Charlie Brown heard his alarm start to beep rapidly, as he relucantly reached out, and turned it off. He laid in silence, thinking.
"..Barely anybody likes me. I don't know why they don't like me. I've tried so hard to be nice."
He pulled himself out of bed with a heavy heave, and he stepped out of his room, and tripped on air, and fell flat on his face. He groaned as he got up: "Good Grief..." He mumbled, as he pulled himself up.
He stepped into the bathroom, and paused at the mirror. Memories flashed by, all shattered like a old pot. Charlie had introduced Schroeder to piano, He had accepted Pigpen's dirtiness, He had been Linus's best friend, and had encouraged Lucy when the two had first met.
So.. Why did he get hated? Hated for existing, Hated for being a good friend?
"I- I get it, It's because I'm Charlie Brown, nothing unique about me. I'm not as cool as Peppermint Patty or Violet, I'm not as confident as Lucy, I'm not as talented as Schroeder. And definetly not as smart as Marcie. I'm just... Charlie Brown, whose unique trait is being a loser."
"I hate my face. It's basic. It's forgettable, and dumb."
He felt tears sting his eyes, but he forced himself to brush his teeth, and went over to the brick wall, and Linus wasn't there. "Good Grief, of course he's not here.."
"It's fine, Linus doesn't mean it..." He told himself, as he walked to Lucy's pyschatric booth, and she wasn't there, weirdly.
"Odd.." He mumbled, as he decided to check the Van Pelt's house, and noticed a brand new sign reading: "SOLD" on the lawn, and his blood ran cold. "N-No.."
He knocked, and Mr Van Pelt answered. "Womp, womp?" "Yes, Where's Lucy and Linus..?" "Womp, Womp. Womp Womp." "I-" Charlie Brown ran off. The Van Pelt Siblings were gone.. for real. They had moved away, with Mr Van Pelt remaining to finish business in town. He wished it was a sick joke, but it wasn't.
"CAN MY LIFE GET WORSE!?" He yelled into the air around him, with no response. Until he felt a tap on his back.
Schroeder: "Is something the matter, Charlie Brown?"
Charlie Brown: "..No, Schroeder, I'm fine."
Schroeder: "Charlie Brown, I can tell you are not fine. You've never been fine, and I never bothered to even ask.."
"Charlie Brown, come into my house for some hot chocolate. I owe you it, you introduced me to Beethoven, did you not?"
Charlie Brown was lead by Schroeder into his house, the two old friends spending time together, as the iceles fell, like crystal tears.
Charlie Brown cried crystal tears for most of his life, but Schroeder showed him not all was lost when losing the Van Pelt family.
