Before the Storm
A/N: Most of this chapter is Tag Force reference such as the unexplained Lab which has little reason to exist. Rather then being a plot device for Season 3 which won't be until much later, might as well explore it. What little it has to offer in Tag Force. The gravekeeper scenario I'm not gonna do. There will be a duel so theres a quota.
Thrusday
Time 11pm
It was latw in the night at Duel Academy, and everyone was sleeping peacefully... Except for one. At the Slifer Red dorm, while Jaden and Chumley were snoring away, Syrus crept down from his bed bunk, his eye weary from fatigue. "That's the last time I mix chili sauce with ice cream." He muttered to himself. He walked out of the dorm room quietly and went down the stairs and around the building and to a random door thinking it was the bathroom. When he opened the door, he saw a blue glow from a computer. "Oh, whoops. This isn't the bathroom." He was about to close the door, but he then noticed Professor Banner sitting at a computer, his back next to the open door.
"You are not here to ask why, you are here to obey." An unknown voice said from the other end of the communication.
"But Jaden is one of our best students, he could be buried alive!" Banner protested.
"Buried?" Syrus repeated.
"If the tomb shall be the end of Jaden Yuki then so be it. But his true potential must be tested."
Syrus closed the door quietly and backed away, scared of what he just heard. 'Tested? In a tomb? Where he could be buried alive? Something tells me this isn't mid-terms.' He then quietly ran back to his room. although inside Banners room the discusion was not over.
"Another thing to keep in mind. Do not get that boy in the red hat involved with your endevors."
"But why?" Banner asked. "Why do this test with Jaden, but not Red Hat?"
"Do you realize, that boy in the red hat is a user of Chaos? If we bring him to our trials then our plans will be foiled and all be for nothing." The unknown voice explained. "He is extremely dangerous. I repeat do not bring him to our trials. Leave him be, only focuson Jaden Yuki for now."
"Understood." With that Banner shut off his computer as he cut of the conection and head to sleep preparing his plan for Jaden.
Friday
Time 3pm
The next day, it was another typical day, and right now, Banner was giving his students another lecture about alchemy. There weren't many students present in his class. The reason as it was unrelated to dueling, boring, and served no purpose. Many that were present were either bored or in Jaden's case, was outright sleeping. Red Hat was only here for one reason and one reason only. He and Blair were sitting at the top row. Blair was watching and listening with interest. Red Hat just sat there being indifferent like usual.
"So, as you can see, we can learn a great deal about dueling from alchemy." Banner spoke to his class, standing by his desk with different vials with liquid in his hands. "For just as you might cobine two monsters to create another, you can combine two compounds to create something equally impressive." He poured the liquid from a test tube into the vial he held, then stirred it by shaking it. And then...
BOOM!
It exploded, creating a cloud of smoke in the process. Many students jumped at that, but that didn't wake up Jaden. Red Hat chuckled at that, holding back his laughter.
"Best part about this class, is when Banner blows himself up when doing that." said Red Hat.
"Don't be mean, Red Hat. Banner may have gotten hurt." Blair scowled at Red Hat.
"He'll be fine Blair look." Red Hat pointed to where Banner was. He was doing okay.
"...and equally devastating." Banner added before his body, being smudged by the smoke, collapsed.
The bell then rung, at which Jaden woke up from his nap., stretching his arms while yawning. "Morning guys. Learn anything good today?"
"Not really Jaden. Just enjoying the show." replied Red Hat.
Still startled by the explosion, Syrus said, "We sure did. To duck."
Banner recovered from the little incident and got up on his feet. "Oh, I almost forgot." He announced as he held up a pile of papers. "I'm, uh... planning a little field trip."
"Great! To where? Circus? Carnival?" Jaden asked, getting excited.
"Even better! We're taking a 10-mile hike all the way to the excavated ruins, where we'll be taking geologic course samples!" revealed Banner, sounding a bit too excited and a little suspicious at the same time. "Saturday at 7 A.M! Don't be late!"
'Not interested. I'm out of here.' Red Hat thought before he left with Blair tagging along with him. Banner took notice of this as Red Hat left.
'Not interested huh Red Hat? This should make things easier for me. Only I'll have to give you a punishment as to not get caught.' Banner thought, as everyone else also left his class.
Red Hat was walking back to his dorm with Blair tagging along with him. "You aren't gonna go? It could be an interesting field trip." Blair stated. Red Hat just shook his head in response.
"Something is not right Blair. Why would Banner give us a field trip out of the blue like that. Not only that why the ruins of all places." Red Hat said.
"Who knows? Maybe he's trying to be nice and give us a break." Blair assured.
"What ever the case. I'm not going. What ever punishment Banner gives me I'll take it." Red Hat replied, not carring if he got a major punishment.
'Unbelievable.' Blair thought.
As both of them went back to the dorm they soon found a very large crate near the dorm with other supplies scattered. 'What's going on here? Chazz I think is behind this.' Red Hat thought. As he and Blair got closer they see Chazz door completely open and find out he tossed a lot of things in the room he was in.
"Get all of this stuff out of here!" Chazz yelled from afar as he was renovating his room. Red Hat took a look and saw Chazz had a large bed in his room, which he assumed was one of the Obelisk Blue type of beds. The bed was clearly too big for the small room, but Chazz was craming in as much things as he could manage.
"What are you two looking at?! Get lost, I'm busy here!" Chazz yelled as he threw a pillow at them getting them to leave. Red Hat and Blair retreated to their room, former which was clearly annoyed by all of this.
"Guess we wont be resting in peace anymore with Chazz being next door to us. Not only us but also Jaden." said Red Hat.
"You're a heavly sleeper though. So is Jaden; so I don't see what you're complaining about." Blair reminded him. Red Hat sweatdropped as he hated admiting that without Blair he'd be sleeping through out the day except under very specific circumstances. Soon after dinner both of them went to bed.
Saturday
Time 7am
"Only four? Wher are everyone else?" wondered Banner, sounding a bit disappointed at the small number of students participating in the field trip. Speaking of small numbers, the only students attending were Jaden, Syrus, Chumley, and Alexis.
"T-They're probably sleeping, Professor." spoke Syrus, noting how early it was. "You know, in their nice, warm beds. With their nice comfty pillows..."
"Just like I would be doing if Banner didn't threaten us with detention if we didn't show." muttered Chumely under his breath as Banner picked up his backpack, putting it on. "It's 7 A.M. in the morning! I need my beauty sleep!"
"I'll tell you the secret to getting up early is! Staying up all night long!" encouraged Jaden.
"To tell you the truth, I could hardly sleep either!" admitted Alexis, sounding more enthusiastic. "These ruins we're going to used to host the Shadow Games!"
"Sweet! Maybe you'll find some clues, then! About your brother!"
Alexis nodded. "Yeah, that's kinda what I'm hoping for..." Alexis then noticed Red Hat was no where to be seen. "Red Hat didn't come?"
"Red Hat was not interested in comming here." Banner answered her question. "As punishment I gave Red Hat triple homework that he must turn in tomarrow morning."
"Man talk about rough break. Red Hat is gonna have his hands full today." said Jaden, concerned for Red Hat, as he dislikes homework.
Alexis sighed. "Well that's his problem now."
"Now, we must be careful as we approach the ruins." warned Banner as he and his students took out their PDAs for navigation of the exact location for their trip. "Inside is an ancient tomb." Banner and the others now began to walking to said location. Although Banner had some thoughts. 'Red Hat, you'll have other trials. I've been told something gets you to have so much dueling energy, but we can't figure out what it is. Hopefully I can figure it out before it's too late. There is more to you then meets the eye Red Hat.'
Time 8am
Red Hat soon woke up from his slumber after some waking up. He found out that Blair was still sleeping. Red Hat decided to wake her up.
"Blair wake up." Red Hat gently shakes her.
Blair begins to stirr before stretching her arms and waking up. "Red Hat? You sure got up before I did. What time is it?" asked Blair as she yawned after getting off her bed.
"It's 8 A.M. Blair. Normally you never sleep in like this." replied Red Hat.
"Couldn't sleep last night too well. Well lets get up and begin our day." as Blair said this she found loads of papers on the desk with a note. Red Hat took noticed to and read the note.
'Red Hat, as punishment for not comming on the field trip. You will be asigned triple the homework instead of detention. In exchange you will turn your work to me tomorrow morning. I expect nothing less of you - signed Professor Banner'
"This is punishment?" Red Hat took a look at the papers and skimed through them. He was... disappointed to say the least. "I though this would be very difficult homework. All of this is the bare bones basics. Well some is alchemy related stuff, but I'll manage."
"Really? You aren't the least worried about that?" asked Blair, confused at Red Hat's lack of care at the stock pile of papers laying on the desk.
"Not really." replied Red Hat. "If anything I'll finsish this in a couple of hours if I get started now."
"If you say so." Blair and Red Hat then left their room, and went to the cafeteria to get some breakfast. Like usual the breakfast was underwhelming and had a bland taste.
"Good to know the breakfast is still bland when its not fried shrimp day." said Red Hat.
"I'll agreee with you on that." Blair agreed with Red Hat. "Well you better get started with your homework Red Hat."
"Don't remind me. I'll finish this quickly so we can do something else." stated Red Hat as he went back to his room to complete his uninspiring homework.
Time 11am
After a while has passed Red Hat finally finsished his homework which he assume had to be a joke as it was painfully easy... at least for him. Red Hat was so bored he nearly fell asleep on his chair before snapping out of it as Blair came into his room.
"You were about to sleep again?" Blair asked as she entered Red Hat's room.
"The homework was so dull I was about to fall asleep." replied Red Hat. "Since I'm done where do you want to go?"
"Rather leave the dorm for a while. Our next door neighbor is having a fit again." As Blair said that Chazz was having a scream fest again.
"Get these rats out of here! I can't stand this!" this screaming cause Red Hat and Blair to sweatdrop.
"Let's go somewhere. There is a place I want to check out." said Red Hat.
"Okay then, I rather not stay here until that guy calms down." Blair said as she followed Red Hat to where ever he was going ignoring the scream fest Chazz was having at the dorm.
Time 1pm
As they were walking deep into the forest, avoiding the Oblisk Blue dorms as to not get caught. They both Red Hat and Blair discovered something they didn't expect deep into the forest south of the Obelisk Blue girls dorm. What they found was a building while not big, was covered by the thick foliage of the forest. How anyone did not know of this was beyond Red Hat's comprehension. That's when Red Hat had a thought he just remembered a few weeks ago.
'Jaden said he dueled a dueling monkey, and they were a bunch of researchers conducting expirements in a lab. So is this the Lab, Jaden and Professor Banner was talking about?' Red Hat thought. Soon curiosity got the better of him and decided to get close to said lab. Blair was shocked to see Red Hat was willing to enter this unknown building.
"Wait Red Hat! Are you sure were are allowed to even be here? Let alone enter that building? We could get into huge trouble." Blair asked, worried about what would happen.
"This place already has me curious. Also got this message from a while ago." Red Hat took out his PDA and showed her a message from Sheppard.
"I have recently found out that near the Obelisk Blue Girls Dorm... There is a facility that is conducting some suspicious research... They say they are researching duels and dueling. This place seems very dangerous, please do not go there." With that the message ends as Red Hat put away his PDA. This didn't make Blair feel any better.
"Okay with that message, now I know we aren't supposed to be here. Let's turn back now Red Hat!" said Blair only for Red Hat to keep walking toward the building.
"The door opened? Blair lets check it out!" announced Red Hat as he waited for Blair.
'I'm gonna regret this. I just know it.' Blair thought as she followed Red Hat. Oblivious to the both of them, a large pillar of light was seen much farther away from the mainland academy.
Time 2pm
Red Hat and Blair entered the said facility. While they were walking they were surprised to know the facility was much deeper then they thought. They ignored a lot of abandon rooms that also had broken glass scatered. Blair thought this place was creepy and wanted to turn back, but Red Hat was having none of that. Red Hat though was still caucious at his actions as it will lead him to trouble otherwise. Soon they reached another door, this one however being sealed off. Just when they were about to leave the door opened up revealing various researchers in various places.
"What in the world?" Red Hat wondered as took in the sight of the place. The researchers took noticed of Red Hat and Blair.
"Hault! Who goes there. Identify yourselves!" One of the researchers haulted them. Red Hat found this display unremarkable.
"I came here out of curiosity. Mind telling me what all of this is?" Red Hat asked so casually.
"How did you two found this facility?" the same researcher asked. "And how did you get in here? This facility is off limits to all students and faculty memebers."
"Exuse us, we didn't know and just walked in. You really need to keep your doors locked." Red Hat pointed out causing the researcher to deadpan.
"There's no point in trying to reason with you. You already know too much so we just can't let you leave unless you specfically state you will not expose our research. Our last team was removed after failed experiments." The researcher explained.
"I'm not the type to expose other people of their work, as I couldn't care less what you researchers do." Red Hat replied. "Do what ever you want. I really don't care what you researchers do. So long as you don't try anything funny on me."
The researcher pondered for a little bit. Thinking if he could trust these two with their dire secrets. He soon realized he didn't have to tell any of their works. He had to be caucious as these two could be lying and exposing their research was not an option.
"I see. Well then you can look around over there on the far left. You are not allowed passed this point where I'm standing. Disobay and we will have to take action. Got it?" The researcher explained as he pointed to said directions. As he gave the warning he went through another door and the door was locked shut.
"That was interesting." said Red Hat as he headed to said direction the researcher pointed to. Blair shook her had at what she just witnessed. There they reached said location where there's two researchers. One of the said researcher talks to Red Hat.
"Do you want to know about the computer terminals?" the researcher asked. "The computer terminals are the machines that are behind me.
"Yeah, we want to know more about these terminals." replied Red Hat.
"Right. Well, the one on the left is the password machine, and the one on the right is the card exchange machine." explained the researcher.
"Let's here about the card exchange." said Red Hat.
"That machine trades several cards for one. You should input cards you dont use anymore. The card that is given is comepletely random. If you're lucky you can get rare cards." the researcher explained once more.
'I don't think I should ask about the password machine. I think I know what it means.' Red Hat thought.
"So that's how it works?" Blair asked. "May as well give it a try." Blair then begins to empty many cards that she and Red Hat considered useless. After empting over 30 cards of her minus her precious Maiden cards, she finished filling up the machine and presses the button. The machine begins to activate as it begins to convert all the cards Blair's inserted. After the machine was done converting the cards a single card popped out of the machine. Blair took the single card and reveiled to be Solemn Judgment.
"I got a new card. It's the card you use a lot Red Hat." said Blair as she put the card in her deck box.
"Lucky. Well then I think it's time we leave." stated Red Hat.
"Huh? Already? But what about the password machine?" Blair asked as she left with Red Hat.
"It's for rental." Red Hat checked out what the other researcher did. "No thanks. I rather take my loss and buy packs for cards instead of renting." stated Red Hat as both of them now started climbing up the stairs to now leave the facility.
Time 5pm
As Blair and Red Hat returned to their dorm they find that Jaden Syrus and Chumley came back from their field trip. Red Hat noticed a medallion that Jaden was wearing. The medallion was only in half though, and Jaden certainly didn't have this medallion before. Red Hat was gonna ask Jaden some questions once everyone settled down. Something within him , was telling him something was not right.
"Hey Jaden! Enjoyed your field trip?" asked Red Hat, while waving at Jaden at the dorm.
"Red Hat whats up?" greeted Jaden. "The field trip sure was fun."
"Minus that part where we fell asleep in the ruins and having wild imaginations." said Syrus.
"The worst of it was getting there and hiking back down." Chumley stated, feeling exhausted.
"Can't wait to hear some stories then." replied Red Hat until heading back to his room. Blair followed him there only for Blair to stayed in his room, while Red Hat went out and wanted to talk to Jaden in private. Red Hat and Jaden sat down behind the dorm to begin chatting.
"Jaden, mind telling me where you got that medallion?" asked Red Hat. "Cause I know you didn't have that until you came back from the field trip."
"Not sure if you believe me when I tell you this Red Hat." replied Jaden.
"Considering what you been through, I can understand Jaden. No matter how ridiculous it may sound."
"If you say so." Jaden sighed as be began to explain. "You see, when we went to the ruins. All of a sudden we were transported to another world. A world where duel monster spirits are real. Then my friends were captured by strange people calling themselves Gravekeepers. Their leader challenaged me to a duel. If I lost then my friends would be burried alive. Luckily I won and thats how I got this medallion." Some details Jaden left out.
"So that's what happened. After your encounter with Jinzo a couple months back, I can believe your story Jaden." said Red Hat
"You believe me Red Hat?"
Red Hat chuckled at that. "Of course I do Jaden. Although if I know something like that would happen. I would have come with you and had your back."
"Thanks for understanding Red Hat." Jaden was then reminded of something. "Say I heard Professor Banner gave you a lot of homwework. Did you by any chance finished it?" Jaden asked.
"Oh that? I finished it no problem." Red Hat then sighed. "The homework was so dull, I nearly fell alseep on my chair."
"Ha, ha, I tend to fall asleep when ever I do homework at all. Man if only we can just duel all day for any kind of work or tests." replied Jaden, causing Red Hat to chuckle.
"I feel you Jaden. All classes and homework are so dull and boring." agreed Red Hat, although for different reasons.
"So long as we can duel it's all good." Jaden then looked at the time. "Almost time for dinner."
"Alright lets get something to eat." Red Hat and Jaden then headed off to the cafeteria to get their dinner soon followed by Syrus Chumley and Blair. Later Chazz begrudenly joins as he can't stand the food Slifer Red offers.
Time 9pm
Red Hat couldn't sleep no matter how hard he tried. Something was telling him that there will be a problem, but he can't place his finger on it. Having enough, Red Hat gets up and leaves his room, as he begins to walk away from his dorm and heads for the bottom of the cliffside. Red Hat took in the time to feel the cool breeze brushing accros his face.
'So peaceful, and such cool night air. Why do I feel like something is gonna happen?' Red Hat thought to himself as he stayed there for a little while. Soon the silence would be broken as he was interrupted.
"So you are here." Red -hat turned around to see where the voice was coming from. To his surprise it wasn't anyone he knew or anyone closely related to the academy. What he saw was a tan-skinned woman with black hair. She was dressed in a blue, short dress, and open black robes that dropped to her ankles. She is also wearing a strange golden headband and a pair of emerald earrings.
"Explain yourself immediately!" Red Hat said as he got to defensive postion ready to fight if necessary.
"Do not be alarmed. I am not here to cause harm." said the girl.
"Then why are you here then? Why were you looking for me of all people?" Red Hat asked as he loosened up a bit, but was still cautious.
"You don't understand; I don't have much time explain before I must return to my world. There's something about you thats much different from the two people that took the trial. My name is Yasmin by the way." the girl now named Yasmin explained to Red Hat.
Red Hat had to think for a bit before realizing what was happening. "So one of those trials is the same trial Jaden was talking about. Now I understand. Still that doesn't explain, why were you searching for me of all people." replied Red Hat.
"I came to you as your power is much different from that boy named Jaden. However, I must duel you to test, that you really are who you claim to be." Ysamin said as she now readied a duel disk.
"If dueling you is the only way to make you talk then so be it!" declares Red Hat as he readies his duel disk. Both him and Yasmin head to their opposite directions at the far side of the lower cliffside as they stare each other off to begin the duel.
DUEL

Red Hat: 8000 LP
"I'll go first is you don't mind." said Yasmin..
"Fine by me. Go ahead." replied Red Hat.
"My turn, I draw!" Yasmin draws.
Hand 6
'I just need that card.' she thought before comencing her turn. "I'll set a monster facedown and I'll set two cards facedown. Thats all for now." Yasmin ended her turn.
Hand 3
"Alright my turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.
Hand 6
"I play Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2. *dicards Reflect Bounder and Tsukuyomi* I banish Tsukuyomi and Reflect Bounder to special summon Chaos Sorcerer attack mode! (Atk: 2300 Def: 2000) Battle, Chaos Sorcerer attack her facedown monster!" Chaos Scorcerer created dark orbs of flames and launched it at the facedown monster revealing to be Gravekeeper's Spy. (Atk: 1200 Def: 2000)
"Gravekeeper's Spy effect. When he's flipped face up I get to special summon a Gravekeeper from my deck with 1500 or less attack points! Come forth Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier! (AtK: 1500 Def: 1000)"
"Fine by me. I set a monster and set 3 cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ended his turn.
Hand 1
"Very well. My turn, I draw!"
Hand 4
"I activate the Field Spell Necrovalley!" The area disappeared and a canyon with tall stone walls appeared all around them. Both Red Hat and Yasmin were now standing on stone pillars while their monsters floated on nothingness.
"Argh, I heard of this card. Never thought I'd see it be played. This will be troublesome." said Red Hat as he looked around the field.
"And it's gonna get a lot worse. First off, all Gravekeeper's gain 500 attack and defense points. Cards can not be baninished, cards that would move a card from the graveyard to a different place are negated; this also includes monsters own effects. In addition it negates a card that changes types and attributes of monsters in the graveyard." Yasmin explains the effect. Red Hat scowled at this.
"Great so now I can't banish for Chaos monsters."
"Precisly, now I tribute my Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier and summon Gravekeeper's Cheif! (Atk: 1900 - 2400 Def: 1200 - 1700) His effect allows me to special summon a Gravekeeper monster from my grave and Gravekeeper's Chief other effect is my grave is uneffected by Necrovalley. So return Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier! (Atk: 1500 - 2000 Def: 1000 - 1500) Battle, Gravekeeper's Cheif attack that Chaos Sorcerer!" The cheif let loose a stream of red energy.
"Dont bother, go trap Wildspread Ruin! This card destroys your strongest monster and that will be your cheif right there!" Gravekeeper's Cheif attack was intercepted by a mine and soon self destructed destroying him and the mine.
"Don't think I dont have a back up. Go trap Rite of Spirit! This card allows me to special summon a Gravekeeper's monster from my grave and it's uneffected by Necrovalley. So return to me Gravekeeper's Cheif! (Atk: 1900 - 2400 Def: 1200 - 1700) Now we are back where we started, Cheif attack that Chaos Sorcerer!" The Cheif let loose again a stream of red energy hitting Chaos Sorcerer.
Red Hat: 8000 - 7900 LP
"Now Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier attack his facedown monster!" The spearman charged and stabbed the facedown monster reveiling it to be Morphing Jar. (Atk: 700 Def: 600)
"Morphing Jar effect we discard our entired hand then we draw 5 cards." Red Hat discards his last card and draws five. Yasmin does the same with her discarding her last 2 cards.
"That may be but Spear Soldier does peircing damage!" Spear Soldier launches his spear at Red Hat cauing him damage.
Red Hat: 7900 - 6500 LP
"Now I set 2 cards facedown and end my turn." Yasmin ended her turn.
Hand 3
"My turn. I draw!"
Hand 6
"First I play the spell Giant Trunade! All spells and traps return to our hands!" A huge hurcaine appeared and blowed away all the spells and traps on the field. The entire field was returned to normal at the lower cliffside. Both Gravekeeper's lost their points. (Atk: 2000 - 1500 Def: 1500 - 1000) (Atk: 2400 - 1900 Def: 1700 - 1200) "Now I play one of my set cards that returned to my hand, Card Destruction! Now we discard our entire hand and redraw!" Red Hat and Yasmin discard their hand. Yasmin recluntantly did so as she discard two important cards.
"Now I play the spell Brain Control! I pay 800 LP to take control of your Gravekeeper's Spear Soldier. Now I tribute him to summon Zaborg the Thunder Monarch! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1000) His effect since he was tribute summoned I ge to destroy one monster you control. So your Gravekeeper's Cheif is destroyed!" Zaborg launches a large electrical orb at the Cheif. Destroying him in the process. "Now Zaborg attack her directly! Voltic Thunder!" Zaborg hits Yasmin with powerful lightning causing her to stagger a bit.
Yasmin: 8000 - 5600 LP
"Now I set a facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ended his turn.
Hand 3
"Alright my turn, I draw!" Yasmin draws.
Hand 8
"I activate the spell Tribute to the Doom! By discarding one card, I can destroy a monster! So that Zaborg gets destroyed!" A whirling pit of sand appeared underneath Zaborg, followed by a pair of mummified hands that grabbed the monarch and dragged him down. Red Hat mentally dead pan at the play.
'You go minus to destroy a monster. Just play Smashing Ground or Fissure, you aren't that desperate for removal.' he thought.
"Now I play the spell Premature Burial! I pay 800 LP to bring back a monster. I chose Gravekeeper's Cheif!" The Cheif reemerges onto the field. (Atk: 1900 Def: 1200)
Yasmin: 5600 - 4800 LP
"Now I once again activate the Field Spell Necrovalley!" before Yasmin was able to activate her spell, Red Hat was ready.
"Not so fast go quickplay! Mystical Space Typhoon! I'll destroy you're Necrovalley!" powerful typhoon winds destroy the field spell Yasmin placed in her field zone. "I notcied that distain look on your face when I played Card Destruction. I forced you to discard your hand. Let me guess two of those cards were two copies of Necrovalley am I right?" Red Hat asked mockingly. Yasmin gasphed at that, but did not respond.
"Still you are defenseless. Cheif attack him directly!" The cheif fires once again his stream of red energy hitting Red Hat head on.
Red Hat: 6500 - 4600 LP
"Now I set a monster and I set a facedown. That ends my turn." Yasmin ends her turn.

"My turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.
Hand 4
"I play Pot of Greed! So I draw 2." Red Hat draws his cards and smiles. "I banish Cyber Jar and D.D Warrior Lady to special summon Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Begining! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" the Chaos warrior appears and unsheathes it's sword. "Now I play Premature Burial! By payin 800 LP I can special summon a monster from te grave I coose Zaborg."
Red Hat: 4600 - 3800 LP
"Go trap! Maigc Jammer! I discard a card your spell is negated and destroyed!" Yasmin discards her card and a sigil appears around the equip destroying it.
"Thought you might try that. Now I play te spell Nobleman of Crossout. I bansih your facedown monster!" A warrior appears and slashed the facedown monster spiting it in two before it's removed. "If that was a flip effect all other copies are banished!"
"Ah! Gravekeeper's Spy; my last copy is in my deck!" Yasmin gasped as she was forced to banish her last copy of Gravekeeper's Spy.
"Now I summon Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer attack mode! (Atk: 1800 Def: 700) Batte, Black Luster Soldier attack the Gravekeeper Cheif!" The chaos warrior chages in and stabs the Gravekeeper.
Yasmin: 4800 - 3700 LP
"Enoy of the Begining effect. If it destroyed a monster in battle, he can attack twice during the same battle phase!"
"So that means..." Yasmin said as she admited defeat.
"You lose. Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer and Black Luster Soldier finish her off!" Kycoo charged in and punched Yasmin head on. The chaos warrior swords bgan to glow as he charged and slashed Yasmin. Depleating her LP.
Yasmin: 3700 - 1900 - 0 LP
Yasmin dropped to her knees and looked up to Red Hat where he walked towards her as he deavtivated his duel disk. "So this is the power of the chaos user." said Yasmin.
"Explain to me. Why go through all of this trouble?" Red Hat asked.
"Listen, soon your school would be in trouble. There isn't much time left. Someone is trying to keep you away to prevent you from helping." Yasmin vaugly explained.
"Just what do you mean by that? What is going to happen?" Red Hat asked again this time raising his voice.
"You'll find out in due time. I can't stay here much longer. Just one last request. If you find the owner of the other medallion. Tell him Yasmin is watching ad keeping faith. I havent forgotten him, and I believe one day we will meet again." Yasmin explains as she now leaves the cliffslide. Red Hat followed her but as he made it to the top she disappeared.
"Where did she go?"Red Hat was perplexed as there was no way she would be able to run off quickly. "Just what did she mean by all of that? And the one who holds the other half of the medallion, does she mean someone else beat the trial Jaden did?" Red Hat was left with more questions then answers.
He then retreated to his room where he found Blair already sleeping peacefully. 'You are sound asleep. Least thats good. Would have been troublesome if you found out about the duel I had.' Red Hat then drifts to sleeps in his bed, not knowing there was more trouble on the way he and the rest of the crew were not aware of.
A/N: Honesty there really wasn't much to say here. Didn't expect this to be so short but oh well. Anyway as for the duel with Yasmin. It's more of a reference to Tag Force where you find her at late at night. Her main goal is keeping an eye on 'him'. Other then that not much to say about Yasmin. Could have done more but I'm staying true to Tag Force with multiple changes. Next time we will do the Shadow Riders Tag Force style. This will be fun.
Note: Necrovalley effect I used is the most recent errata. The pre-errata version is so vauge and bloated I had to use the most recent one. Didn't matter much in the long run. Do not expect such a thing to happen again. Necrovalley is such a gem that using the newest errata is more fitting unlike other cards in GX with got errated later on.
