Formula for Success Remix
A/N: Normally I wouldnt write these in the beginning but I just wanted to mention this things get conplicated and i start getting questions. My work schedule has changed so Im given less time to write. That aside I was also having constant arguments with myself at a day to day basis on how should I continue this story as Im not doing the pointless fillers as theres nothing new I can add to those, as this fic is more meant to be like Tag Force then the anime under very specific curcumstances. Because Tag Force (theoreticly) takes place after a couple of weeks after the Titan and Paradox Brothers duels so at best you are getting refrences. I have my reasons why I wont be doing some episodes so dont get disapointed if I dont do them.
Monday
Time: 12pm
Red Hat was currently in PE class. Red Hat was never really fond of sports but he did enjoy long walks and occassional running. While he didnt participate in sports, usually out of obligation he would join in or just leave the class entirely as he would rather do his own work outs out in the open. Thats assuming Red Hat even bothers going out in the first place as he rarely does unless its to stetch his legs.
After thinking it over Red Hat decided to go to some classes... once every other week. Somtimes, more often then not he doesnt bother while staying away from Dr. Crowlers class. While he would love to humilate him again for his relative poor teaching skills; he rather not cause more trouble and risk running into brick walls. Red Hat more often then not would not participate in class as it was totally unesessary. Despite that, unlike Jaden he didnt sleep in class as if Red Hat wanted to sleep he go back to the dorm and take a nap or sleep in and not care about class at all. This was especially the case if it was Dr. Crowlers class.
Red Hat was now watching Jaden and the others playing a baseball game with Slifer Red vs Ra Yellows. 'Whats even the point of this. I get its to get students in shape, but there are other ways you can do this. Still rather be here then in those boring lectures.' Red Hat was actually here just to watch Jaden play. While he would participate something tells him something is about to happen soon. 'Well at least some are having fun. Maybe Id join them to play as well if I really cared. I should lighten up a bit more if Jaden can have fun why cant I?' Red Hat thought.
"Jay keep your eye on the ball." Syrus said.
"Thats gonna be tough after all, the ball's gonna be going over the rafters and then we'll have a 6-run lead." Jaden grins
Red Hat was amused by Jadens enthusiasim. 'Maybe I should have joined. This would have been fun.' as soon as Red Hat said that someone interrupted his thoughts.
"Hold on! Time out!" everyone including Red Hat were looking at the entrance and they saw Basition running in. Red Hat raised an eyebrow at that scene. 'Where have you been? As far as Im aware you are never late for class let alone PE. Then again Im one to talk as I usually never attend' while Red Hat was with his thoughts Bastion came in and said "Sorry I was deep into some Attack Quantum Mechanics and lost track of time."
"Can you throw?" a Ra asks.
"Sure" Bastion nods and takes over as the new pitcher.
"Well we need a freah arm. Pitcher change." They announced as Bastion grabbed a glove and made his way onto the field. Red Hat now looking at the field with a curiosity. 'This should be an interesting match up. Lets see how this goes.' he thought and was about to watch the scene that is about to happen
"This isnt a written exam Bastion. I hope you know what your doing." Jaden said
"Trust me I've done all the calculations, now get ready for some heat Jaden. Because this one has some bite!" Bastion said throwing the ball and just like that Jaden struck out three times.
"Nuts" Jaden groans
Red Hat couldnt help but be amused. 'Well that was amusing. Bastion scored an out against Jaden. Well this should dure be interesting.'
Soon it was the Ras up to bat and Jaden was on pitcher and Syrus was the catcher. Red Hat has been spactating the game for a while. 'Jaden doesnt play this reckless or allow free base. What is he even doing? Not that it matters to me much though.' he thought.
"Ball 4 take your base" the umpire said.
"Time." syrus said as he walked over to Jaden. "Jaden whats going on? You got two outs and now you walked the last three batters."
"Pretty slick huh?" Jaden smiles.
"Slick?" They all said confused. Red Hat was just baffled by that. 'What do you mean by that Jaden?'
"Yeah, how else would I get the chance to pitch Bastion?" Jaden asks.
"What? You walked all those guys just so you could get even with Bastion?" Syurs asked shocked. Red Hat was now amused by that. 'You want to get even eh? If only you do that more often when you duel me. Its only fun when I duel you Jaden' Red Hat tought amused at the situation.
"No, I wanted to get ahead. You hear that Bastion, you're going down!" Jaden declares.
"Down the baseline perhaps. Now give me your best Jaden, I dont want any excuses when I wallop it right out of the ballpark." Bastion said taking his position.
"Game On!" Jaden said with Fire in his eyes.
"Game Over, soon." Bastion smirks.
"Now heres some bite!" Jaden yells as he pitches.
Nearby Dr. Crowler was walking to his class, while muttering to himself about his next sceeams. "The Paradox brothers couldnt beat Jaden, Chazz couldnt beat Jaden, that boy in the Red Hat has been making a mockery out me and many of the Obelisk Blues since he got here. I wont stand for this. I need someone to beat-" Crowler never got to finish as a baseball hits him right in the eye.
"Uh heads up." Jaden said as he and Syrus ran over only to see the ball was still on Crowlers eye.
"Of course it was you! Who else would cause me such intense pain!?" Crowler yells. Red Hat went to where all the comotion was only to hide behind one of the walls. 'Seriously out of all the rotten luck. Its best I dont get involved.' Red Hat thought as he hid nearby.
"Now thats keeping your eye on the ball." Syurs said impressed at the scene.
"Sorry it was-"
"My fault! I was the one who hit the ball." Bastion said running over.
"Bastion? Of course here I was struggling to find a new accompice and it smacks me right in the face. Well the eye, but thats besides the point." Crowler said.
"Dr. Crowler, please accept my apologies." Bastion said.
"Oh no, no, no, no. Ive been meaning to have my contacts fitted for ages and now I have a perfect excuse. And a perfect protege." Crowler whispers that last part turning around to see Jaden and Syrs trying to listen in. "Alright you two, you've caused enough trouble now go on! Shoo!"
"Alright, but that was a foul Bastion." Jaden said running off.
Red Hat was not amused by this. 'Pathetic, If it was anyone else you be angry and trying to come up ways to give trouble. Especially if it was me or Jaden. Then you wonder why I have no respect for the staff or teachers; especially you Crowler.' Red Hat mentally sneered. 'Im pretty sure I know what your trying to do but Ill listen in anyway.'
Crowler takes the baseball off his face to reveal a black eye. "Never mind those Slifer Slackers its time you started consorting with those more your class. Its time you started consorting with me." Crowler grins.
Red Hat mentally face palmed at what he heard. 'So thats what your trying to do. Now I know where the Obelisk get their mentality from and they continue it. You allow that behavior, all you think your all hot stuff. In reality you are all spineless cowards. So long as me and Jaden are here; your and the academy's mentality is flawed and incrediably closed minded. Thats the mentality of a fool. God forbid someone at Slifer Red is the best duelist. Ill make sure to stay at Slifer Red to further annoy you and the staff.' Red Hat sneered, but kept his composure and kept on listening.
Theres one thing though that caught Red Hats attention when he overheard Crowler. 'A duel between Chazz Princton and Bastion tomarrow. Interesting, though something tells me theres gonna be trouble. Obelisks Blues are so entilted they do anything to win even if it means sabotage and cheating. Best I keep an eye on things.'
Red Hat leaves the court with Crowler completely oblivious to the fact Red Hat heard everything.
Time: 1:30PM
Meanwhile in the classroom a certain someone was walking to his seat. Unknown to them Red Hat was listening in just besides the door watching everthing and looking around.
"Yo foot rub, Iced tea, now." Chazz smirks.
"Get it yourself." An random Obelisk said getting Chazz attention.
"What did you say?" Chazz snapped.
"Doesnt he know?"
"Guess not."
Red Hat meanwhile was watching the whole affair. 'So thats Chazz huh. Only other Obelisk scum I havent fought yet. A prick is all he is right now.'
"Hey Chazz where do you think you're sitting?" he asks
"My seat." Chazz said
"Sorry but thats not your seat anymore. Now Move" the Obelisk said.
"What are you talking about? It says so right here" Chazz looks expecting a name tag but gasps to see it was gone.
"Sorry but you were moved all the way over there." He points to the lower seats near the Slifer Red and Ra Yellow areas.
"No Way! This is all wrong! I dont belong over there with those losers! Dr. Crowler tell them this is a mistake! Tell them I belong up here!" Chazz said as Dr. Crowler walked in
"But you dont Chazz and you havent ever since you lost that one duel to oh who was it? Ah right I remember Jaden Yuki, A SLIFER!" Crowler slams his desk as he continues. "Which is why tomarrow you will be dueling Bastion Misawa and if you lose to him then the two of you will be switching dorms." Crowler explained shocking Chazz.
"Hold on you mean... I become a Ra Yellow duelist?" Chazz said clearly angry at his predicament.
Red Hat couldnt help but smirk at what he was listening to. 'You lost to Jaden. In other words you are a terrible duelist. The fact Crowler still has a grudge on Jaden for what ever reason other then his hatred to Slifer Reds is the cherry on top of that. Im well aware you are petty enough to sabotaje the duel or cheat in order to get your way.' Red Hat though as he was well aware Chazz or an any Obelisk Blue was petty enough to do such stunts.
"Very good, now if only you could duel as well as you listen." Crowler stated as everyone else in the class including the Ras and Slifers started laughing at Chazz as he stormed out of the room completely unaware Red Hat was watching and hearing the entire fiasco.
"I WONT BE A RA!" Chazz declared.
Red Hat just shook his head and left the area as not to attract attention. 'Petty and spoiled why am I not surprised.' with that Red Hat takes his leave and exists the main building.
Time 4pm
After Red Hat left the main bulding with a sour mood after the last couple of hours. He was able to catch up to Jaden Syrus and Bastion. "Oh hey Jaden Syrus and Bastion" he greeted.
"Oh hey Red Hat where have you been you kind left the court in a hurry was wondering if you were gonna join." Jaden said
Red Hat slightly chuckled a bit. "I hade some issues I had to take of. Nothing to worry about. Funny I was considering join you during the game but I chosed not to. Shame too it was getting interestimg." Red Hat told them. 'The real reason because after what Crowler said a while ago theres gonna be trouble with Chazz'
"Say Red Hat, how come you never participate in any activites. I get why you dont go class but I dont see why you have to skip out on PE class too." Syrus asked
"I simplely just dont go to class unless really nescessary such as when theres a test. PE I attend when I feel like usually I only attend if it means I get to play with Jaden by my side" Red Hat explained to them.
"Speaking of tests, you never seem to go class yet you score a perfect score on not only the written exam but also the field test. I would like to know where you got your knowlage and why you decide to continue at Slifer Red. Nothing wrong with your choice just curious is all." Bastion asked Red Hat curious on how Red Hat does things.
"To answer your first question, I self taught myself since I was a kid. I never did trust school and I had to learn how to duel at a young age but with a cost which I will not go into." Red Hat answered Bastion while leaving out mostly everything on what he experianced. "As for why I stay in Slifer Red, I dont care about rank. Rank doesnt make a duelist this especially true with the females even though I have yet to duel any. So many spoiled people in the Obelisk Blues its not even funny. The ranking system in this Academy is so flawed its laughable. God forbid someone at Slifer Red is actually amazing he just prefers to stay there or not move up because lack of interest. In other word, Thats me and Jaden" Red Hat explained. Both Syrus and Bastion were stunned with his explaination, while Jaden was just smiling at Red Hat.
"Well when you put it like that everyone has there prefrences. Its not everyday someone who has so much knowlage and dueling skill with such a mentality. Its a bit much flat out not go to class, but considering Jaden tends to sleep in class I shouldnt be surprised. I find it rather interesting." Bastion said completely ignoring some things Red Hat said.
"Seriously you self taught youself. Despite not going to class and causing a rukus your still doing so well." Syrus was stunned at Red Hat explaination.
"Well all that matters, Red Hat your awsome both dueling and ignoring class. Man If only I didnt have to go class and just duel all day. Now that would be sweet. Jaden declared. Bastion and Syurs just sweat dropped at that, while Red Hat just chuckled.
"Well anyway Im heading back to the dorm to get some things done." Red Hat said.
"Say Red Hat, Bastion is taking us to the Ra Dorm. Not sure why but do you want to tag along?" Jaden asked.
"Sorry Jaden, I have some matters I need to take care of. Ill drop by later if all of you are still there." Red Hat said
"Well whatever it is do hurry up as we arent sure how long we'll be over there."
"Dont worry Jaden, it wont take long." Red Hat says before leaving the group of three behind and headed back to his room.
Red Hat was now curently sitting near his deck thinking about what figured out during that time. 'Im sure Chazz is gonna try sabotaging the duel or cheating to get his way. Obelisk scum are willing to do anything just to stay at the top. Thats all that matters to them, believing they are the top where in reality they are more worthless then garbage.'
While Red Hat was thinking he decided to pull out one of his decks. The deck he chosed was a deck focused on Magical Scientist. 'You dont deserve to lose honorably Chazz. Whatever your trying to pull, Ill be there to humiliate you with this deck. Scratch that all of you Obelisk deserve to be humiated by me. You get no mercy from me.' Red Hat thought. He slapped himself in trying to calm down. 'Cant be reckless, Well may as well head to the Ra Dorm where Jaden is. Assuming he still over there.' Red Hat takes one of decks and leaves his room after cleaning up, and started to head to the Ra Dorm.
After some time walking Red Hat made it and went inside the Ra Dorm. Red Hat decided to wonder for a bit until he found Bastion Jaden and Syrus at the cafeteria.
"I thought you'd be here. Anyway Jaden what did you and Syrus come here for anyway since Im pretty sure its not just to dig in to Ra Yellow food" Red Hat asked as he approached them and took a seat.
"Oh we came here to help Bastion paint his room. I dont think I've ever had such a time time of paiting." Jaden said as he shoved a piece of fish into his mouth.
"Is that so? For what reason though?" Red Hat asked
"Well now you see, Ive been writing formulas in my room mostly the walls and well Ive been running out of space so I asked Jaden and Syrus to help me paint my room. Though it did lead to some questionable affair." Bastion Explained
"Do tell, well thats a nice pass time you got Bastion." Red Hat said. Bastion then gets up and wlks off to get more food.
"Red Hat what do you during your pass time anyway?" Syrus asked
"I mostly sleep in, deck building a bunch of decks, dueling, the works. Why all these questions about me?" Red Hat asked Syrus
"Well you always have a laid back attitude. You never worry even when you cause trouble. So much so you never attend class besides one day of the week or if you do, you're never afraid to speak your mind. In fact you're very aggressive."
"Thats because I dont really care. I had to put up with so much as a kid. I never allow anyone to push me around, to me what I do isnt a problem. I dont sugar coat the truth and I never will. Which is why I dont go to class they're so laughably lame its not even funny. Im aggressive because I show no mercy or weakness to anyone." Red Hat said holding back his anger.
"Yeah class is really boring and dull. Class would be way better if we can duel." Jaden declared.
"I do find your mentality questionable Red Hat, but since you have mentioned you had it rough even before coming to the Academy I wont judge you." Bastion said as he brought own tray over to sit down. "Still its rather impressive you spend so much time deck building. Having many different decks helps make you unpredictable, as your opponent wouldnt be able to respond acordinly."
Red Hat raised an eye brow at that. 'Uh Bastion thats the point. Being as unprediable as possible while also preventing your opponent from making plays by destroying and negating their cards.' "Well you flatter me I have so many decks and cards I keep safe. That aside what were you talking to Crowler about eariler to day?" Red Hat already knew what they were talking about, but asked any way as Jaden and Syrus are curious.
"I was just about to ask that, what were you talking to Crowler about back a the game?" Syrus asked.
"Actually, he wants me to test to become an Obelisk." Bastion answered.
"Are you serious?" Jaden asked
"Is that why you were cleaning up your room?" Syrus asked
"Cause you're switching dorms?"
Red Hat was well aware of that but decided not to speak up. 'Crowlers main reason is just so he could use Bastion to turn on Jaden and I. That spineless coward is willing to do whatever it takes to get away with his schemes.'
"Well you deserve it, congrats Bastion." Jaden smiled
"Again you flatter me." Bastion said, trying to endure the praise.
"You're good. I saw your duel during the entrance exams." Jaden said. referring to the mentioned duel Bastion had.
"Mind explaining Jaden since I never took the main entrance exam." Red Hat asked curious on what happened.
"Sure thing Red Hat. Well Bastion duel went on like this" Jaden began to explain...
Flashback
On the field in front of the Proctor were two defensive monsters, Gear Golem the Moving Fortress (ATK: 800 Def: 2200) and Big Sheild Gardna (Atk: 100 Def: 2600). On Bastions field was Vorse Raider and he had a Facedown.
Bastion revealed his facedown; the trap Ring of Destruction. A metal ring with grenades appeared and attached itself around Vorse Raider's neck. The ring exploded and destryed the monster, both players took burn damage equal to its attack points
Bastion: 3200 - 1300
Proctor: 1900 - 0
Flashback end
"Huh interesting way to win. Sometimes I do that as well when I didnt have damage to finish off my opponent." Red Hat said, though was confused by something. 'How did both of them get LP that low though? Considering no one plays cards Solemn and burn decks arent exacly popular plus the guy, Bastion was dueling was stalling. Guess Ill never know.'
"No kidding point is, Bastion really kicked that duel proctor's butt. You'll totally pass Crowler's test and be an Obelisk Blue. And we can say we knew you well." Both Jaden and Syrus said the last part.
"Well thank you."
"You're welcome. Now if you excuse me..." As Jaden and Syrus dug into their respective meals, Bastion just looked at them with a sad smile on his face. Red Hat just looked at Jaden and Syrus with amussment.
Time: 8pm
Meanwwhile in the Obelisk Blue Boys' dorm, Chazz was sitting on the couch in his room, talking with two men shown on the television screen in front of him. Both wore suits and ties and had a stern look on their faces. The one one the left had brown hair, while the other had black hair and a little goatee. Those two happened to be his older brothers, Slade and Jagger. "Got it Chazz?" Slade asked.
"Yeah." he replied unenthusiastically.
"I cant hear you."
"I said yes I understand."
"Well you had better. The Princenton Brothers have a plan. Your brother and I are following through our ends of it."
Jagger spoke up. "And you had better be following though with yours Chazz. Come on, just think of it little bro. The world of politic, finance and duel monsers. If we control them all, then we will control the entire world. So be the best. The future of the Princeton family depends on it. It depends on you." The screen then shut off aburptly.
'Be the best?' Chazz thought to himself. He got up and looked through the window. In the distance he could see Jaden and Syrus. 'How can I be the best with lucky punks like those guys out there?' He then saw Bastion walk up to them and Red Hat before all four of them took off down the path that led to the Slifer Red dorm. 'What is this Bastion's heading pff to the Slifer dorm for the night. Then his dorm will be all empty.' That gave Chazz an idea, however there was someone he saw that he couldnt ignore. 'That guy in the Red Hat, rumors spread saying hes been terrorizing the Obelisk Blues and making a mockery of the teachers and staff. Tch, probably just rumors like that punk can beat every single Obelisk Blue and not get in trouble. I wont lose to a loser like him.' Chazz thought. Only hes gonna get a rude awakening soon.
Meanwhile, at the Slifer Red dorm, Jaden and Bastion were sound asleep in Jaden, Syrus, and Chumleys's room. Since there were no spare mattress and the three bed bunks couldn't accommodate four guys, Jaden pulled his mattress onto the floor and he and Bastion were sleeping on it. Both of them were snoring right now, as Chumley, Syrus, and Red Hat looked down at them.
"Hey Sy, whats's that Ra doing here?" Chumley asked.
"He painted his room today." Syrus explained. "So we let him crash here."
"But syrus hes a Ra Yellow. what if he wakes up and wants to duel on of us, or make fun of one of us? How do you know we can trust him?" Chumley asked. Red Hat raised an eye brow at the first part 'Thats a problem why? Are you guys that scared of dueling you prefer hiding over dueling or in my case fight back.' Red Hat thought.
"Relax Chumley, he's cool. We can trust him, he let us eat at the Ra meal hall. Even Red Hat trust Bastion, and you him Chumley he almost gives his trust to anyone"
"Its true if it wasnt for Jaden and to some extent Syrus, I wouldnt consider Bastion as a friend let alone trust him. Bastion pretty cool to hang around with." Red Hat explained
"Wow even you trust him huh Red Hat. Thats something I didnt expect."
"Well then Im off to bed so Ill see you guys tomorrow." with Red Hat leaves their room and heads back to his own. 'I have something else in mind planned lets just hope this works.' Red Hat sets up an alarm for 4am in the morning. With that in place Red Hat difts to sleep.
Tuesday
Time: 4am
Red Hats alarm started blaring, but he instantly turn it off as he didnt want to alert the others. Red Hat got out bed not even bothering to change clothes and slept with his uniform and well his Red Hat. 'Time to take that dog down once and for all' Red Hat though as he grabbed his duel disk and deck and started running of to the docks. 'I just hope its not to late something tells me Chazz is gonna do something.'
When Red Hat arrived at the docks Chazz was already there tossing something into the waterr. Red Hat was able to see clearly they were cards. Red Hat was now infuriated.
"Theres not gonna be any duel if Bastion doesnt have a deck, he might even get kicked out." Chazz grins
As Chazz was about to leave he was stopped by Red Hat. "The fact your were willing to stoop this low just so you can have an advantage in your duel disgust me. Scum like you belong at the bottom of the barrel." Chazz turned around to see Red Hat confronting him.
"Your that kid in the red hat, rumor has it you been terrorizing the Obelisk Blues." Chazz said
Red Hat just smirked "So my reputation has spread huh, not that it matters. Time to put a dog in his place."
"You dont scare me you loser. Ill do whatever it takes to be the best. I deserve to be the best at this Academy." Chazz scoffed at Red Hat threat and challenage.
"You're that petty you throw away someones deck just so you can have a chance. Your scum just like the rest of the Obelisk Blues. You are just a spoiled Rich kid like the rest willing to pull stunts like this when things dont go your way. You're a failure and always will be Chazz." Red Hat held back from yelling or attacking Chazz right there in there.
Chazz was now very pissed at Red Hat. "Thats it! No one talks to be like that! If you think you're so tough, then bring it on!" He challenged Red Hat as he revealed his duel disk.
Red Hat readied his duel disk and was smirking. "You're getting put down like the dog you are!"
DUEL
Red Hat: 8000 LP
Chazz: 8000 LP
"Ill start this duel off then, I Draw!" Red Hat said
Hand 6
"Go ahead like I care, your about to get thrashed by me" Chazz declared
"Your gonna regret ever saying that Chazz, I play Card Destruction, we toss out our hands and redraw the same number of cards from our decks." As they redrew Red Hat now smirked at what he drew. 'Everything is all set up time to humiliate you Chazz.'
"What are you smiling about hurry up and make your turn." Chazz was getting impaticent
"You want to meet your demise fine by me. I play Monster Reborn to bring back the monster I discarded. Come back Cataplult Turutle! (Atk: 1000 Def: 2000 LV6) Now I summon Magical Scientist in attack mode (Atk: 200 Def: 100) Now I activate his effect I pay 1000 LP to special summon a Lvl 6 or lower fusion monster but it can not attack directly and is destroyed at the end phase, but thats not the point. Ill pay 3000 LP to summon 3 Crimson Sunbird! (Atk: 2300 Def: 1800)"
Red Hat: 8000 - 5000 LP
"Okay what are you up to?" Chazz asked perplexed at Red Hats play.
"Now I activate Catapult Turtles effect I tribute a monster a monster to burn your LP equal to half its attack points. Ill tribute all 3 Crimson Sunbird to damage you!" All three birds were launched by Catapult turtles launcher hitting Chazz head on
Chazz: 8000 - 6850 - 5700 - 4550 LP
"Why you, you'll pay for that!" Chazz sneered
Red Hat scofted at him. "Who says Im done. I pay another 3000 LP so Magical Scientist can summon 3 more Fusion monsters. Come out Aqua Dragon! (Atk: 2250 Def: 1900)"
Red Hat: 5000 - 2000 LP
"Now I activate Catapult Turtles effect once more I tribute the three Aqua Dragons to burn your LP equal to half its attack points" All three Aqua Dragons were launched one by one with Catapult Turtle hitting Chazz dead on.
Chazz: 4550 - 3425 - 2300 - 1175 LP
"Grr, you're still going?" Chazz asked clearly not liking where this is going.
Red Hat just smirked. "No of course not! I pay another 1000 LP to summon another lvl 6 Fusion monster. So come on out Bracchio-Raidus! (Atk: 2200 Def: 200)"
Red Hat: 2000 - 1000 LP
"Catapult Turtles effect activates once more to burn you LP equal to half of Bracchio attack points!" The blue dinosaur got on the laucher and was lauched directy at Chazz.
Chazz: 1175 - 75 LP
"Dont think Im done. Now I tribute Magical Scientist to burn your the last of your LP Chazz. This duel is over!" Magical Scientist got on the Catapult and was lauched at Chazz punching him in the process.
Chazz: 75 - 0 LP
"No! I lost to a Slifer Slacker in 1 turn. I didnt even get a turn!" Chazz sneered clearly mad at what just happened.
"Thats whats called a First Turn Kill or FTK! A Dog like you deserves to be put down and put in its place. Like the rest of you spoiled Obelisk scum, you dont deserve to lose with honor. You get what you deserve!" Red Hat yelled at Chazz angry he even had to go through with this whole afair
Chazz growled and stood up. "AGH, I wont stand for this! I wont be humilated like this! Even less to the likes of you! No Matter the dead is already done. Without his deck, your nerdy friend won't be able to duel me." Red Hat watched as Chazz ran off.
Red Hat was not amused by this. 'You are a coward and a patheic excuse of a duelist. No matter, Im out of here.' Red Hat went back to his dorm to get some rest. What he didnt know however, was that Alexis was standing nearby and whitnessed the whole affair.
'Is that how you really see all of us in blue Red Hat?' Alexis sighed at this whole affair. 'Guess theres really only a few people that can warm you up Red Hat. You're a powerful duelist, but you shouldnt take your anger out on the Obelisk Blues.' with that Alexis left the docks.
Time: 10am
Later in the moring, Jaden Syrus and Bastion were awoken by the sound of someone pounding on the door. "Jaden! Jaden, wake up!"
Jaden got up and opened the door, revealing the card shop owner, Dorothy. "What is it Ms. Dorthy?"
"I was at the docks unloading some goods near the shore, then I saw them... cards tossed everywhere!"
"Tossed!?" The three boys gasped at this and took in the direction she'd told them. Meanwhile Red Hat just watched in the distance. 'I already know, but you guys will figure it out soon doesnt take a genius to figure it out.' Red Hat took off to the Duel Arena.
When Jaden, Syrus, and Bastion arrived, they found Dorthy's claims were correct, a bunch of cards were scattered among the water.
"That's Ring of Destruction!" Jaden pointed to the named trap card.
"And Vorse Raider!" Syrus saw the monster card.
"Bastion, these are all of your cards." Jaden identified.
"It's my own falt." Bsation started to explain. "This deck was in the desk I moved to the hallway yesterday when we were painting."
"Who would do something like this?" Syrus wondered in disbelief.
"Someone who doesnt want you to advance to Obelisk Blue thats who." Jaden declared "I mean this was your deck and its totally ruined. Oh man what are you gonna do now Bastion? Your propmotion exam is in less then hour."
As all three of arrived at the main dueling arena, where Crowler and Chazz were waiting. "Bastion, you made it." Crowler greeted him. When he noticed Jaden and Syrus, he frowned. Oh, and I see you brought some friends." He then noticed Red Hat appeared just behind them. 'Oh great him again I wont let him make a mockery out of me!' Crowler sneered but kept his composure. Chazz was oblivous to Red Hats pressance.
"I hope you duel better then the company you keep." Chazz smirked.
"So you're the one who tossed my cards into the ocean." Bastion said
"Pardon?" Crowler asked
"I dont know what hes talking about Dr. Crowler, I didnt do a thing." Chazz denied.
"Oh, is that so?" They all turned to see Alexis and Zane standing in the entrance. "I saw you Chazz, this morning, you dumped them in the water." Alexis said. "I normally wouldn't snitch, but you don't mess with someone's deck."
"Thats low, even for you Chazz." Jaden said
"Who's to say I wasn't throwing away my own cards?" Chazz said, still lying. "I guess Bastion and I, just have similar decks, thats all."
"Chazz! You Lier." Jaden tried to argue.
"No one calls me a lier and no one calls me a thief!" Chazz snapps. "Dr. Crowler how's this, the loser of this duel gets expelled!" Chazz suggested
"No way! Without his cards Bastion decks is-" Jaden didnt get to finish.
"I accept those conditions!" Bastion said "A good duelist always keeps a spare deck."
"What?" Jaden was bewhildered
"Bastion?" Syrus was equally clueless
"The deck he threw in the water was a practice deck." Bastion explained. "This is my real deck." Bastion unzipped his yellow jacket. He opened up his jacket, revealing six pouches each containing a deck of duel cards in it. "Look at my six decks and each one is as power as the next! Wind Symbolizing Speed. Water Symbolizing Calmness. Fire Symbolizing aggression. Earth Symbolizing Stoicity. Dark and I shine light into the shadows!"
Chazz grimaced, as he saw from keeping Bastion from taking the exam had failed. "What? Six Decks? You think that scares me! Ill burn you with Fire!"
Bastion was now confidant "Heh, Chazz, prepare to lose."
Red Hat only smirked "How did it feel to lose on the very first turn Chazz." The others except Alexis and Zane turn to him.
"SHUT UP! That duel never happened! Once I'm done with Bastion, your going down Red Hat!" Chazz was now infuriated.

"Im gonna enjoy this, my turn. I draw!" Bastion draws.

"Ill set a monster facedown, then Ill set 2 cards facedown. That ends my turn" Bastion ends his turn.

"Is that all lame. My turn, I draw." Chazz retorted as he drew his card.
Hand 6
"Heres Y - Dragon Head in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 Def: 1600) Y - Dragon Head attacks your facedown monster!" Chazz anounced.
"Go trap card Magic Cylinder, your attack is negated and you take damage equal to your monsters attack." Bastion said. The blast was absorbed by one of the cylinders and the other fired the blast directly at Chazz.
Chazz: 8000 - 6500 LP
"That all you got. Ill set one card facedown and end my turn. Your move." Chazz ends his turn.

Red Hat raised an eye brow at this sort of play. 'Is this really it? Unless they both bricked, Im not impressed. Can't complain though, as I dont even know what they are playing.' Red Hat thought.
"Bastion got the first hit" Jaden pointed out.
"Keep at it Bastion!" Syrus cheered.
Bastion continued. "Well then Its my turn. I draw." Bastion draws.

"I'll set another monster facedown. Now I activate the continuous spell Heart of the Underdog. Now with this spell card everytime I draw a normal monster during my draw phase I get to draw again and again until I dont draw a normal monster. Now I set two cards facedown and end my turn. Your turn Chazz." Bastion ends his turn.

"Here I go its my turn. I draw." Chazz draws.

"I summon W - Wing Catipult in attack mode. (Atk: 1300 Def: 1500) Battle, W - Wing Catipult attack his facedown monster." As the machine catipult attacked the facedown monster it was revealved to be Alpha the Magnet Warrior (Atk: 1400 Def: 1700).
Chazz: 6500 - 6100 LP
"Why you, Y - Dragon Head attack his other facedown monster" As it attacked the monster was revealed to be another Alpha the Magnet Warrior (Atk: 1400 Def: 1700). Chazz takes more damage.
Chazz: 6100 - 5900 LP
"Grr Ill get you for this. I end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Red Hat couldnt help but start chuckling. 'Wow talk about all talk and no bite. You have yet to make an interesting play Chazz.' Red Hat thought
"Bastion has taken the lead!" Jaden cheered.
"Yeah and Chazz is taking damage little by little." Syrus pointed out.
"Im enjoying this. My turn, I draw." Bastion draws.

"I did not draw a normal monster. I switch one of my Alpha the Magent Warriors to attack mode (Atk: 1400 Def:1700) Alpha attack his W - wing Catipult." Alpha the Magnet Warrior charged in and attacked the machine.
Chazz: 5900 - 5800 LP
"Nothing else I can do so Ill end my turn." Bastion ends his turn.

"Its my turn, I draw." Chazz draws.

"Battle, Y - Dragon Head attack Alpha the Magnet Warrior thats in attack mode." The monster fired a charged lazer at Alpha the Magnet Warrior, destroying it.

"Ill set a monster facedown and Ill end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Red Hat was still not impressed. 'This is so slow, So far its not much going on, but lets keep watching.'
"If thats all then its my turn. I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 2
"I drew Gemini Elf so I get to draw again, I did not draw a normal monster. Ill now summon Gemini Elf in attack mode (Atk: 1900 Def: 900). I switch Alpha to attack mode. Battle, Alpha attack his facedown monster." Alpha attacked the facedown monster only to reveal V - Tiger Jet (Atk: 1600 Def: 1800). Alpha attacked only to be bounced off, as Bastion took damage.
Bastion: 7900 - 7500 LP
"I may have made a mistake, but no matter, Gemini Elf attack Chazz Y - Dragon Head." Both Elves charged in and destroyed Y - Dragon Head.
Chaz: 5800 - 5400 LP
"I got nothing else so Ill end my turn." Bastion ends his turn.

"Its my turn I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 5
"I activate the equip spell Premature Burial. I pay 800 LP to special summon a monster from my graveyard. So come back Y - Dragon Head! ( Atk: 1500 Def: 1600)"
Chazz: 5400 - 4600 LP
"Battle, Y - Dragon Head attack Alpha the Magnet Warrior." Y - Dragon Head charged up and fired a lazer blast destroying Alpha the Magnet Warrior.
Bastion: 7500 - 7400 LP
"I set a monster facedown then Ill play the Spell Swords of Revealing Light. Now for the next three turns you cant attack my monsters. That ends my turn your move." Chazz said as pillers of light that resembles holy swords were placed onto Bastions field preventing him from attacking.
Hand 2
Red Hat continued to watch the duel looking completely bored. 'So far so little is happening. Now Chazz is stalling hes trying to summon either XYZ - Dragon Cannon or VWXYZ - Dragon Catipult Cannon. Those machine fusions though arent very good or worth building a deck around.' he thought.
"Man now Bastion cant attack for three whole turns." Jaden said.
"And its only gonna get worse now Chazz will be able to summon his monsters without interruption." Alexis pointed out.
"This is quite the predicement. My turn I draw." Bastion draws.
Hand 3
"I drew Sabersarus so I can draw again, I drew Insect Knight so I get to draw again, I drew another Sabersarus so thats another draw for me. I did not drew a monster this turn. Ill summon Insect Knight in attack mode (Atk: 1900 Def: 1500). Since I cant attack because of Swords of Revealing Light, Ill end my turn." Bastion ends his turn.
Hand 5
"Is that all whatever, Its my turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 3
"I set a monster facedown, Then Ill flip over my set monster Z - Metal Tank (Atk: 1500 Def: 1300). Now I equip Z - Metal Tank onto Y - Dragon Head. This gives it an extra 600 attack and defense points! (Atk: 2100 Def: 2200) Battle, Y - Dragon Head destroy his Insect Knight!"
Bastion: 7400 - 7200 LP
"Now I play the quick play Spell, Combination Attack, this spells splits my union monster into two monsters, so come on back to the field Z - Metal Tank. They can attack again but I cant do that, but thats not the point. Its so you dont try any funny buisness. I end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

"No kidding Chazz did that so in case Bastion were to destroy his monster in other way." Alexis mentioned
Red Hat just raised an eye brow. 'But why though? I find that pointless and a waste of space.'
"Well then its my turn, I draw." Bastion draws.

"I drew Beta the Magnet Warrior so I get to draw, I drew another Beta so I get to draw again, I drew Gamma the Magnet Warrior so thats another draw, I did not draw another normal monster so thats it. I activate my facedown Call of the Haunted to bring back my Insect Knight in attack mode (Atk: 1900 Def: 1500). Ill set a monster facedown and that ends my turn. Since I exceed the limit I discard two cards." Bastion discards Pot of Averice and Spiritual Earth Arts Kuragane.
Hand 6
"Is that all you got, I call that pathetic My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 2
"I banish Y - Dragon Head and Z - Metal Tank to summon this YZ - Tank Dragon in attack mode (Atk: 2100 Def: 2200). Now I activate my monsters effect, By ditching a card I can destroy a facedown monster so that monster goes bye bye." The tank dragon fired a lazer from its cannons and destroyed Bastion's facedown monster.
Red Hat just sighed. 'Is that all? Its effect is underwelming.' Red Hat thought.
"Now I flip my facedown monster another V - Tiger Jet (Atk: 1600 Def: 1800). Battle, YZ - Tank Dragon attack his Insect Knight." The tank dragon fired a powerful blast destroying Insect Knight again.
Bastion: 7200 - 7000 LP
"Now heres W - Wing Catipult, but he wont be staying on the field for long because I banish it and V - Tiger Jet to summon VW - Tiger Catipult (Atk: 2000 Def: 2100). With that I end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.
Hand 0
"Man Chazz already has one of his monsters fusions out. He just needs the others to summon it." Jaden said as he was reminded when he dueled Chazz.
Red Hat however was not impressed. 'Chazz hand is empty and has two underwhelming monsters on the field. Removal and Chazz will be in a tight spot.'
"I see what your trying to do Chazz. Its not going to work. My turn, I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 7
"I activate the Spell Card Lightning Vortex by discarding one card all face up monsters you control are destroyed!" A powerful Lightning strike destroyed both of Chazz's machines monsters.
"Why you! You'll pay for that!" Chazz growled.
"Nice going Bastion!" Jaden cheered.
Red Hat was now smirking 'Nice going Bastion, removal is the best way to give rid of his lack cluster monsters.'
"Now I summon Beta the Magnet Warrior in attack mode (Atk: 1700 Def: 1600). I set a card facedown then I activate one of my facedowns Back Up Soldier with this I add back Alpha and Gamma the Magent warrior and with that I end my turn. Your move, what are you gonna do now Chazz?" Bastion ends his turn.

"Dont get cocky you! Its my turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 1
"I summon X - Head Cannon in attack mode (Atk: 1800 Def: 1500). Now I activate the trap card Return from the Different Dimension! I pay half my LP to return my baninished monsters back to my field. So come back Y - Dragon Head, Z - Metal Tank, V - Tiger Jet, and W - Wing Catipult!" a portal from above then all of Chazz's banished machine monsters returns on to the field.
Chazz: 4600 - 2300 LP
"Awe man not good Chazz got back all his monsters." Syrus said
"And its about to get worse Chazz can now combine them to summon his most powerful monster." Jaden reminded them.
Red Hat meanwhile was not worried in the slightest.
"Ah ha ha ha. If you think this is impressive just watch this, I banish X Head Cannon, Y Dragon Head, and Z Metal Tank to summon XYZ - Dragon Cannon. Now I banish V Tiger Jet and W Wing Catipult to resummon VW - Tiger Catipult. Now I Banish VW - Tiger Catipult and XYZ - Dragon Cannon to summon VWXYZ - Dragon Catipult Cannon! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2800)" Both machines broke apart and merged together to form a giant humanoid machine.
"Chazz's strongest monster is out. Unless Bastion has a plan he's in a tight spot." Zane pointed out the situation "Although, if Bastion gets rid of it then Chazz will be in a tight spot as he has no cards in his hand, no facedowns and hes low on life points."
Red Hat was clearly unimpressed with the move. 'Big monster that can be destroyed by fissure. Seriously big numbers with passible effects dont mean anything if its this tedious to summon.'
"I activate V - Z effects once per turn I can banish one of your cards so say good bye to one of your facedowns, the far left one!" V - Z fired its cannons on Bastion's facedown card and baninished it.
"Now Dragon Catipult Cannon, attack Beta the Magnet Warrior!" As the the humaniod machine was charging its cannons and fired at Beta, the attack never conneted.
"I dont think so Chazz, You triggered my Trap, Sakuretsu Armor! This Card destorys your attacking monster." An Armored Beast materialized onto the field and effortlessly took the hit and began to charge at V - Z thus destroying it.
"What!? This cant be!" Chazz was shocked at what just happened. "Argh, I end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

"Sweetness Bastion took down Chazz's best monster." Jaden cheered
"With no monsters or cards in his hand Chazz is pretty much done." Alexis pointed out.
"Bastion is gonna win." Syrus said.
Red Hat said nothing and just smirked. 'You get what you deserve Chazz. It's why you don't make big boss monsters with little pay off. Well done Bastion getting rid of that scrap metal with easy removal.'
"Well this duel is mine. Which shouldnt be a surprise, since I already done all the math."
"All the math?" Crowler asked in surprised. "You mean that..."
"Bastion's had all this planned out since the very start!" Jaden realized.
'My, this is interesting. Bastion if you're this prepared even with a deck like that. Then I cant wait to duel you someday.' Red Hat thought, now smiling.
"Well then its my turn I draw." Bastion draws.
Hand 7
"I summon another Sabersarus in attack mode (Atk: 1900 Def: 500). Battle, Beta the Magnet Warrior and Sabersarus attack him directly and end this duel." Beta charged in and attack. Sabersarus charged in and slamed Chazz kocking him out.
Chazz: 2300 - 600 - 0 LP
"A well played duel Chazz," Bastion said. "But not well enough."
"Pure Luck." Chazz replied. "You drew a lucky card and stumbled into the win. That's all!"
"Perhaps, but luck favors the prepared, and I was prepared to beat you with a half dozen other cards as well. Sorry, you would have lost the duel one way or another. But deny it if you want, just like you throwing my deck into the ocean."
"Yeah, Prove it!"
"Well if you insist. Here, a card I fished out." Bastion held out the Vorse Raider card. Everyone noticed that there were some math equations on the card. "With a formula I wrote on it. I suppose you could have wriiten it, but the math would have probably been wrong and its not. Chazz, you stole, you lied, you cheated, you lost. You deserved to be demoted."
"This can't be!" Chazz said in disbelief.
"Bastion Misawa," Crowler said. "Congratulations and welcome to Obelisk Blue."
"No, I must decline that invitation."
"What? But what for?"
"When I first arrived at the academy, I decided I will only enter Obelisk Blue when I became the number one student in the freshman class." Bastion turned his attention to Jaden and Red Hat. "Jaden and you Red Hat, out of all the new duelists, I think you two are the best."
Red Hat just smiled. 'Jeez I'm not used to getting complimented' he thought before responding. "Thanks Bastion"
"Does that mean you want to settle this right here?" Jaden asked. "I mean seeing you guys duel really made me want to get my game on."
"Sorry but not now."
"Awe, Why not."
"Because I have a lot of work to do before I duel either of you. Many formulas to write, theorems to solve, equations to balance. You're good duelists, and I plan to be ready"
"Smart move." Jaden commented.
"He didn't have to prepare for me." Chazz growled. "He won with just one day's notice."
Red Hat then got near Chazz. "Dont go back on your word, You made it clear who ever loses gets expelled. Dont try and wheesel out of you word."
Chazz was then completely stunned at that. He refused to admit it, so he stormed off as he ran out from the arena.
"Well looks like we wont be seeing him anytime soon." Red Hat then left the arena alone. 'Well this was interesting day. I wonder how the rest of my days will be like.'
A/N: The Chazz vs Bastion duel is based on Tag Force 1 duel so dont get confused when I didnt do the anime version of the duel. No I'm not doing the anime 4000 LP thing, as that will make the duels far too short as it is very easy to get OTKed with 4000 life points no matter what people keep on trying to claim. It also makes burn decks (Good ones not anime gimmick ones) a lot more threatning with so little LP. The whole gag with Red Hat mocking cards or stategies is based on how stuff that works in the anime doesnt work irl especially when the anime has no banlist.
Edit: 1/03/2022: Those that complained about the Magical Scientist FTK. It's not going to appear again. This was done to show that yes Obelisk Blue Chazz is a horrible person. That was Red Hat's way of saying, he doesn't deserve to lose honorably. If anyone has played Tag Force 3 Obelisk Chazz route you will know he would not have changed if he got his way with everything. It's why I have to constantly remind people, Chazz losing to Jaden and Bastion is justified otherwise Chazz would be worse off. (Why do you think his manga incarnation completely changed his character and removed his brthers entirely XD.) Chazz losing to them has caused him to calm down and become more comical, but the same guy mostly. That's all I wanted to say, see you next time.
