Bleach Part I: Death & Strawberry
Bleach Episode 7: BATTLE ON GRAVEYARD
(Rukia carries Ichigo's unconscious body as she looks for a place to put Kon in it.)
Kon: Rukia… He's too heavy! Rukia… Ow!
Rukia: What are they doing here? We have to get them somewhere safe!
Kon: Rukia! It's Ichigo!
Rukia: No! It couldn't be!
(Rukia and Kon then notice the now-revealed Grand Fisher.)
(Cut to Ichigo as he questions Grand Fisher.)
Ichigo: What the hell is this? That girl is a part of you?
Rukia: Grand Fisher. That's his codename. He uses a bait decoy that comes out from his head to disguise himself as a person. If a human sees it… Well, he attacks and devours those with high spiritual pressure. But also absorbs them to increase his strength. He managed to overpower the Shinigami for 54 years. That's him. His name is so well known that the Soul Society's Database has a huge bounty on him.
Grand Fisher: That hurt my feelings, little girl. This is a wonderful day that so many can see me in this form… It will make a regular meal.
Ichigo: Then the girl I was trying to save was his decoy. Which means that I fell for his trap. Then mom was…
Grand Fisher: Only three people saw me… What a delight… I wonder if all of them would fit into my belly?
Ichigo: Bastard!
Rukia: Ichigo, no!
(Ichigo roars out as he attacks Grand Fisher but dodges his attacks as he regenerates his arm.)
Grand Fisher: Useless… boy!
(He then tries to grab Ichigo but blocks his attack as he gets back on his feet, Grand Fisher expands his fur and engulfs Ichigo in it. Rukia then prepares a Kido spell.)
Rukia: Ichigo! Disintegrate Rondanini's black dog! Read through yourself, burn to a crisp, and claw your throat out!
Ichigo: Stop, Rukia!
(Ichigo then slices some of Grand Fisher's fur, setting him free.)
Rukia: Ichigo!
Ichigo: Rukia! I need you to stay out of this… You and Kon go and take care of Yuzu and Karin, okay?
Rukia: Are you crazy? He's too strong! He's killed many Shinigami for over 50 years…
Ichigo: Just go, Rukia! Stay out of this fight. This one is personal.
(Ichigo looks on at Grand Fisher as he prepares to fight him.)

Kon: No! I don't wanna get closer! He stinks! I bet he doesn't brush his teeth! Mother, father… Please forgive me!
(Rukia then pushes Kon closer to Ichigo also pushing the pill out.)
Kon: AAAAGH! Ugh… WHY THE HELL DOES HE HAS A GROSS MOUTH!
Rukia: Stop whining! Come on! We've got to get Ichigo's sisters!
(Rukia then remembers what Ichigo told her.)
Ichigo: Stay out of this fight. This one is personal.
Rukia: Leave this to me… Don't die, Ichigo.
BLEACH #07
BATTLE ON GRAVEYARD
(Cut to the fight with Ichigo and Grand Fisher as he torments him for letting Rukia go.)
Grand Fisher: So, you just gonna leave your little friend behind! Don't worry, she'll join you real soon.
(Ichigo then lashes out at Grand Fisher, only for him to push him back with his fur.)
Grand Fisher: What's the matter, boy! You think you can beat me by running away and by swinging your sword around! How are you going to protect your friends with that kind of ability? How could you say something like that, boy?
Ichigo: Damn it… He's super fast, despite having a huge body! I can't keep up with him! All I can do is dodge his attacks! If I run out of breath, he'll finish me off… No! I will not be defeated! He killed my mother! Yuzu and Karin had sad and lonely thoughts because of him. I swore that I'll protect them… Now is the time to do just that! I'm going to kill this monster dead!
(Ichigo rushes to destroy Grand Fisher, only for him to grab his sword.)
Grand Fisher: Has anyone ever told you that you're being a bit too reckless, boy? You should stay more focused! You show no discipline!
(Grand Fisher enlarges his claws and impales Ichigo.)
(Cut to Karin and Yuzu as the former wakes up to see Kon (in Ichigo's body.)
"Ichigo": Oh… You're awake, Karin.
Karin: …Ichigo? I-Ichigo…
"Ichigo": It's okay, Karin… You and Yuzu fell asleep on the mountain. You both got tired from the walk up. You get some rest now. I'll go get Dad.
Karin: …We were asleep? Back on the mountain… The man who saved me and Yuzu must've been Ichigo… If I did fall asleep, was it a dream? Right, Ichigo…
(Cut to Rukia and Kon as he makes it outside.)
Kon: Well, how did I do?
Rukia: You did pretty well!
Kon: Thank goodness! I feel exhausted after frowning for so long! How does Ichigo manage to keep his face like this?! Wait a minute… Aren't you going back there?
Rukia: Where to?
Kon: Y'know! To help Ichigo!
Rukia: I can't. He told me to stay out of it.
Kon: So you're not going to help him? That's a strong Hollow he's fighting, right? You said that to him! He's… not going to be killed, right?
Rukia: I'm not sure.
Kon: Well then… For whatever you believe in… Go save Ichigo!
(Kon then gets on his hands and knees, while pleading for Rukia to go save Ichigo.)
Kon: I beg you! If he dies, I'm going to be stuck in this body! And I'll have to live and take care of that stupid family. I don't want that! I'll die, come back to life, and then die again! Please, I'm actually begging you to go save him!
Rukia: Fine! I'll go help him!
(Kon gets up with joy in his eyes as Rukia agrees to help him.)
Kon: You'll do it?! You will!
Rukia: But… you must protect his sisters!
Kon: Okay!
(Rukia leaves while Kon sits back down as Isshin runs outside, startling Kon.)
Isshin: Hey, Ichigo! I bought some snacks, want some?
"Ichigo": Uh… sure.
(Cut back to Ichigo and Grand Fisher, as Grand Fisher pulls his claws out of him as he makes fun of him for throwing himself into a battle.)
Grand Fisher: So worthless… You're just mad that you sent your allies away and threw yourself to me blindly… You went right into my claws. You'll end up dying without ever beating me.
(Ichigo slashes at Grand Fisher, which he dodges, as he tells him that he is going to kill him.)
Ichigo: No! You're wrong! I will kill you! You can rip off my arms, blow off my legs, but I'll still kill you!
(Grand Fisher tells Ichigo how his youth and bravery makes him angry quickly, as he reforms his Lure to look like Masaki, shocking Ichigo.)
Grand Fisher: You should wake up, boy. You're so young and brave and it angers you super quickly, that it blinds you and dulls your blade. This ends here, boy! You were too green to challenge me!
Ichigo: …..!
Grand Fisher: You're surprised, aren't you? As I've told you, I don't really remember what happened six years ago. But I was able to recreate your mother. Based on your impression, you must be very upset. Hahahahaha!
(Grand Fisher explains to Ichigo why he attacked Ichigo with his claws.)
Ichigo: You…
Grand Fisher: Didn't you know? When I attacked you, I only used this hand… I used these claws to peek into your mind! I've examined your memories to find the one thing you can't tolerate. With this hand, I've formed this very thing! Even the cold-blooded Shinigami have weaknessess. That was how I've eaten every single Shinigami I've faced. And as for you, that person is your sweet, innocent, dead mommy!
"Masaki": Isn't she… Ichigo?
(Cut to commercial; KEYWORD: Grand Fisher)
(After commercial; KEYWORD: Grand Fisher)
(Cut to Rukia running to Ichigo's battle site as she thinks about her conversation with Kon.)
Kon: Please, I'm actually begging you to go save him!
Rukia: I will but… Is it really the right thing to do? I'm going to help Ichigo but what can I do?! There's so much guilt and vengeance running through him. For the first time, as a Shinigami, he's fighting for, not only himself, but those around him. What happens if I make him win? Will he ever accept that?
(Rukia then stops in her tracks as she sees Ichigo's battle with Grand Fisher, but is shocked to see Ichigo's bleeding wound.)
Rukia: Ichigo! Just stay out of it! If he wins because I helped him, he'll never get over it!
(Rukia then remembers something a long white-haired man told her.)
Man: What about his honor? His life would be saved if you help him now… But his honor will forever be damaged.
Rukia: Who cares about his honor! What difference does it make if he's dead?!
Man: Remember this very clearly, Rukia. There are two types of battles. Every time we fight, we're always faced with the same question: Am I fighting to maintain life… …or to maintain my honor?
(Cut back to the present as Rukia tries to stop herself from intervening in Ichigo's battle.)
Rukia: Yes… Ichigo's honor is at stake. I have to let him fight alone. Stay out of it… Stay out of it… stay out of it… stay out of it… Just stay out of it… You better not die… Ichigo…
(Cut back to the battle between Ichigo and Grand Fisher, as he continues to stare at the fake Masaki in shock.)
Ichigo: huff… huff… huff…
Grand Fisher: What the matter? Are you paralyzed from the sight of your own mother?
Ichigo: You sick, disgusting freak!
Grand Fisher: Huh?
Ichigo: Let's end this here! I won't let you ruin my mother's memory like this!
(Ichigo tries to land some slashes at Grand Fisher, who easily dodges and continues to taunt him.)
Grand Fisher: Clever boy… Let's see if you can beat your own mother!
(Grand Fisher then brings the fake Masaki to Ichigo to stop him from trying to defeat him.)
"Masaki": Don't do it, Ichigo! Put down your sword! Don't cut mommy… Please…
(Just as Ichigo lowers his sword, Grand Fisher impales Ichigo through the fake Masaki, as Rukia watches in terror.)
Rukia: No…
Grand Fisher: Hahaha! Just as I told you… Your anger dulls your blade! You're dead, boy! But for your own sake, I will say this… Out of all the Shinigami I've faced, you are by far the youngest, reckless and the weakest ever! HAHAHA!
(As Grand Fisher continues to laugh menacingly, Ichigo stabs him with his Zanpakuto.)
Grand Fisher: What the…
Ichigo: I've finally got you! Does my blade feel dull? Maybe you're right about my anger… But you must've forgotten, Grand Fisher. A dull blade is what I need to kill a foolish Hollow like you! You're the one who will die! But for your own sake, I will say this… Out of all the Hollows, I've faced, you are the oldest, slimiest, and the most annoying Hollow ever!
(Ichigo then slashes Grand Fisher through his side as he screams in pain and collapses.)
Grand Fisher: GGRRAAAAAAAHRRR! MY ARM! IT'S HANGING BY A THREAD!
(Ichigo stabs his Zanpakuto through the ground as his damaged clasp breaks and his scabbard falls to the ground as it starts to rain.)
(Meanwhile, in Karakura Town, at Tatsuki's house, Orihime comments about the rain as Tatsuki talks about how sunny it was earlier.)
Orihime: Hey? It's raining.
Tatsuki: Really!? It was sunny all day. How did it get like this so quickly?
Orihime: Tatsuki…
Tatsuki: Yeah?
Orihime: Can I borrow an umbrella?
Tatsuki: Sure, but… You can spend the night here, y'know. Your house gets very cold with all those holes.
Orihime: Well, it may not be a good time to tell you this, but… I got evicted.
Tatsuki: WHAT?! HOW?! WHERE ARE YOU LIVING NOW?!
(Tatsuki gets more shocked as Orihime pulls out a sleeping bag.)
Tatsuki: YOU'RE CAMPING OUTSIDE!? It's very dangerous, no matter how comfortable that bag is, based on your expression!
Orihime: I'm just kidding. I was evicted but I've been staying at a hotel until I find a new place to stay.
Tatsuki: Whew! Don't scare me like that! You've been holding that bag around as a joke, right? That's even scarier.
Orihime: Yeah… But I knew it wasn't funny. I was carrying around for a week, and I was thinking if it was worth it to get your reaction.
Tatsuki: No, it was actually funny! Very funny!
(Orihime then begins to leave, but Tatsuki asks her if she wants to stay at her place.)
Tatsuki: Wait, Orihime. Are you sure you don't want to spend the night here? You won't bother anyone, right? My parents are away for the night.
Orihime: No… but thanks. I didn't bring my school uniform here and I feel like walking tonight!
Tatsuki: Okay, then. See you at school tomorrow.
Orihime: Bye. See you tomorrow.
(Orihime then starts to walk to her hotel as she recalls Ichigo's past.)
Orihime: Ichigo's mother died when he was nine. I know what it's like to realize that there is nothing to be certain about in life. How do I feel for you now? Kindness? One-sided sympathy… I now feel like I understand you much better…
(Cut to Kon as he goes back outside as he thinks about Rukia's words and Ichigo.)
Rukia: Fine! I'll go help him! But… You must protect his sisters.
Ichigo: If you can't fight without getting hurt, don't fight it!
(As Kon remembers their words, he gets up to go to Rukia and Ichigo. Meanwhile, as Isshin realizes the rain, he goes to let Kon in but doesn't see him.)
Isshin: When did it start raining? I should go let him in. Hey, Ichigo! You should come back inside, it's starting to rain pretty hard… Huh? Now, where did he go?
(Cut back to Ichigo as he finishes his battle with Grand Fisher, as he stares at the bloodied Hollow.)
Rukia: Ichigo!
Ichigo: What took you so long, Rukia? I've already… beat him…
Rukia: You idiot… You told me to stay out of it.
Ichigo: And you thought I was telling the truth? Heh…
(Grand Fisher's eyes glow as Rukia warns Ichigo, as Grand Fisher shoots out his remaining tentacles, one cutting his cheek.)
Rukia: Ichigo, watch out!
Grand Fisher: GRAAAARRR!
(Grand Fisher then attaches himself to his Lure and shifts into it.)
Rukia: What the…
Grand Fisher: Heh… Remember when you asked me if my Lure was a part of me? Maybe you wanted to know if it was my sidekick? Well, you're wrong! I got two bodies! If one gets hurt, I go into the other! And with this body, you can't cut me!
(Ichigo tries to attack Grand Fisher, but Rukia stops him because he is too injured.)
Ichigo: You…
Rukia: Ichigo! Stop! This is reckless!
Grand Fisher: That's right! You should stop! Beasts with a bad vision are bound to their own eyes! Of course, like you. You know it's me in there… But you won't cut me down 'cause I look just like you precious mommy! And even if you can't cut me, you're too injured to catch me!
(As Grand Fisher makes his escape, Ichigo tries to get back to him but Rukia stops him.)
Ichigo: Get your ass back here!
Rukia: Ichigo! Stop! Just let him go! You can't fight anymore! It's over!
Ichigo: It's not! Not until he's fucking dead! I can still fight!
Rukia: Ichigo!
(Ichigo collapses in Rukia's arms, shocking her.)
Rukia: Ichigo!
(Kon then arrives at Rukia and Ichigo's site as he lies in Rukia's arms.)
Kon: Rukia…
Rukia: It's fine… A Shinigami's life force is equal to his spiritual energy… If his wounds haven't killed him yet… then his powers are greater than I thought… Thank you for not dying, Ichigo…
(Ichigo, now back in his body, wakes up as he screams in pain.)
Ichigo: OW!
Rukia: Calm down! The wounds you sustain as a Konpaku will stay with you when you return to your actual body!
Ichigo: But you always heal them before I return to my body…
Rukia: I'm sorry, Ichigo! I've used up most of my powers trying to heal the big hole in your chest that I couldn't heal the rest of your wounds!
Ichigo: Well, thanks…
Rukia: Also, any pain you don't feel in battle will be felt much worse when you go back to your normal body. You've been getting hurt a lot. Here are some band-aids…
Ichigo: Thanks… I lost… didn't I…
Rukia: He got away. But there were no casualties. You have won the battle.
Ichigo: He's not dead. I need to go…
(Ichigo gets up to leave as Rukia watches.)
Rukia: Ichigo…
Ichigo: Sorry. I'll see you at home.
Kon: This sucks… I'm so wet, I can't get up.
(Cut to Ichigo at his mother's grave as he apologizes for not avenging her.)
Ichigo: I'm sorry, mom… I've tried so hard to avenge your death but I've failed.
(Isshin then appears and tries to give Ichigo an umbrella, but Ichigo refuses.)
Isshin: Hey! I was wondering where you went, Ichigo! Take this…
Ichigo: I don't need it. I'm already soaked. It doesn't matter, whether I have one or not…
(Ichigo then takes the umbrella out of Isshin's hand and smacks him with it.)
Isshin: Time goes by pretty fast… She's been gone for ten years.
Ichigo: Six years! There's a difference between a grade and a high schooler!
Isshin: I was close! You are a smart boy. I'm impressed.
Ichigo: Don't be! Try to remember how long it's been since Mom died!
Isshin: Well, if she sees how well you've doing, it'll make her look good up there…
Ichigo: But…
Isshin: Huh? What is it?
Ichigo: That's right… He doesn't know that Mom's soul was eaten… Never mind… It's nothing…
(Isshin then pulls out a cigarette and smokes it.)
Ichigo: Since when did you start smoking?
Isshin: When Karin and Yuzu were born… She told me that when we first met, she thought I looked cool when I smoked. She even thought I was an action star. You want to know something… That was the only time your mother told me that I looked cool. I've decided that I was going to smoke on this day every year right in front of her.
(Isshin then sees Ichigo looking sad and tells him to cheer up.)
Isshin: Cheer up, Ichigo! Don't be a wet blanket!
Ichigo: How? How can you joke about something like this? Why are you not against me? I failed to protect her… I couldn't do anything to save her… I just can't. Why doesn't anyone blame me for this?! It was my fault! You guys should've hated me for that!
Isshin: Why should I blame you?
Ichigo: What?
Isshin: Masaki would get mad at me and you if I did. You're not at fault that she died. I'm proud of her. The person I loved sacrificed herself to protect her child. And that child was you.
Ichigo: Dad…
(Isshin begins to walk off as he tells Ichigo to live his life.)
Isshin: Live a good life, Ichigo. Live a good long life. You can get bald and die after me. And if you do, die laughing. If that never happens, I will never be able to face her. Stop being so silent. You're not old enough for the cool and tortured look. See ya down the hill.
(As Isshin walks off, Ichigo asks Rukia if she's there as she hides behind a tree.)
Ichigo: You there, Rukia? Are your Shinigami powers finally returning? Whether they are or not… Let me continue being one for a little longer. I want to become stronger. Incredibly stronger. So I can protect people from Hollows. I wanna get stronger so I can kill that monster! If I don't, I'll never be able to face my mother!
(Rukia looks at Ichigo, relieved that he is going to continue fighting.)
Rukia: Ichigo…

(The masked man then slashes Grand Fisher across his stomach as he screams and laughs in pain while the masked man reconstructs him.)
Grand Fisher: AAAGH! HAHAHA!
Masked Man 1: Be quiet. I would rather tear you apart right here! You ran away without using all of your powers! You've played with him too much.
Masked Man 2: That's right. You should know that when you fight a Shinigami, you go right for the head.
Grand Fisher: S-sorry…
Masked Man 2: It's too late for sorry. We've warned you about this. I don't like cleaning up messes.
Masked Man 1: Don't say that. I've already got his mask off. This scenario better not be repeated. Right, Grand Fisher?
(Grand Fisher, now in a humanoid form, promises not to make the same mistake again.)
Grand Fisher: I'll never give a Shinigami another chance again! Ichigo Kurosaki!
