Field of Screams - Remix
A/N: This took too long for various reasons. One is comming up with a way to justify the duel with Zane and Camula. Second using Tag Force Illusion Gate as it's different from the anime. And third Tag Force implies characters deck changes because being possessed by the shadow riders. So I had to take many liberties when making the duels. In any case hope this meets up to standards.
Wednesday
Time 8pm
It was a dark and dimly lit night with a crescent moon hanging over a lake, and a bloat drifted across the dark waters covered in fog. A horde of flying bats flew over the boat. Inside was a coffin with its lid creaking open and a woman with long hair and red lips sat up. The Mysterious woman sat there in silent for a moment with a wicked smiled before a dark laugh escaed her lips...
"Ah" Jaden suddenly got up after waking up from the nightmare he just had. As soon as he sat up, he clutched his sides in pain.
"Jaden!" Syrus exclaimed from his seat next to Jaden's hospital bed. "Are you okay?"
"Oh man, weird dream." Jaden mumbled. "I saw a girl."
"A girl?" Syrus repeated.
"You must be feeling better if you're dreaming about girls." Ms. Fontaine commented as she came into view.
"How is Red Hat, Alexis, and Nightshrou... I mean, Alexis' brother?" Jaden asked as he noticed Red Hat struggling to get up from the bed. Alexis was resting with her brother nearby.
"I'm afraid Alexis and her brother haven't woken up yet, but still they are in stable condition." Ms. Fontaine then notcied Red Hat trying to force himself to get up. "And Red Hat is awake but forcing himself to get up."
"Red Hat..." Jaden muttered as he remembered what Red Hat summoned during the duel. 'He has that monster, sweet monster Red Hat, but man that hurt.' Jaden thought as he clutched his sides in pain.
"Alright mister, lay down and rest. You're badly injured." Ms. Fontaine stated as she gently pushed Red Hat back to the hospital bed.
"Ugh, I refuse to stay here laying around." as Red Hat got up he felt pain and clutched his chest in pain.
"See what I mean. You aren't fully recovered." Ms. Fontaine said as she left the room.
"Tch, fine." Red Hat lays back down and covers himself with the bed sheets. 'I need to leave ths room. Pain be damned.'
The boat from Jaden's dream drifted silently on the dark water. The woman in the coffin looked ahead and raised her hand to the sky. "Go, my minions!" She commanded as the bats flew away to do their bidding. "Find me my prey so that we can succedd where Nightshroud faied." She smiled as she held a thorny rose. She then remembered what her orders were.
"Nightshroud was foolish enough to challenge the user of chaos. So he lost by his own arrogance." The voice of an old man explained. "I command the rest of you; do not challenge the boy in the red hat, the Chaos user."
"Why shouldn't I?" asked the woman.
"The user of Chaos is extremely danngerous. Unless you manage to defeat all of the other key keepers. Do not challenge him or you'll regret it." warned the voice.
The woman then opened her eyes and scoffed. "Why should I fear a mere school boy? No matter, I'll succeed one way or another." The woman laughed as she her boat drifted further. 'And soon all will fall in my domain.'
Thursday
Time 9am
During the next day, a lot of rumors where going on among the classes and dorms. Various students where chatting around about said rumors. The rumors have spread so far, even Sheppard caught wind of it. because of that, he called Zane, Bastion, Chazz, and Crowler to his office.
"Vampire!" Chazz freaked out.
"I'm afraid the rumors may not be rumors after all." Sheppard said.
"Please! It's a practical joke." Crowler scoffed.
"A joke? It wasn't a joke that put Jaden, Alexis, and Red Hat in the hospital." Bastion said seriously
"Not to mention Alexis lost her key already!" Chazz pointed out. "Any one of us could be next if we don't watch our backs!"
"These Shadow Riders aren't to be taken lightly." Zane flattly said. "Alexis told me when she lost, she was mind controled by the Shadow Rider that defeated her. If we aren't careful we could become their puppets."
"It's a shame Alexis already lost." Sheppard looked to his cohorts. "If anything, this means we have to take extra precautions. Be on the lookout for anything strange and report to the others when you do."
The group nodded and left the office. "Crowler do take this situation seriously alright." Shappard said to Crowler before he left.
"Oh, why yes sir. I'll do my part." Crowlwer left as he said that. In actuallity Crowler was nervous at the thought of dueling said vampire duelist.
Time 12pm
Later on, Chazz sat in his Slifer Red dorm room. He was was going through the cards in his deck to rearrange it, in case this vampire lady came after him. "Let's see this vampire girl try to get the drop on the Chazz."
Unbeknownst to him, a bat was hanging from the rafters, looking down at him with red glowing eyes.
At the same time, Bastion was going through his own cards, completely unaware of the bat watching him through the window.
As Zane was in his own room and rearranging his deck, he too was unaware of the spying bat outside the window, just like the others.
"A Vampire?" Crowler scoffed. "What's next? The Boogyman?" He sat down at his office desk and wrote down some papers. "Who would believe something so ridiculous?" But just like his students, he's being watched by a bat.
Time 4pm
Back in the infirmary, Alexis stirred as she finally was able to wake up. When she did, she saw her bed was close to the one where her brther was. Alexis sighed in releif as she knew her brother was awake. 'He's doing alright. He may not be awake, but at least he's alive and well.' Alexis got up but clutchig her chest as she tried to get up but only ends up sitting on the side of her bed.
"Alexis you're awake." Syrus said as he noticed she tried to get up.
"I've been out for a while." Alexis takes a deep breath. "I should be fine after a little bit of rest." Alexis then looks at Jaden. "How's Jaden been doing?"
"He hasn't said anything since last night. You were still alseep when he got up at that time." Syrus said sadly.
Alexis fround slightly. "Oh... I see." Alexis then saw Red Hat still struggling to get up. "You know Red Hat, you should rest for a while. You're still in pain and struggling won't help either."
Red Hat kept trying to stand only for his legs to wobble a bit and sits back down. "I don't want to say here any longer. If I want to rest, can it at least be in my room. Is that too much to ask?" said Red Hat annoyed by his own afair.
"We are just worried Red Hat. You're also in pain after that duel." Syrus pinted out. Red Hat scoffed at this.
Red Hat sits on the hospital bed and sighs. "Say, how is Jaden doing or Alexis' brother?"
Alexis shook her head. "They are pretty much the same. Both sleeping and haven't gotten up. I know they'll get better. They are fighters and Jaden isn't gonna let something like this stop him."
Syrus nodded. "Right. We shouldn't be worrying so much. They'll get better. Only question is when?"
Red Hat just lied down and sighed as he had to stay here longer. 'I don't want to rest, but why is it that I can not rest? I know something is wrong.' Red Hat then tried to go to sleep.
In a large bathroom, lying in a bathtub, the vampire in question held out her hand as one of her bats came in flying in ans landed on it. "My precious, what did you bring me?" It's eyes glowed red, at the same time as its mistress. Images of the key keepers appeared in her mind. "Ah, so this is our opposition. I was given orders to not attack the boy in the red hat. I don't understand what makes him dangerous, but I'll obey for now. Hmm... who shall it be?" She then settled on a certain someone. Someone with dark blue hair and a stern expression. "You... you will be my first." The vampire woman chuckled. "And what better to place to face you then my own domain. Good thing I chose this spot to begin my quest." The castle where said vampire woman lived appeared at the lake near the Obelisk Blue girls dorm.
Soon every one of the key keepers bagan looking around for any sign of the so called vampire. Zane looked around near the docks and then looked around the cliffside, but found nothing. Chazz look around the forest and the Obelisk Blue boys dorm. All he found was mist but no sign of the vampire anywhere. Little did he knew he was being watched.
Bastion look around not only at the Ra dorm but also looked around the main building. As he was about to leave he noticed Red Hat walking away slowly. "Red Hat! Just where are you going?" Bastion runs towards Red Hat, and helped him out to stand on one of the pillers.
"I refuse to stay in that hospital bed any longer." said Red Hat as he tried to balance himself.
"But you aren't well rested yet. Jaden and Alexis took a beating and are still resting. There's no reason as why you can't rest easy either." Bastion explained, trying to convince Red Hat to turn back.
"I have my own reasons for that Bastion." Red Hat then turned to a certain location and frowned. "Look over there Bastion." Red Hat points to the location and they both see a cloud of thick mist where the lake was. Close to the Obelisk Bue girls dorm.
"The Shadow Rider is here!" Bastion explained as got out his PDA and send a message to others to arrive at the lake.
"Bastion help me get over there too. I need to see this." said Red Hat as he tried to walk forward slowly until he he felt pain, which lead to Bastion helping him out.
"You are quite stubborn Red Hat." commented Bastion as he put Red Hat's arm arund his shoulders. "Very well then, but it would have been better if you stayed at the hospital."
Red Hat merly chuckled at that response. "You know me Bastion, I'm not the type to stay around such a place for so long."
"Say's the guy who cuts class and spends time sleeping in his room." Bastion reminded him. Red Hat chuckled as he had no comment.
"Touchy." is all Red Hat as he walked off with Bastion to the location of the mist.
6pm
The key keepers go through the forest for a short while, and arrived at the lake's edge, shrouded in fog while a crescent moon hung in the sky. A sleek red carpet rolled out from within the fog, up to them. "I think she's expecting us." Bastion Commented.
"Why did you bring him here?" Chazz asked as he points at Red Hat.
"Red Hat was stubborn as he left the hospital bed and found him trying to walk back to his room." replied Bastion.
"Man, look Slacker! You're too injured to duel. Don't try and play hero. We'll handle this."
"Bite me cream puff." replied Red Hat with a smirk.
Chazz fumed in anger. "Why you! You're lucky your injured or otherwise I would clober you!"
"Enough!" Zane raised his voice. "The shadow rider is here, enough with your banter."
Crowler backed away from the lake and stayed far away but just close enough to be nearby them. Red Hat took notice of this. 'Coward. Then you wonder why I hate your guts.' Red Hat thought, but said nothing.
Back in the infirmary, Syrus soon woke up by a message by Bastion from his PDA. 'Syrus and Chumley, if you are listening to this message. Listen up the next shadow rider is at the lake. We think it's either gonna be me Chazz or Zane that will be challenaged. If you plan to come by, bring Jaden and Alexis with you guys if you can. Red Hat is with me as he left his hospital bed.' With that the message ended.
"So the next Shadow Rider is here." Alexis gets up from her bed, but stuggles to stand still. "We need to go and see this."
Soon Chumley came to the infirmary as he was running. "Syrus! Did you get the message!"
"I sure did! We have to see this right away... but." Syrus looked to see Jaden and Alexis. "How will we help them?"
That's when Jaden decided to wake up. "Sy, Chumley." Jaden then got up from his bed. Despite his injuries he was able to stand. "Chumley help out Alexis, Syrus help me when I need it."
"Jaden, are you sure you're okay?" Syrus asked worringly.
"I'll be fine Syrus. Just feeling a little stiff is all." After a few steps Jaden winced in pain. "Okay maye not fully recovered, but you get what I mean."
"I may be more injured then you Jaden, but we can't just sit around." Alexis sighed. "That, and Red Hat left on his own."
"Bastion said he found Red Hat and helped him out. He's with him now." Syrus reminded them.
"Alright let's go then. Chumley carry Alexis, Sy help me out when you can." said Jaden.
"Awe, do we have to?" asked Chumley.
"Normally I wouldn't allow it, but I can make an exception." resonded Alexis. Soon Chumley gave Alexis a piggyback ride as Syrus tried his best to help Jaden when walking.
Meanwhile in the Slifer Red dorm, in Red Hat's room. Blair was orginizing her stuff. Although she was also figgeting as she was wondering if Red Hat and Jaden were okay. As she was finishing up, she got a message from her PDA, this time from Red Hat.
'Blair, the next Shadow Rider is here and someone is about to duel. I'm with Bastion so don't worry about me. I'll show you footage via the PDA once the duel starts. Stay back and don't try to follow us. It's very dangerous so please stay put in my room.' with that the message ended.
"I hope all of you are ok." said Blair as she hoped nothing goes wrong as she stayed put as she was told.
The key keepers where waiting paiently at the lake, waiting for the shadow rider to appear. Soon a strong wind came out of no where. The key keepers took a closer lookto the lake to see the fog slightly lifting. They saw a large out of place castle in the middle of the lake, at the other end of the carpet. Soon they were approached by a beautifu woman with long green hair was walking on the red carpet, in a crimson red dress clinging to her. She was also wearing a golden necklace with an eye symbol.
"Gentlemen. I'm here for a challenger. I'll decide who, then you'll be following me to my castle." She spoke in a Transylvanian accent. As she was walking on the carpet, water was rippling outward with each step. As she reached the lakes edge, she took a look at the key keepers.
'Hm, I don't like most of them. I crave for one...' She thought, glancing off the side to Zane. She then gave Red Hat an uninterested look. 'Why does he fear this boy in the red hat. Nothing interesting about him.' She then glances back at Zane. "You'll be my opponent."
Chazz smirked at this. "You hear that, Zane? It sounds as through you're her type."
"Whatever, lets get this over with." Zane flattly stated.
'She is making a big mistake challenging Zane. He'll blow you away.' Crowler muttered from the back.
"Hold up!" A voice yelled out. The other key keepers turned around to see Syrus, Jaden, Chumley, and Alexis coming up to them, Chumley giving Alexis a piggyback ride and Syrus trying to help Jaden out. "We'll come with you all."
"If you all want to see despair that badly, then so be it." The woman gave a light chuckle. "Camula, vampire mistress of the Shadow Riders." When she looked up at the end of her introduction, her eyes glow red as a horde of bats appeared out of the fog. "Unless you want to become a fresh meal to my bats, follow me to my domain."
The key keepers nodded and followed her to the trail of the red carpet and soon arrived at her door step and went inside. As they continued to walk they reached a large wooden door that creaked open for them, revealing some stairs. They went up the stairs and walked through a torch lit corridor. After a short while of walking, they reached a large room with a chandelier hanging in the middle of the ceiling. Also, on a higher level was a walkway going all around the room with a balcony on either end.
"Get on one side and I'll head on the other." stated Camula as she walked on end of the balcony and Zane walked on another end. "Are you ready, darling?" Camula asked, addressing Zane.
"Let's duel." Zane flattly replied.
"Good luck, bro." Syrus said fearfully.
Jaden placed a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry Sy. Your bro got this."
Zane made his way up to the balcony at the end of the room. Camula made her way onto the other end where Zane was standing on.
"Time to explain. If I win, not only do I take your spirit and continue my quest to unleash the sacred beasts, you'll become my servent and hunt down the other key keepers. If you win however, I'll be on my way and leave your domain for good." Zane didn't say anything in response. He merly activated his duel disk. Camula did the same.

"I like to lead. My turn, I draw!" Camula draws
Hand 6
"I summon Pyramid Turtle in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1400)" A turtle with the shell of a pyramid appears onto the field. "I'll set one card facedown and end my turn." Camula ends her turn.
Hand 4
"That's all? Shame, My turn, I draw!" Zane draws.
Hand 6
"First I play Future Fusion! With this I send fusion material monsters from my deck to the grave then in two turns I get to special summon that fusion monster. I send Barrel Dragon and Blowback Dragon to the graveyard." Zane send both of his cards to the grave.
"Just what is Zane planning?" Red Hat muttered to himself.
"Now I special summon Cyber Dragon in attack mode! (Atk: 2100 Def: 1600) Now here's Cyber Phoenix in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1600) Battle, Cyber Dragon attack that Pyramid Turtle! Strident Blast!" Cyber Dragon fired a blast of fire at Pyramid Turtle.
Camula: 8000 - 7100 LP
"Pyramid Turtle effect, when he's destroyed I can special summon a zombie monster with 2000 or less defense from my deck. So I summon Vampire Lord in attack mode! (Atk: 2000 Def: 1500)" The Vampire took the place of the Pyramid Tutle as he emerge onto the field.
"So be it. I'll pace one card facedown and end my turn." Zane ends his turn.
Hand 2
"Very well. My turn, I draw!" Camula draws.
Hand 5
"I'll summon another Pyramid Turtle. (Atk: 1200 Def: 1400)" Another Pyramid Turtle appearson the field. "Battle, Pyramid Turtle attack that Cyber Phoenix!" The turtle charge in to slam at the mechanical phoenix. Cyber Phoenix retaliated by shooting red lasers from its wings destroying the both of them.
"Cyber Phoenix effect, when it's destroyed in battle, I get to draw one card." Zane explains as he draws his card.
"Don't forget my Pyramid Turtle, I get to special summon a zombie with 2000 or less defense from my deck. I choose Ryu Kokki in attack mode. (Atk: 2400 Def: 2000)" An undead being with the body of many skulls appeared on the field. "Now Ryu Kokki attack his Cyber Dragon!" As the fiend was about to attack, Zane was prepared.
"Go trap card! Mirror Force! This destroys all your attak position monsters!" As Ryu Koki launched it's attack, it was deflected by a barrier and destoyed itself and Vampire Lord.
"How dare you!?" She glared at Zane. "Very well, I'll play the continous spell Card of Safe Return! Everytime a monster special summoned from my graveyard, I get to draw 1 card. I'll end my turn here." Camula ends her turn.
Hand 3
"Very well, my turn I draw!" Zane draws.
Hand 4
"I summon this The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1600)" A monster appeared that looked to be a rock based monster with various eyes and what looked to be junk around it's body.
"That's werid, I never seen Zane play that monster before, but why did he play it?" Syrus asked. This question from Syrus annoyed Red Hat.
"You really are an idiot." Red Hat spat causing Syrus to hide behind Jaden. "That what's known as a fusion subsitute. It means Zane can use it to subsitute one of his fusion monsters materials but the other must be correct. Only these are different. You can tribute it and the fusion material monster to summon his fusion. There's a catch it's not treated as a fusion summon if he uses the tribute effect. He has no other choise as Zane's fusions have what I like to call Material claue. Meaning Zane can only fusion summon using exactly said material. The tribute effect isn't counted as a fusion summon." Red Hat explained. This lead the others to sweat drop.
"We wanted a summery, not an analyzation essay." Chazz commented.
"You all are hopeless." replied Red Hat.
"Lousy Slifer, dare makes a mockery out of this." Crowler muttered to himself as he was much farther away from the rest.
"I'll use The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion effect! By tributing it and my Cyber Dragon, I can special summon a fusion monster by using the materials needed. I special summon the Cyber Twin Dragon! (Atk: 2800 Def: 2100)" The twin headed machine dragon appeared onto the field. "Battle, Cyber Twin Dragon attack Camula directly with Double Strident Blast!" The machine dragon was about to launch its blast of fire, until Camula was ready.
"I'll play the trap, Call of the Haunted! With this I bring back a monster from my grave in this case Ryu Kokki! (Atk: 2400 Def: 2000) Thanks to Card of Safe Return, I get to draw 1 card." Camula explained as she drew her card once Ryu Kokki returned to the field.
"You'll need him as Cyber Twin Dragon can attack twice. Double Strident Blast!" Cyber Twin Dragon launched the first blast on Ryu Kokki destroying it. The second attack hit Camula directly.
Camula: 7100 - 6700 - 3900 LP
"Alright! Zane is beating her!" Syrus cheered.
"Your bro's got game." Jaden said as he clung to Syrus for a bit to stay standing.
Red Hat observed closer. 'She's not bothered by this. What is she planning though? Card of Safe Return will help but although...' Red Hat stopped his thoughts as he didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet.
"I'll set this facedown and call it a turn. Your move." Zane ended his turn.
Hand 2
Back in the Red Dorm, Blair was watching the duel over the PDA. She was glad to see Zane taking the lead and winning.
"That's my Zane. Show her whos the best." Blair said with glee. 'Thanks for showing me the match Red Hat.' Blair thought as she kept watching.
Camula rose to her feet after the blast and spoke up. "Darling, you do realize you're forcing me to reveal my ugly side?"
"Spare me your words, and make your move." Zane fattly said.
"Tch, I bet you talk to all girls like that." Camula mused.
"No. Just ones I don't like." Zane flattly replied.
"We'll see about that my turn, I draw!" Camula draws.
Hand 5
"It's my standby phase, so Vampire Lord comes back to my field in defense mode since he was destroyed by a card effect. (Atk: 2000 Def: 1500) Thanks to Card of Safe Return I get to draw one card." Camula draws her card and smiles. "I banish Vampire Lord to special summon Vampire Genisis! (Atk: 3000 Def 2100)" The blue-haired vampire disappeared and was replaced by a huge, purple beast with strange wing-like appendages on its back.
"That's not good." Syrus said.
Red Hat wasn't very impressed. 'Why are you impressed. The summoning condition is terrible. My guess is Camula want's to cycle through her cards with Card of Safe Return.'
"Now Vampire Genisis effect, I discard a zombie type monster then I get to special summon a zombie type monster from my grave with a lower level then the one I discarded. I discard Despair from the Dark to special summon Ryu Kokki back from my grave! (AtK: 2400 Def: 2000) And thanks to Card of Save Return I draw one card." The being filled with skulls returns to the field as Camula drew her card. "Now I'll play this Premature Burial! By simply paying 800 LP I get to sepcial summon a monster from my grave and equip it with this card. So return to the field Despair from the Dark! (AtK: 2800 Def: 3000) And thanks to Card of Safe Return I get to draw 1 card." As Shadow Figure appears onto the field as Camula draws again.
Camula: 3900 - 3100 LP
"Three monsters?" Chazz asked in disbelief.
"That's not all, she still has a normal summon too. So that will make four." Bastion explained.
"Battle, Vampire Genisis attack that Cyber Twin Dragon!" The purple behemonth glowed with a purple aura.
"Don't bother, go trap Sakuretsu Armor! Your Vampire Genisis is destroyed!" Zane anncouces as the Armored beast appears on the field and charges at Vampire Genisis destroying him.
"Fine, you leave me no choice. Despair from the Dark attack that Cyber Twin Dragon!" The shadow fiend appears in front of the machine dragon.
"Cyber Twin Dragon retaliate Double Strident Blast!" Both monsters attack and destroyed each other.
"Don't forget Ryu Kokki, attack him directly!" The skelteal being launched a wave of dark energy at Zane hitting him directly. Zane stood strong.
Zane: 8000 - 5600 LP
"Now I set two cards facedown and set a monster I end my turn here." Camula ends her turn.
Hand 2
"Alright my move. I draw!" Zane draws.
Hand 3
"It's my standby phase so Fusion Fusion activates. It's been two turns so here comes Gatling Dragon in attack mode! (Atk: 2600 Def: 1200) Now his effect, I toss 3 coins if any are heads I get to destroy monsters equal to the number of heads. Let's do this." Zane takes out a coin.
"He's risking it?" Syrus asked.
"Zane will have to be careful. Gatling Dragon effect says equal to the number of heads not up to. There is a word difference. So if he gets three heads he'll have to destroy his own monster too." explained Red Hat 'I only use is as a Cyberstein target for machine otk most of the time.'
Zane, begins to flip. The first one is heads. "That's one." Zane flips again this time landing tails. "This one is tails. One more time." Zane flips again. This time it once again lands on heads. "That's two heads so your facedown monster and your Ryu Kokki are destroyed! Go Blue Lightning Blast!" The mechanical dragon fires from its barrels blue lasers and a powerful laser from its cannon to destroy Ryu kokki and Camula's facedown monster.
"Ugh, darling you leave me no choice. I activate my facedown quickplay spell Mystical Space Typhoon! I destroy your Future Fusion spell." Powerful winds destroy the the Future Fusion spell. "Since it was destroyed you monster goes down with it." Without Future Fusion, Gatling Dragon was destroyed.
"I'll play this Pot of Averice! First I shuffle 5 cards from my grave back to my deck or extra deck then I draw 2 cards. I shuffle back Cyber Dragon, Cyber Twin Dragon, Cyber Phoenix, The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion, and Gatling Dragn." Zane shuffles his monsters to his deck and extra deck respectivly and draws his cards. "Now I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 more cards." Zane smiles. "I play Polymerization to fuse the three Cyber Dragons from my hand to form the Cyber End Dragon! (Atk: 4000 Def: 2800)" The three headed machine dragon emerged onto the field.
"Alright, that's Zane's best monster!" Syrus cheered.
"Your brother got this in the bag." replied Jaden.
"If this connects then Zane wins." said Alexis, still being carried by Chumley.
"Cyber End Dragon attack Camula directly! Super Strident Blaze!" The large machine dragon roared before it's three heads shot out a blast of energy, which combined into one huge energy stream.
"Forgetting my facedown!? I activate the trap Mirror Force! Now, darling, your Cyber End Dragon will be destroyed!"
Zane gritted his teeth as the trap activated. "I activate the quickplay spell De-Fusion, I return Cyber End Dragon to the extra deck and resummon the three Cyber Dragons to my field in defence mode. Since they are in defense mode your Mirror Force will not destroy them. (Atk: 2100 Def: 1600)"
"Very nicely done. Since Mirror Force only destroys attack position monsters, by putting them in defense mode the effect wont destroy the Cyber Dragons. This still gives Zane the advantage as Camula would has nothing left." Bastion explains.
"Since I have nothing else to do I end my turn." Zane ends his turn.

"You leave me no choice darling. My turn I draw!" Camula draws.
Hand 3
"I play my Pot of Greed, so that's two more cards." Camula draws her cards and smiles before chuckling to herself. "I play the spell Illusion Gate!" A stone door and archway rose up from the floor behind her.
"Illusion Gate?" Zane repeated, looking at the door confused.
"Uh oh. I've never heard of it." Jaden said. "You guys know what it does?"
"No." Bastion answered.
"Not me." Chazz said.
"I have no idea myself." responded Red Hat.
"Where in the world could she have a card like that?" Crowler muttered.
"Behold!" Camula announced. "First, this spell destroys all monsters on your field!" The doorway then opened wide, let out a foul wind and blinded everyone with a bright light that destroyed all three Cyber Dragons. "That's not all, this card allows me to special summon one monster from your graveyard ignoring it summoning conditions."
"What?" That statement made Zane's eyes widen.
"It's true you no longer have your Cyber End Dragon or your Gatling Dragon in the graveyard. I can still take on of your strongest monsters in your graveyard. Like your Barrel Dragon! (Atk: 2600 Def: 2200)" Barrel Dragon appears onto the field on Camula's side.
Zane scoffed. "No card is powerful enough to let you make a move like that. There must be some kind of catch."
"Yes, but just a tiny one that doesn't matter darling. During the end phase I have to give up 90 percent of my life points. Now you see why the cost is pointless." Camula explains.
"What is she talking about? Unless she gets more monsters, Zane will survive this round and she'll only have 300 life points left." Chazz said.
"Not by a long shot." Red Hat replied. "She wouldn't play it if she didn't have the intention of winning this turn."
"For a useless school boy, you are correct. I play the spell Monster Reborn! With this I bring back Despair from the Dark! (Atk: 2800 Def: 3000)" The shadow fiend emerges back onto the field. "Card of Safe Return is still on the field so I get to draw one card." Camula draws her card. "I summon Double Coston in attack mode! (Atk: 1700 Def: 1650)" Two ghost like beings appeared.
"Not good." Chazz said.
"Zane! No!" Jaden said in disbelief.
"Big brother!" Syrus exclaimed.
"My goodness! Zane lost!?" Crowler said who still stayed much father away as he looked away in horror.
'So this is what these shadow riders are capable of. Then we'll have to change our strategies. Not that I have to much.' Red Hat thought as he lowered his hat that Zane was about to lose to a Shadow Rider. Red Hat closed the transmission from his PDA. 'I'm sorry Blair, Zane lost.'
"This is the end of you. Double Coston, Despair from the Dark, and Barrel Dragon attack Zane directly!" Double Coston and Despair from the Dark launched dark shadow orbs at zane, while Barrel Dragon launched three blast of energy at him.
Zane: 5600 - 3900 - 1100 - 0 LP
Zane's spirit key droped from his neck and disappeared as he fell to his knees. The holograms disappeared as Camula began to walk towards Zane. "Now, you'll become my servant." Camula's eyes glowed red and soon Zane was surrounded by a dark his eyes opened they were now crimson red, as Zane stood up. "At last, darling you'ra all mine. A tad less talkative... but a darling throphy and servant. Together she will destroy these key keepers." Camula declared as Zane followed her not saying a word.
"As for the rest of you be gone!" Camula explaimed as a horde of bats appeared and swarmed the places forcing the key keepers to leave her domain as the bats began attacking them.
When the key keepers, including Syrus Chumley finally left the castle and all stumbled near the edge of the lake. The bats let up and returned to their domain in the castle. Everyone soon got up with Alexis and Jaden needing a little help. Red Hat however forced himself to walk off ignoring the pain he still has.
Syus was now on his knees, staring at the castle withtears coming from his eyes. "Just like that... he's gone... and joined her side against his will..."
"That's it, I had enough!" Syrus then turned to who said that.
"Jaden?"
"You hear me? I'm not gonna put up with this Camula!" He yelled. "What you did to Zane, I'm gonna put a stop to you!"
"Jaden..." Alexis muttered.
"Sure, I may not be up to snuff, but I don't care!" Jaden clenched his fist. "I'm taking you on! And one way or another, I'm gettng Zane back from you! Camula!" Jaden stood up and shouted before grabbing his chest in pain. "Camula, here I come! So get set to get your game on!"
Red Hat chuckled at Jaden's determination. 'There's more to it then meets the eye Jaden. You'll need help, but not from me. Somehow these Shadow Riders won't duel me. SoI'll have to help out in other ways.' Red Hat thought. He slowly tried to get away only for Bastion to stop him.
"And where do you think your going?" Bastion asked as he tried to help out Red Hat.
"I need to get back to my room Bastion." replied Red Hat. "Bastion, something is not right about all of this. I may not know what it is, but you'll have to trust me on this."
"I don't understand what you mean by that. Still, Red Hat I'll have to take you back to the nurses office." offered Bastion.
"I'd rather break a window on the Academy hallway then spend another minute there." scoffed Red Hat. "Take me to my dorm. I have my reasons why I'm even asking you this Bastion."
"Truly stubborn you are." commented Bastion. "Still not like I or anyone really is gonna change your mind so we may as well get this over with." Bastion then grabbed Red Hat's arm and placed it around his shoulders as he helped him out.
Red Hat smiled at this. "Thanks Bastion." The rest of the group went back to the Academy to get some rest, least for Jaden and Alexis.
Time 8pm
"It was already dark by the time Bastion and Red Hat made it back to the Red Dorm. Red Hat once he got close to the stairs let go of Bastion and slowly walked off. "I'll see you later Bastion."
"Do get some rest Red Hat, and please don't push yourself too hard. We just lost Zane and all of us are worried about the upcomming events." Bastion reminded him.
Red Hat merly chuckled. "Don't worry to much about me Bastion. Still there's something I want to do before we begin again tomarrow. Planning a new deck."
Bastion gave a warm smile. "So that's why you wanted me to help bring you here. Whatever it may be let's hope it will be enough to counter Camula."
"It will counter the both of them Bastion. Just you wait." with that Red Hat waved goodbye to Bastion as Bastion walked off and headed back to his dorm. As he got back to his room he saw Blair with a solemn look.
"Red Hat... did Zane lose?" asked Blair in a low voice.
Red Hat looked away. "I'm sorry Blair, Zane lost. Camula also possessed him. To get him back we have to beat Camula and Zane."
Blair looked down at the floor sadden to learn the news. Red Hat wanted to say something, but couldn't bring himself to say anything. 'What should I tell her? I don't know what you're supposed to do in this kind of situation.' thought Red Hat.
That's when Blair then looked up to Red Hat. "Red Hat you said Camula has to be beaten to help Zane right? So why don't I help?"
Red Hat was taken aback from this. 'Huh? You're willing to go in to rescue Zane? I'm sorry Blair I can't let you do that.' Red Hat thought as he spoke up. "No Blair, it's too dangerous. Jaden even said, he'll face Camula, but he can't do it alone."
"Then I'll be Jaden's parnter and show them the power of a Maiden in Love!" Blair tells Red Hat fully determinded.
"While I admire that Blair, still many thing's can go wrong." Red Hat went to his drawers and takes out many cards. "I have somethong planned that will catch Camula off guard." Red Hat said as he began constructing another deck this time in his bottom bunck bed. Something inside him told him something was off.
"Who do you have in mind to help Jaden if not me?" Blair asked.
Red Hat merely chuckled at that. "Bastion."
Blair simply shook her head at that, but didn't comment on it and went to sleep as it was getting late. Red Hat in the meanwhile kept on working on a deck that would help Jaden stop Camula and Zane in the next duel.
Time 11pm
Chancellor Sheppard stood in his office, looking through the window as another storm raged on outside. His office was dark and the only light present was his computer's monitor, and the occasional lightning flashes. He was greatly concerned for the gates that held the Sacred Beasts. "Two of the seven gates have been unlocked..."
A whirring sound made him look over his shoulder. It was his monitor that whirred to life and showed a dark figure wearing a mask with tubes hanging around it.
"You disappoint me." The figure said. "Your excellent duelists only excel in losing. Why don't you just give up and surrender the five remaining keys now?"
"It's not over!" Sheppard replied. "And if I know my students, they'll never give up, no matter what the odds! I mean after all, they've come to this island to be champions!"
"Hmmm, and they'll end up victums. My vampire is ready to feed again." The figure chuckled darkly. "Don't think I don't know about the boy in the red hat."
"What are you on about?" asked Sheppard.
"I told my Shadow Riders to avoid him ever since Nightshroud failed to stop him. That boy is extremely dangerous to my plans. The fact a chaos user came to your academy is not something I was prepared for. A change of plans mind you." The figure explain.
"Just what do you mean by that?" Sheppard asked again.
"That is for you to figure out." The screen turned off, leaving Sheppard confused.
In the Obelisk Dorm, Crowler was in his room sitting on his desk and covered his head with his arm Crowler was in distain with what he witnissed earlier. 'How could I let this this happen. Zane is now gone! I should have went in there and protected my students not cower in fear.' Despite what he claimed he refused to leave his desk.
Friday
Time 7am
In the infirmary, Alexis lay down on her bed keeping an eye on her brother, hoping for him to get better and wake up. But so far, nothing had changed. Jaden was asleep as well. Red Hat was nowhere to be found. Alexis wondered where he was as he wasn't fully recovered.
Alexis turned to face Jaden and saw him tossing a bit in his sleep, groaning in pain with every movement. "Jaden... get well. After all, with my brother still unconscious, and Zane being captured by Camula, we'll need all the help we can get to fight the Shadow Games and Camula."
Meanwhile at the lake, Chazz and Bastion were standing in front of the unrolled carpet leading to the castle , while Syrus was pushing and dragging a reluctant rofessor Banner, who had his cat in his arms. The area around a huge part of the island was covered in very thick fog.
"Come on, Professor Banner." Syrus begged. "You have to duel that vampire! I mean, you're a shadow games expert!"
"I can't duel!" Banner protested. "Who will take care of my cat!? And for the record, I don't even have a spirit key! Why do you wan't me to this!"
Bastion PDA then started beeping. He took a look and saw a message. It was from Red Hat. 'Bastion come over to the Ra Dorm. I tried to go further but tired out. I messaged Chumley earlier to go and get Jaden and Alexis. Bastion I need you help, but not for the reasons you think.' with that the message ended.
"I'll be back you guys, I'll do and get Red Hat from my dorm." Bastion then heads back to his dorm to find out what Red Hat wants.
"Don't worry, this is clearly a job for Chazz Princeton anyway!" bragged Chazz.
Time 7:30am
Bastion ran back to his dorm to see Red Hat sitting nearby the dorm with a slight pained expression. "Red Hat I have arrived. What is it exactly you need?"
"Bastion, I have a favor to ask you." Bastion got closer to Red Hat as he continued. "I'm certain Camula is gonna use Zane to force a Tag Duel. I don't trust Chazz or Crowler to help out Jaden." Red Hat then takes out a deck. "Take this deck and use it to duel Camula and Zane."
Bastion was taken aback by this. "But Red Hat, this is your deck. I can't just simply use a deck that you made."
Red Hat shook is his head. "This is a stun deck I made. Camula is expecting something else from you. This is for the element of surprise. Take a look."
Bastion takes Red Hat's new deck and takes a look at the deck and quickly looks over every card in the deck. Needless to say Bastion was stunned in what he was looking here. "Red Hat, you build this deck to counter their decks?"
Red Hat simple nodded. "This deck was made to stun both of their decks and slow them down enough so you and Jaden can win." Red Hat then get's up and slowly tries to walk. "Mind helping to get to see the match. Chumley is already heading to the location with Jaden and Alexis."
Bastion put away the deck Red Hat constructive and helps him out. "Time to get a move on, and don't push yourself too hard Red Hat."
"Touche."
Bastion and Red Hat returned to where the others were and soon Jaden, Chumley, and Alexis came by towards the group. "The cavarlry's here!"
"We don't need Banner when we got Jaden." Alexis spoke up.
"Not just Jaden, me as well." said Red Hat.
"What's up?" Jaden asked.
"For the last time, you can't!" Syrus said.
"Yeah, the both of you are still hurt, slackers." Chazz reminded them.
"You both are hopeless without us. Don't even pretend you can handle this." Red Hat replied with a smug grin.
"Why you! I can't wait to clober you!" snapped Chazz.
Alexis sighed at this. "Even if Red Hat does join in and help Jaden, see back at the hospital..."
"You're finally awake!" Alexis got off her bed and pulled Atticuss oxygen mask.
He spoke up weakly. "Alexis... I need to tell you about her. The vampire known as Camula. You can not defeat her by convientional means. She has a shadow charm that givers her the power to use souls and possess others. I see you've seen her use it already. You can temporaily stop her with another charm. Here."
With all of his remaining strenght, Atticus removed the Shadow Charm around him and gave JAden the other half. "This shadow charm with temporaily stop her powers. Be warned since the shadow charms they have can possess you if you lose then, they can force you to duel each other."
"Knowing all of this; it's our best chance to stop Camula." Jaden spoke up.
"We have to strike quickly to stop her and free Zane." said Alexis.
As they were about to leave Atticus spoke up. "Alexis... forgive me." Atticus then collapsed as he went back to sleep.
Alexis eyes widen at that, but made no comment. 'You weren't yourself Atticus. I forgive you. You would never intentionaly hurt me in such a way.'
"If we can stop her from using her shadow powers, we can duel with all our might, rather then just standing scared." Alexis explained.
"Doesn't scare me." Chazz said.
"Speak for yourself." Red Hat muttered.
"So we fight fire with fire." Alexis continued. "We've got our own shadow charm."
"Compliments of Atticus..." Jaden said, showing his medallion halves.
"Alright then, let's get going." said Red Hat.
At that, everyone walked inside the castle, with Bastio giving Red Hat some support since he was still weak after his his duel, despite how much Red Hat denies it. Professor Banner though stayed behind as he watched his students leave. "I hope all of you come out okay." Banner then walks away from the castle.
They entered, more determined than ever. "Alright, Camula, let's geo!" Jaden called out. "I'm here for Zane, and I'm not leaving until I get him back!" A flock of bats flew out of the darkness. The group dashed through the hallway, trying to avoid the bats until they reached the room where Zane had been defeated. They looked up and saw the vampire mistress standing on top of one of the balconies.
"Actually, truth be told dear, you're not leavig here again." She stated. "Not a single one of you are!"
Red Hat turned to Jaden. "Jaden, I'm not at full power, you duel her with some help."
"Isn't that cute? The big bad boy in the red hat needing someone else." Camula said mockingly. "Did you forget I have your best duelist to assist me." Zane then appears next to Camula side with a stotic expression.
"You don't scare me Camula. I will free Zane from your control!" said Jaden.
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Camula replied. "I have the top student at my side. You think you can beat the both of us?"
"Not alone, but as a team." Bastion said as he got next to Jaden's side, much to the surprise of everyone else, except Red Hat.
'With the stun deck I made for Bastion, hopefully they both win. Some cards are not meant to work in tandem. Jaden also needs a lot of help too.' thought Red Hat, as he then took out his PDA to record footage for Blair to watch back at the Slifer Red dorm.
"If you both are so desperate to lose your keys, then that's fine by me. As they say killing two birds with one stone." said Camula as she readied her duel disk. Zane also readied his duel disk.
Jaden glared at her before activating his duel disk. Bastion did the same the same thing.
"Duel"

"Alright, Camula get your game on! Cause when someone duels my friends and turns them them into brainwashed puppets, it put's me in a bad mood!" said Jaden
"And let me tell you something. I don't care." Camula flatly said.
"Argh, then maybe this will change your mind. My move, I draw!" Jaden draws.

'Okay not the best hand in the world. Still I need to watch out for her cards.' Jaden thought as he continued. "I summon Elemental HERO Sparkman in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 Def: 1400) Next I'll throw down a facedown and end my turn." Jaden eds his turn.

"If you're in such a hurry to lose then so be it. I draw!" Camula draws.
Hand 6
"I summon Pyramid Turtle in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1400) Battle, Pyramid Turtle attack Sparkman!" Pyramid Turtle charges at Sparkman much to the others surprise.
"But why? Sparkman fight back, Static Shockwave!" Sparkman retaliates as it shoots out a blast of electricity, destroying Pyramid Turtle.
Camula & Zane: 8000 - 7600 LP
"But why would she do that?" Syrus asked, only causing Red Hat to sigh at this.
"Pyramid Turtles effect, I get to summon a zombie monster with 2000 or less defense. So I summon Vampire Lord in attack mode! (Atk: 2000 Def: 1500) Now I continue my battle phase, Vampire Lord attack that Sparkman!" Vampire Lord get's close and impale Sparkman and destroying him.
Jaden & Bastion: 8000 - 7600 LP
"Go trap, Hero Signal! Since you destoryed Sparkman, I can special summon an Elemental HERO from my deck." Jaden announced.
"How futile, you may want to pay attention." Jaden looks at her with a confused look, until Vampire Lord appeared in front of him and slashed him, Jaden's medallion hlaves were accidentaly put together. As soon as that happened, the medallion began to glow. The others though were oblivious to it.
"Vampire Lord's effect. You see when he does damage to you, he has what's known as the bleed effect. Meaning you must send one card spell, trap, or monster from you deck to the grave. I chose spell" Camula explains smirking at Jaden's pain.
"Argh, well guess I have no choice then." Jaden looks at his deck and sends Polymerization to the grave. "Since that's done, I'll summon Elemental HERO CLayman in defense mode! (Atk: 800 Def: 2000)" Clayman appeared onto the field as he kneeled down in front of him with it's arm crossed.
"Is that all you have? I'll end my turn with a facedown." Camula ends her turn.

"Alright my turn, I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 6
"I'll play this the spell Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2." Bastion discards Dark Magician of Chaos and Reflect Bounder. "I set a monster then I place 2 cards facedown and that ends my turn." Bastion ends his turn. 'If this goes well then we'll have an advantage.'
Hand 3
"That's all? Disappointing. My turn, I draw!" Zane draws.
Hand 6
"Go trap card! Trap Dustshoot! I can only activate it if my opponent has four or more cards in their hand. I can look at your hand then I get to shuffle one card back into the deck. So let me see Zane." Bastion explained.
Zane despite his stotic expresion, glared at Bastion. "Fine, take a look." Six cards appeard near Bastion and saw two Cyber Dragons, Cyber Phoenix, Sakuretsu Armor, Limiter Removal, and Power Bond.
"I'll return Power Bond back into the deck!" Bastion declares as Zane reluctantly returns his Power Bond to the deck. "Now I play the trap card! Crush Card Virus! I tribute a dark monster with 1000 or less attack. In this case my facedown monster which is Sangan who has exactly 1000 attack points!" Sangan was tributed, but not before a virus was shot out destroying Vampire Lord and two of Zane Cyber Dragos from his hands. "All monsters on the field and in the hand of the current players turn with 1500 or less attack are destroyed! Then for the next three turns we can look at the cards your draw. If any are monsters with 1500 or more attack then they are destroyed as well." Bastion explained as the field cleared. "Sangan effect now activates allows me to search for a monster with 1500 or less attack. I'll choose this one D.D Warrior Lady."
"Where did Bastion get all these cards?" Syrus asked. Red Hat smirked but made no comment.
"Yeah, what gives? Bastion never played such powerful cards before." Chazz comments.
"Don't think you won yet. I summon Cyber Phoenix in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1600) I'll set this facedown and end my turn." Zane ends his turn.
Hand 1
'Excellent just as I calculated. Now that facedown has to be Sakuretsu Armor. Zane would be taking a risk if he used Limiter Removal just to stop one attack and lose his monster. If we play our cards right and time everything perfectly, then we'll defeat Camula in no time, and bring back Zane.' Bastion thught.
"Alright my move I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 5
"I'll play the spell Pot of Greed, so I draw 2 cards." Jaden draws his cards. "Now I play Polymerization, to fuse Elemental HERO Burstinatrix with King of the Swamp to create Elemental HERO Flame Wingman! (Atk: 2100 Def: 1200) Now I play the spell R Righteous Justice! Since I have two Elemental HEROs, I can destroy both of those facedowns!" Both facedowns on Camula and Zane side were destroyed.
"Battle, Flame Wingman attack that Cyber Phoenix! Inferno Rage!" Flame Wingman blasted Cyber Phoenix with fire from it's dragon arm.
Camula & Zane: 7600 - 6500 LP
"Since you destroyed Cyber Phoenix by battle I get to draw one card." said Zane, as he drew his card.
"Don't forget Flame Wingman's super power, you take damage equal to your destroyed monster attack points!" Jaden points out, as Flame Wingman flew up close to Zane and gave him a second blast of fire.
Camula & Zane: 6500 - 5300 LP
"That's not all if the card you drew was a monster with 1500 or more attack then it's destroyed." Bastion stated.
"That's because it's not. It's the a spell known as Cathedral of Nobles." Zane shows them the card before shuffling his hand.
"That's fine by me. I'll set this card facedown and play the continuous spell Mirage of Nightmare! With that I end my turn." Jaden ends her turn.

"My turn, I draw!" Camula draws.
Hand 5
"Don't forget Crush Card effect, lets see what you drew." Bastion stated.
"It's the spell known as Overpowering Eye so it's safe, also Vampire Lord comes back as he was destroyed by a card effect. (Atk: 2000 Def: 1500)" Vampire Lord returns to the field glaring at Jaden and Bastion.
"Mirage of Nightmare effect, I now get to draw four cards since it's your standby phase. Then during my turn I have to discard the same number of cards I drew." Jaden explains, as he drew his cards.
"Let me guess you are gonna discard it with Emergancy Provisions." Camula points out with a bored expression.
"Huh? How did you know that? Well you're correct I play the quick play spell Emergency Provisions! By sending Mirage of Nightmare to the grave I gain 1000 LP. So now I won't have to discard any cards."
Jaden & Bastion: 7600 - 8600 LP
"You'll need those life points as now I play Overpowering Eye! This spell by targeting a zombie monster with 2000 or more less attack, it can attack directly this turn. Since the only zombie monster I have is Vampire Lord, I'll target him!" Vampire Lord eyes glows red and menecing. "Vampire Lord attack Jaden directly!" Vampire Lord bypasses Jaden's monsters and quickly slashes him before slashing at his duel disk.
Jaden & Bastion: 8600 - 6600 LP
"Since Vampire Lord did damage to you, you send a card from you deck of my choice. I chose trap card." Camula declared.
"Yeah, yeah I get it, the bleed effect." Jaden takes a look at his deck and mills Magic Cylider.
"Now I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Camula ends her turn.
Hand 2
"Alright, my turn I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 4
"I'll play this card Monster Reborn and bring back this monster from my grave. I bring you Dark Magician of Chaos! (Atk: 2800 Def: 2600) his effect allows to add back a spell card from our graveyard. So I'll take Jaden's Pot of Greed." Jaden takes out Pot of Greed and throws it to Bastion as he caught it.
"To bad he's not staying around, cause I play my trap Torrentrial Tribute!" Camula announces as her trap revealed itself. "This card activates when a monster is summoned, all mnsters on the field are destroyed! As an added bonus if your Dark Magician of Chaos leaves the field he gets banished." Powerful blue blast of lightning destroy all monsters on the field.
"That may be, but I still a summon. I summon D.D Warrior Lady in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 Def: 1600) Battle, D.D Warrior Lady attack Camula directly!" The different dimension warrior charges in to attack Camula.
"Did you forget about my trap? I activate the trap, Wildspread Ruin! This card destroys your monster!" A mine appeared in front of D.D Warrior Lady. The mine self destructed as the warrior got close and destroyed her.
"I may have made a mistake but no matter. I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 cards." Bastion draws his cards as he threw Pot of Greed card back to Jaden. "Now I play my own Pot of Greed. So that's 2 more cards for me." Bastion draws his two cards again. "I set three cards facedown and end my turn."
Hand 2
"Very well my turn I draw!" Zane draws.
Hand 3
"Let's see what you drew Zane." Bastion stated.
"Its Pot of Greed so it's safe. Vampire Lord returns to the field. (Atk: 2000 Def: 1500)" Vampire Lord returns to the field ready to strike again.
"Not quite go trap card! Bottomless Trap Hole! With this card a monster or monsters is summoned with 1500 or more attack those monsters get banished!" A deep hole appeared underneath Vampire Lord and was sucked in as the hole disappeared.
"Clever, now I play Pot of Greed! So I draw two cards." Zane draws his cards. "The cards are Metal Reflect Slime and Graceful Charity. Now I play Graceful Charity, I draw three cards then I discard two. Because of the effect, if I draw a monster with at least 1500 attack points it wont be destroyed unless I refused to discard it. I drew The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion Cyber Dragon and Reckless Greed." Zane draws his cards and discards The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion and his third Cyber Dragon. "Now I play the continuous spell Cathedral of Nobles!"
"Uh, what does that card do? Anyone?" Syrus asked. Red Hat simply facepalmed at that.
"What it means Syrus, is now Zane can play trap cards the turn they are set." Alexis commented.
"I'll set these two cards facedwn and play one of them, the trap Reckless Greed! This traps allows me to draw two cards, but the next two draw phases are skipped." Zane declares as he draws his cards. "This time it's Metamorphosis and Overload Fusion."
"Uh wait a minute? Overload Fusion? What kind of fusion card is that?" Jaden asked.
"You'll find out if I get to that point. Now my other trap which you all know is Metal Reflect Slime! This card summons itself as an effect monster in defense mode. (Atk: 0 Def: 3000) Now I play the spell Metamorphosis! By tributing a monster, I can special summon a fusion monster with the same level. Since Metal Reflect Slime is level 10, guess who's comming. The Cyber End Dragon! (Atk: 4000 Def: 2800)" Zane's three-headed ace monster roared onto the field.
"Go trap card! Another Bottomless Trap Hole! This card now banishes your Cyber End Dragon!" Like what happened to Vampire Lord, a large hole appeared underneath Cyber End Dragon as the metalic dragon was sucked in.
"Grr, you leave me no choice! I play Overload Fusion!" Zane declared with anger, this caught everyone by surprised.
Red Hat merely glared. 'Must be Camula's doing. No way Zane would play this recklessly and full of anger.'
"This fusion card, by banishing machine monsters from my graveyard I can summon a dark machine fusion monster. Granted I only need two with one needing at least a Cyber Dragon. That's where The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion comes into play in my graveyard. I can substitute it for a Cyber Dragon. I banish The Light - Hex Sealed Fusion, my three Cyber Dragons and Cyber Phoenix, to create Chimeratech OverDragon! (Atk ? Def: ?)" A large metalic dragon appeared with multiple heads, which all of them roared, which cause the place to shake.
"Woah I never seen play this monster before!?" Syrus yelped.
"Zane..." Alexis muttered, feeling worried about her friends.
"Chimeratech Overdragon effect, all other cards on my field get sent to the graveyard, then it gains 800 attack and defense points per fusion material so that's 4000 attack and defense points since I banished five monsters!" As Chimeratech was about to power up, Bastion was prepared.
"Not so fast Zane!" This caught Zane and everyone else by surprise. "You triggered my continuous trap card Skill Drain! By paying 1000 LP Now all effect monsters on the field and those that are about to be summon or effects to be activated are negated!" The metalic dragon soon short circuited as signaling it's power was drained.
Jaden & Bastion: 6600 - 5600 LP
"Wait, this can't be!" said Zane in disbelief, as his machine dragon was now powerless.
"Way to go Bastion!" Jaden cheered.
"This can't be! You never play cards like that!? You have to be cheating!" Camula exclaimed.
"Cheating?" Bastion repeated. "It's not really cheating, if I out played you. If you mean this isn't my deck, then you still don't have a point."
"What does he mean it's not his deck?" asked Syrus confusedly. Red Hat then started to laugh.
Camula glared at Red Hat. "You! You were the one to set this up!"
Red Hat chuckled at her anger. "I knew you were always up to something, as I've been observing carefully." explained Red Hat. "They way you predicted Zane's moves and the fact you have that card Illusion Gate. You wanted to put Zane in a situation where he would summon Cyber End Dragon and use it against him but you had to or otherwise you had no comeback and cycling cards with Card of Safe Return."
Camula's jaw then dropped beyond further what most people could, at the same time, a thick tongue came out and a vicious pair of fangs could be seen. "You'll pay for this! I'll destroy you for making a mockery out of me!" Camula sneered as her face returned to normal. Her shadow charm began to glow and black smoke started to appear. Then Jaden's medallion glowed bright and pushed back the black smoke.
"You didn't think I'll let you get away with this!" Jaden exclaimed. "I'm not letting you put my friends in danger. I'm getting Zane back from you!"
"Just try it then." said Camula.
"Since I can't make anymore plays, I end my turn" Zane ends his turn.
Hand 1
"Alright time to get my game one. My turn I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 5
"Alright my turn to play Graceful Charity! I draw three cards and then discard two." Jaden draws then discards Elemental HERO Necroshade and Elemental HERO Bubbleman. "Now I play this card Giant Truenade! This is to return Skill Drain back to the hand and the rest of spell and traps on the field!" Green-Colored winds apeared and bounced back Skill Drain back to Jaden's hand as Bastion threw the card to him. Cathedral of Nobles was also returned to Zane's hand. "Here's the fun part I play Miracle Fusion! With this I bansih King of the Swamp and Sparkman to create Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman! (Atk: 2500 Def: 2100)" Shining Flare Wingman apeared and shined s brightly Camula was forced to shed her eyes, until the light dimmed down.
"So you summoned him." Camula then noticed Jaden's medallion glowing. "That shadow charm!"
"Took you long enough to noticed. You see, when your Vampire Lord first attacked me, the Mediallion then turn whole. Not only that it stopped you from using your shadow magic on us. You were hoping for Illusion Gate were you." Jaaen explained.
"So what if I was. You still won't beat us this turn." Camula remarked.
"There's more." Red Hat spoke up. "I was observing the duel. When you dueled Zane, you practically knew what he was playing and you had to use Card of Safe Return to constantly cycle through your cards. Then you got all surprised when Bastion played all these traps against Zane."
"So you almost figured it out. Fine, I'll tell you. You didn't think my bats were just for deceration, did you?" A few bats appeared and flew around her. "They have been spying on all of you. as they told me their weaknesses. It would have given me an advantage. That is until you had to interfere." Camula explained, glaring at Red Hat.
"Man, never thought she stoop so low to spy on all of us." Chazz commented.
"No kidding, thats a new low." Alexis muttered as she finally got off of Chumley.
"Now it's time to end this duel. You see, for every Elemental HERO in my graveyard, Shining Flare Wingman gains 300 extra attack points. I have exactly 5 Elemental HEROs including the ones I discarded which are Bubbleman and Necroshade. So that's 1500 extra attack points. So now you see why I had to return Skill Drain. (Atk: 2500 - 4000 Def: 2100) I'm not done. Since Necroshade is in the graveyard. I can normal summon this Elemental HERO Bladedge! (Atk: 2600 Def: 1800)" Bladedge appears on the field, striking a pose as it's ready to attack.
"I see now. If Jaden kept Skill Drain on the field then Camula and Zane will be left with 200 life points left. Unless Jaden had a Premature Burial or Monster Reborn, Jaden wouldn't be able to finish them." Red Hat pointed out.
"No you can't! This is unacceptable!" Camula sneered.
atech "I can and I will! Bladedge attack Chimeratech Dragon with Slice and Dice attack!" Bladedge charges at Chimertech Overdragon and pireces the powerless dragon and destroying it.
Camula & Zane: 5300 - 2700 LP
"Now Shining Flare Wingman end this duel now with Solar Flare!" The shinng hero jumped and dove down, striking bth Camula and Zane.
Camula & Zane: 2700 - 0 LP
"That's game!" Jaden said, doing his trade mark pose.
"This isn't the end! You hear me!" Camula sneered, as Zane was now unconscious. Soon much to everyone's surprise a ray of light appeared above Camula. Red Hat quickly ended the footage as he shut of his PDA.
"You have failed Camula." a deep voice said within the light.
"You! You promised me I would get what I desired for helping you!"
"It's too late. You have failed, and I'm taking your shadow charm." A metalic arm then appeared and grabbed Camula's neck as it detatched the shadow charm from her neck.
"You lied to me! You'll pay for doing this to me!" Camula sneered at the voice.
"Rest in peace Camula, without the shadow charm you won't survive for long." The voice said as the light disappeared leaving no trace, much to everyone's confusion.
"Don't think you seen the last of me!" Camula then disappears in a cloud of dust completely, never to be seen again.
Soon Jaden spotted Zane after Camula disappeared. "Look it's Zane!" Jaden then rushed to Zane's side, along with Syrus and Chumley. Bastion went down to meet up with Red Hat.
"Your strategy worked. Thanks for the help Red Hat." Bastion thanked, as he gave him back his deck.
Red Hat nodded as he took the deck. "It's no trouble Bastion, and good work at there."
Suddenly, the castle began to shake violently. "Guys!" Alexis screamed. "The castle is falling apart!"
"Let's go!" Bastion shouted as he helped Red Hat a bit as Chazz helped out Alexis. Jaden and Chumley lifted Zane over their shoulders. Everyone ran out of the castle as fast as they could.
All made it just in the nick of time after narrowly crossing the lake. They watched as the whole castle crumbled into nothingness. Shortly after the dark clouds disappeared, and the sun shined brightly in the sky.
"At last, the nightmare is finally over." said Alexis as they all took a glance at the lake.
"This one at least." replied Jaden. "Camula was just the second of the Shadow Riders. That means more are on the way."
"I need to head back to my room. I'll see you guys later." Red Hat waved as he tried to run off as fast as he could.
"What's his deal?" Chazz asked. "He sure looked like he was in a hurry to leave." the rest glanced to where Red Hat was running off.
Red Hat made it back to the Slifer Red dorm. Much to his surprise no one followed him. Red Hat then entered his room and saw Blair sitting near his desk.
"Is it true? The vampire woman is finally defeated and gone?" Blair asked. Curious to what she whitnessed in her PDA's recording.
"Camula is gone and defeated and is never coming back." asured Red Hat.
Blair then smiled and jumped in glee. "Yay! I just knew Jaden would do it and he freed Zane too! Awesome!"
Red Hat sweat dropped at her actions. 'You won't give Bastion credit? Even though Jaden needed Bastion to help him out, and that was with my deck I made.' Red Hat then shook his head. 'It doesn't matter. What matters is, everything is said and done. Least until the next threat arrives.'
A/N: The card called Cathedral of Nobles is now called Temple of the Kings. I don't know why it was changed but whatever. It's also the pre-errata version. Reason I changed it up a bit was cause this duel had to changed so it matches Tag Force to some degree. Also why Illusion Gate is different. That ruling with Graceful Charity, was always there, just thought I point that out. Zane in Tag Force has Chimeratech Overdragon. I may get flag for using that card early but of well. Next time, well be doing another Tag Force event with Blair as it's been a while since I did one. Until next time.
