Nero follow her "here's your table and the menus, the waiter will be with you in a few minutes" Cassie walks away as Nero pulls out Gemma's chair for her "Thank you, babe" Gemma sits down as Nero sits down in his own chair next to her, they make small talk quietly and look at their menus while they wait for the waiter to take their orders moments later the waiter comes over to their table giving them both water "Hi, I'm James, I'll be your waiter for this evening, can I take your orders?" Gemma looks up glancing at the man "I'll have a salad and a lemonade" he writes down her order on his notepad then looks over to Nero "And you, Sir?" He asks waiting patiently "I'll have steak medium rare, fries and a small salad" James writes down his order "Anything to drink?" Nero thinks for a minute "Pepsi" James nods writing down the drink "Okay I'll be right back with your orders, James leaves.
While waiting for their food, Gemma and Nero talk "This is a nice place, babe...thank you for taking me here" Gemma starts "Yeah it is, you look so beautiful tonight, Mama..and you're welcome I just love you so much and I can't wait until our little girl arrives in a few months" Gemma takes his hands into hers "I can't wait either" A few minutes later James returns to their table with their orders "Here's your food" He says taking the food off the tray putting their orders in front of them "Thanks" They say in unison. "If you need anything else let me know" James smiles leaving the two alone to enjoy their meal.
The couple eat in silence smiling at each other and sweet glances, looking up at Nero, Gemma whispers "Can I have one of your fries?" Nero smiles picking a fry from his plate putting it into her mouth feeding her "Thank you" She whispers "You're welcome" He whispers kissing her softly a few minutes later they are finished "Do you want dessert, Mama?" He asks as Gemma thinks about it "Yeah, only if you share it with me" Nero replies "Okay" James their waiter comes back over to their table "Is everything okay here?" Gemma and Nero both nod, James asks "Can I get you two anything else tonight?" Gemma looks at him "I'd like some dessert, an ice cream sundae" James nods "Be right back with that" James leaves again to get the sundae. Nero takes Gemma's hand, she breaks the silence "You know, babe I'm surprised we haven't gotten interrupted yet" Nero glances at her "Mama, don't jinx okay" Gemma holds up her hand "Okay, okay, I'll stop right there..this was such an amazing night our first real date with no interruptions that's a record" Nero replies irritated "I thought you said you were not gonna jinx it" Gemma laughs "Okay now I'm done really" Nero sighs "What am I gonna do with you?" Gemma shakes her head "I have no idea" Just then James returns with Gemma's dessert and a spoon "ooh, that looks so good!" She exclaims as she digs into the sundae, Nero just watches her, Gemma looks at him "Do you want some?" Nero nods, Gemma puts a spoonful of the sundae into his mouth "mmm!" they continue sharing the sundae until it's gone.
"Baby, I've gotta pee, do you mind?" she asked
He smiles getting out of his chair walking around to her helping her up slowly
"Do you need any help, Mama?" he asked, still holding onto her hand
"No, I think I'll be alright" she answered back
"Okay" he lets go and watches her as she walks back to the bathrooms
10 minutes later she returns to their table where Nero is still standing there and helps her sit back down again.
"Thanks, babe" she says, smiling
"You're welcome" he smiles back as he returns to his chair sitting back down once again.
9pm
Sighing heavily "Well I'm full" Gemma says pushing her plate away. Nero agrees "I'm full too...hey do you want to go watch the sunset?" Gemma smiles "Sure" Nero helps Gemma up from her chair "ooh!" Nero asks "You okay, Mama?" Gemma nods "Uh yeah, I think so, just got a little dizzy I stood up too fast" "Oh, don't worry well I've got you" he says, wrapping his arm around her holding her steady as they walk to the register to pay their bill then walk out to Nero's car, Nero holds the door open for Gemma, she gets in, Nero goes over to driver's side and gets in he starts up the car heading for the lake.
While in the car they talk
"How is your dizziness?" he asks, looking at the road
"It's gone, babe, I'm okay" she replies, taking a deep breath
"Good, I'm glad I was worried there" he says, admittedly
"I love you, baby" she says, changing the subject quickly
"I love you, Gem" he says, smiling looking over at her for a split second before turning his eyes back onto the road again.
They arrive there within a few minutes, Nero gets out of the car opening the door for Gemma helping her out the couple walks over to the bench and sit down next to each other, after a few minutes of quietness, Gemma speaks "Wow, it's so beautiful here, babe" Nero puts his hand on her knee rubbing it gently "Yeah, but not as beautiful as you are" Gemma sniffles "Oh, Nero.." Nero replies wiping her tear stained face "It's true, Mama" she kisses him, the sun starts to go down slowly as Gemma leans into Nero closing her eyes as he puts his arm around, he whispers "I love you" Gemma whispers "I love you, too" They sit there a few more minutes "Are you ready to go, babe?" Nero asks getting up from the bench "Yeah, let's go home" Nero reaches for her hand, she takes his, they walk back to the car and head home.
An hour later they arrive home, Gemma opens up the door, throwing her keys and purse on the table, she yawns "I'm so tired" Nero rubs his hands over his face "Me too, Mama, I'm gonna go check on Lucius then I'll meet you in the bedroom" Gemma just nods going into her bedroom, she sits on the bed her feet are killing her, she takes off her high heels throwing them to the side, takes off her dress putting it in the closet then gets into her pajamas which consisted of pants and a t-shirt, Nero returns to the bedroom "Well Lucius is asleep so is Kayla guess she's staying over" Nero sits down on the bed next to Gemma "I had such an amazing time with you tonight, Mama" Gemma smiles "Me too" Nero rubs her stomach "The little one okay?" Gemma nods "Yeah, she's fine" Nero takes off his shoes and his suit, then put on some boxers they both crawl into the bed under the covers, Nero places his hand around her waist as Gemma leans against him closing her eyes within seconds she's asleep so is Nero.
Friday July 10th5pm
Just then Gemma's phone rings she picks it up "Hello?" Nero replies "Hey Mama" Gemma doesn't need to say anything to know who it is. "Hey, baby" She says simply "You doing okay, you sound tired" Gemma rubs her eyes "Yeah I'm tired, I need a nap by the way are you still gonna start the nursery this weekend?" Nero says taking a sip of his water "Yeah, I'm..if you want me too" Gemma nods "Yeah, I do and besides like you said it's never too early to start a nursery" Gemma sits back down at her desk putting her hand on her cheek just listen to Nero talk she could listen to him all day.
Nero hears silence after a few minutes of talking, he's concerned "Hey, Mama you still there?" Gemma replies "Yeah, babe I'm still here I'm just tired" Nero sighs "I know what you mean I'm tired too, I'm gonna get back to work, see you at home later" Gemma yawns "Okay I love you, I'll be home probably in an hour or two" Nero glances around Disoa seeing how the girls are doing "I love you too, Gem" He clicks off his phone as Gemma clicks off hers.
Two hours later Gemma returns home to find Nero already there in the kitchen making dinner "Hey baby" she greets him with a kiss. Nero's happy to see her "Hey, how was your day?" Gemma shrugs "Same old shit you know" Nero nods "Yeah, I know" Gemma smiles wrapping her arms around his waist "how was your day?" Nero turns in her arms to face her "just fine" Gemma points to the stove "So, what's all this?" Nero laughs "Gem, it's dinner you know that thing you eat in the evenings" Gemma glares at him lightly smacking him "Smart ass, I know what it is I meant what are you making?" She retorts her hands on her hips; Nero clears his throat "I'm making pork chops, mashed potatoes and corn" Gemma nods "Sounds good, your daughter's hungry and so is your wife" Nero turns to Gemma puts his hand on her belly, she smiles as he turns back the food "Do you want some help?" She offers "Nah, you go sit and relax, Mama I got this"
With that Gemma puts her purse and keys in her bedroom, she sits on her bed taking off her boots, sighing heavily she rubs her feet, she gets up from the bed padding her way into the kitchen, opening up the refrigerator she looks inside for a can ginger ale she finds one opening it taking a small sip, Nero notices the can in her hand "Feeling sick, babe?" Gemma nods "A little bit, not too bad" Nero looks at her sympathetically "I'm sorry" Nero reaches in the cabinet getting some crackers "here these should help" handing them to her "Thanks" She smiles opening the crackers and eating them slowly.
Minutes later Nero announces "Dinner's ready" Gemma gets up from the table "I'll get Lucius" He nods "Okay thanks" Gemma leaves the crackers and ginger ale at the table and walks back to Lucius's room, he's reading a book by himself in his bed "Hey sweetheart, dinner's ready" Gemma says sitting on the bed "Okay" Gemma helps him carrying him to the table, sitting him down, Nero sets his plate of food down in front of him "here you go, Mijo" Lucius smiles at him "Thanks, Papi" Nero sets Gemma's plate of food in front of her "Here you go, Mama" Gemma smiles "Thank you" Nero looks at Lucius "Mijo, what you want to drink?" "juice" he says simply, Nero walks over to the fridge getting the juice out, he pours it into the glass, Lucius takes a sip.
Lucius and Nero start to eat, but Gemma isn't really that hungry anymore in fact she's feeling a lot sicker than she was a few minutes ago, she pushes her plate away, Nero notices this "Hey Gem, you okay?" Gemma shakes her hand back and forth "No, I'm more nauseous then I was a few minutes ago" Nero rubs her hand trying to comfort her "I'm sorry, is there anything I can do?" Gemma thinks "No, but if I start puking you can do what you usually do to comfort me" Gemma takes a sip of her ginger ale and munches on more crackers as Lucius and Nero continuing eating their dinner. Gemma puts her hand down on the table closing her eyes trying desperately to get the nausea to go away.
Moments later Nero and Lucius are done eating, Nero carries him back into his room while Gemma is still at the table with her hand down. Nero returns to the kitchen table seconds later, he shakes Gemma gently on her shoulder "Mama...Gem?" Gemma stirs "Oh god, Nero I'm sorry" She rubs her eyes "It's okay" He says picking her up and carrying her to the bedroom, he gently places her on the bed, he pushes her over to her side covers her up within in seconds she's asleep, he kisses her on her forehead and leaves to go clean up the kitchen.
A half hour later the kitchen is cleaned, the dishes are in the dishwasher and Nero is exhausted himself, he crawl into the bed and falls asleep himself seconds later. In his slumber Nero turns over in his sleep to hold Gemma, he notices her side of the bed is empty that's when he hears sounds coming from the bathroom, he sits up in bed rubbing his eyes of sleep looking around "Gem?" he calls out, no answer he hears the sounds, sounds like throwing up, he races out of the bed, knocks on the door "Babe, you alright?" He hears Gemma gagging and coughing, he opens the door he sees her on the floor with her head leaning into the toilet, he bends down on the floor putting his hand on her back rubbing it to comforting her "How long have you been like this?" Gemma groans "I don't know" she says as she leans her head back into the toilet to throw up again "ugh..god, I thought morning sickness was supposed to be over already" Nero continues to rub her back "I wouldn't know" Gemma smacks him "Ow!" Gemma sighs "I'm sorry, but that doesn't help plus I'm tired and frustrated" Nero kisses her on her neck "I know you think you're done now?" Gemma leans back from the toilet breathing heavily the nausea is still there, but it's finally calming down a bit. She backs her body against the wall as Nero flushes the toilet and gets Gemma a glass of water "here you go" handing it to her she takes a sip slowly, he sits besides her against the wall, her breathing has gone back to normal now, Nero puts the water on the sink after a few moments she falls asleep leaning on him, he gently picks her up and carries her back the bed, then he goes back to bed as well.
Saturday July 11th 9am
The next day since both Gemma and Nero were half the night they are still asleep, Lucius is awake though just staring at the ceiling in his room. An hour later Nero awakes, he opens his eyes, but closes them quickly as the brightness of the sun shines through the window, he groans turning over seeing that his queen is still sound asleep next to him. He kisses her then gets up from the bed careful not to wake Gemma especially since she's had a long night, walking into Lucius's room he sees his son is awake, he goes in and sits on the bed "Morning Mijo" he greets him "Hey dad" he smiles, Nero kisses his son on his cheek "Ready for breakfast?" Lucius nods "Yeah, I'm hungry" Nero carries him out the table sitting him down "What do you want?" Lucius answers "cereal" Nero reaches for the box of cereal on top of the refrigerator, he pours it into the bowl, grabs a spoon from the drawer putting everything in front of his son, he grabs the milk from the fridge pouring it into the bowl of cereal, he gets a glass down from cupboard putting it beside the cereal, pouring some juice into it "Thanks, Dad" Nero smiles "You're welcome, Mijo" Lucius starts to eat as Nero makes himself some coffee and some toast for breakfast.
An hour later, Lucius is back in his bedroom playing just then Gemma awakens walking into the kitchen her robe around her body, she decides to just have some juice this morning and some toast hoping she can keep it down as she's pouring her juice into the glass she feels a pair of arms around her waist she just smiles not saying anything "Hey" He says kisses her "Hey, where were you?" He lets go of her, she walks over to the toaster putting the two pieces of bread in it, she turns around leaning her body against the counter "In the guest room remember it's gonna be the baby's nursery?" Gemma nods "I know" seconds later the toast pops up from the toaster, Nero reaches for a plate from the cupboard "Here you go" handing her the plate "Thanks" She says taking the plate, putting the toast on the plate, Nero hands her a butter knife to butter her toast, she butters her toast then sits down at the table with her toast and juice she starts to eat, Nero sat next to her in the one empty chair just staring at her.
Once breakfast is done, Nero gets up from the chair going over to Gemma's side takes her hand into his, and taking her into the guest room "Well, what do you think, Mama?" Gemma lets go of Nero's hand, she sighs putting her hands on her hips looking around the room "I think you're right it'll be just fine for her" Nero puts his arm around her waist "What kind of paint do you want on the walls?" He asks curiously, Gemma sighs thinking "since she's going to be a girl obviously pink and maybe a little blue and I want a mural on the wall too maybe of some teddy bears" Nero replies "Okay that sounds adorable" Gemma smiles "Yeah I think so too, we have to start moving out of the things in here before we do anything else" Nero nods "I know, I'll start to move the heavy stuff, you can move the lighter stuff" Gemma nods "Okay" Nero reminds her "No heavy lifting though" Gemma glares at him annoyed "I know" The two started to move everything out of the room, Gemma moved out the lamps and phone on the table while Nero moves out the dresser and the bed that's in the room, they plan to place everything in the garage. Everything's out of the room now "Wow, with everything out of the room it looks so much bigger" Gemma exclaims surprised, Nero nods his head agreeing "Yeah it does, I can't wait to start the nursery you know maybe Wendy and Jax can help me paint it" He suggests. Gemma looks over at him "Do you want me to call them?" Nero shakes his head "Yeah that's fine, but I have to get the paint" Gemma pulls him close to her "Okay" He replies "Well, I'm gonna go get the paint, I'll be back in a few minutes" They kiss "See ya in a few"
Once Nero leaves, Gemma dials a familiar number on her phone it rings twice before the voice comes on the other end "Hello?" Wendy says wondering what Gemma wants now "Hey sweetheart, Nero and I are going to be starting on the nursery well Nero is anyway, but I told him-" Tara interrupts her "Gemma what do you want?" Gemma sighs "Jesus Christ, why so upset?" The younger woman apologizes "I'm sorry Gemma I'm just tired, Abel has been sick with a cold these last few days and I haven't gotten much sleep lately because I've been up all night with him. Oh great there goes our help with the nursery thought Gemma. "I wanted you and Jax to come over here to help us with the nursery to paint it, Nero's out getting the paint right now, but I suppose I could just ask Jax to help" Wendy puts her hand on her forehead just then she hears Abel crying from the nursery "Gemma, I don't care what you do right now I've gotta a sick child on my hands okay..just call Jax" Wendy hangs up the phone leaving Gemma hanging on the end "Wendy?" Gemma shakes her head "That went well" she mumbles to herself. Gemma decides to call Jax "Hello?" He answers as he takes a puff of his cigarette "Hey, baby" She replies sitting on her bed, "Hey Ma, what's goin' on?" He asks putting out his cigarette on the ground "I need your help over here, Nero wants to start on the nursery and he needs help moving things from the guest room to the garage not to mention painting the room" Jax listens to what his mother is saying he's confused "Ma, the baby's not gonna be here until months from now" Gemma replies "I know that, but we want to get started on it now because really I don't want to have to worry about it later, I got enough shit going on right now" Jax goes silent for a few minutes "Jax, baby are you there?" Jax clears his throat "Yeah, Mom I'm here, I'll be over" He clicks off the phone, Gemma hangs up.
Jax arrived at his mother's house within a few minutes, Gemma goes out to meet him, he smiles as he takes off his helmet "Hey, Mom" She gives him a hug "Hey sweetheart" they walk into the house, Jax walks to the guest room he sees all the things that are in the hallway that were taken from the room "Whoa, this is lotta shit that needs to go into the garage" Gemma has her hands on her hips "Yeah tell me about it" Moments later Jax and Gemma hear the back door open "Hey Mama, I'm back with the paint" Nero announces, Jax smiles at Nero "Hey" Nero smiles "Hey Mano, you here to help?" Jax nodded "Yeah, let's start taking this stuff out to the garage"
After a few hours they finally got everything moved into the garage, Nero opens up the paint cans, they start painting the room "pink and blue?" Jax questions, Nero nodded "Yeah, it's what your mother wanted" Jax laughs "Okay" Two hours goes by, Jax and Nero are tired and sweating "Damn, I'm tired" Jax mentions putting down the paint brush, he looks over at Nero rubs his eyes "Yeah Mano, I'm too, lets take a break at least it's started" Jax nods "Yeah" Jax turns off the light shutting the door behind him as he and Nero head downstairs sit down at the dinning room table to relax.
Gemma comes to sit down at the table with them "Hey you two, how's it going up there?" They sigh heavily "fine, Mama we're just taking a break, but it's started" Gemma smiles "Good, I can't wait to see it when it's all done" Gemma looks at Jax"I want to have a family dinner tomorrow with you and the boys Jax" Gemma announces "Alright, but Abel has been sick lately" Jax replies Gemma smiles "Good, come over about 6 and I know that, if he needs to he can sleep at Grandma's"
Sunday July 12th 10am
It's now the morning, the sun is shinning bright through the windows, Gemma and Nero are sleeping still, Lucius is sleep in their bed as well, he had a bad dream during the night so Nero carried him into their bedroom letting him sleep with them. Gemma's the first one awake, she stirs opening her eyes slowly, she looks over to the side she sees her the two are asleep beside her, she smiles at the sight, seconds later Lucius opens his eyes smiling at his soon to be stepmother "Hey Gemma" Gemma caresses his cheek "Good morning sweetheart, did you sleep okay?" Lucius nods "Yeah, thanks for letting me sleep here" Gemma replies sleepily "You're welcome, baby" Gemma yawns rubbing her eyes, she uncovers herself from the covers, but doesn't move from the bed, Lucius moves closer to Gemma putting his hand on her stomach "Is my brother or sister okay?" Gemma nods "Yeah, sweetheart she's fine" Lucius gasps excitedly "She, I'm having a little sister?" Gemma replies "Yep" Lucius squeals happily "Yay!" Gemma whispers "Shh, baby your dad's still sleeping" Lucius apologizes "sorry" he whispers putting his finger to his lips.
A few moments later, Nero wakes up turning his head he sees that his fianceé and son are already up "Hey you two" Lucius smiles "Hey Dad" Gemma replies "Good morning, baby...I just realized we didn't tell Lucius about his sister" Nero's confused "huh?" Gemma explains "I mean we didn't tell him he was having a little sister soon" Nero whispers to himself "Damn" he adds "I thought we did" Gemma sighs "So did I, well don't worry about it now I just told him a few minutes ago" Nero smiles "Okay, well was he happy?" Gemma nods "Yeah of course, he was so happy that I had to quiet him down so he wouldn't wake you up" Nero laughs "Wow, I'm glad he knows now" Gemma gets up from the bed nodding "Me too..whose ready for breakfast?" Lucius yells out "I'm!" Gemma just looks at Nero, he shakes his head "kids" Gemma helps him up carrying him to the kitchen, she sits him down in the chair "What do you want for breakfast?" Gemma asks as she makes herself some tea, Lucius thinks for a second "pancakes" Gemma replies "pancakes huh, okay" Gemma places her tea on the table, grabs the skillet from the cupboard placing it on the stove, she looks in the cupboard trying to find a bowl she finds one, placing it on the table, she grabs the pancake mix pouring it into the bowl, she gets a pitcher of water from the sink pours it into the mix, takes a mixing spoon and mixes the water and pancake mix together, after a few minutes of mixing she pours each pancake batter onto the skillet waiting for it to bubble up it bubbled up seconds, taking the spatula she turns over the pancake, then the next one after a while the pancakes are made.
Just as Gemma puts the pancakes into a plate, Nero walks into the kitchen, kisses her "Good morning, Mama" Gemma replies happily "Hey I made pancakes for breakfast" Nero licks his lips "mmm, yum" Nero reaches for three plates one for him, one for Gemma and one for Lucius, he puts the plates down in front of the chairs, Gemma puts two pancakes on her plate, Nero's and for Lucius she gives him one for now "If you want more let me know okay, sweetheart" Lucius nods, Gemma gets the orange juice out of the fridge pouring it into a glass for Lucius, she puts it beside his plate "Here you go, baby" Lucius takes a sip "Thanks Gemma" She smiles "You're welcome" She says sitting down in the chair as Nero pours himself some juice and sits down next to Gemma they all start eating.
Half hour later breakfast is done Gemma cleans the kitchen while Nero carries Lucius back to his room, Nero comes back out into the kitchen to join Gemma, he looks over at her "What now, Mama?" She exhales deeply placing her hands on her hips "Well I suppose I should go into T.M. for a while" Nero looks at her confused "It's Sunday, Gem" Gemma replies "I know, but I have to go in I haven't been there in days and Chucky's probably going crazy by now even though I've called to check in and see what's going on everyday" She says adding "You gonna stay here with Lucius or call Kayla?" Nero replies "I'll stay here with him" Gemma nods "Okay, well I'm gonna go get dressed" She says walking away, she turns to face him reminding "I'll be home before 6 remember family dinner tonight" Nero smiles at her "I know, Mama" He walks over to her kisses her as she holds onto him for a few seconds, before leaving again for their bedroom, she puts on maternity jeans and a t-shirt, she walks into the bathroom to brush her teeth, as she's brushing she tastes the blood from her gums "ugh" she groans rinsing her mouth out with some water, then spits out the water and blood into the sink, she brushes her hair and put on her make up. She grabs her purse, keys and phone and heads out.
12pm
As she walks to her car, Gemma puts on her sunglasses, she opens the car to the drivers side getting in, she puts on her seatbelt, then starts the car and pulls out of the driveway. She arrives at T.M. With in a few minutes, she gets out and walks into her office, where she spots Chucky sitting at her chair she leans against the office wall, staring "Well isn't this cute, I'm gone for a few days and your here not doing shit" Chucky jumps up from the chair "Jesus, Gem, didn't know you were coming in today" Gemma pushes him away "Move it, Sparky!" Chucky mumbles "hormones" Gemma looks over at him "What?" Chucky repeats what he said "hormones" Gemma glares at him with intensity "Beat it" Chucky opens the door and shuts it quickly leaving Gemma alone with her thoughts.
Gemma is catching up on all of the paperwork from the last few days that had piled up from when she was gone it took her a few hours to complete, finally it was done and she's exhausted, sighing heavily "Now that's done" She says to herself as she quickly takes her pills washing them down with some water. Just then she feels some fluttering in her belly "Hey there, my little girl" She whispers placing her hand on at her stomach. She whispers "How are you?" Her stomach flutters again "I love you so much" She smiles as Tig walks in looking at her strangely "Gem, what the hell are you doing?" Gemma throws a plastic cup at him "Asshole, I was talking to my baby" Tig smiles sitting down in the chair beside her "Oh, can I feel?" Gemma nods, Tig places his hand on her stomach, not feeling anything he looks at her confused "I don't feel anything" He says, Gemma explains "Well I'm only 4 months so it's only fluttering right now" Tig understands "Oh okay I get it" It's then that Gemma realizes that she hasn't told the guys what she's having yet, she's only told Kayla and Wendy and Jax if you want to get technical via Wendy "Oh my god" Gemma says herself shockingly Tig hears this "Gem, you okay?" Gemma nods "Yeah Tig, do me a favor get the guys tell them I need them in the office right now" Tig replies "Okay, be right back"
Tig returns with the guys they sit down in the office "So Gem, what's going on?" Tig asks as he joins the guys sitting down on the couch, Gemma smiles announcing "I just wanted to let you all know that I'm having a little girl" The boys all smile "Congratulations, Gem, we are so happy for you and Nero!" They each go up to her kissing her on her cheek and hugging her "We love you" The guys than go back to what their work.
Gemma looks at her watch it's 4pm now, she walks into the clubhouse kitchen to grab herself something to eat before going home to start making the family dinner, Gemma opens the fridge glancing at all the food inside bending down she grabs the boxes of mac and cheese, she puts it in the microwave warming it up, as she waits for her mac and cheese to get done she grabs an apple and a bottle of juice to drink, the microwave beeps seconds later, she carefully takes out the container from the microwave, grabs a bowl and fork, puts the mac and cheese in the bowl as she's coming out of the kitchen she near collides with Bobby "Hey, Gem you need some help with that?" Gemma replies "Yeah, thanks sweetheart" Bobby takes the bowl while Gemma takes the apple and juice they walk to her office silently, Bobby places the bowl on her desk, he smiles, she kisses him on his cheek, he then leaves.
Gemma eats her lunch in silence in between sipping her juice and eating her apple after 20 minutes she's finished with her mac and cheese and juice, but she's still eating her apple 10 more minutes later her apple is eaten, but seconds later she groans placing her hand on her stomach "ooh!" She puts her head down in between her knees "I think I ate that apple too fast" She mumbles to herself moving the trashcan closer, taking deep breaths "Please, don't let me throw up" She whispers desperately putting her hand on her forehead not moving from the couch.
Gemma's head is still down in between her knees when she feels a hand on her shoulder, looking up she sees Tig she swallows hard "What do you want, Tig?" He sat down next on the couch next to her "You okay?" She replies "Yeah" Tig knows she's lying "Gem, if your so fine then what's the garbage can doing close to you?" Gemma rolls her eyes at him "Alright I'm a bit nauseous I think I ate my apple too fast" Tig looks at her sadly "Sorry Gem, is there anything I can do?" Gemma shakes her head "No, baby go on, get out of here I'll be fine" She shoos him away with her hand "Yeah right" Tig stands up from the couch "Tig, I'm not in the mood for this right okay, if you don't- she stops mid sentence quickly moving the can to her as the nausea gets worse she leans her head into it to throw up everything she had just eaten, Tig comes over rubs her back soothingly, she grips the sides of the can, minutes later gasping and breathing heavily, she slowly picks her head up "You know Tig, every time I'm puking my guts out you're here with me, why?" Tig laughs, shrugging his shoulder at her comment "I don't know, Gem, bad timing" Gemma rolls her eyes "Thank you and I have to admit at least someone's here" Tig puts his hand on her shoulder "You're welcome, you okay now?" She swallows as Tig gets up from the couch again to get her some water "Here" He said handing the cup to her "Thanks" taking a sip she adds "I think I'm alright now" Tig takes the can away from her and puts it outside away from everyone. Gemma leans back on the couch taking deep breaths trying to relax. Tig returns to the office, but leaves her be now that she's okay.
4pm
Gemma waits a few more minutes to make sure her stomach is settled enough, rising slowly from the couch, she leans against the wall making sure she's not nauseous still, letting go of the wall she walks to her desk grabbing her purse, keys and phone to head back home. She arrives home 15 minutes later, she opens the door and walks into the kitchen, where Nero's waiting for her "Hey baby, I'm home" Nero replies happily "I see that" He kisses her taking her things and putting them in her room.
Gemma goes into her room to change her clothes into something more comfortable, she decides on pants and a t shirt. She crawls into her bed for some alone time before she has to start cooking for the family dinner, she gets her knitting basket out and continues to make the baby hat she's started on a few weeks ago. A half hour later it's 5pm, she stops knitting, putting everything down and walks back into the kitchen and starts to cook, she makes a salad a roast with potatoes and vegetable and fruit plates for everyone with Nero's help all of the food is done except for the roast which needs a few more minutes, Gemma checks her watch on her wrist "5:55, good just in time" She whispers to herself putting the dish towel over her shoulder as Nero starts to put the food on the table along with the plates and silverware. Giving the roast a few more minutes Gemma goes to check on it "hmm, it's done" She says as she takes it out of the oven, setting it in the middle of the table, Nero grabbed a few beers from the fridge for the guys, just then the door opens, it's Wendy and Jax and the boys "Hey come in" Gemma greets them with a kiss on their cheeks within a few moments later the door opens again it's the guys "Hey you guys come on in the food is ready and Nero brought out the beer" Gemma tells everyone to gather around the table "get your plates and dig in" She announces to the group.
Once everyone has everything they need the eating begins, Gemma has Abel in her arms while she eats After a few minutes Gemma's arm is starting to get tired so she decides to put the baby in her bedroom to sleep since he's still not feeling well, she places him in the middle of the bed so he doesn't fall out, she turns off the lights and walks back into the kitchen to sit down again and finish eating while watching from afar her family and her big boys enjoying themselves for once in a long while.
