Red Hat transfers to Duel Academy to face strong and powerful duelists. Until he realizes it's not what he expected. Not only does he have to deal with school but many twist and turns that will come his way during his time, as he wants to move on. What he doesn't realize, certain special friends will help him change his ways and the way he views the world in a more possitive light.

Chapter 3: To Warm Red Hats Heart

A/N: This capter I got carried away with a lot of things. For those that aren't aware, I have played legacy formats in old school YGO. Doesn't matter if its YGOPro Tag Force games etc. There's a reason I hate anime cards and anime archetypes, even if they exist in Tag Force. Cause got to have some anime cards no matter how terrible they are.

Time 11am

It has nearly been a couple weeks since Red Hat arrived at duel academy. During Red Hats time at the academy; the following weeks he gained such an infamous reputaion among not only the students, but also staff and teachers alike. Red Hat was already branded as being a delinquent, no good Slifer Slacker. Red Hat ignored all of this as he couldnt care less what the place thought of him. Through out the week Red Hat started going to class less and less often until he eventually stopped going to class al together. Despite what the rules said, Red Hat faced little to no penalty for not going to class. Red Hat always turned in any assignments they gave him, usually delivered by Professor Banner. No matter how much they gave him Red Hat had no trouble completing them.

Red Hat also went out of his way to duel more and more Obelisk Blues and only a small handful of Ra Yellows. While Red Hat took it easy a little bit when dueling the Ra Yellows, though he still wouldn't hold back in the slightest. While he would still duel very aggresivly against the Obeliks Blues. The Obelisk Blues despite their elite status, Red Hat proved them to be no better then your average Slifer Red duelist, with very poor dueling skills. Red Hat was so disapointed with all the duels he felt like questioning the standards the school really had. Despite the large amount Duel Points he was gaining. Red Hat barely bought anything at the card shop besides sandwitches, as Red Hat did not feel like eating at the Slifer Red dorm very often, unless it was fried shrimp day.

Red Hat has been staying at the Slifer Red dorm, often sleeping in late with occasionally eating sandwitches or anything that was edible. After some time through out the weeks, Red Hat refused to even go to class unless it was Professor Banner's class. Not only was he a nice guy, but Red Hat least felt the obligation to go to his class, mostly to return the favour. Least with his class Red Hat got a few chuckles with all the shenadigans that happens in his class, even if his leasons were nonsensical most of the time.

'What does Alchemy let alone Duel Alchemy has anything to do with dueling? Feels more like an excuse to have a chemistry class. Well considering I don't really have to do much in there, I dont really mind. At the end of the day, I at least get good laugh.' Red Hat chuckled at what happen a couple of days ago Banner mixed some chemicals only for it to blow up right in his face. Its one of the rare moments Red Hat actually laughed.

Red Hat was currently resting at the Slifer Red. This time Red Hat was ready to challenge to Jaden Yuki. Red Hat has been putting off dueling Jaden Yuki, since he was dueling mostly Obelisk Blues and small amount of Ra Yellows except for Bastion. When Red Hat dueled Ra Yellows, they weren't snobs like Obelisk Blues, only a handful were. Red Hat has not dueled any Obelisk Blue girls at this time. Red Hat feels they arent worth his time to talk to, let alone duel unless he really felt like pushing it. This lead him question something. 'Are all the females automatically placed in Obelisk Blue? If so then congratulations, you'll create the next generation of spoiled entitled duelists. Heck I don't even think the girls here even care about dueling.' thought Red Hat.

'Jaden Yuki, this time I'm ready to duel you.' Red Hat was having second thoughts. Jaden has been very excited to duel him every since he first came here. 'How will you react when you lose Jaden. Will I enjoy our duel? Will I actually face a strong opponent and not a bunch stuck up snobs with no skill?' Red Hat really shouldn't expect much, however since he has heard rumors that Jaden Yuki is one of the strongest duelist despite his rank. That only made Red Hat crack a smile at that thought 'A Slifer Red being the strongest duelist. Besides myself that is also Jaden Yuki. If thats true then maybe I should lighten up a bit. After all if both me and Jaden are the strongest at the Academy and both Slifer Red then, I should enjoy our duel. Further proving that ranks dont determin ones skill. It also means the way this academy's rank system works is incredibly flawed, not that I care enough to actually fix the broken system.'

After a while Red Hat notices Jaden coming back to the dorm. Though he was not alone, he brought some friends with him. He knew Syrus and Chumley, but he noticed an Obelisk Blue girl was with him. Red Hat raised an eye brow at that, but paid no mind. 'Whats an Obelisk Blue girl doing here? Does she hang out with Jaden? Thats really the only reason I can think of. Guess I should ask her soemetime.' Red Hat got up from where he was sitting to greet them.

"Jaden, Its been a while. What have you been up to lately?" he asked curious to what Jaden does.

"Oh nothing much, but if theres one thing I want to do today is duel. Say where have you been lately? I rarely see you in class these days unless its Professor Banner's class." Jaden asked, curious to what Red Hat has been up to ever since the fisaco with Dr. Crowler's class.

"I just stay here at the Slifer Red dorm until something interesting happens or if I feel like going for a walk. I dont really bother going to class like at all very much, unless I have to." Red Hat blatantly stated.

That left the others except Jaden stunned at Red Hats blatant disregard for going to classes. "Hold on, you dont even go to class even after that fiasco you pulled. What kind of attitude is that? Its like you want to fail for such blatant disregard for class." the Obelisk Blue girl said

"Look missy Im not missing much by going to these pointless lectures if they are already things I learned from long ago. At best I just get bored out of mind and I don't like sleeping in class." Red Hat retorted

"My name is Alexis thank you, and you really shouldnt have that kind of attitude. Even if you supposedly know your stuff, it doesnt hurt to go to class even for just a little while. You caused such a ruckus ever since you arrived here." Alexis explained, clearly angry at Red Hats lack of respect and shame for his actions.

"Woah you dont go to class and you know so much. Dang Red Hat I wish I didnt have to go class at all and just duel all day!" Jaden said

Alexis just sighed at Jaden's response "Jaden, don't encouage him please. You're just gonna make this worse."

"What can I say, I unintentionally build an infamous reputaion here at the Academy and I wasnt even trying to do so." Red Hat stated clearly not caring.

"Red Hat aren't you worried even in the slightest? You already made a lot on enemies here at the academy, mostly Crowler, many Obelisk Blue students and various staff members."Syrus spoke up.

Red Hat just shrugged at this remark "I dont really care. If they come to me, I face them with everything I got. I dont run and hide like a coward. I face my problems alone." Red Hat stated, although he left out a detail he refused to tell.

"You got guts, Ill say that much. Its not often someone here, let alone a Slifer Red stands up for themselves or anyone for that matter. You even stood up to not only Dr. Crowler, but the entire staff as well." Chumley said.

Red Hat gave a small smile. "You give me too much credit Chumley. But enough about this."

Red Hat turned to face Jaden. "Jaden I have putting this off for too long. Its time, I challenge you to duel!"

Jaden now got excited. "Sweet! Ive been waiting to duel you for a while now after all those duels you've been having!" Jaden readies his duel disk.

"Well then, lets make this a good match Jaden" Both when their corners of the field. 'Dont dispoint me Jaden' Red Hat menatlly said.

Syrus and Chumley at down at the stairs near Jaden side Alexis just stood next to them. "Jaden gonna actually duel him? Oh man I hope Red Hat isnt too rough on him." Syrus said, worried about Jadens perdicament.

"Actually Syrus, I want Jaden to beat Red Hat. At least it will make him rethink that attitude of his." Alexis said, wanting Red Hat to be put in his place for being so arrogant and condescending. 'Still I really shouldnt be so hard on him. He may have his own reasons for acting this way. As they say never judge a book by its cover.'

"Man its already getting heated and the duel hasnt even started yet." Chumely sweatdrop at Alexis and Syrus conversation.

Red Hat and Jaden got ready to duel

Duel

"Get your game on Red Hat!"

Jaden: 8000 LP

Red Hat: 8000 LP

Red Hat just smiled at Jadens remark "Alright then I wont hold back Jaden. Its go time. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

'Dang bricked. Oh well guess I'll have to settle for this though its a bit risky.' Red Hat regained his composure and continued his turn. "Ill set a monster facedown and set one card facedown that ends my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 4

"Wait thats all hes gonna play?" Syrus asked as he was expecting more.

"Maybe he has a bad a hand Syrus." Alexis believed that was the case

"Ouch its rough when you start with a bad hand. I should know." Chumley reminded

"Yeah no kidding."

"You got a bad hand there Red Hat? Okay then Its my turn, I draw!" Jaden draws

Hand 6

"I summon Element HERO Bubbleman in attack mode (Atk: 800 Def: 1200) and since Bubbleman is the only card out I get to draw 2 more cards. Now I play the equip card Bubble Blaster which gives Bubbleman 800 more attack points. (Atk: 1600 Def: 800)

Red Hat just raised an eye brow at his play. 'Why would you play that? That equip card is just unessesary.'

"Bubbleman attack his facedown monster bombarding bubble barrage!" Bubbleman fires a blast of water from his blaster. By the time the blaster was about to hit a Cybernetic Jar with a creepy smile appeared (Atk: 900 Def: 900).

"Cyber Jar flip effect. When its flipped face up all monsters are destroyed, then we pick up the top 5 cards of our decks if there any level 4 or bellow monsters we can summon them in attack mode or facedown defence positions any none monsters we add to our hands"

"Well then lets see what we get then. First draw, Hero Signal; Second draw, I summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in attack mode (Atk: 1600 Def:1400); Third draw, Mirror Gate; Forth draw, I set Elemenatl HERO Clayman (Atk: 800 Def: 2000); Fifth draw, Elemental HERO Avian in attack mode. (Atk: 1000 Def: 1000)"

Hand 8

"Well its my turn. 'Please let me get good draws.' First draw, Snatch Steal; Second Draw, Foolish Burial, Third draw, I set Sangen (Atk: 1000 Def: 600); Forth draw, Pot of Greed; 'Come On' Fith draw, I set Dandylion(Atk: 300 Def: 300)" Sangan and Dandylion on the field facedown were shuffled.

Hand 7

"Its still the battle phase so Sparkman attack one of his facedown monsters. Static shockwave" Sparkman fires a blast of Electricity at one of Red Hat facedown monsters. The first monster reveiled to be Sangan.

"Sangans effect, I can add a monster with 1500 or less attack from my to my hand. I choose Kinetic Soldier." said Red Hat, as he added said card to his hand.

"Ok then Avian attack his facedown Dandylion! Quill Cascade!" Avain attacks with a barrage of feathers destroying Dandylion.

"Dandylions effect, If its sent to the graveyard by any means I get 2 fluff tokens (Atk: 0 Def: 0 X2).

"Ill throw down 3 facedowns and then Ill play The Warrior Returning Alive so Ill add Bubbleman back to my hand. That ends my turn. Your move Red Hat." Jaden ends his turn.

Hand 6

"Man, what a card Cyber Jar is. Five cards when flipped but destroys all monsters." Syrus said.

"Cyber Jar is a very rare card, very few people have managed to obtain one. Guess Red Hat somehow managed to get a hold of one. Still Cyber Jar is a risky play cause you can potentially give your opponent 5 monsters or cards they need, Although it can also help you if you need more monsters or resources." Alexis explained, though now she was wondering how did Red Hat managed to obtain such a card? 'Cards like that are hard to come by how did he mangae to obatain one? What else does he have in his deck?'

"So its a double edge sword card then?" Chumeley asked.

"Yeah it is, still it doesnt make it any less powerful." replied Alexis.

"Okay Its my turn I draw!" Jaden draws.

Hand 9

"Ill tribute my Fluff Token to summon Jinzo in attack mode.(Atk: 2400 Def: 1500) Now all traps on the field are negated. Now I play the spell Foolish Burial I send a monster from my deck to the graveyard and I chose Airknight Parshath. Now I banish Sangan and Airknight Parshath to special summon Chaos Sorcerer! (Atk: 2300 Def: 200)"

"Wait he has a Chaos monster. Theres so few of Chaos Monsters ever realesed." Alexis said, shocked Red Hat managed to obtain a Chaos Monster.

"Hold on Alexis whats a Chaos Monster?" Syrus asked.

"Yeah whats a Chaos Monster I never heard of them?" asked Chumley, confused at this.

"Theres only 3 Chaos Monsters ever released so far Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Begining, Chaos Emperor Dragon - Evnoy of the End, and Chaos Sorcerer. The Chaos Dragon was so powerful, he got permidently in all offical Tournaments. Chaos Sorcerer and Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning are still allowed as they're not as powerful but still strong. All Chaos monsters need to be summoned is to banish a light and dark monster from your graveyard." Alexis explained to them.

"Wait Chaos Monsters are that strong. Yet Red Hat has one of them?!" Syrus exclaimed.

"Just how tough is this guy?" Chumley asked, worried about Jaden.

"Chaos Sorcerer effect once per turn I can banish a face up monster but it cant attack the turn its used so Ill banish your Sparkman" Chaos Sorcerer fired a powerful blast of purple flames, that eradicated Sparkman. "Battle, Jinzo attack his Avian! Cyber Engery Shock!" Jinzo fired an electric energy ball, blasting Avian.

Jaden: 8000 - 6600 LP

"Ill end my turn with facedown and end my turn. Your move Jaden" Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 5

'He's tougher then I thought guess Ill just have to get my game on.' Jaden thought, now determined to beat Red Hat "Okay its my move. I draw!" Jaden draws.

Hand 7

"I play the spell E Emergancy Call with this I can add an Elemental HERO from my deck to my hand, and Ill chose Bladedge. Now Ill play Polymerization to fuse Bladedge with Elemental HERO Wildheart to form Elemental HERO Wildedge. (Atk: 2600 Def: 2300) Now I summon Elemental HERO Burtinatrix in attack mode. (Atk: 1200 Def: 800) Just to be safe I play R Righteous Justice since I control 2 Elemental HEROs I can destroy you 2 of your facedowns! Then Ill switch Clayman to attack mode. (Atk: 800 Def: 2000)"

'So much for protection. Oh well, guess I underestimated you Jaden.' Red Hat smiled, as Jaden was offering him something others could not despite Jaden's questionable plays.

"Battle, Wildedge can attack all your monsters once each. Wildedge destroy his Jinzo, Chaos Sorcerer and his fluff token!" Wildedge charged in slicing all of Red Hats monsters.

Red Hat: 8000 - 7800 - 7500 LP

"Im not done yet Burtinatrix attack him directly Flare Storm! Clayman attack with Clay Cloberer." Burstinatrix shot powerful flames at Red Hat while Clayman charged at him and punched.

Red Hat: 7500 - 6300 - 5500 LP

"Alright then that should be enough I end my turn. Your move Red Hat." Jaden ends his turn.

Hand 2

"Alright way to play Jay! I knew he turn things around." Syrus cheered.

"Jaden managed to turn the tables on Red Hat. Thats a site to behold." Alexis stated.

"Yeah totally what I would have done" Chumley replies.

"Okay its my turn. I Draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I activate the equip card Snatch Steal to take control of your Wildedge!"

"Go quick play De-Fusion! I split Wildedge back into Wildheart and Bladedge. Since your target is no longer there Snatch Steal no longer works."

"Clever Jaden. Well then you leave me no choice then. I play the spell Dark Hole! All monsters on the field are destroyed!" A black hole appeared on top the field sucking in all the monsters with intense gravity and destroying them.

"Oh man even after Jaden defused Wildedge, he still destoryed all of Jadens monsters just like that." Syrus said worryingly

"Not licious." replied Chumly.

"Red Hat really isnt letting up. He waits until he plays his most destructive cards, even if it means it costs his own monsters too." Alexis pointed out. 'How tough is he? I never seen anyone play with this many powerful cards. Can he maybe even... No I cant think about that yet.'

"Well then now I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 cards. Now I summon Kinetic Soldier in attack mode! (Atk: 1350 Def: 1800) Kinetic Soldier attack Jaden directly!" The cybernetic Solider fired a lazer from his arm cannon blasting Jaden.

Jaden: 6600 - 5250 LP

"Now I set a facedown and end my turn. Just a reminder Jaden, when Kinetic Soldier battles a warrior monster it gains 2000 attack and defense points during the damage step, so be careful." Red Hat told Jaden not even caring if he was helping Jaden. 'Lets see how you deal with him Jaden since I'm well aware all your monsters are warriors.'

Hand 2

"Okay its my turn I draw!" Jaden draws.

Hand 3

"Whats Jaden gonna do now? He doesnt have any monsters that can beat over Kinetic Soldier as it will just keep gaining attack points." Syrus pointed out. Worried that Jaden had no out..yet.

"Dont worry Sy, Jaden always has plan I'll believe Jaden got something planned." Chumley said

'I hope you know what you're doing Jaden.' Alexis thought.

"Okay I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 more cards!" Jaden draws his cards and smiles. "Now I play Gracful Charity so I draw 3 cards then I discard two." Jaden discards Bubbleman and Necroshade. Jaden then drew what he needed. "Sweet, now I Play Miracle Fusion I banish monsters from my field and Graveyard to summon a Elemental HERO fusion monster. So I fuse Bubbleman, Clayman, Avian, and Burstinatrix from the graveyard to form Elemental HERO Electrum! (Atk: 2900 Def: 2600)" A muscular warrior with yellow bright armor appeared.

"Woah a I havent seen Jaden play him before." Syrus said, excited at seeing Jadens new fusion monster.

"Lets hope Jaden knows what he's doing." Alexis remined.

"Electrums effect when hes fusion summoned all banished cards go back to our decks. He's also treated as Earth Fire Wind and Water attribute so he gains 300 extra attack points if you control any monster that shares an attribute with him, pretty sweet huh." Electrum unleashed a blast of light returning banished cards back to their owners deck.

"Now I play the field spell Skyscraper!" The field soon was covered in many tall buildings. Red Hat was amused by this. '300 extra attack for all attributes minus Dark. This this is how you plan on getting rid of Kinetic Soldier Jaden? Well fine by me'.

"Electrum attack and destroy Kinetic Soldier!"

"Kinetic Soldier now gains 2000 more attack and defense points! (Atk: 1350 - 3350 Def: 1800 - 3800)" Kinetic Soldier had an energy spike as it charged it's laser.

"Skyscraper's effect, now that your monster is stronger Skyscraper gives my HERO an extra 1000 attack points! (Atk: 3200 - 4200 Def: 2600)" Electrum charged at Kinetic Soldier withstanding its powerful Lazer and destroyed it.

Red Hat: 5500 - 4650 LP

"Ill throw down a facedown and end my turn. You move Red Hat." Jaden ends his turn.

Hand 2

Red Hat remained silent for a bit with a grin on his face. 'Jaden despite your questionable plays you really are a tough duelist. Even though you still aren't close to beating me this is the most anyone has damaged me in years.' Red Hat mentally thought, happy that he found a worthy opponent after so long. Soon Red Hat felt something he hasnt felt in years. Genuine laughter and enjoyment of dueling.

Their spectators just starred at him confused. "Wait is he laughing? I never heard seen Red Hat laugh let alone smile and its actually genuine too." Syrus observed

"Your right Syrus I dont think I ever seen Red Hat smile or laugh like that" Chumley agreed.

Alexis couldnt help but give a small smile at this scene. 'Looks like someone has soften you up there. Guess all it took was to duel Jaden.'

"Jaden I havent enjoyed a duel in a long time. The fact by just dueling you actually were able to put a smile on face which I rarely do." Red Hat couldn't help but tell Jaden what was on his mind.

"I glad you're enjoying the duel. I knew you had the spark in you. Guess you just needed a little push to actually enjoy dueling. Dueling is meant to be fun Red Hat. Lighten up when dueling alright."

"Well then lets continue with our duel then. I Draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 3

"Well then guess its time to end this Jaden. I play Brain Control, I pay 800 LP to take control of your Electrum. Then I play Monster Reborn to bring back your Elemental HERO Bladedge thats still in your graveyard." Electrum and Bladedge appeard on Red Hat's field.

"Oh boy this isnt good." said Jaden.

"Oh man! Jaden is wide is open!" Syrus said completly ignoring Jadens facedown.

"This is gonna hurt." Chumley asked

"Dont count Jaden out yet guys he must have a plan. Red Hat has only one card in his hand. If Jaden survives this then Red Hat will be in a tight spot." Alexis pointed out.

"Electrum and Bladedeg attack Jaden directly!" Both Electrum and Bladedge charge in to attack.

"Go quick play Emergancy Provisions! I toss out Hero Signal and Mirror Gate on my field and gain 2000 life points!"

Jaden: 5250 - 7250 LP

"You still take the damage, Jaden." Red Hat said as Electrum and Bladedge continue to charge at Jaden.

Jaden: 7250 - 4350 - 1750 LP

"Wow you're still standing Jaden. Well lets keep up the pressure. I end my turn and Electrum goes back to your field." Electrum returns to Jadens field

Hand 1

"Jaden is still in the duel!" Syrus exclaimed.

"He's hanging by thread. Jaden will win if he keeps this up." Chumley replied.

'Red Hat doesnt seem to be worried at.' Alexis noticed Red Hat still had a facedown, he hasn't activated yet. 'Wait! Is he waiting for Jaden to do something, before activating it?'

"Okay its my move. I Draw!" Jaden draws.

Hnad 3

"Okay I summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in attack mode. (Atk: 1600 Def: 1400) Now I play the equip card Sparkblaster and equip it to Sparkman. Now I can change the battle position of a monste up to three times. So I change Bladedge to defense mode!" Spakman fires a bolt from his blaster forcing Bladedge to drop to defense mode.

'I think, I know what your trying to do Jaden. Sorry Jaden you got careless, but I at least admire the effort if it actually worked.' Red Hat thought, amused by Jaden's play.

"Now I play H - Heated Heart to boost Electrum by 500 extra attack points! Not only that when he attacks, he does peircing damage! (Atk: 3200 - 3700 Def: 2600) Battle, Electrum attack Bladedge elemental raidient burst!" As Electrum began to glow brighter to blast power light Red Hat was just smileing.

"Sorry you got careless Jaden, Go Trap Mirror Force! All monsters you control in attack mode are destroyed!" A holy barrier reflects Electrums blast destroying him and Sparkman.

"Man, talk about bad luck. Oh well I got nothing else to play so I end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.

Hand 0

'I should have known he was waiting until Jaden had a field to destroy all his monsters and leave him wide open.' Alexis was thinking.

"Oh no Jaden now has nothing to to defend himself with!" Syrus said

"So Jaden lost I can hardly believe it."

'Just like Zane, Red Hat is too much for Jaden.' Alexis thought.

"Well then time to end this duel. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 2

"I switch Bladedge back to attack mode. Well before may as well do this before I finsih the duel. I summon Tribe Infecting Virus in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 Def: 1000)" Three blue fish like creatures appeared with growtesque looks clearly infected.

"Well then time to end this. Battle, Tribe Infecting Virus attack Jaden directly, Bladedge attack Jaden directly! Slice and Dice attack!" Tribe Infecting Virus fires a blast of sludge while Bladedge charges in to attack.

Jaden: 1750 - 150 - 0 LP

Jaden drops to one knee after his life points reached zero. As the holograms Red Hat runs to where Jaden is. Red Hat extends his arm to lend Jaden a hand while smiling.

"Need a hand Jaden?" Jaden grabbed Red Hats arm to help himself get back up. "Jaden, I havent said this in a long time. That was a fantastic duel. I actually enjoyed our duel, which coming from me thats a major compliment." Red Hat couldnt help but start laughing

The others stood there stunned at the scene they just witnessed. "I'm sorry, I havent felt this way in ages. I cant remember the last time I had fun in a duel Jaden." Red Hat kept on laughing.

"Heck yeah, I knew that if you dueled me you lighten up Red Hat. Next time when we duel I'll be the one to win!" Jaden declared, now feeling syched for his rematch.

Red Hat couldnt help but chuckle. "I haven't felt this way in years Jaden, thanks to you I was able to enjoy our duel. Although, it feels like only you can offer me the challenge I was looking for Jaden."

"Well then, anytime you want a challenging duel just let me know okay Red Hat. I always knew you enjoyed dueling you just needed a strong opponent Red Hat. Say lighten up every now and then alright."

"Sure thing Jaden." they both shook hands accepting each other, not only as friends, but rivals.

"I haven't seen Red Hat act this way. Looks like Jaden actually lighten him up." Syrus said

"Wait, whats this all about Syrus?" asked Alexis

"Red Hat has been dueling Obelisk Blues ever since he first arrived here, but hes been dueling aggresivly and everytime he wins, he looks disappointed after the duel or angry since he won all those duels. He never lost any of them. heck I dont think he took any damage at all in those duels." Syrus explained

"The fact Jaden was able to not only lighten up Red Hat but to make him smile and start laughing like that is an acomplishment." Chumley stated.

"He's been doing all that since the start? Its no wonder most of the male Obelisk Blue students has a grudge against Red Hat. Honestly those guys are petty, but Red Hat really shouldnt be that aggresive. His actions don't justify it either." stated Alexis

Red Hat over heard them clearly not amused. "I just hate the Obelisks Blues, all talk and no bite. Not my fault they can't out predict my plays and keep calling themselves the best."

Alexis now glared at Red Hat. "Hey! That doesnt give you the right to act so hostile and aggresive to every singe Obelisk Blue student.. Not all Obelisk are like them, you're passing judgement way too soon. After that fiasco you pulled in class that day. Which may I remind you, you havent been going to class since that incident."

Red Hat just shrugged, not carring what Alexis was saying to him. "Im not really missing much, going to those boring classes. Only time I go if its Professor Banner's class mostly to return the favour or when there's a test, I go just to complete it."

All of them except Jaden were stunned to hear that from Red Hat. "Man you don't go to class. Wish I didn't have to go class. I just get bored going to class or just take a nap there ha ha. Wish we can duel in class instead."

Alexis just sighed at that "Jaden dont encourge him. Going to class just to fall asleep is one thing, but flat out not going is another matter all together."

"To be fair I don't really go to class myself most of the time. Ever since I started hanging out with Jaden and Syrus is where I started going to class more often."Chumley stated.

Syrus then spoke up "You dont go to class at all. Do you want to flunk out Red Hat?" Syrus asked compleing ignoring what he just said.

Red Hat just scoffed at that "I dont fail. I complete assignments and exams with no issue. I just dont like sitting through through pointless lectures"

"Look I dont care if you're that good at everything. You should at least go to class, even if you dont plan on doing anything. Its not gonna look good on your record. You're already branded a trouble maker by the most of the teachers." Alexis explained, trying to convince Red Hat to at least follow the rules and head to class, but to no avail.

"I don't really care. I dont need validation from people I dont care about in the first place. Also thats my problem I have to deal with if I do cause trouble for myself."

Alexis sighed at his response. 'There really is no convincing you isnt there?' "Well just try to not cause any trouble okay and at least make the effort to come. Even if you just go to fall asleep in class."

"No promises, I dont make promises I cant deliver." with that Red Hat walks off.

"Hey Red Hat, where are you going?" Jaden asked

"Im just gonna look around the Island for a while Jaden. Need to stretch my legs for bit. I'll be back in the evening so dont worry." Red Hat walks off leving the others behind.

Red Hat was walking aimlessly until he reached the beach. 'Guess this place isnt so bad after all. If I want a strong opponent to duel I can always duel Jaden. Seems like only he can give me a challenge at least for now.' As Red Hat was thinking he then noticed a bunch of Obelisk females arrive at the beach. 'I dont even want to know how bad these females dueling skills are. Quite frankly I dont really care. If they try to bug me Ill blast them away in a duel to shut them up.' Red Hat left the beach and decided to wonder off again aimlessly. Red Hat had to wonder though 'What is even the point of female students if they are automaticly placed in Obelisk regardless of skill. So you can treat the females like princesses? Pathetic.' Red Hat just shrugged his head that thought 'The male Obelisk arent even that good of duelist to begin with. If the females are automaticlly Obelisks that means there is no merit to this broken system what so ever. They think giving females special privlage and treatment will help influance for more females to come to duel academy. In actualality it only feeds their ego and entitlment even more where they are given everything with the least amount of effort. Female Obelisk are nothing more then a waste of space and time' Red Hat begrudgenly thought. Red Hat calmed down; even if he beat all the females including Alexis he wont feel like he actually acomplished anything.

Red Hat was considering heading for class if only just to stay with Jaden and his friends. 'Usually I dont bother going to class what so ever. Maybe if I hang around Jaden, I can maybe get either a quite chuckle or just groan at how laughable the classes are'

Fate always has itss twists and turns. That is something Red Hat will know in due time. Despite what Red Hat has been through, something tells him this is only the begining and things wont get much better then this at least for the time being.

A/N: There will be no ban list in this fic, well to be honest the anime never really had a ban list to speak of. Although to prevent the same cards for being used I'll be limiting what cards will be play. FTKs and OTKs will appear but dont expect too many of them as they arent fun to read and more so to mock certain duelists aka most obelisk blues from the anime standards.

Edit 2/20/2022: Looking back at this. This duel seems very forced. Dialoge is very unnatural to. The duel is also where I got carried away with the aime effect of E HERO Bubbleman effects even though I'm using only real card effects. Later on, in one anime duel that happens. I got very carried away to prove a point, but that was beating it, into the ground. I want to be as accurate to irl game but also Tag Force series. It's why I hate using terrible cards and anime cards. So it's why later on I'm changing thigs up.
