Sibling Rivalry and Red Hat's Distain

A/N: This chapter has a combination to make up for the Kaibaman episode duel. You'll find out why soon enough. Again was slightly edited cause of irl LP being used as I hate anime LP. Hope this meets up to standard.

Sunday

Time 8am

It was another morning at Duel Academy. It was quite peaceful on the island so far... well, except at the Slifer Red Dorm.

"Ugh! It's impossible! It's already been three months since I moved into this dorm!" Chazz sat up on his bed. "With how cramped it is, my precious furniture, and my paintings, and even my works of art... There's just no room at all for almost all of them! It's cramped. It's too cramped! No matter what I do it's cramped!" His bed was so big it took up most of the room he got since his return to his school. The room also contained a couch and a plasma TV. The rest of his belongings was still unpacked in several boxes littered all across the floor.

While Chazz was having his breakdown, Ojama Yellow popped out of his deck case as he flew up to Chazz's shoulder. "Hey Boss, don't you think it's time we go and find my brothers?"

"Shut it!" Chazz snapped at him "I've got nothing to do with your brothers!" That caused Ojama Yellow to cry loudly, letting tears fall. He flew around as Chazz tried to swat him. "Why you! Come on!" He managed to hit the spirit by smashing his palms together, causing him to disappear. "Come to think of it, it's his fault I've been reduced like this!"

"Whose fault?"

Chazz yelped in surprise and turned to glare at Jaden, who was standing at the entrance, along with Syrus. "Ever hear of knocking!?"

"We did, but... your door is way over there." Syrus answered while pointing to the unbolted door which was laying against the wall near Chazz's open entrance.

That statement caused Chazz to form an embarassed look on his face, which Jaden and Syrus laughed at. The embarrassment was quickly replaced by annoyance. "Not funny."

"Yeah, I guess not." Jaden said. "So let's go for fun." Without hesitation, the two Slifers quickly took off their shoes, jumped over the couch and started jumping on Chazz's bed while he was unwillingly bouncing along with them.

"Hey! Get off my bed! It's not a trampoline!"

"By the way..." Jaden spoke up.

"...the Chancellor..." Syrus continued.

"...wants to see you!"

That made Chazz forget about all his frustrations, despite still being forced to bounce around. "Sheppard? What for?"

"Oh, some serious issue is all."

Time 9am

Meanwhile Red Hat was at the card shop opening packs and putting them away in a deck box while keeping the playable and good cards. Red Hat shook his head in disappointment once again. "Again, only a handful of playable cards. I don't expect everything to be amazing or broken, but at least make an effort." Red Hat took a bite of his chicken sandwich he got from the sandwich cart.

"Thought I find you here." Blair spoke up as she entered the shop and sat next to Red Hat.

"Oh, hey Blair." Red Hat turned to see Blair. "Again just getting more cards. Once again only a few are playale and rest are what I call pack filler."

Blair shook her head. "Maybe, you should play more fun decks. You know, instead of acting like such an elitist."

"I refuse to lower my standards. There's playing fun decks, then there's playing outdated decks and cards which aren't good anymore." exlained Red Hat with a distain look. "Example is Summon Skull. He used to be the best one tribute monster. Now he's just a relic of the past as Jinzo Zaborg and better tribute monsters with effects exist now."

Blair frowned, but noticed something. 'He looks very disappointed, or is it saddness?' She thought. "I get changing your deck and evolving, but you make it sound like it's mandatory every week."

Red Hat sighed at that and took out many vanilla monsters. "Look here, Hitosu me Giant in the very early days of the game was the best level four monster, now he's a weak monster. Many level 5 and even some level six monsters have attack points with 1300 to 2000 attack points before Summon Skull as 1200 attack points was the highest. And this was back when stats and beatdown mattered because of limited card pool at the time."

"It feels like you're going to great lenghts to justify why you act this way. Have you always been this way?" Blair asked.

Red Hat didn't answer her right away, as he was pondering about his past days. "I'm not the same duelist I was as a child. I want to take duel monsters seriously. When you take the game more seriously, you're less forgiving about this. It's why I don't attach myself to decks or cards."

Blair signed and layed her head on the table and covered her face. "Is there nothing to change your mind? You take this way to seriously."

Red Hat takes out 20 cards from another deck box and places them on the table. "Look here Blair. These are the staples that one can run in almost any deck. BLS Ennoy of the Beginning, Breaker the Magical Warrior, Tribe Infecting Virus, Sangen, Witch of the Black Forest, Heavy Storm, Harpie's Feather Duster, MST, Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Snatch Steal, Change of Heart, Monster Reborn, Raigeki, Dark Hole, Torrentrial Tribute, Mirror Force, Ring of Destruction, Bottomless Trap Hole, and Solemn Judegment. Keep in mind many of these are mandatory if you want to win when taking the game seriously. All of them except Solemn Judgement and Bottomless Trap Hole are only allowed to be played at one copy. Even though there's even more limited cards."

Blair looks at the cards and was utterly baffled by the cards Red Hat obtain. "You got to be kidding me, you have all these rare cards. Most people don't have those cards."

Red Hat stared at her blankly. "I don't expect everyone to have those cards, heck Jaden lacks many of these cards, but he has his own decent alternitives. Many at this academy other then a few dont even have any of these besides Pot of Greed and the rare MST and Ring of Destruction."

Blair sighs in disbelief. "The way you act, it's no wonder why so many don't like you."

Red Hat shrugged as he finished his sandwich and put away his cards. "I could care less what everyone thinks of me. I refuse to become a spoiled brat and pathetic clout chaser like all Obelisk Blues. I hate spoiled rich kids for a reason." Red Hat walks off not even bothering to turn around.

Blair sat for a while to ponder what he just said. 'Is that what you truely believe? I know for a fact that's not true. The way you act is out of self righteousness. You're mentality isn't healthy.' Blair then leaves the card shop and follows Red Hat.

Time 10pm

The gang arrived at the Chancellor's office, where he was sitting behind his desk. Banner was there as well, stting on a couch against the wall with Pharoh on his lap. Red Hat and Blaircame inside after seeing Jaden Syrus and Chazz enter.

"I've been waiting for you Chazz." Sheppard spoke up.

"What's this 'serious issue' Chancellor?" asked Chazz.

"Don't tell me... did the Shadow Riders come to challenge us again?" asked Jaden, feeling a bit worried.

Red Hat turned to Jaden. "If that's the case then we'll beat them no problem."

"This problem's about a different incident." answered Banner.

"Yeah? Then what is it?" Chazz asked.

Sheppard's face fell a little. "Well, a sudden offer to buy out our academy has come up. As it turns out that our fate will be settled in a duel between the buying party and a student representing us." explained Sheppard.

"What!? Buying out the Academy?" Chazz repeated.

"In a duel?" Jaden added.

"It's because our owner has changed. It would seem that the buying party has brought up the duel's conditions with him..."

Flashback

An intimidating man in a white trench coat stood in his office, with his back to two men in suits who wanted to buy Duel Academy. "Very well. You'll open up the road to the future. There's not one duelist in Duel Academy that'll lose to you. If you win the duel, I'll hand the Academy over."

Flashback end

"Well it sounds like that's what he said." Banner stated.

"Then, Chancellor, let me duel." JAden said, determined to beat whoever this business creep was.

"I can't do that. The other party has already named the duelist." Sheppard explained.

"You're not telling me. It's Chazz?" said Red Hat. Not amused y this.

"For some reason, they asked for him specifically." Banner said as he got up and walked over to a TV screen on the wall with Duel Academy logo, where a loud beeping noise was heard. "I believe this is them now."

"On screen." Sheppard ordered.

"Yes." Banner then pressed a button on the controls below, and everyone was surprsed to see two familiar faces appear on the screen.

"Wait so that buying party is, it's Chazz's brothers!?" Syrus piped up.

"That figures." Jaden muttered.

"Just when I though this couldn't get any worse." Red Hat muttered.

"Lousy scrubs! What are you up to!?" Chazz demanded.

"As you know, our goal is to rule over the political world..." Slade said

"The financial world..." Jagger added.

"...and the card game world as well... and to make the world into the Princeton Empire. Complete World domination!" They both said.

"But I'm already not..." Chazz said as he was interrupted.

"Who makes some bum his opponent?" Slade snapped at him.

"We've decided to make that Academy ours personally, and to make our way into the card game world!" Jagger added. "We'll have you battle against Slade here with the academy at stake."

"So I'm dueling Slade?" Chazz asked.

"You'll take him easy, Chazz!" Syrus encouraged.

"Chazz's brothers are amateurs in dueling." Jaden added. "There's no way they can win against Chazz, since he has more skills then anyone in the academy!"

Red Hat held back his laughter. Blair just looked at him and frowned as she knew what he was thinking. 'Jaden, you're giving Chazz too much credit. Also that's not a high bar considering the Obelisk Blues are terrible duelists by default.' Red Hat thought.

Slade and Jagger laughed at them. "Of course, we'll be using a handicap." Slade explained as he showed a briefcase full of 'rare' Duel monsters cards. "These are the cards you refused to use before, Chazz. I'll be making a deck out of these cards." He closed the briefcase. "And Chazz, as part of the handicap, you're only allowed to duel with monsters that have less then 500 attack points!"

"What the...!?" Chazz glared at them.

"That's ridiculous!" Syrus gasped.

"You expect him to swallow up such a bad condition." Jaden protested.

"It's not that terrible really. Chazz can just play a burn deck and have as little monsters as possible." proclaimed Red Hat.

"Wrong!" Slade retorted. "We made another handicap. Chazz must have at least 15 monsters in his deck with less then 500 attack points! Don't think you can get away with pure burn!"

Red Hat's eye twitch at that. "Feels more like you're making a mockery out of this."

"It doesn't matter and it's too late!"

Flashback

"All right." The owner of Duel Academy spoke. He looked over his shoulder, with his brunette bangs covering his eyes. "It's only natural for beginner duelists."

Flashback end

"So, it's already been decided." Slade said.

"There's no way he could've..." Jaden said as he turned to Sheppard. Sheppard nodded at that, confirming it.

"The duel will be in three days. We're looking forward to it." said Slade.

"It can't be." Jaden said worriedly.

"This isn't fair!" Syrus protested.

"No it's not." Slade replied. "But then that's the point!" With that said, the older Princetons laughed triumphantly before the screen turned off.

"Now that that's over with. I'll head back." Chazz said before turning and leaving.

Jaden and Syrus gasped at that and followed Chazz. "Hold on! We can help you out, too!" assured Jaden.

"He's right." Syrus added.

"No you won't. I'm the one who's dueling." Chazz replied as he left the Chancellor's office as Jaden and Syrus soon followed suit. As Red Hat was about to leave, Sheppard wanted a small talk with him.

"Red Hat, there's something I want to explain to you." Sheppard called out to Red Hat. Red Hat turned to face Sheppard.

"Explain what to me?" asked Red Hat, not understanding what Sheppard meant.

"Listen Red Hat, I know you been conflicted this past months. But do try and calm down. I've been hearing reports you been antagonizing the Obelisk Blue students in duels." Sheppard explained.

Red Hat frowned at this, but refused to cave in to Sheppards words. "Me in Slifer Red just makes it easier to put them in their place and put them down. I hate how all high and mighty Obelisk Blues are, yet are nothing more then rich spoiled entitled brats."

Sheppard sighed at this response almost expecting this. "Red Hat, there's plenty of Obelisk Blues without that mentality of thinking. Yet you associate all of them like that, where you know that's not true. Besides you have plenty of opportunities to become an Obelisk Blue or even Ra Yellow."

Red Hat fought the urge to scoff at that, as to not disrespect Sheppard. "Obelisk Blue isn't my style. Rich class elites isn't my thing, and I refuse to become spoiled like them. Ra Yellow, I'm not interesting in going there even though it isn't so bad."

Sheppard takes out several files marked classified. "I have your records here Red Hat, it's mostly negative. I understand what you went through Red Hat. But this isn't the way to go about it. You can't take your anger out on everyone. That's a quick way to get black listed in many areas."

"Sheppard I..." Red Hat tried to retort, but had nothing to say as he fiddled with his words.

Sheppard put away the doccuments. "I know you want to be a pro duelist someday Red Hat. But this attitude problem of yours won't get you anywhere. It will make it worse for you in the long run."

"Sheppard, I take dueling very seriously and constantly evolve. I'm not lowering my standards for some nonsensical reason." said Red Hat.

"You know that's not what I mean. Just look at Zane, he has high standards in dueling, but he respects his opponents and looks at different perspectives. Jaden likes having a good time, and wants his opponents to have fun too. The others Chazz, Alexis, and Bastion take dueling seriously, but know how to take it easy and are well liked." Sheppard explained. "You rediate negitive emotions, and act no better then those you claim to hate. I'm not saying to becomes friends with them, but try to understand them or understand different perspectives. You're a good person at heart Red Hat. Last thing I want is for you to be in big trouble. I know what happened that you abandoned your real name."

Red Hat remained silent for a short while. He pondered what Sheppard just told him. 'So he helped me? But why?' he kept thinking to himself. 'Am I really that bad with my attitude? I always thought I'm just indifferent and having an aloof demeaner.' Red Hat knew better. He also knew not to trust or even attempt to be with Obelisk Blues, let alone people like Chazz. 'I don't have to like them, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna be nice either. They try an act like rich elite snobs, then they get what they diserve.' After a few moments, Red Hat finally answered Sheppard. "I'll keep that in mind Chancellor."

"Alright you're dismissed Red Hat." Sheppard said as Red Hat was dismissed. Red Hat was oblivious to the fact Blair left a while ago to follow Jaden.

Somehow for some reason, the news spread through the entire school. As a result, the students talked about it. As he walked through the hallway, he heard some of the things they said.

"I'm sure that this duel..."

"Yeah you're right."

"It's a scheme by the Princeton brothers!"

"Then, Chazz is planning to lose from the start?"

"If this place becomes the Princeton Group's, that'd make it Chazz's, too, wouldn't it?"

"Listen you guys!" Jaden's voice spoke up.

Chazz turned around and saw him standing behind him, a calm, but serious look on his face.

"You shouldn't talk like that shouldn't you? Chazz is a student here you know! If you dueled him at least once, you'd know he's not that kind of guy, wouldn't you?"

Chazz scowled. "You're saying to much Jaden! I thought I told you that I didn't need your help?"

"What are you..." Jaden said.

"This isn't the time to be fighting!" Bastion commented as he and Alexis came up to him. "We heard everything."

"If there's something we can do, tell us." Alexis said.

"We'll help out." Bastion added.

Chazz lowered his head. "No you won't."

"Don't be so stubborn." Zane said as he and Red Hat joined them all. "Losing the duel would be acceptable, but you can't even duel, can you?"

Jaden and Blair gasped at this. Red Hat raised an eye brow at that comment. 'If I had to guess, Chazz hasn't even bothered to try and make the deck.' Red Hat thought.

"What do you mean?" Syrus asked.

"What I mean is, Chazz doesn't have cards with less then 500 attack points." Zane replied.

"Wait, so you're telling me he doesn't even have the cards?" Blair asked.

"My deck was originally what I call a power deck." Chazz points out. "It didn't contain any monsters with less then 500 attack points. All I got left... is him." He held up his Ojama Yellow card, earning disbelieved gasps from all the students around him except Red Hat who just sweat dropped at the scene.

"No way! Then you're telling me you haven't even made the deck?" Jaden stated.

"Well, I only heard of it as a rumor, but..." Everyone turned to see Banner sitting neary on a stairway, holding Pharaoh. "There's a place on one part of the island where you may be able to get them. Inside the forest, there's a dried-up well that no one has gotten close to. It's something you must never do, but I heard that, in the past... the students of the academy threw away their excessively-weak cards away there. However, those who approached that well were cursed by the grudge of the thrown away cards."

"I don't care! Even if I get cursed, I have to get those cards! I have to protect this academy, after all!" declares Chazz

The announcement earned him some chhears from the students, except Red Hat.

"All right!"

"You're the man Chazz!"

Red Hat left as he was not willing to this farce. 'I refuse to take part in this.' Red Hat leaves the area and Blair follows him as to not get caught by the others.

Time 12pm

Red Hat entered his room and slept on his lower bunk bed. Blair left and went to the cafeteria to see if there was left over food. Red Hat continued to sleep for a while until soon somehing would happen to him.

Spirit Realm

Red Hat would soon wake up, but not in his room, but rather in a luminated cavern with serveral stalagmites surrounding the area. Red Hat though stood up and stretched his limbs, glancing around to see what was going on. After looking around he sees several familiar Duel Monsters surrounding him with curiosty and fear in their eyes. Most of these duel monsters to Red Hat he knew were low level underpowered vanilla monsters.

Red Hat stood in disbelief at the sight of this. 'Actual Duel Monsters? Is this a dream?' Red Hat got close to them, but as he tried they moved away from him out of fear. "Wait..."

"They won't come to you. You're aura is hostile." said a feminine voice.

Looking around, Red Hat sees where the voice was coming from. Red Hat then sees a girl coming close to reveal herself. It was a short, brown eyed girl with short slightly messy brown hair. She also wore squared glasses. She was wearing a brown robe with a green shirt and blue shorts and brown boots. She was holding a brown staff with a brown gem at it's tip.

"Just who are you?" asked Red Hat, not even being intimidated by her presence. "And where are we?"

"You're in the spirit world. Don't worry. Your real body's safe and sound."

"Huh? What do you mean by that and why am I here?" asked Red Hat.

The girl chuckled at his response. "Call me Aussa the Earth Charmer or just Aussa." The girl now named Aussa stated. "You, are an interesting fellow. You have such great power and skill, but tainted by the darkness in your own heart."

Red Hat frowns at what she says. "Just what do you mean by that. I'm just a serious guy that puts down those that believe to be better when in reality they are terrible and are complete assholes."

Aussa adjusted her glasses and chuckles. "You have no self awareness do you."

"What do you mean?"

"You act self righteous, but you can not see your own anger and hate. You're no better then those you claim to hate." explains Aussa.

"They are just spoiled brats They deserve the beatings they get."

Aussa sighs but looks streight in his eye. "You think you're actions justify it? All you do is create resentment to humans around you." Aussa gets close to the other duel monster spirits and lightly pats their heads. The duel monster spirits like the feeling Aussa does. "You treat duel spirits the same way. You may not see or hear them, but it's true."

Red Hat sat down and had a scowl on his face. "So what, you want me to be nice to everyone and even to terrible people. Don't be ridiclous."

Aussa chuckles at his words. "Twisting my words where you know that's not what I mean. Don't drive my patience." Soon a duel disk appears on her left arm. "Let duel. I want to test you and you're resolve."

Red Hat stands up and soon imagines a duel disk and it appears on his left arm. "Very well. I show you my skills!"

DUEL

Aussa: 8000 LP

Red Hat: 8000 LP

"I'll go first, my turn I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I play the spell Graceful Charity! I draw three cards then discard two." Red Hat draws his cards and discards Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer and Magical Merchant. "I banish Magical Merchant and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, to special summon Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" The chaos warrior appeard on the field all the small duel spirits ran off and hid.

Aussa was unfazed by the pressence of the Chaos warrior. "So you brought him out. Impressive play."

"I set a monster facedown then I set 3 cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat end his turn.

Hand 1

"Very well, my turn I draw." Aussa draws.

Hand 6

"I play the spell Heavy Storm. So all your spells and traps are destroyed." Aussa calmly states as powerful winds emerged destroying Red Hat's back row. "Now I play Pot of Greed, so I draw 2 cards." Aussa draws her cards. "I triute Alpha, Beta, and Gamma the Magnet Warrior from my hand to special summon Valkyrion the Magna Warrior! (Atk: 3500 Def: 3800)" The three magent warriors split apart and combined their parts to create their new form. "Now time for a little twist. I summon this Familiar Possessed - Aussa! (Atk: 1850 Def: 1500)" An older version of Aussa appears onto the field. "Now I set a facedown."

"Tch, is that all?" asked Red Hat.

"Not quite. Battle, Valkyrion attack his Black Luster Soldier!" The magnet warrior charged in attacked the chaos soldier and destroyed him.

Red Hat: 8000 - 7500 LP

"Now Familiar Possessed - Aussa attack his facedown monster. Staff Batton Bash!" The older Aussa twirls her staff around before slamming her staff on the facedown monster revealing to be Morphing Jar. (Atk: 700 Def: 600)

"Morphing Jar's effect, since it was flipped we discard our hands then we draw 5 cards." Red Hat explains as he discards his one card and draws 5, while Aussa just draws 5 cards as she had no hand. "One of the cards I discarded was Dandylion so I get two fluff tokens. (Atk: 0 Def: 0 X2)" Two fluff toakens appear on his field.

"I'll set another card facedown and I'll tribute Valyrion, to bring back Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, the Maget Warrior. (Atk: 1400 Def: 1700) (Atk: 1700 Def: 1600) (Atk: 1500 Def: 1800) With that, I end my turn turn." Auusa ends her turn as Valkrion splits back into it's three original forms.

Hand 4

"My turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.

Hand 6

"I play the spell Raigeki! So all your monsters are destroyed!" As a thunderbolt was about to hit the monsters, Aussa merly smiled.

"Go continous trap, Imperial Order! This card negates all spell cards so long as it's on the field." As the card was activated a king appeared onto the field and with his powered stop the blast of lightning before disappearing.

"Argh! Fine, I'l tribute both my fluff tokens to summon Dark Magician of Chaos! (Atk: 2800 Def: 2600)" The chaos magician appeared on the field. The smaller spirits ran off and hid further into the cave. "His effect, I can bring back a spell card from my grave and I choose Graceful Charity."

"Too bad you can't use it or any spell for that matter thanks to Imperial Order." Aussa reminded him.

"Don't remind me, Dark Magician of Chaos, destroy Familiar Possessed - Aussa! Chaos Scepter Blast!" As the Chaos Magician was about to charge up it's attack, Assua was not bothered.

"Go trap! Ring of Destruction! This will destroy a monster and we both take damage equal to it's attack points. I choose your Magician of Chaos." A ring packed with grenades attach itself onto Dark Magician f Chaos neck before soon the ring caused a huge explosion, cauing the cave to rumble after the explosion.

Red Hat: 7500 - 4700 LP

Aussa: 8000 - 5200 LP

"I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

Hand 3

"Alright, watashi no turn draw!" Aussa draws.

Hand 5

"I'll refuse to pay the cost, so Imperial Order is destroyed. Now I play the spell Harpies Feather Duster! With this all your backrow is destroyed!" Soon winds from the feathers came blowing strong winds.

"Go trap! Solemn Judgment! I pay have my LP to negate your spell!" Soon a wave of holy light, stopped the winds from Feather Duster.

Red Hat: 4700 - 2350 LP

"Very well, now I play the quick play MST to destroy your facedown." Powerful winds emerge to destroy the facedown.

"Go trap! Call of the Haunted! I bring back Dandylion. Since Dandylion was destroyed I get two fluff tokens! (Atk: 0 Def: 0 X2)" As Dandylion returned to the field, the destruction of call of the Haunted caused him to be destroyed and two fluff tokens took it's place.

"You're struggling, I summon myself Aussa the Earth Charmer! (Atk: 500 Def: 1500)" Aussa moves to the fron on the field, summoning herself. "Battle! Beta and Alpha The Magnet Warrior attack his fluff tokens!" Booth Alpha and Beta charged in and attacked the fluff tokens destroying them. "Now, Familiar Possessed - Aussa attack him directly! Staff Baton Bash!" The other Aussa twirls her staff before attacking Red Hat with her staff.

Red Hat: 2350 - 500 LP

"Now it's my turn to attack you directly. Don't take this personally." Aussa begins a chant and soon fires a brown energy ball from her staff and hits Red Hat directly.

Red Hat: 500 - 0 LP

Red Hat falls to one knee. He's in disbelief at what just happened. "I lose to something like that?"

Aussa comes close to him. "The purpose of this duel wasn't for me to win. It was to see how you are, and to teach you a lesson."

Red Hat looked at her confused. "What do you mean? I just hate using now useless cards or those that are outdated." Red Hat sighs. "What? You want me to pull that generic speach of 'Okay I was wrong there's more to dueling then using only powerful cards. I learned my lesson.' that many do."

Aussa chuckled at his poor attempt at humor. "You are so stubborn. You remind me of my friend Hiita." Aussa adjusted her glasses as Red Hat got up. "This was a test of your abilities. You are powerful, but power comes with responsibility. You lack responsibility, and you lack a bond. Something you don't seem to fully understand."

Red Hat fought the urge to scowl. "A bond? What for? There's no reason to for outdated cards, duel spirits or not. What's powerful now, wont be good when the next powerhouse comes."

"Didn't anyone tell you, you are a hypocrite. You say you don't care aout bonds yet you grown attached to Dandylion. You want to 'put others in their place', yet you act no different from them, even though you back it up." Aussa explains, trying her best to be paitent with Red Hat.

As Red Hat wanted to retort the duel spirit of Dandylion comes near him and looks at him with curiosity. "Huh? Dandylion?" Red Hat didn't get close as not to scare the small plant creature.

Aussa giggled at Red Hat's lack of understanding. "You say you don't have an attactment, yet here you are having one with Dandylion." Aussa sat down as she crossed her legs, while also petting the plant creature. "Tell me Red Hat. Do you truly hate us? Or you only hate us because we don't havethe same power as The Magician of Chaos, Black Luster Soldier - Enoy of the Beginning, Lord Zaborg, Lord Mobius, Lord Thestalos, or even the notorious Chaos Emperor Dragon - Enoy of the End?"

Red Hat tried to answer that question, but he couldn't. 'Why can't I just answer. The answer is obvious.' he thought. "It's not that I hate you. I really don't hate any of you. It's just why should I care to play outdated cards. I'm not gonna pull a 'There's no card out there that's useless.' Even though there's plenty of cards which are totally uselss like Pot of Generosity and Cold Feet. It's also really dumb logic."

Aussa understood Red Hat's explaination, but she knew there was more. "It's true there's cards that are useless. I won't deny that, but most of those bad cards were never intended to be used seriously. I know you have more to say, but can't tell me. Troubled past?"

Red Hat layed down on the ground and began to remember about some parts of his past. "When I was younger, I used to duel a lot. Back then I didn't have all these powerful cards. I had to keep getting packs after packs until I got them. Some, I had to win as they were tournament prize cards, such as Chaos Emperor Dragon as he's been out of print for ages."

"I'm listening, keep going." commented Aussa.

Red Hat sighs before continuing. "Once I started moving far away from Summon Skull beatdown which many were playing at the time or anything else they had, that's where I slowly realized how entitled people are. Often many would tell me 'You're to strong. You aren't fun to duel around. You always play the same powerful cards. Play something else or something more fair.' That's where I started to not only stopped caring, but also grow resentment, cause I have to lower my own standards just to duel someone and not complain. Just cause they can't win with vanilla monster beatdown or a deck that used to be good, but not anymore. Keep in mind I was much younger just not a kid."

Aussa now understood why, but she knew better as Red Hat wasn't telling the full story. She decided not to push him to keep telling her. "So that's why you have such an elitist attitude. Tell me Red Hat, do you think dwelling on the past and using that to justify your actions makes it right? Cause it doesn't, you're just repeating the same mistakes just in a different way. Look at our duel for example, I sensed your aura. You were not only over confident, but also arrogant. You got careless and you missed many things you wouldn't otherwise. Did you think you were unbeatable just cause you have the most powerful cards? There's no point in powerful cards if the user has no skill or is very careless."

Red Hat pondered at what she said. Could he have been wrong? Or was it more he can't let go. "When you don't have competition and only 3 give you a reasonable challenge, then... it goes without saying."

Aussa now looked directly in the eye. "And that's how you don't grow as a duelist. Times change and eventually someone else will rise to the top. Nothing last forever, and you know that. This isn't a lecture, this was lesson to teach many things to you like, the value in what you have and what you get. Although I can only do so much, as you have to figure the rest out on you're own." Aussa then chuckles. "You have good qualitites, but you mostly show bad ones out of distain. Listen we aren't telling you to lower your standards or place us in your deck at the expense of your victory, but do try and understand and appreciate certain cards even if you have no intention of using. Minus the bad cards of course. Unlike some other people who are too scared to make simple plays because of some super ficial contrive mind set. You know what to do, you just don't know how to respond to such matters like this."

Red Hat then gets up and look around the place. "How do I leave this place anyway?"

Aussa smiles, and soon a bright light which formed a door appears. "Go through there and you'll return to your world in your room."

Red Hat rubs the back of his head sheeplessly and soon walks away. "Was nice knowing you Aussa the Earth Charmer." Red Hat waves good bye as he enters the bright light.

Aussa also waves good bye as he leaves. 'Someone to protect and share a bond. Until you figure that out and find the true meaning of that, you'll never find true happiness or grow as a person Red Hat. You remind me of Hiita.' Aussa thought as she began to walk away from sight along with the other small spirits with a slight smile. 'Someday we'll meet again...partner for now.'

Time 2pm

"Huh?!"

Red Hat gasped, as he woke and slammed his head on the upper bunk bed. Red Hat rubbed his head to soften his slight wound. "Just what was that all about?"

"So you finally woke up." Blair came inside as she had a sandwich with her and some water. "Here, have a sandwich I got from the sandwich cart." Blair hands him the sandwich she got for him.

Red Hat takes the sandwich and slightly smiles. As he takes a bit from the sandwich he smiles. "Chicken sandwich, thanks Blair, this is good." As Red Hat continues to eat, Blair then took a look at his deck. Two cards caught her attention and took them.

"Red Hat, I took a look at your deck." Blair doesn't face Red Hat at first, but then faces him. "When did you always have these two cards?" Blair shows him Aussa the Earth Charmer and Familiar Possessed - Aussa.

Red Hat nearly choked when he saw those cards, when Blair tells him those are in his deck. "I never had those cards in my deck." Red Hat took the cards from Blair and took a look. 'So it wasn't a dream?' Red Hat then heard a very faint voice.

'Of course not. Humans like you are stubborn.' The voice of Aussa says. Red Hat looks around to see anything only for nothing to happen.

Blair starred at him confused. "Are you alright? It looks like you seen a ghost." Blair then smirks. "Oh don't tell me, that card is what some call your Idol card."

Red Hat lightly blushed and shoock his head. "Hey that's not true in the slightest."

Blair giggled at his expense. "Why are you so flustered. That's basically self admiting it's true."

"H-H-Hey!? I don't have an Idol card, and I never play such cards." Red Hat retorted.

Blair then burst out laughing. "Wow, the big bad Red Hat actually does have a heart and plays girl cards in secret."

Red Hat lowers his hat to hide his embarrasment. "I'm leaving, I'm not gonna put up with this." As Red Hat was about to leave, he took his deck and the Aussa cards. Blair stops laughing at him.

"Oh, Jaden was looking for you. He wants you to go with him and Chazz out in the woods." said Blair.

"I see, thanks for letting me know." Red Hat then leaves his room as Blair stays behind.

'I'm sorry about before Red Hat. Sometimes I just don't understand you.' thought Blair.

Time 2:30pm

Red Hat has been wondering around the forest, he was able to find both Jaden and Chazz walking along a specific path in the forest. "Jaden!" Red Hat calls out.

Jaden turns to his direction and waves at Red Hat. "Hey Red Hat! Over here!" Jaden calls out.

Red Hat runs up to catch up to him. "I heard from Blair, you were looking for me."

"Yeah, I've een looking for you. I wanted you to come with me and Chaz and find this well." explained Jaden.

Red Hat gave a slight smile. "Normally I don't care about others affairs, but I'm curious about this so called well myself."

"Then what are we waiting for. Let's follow Chazz and see if we can find this well." said Jaden, as he and Red Hat follow Chazz.

Time 3pm

As they kept going to keep up with Chazz, as they were walking down a dirt path in the forest. He was hoping to do this alone, but he was being followed y Jaden who found Red Hat and followed him too.

"Hey, why are you both come and follow me so nonchalantly." Chazz turned and glared at Jaden and Red Hat.

"Well, I mean, the fate of Duel Academy is riding on you! If an evil spirit comes after you, I'll have to protect you." Jaden replied.

"I'm just curious about this well." Red Hat added.

"How stupid..." Chazz turned around and started to walk again. "There's no way that some evil card spirits are here..." He was interrupted when a half dozen white, ghost-like creatures appeared in midair, floating around them while moaning loudly. "So, they're really here..."

"I knew you could see duel spirits too." Jaden commented.

'I can't see duel spirits at all. Not sure how these two deal with them.' Red Hat thought as he remembers what happened to him earlier.

"Well talk about this stupid stuff later. They're coming." said Chazz. Three of the ghost floated downward and passed through one of the boys each although they didn't feel any pain. Red Hat was completely oblivious to what Jaden and Chazz were experience.

"Huh? Guess they're nothing to worry about." Jaden said.

"Now I get it." Chazz replied. "They all have zero attack. So, does this mean even as evil spirits, they're still smallfries among smallfries?" The trio ignored the angry spirits and kept walking. Some time later, they came out to a clearing where they found the remains of an old well.

"Wow,, it's the well! The well!" Jaden pointed out.

"Quiet! I can tell by looking at it!" Chazz snapped. Once they reached the hole, Chazz pulled out a rope ladder from his back pack and tied it to a trunk before throwing down to the hole. The trio climed down and reached the bottom, which was like a big cavern. They could even see a BIG number of cards laying around on the stone floor.

"Check out these cards." Jaden said, looking around.

"What a waste. At least I have the deceny to put the cards in a box or in my binder. Why throw them away like this anyway unless you're that petty." Red Hat added, as he began to look around.

Chazz kneeled down. "I see... just a lot of weak cards here."

"Still, there's some pretty interesting cards here." Jaden said.

Red Hat looked around and saw many cards. Some caught his eye. "Skull Servant? It's slowly becoming a deck. Not good, but it's getting started." He found another. "Relinquished? There's power creep, and then there's you trying to claim it's bad. So many cards here are mostly underpowered. I have nothing to say for the vanillas. These days vanillas that aren't 1900 beaters are novelty collecions." Red Hat picked up said cards and regrouped with Jaden and Chazz.

It was at that moment that two duel spirits popped out of their respective cards. They were rather small, wearing matching Red bikini briefs. One of them was black with a chubby body, sharp teeth, and a large nose. The other one was green with a muscled body, a single eye in the middle of his forehead and long tongue sticking out of his mouth.

"In case you knuckleheads haven't notice, this is private property!" The black spirit pointed out.

"Yeah, that's telling them!" The green spirit agreed.

"What?" Jaden and Chazz said in unison and turned to the spirits.

Red Hat couldn't see the spirits, so he had to guess Chazz and Jaden where talking to the spirits. 'Must be talking to spirits. It's not my place to speak up as I can't actually interact with them.'

"Don't tell me they forgot about our grudge from gettin' thrown away?"

"Well did ya?!"

"How would I know? It's not like I threw you away." Chazz remined them.

"Why ya!" The black spirit shouted, glaring at him. "If you're startin' somethin', we'll take you on!"

"We'll take you on!" The green spirit added with a glare.

"If you're coming at me then bring it on. What can you guys without a decent attack like you do?"

"Nothing!" The black duel spirit said.

"Nothing at all!" The green duel spirit said. The black duel spirit sobbed, while his green spirit companion burst into tears. Both of them hugged each other in order to comfort the one and other, thus making the other weaker duel spirits sob loudly as well.

Both Chazz and Jaden covered their ears, trying to block out the sobbing and whining. "Aw, shut up! Don't cry! It's repulsive!" yelled Chazz.

"Aw man, awesome..." said Jaden while covering his ears. Red Hat in the meanwhile started climbing up the ladder and out of the well, as he was unable to hear the spirits.

"I knew we were bums!" sobbed the black duel spirit. "We can't even scare guys like these! If we could our little bro, we'd combine our three brotherly powers, and we'd be able to do somethin'!"

"Little bro, where'd ya end up goin'?" sobbed the greed duel spirit.

"Ojama Yellow!"

"Huh? Did someone call me?" asked Ojama Yellow, as he popped out of his card, and leapt onto Chazz's head. "Brother Black!, Brother Green!"

Ceasing their crying spree, both Ojama Black and Green spotted Yellow before their tears of sorrow turned into tears of joy. "So, you're alright, Ojama Yellow!"

"My brothers!" Happy to be reunited with them, Ojama Yellow leapt into their open arms before he was spun around over and over by the two of them out of joy and happiness.

"So that's it! You guys were brothers, huh?" said Jaden.

"It's like a repulsive reunion from the grave." muttered Chazz before standing up. "We're heading back."

"Heading back? And the cards?"

"Hey hurry! Beg for him, brothers!" Ojama Yellow told his brother out loud. "He should get you guys out of here!"

"You mean it! Then we'll beg 'im!" Ojama Black then turns to Chazz. "Even if ya leave everyone else here..."

"Just get us outta here!" Ojama Green called out.

"Do these guys want to be servants?" Jaden sweat dropped at the scene.

"C'mon, get us out! We beg ya!" The Ojamas cried out, before more duel spirits joined the conversation, wishing to leave.

"Chazz?" Jaden shifted his attention from the duel spirits to Chazz.

"It's The Chazz." Chazz sighed in inrritation. "Fine, all right. I'll look after all of these guys."

Jaden smiles as the rest of the duel spirits inside the well exploded into cheering as they were finally going to be freed at long last. "Thanks, Master Chazz!" the Duel Spirits explaimed.

"It's The Chazz!" Chazz reminded them, already feeling confortable.

"Thank you Boss!" shouted the Ojama brothers as they pounced on Chazz, who freaked out and started trying to whack them out of the way.

After a while as Chazz got all the cards from the well, minus the cards Red Hat got. They left the well they spoted Red Hat sitting down next to the well.

"Where were you any way?" spat Chazz.

Red Hat ignored him. "I can't exactly communicate with duel spirits. So there was no point of me being there." explained Chazz.

"We'll we got the cards needed for the deck. Let's prepare for the duel that's about to come." said Jaden.

"Say Jaden." Red Hat takes out a few cards and gives them to Jaden. "Chazz may need these. It will help out."

"Thanks Red Hat, this would help a lot!" Jaden said with enthusiasim.

"Alright then, let's prepare then." with that the trio leaves the well with all the cards collected. Unbeknownst to the trio one duel spirit smiled as she vanished from site.

Wednesday

Time 10pm

After the second day has passed. All students and faculty members were seated in the main arena. Jaden, Syrus, Bastion, Alexis, and Zane was sitting together. Red Hat and Blair were at top seats alone, just above the gang. Chazz and Slade stood face to face on the platform in the middle.

"If you wanna back out, tell me now." Slade warned Chazz.

"Does this answer your question?" Chazz asked and held up his duel disk.

"Ha!" Slade smirked. "Bring it on!" Slade activated his duel disk.

"It's go time!" Chazz declared, as he readied his duel disk.

DUEL

Chazz: 8000

Slade: 8000

"My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.

Hand 6

"I set a monster and I'll set a card facedown. That ends my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Hand 4

"With that attack point handicap Chazz has on him, I bet we'll be hearing that a lot." Alexis commented.

"Chazz even said, that almost all his monsters have zero attack. So he'll be setting often." Jaden noted.

"It's my turn, Draw!" Slade draws.

Hand 6

"I'll activate Polymerization, and fuse Lord of Dragons with Divine Dragon Ragnarok."

"So they're all..." Syrus piped up.

"Parallel-rare cards?" Zane said.

Red Hat just sweat dropped at this. "What's the point? It's just to look pretty, but often the extra foil is not worth it other then to show off."

"So much money and they spend it on those rarities. Cool." Blair added.

"Come forth King Dragun! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1100)" The monster that appeared was a larger version of the armored man, with his body from the chest down eing a long serpentine dragon tail. He was holding a dragon horn in one hand.

The audience gasped at his apperance. Red Hat was not impressed. 'It's not that amazing. Besides targeting protection it dies to Mirror Force and Torrentrial.' thought Red Hat.

"King Dragun's effect, you can not target dragon type monsters with spells or traps that are on the field. In addition, once per turn I special summon a dragon type monster from my hand. Like this one for example; Luster Dragon #2! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1400)" An imposing emerald green dragon appeared.

"Two of them already?" muttered Chazz.

"Battle, King Dragun, attack his facedown monster with Fire Scorch!" The human/dragon hybrid pointed his dragon horn at the facedown revealing to be Soul Tiger. (Atk: 0 Def: 2100) "And now, Luster Dragon number #2, attack with Emerald Flame Attack!" The emerald dragon spat out a blast of flames at Chazz, causing him to scream in pain.

Chazz: 8000 - 5600 LP

Everyone cringed at this. Red Hat looked at the duel with a calm face.

"Chazz, he got nailed." Jaden pointed out.

"Is Slade really a beginner duelist?" Bastion said.

"I end my turn, your move Chazz." Slade said smugly, as he ends his turn.

Hand 2

"MY turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.

Hand 5

"I play Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2." Chazz draws his three cards and discards Cerimonial Bell and Dandylion. "Now Dandylion effect, since he was sent to the graveyard, I get two fluff tokens on my field with zero attack and defense. (Atk: 0 Def: 0 X2) Now I set another facedown card and end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Hand 4

"That's all? I draw!" Slade draws.

Hand 3

"This will be easier then I thought. I summon Luster Dragon in attack mode! (Atk: 1900 Def: 1600)" A smaller, blue dragon appeared. "And now Dragun's effect, I special summon Hyozanru! (Atk: 2100 Def: 2800)" The diamond scaled dragon rose up between its allies.

"Four monsters!?" Chazz noted.

"It's your brothers pity!" Slade taunted. "It's the least I can do to decide the match this turn and spare you the suffering. Battle, Luster Dragon and Hyozanru attack both of his fluff tokens!" Both dragons attacked and destroyed the fluff tokens. "Now attack him Lunster Dragon #2 Emerald Flame attack!" As the dragon fired his blast again. This time Chazz was ready.

"Go trap card! Dimension Wall!" Chazz declared as the card was revealed. "Any damage I would take is instead inflicted on you instead. This card doesn't target, so you can't stop it!" A wall appeared and it showed to be Slade instead of Chazz. Slade then took the damage.

Slade: 8000 - 5600 LP

"Argh! You won't make a fool out of me. King Dragun attack with Fire Scorch!" King Dragun fires another blast. Chazz once again was ready.

"Go trap another Dimension Wall! You take the damage instead!" Once again a wall appeared and it appeared as Slade instead of Chazz once again.

Slade: 5600 - 3200 LP

"Is this all you got! Just mindless burn damage. I end my turn." Slade ends his turn.

Hand 1

"My turn I draw."

Hand 5

"I set a monster facedown and that ends my turn."

Had 4

"My draw!" Slade draws.

Hand 2

"Battle King Dragun attack his last monster with fire scorch!" Dragun fired another sream of fire on the facedown monster revealing to be Unhappy Maiden (Atk: 0 Def: 100). Slade smirked as victory was his... that is, until he was shocked to see a swarm of tiny, cloaked and masked creature float from the explosion's smoke, latching onto all his dragons. "What are these things!?"

"Unhappy Maiden's effect, whe she is sent to the graveyard it automatically ends your battle phase." Chazz said calmly. The dragons were now surrounded by a dark aura, like they were depressed.

Slade glared at Chazz. "So you last a bit longer. It doesn't matter. I set a card facedown and end my turn." Slade ends his turn.

Hand 1

"My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.

Hand 5

"I set a monster, then I play the continuous spell The Dark Door! As long as this card is on the field, both of us can only attack with one monster each battle phase. I end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Hand 3

"Nice try bro. But it's just a matter of time before I bust that door down. My draw!" Slade draws.

Hand 2

"Go continuous trap! Dragon's Rage! With this card, now all my dragons can do piercing damage. Battle, King Dragun attack with Fire Scorch!" Dragun shot out another blast of fire and revealed Spirit of the Breeze. (Atk: 0 Def: 1800) The blast also hits Chazz.

Chazz: 5600 - 5000 LP

"I end my turn." Slade ends his turn.

Hand 3

"My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.

Hand 4

"I set a monster facedown and end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.

Hand 3

"My turn, I draw!" Slade draws.

Hand 3

When Slade drew his card and looked at it, he chuckled. "Perfect. With this little card, your school is as good as mine. Battle, King Dragun attack his facedown monster!" Dragun shot out another blast of fire and revealed Catnipped Kitty. (Atk: 0 Def: 500) The blast also hits Chazz.

Chazz: 5000 - 3100 LP

"Now I set a facedown and end my turn." Slade ends his turn.

Hand 2

"A facedown card?" Alexis noted.

"And my guts say... he's planning to destroy Chazz's door with it." Zane suspected.

"It's my turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.

Hand 4

"Now go Trap card! Dust Tornado!" Slade interrupted. "This card destroys a spell or trap card on your field."

"Chazz's Dark Door will be destroyed." Jaden muttered.

Red Hat watched the duel carefully. 'This is your last chance Chazz. Hope you have what you need.'

Chazz gritted his teeth as the trap card created a tornado that blew his spell away and destroyed it.

"His one defense is gone!" Bastion pointed out. "Next turn, Slade will attack Chazz with everything!"

"Well bro," Jagger spoke to Slade. "I'd say this school is ours."

"I will belong to the Princeton group."

"Not so fast, bro!" Chazz interrupted. "I play Painful Choice. I pick up 5 cards from my deck, then you choose one of them then the rest go to the graveyard. Here are the cards I choose." Images of five cards appeared above him. The card in the middle was a spell, while the other four were monsters.

"How scary. Five weak cards from one weak deck. Whatever will I do?" Slade said mockigly. "I'll pick the one card that's not a monster, Thunder Crash!"

Chazz slid the monster cards into his graveyard slot. "Thank you. I was hoping you'd pick that one."

"You were?" Slade asked surprised.

"Now I play Enchanting Fitting Room!" A curtain appeared in front of Chazz. "I pay 800 LP, and get to look at the top 4 cards of my deck, and if any of them are level 3 or below normal monsters, I can special summon them and the rest return to the deck."

Chazz: 3100 - 2300 LP

The curtain opened up and revealed images of four cards. One of them was a familiar spell, while the other three were three familiar monsters. "Obviously Pot of Greed is no monster, but the three Ojama brothers sure are."

The yellow, green, and black spirits came together and yelled "Ta-da! (Atk: 0 Def: 1000 x3)"

"You are kidding!" Slade scoffed. "Don't tell me. You pin the hopes of your little Academy on these three twerps?"

"I won't let you make fun of these guys!"

The three Ojamas turned to their master. "Hey boss!"

"Sure, they have zero attack! And their appearance and personalities are the worst, no doubt about it!" That actually made them angry. "But, I was taught something by these guys!"

"What's that?" Jaden and Syrus asked.

'Enlighten us Chazz. Cause I'm sure it's just nonsense.' Red Hat thought.

"The bond between brothers!" Green said.

"That, if they combine their powers..." Black said.

"They can do anything!" Yellow said lastly.

"That the bottom lies the bottom!" The Ojamas fell over after hearing that. "Compared to these guys, I'm a hell of a lot better!"

"Enough of your nonsense Chazz!" Slade said irritably. "After all, a bum is a bum!"

"Then I'll show you the backbone of a bum. I activate a spell card!" A card appeared behind the Ojamas. "Now do your thing!"

"Right, Boss!" They said and jumped in the air.

"Yellow!"

"Black!"

"Green!"

"Combine!" They put their rear ends together. "Ojama Delta Hurricane!" And they began to spin. The audience were confused at first. But then, the Ojamas spun faster and faster until they became an indistinguishable blur. They flew up and surrounded all Slade's dragons until they exploded.

"What happened!?" Slade asked in shock. "They're all gone!"

"See that? The power of a bum?" Chazz quipped. "Ojama Delta Huricane... When the three Ojama brothers are on the field they destroy all cards on your field!"

"As long as we're here, The boss is invincible!" The Ojamas boasted.

"Now I activate the spell Thunder Crash!"

The Ojamas turned around when the spell card appeared ehind them.

"What's this but-in card?" Yellow asked.

"Thunder Crash?" Green replied.

Black leaned closer to get a better look at the spell card. "Huh... 'Destroy all monsters on your field. Inflict 300 burn damage for each monster destroyed.'"

Yellow and Green looked at each other nervously. "On your field?" Once that revelation sank in, the three Ojamas hugged each other and jumped in the air, panicking for what was coming. "No Boss! Say it ain't so!"

"You done your jobs guys. See you around." The Ojamas were absorbed into the spell card. "GO, Thunder Crash!" It then fired an electric blast, striking Slade directly.

Slade: 3200 - 2300 LP

"That doesn't mean a thing, got that!" Slade snapped. "Your deck's still full of weaklings, and mine's still full of rare monsters just rearing to tear you apart!"

"I don't think so." Chazz smirked. "Thanks to all the cards in my graveyard, Slade. I summon Chaos Necromancer! (Atk: 0 Def: 0)" A red-skinned human-like figure appeared, with long black hair, pinty ears and a deformed nose. He was dressed in a purple outfit, with a large blue shoulder guard, pointy gold gloves, and a tattered red cape. "Sure, he starts out weak, but he gains 300 attack ponits for each monster that's in my graveyard."

"Each one!" Sheppard repeated, sitting next to Banner.

"So with 13 monsters in my grave, his attack points increase to 3900. How's that for weak? (Atk: 0- 3900 Def: 0)" said Chazz.

"No way!" Slade said in shock.

The spirits of all monsters in the graveyard appeared above Chazz's field, surrounded by a green flame-like aura.

"Hey, we're back!" Yellow noted.

"So he does love us!" Black and Green said in unison.

"No! Hold on!" Slade screamed.

"Battle, Chaos Necromancer! Attack with Curtain Call Catapult!" All duel spirits gathered together and formed a single ball of green aura, floating between the Necromancer's hands. He then flung his hands forward, sending all spirirts at Slade, depleteing his LP.

"No fair!" Jagger exclaimed.

"You go bye bye!" Chazz declared.

Jaden and the others cheered at this while Slade fell to his knees.

Slade: 2300 - 0 LP

Chazz did it! Yeah!" Syrus cheered.

"He saved the school!" Jaden added.

Red Hat remained quite, but gave a very slight smile. "Good to know he did it. Lets go Blair." Red Hat then gets up, then Blair follows suit.

"Why leave now? Don't you want to celebrate?" Blair asked, as she followed him.

"You'll see why in a minute." Red Hat replied.

All the students cheered for him as well. Chazz then interrupted them. "Wait! You know the cheer! Chazz... it..."

"Up!" Jaden and Syrus filled in.

"Of course!" Alexis said.

"Chazz it up!" Chazz repeated.

"Chazz it up! Chazz it up! Chazz it up! Chazz it up! Chazz it up!"

Red Hat and Blair where soon about t leave the arena. "You see what I mean Blair. I'm not joining this, even if Chazz saved this school. Let him indulge in his short lived glory." Red Hat and Blair leave the arena.

"Imbecile!" Jagger berated his brother as he left the platform. "How could you lose this?"

"Relax Jagger." Slade muttered and looked over his shoulder. "It's only one duel."

"One duel!? Just listen to them! This 'one duel' has turned Chazz into a hero... and a major headache for us!"

The owner od Duel Academy was standing in his office, looking out the window, while one of his employess informed him about Chazz's duel. "That's obvious. I don't need such a stupid report. It was natural that he'd win."

Time 6pm

Chazz arrives at his room looking irritated. He then noticed Red Hat was standing near his room entrance. "What do you want?"

Red Hat looks up at him. "I want Dandylion back. I only gave it to you for the duel. You should be grateful." Says Red Hat as he extends his hand.

Chazz was now annoyed. "I told you I didn't need your help! Nor Jaden's help!" Chazz takes out his deck box and takes out Dandylion and tosses it to Red Hat as Red Hat catches it. "Just take it. I don't want him anyway!" said Chazz, as he entered his room. Red Hat then heard Chazz sneeze. He just smiles and enters his room and heads back to sleep until it was time for dinner.

Time 9pm

"Atchoo! Looks like I got a cold." said Chazz as he was trying to relax on his bed. However, that was really difficult to him, with all the duel spirits flying around. Especially with the Ojamas brothers chasing each other. Eventually...

"QUIET!" Chazz yelled. "Get out of here! How Long are all of you planning to stay here!?"

Yelloe floated up to him and smiled. "Come on boss, it's fine isn't it. We learned that we can all be helpful, even if we're all zero-attacks, didn't you?"

"Yeah! He's right!" Black and Green agreed.

Chazz was getting more annoyed. "What that duel made me get is that I really can't use you all! Even if I wanted to, this room's too cramped! Get the hell out of here, all of you!" Chazz soon groaned in annoyance as he tried to drown out the noise with a pillow.

A/N: The duel with Aussa and Red Hat, was inspired by different fandoms. Was fun to write down, I'm not to sure why Aussa of any duel spirit. Eh oh well. I won't continue to use her unless gags or enough demand, and if so. I'll have to make some changes. What? You wanted Red Hat to pull a Yusei Fudo? Where just changes on a whim cause he was beaten by a someone who didn't use meta. First off, anyone that takes any of that anime crap especially from 5Ds and Yusei one liners seriously, will be memed (And I'm sick of the meme culture of 5Ds). This was based on a self parody to how many casual elites act. It's why Red Hat hates the Obelisk Blue's and has no problem ridiculing them. Anime Obelisk Blues are horrible people. Tag Force they had to change it up so only very few act like anime Obelisk Blues. Most plans for these and the 5 special Tag Force (Obelisk Blue) girls they will appear when S2 begins. The duel was also to show case how out of touch people tend to be about Old School meta, or people misunderstanding was rouge decks mean. It means playing a competant deck, but not in the meta. Doesn't mean you play random garbage cards and expect to reach the top. (Anime lies and pulls this BS all the time. Anime has never represented irl meta) Anyone that can't not give me vaild points (especially one guy spamming my comment section.) I will go out of my to nerd out on this matter.
