Duel Distractions - Remix
A/N: This took far too long being a two part episode being stretched into one, but I digress. Also had a lot of personal issues IRL which I will not go into. That aside, the dialoge may seem jaring. That's because I used mostly the sub with some dialoge from the dub. Mostly for gags. So it may come off as disorginaized, but I just found this way a lot funnier for different reasons. Also a lot of changes cause of course this based on Tag Force and not only the anime. There are some gags many of you may not like, but who really cares lol. Anyway happy late new years folks and hope you enjoy.

Time 5:45am
It was early in the morning at Duel Academy. Over by the Cliffside, Bastion had woke early and stared out into the horizon. As Bastion stretches, soon began to have thoughts about the situation at hand as of late.
'Ever since that duel with Camula it's been eerily quiet... too quiet.' Bastion thought. 'When the next Shadow Rider arrives, it could be my turn to duel alone.' Bastion takes out his spirit key from his pocket and looks at it before putting it back. 'With two of the seven spirit gates already open, it's more important then ever that I be prepared.' Bastion then open his blazer, revealing his six deck cases. 'Good thing I'm well equiped.'
Bastion tool out one of his decks and looked through the cards. "Huh?" He stopped when he came upon one paticular card. "Where on earth did this card come from?" Bastion wondered. The intellectual Ra pndered for a moment before shaking his head. "Silly distraction. Well, nothing distracts me."
Time 6:15 am
At the Slifer Dorm, Jaden, Syrus and Chumley were snoring away peacefully, despite the fact it's a school day. That was about to change by Bastion. He activated his duel disk and brought out Barrel Dragon.
Bastion put his hands over his ear. "Alright, ready... get set... and FIRE!" Barrel Dragon fired off shots from it's cannons, which was more then enough to wake the three slifers and make Jaden fall out of his bed.
"Hit the snooze button." Chumley complained.
"More like the snooze trigger." Syrus added.
"That's getting up with a bang." Jaden commented. They then heard laughter from Bastion and saw him turning off his duel disk. "Bastion?"
"Good morning sleepyheads!" Bastion greeted.
"Yeah... well it was good..." Syrus mumbled.
"Yes, now that we're all awake, how about some good old fashioned daybreak duel exercises?" Bastion suggested, earning groans from the Slifer Trio. "I'll even wake up Red Hat for some. He can use it." Bastion states as he heads to Red Hat's room and repeats the process with him.
"Gah!" Red Hat gets up accidently hitting his head on the bunk bed. "What was that for Bastion?" groaned Red Hat and he rubbed his head while wearing his hat.
"Red Hat, since you are now awake. How about some training exercises?" Bastion suggested.
"I don't got a choice now do I? May as well, as much as I rather sleep." stated Red Hat.
"Come on now, you spend so much time sleeping, you rival Jaden in that aspect. A little excerise wouldn't hurt." said Bastion. "Also do you always sleep with your hat on?"
Red Hat got off his bed and began to get ready. "I never take this hat off unless I'm in the shower. Why is that isn't really any of your business. Sorry to say Bastion."
Bastion shook his head at that. "Well then, now that's out of the way lets begin!"
Time 6:45am
"One, two, draw! One, two, draw! One, two, draw!"
The gang were now standing at the cliff where Bastion was earlier. Red Hat was further away from both the group and Bastion. All of them had their duel disks on and decks at ready, repeating the same motions, following Bastions example.
"Yeah... this was worth getting up for." Jaden muttered.
"Quiet, you'll make me lose count. Bastion is kinda scary sometimes." Syrus whispered as he drew.
It was Chumely that noticed the latest card Syrus drew, and held it still to get a better look at it. It was a card he was familiar with, as Syrus always keeps it close to himself and in his deck. "What the... Is that Thunder Nyan Nyan?"
"Yeah it is." Syrus replied with a small blush on his face. "It's my idol card! I always put her in my deck."
"It's the same with me Syrus." Chumeley pulled out a copy of Dian Keto the Cure Master and showed it to him.
"So, you really like them older huh Chum?" Syrus said.
"It reminds me of my mom back at home. I have it in there as a charm."
Red Hat raised an eyebrow as he overheard all of that while continuing his 'excercises'. 'But why though? All you're going is knee capping your own decks.'
Syrus faced Jaden before looking at Red Hat. "Hey you have one too, right, Jaden? An Idol card?"
"Well for me just the cards I like." Jaden answered. "They bring loads of luck!"
Red Hat eye twitched as he was asked such. "That would be Pot of Greed for me."
Syrus looked at Red Hat confused. "Why that card?"
"It's the gift that keeps on giving, now change the subject. I refuse to talk about this nonsense." Red Hat spat at Syrus.
"BEG YOUR PARDON!?" Bastion interrupted them, clearly not happy at the moment. "What are these 'Idol Cards' of yours?! Do you think you'll win against those Shadow Riders with girls on your mind?!"
"Did he say girls?" Syrus asked, confused.
"We aren't battling the Shadow riders though..." Chumley pointed out. "Besides what's wrong with having them in our decks anyway?"
Bastion and Red Hat scoffed at that. Red Hat though for different reasons. "If you're making your decks seriously, then you shouldn't have one of those cards!" Bastion had a light blush before shaking his head at the thought. "Let's just get back to our dueling excercises, alright? Idol cards are things the weak have!"
"But, when you have a card like this, you'll be cured, when in a pinch!" Syrus said, holding up the card in question.
Red Hat scoffed, clearly getting angry at that asinine logic. 'Are you that much of a retard Syrus?'
"Quit it!" Bastion shouted, startling Syrus and Chumley enough to make them fall over. "If you clear your mind of mundane thoughts, even a pinch will also feel refreshing. Wipe away your bad thoughts and now, practice. Practice!"
"I wonder, is Bastion isn't interested in girls..." Syrus said.
"I'm not and I don't care what you say. Now shut up! I'm already sick of you talking about that." Red Hat shouted at Syrus.
"Sometimes he really needs to chill." Chumley commented.
"Don't worry abut it. Red Hat is just a bit cranky since he was forced to wake up early, thats all." Jaden said.
Red Hat lightly chuckled. 'Not quite Jaden. I just can't stand the nonesense Syrus says pretty much all the time.' Red Hat thought as then everyone continued their training.
Time 12pm
Later on, the band of Slifers and Ras were sitting in Banners class. The Slifer trio were sitting together, their heads down and snoring away. Red Hat was with Blair in the upper seats of the classroom as usual to avoid suspecions from others.
As for Banner, he frowned as he noted the big number of empty seats. "There certainly are a lot of absences today."
'Strange, it's bizarre.' Bastion thought to himself. 'To think this many students are absent at once... Even Red Hat came to class today.'
The sound of the door hissing open made Banner turn to see a young woman dressed in white and orange walk towards him, hlding a duffle bag with a worried look on her face. "May I help you?" Banner asked.
"Wel... do you recognize this bag?" The woman asked, showing him the duffle bag she was holding.
Banner looked down at the bag. "Yes, it's one of my students, why?"
Red Hat knew something wasn't right. "Blair head back to the dorms after class. Looks like something is going on here." he whispered.
Blair nodded. "Alright, but sometimes I wish I can come with you guys." Blair mussed, but understod why she must stay away.
The other key keepers, incuding Jaden, who woke up in time to see Banner talk to the woman.
Time 4:30pm
After class, Banner traveled around in the forest, along with Jaden, Red Hat, Syrus, Chumley Bastion, Chazz, and Alexis. Red Hat told Blair to head back to the dorms as he didn't want her getting involved. Alexis tagged along just because she could.
"I wonder why that pack was left all theaway out here." Jaden wondered.
"Indeed." Bastion agreed. "And Jaden, where it's owner is."
"I hope no one is hurt." Banner worried.
'Yet something isn't right. Why now are we figuring this out now. It's been over a week.' thought Red Hat.
The group continued walking through the woods, searching for the missing people. Even calling out for people, without getting any answer. After what felt like hours, they came to a large cleared out space, where they found a big suprise. A large Colossal stadium.
"Where did this come from?" Jaden asked, staring at it.
"I never knew the Academy had a colosseum." said Red Hat
"I'm going in!" Bastion declared and run towards the structure.
"Wait up!" Syrus called out before he and the others ran after him.
"Aww, running." Chumley complained.
A moment later, they came into the center of the arena and to their surprise, they found the missing students working in different areas of the arena. They were lifting rocks, putting them in places, and doing other such things. And they seemed to not mind doing these kind of jobs.
Red Hat raised an eye brow at this. 'If these guys can work like this in such matters, then they have no reason to compain about many other things. This means all of you, you entitled Obelisk Blues.'
"Hey! That guy's from class." Syrus said, glanced at one of them.
"Yeah, so is she." Chumley added.
"Oh my." Banner said.
Chazz observed the many workers... until his eyes bugged out when they landed on one worker in particular. "CROWLER?"
Upon hearing Chazz exclaim, everyone else followed his gaze and saw Crowler trying to move a large stone bloack with a crowbar. "What are you doing?" Syrus called out.
Crowler looked at them and smiled proudly. "Oh! A man's work!"
"A man's work?" Banner repeated. "My, they must have been running very short of men."
Red Hat raised an eye brow at this. 'You still have your spirit key. Why is that I wonder?'
Jaden then paled, as what was standing before then was a big, one-eyed and fierce-looking tiger, growling at them. The others noticed it as well, but only just in time to see it roar and run towards them. That of course, caused them them all except Red Hat who remained silent, to shriek in fright and run away from it.
"First a colosseum, then a tiger! What's next, a gladiator!?" Banner ced out.
"Actually, I think she prefers the term, 'Amazon'!" Crowler corrected, acting almost like he was head over heels.
"Amazon!?" Banner repeated, who by now, along with his students, was clinging on top of a pillar, avoiding the claws of the angry tiger.
"That's right." A new voice spoke. The group looked at the direction the voice came from, and saw a woman with a well-built body, short green shir, tight black pants, long red hair in a ponytail, a set of golden bracelets and a spike collar around her neck... and two large scars that went from above her right eye all the way down to her chin. And finally, she was wearing a large, bladed duel disk on her arm. "And thaks to your friends, I've been able to finally finish... my glorious arena."
"Arena for what?" Jaden asked.
The amazon jumped off the spectator seats and somersaulted a few times begore landing in the ring of the arena. "Dueling." At that, the tiger walked over to the amazon, letting her stroke it's fur, much to the gang's relief.
They got down from the pillar one by one and then focusedon the amazon, who walked over to the students, plus Crowler, that lined up before her. "Job well done! I had no idea Duel Academy could make such fine laborers! Now as promised, here's your payment! Some rare cards! Well-deserved, I might add! Until next time!~" She held up a set of envelopes as she was passing out the envelopes to them one by one. And then, they walked away, satisfied with their payment.
Once it was Crowler's turn though... "My reward thank you." Crowler said as he held open his hands.
"No! You give me the creeps!" The amazon spat, refusing to reward Crowler.
"That can't be! Tht is unfair, is it not?" Crowler complained. Soon the the tiger came up and roared at him. "Oh, my! You're scary! Oh my god!" Crowler screamed as he ran off.
Red Hat chuckled at that interaction. 'Good, you get what you deserve Crowler. The fact you even put in work just avoid dueling shows you are pathetic.'
"Hey! Who are you anyway?" Jaden demanded.
The Amazon tured to face them. "I am Tania, head and descedent of the great Amaznoness tribe! And one of the seven Shadow Riders." She introduced herself.
"I should have known." Jaden mussed.
"Amazoness huh? I know that..." Syrus said.
"I've heard that's there's a tribe of just woman somewhere in the world..." Chumley stated.
"So they're real, it seems..." Alexis said.
"We'll conduct a sacred battle in this coliseum, with the keys to the seven spirit gates at stake! Still, though, only one of your men will be able to battle me." Tania said as she took a glance. "You don't have a spirit key and even if you did, I would never harm a sister."
"What's that about!?" Alexis said, feeling offended.
"Be greatful, after all you wouldn't be able to do battle even if you could." Red Hat mocked, purposely smirking at her.
Alexis glared at him. "Just what's that supposed to mean!? You're saying I would't be able to duel and beat her?"
Tania chuckled at this exchange. "My, who knew the Chaos user would be this wild." she commented. "So, which of you males will it be?" she asked. "Who's my man?"
"Right here!" Jade stepped up.
"Yours truly!" Chazz added.
"I'll take you on!" Bastion declared.
"I'll destroy you! Bring it on!" Red Hat said.
Tania looked at the boys, thinking carefully. Despite having orders, she paid no mind to them. "Hmm... If this is really the best you have to offer... then I suppose I'll pick... you!" She pointed at Bastion, who was smiling a bit.
"Well, can't duel them all." Jaden said as they walked back to the gang. None of them, but Red Hat noticed the annoyed expression on Alexis, who huffed slightly.
"What's the matter. Can't wait to get beaten?" Red Hat mockingly asked.
"Why you! You sound just like Chazz!" Alexis spat.
Red Hat merly chuckled. "Comparing me to Chazz is an insult to a true duelist. You're fault for acting high and mighty."
"I'm right here you know. And you're starting to annoy me as well you slacker!" Chazz replied.
"Bite me Chazz."
"Red Hat please don't make them mad." Syrus begged. Not wanting to see the outcome.
The tiger moved away from Tania, while the others, went to sit in the stands. "What is your name?" The amazon asked.
"Bastion... Bastion Misawa." The ra answered.
Tania seemed to smile in interest.
"Alright pal! Go and get her!" Jaden cheered.
"And don't go easy on her cause she's a girl!" Syrus added.
"We're counting on you!" Chumley said.
"Alright, I've been prepared for this day for a long time." Bastion declared. "The only question is... which deck to choose?" He opened his jacket to reveal his six deck cases.
"Here, I have two decks that will decide your outcome." Tania said, holding up one deck in each hand. "I have two decks. One is of Knowledge. The other is of courage. Why don't you go head ad decide which of the two I use?"
"Naturally, I'll play against the deck of knowledge!"
"Nice choice." Tania inserted the deck in question into her duel disk.
"I'll face you with my water deck. This means war." Bastion said, pulling out one of his own decks and inserted it into his duel disk.
"Then let us begin. And don't worry. This isn't a shadow game."
"Beg your pardon?" Bastion asked, clearly confused.
"You heard me Bastion. I don't want your soul. I want you." Taia cooed. The Ra almost fell flat on the ground in surprise at her words. "In other words, if I win, I'll take you back to my village as my groom!"
"Your groom!?" Bastion exclaimed. "Why are you saying something so nonsensical... In that case, what will happen when I win?"
"Well, if you do, I'll be your bride, Misawy!"
"What was that?!" said Bastion
"This duel might make me kinda jealous..." Syrus commented.
"What is she thinking?" Alexis asked.
Red Hat groaned at this, feeling very unconfortable listening to this. 'Just what am I listening to? This is boderline embarrassing.'
"I don't plan on making you my bride at all, but I'm definitly winning this duel!" Bastion declared.
"Well see about that, hun. Now let's do this." The amazon winked at him before they drew their opening hands.

"Alright it's my turn, I draw!" Tania draws.
Hand 6
"First up a little change of scenery. I play the field spell Amazoness Village!" The field was played and soon the arena was changed to have the apperence of a tribal village. "With this field spell in play, all Amazoness monsters gain 200 attack points. Now I summon Amazoness Swords Woman in attack mode mode! (Atk: 1500 - 1700 Def: 1600) A familiar, well-built woman in a blue outfit with long, red hair and a curved blade appeared. "That's all for now." Tania ends her turn.
Hand 4
"Alright then my turn I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 6
"I summon Oxygeddon in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 Def: 800)" A Pteranadon made of green air appeared from an Oxygen geyser. "Battle! Oxygeddon attack the Amazoness Swords Woman! Vapor Stream!" Oxyeddon spat out a blast of air that destroyed Amazoness Swords Woman.
Bastion: 8000 - 7900 LP
"Why did Bastion lose life points?" Syrus wondered.
"How did you pass grade school." Red Hat muttered, already annoyed by Syrus's pathetically easy question. "Amazoness Swords Woman effect, opponent takes the damage they would have inflicted."
"He walked right into that one." Chumely said.
"Yeah, that's not like Bastion." Alexis added.
"No way. It's just like Bastion. Think about it. Sure, he has fewer life points, but she has fewer monsters. Smart move." said Jaden
"You overlooked one detail Jaden. Also life points don't really mean anything." Red Hat replied.
"Yeah... my field spell activates. You see, once per turn when an Amazoness monster is destroyed by battle or card effect. I'm allowed to special summon another Amazoness monster from my deck with equal to or lower level then the one that was destroyed. So tell me. Who here is the smart one now? I bring out Amazoness Paladin in attack mode! (Atk: 1700 - 2000 Def: 300)" A woman wearing a light-brown, sleeveless attle dress with a longsword appeared. "Paladin gains 100 attack for every Amazoness including herself, and thanks to the field spell she gains 200 more attack. You miscalculated on that last move. After all, now we have the same amount of monsters... but not the same amount of life points~"
Bastion took a deep breath and sighed before continuing his move. "I'll set a card facedown, and end my turn."
Hand 4
"My! So cool!" Tania soke up with dreamy eyes. "It's so numbling, the sorrow of a man!"
"You don't think that Tania might be the type Bastion hates the most don't you?" Syrus spoke up.
"Bastion will be fine, don't worry about it Sy." Jaden commented.
'Something tells me theres more to it then meets the eye.' thought Red Hat as he was observing.
"I get it now Tania." Bastion said. "That cliche strategy of yours, trying to seduce me to slow my pace down... But my strategies are impregnable! Your pink beam will serve no use!"
"What does he mean by pink 'Beam'?" Asked Jaden confused.
"Beats me" both Syrus and Chumley replied.
'This is embarrassing.' thought Red Hat. 'Just get on with the duel so I don't have to listen to this rediculous farce.'
"Well then, my turn I draw!" Tania draws.
Hand 5
"I summon this Amazoness Blowpiper in attack mode! (Atk: 800 - 1000 Def: 1500)" A woman with long blue hair in a green outfit holding a blowpipe with a small skull at the end appeared next to the Paladin as her power increased. (Atk: 2000 - 2100 Def: 300) "Now I play the spell card Amazoness Spellcaster! Now, one Amazoness and one monster on the field exchange their attack points with each other. I choose Blowpiper and your Oxyigeddon (Atk: 800 - 1800 - 2000 Def: 1500) (Atk: 1800 - 800 Def: 800)" The Amazoness stood up a little higher as her strength was increased, while Oxygeddon dropped down as it lost power.
'Not to worry, I have a facedown that will destroy both your monsters.' Bastion thought.
"Don't think I don't know about your facedown. I play the quickplay spell Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy it." Powerful winds destroyed Bastion's facedown.
'No my Mirror Force!' Bastion thought in disbelief.
"Too late now. Battle, Amazoness Blowpiper attack his Oxygeddon!" The Amazoness blew into her blowpipe, shooting out a dart which flew across the field and sttrucked Oxygeddon destroying it. "Now Amazoness Paladin, attack him directly!" The paladin charged forward swinging her blade at Bastion.
Bastion: 7900 - 6700 - 4600 LP
"Now I set this card facedown and end my turn." Tania ends her turn. Amazoness Blowpiper attack returned to normal (Atk: 800 - 1000 Def: 1500)
Hand 1
"Alright my turn I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 5
"I play Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 cards." Bastion draws his cards. 'Excellent this should put me at an advantage.' he tought before continuing. "I play the field spell Umiiruka!" The amazon village field was destroyed and was replaced with a watery ocean field. The amazoness power dropped. (Atk: 2100 - 1900 Def: 300) (Atk: 1000 - 800 Def: 1500)
'Getting rid of the field spell is priority. Although there are better ways then using another mediocre field spell.' thought Red Hat.
"With this all water monsters gain 500 attack points but lose 400 defence points. Now I summon Hydrogeddon in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 - 2100 Def: 1000 - 600)" A geyser of brownish water erupted in front of Bastion. When it settled, there was a watery dinosaur monster of the same color with an amphibian tail. "Battle, Hydrogeddon attack the Amazoness Paladin! Hydro Gust!" Hydrogeddon let out a blast of water from it's mouth that destroyed the Amazoness.
Tania: 8000 - 7800 LP
"I'm not done Hydrogeddon's effect! When it destroys a monser in battle I can summon another Hydrogeddon from my deck. So rise another Hydrogeddon! (Atk: 1600 - 2100 Def: 1000 - 500)" Another Hydrogeddon appeared on the field. "It's still my battle phase, go Hydrogeddon attack the Amazoness Blowpiper!" The second Hydrogeddon attacks the Amazoness and destroys her.
Tania: 7800 - 6500 LP
"Now I get to summon another Hydrogeddon from my deck. Rise my third Hydrogeddon! (Atk: 1600 - 2100 Def: 1000 - 500)" A third Hydrogeddon appeared. "Now Hydrogeddon attack Tania directly! Hydro Gust!" The third Hydrogeddon attacks Tania directly.
Tania: 6500 - 4400 LP
"Yeah! Way to go Bastion!" Jaden cheered.
"I'll end my turn with one card facedown." Bastion ends his turn.
Hand 3
"What a move! Now it's my turn. I draw!" Tania draws.
Hand 2
As she looks at her hand and slightly smiles. 'This should work. I'll just have to bait him out.' Tania thought as she smiled. "I pass turn." Tanis ends her turn.
Hand 2
"Wait why would she just end her turn?" Syrus asked confused.
"Maybe she didn't drew a good card?" Chumley added.
"Now it's my turn to go on the offensive. I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 4
"I summon Abyss Soldier in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 - 2300 - Def: 1300 - 900)" A mantine-like creature appeared, which he held some sort of trident. "His effect, by discarding a water monster from my hand I can return a card from your field back to you hand. So your facedown goes back to your hand." Bastion discards Penguin Soldier. Abyss Soldier threw his trident at the facedown, but as he did.
"Nice try hun, he's the trap card Torrential Tribute! Since you summoned a monster, I can destroy all monsters on the field." A powerful blast of blusih lightning destroyed all of Bastion's monsters.
Bastion gasped, trying to recover from the blast. "But how? That's two times that she's been able to out think me."
"It's a love strategy... Woman are more skilled, you know!" Tania teased him.
"Don't toy with me!" Bastion exclaims. "What's your groom deal?! And Your Bride deal!? You and I are both enemies! We're fighting for the destruction the world, aren't we?!"
Tania smiled. "What destruction of the world? Love is undying! I'll open your heart, which won't even open with your key to the seven Spirit Gates, with my own key!"
Everyone was watching with a shocked expression. Red Hat dead panned at the whole scene. 'Just what am I watching here? A duel or a lovers quarrel?'
"This is nonsense." Bastion said, now beginning to question his situation. "Are you really smitten with me?"
"I am smitten!" exclaimed Tania.
"What's gotten you so smitten?!"
"Isn't it obvious? It's that manly face of yours..."
That statment just made Bastion a little more annoyed. 'She's smitten by my face?! Damn superficial woman who see nothing but looks... So then, I should switch to stuff like Syrus and Chumley's Idol cards, shouldn't I?!' He thought about Thunder Nyan Nyan and the Cure Master and how they affected the two named slifers. But then, the image of White Magican Pikeru appeared in his mind, at which he gripped his head with both hands. "No, that's not it! That can't be!"
The spectators including Red Hat sweat dropped at his behavior. " What's with Bastion?" Jaden asked.
"Love works in mysterious ways doesn't it Misawy." Syrus added.
"Don't call me that! And I'm not in love!" Bastion snapped at them. 'I can't believe she's come to like me because of that...' He turned back to his opponent. "It's still my turn. I use my continuous trap Call of the Haunted! With this I bring back Hydrogeddon! (Atk: 1600 - 2100 Def: 1000 - 500) Now Hydrogeddon attack Tania directly! Hydro blast!" Hydrogeddon fires a blast of water at Tania.
Tania: 4400 - 2300 LP
"With that I end my turn." Bastion ends his turn.
Hand 2
"What a move! No wonder I love you!" Tania gasped excitedly. "And sweetie, because I do... I must beat you! It's my turn I draw!" Tania Draws.
Hand 3
"I play Pot of Greed, so I draw 2 cards." Tania draws her cards. "Now I play Graceful Charity I draw 3 cards then I discard 2 cards." Tania draws her cards and discards Amazoness Fighter and Amazoness Chain Master. "Now I summon Amazoness Tiger in attack mode. (Atk: 1100 - 1500 Def: 1900)" The Tiger that appeared looked like an exact copy of Tania's pet tiger. "Amazoness Tiger gains 400 attack for every Amazoness monster on the field including itself. Battle, Amazoness Tiger and Amazoness Paladin attack Bastion directly!" The Paladin swung her sword at Bastion while Tiger pounced and clawed at Bastion.

'Well at least she's concentratrating on her dueling instead of on me.' Bastion thought to himself. "Alright, it's my move now..."
"Speaking of moves, sweetie..." Tania Interrupted, looking at him longingly and chewed on her thumb a little. "I think... it's probably best that you move in with me. You know, after we get married? Oh, well just have the coziest home sweet home.~"
That made Bastion blink, taken back at her words.
Tania noticed his reaction. "Oh, I'm sorry honey. Am I distracting you again with this talk about how much I love you? And how positively handsome you are? Oh, there I go again.~"
Bastion held a hand over his heart while blushing.
"I guess that I simply can't help myself." Tania continued before spreading her arms out and wide. "I'm head over heels.~"
Now Bastion was completely infatuated with her. "Yes... me too." Bastion had a light pink blush on his cheeks.
"Yuck! Are there barf bags on this flight?" Jaden asked, feeling a bit disgusted by this chemistry.
"I wish this duel was over with." Red Hat replied.
"Aw man, Bastion's getting all flustered... and all sidetracked." Syrus noted.
"Alright my turn. I draw!" Bastion draws.

"Alright, I summon Tribe Infecting Virus in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 - 2100 Def: 1000 - 500)" Three purplish creatures appeared with toxic vemons spreading around them. "Now Tribe Infect Virus effect. By discarding one card, I declare a type then all monsters of that type are destroyed. I choose Warrior so your Amazoness Paladin is destroyed. Go Virus shot!" Tribe Infecting Virus fired a blast of venom destroying the Amazoness. "Now I discard my last card to use his effect again. This time I choose Beast. So your Amazoness Tiger is also destroyed!" Tribe Infecting Virus fired another blast destroying the Tiger. "Fun duel, but I'm afraid it's about to end! Go, Tribe Infecting Virus attack Tania directly! Virus Blast!"
Smirking, Tania spoke. "You must be distracted, otherwise you most certainly would have seen that I have a facedown out! My trap card, Mirror Force! Sorry, hun, but now your attacking monster will automatically be destroyed!" As Tribe Infecting Virus fired it's blast it hit the barrier as the attack was repelled, thus destroying him.
"Aw, man Bastion is now wide open." said Syrus.
"Bastion also has no cards in his hand." Jaden pointed out.
"He walked right into a trap!" Chazz said. "What was he thinking?!"
"That's just it!" Banner cried out. "With all that love talk, I doubt he was!"
Red Hat sighed at this. 'Bastion, how could you lose to Amazoness? The deck is laughing stalk that barely functions.'
"I end my turn." Bastion ends his turn.

"My turn I draw!" Tania draws.

"I summon Amazoness Swords Woman in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 Def: 1600) It's over, Amazoness Swords Woman attack Bastion directly!" Amazoness Swords Woman charged in and swung her sword at Bastion depleteing the rest of his LP.
Bastion: 800 - 0 LP
Despite Bastion getting attacked, he managed to stay conscious to speak some final words before falling unconscious. "I'm... all yours..."
The moment Bastion lost the duel, his spirit key vanished completely as the ground underneath rumbled a bit, indicating that a Spirit Gate was just now unlocked.
"Bastion!" Concerned for his unconcious friend, Jaden leaped down from the sidlines along with Red Hat to run towards him.
"Kitty!" called out Tania, signaling her pet tiger. This forced everyone, but Bastion to run away and retreat from the arena, thus leaving them outside the coliseum-like moment they stepped outside, iron bars crashed down and sealed all of the entrances and exits.
"Oh no, Bastion!" Running up to the bars, Jaden tugged on them and attempted to call out for Tania or Bastion. "Hey!"
"Ahaha! Sorry, but Bastion and I are offcially on our honeymoon now!" laughed Tania amusedly. "So, get lost!"
Clutching the iron bars tightly Jaden yelled,"This isn't over! You hear me!?"
'Bastion, we'll get you back one way for another. Stay strong.' thought Red Hat.
For the next several minutes, Jaden kept trying to enter the arena over and over, calling out Bastion's name continuously until he was overcome with fatigue and had to give up for the time now, everyone was forced to wait for their friend to appear or at least a window of opportunity to sneak in and grab their friend before worse comes to pass.
Thursday
Time 3am
All of them sat outside of the coliseum and, they had been there most of the time since Bastion's duel with Tania. Throughout the entire night they heard Bastion scream of agony as they sat at a small camp fire as the sun was about to rise. Red Hat layed down on the dirt near the campfire as he slept through the night, but still hearing everything that was going on.
Alexis sighed with a troubled look as she poked the fire ignoring Red Hat was sleeping near the fire next to Jaden. "I hate hearing Bastion suffer like that and not being able to help him."
Chazz nodded feeling troubled as well. "No joke, they have been dueling all night and from those screams, it sounds like Bastion has been losing all night against her too."
Red Hat woke up after listening to this. As he sat up, he notcied it was close to sunrise. "How long can this goes on? This is getting out of hand."
Jaden had finally had eough and stood up. "We got to do something!"
"Yeah!" both Syrus and Chumley cried out in unison.
"I'll help you out Jaden." said Red Hat.
Hearing some creaking noises coming from the barred gates of the coliseum, everyone turned and saw the gates springing upwards, thus allowing new enterance in and out of the coliseum. To everyone's surpprise, Bastion was slowly and weakly walking out, all flustered and fatiugued.
"Bastion...?" Rushing forward, both Jaden and Red Hat caught Bastion as he hell to his knees while the others followed after, gathering around the fallen and defeated Bastion. "Wait... She dumbed you?"
"That's right... I'm crushed!" moaned Bastion in devastation as he glanced at Jaden and Red Hat before looking back at the sky.
"You're not crushed! You're lucky!" Chazz said, not wanting to be in Bastion's shoes.
Banner was confused at this. "I don't understand! She was so smitten with you!"
Red Hat groan at the ridiculousness of this affair. 'This is just plain silly. Why would anyone take a Shadow Rider's word for anything really.'
"I know!" Bastin said before smiling, obviously thinking about his newfound love. "We were to be married... but she decided that I wasn't duelist enough." the others looked at him as he told them what happened.
Flashback
Bastion: 1000 - 0 LP
Bastion was lying on his back after being knocked back after the current duel.
Tania looked at him with disappointment in her eyes. "You call that a duel? You're not worthy, beat it?"
Bastion got a shocked look on his face, Tania turned around. "I need someone, someone who can duel at my level." She then walked out of the arena as a crushed Bastion sat up and looked after her. "My love."
End of Flashback
Bastion looked up in the sky with a pained look on his face. "I wasn't good enough for her, and she's left me forever, she says she wants a... champion a duelist who can... a match that she'll always remember."
Jaden looked trouble, but his expression soften. "Bastion..." he felt sorry for all the trouble his friend went through.
"We should return. It's getting late." Red Hat suggested.
Banner nodded. "Because of these events, I suppose I'll excuse all of us from class today. It's been so tiring ever since yesterday."
Jaden and Red Hat carried Bastion all the way back to his dorm, passing through the forest. As they placed Bastion in his room. Jaden and Red Hat went back to their dorms to get some rest. When Red Hat returned he was greated by an awake Blair.
"Where were you anyway? I was getting worried when you and Jaden didn't return in the evening." Blair said. Blair still had her hat and banna on.
"We stayed near a place where there was a duel with a Shadow Rider. And well..." Red Hat begins to explain to her everything that happened and where it happended. He even told her about Bastion's affair.
"A duel for love?" Blair asked as she tilt her head sideways. "But not like this. She was in love and just dumped him right off the bat? Isn't that a bit much?"
Red Hat refused to comment on this. "I rather not talk about it." Red Hat then layed down on his bed and soon drifted to sleep. Blair followed suit.
Time 9am
Red Hat woke up around this time. What surprised him was Blair was still asleep on her bunk. That or she took an early shower and went back to bed. They both got up and went to the cafeteria and saw everyone of the key keepers, except Crowler, standing near the entrance.
"Something wrong?" asked Red Hat. As he took a look inside, he saw Bastion there and was about to eat some morning breakfast. 'Why here? Ain't the Ra Yellow food better?'
"There's something really off about Bastion right now..." Chumley said.
"Woah! He's putting Strawberry jam on the omlet rice!" Syrus pointed out, as Bastion was pouring said sauce on the omlet with out a care in the world. "Oh man! Now, he's drinking the sause!"
"What hapened to you Bastion?" muttered Red Hat.
"Never mind that, this is the Slifer Red dorm cafeteria. Why is Bastion even here?" wondered Chazz.
"Hey Bastion!" Jaden called out to him, only for him to witness Bastion drink another type of sauce. "That's tabasco!"
"It's no use... he's somehow lost it." said Chazz.
"To think that Bastion would lose his composure." Syrus stated.
"Wow he's really upset. Never thought I see that." muttered Blair next to Red Hat.
Bastion would continue to drink the sauces they had in Slifer Red, while barely eating anything of actual breakfast.
Time 2pm
Inside the duel academy building Bastion was starring off through one of the many windows. Bastion was still hung over Tania and still love her, but he's been so distracted with her in his mmind. Bastion was unable to let his feeling go. Jaden, Red Hat, and Alexis were keeping an eye on him.
"It looks like he can't bear his duel with Tania, doesn't he?" asked Alexis.
"Yeah, no kidding, he's still winging out about that girl." said Jaden, surprised.
'I really don't get it Bastion. What do you even see in a Shadow Rider?' thought Red Hat.
Later, Bastion received a message from the other key keepers to meet up with them in the Duel Arena. Bastion relentlessly went towards his destination, finding the others, only this time Zane, Crowler, and for some reason Blair who was next to Red Hat, was there too.
"What's going on? You called me out of the blue here..." asked Bastion, slightly annoyed.
"Since it's been a while, let's duel Bastion!" Jaden suggested.
"It's pointless." shaking his head, Bastion spoke. "I can't do it."
"Why not? Are you scared Bastion?" asked Jaden.
"Me scared?" Bastion smiled a bit at that "That's not it."
"Then, what's going on? This isn't like you." Jaden said, trying to encourage his friend.
"I just don't know anymore." said Bastion.
"Is it that woman?" asked Chazz, clearly disgusted.
"No way! It's dueling!"
"What do you mean?" asked Jaden.
Bastion sighed, knowing it was best to explain it himself. "That Tania woman... While she's a Shadow Rider, in that pure battle, her makeshiftiness was gone, and she battled me head-on. I remember a sense of respect for her. I want to see her! I want to cross decks with her again!"
"Is that like a bond only those who cross their decks with each other can feel?" asked Zane, trying to grasp what Bastion is implying.
Bastion nodded. "Yeah, however, with my dueling skills as they are now, I can't give Tania a duel that will satisfy her. That is mortifying and pathetic!"
"Is that woman really that amazing you're going gaga over her?" asked Chazz, not wanting to be part of this discussion.
"Not really." Red Hat flattly replied. "It's amazoness, you can't bribe me to say otherwise."
Blair sweat dropped at that. "Harsh as usual. Even when it's a duel for love."
Jaden, however, feeling happy for his pal. "I'm glad you met a duelist like that Bastion. I've just been wanting to take my chance with that Tania chick more and more!" Jaden then did his pose at Bastion "I'm jealous at you, Bastion!"
Red Hat chuckled at that. "Since you're so excited Jaden. I'll help you out."
Blair smiled at them both. "Wow, you two are fired up. I can't miss this."
'Jaden... Red Hat.' Bastion thought, as they given him a thought on what he may need to do.
Time 5pm
At the coliseum, Tania screamed as she hit her fist against her chest. "Argh! This Island has nothing but weaklings, I need a worthy parnter, someone who isn't intimidated... by my power." She then began punching the wall to her tiger's shock and then placed a kick in the ceiling so that piece of rock fell down as the tiger placed it's paws over it's head as it tried to protect itself.
Tania turned around with a frustrated look on her face. "And if he can't find me, I'll find him... and DUEL him." she walked away as their got up and followed her as the ceiling collapsed the moment after they left the room.
Time 11pm
Jaden was sitting on his desk with his deck working on it while Syrus and Chumley lied on their beds looking at him. Red Hat was on the floor next to Jaden, also rearranging one of his decks.
"Jaden, Red Hat, shouldn't you get to bed?" Syrus asked.
Jaden shook his head. "No way Sy! Hearing that Tania story from Bastion got me buring up with good vibes!"
"Besides, I think I got a good way to counter all her strategies." replied Red Hat. 'It's Amazoness. Unless she has stall cards, her deck is comically bad.'
"But geez, it's the middle of the night you two." replied Chumley.
Jaden and Red Hat ignored him and continued to work on their decks, that is until they heard someone knocking on the door to their room. "Jaden open up it's me Bastion."
Jaden opened the door and looked at Bastion confused. "What are you doing here Bastion,and at this hour?"
"I feel it... Tania's fighting spirit." replied Bastion.
"Just what do you mean Bastion?" asked Jaden.
"It matters not. Come with me Jaden." Bastion then grabbed his arm and pulled Jaden out of his room while he cried out in shock. Red Hat followed them immediately as they left the room. Blair look out through Red Hat's room and followed them close behind while the trio was oblivious to her following them.
Time 12am
Jaden and Red Hat followed Bastion who was running towards the coliseum. Blair followed suit close by but hide behind a tree. However, she noticed the others were coming close. "Where are you Tania?!" Bastion yelled.
"Jaden!" Syrus announced, as the rest of the gang show up. Blair then came out of her hiding spot and got close to Red Hat. The rest had confused looks on why he was even there in the first place. Crowler though had a suspicious look but didn't comment on it.
"Is it true that Tania's shown up?" asked Alexis.
"It sounds like it." replied Jaden.
Before anyone could react, the familiar sounds of a tiger echoed in the air, startling everyone as they turned owards the direction where the sounds came from. Pouncing out of the forest and onto the ground, Tania along with her pet tiger made their grand apperance, surprising everyone.
'That's her? She looks tough and can easliy break someone.' thought Blair.
"Tania..." muttered Bastion, happy to see her again.
"You really felt my duel-straved thirst, I see..." replied Tania.
"I'm going to take you on!" declared Jaden.
"And so will I!" added Red Hat.
"You look good. Although you look a bit foolish." Tania found a bit of interest towards Jaden.
"Well..." Jaden sweatdropped, being called such. "Hey foolish is a bit much, isn't it?"
"You seem like a passionate fellow. Alright you'll be my opponent." Tania then turns to Red Hat. "You look incredibly boring, however I heard many rumors how tough you are."
"I'm a lot stronger then you'll ever know." Red Hat flattly replied.
"Well then..." Tania points to Bastion. "You, this is your chance to redeem yourself."
"Wait really?!" Bastion exclaimed in shock.
"You'll be my partner to take these two down. After all, would a strong man uphold to such a simple request?" teased Tania.
Bastion was slightly flustered, but caved in. "Yes! Of course Tania!" Bastion then ran to her side. "I'll prove to you I'm a worthy man, by beating Jaden and Red Hat!"
"Bastion..." Red Hat muttered, worrying if his friend has clearly lost it.
"Bastion just what are you doing? You're willingly teaming up with a Shadow Rider?" Zane asked, clearly angry at Bastion decision.
"Yeah, you're willing to put the world in danger to just to be with her?" asked Chazz in disbelief at what he was seeing.
Blair placed a finger on her cheek as she tilt her head sideways. "Wow, he must love her that much, if he's willing to betray his friends on a dime."
"Blair, now is not the time." Red Hat sweatdropped at her comment.
The four duelist entered the arena, Tania and Bastion on one end. Red Hat and Jaden on the other end. Their spectators sat in the stands. Blair stayed as far away as she could from the group to avoid suspision.
Tania took out two of her decks. "As you know, I have two decks here that will decide your outcome. Do you want to die a noble death and go down in history? Or, do you want to in your embarrassment, even if you lose?" taunted Tania.
Jaden didn't seem to mind the threat in the slightest. "Sorry, but I'll win and go down in history."
"You think, you have a chance against me? Don't make me laugh." replied Red Hat with a smirk.
"I value that mindset of yours." Tania said to Jaden. "Over confident are you, Chaos user? We'll see about that." The four duelist readied their duel disks.

"I summon Amazoness Paladin in attack mode! (Atk: 1700 - 1800 Def: 300) As you know she gains 100 attack for every Amazoness including herself. Now how about a change of scenery. I play the field spell Amazoness Arena! When this card activates, we both gain 600 LP, but it's not just distracting, but captivating! Hahaha!" Then bars shot up from underground to create a dome cage, trapping Tania, Bastion, Jaden, and Red Hat inside until one of the team wins the duel.

Red Hat face palmed at the play. "Why would you play a worse field spell then the one you previously played?"
"Hahaha! You see, Amazoness Arena is a sacred arena!" explained Tania. "In here, you don't just fight with your monsters, but with your soul!"
"And just how do I do that?" asked Jaden.
"Oh, you'll find out!" assured Tania. "But first, Amazoness Paladin attack his Avian!" Readying her weapon, Amazoness Paladin leapt from her position before bringing her sword down as she came downwards.

"Now you'll see the power of Amazoness Arena!" yelled Tania. "After our monsters battle, your soul can battle mine! If you pay 100 LP you can do 100 burn damage to mine!"
'What a baffling effect. All just for flare.' thought Red Hat, disappointed with such a weak effect.
"You'll understand soon Red Hat." replied Bastion.
"I guess I should warn you! I don't ever hit girls!" said Jaden, excited.
"And you shouldn't!" agreed Tania. "But this isn't a fight between us. You see, it's like I said. Our souls will clash!"

Without speaking any further, both duelist focused their energy into manifesting their souls into physical beings, successfully doing so before their souls charged at each other in the air. Jaden's soul attempted to punch her first, but Tania ducked in time and threw a unch back, knocking Jaden back a bit.
"Jaden!" cried out Syrus.
"Are you alright?" asked Blair.
"Come on! This is embarrassing for all of us guys!" called out Chumley.
"I may be down but not out. Go trap HERO Signal! Since you destroyed Avian I can summon an Elemental HERO from the deck. So here's Elemental HERO Sparkman in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 Def: 1400)" Sparkman appeared on the field.
"Very well. I'll end my turn here." Tania ends her turn.

"Enough of this ridiculous farce. My turn I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I play the spell Brain Control! I pay 800 LP and take control of your Amazoness Paladin!" A brain appeared and two arms appeared and grabbed Amazoness Paladin and forced her to Red Hat's side.

"Now I tribute your Amazoness Paladin and summon the mighty Jinzo! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1500)" The paladin was sacrificed and was replaced by the psychokenetic cyborg. "Battle! Jinzo attack Tania directly! Cyber energy shock!" Jinzo fired a blast of psychic energy at Tania.

"I refuse to use that ridiculous field spell. Sparkman attack Tania directly! Static Shockwave!" Sparkman attacks Tania with a blast of electricity.

Jinzo attack Elemental HERO Sparkman! Cyber Energy Shock!" Jinzo fires a blast of psychic energy at Sparkman destroying him.

"Now it's time we do battle with our souls Red Hat! Come on enjoy some passion for once!" Bastion calls out.
"If that's how it's gonna be Bastion, then Bring it on!" Both Bastion and Red Hat focused their energy into manifesting their souls into physical beings. Their souls then charged forward. After a few punches, Bastion landed a hit directly at Red Hat's face knocking him back.

"Fine you're on!" Red Hat declares. Continuing where they left off, both Bastion and Red Hat started exchanging blows at each other. Once again Bastion lands a hit, and causes Red Hat to be knocked back a bit.

"I play Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 more cards." Jaden draws his cards. "Now lets rock Polymerization! I fuse Elemental HERO Clayman with Burstinatrix, to create Elemental HERO Rampart Blaster! (Atk: 2000 Def: 2500)" A female armored HERO appeared onto the fieled. "Now I play the spell card R Righteous Justice! With this, I destroy your Snatch Steal! So Jinzo returns to our field!" As the spell shattered. Jinzo returned to the owners field. "Battle! Jinzo attack Whirlwind Prodigy!" As Jinzo was about to attack, Bastion was ready.
"I don't think so! Go quick play spell Book of Moon! This card flips Jinzo into facedown defense position!" A book opened up and soon a spell was casted and Jinzo card was shown signaling he was facedown.
"Rampart Blaster may be in defense, but she can attack you directly by cutting her attack points in half. Go Rampart Barrage!" The armored femmale hero shot two missiles from her arm, each hitting Bastion and Tania.

"Now Bastion let's have a fight!" Jaden declared.
"Good show, cause I'm ready for you Jaden!" replied Bastion.
Both Bastion and Jaden focused their energy into manifesting their souls into physical beings. Their souls then charged forward. After a few punches, Jaden landed a hit directly at Bastion's face knocking him back. Although Bastion took the blow a bit harsher then it seemed.

"That's right, go quick play! Emergency Provisions! With this I send Mirage to the graveyard and I gain 1000 LP. So now I don't have to discard any cards." explained Jaden.
Jaden & Red Hat: 5300 - 6300 LP
"Very well then let's continue with this. I play the spell card Fissure. This destroys the monster with the lowest attack on your field. Since only Rampart Blaster is the only one face up, she is destroyed!" The ground shaked and soon open up where Rampart Blaster was dragged down into the abyss and destroyed.
"Argh! Not good." commented Jaden.
"No it's not, especially since I play the equip spell Premature Burial! By paying 800 LP I can bring back Amazoness Paladin in attack mode! (Atk: 1700 - 1800 Def: 300)"
Tania & Bastion: 3200 - 2400 LP
"Now I summon Amazoness Swords Woman in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 Def: 1600) (Atk: 1800 - 1900 Def: 300) Let's battle! Amazoness Paladin attack that facedown Jinzo!" The Paladin swung forward and destroyed the facedown monster. "Now let's have a rematch!"
Both Tania and Jaden clashed blows against each other once again, meeting each other's expectations in their soul battle as they met each other fist to fist.

Tania & Bastion: 2400 - 2300 LP
"Not done Amazoness Swords Woman attack Jaden directly!" The Amazoness swung her sword at Jaden.
Jaden & Red Hat: 6200 - 4700 LP
"Ready for another battle?" says Tania.
"Let's go!" replies Jaden.
The two duelist quickly engaged in a brawl with their souls again.
Jaden & Red Hat: 4700 - 4600 LP
Tania & Bastion: 2300 - 2200 LP
"Now Whirlwind Prodigy attack Jaden directly!" The young prodigy attacks Jaden with a blast of winds.
Jaden & Red Hat: 4600 - 3100 LP
"Now let's brawl!" said Tania.
"Yeah, let's rumble!" replies Jaden.
The two duelist quickly engaged in a brawl with their souls again. With knowlage of each other's movements, they grew more agile in dodging their attacks until each other managed to land a blow onto the other.

Jaden & Red Hat: 3100 - 3000 LP
"Alright then, I set one card facedown and end my turn." Tania ends her turn.
Hand 1
"Enough of this. My turn I draw!" Red Hat draws.
Hand 5
"I play the spell Heavy Storm! All spell and traps on the field are destroyed!" Powerfulstorm appears as all spell and traps where destroyed. Since Premature Burial was destroyed so was Amazoness Paladin. The Amazoness Arena soon collapsed in on itself as it was destroyed. Tania was annoyed that her spell was destroyed.
"What!? No fair! You destroyed my precious arena!" Tania exclaimed.
"I don't care about the symbolism. I want this duel to get a move on. I'm not wasting more time on this duel." Red Hat flattly said.
The rest of the gang sweatdropped at his actions. "Red Hat looks really mad!" Syrus said.
Blair shoock her head. "Nah, Red Hat just takes dueling too seriously. He get's annoyed when this kind of thing happens."
Alexis stares at him. "Why are you even here? It's not like Red Hat or Jaden invited you here."
Blair stuck her tonuge at her. "I followed them. I just enjoy watching a duel for love."
Alexis scowls at his attitude. "Just what do you even mean by that? It's like you're only here to watch Jaden and Red Hat duel. But why? This isn't exactly the place to watch them you know."
Zane took a look at the exchange 'Something isn't right. Why would he come here of all places? And why would he follow Jaden? I know he follows Red Hat but why would he?' Zane thought as he was trying to figure out why Blair even came by.
"Alright now that all of that is taken care of, time to continue my plays. I play the spell Graceful Charity! I daw 3 cards then I discard 2 cards!" Red Hat draws his cards and discards D.D Warrior Lady and Treeborn Frog. "Now I banish Jinzo and D.D Warrior Lady to special summon Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" The chaos warrior appeared onto the field. "Now I use his effect. I can banish one monster on the field but he can't attack this turn. I choose to banish Amazoness Swords Woman!" The chaos soldier charged a powerful blast of chaos energy at the Amazoness banishing her. "I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

"Alright then my turn, I draw!" Bastion draws.
Hand 3
"First I play Pot of Greed. So now I draw 2 cards." Bastion draws his cards. "Now I tribute Whirlwind Prodigy to summon this card! Appear Simorgh, Bird os Diviity! (Atk: 2700 Def: 1000)" A large green bird appeared onto the field. It had markings and a small jewel on it's head, signalling it's divinity. "Now I play the spell Giant Truenade! With this all spells and Traps are returned to the hand!" As the winds was about t return the cards to Red Hat's hand, he was ready.
"Sorry this is checkmate Bastion." declared Red Hat.
This got everyone in the stands confused. "Just what does he mean by that?" asked Alexis.
"Go chain Trap Card! Ring of Destruction! This card destroys a monster on the field and we both take damage equal to it's attack points! I chose Black Luster Soldier!" A Ring loaded with grenades attached itself onto Black Luster Solder ready to detonate.
"That makes no sense! We both have 3000 LP or lower! It will just end in a tie!" exclaimed Bastion.
"Go chain 2nd trap card! It's a card you may like Bastion." Bastion looks at Red Hat with a confused look. "Here's the trap Pikeru's Circle of Enchantment!" The card caused Bastion to step back in shock.
"A Pikeru card? You don't play such cards Red Hat!" Bastion tried to retort.
"I don't. I put this card in my deck on purpose just to mess with you. Wake up Bastion it's time to let go! This trap card effect, all effect damage on my side becomes 0 until the end of this turn! So Ring of Destruction will not damage me!" The Ring destroyed Black Luster Soldier and the explosion caused damage to Bastion and Tania. Red Hat and Jaden were protected by a barrier created by Pikeru.
Tania & Bastion: 2100 - 0 LP
Jaden & Red Hat: 3000 LP
"It's over. Red Hat looked like he was annoyed through out the entire duel." spoke Banner after the duel ended.
"It looks like Red Hat wanted to snap Bastion out of it. Even if he had to use such underhanded tactics to do so." Zane spoke up, as he observed the duel.
"Sometimes, Red Hat does things like that. Wish he took the time to calm down. Considering the implications after he won the duel." said Blair.
"That's not gonna happen Blair. Don't speak for me." retorted Red Hat, not even looking back at her. Red Hat got close to the down Bastion. With regret, Red Hat took his deck and took a look at some cards, until he found one card in paticular. "I knew it. Bastion do you always keep this card?" Red Hat shows him White Magician Pikeru card.
Bastion got up and took the card and his deck back. "It's rude to check up on someone's deck Red Hat!" Bastion huffed as he put away his deck. "Besides, it's like I want an Idol card!"
"I'm just going to pretend that was a yes and move on. I really don't care. I was just curious. Also this duel is over, you're free now Bastion." said Red Hat as he returned to the stands.
"I guess that's game!" panted Jaden, brushing sweat off his forehead despite being only a couple turns ago he was actually fighting. "Let me know if you ever want a rematch!"
Tania shook her head with a smile. "No rematch. Until today, I've been searching for a strong man to show off to my tribe, but... I discovered I am not worthy to be as someone as strong as you." She closed her eyes in acceptance to her loss.
"Tania...?"
A purple aura filled up Tania's body as she reverted into a white colored tiger, much to everyone's shock.
"A tiger?" asked Syrus.
"How is this possible?" questioned Blair.
"Seriously?" is all Red Hat said as he noticed this.
"Tania, you're" sputtered Bastion.
Glancing at Bastion, before taking a glance at Jaden at Red Hat. 'I thank you for a great match. Farewell Bastion.' With her last thoughts out, she turned and left one of the shadow charms behind, thus leaving the arena with her pet tiger.
"So I was... smitten by a tiger?" asked Bastion
"Let's just say, she was a fine woman and leave it at that Bastion." sighed Red Hat. Relieved this nonsense was over.
"Dueling really is gret huh? That sure was the best, Tania!" Jaden exclaimed.
Red Hat chuckled at that. "Well let's get out of here Jaden. I think Bastion is cured from all of this."
Soon everyone left the arena as they managed to rescue Bastion and defeated a Shadow Rider. Red Hat then got close to Blair.
"Why did you follow us anyway? This didn't involve you anyway." said Red Hat.
"Hey it was a duel about love. I just had to show up." replied Blair. This caused the other to stare at them.
Red Hat noticed this and grabbed her arm and pulled on her as he had to get away. "It's time we leave Blair, we'll talk more about this at the dorm."
"Hey! Don't pull so hard!" Blair gasped as she tried to keep up with Red Hat pulling her. Soon both left and disappeared deep into the forest.
"What's with them? It looks like Red Hat was in a hurry." stated Alexis.
"Those two seem awfully suspecious if you ask me." added Crowler.
"You know, now that you mention it. Red Hat acts very strange when he's around Blair." Zane pondered at why Red Hat is acting in such a way. "Red Hat never acts so irrationally unless hes with Blair or Jaden. With Jaden it make some sense, but why with Blair?"
"It's almost like Red Hat has something to hide. But what is the question." stated Bastion.
"I think you all are exaggerating! If Red Hat want's to chat around with Blair, who are we to stop him ha ha."said Jaden, completely ignoring what the others were saying.
"I don't think you quite understand what's going on Jaden." sighed Alexis. 'Then again neither do we. Just what are you up to anyway Red Hat?'
Soon everyone else left the area and returned to their dorms despite the sun was already beginning to rise.
A/N: The field spell was released in 5Ds. The reason for this was cause there was no way to replicate the anime only trap card Tania played, as I refuse to use anime cards. It's also why I had to upgrade her deck, so it's more 'functional' then her anime deck. How did that work with Torrentrial Tribute? Ignition Priority is why, where monster effects are quick effects for what ever reason, which was why you can chain Torrentrial. The combo with Ring of Destruction. You can only do this with the pre-errata version. Errata makes it so if you use an anti burn card or Des Wombat then no one takes damage as it's manadtory you take damage first. Remember I'm using time period as a point of contention so don't ask me for out of place strategies. Anyway see you next time for the next chapter.
P.S: For those wondering, my version of Red Hat is an exaggeration of the character that's given to him from the Tag Force games. It's not ment to actually represent the Red Hat from the actual game. The reason for this was to mock how overly nice OCs tend to be to everyone besides Jaden. Also the fact cause I refuse to follow similar trends on this fandom. As this one was intended to make a mockery on how silly the anime can be at times. Also I do not believe that dumb theory that he's a robot, just cause of the Primo route. I refuse to believe that crap.
One last thing. Do not post pointless complaints in the comment section that isn't constructive criticism . You're impressing no one by doing so. My views on the fandom are so low I do not care what many have to say as it's mostly the same I see. My stance will remain the same especially when it comes to characters which I have the opposite opinion on unlike the rest of you in this fandom example Chazz, Alexis and especially Syrus (Alexis case, cause I'm sick of the same tired concept used for her in many other fandoms). The fact I have to remind folks about this is sad and a waste of my time and your time.
