A/: At the time of this post. This fanfic has reached over 100 favs and followers. Just wow, never thought this would get attention. In that case I'll have to up the standards, as I rather not disappoint. As for the chapter itself. Has a few gags and twists, there's only so much you can do with Dark Scorpions. Hope this meets up to standards.
Saturday
Time 11pm
Somewhere in a dark cave, a group of four were gathered around a dimly lit candle. "Is it true that our bossis finally coming?" A young male with a large hammer asked.
"At last, our day of action is here." A large, older man replied while polishing a giant, spiked mace.
"We'll act without murdering or injurying people, and without stealing anything from the poor." A woman with a thorny whip said.
"Holding fast to the three laws of stealing..." Another man with a dagger added.
The four people rose up and rought their respective weapons together. "That is what the Dark Scorpions graverobbers!"
Sunday
Time 9am
It was early in the morning, and a ferry boat was heading to the Academy Island. The only people onboard was its captain and a man wearing a rown trench coat.
"Land ho, detective!" The captain called out to the man on the deck. "That's Academy Island right up there!"
Looking out at the island, the detective squinted a bit. "The Duel Academy... Time to go to work."
Alexis and her brother Atticus were standing together in one of the main uilding's hallways. The older Rhodes was absentmindedly starting out the window. Physically, he was fine. But mentally, he wasn't doing so well. This made Alexis stare at him with a melancholy look.
"What's up, Alexis?" She turns around to see Jaden walking up to her, alongside Red Hat, Chazz, Banner, and a purple-haired man wearing a brown trench coat and hat. "How's your brother coming along?"
"He's able to walk around a bit like that now, but..." Alexis replied and turned back to her brother. "It looks like he can't remember anything yet."
"I see, it's tough on you too, huh?" said Jaden.
"But anyway, what brings you here, everyone?" Alexis wondered.
"We just needed to have a bit of a talk." Banner answered and turned to the other man, who tipped his hat to Alexis, drawing her attention to the golden eye-looking eyepatch on his right eye. Red Hat raised an eye brow at this.
"Good day, ma'am. I'm Detective Zaloog." He greeted.
Alexis blinked, as if something was off about him. "Dectective?"
"Three of the seven keys have been taken by the Shadow Riders. To that end, I talked with the Chancellor, and we decided to call for a professional detective." Banner explained.
"Why bring me into this anyway?" asked Alexis in confusion. "I don't even have a spirit key."
"You'll find out soon enough why." replied Red Hat.
"Say, where are your keys?" Jaden asked.
"Around my neck here Jaden." Red Hat answered as he showed him his keys.
"Same here." Chazz said.
"Dr. Crowler had his key around his neck as well, when I saw him earlier." Banner explained.
"So I see. Having something precious around your neck would make it appear safe at a glance." Detective Zaloog spoke up. "However, at the same time, that also ends up giving away where your precious thing is."
"So the detective suggest... we're going to be neatly storing our keys we all have." Banner added.
Time 11am
The first stop was Chazz's dorm room.
"I'll store my key here." Chazz said, hiding his key inside the sink cabinet, right behind a small couch.
"I see" Zaloog nodded. "Under the sink is an unexpected place."
It was then everyone heard a strange noise from outside. "Who's that?!" Zaloog exclaimed.
Everyone turnedand saw a big man in a blue outfit painting the railing. He had a scar over his right eye. "Oh, that's just Gorg." Jaden reassured him."He's the janitor."
Red Hat raised an eye brow at this. 'Since when did we have a janitor?' he thought ut ignored it for now.
And now it was Jaden's turn to hide his key, so everyone headed to his dorm room.
"There. The junk drawer." Jaden said and placed his key into a drawer filled with knick knack and small toys.
"Then again, a simple place is one that they're more unlikely to be able to find." Zaloog said as Chazz closed the drawer.
Soon the hear someone shout. "Beat it! Bean dip!" Soon they heard a door slam. Red Hat eye's widened, but were hidden by his hat. He thought Blair was caught and he needed to know.
The sound of someone fiddling the doorknob made Jaden run over nd open it fast. "Who's there?!" The person was startled by Jaden was a short Slifer Red boy with spiky blonde hair and a red headband. "Oh, it's you."
"Huh? A suspicious person!" Zaloog demanded. Red Hat left the room to see as well.
"Chick, you got the wrong room again?" Syrus asked as he and Chumley passed by.
"Your room's next to our's, isn't it?" Jaden reminded him.
"Y-Yeah that's right!" Chick rubbed the back of his head sheepishly as he ran off.
"He's a classmate of ours in Slifer Red, and he often get's are room confused." Chumley explained.
Red Hat left and entered his room and see that Blair was a bit angry. "Something happened?"
Blair huffed, but calmed down. "That boy bardged in here as I was doing things and kicked him out."
Red Hat sweat dropped at this. "I'm not even going to ask. Do be careful Blair okay." Red Hat left his room, leaving Blair behind as he returned to the group.
"Well got a place to hide you key young man?" Detective Zaloog asked.
"I have an idea." Red Hat took his key off from his neck. "Alexis, got a place to hide the key. Also another reason for why we need you."
"So that's why." replied Alexis as she took the key from Red Hat. "Well I got a good place so follow me."
"Lead the way."
Next stop was Alexis' room in the Obelisk Blue girl's dorm, where she placed her key inside a jewlery box. "I'll put Red Hat's key in this jewelry box."
"It's a safe place isn't it?" Zaloog complimented as Chazz closed the jewelry box.
"Everyone!" A beautiful woman with long,brown hair entered the room. She was wearing a white coat with a stethoscope around her neck and held a clipboard in her arms. "It's troublesome to have males coming and going into this dorm."
"Who is she?!" The detective asked.
"She isn't a suspecious person. She's Ms. Meanae, the nurse." Alexis assured him as the woman gave a friendly smile to everyone.
"Isn't Ms. Fontaine the schools nurse?" Red Hat asked.
"Usually that's her job." Banner explained. "But her job has become a little stressful recently, so the school decided to get an assistant for her."
"I see." Red Hat muttered. "Well Alexis, another reason we need you is to talk to Crowler. He'll flip out if we dare to talk to him."
Alexis sighed, but understood. "Alright then, I'll help you out. It's for a good cause. Crowler can be a bit stubbrn at times."
After Alexis convinced Dr. Crowler to hide his key somewhere when the Shadow Riders arrive. Crowler reluctantly agreed to this and head to the conference room and heads to where a safe was.
"I have no idea, why I have to do this rediculous nonsense. But if I must for the sake of the school, then alright."Crowler mussed. Crowler then placed his key inside a safe.
"Sure, it should be safe here." Chazz said as he closed the safe.
At that moment, because of the entrance tothe room being opened, Zaloog noticed a man in a uniform with a matching hat and glasses pass by. "Huh?! A suspecious person!"
"That's Mr. Cliff our guard." Crowler reassured him. "With him around, we can be at ease. We'll I'm out of here. I have no time for slackers!" Crowler then storms off and leaves the room.
"Now children, get to bed. You all must be exhausted." Zaloog stated as everyone leaves.
Time 9pm
Jaden and his roomates slept peacefully as well. None of them were aware of a drill that made a hole on the wall above the junk drawer.
As Alexis slept peacefully in her dorm room, a vent grate in her ceiling opened, and a thorny whip shot out of it, wrapping itself around her jewelry box, and then pulled it into the vent.
And finally in the shadowy figure who snuck into the conference room, and walked up to the safe, and positionedhis light on the lock's number dial.
With all the keys taken, the thieves gathered around the locks of the spirit gates. Three of the slots were lit because of the three keys won by the previous Shadow Riders. The remaining keys were in their own slots... which weren't lit at all.
"We finally have all the keys to open seven Spirit Gates at our disposal!"
"Still, nothing's happening."
"Unless the gates open, we won't get treasure!"
"There has to be some trick to it besides the keys!"
"I et those children know what. So much for doing this the nice way."
Meanwhile, Chazz was sleeping peacefully in his room, until a light shined into his eyes. He woke up and was greeted by the slight of JAden and Syrus waving their arms. They also seemed to be yellingat him, but because of the earplugs he was wearing, he couldn't hear a thing. He sat up and pulled them out. "What do you want? Why are you guys here? The door was locked, wasn't it?"
"Yeah, that's it! It's about the keys!" Jaden pointed at the now broken down door. "See!"
"Who... could've done..." He rushed over to the sink cabinet where he hid his key. And it turned out to be broken down, just like the door. "My key, it's... Did you two do it!?"
"Why would they steal it Chazz?" Red Hat asked annoyingly as he shows up to the entrance with Blair by his side. "Besides, Jaden's key was also stolen. That can only mean mine and Crowler's keys were stolen was well."
"It couldn't be.. The Shadow Riders doing!?" Jaden and Chazz said unison.
"At any rate, let's get the others together!" Jaden suggested.
Red Hat shook his head. "Unless you want an earful from Crowler. It's best you don't bother. Bring Alexis and Banner over."
"Good idea, let's get them." Jaden agreed.
After gathering the others, plus Syrus, Chumley and Blair, they all sat in Chazz's rather cramped room. "So, why is it my room?" asked Chazz.
"My how could this happen?" Banner asked.
"That's why I'm asking why everyone's here!" Chazz glared at the others. "And bring him with us anyway?"
Red Hat scoffed. "Explain why Syrus and Chumley are with us?"
Blair pulled her tongue out at Chazz. "Besides I have every right to come along."
This only angered Chazz more. "Why you! Wait until I get my hands on you!"
"This has become a serious matter, hasn't it?" Everyone turned and saw detective Zaloog standing in the dorway, with Gorg, Chick, Meanae and Cliff standing behind him.
"Detective Zaloog! Oh it's you all!" Banner stated.
"I called them here. I thought we'd do an interrogation."
"That's also a good idea." agreed Banner.
"Well then, everyone, let's hear your stories in another room."
"All right!" Jaden stood up. "Let's split up and find the criminals, too!"
"No." Chazz said, getting everyone's attention. "Nobody move. Something's up."
"What's up?" Jaden asked.
"Chazz, why do you say that?" Banner asked.
'Im sure he has his reasons.' Red Hat thought.
"It's because the criminals that stole the keys..." said Chazz "Are in here."
"HUH?!" Everyone except Red Hat who remained quiet was baffled at his declaration, but calmed down after a moment and decided to let him give them his piece of mind.
"I'm going to solve this case, mark my words! In the name of Detective Chazz!"
"Wow! That's kinda cool!" Jaden said with such enthusiasm.
"Jaden, not now." Syrus sighed.
"Before everyone got together, I paid a visit to all the scenes of the crime!" Chazz explains.
"I get it!" Syrus replied. "A lot of evidence gets left behind at the scen of the crime!"
"Now that you mention it..." Alexis spoke. "There was something like a press-on nail that fell on my floor."
"Uh oh..." The nurse flinched and glanced at her fingers, noticing one of her red nails missing.
"Alexis, do you seriously intend to find the criminal? Clean your room frequently."
Alexis blushed in embarrassment. "I-I do it everyday!"
"I already threw that thing away." Chazz replied sarcastically.
"S-Sorry, I guess I goofed."
"Now that you mention it, there were footprints in front of the safe in the conference room when I went to check up on Crowler's key." Banner explained.
Cliff was panicking as he noticed the mud on his shoes that were placed on the floor nearby.
"Shoes are prohibited in the academy! Instead, you wear hallway slippers! I already wiped the footprints away." Chazz replied annoyingly.
Banner sweat dropped at that comment. "Oh, s-sorry about that."
Jaden turns to Syrus. "Now that you mention it, there was a hole in our room's wall, too..."
"Yeah, that's right!" Syrus replied.
"Don't mess up a room you borrowed! You won't get your deposit back!" said Chazz.
"Deposit?" Jaden asked, looking confused.
"I already plugged the hole."
"M-my goof Chazz." Jaden rubbed the back of his head.
At that time, Chick was nervously putting a hand-turn drill behind the couch.
"But then, who are the criminals?" asked Banner, trying to sort out the situation.
And then... "He did it!" Chazz exclaimed and pointed to Cliff. "And him!" Then Chick. "And him!" Then Gorg. "And her!" And finally Meanae.
Those four people were obviously startled by the accusation, but started to calm down. "W-what evidence are you using to back that up..." Chick questioned.
"He's right!" The nurse said. "If you're treating us like criminals, then surely, you have evidence?"
"Of course I do." Chazz countered with a smirk.
Detective Zaloog frowned. "However, everything that was close to evidence, you've..."
Chazz merely reached into his blazer. "The pieces of evidence... are these!" He then pulled out 3 cards and held them up. Those cards were Ojama Yellow, Green and black.
Flashback
"When we payed a visit to each room, I secretly left these guys behind along with our keys."
Chazz hid his Ojama Yellow in Jaden's junk drawer while before closing it.
Ojama Green was placed inside Alexis' jewelry box
Finally, Ojama Black was placed in the safe.
Flashback end
"And there are a lot of eyewitnesses in my room!" He grabbed a stack of the cards he got from the abandoned well and flicked them between his hands, but lasted a couple of seconds before he dropped them on his bed. "These guys... were all witnesses... were all witnessing... your criminal acts... from begining to end!"
"There's no doubt!" Black exclaimed.
"It's them!" Green pitched in.
"We all saw!" Yellow added.
"Eyewitnesses?!" Zaloog asked, confused.
"Where are they?" Meanae looked around.
"We can't see anything at all." She, along with Gorg, Chick, and cliff, looking around the room and seeing nothing.
"And Detective Zaloog, you're this gangs ringleader!" Chazz glared at Zaloog and pointed at him. "You were making us guard our keys on purpose, and you told your underlings where they were! And, as if on purpose... you showed doubt and didn't explain it to us!"
Zaloog then backed off as looking nervous as Chazz was about to expose him.
"By doing that, you erased those feelings of doubt that we had twards them!"
Right after Chazz finished that sentence, the detective chuckled evily. "As one would expect of someone really passes himself off as a detecive!"
"HOW!?" Everyone, except Red Hat, exclaimed in shock.
"That was a ridicous reasoning, but the results were right on the mark! Yes we are actually..." All five of the exposed people threw away their disguises and revealed their true clothing. Brown, tight tank tops and tight, red pants with brown patches. And each one of them had a tattoo of a black scrpion on the shoulder.
"The Dark Scorpions!" They declared, posing together, arms pointed in different directions. Blair fought the urge to laugh at the silly pose.
"The Dark Scorpions?" The key keepers, plus fiends, said together.
Red Hat raised an eyebrow at this. 'Dark Scorprions? As in the cards? If so, then this is just getting ridiculous.' he thought.
"Many years ago, I agreed to a requested task to steal the spirit keys to the seven spirit gates... so I sent my subordinates into this island!" Zaloog explained with a smirk.
"That is what the Dark Scorpions do!" They said together.
"With all the time you took, your task was sloppily done..." said Chazz.
"That is what the Dark Scorpions do!" They repeated.
"These guys are a hoot, huh?" Jaden said looking at Syrus.
"They really are." Syrus agreed.
"That is what the Dark Scorpions do!" They repeated once again.
"Still, just stealing the spirit keys won't open the seven spirit gates. You're surprisingly looking stupid." Alexis pointed out.
"That is what the Dark Scorpions do!" They repeated again, until Zaloog heard what Alexis said. "Wait, how would we make them open?"
"Allow me to tell you." Chazz smirked back. "By dueling me and winning, the gates will open!"
"Hold on a sec! What about me?" Jaden objected.
"I can take them down very easily unlike you." Red Hat smirked as he said that.
"Well, we can have Crowler duel them?" sugguested Syrus.
"Unless you want Crowler to have a scream feast at us, don't even bother." retorted Red Hat.
Zaloog grabbed a duel disk nearby. "Dueling... That's it I got these when I was requested." He laughed and put it on his arm. "In that case, we're dueling, kid!"
"Got that right!" Chazz stood up with his own duel disk ready. "So let's go, Shadow Rider!"
Time 11pm
The group left the dorm room and walked outside. Chazz and Zaloog were standing opposite each other. The key keepers and friends were standing behind Chazz, while the remaining Dark Scorprions were standing behind their leader, each carrying their own weapon. Gorg was holding a giant, spiked mace, Meanae had a whip,, Cliff held a dagger, and Chick carried a big mallet.
DUEL

"I'll go first. My tuen, I draw!" Zaloog draws.
Hand 6
"I set a monster then I set 2 cards facedowns and end my turn." Zaloog ends his turn.
Hand 3
"My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 6
"Now I play Luster Dragon in attack mode! (Atk: 1900 Def: 1600)" The blue saffire dragon appears. "Battle, Luster Dragon attack his facedown monster with Luster Purge!" The dragon fires a blast of blue fire at the facedown, revealing to be Cyber Jar. (Atk: 900 Def: 900)
"Cyber Jar's effect. It destroys all monsters on the field." Cyber Jar once it was revealed self destructed blowing itself and Luster Dragon. "Now we pick up 5 cards from our decks. If any of them are level 4 or below monsters we can summon them."
"Fine by me I'll start. 1st draw! What do you know another Luster Dragon and I'll play him in attack mode! (Atk: 1900 Def: 1600) 2nd draw, Ojamagic! 3rd draw, Armed Dragon LV3 I'll play him in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 900) 4th draw, Level up! 5th draw, and its Call of the Haunted! Your draws are next." said Chazz.
"Alright it's my turn to begin. 1st draw, Dark Scorpion - Gorg the Strong! Since he's level 5 he can't be summoned. 2nd draw, Mustering of the Dark Scorpions. 3rd draw, Reinforcement of the Army! 4th draw, Golem Sentry in facedown defence position! (Atk: 800 Def: 1800) 5th draw, is Blind Destruction!" Zaloog said.
"It's still my battle phase, so Luster Dragon attack his facedown Golem Sentry with Luster Purge!" The saphire dragon attacks and destroys the golem. "Now Armed Dragon LV3 attack him directly!" Armed Dragon charges in and slams Zaloog.
Zaloog: 8000 - 6800 LP
"I set 2 cards facedown and end my turn." Chazz ends his turn.
Hand 6
"It's my turn, I draw!" Zaloog draws.
Hand 8
"I play Reinforcement of the Army and add Don Zaloog to my hand." Zaloog smirked as he added the card."Now I summon the one and only Don Zaloog! (Atk: 1400 Def: 1500)" Everyone was surprised by hearing the name of his card.
"And when I say 'the one and only', I really mean it. ecause, my children..." Zaloog placed the card on his duel disk, and then he moved onto the field, where the monster would be. "I am him!"
Red Hat simply stared at him, as he remembered something from a few days ago. 'Aussa the Earth Charmer did that as well in my duel against her. Is he a duel spirit? It's making my head spin.' he thought.
"Now I play the spell Mustering of the Dark Scorpions! I can only activate it if I'm on the field. With this I can special any number of Dark Scorpion monsters from my hand but only 1 copy of each. So now I summon all of them. That's right. All the Dark Scorpions in my hand, come join me on the field. Now Scorpion, roll call!"
"The Dark Scorpion Muscleman Gorg the Strong! (Ath: 1800 Def: 1500)" said Gorg as he and his comrades joined their boss on the field.
"The Dark Scorpions' Lone Woman, Meanae the Thorn! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1800)" The only woman introduced her self
"Any kind of trap is a cinch for Cliff the Trap Remover! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1000)" The dagger wielding man introduced himself.
"If I take your treasue, what's left is to flee! Chick the Yellow! I'm a fast runner! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1000)" Chick introduced himself.
"And together we're the Dark Scorpions!" They exclaimed as they did their signiture pose.
This time, their pose caused Blair to laugh. The others and even Red Hat, who was next to her, sweat dropped at his laughter. "Sorry, but I can't the fact, your pose looks so goofy." Blair then calmed herself down after a laughing fit which annoyed the Dark Scorpions. "Reminds me of those silly poses from Super Sentai and other action shows."
Red Hat lightly chuckled after Blair's laughing fit. "You watch that show, or any of the ones you stated?"
Blair shook her head in denial. "Naw, one day I was flipping through channels and just so happened to stumble upon these shows and they did a similar pose like them. I just found it very silly."
Red Hat then started to lightly laugh. The others stared at him, as they never heard Red Hat genuinly laugh at all. Not even with Jaden. "I guess that makes sense. Guess the Dark Scorpions are more built for a comedy routine."
This made Zaloog now fuming mad. "Hey! Are you making fun of us! You're supposed to be frighten! Not laughing at us!" he yelled.
Both Red Hat and Blair continued laughing, until Red Hat breaks the silence. "You are the butt end of jokes. What do you expect from incompetent silly bandits." Blair just continued to laugh at what Red Hat just said, before calming down.
"Incompetent?" Zaloog was now fuming. "I'll show you incompetent! Go trap card! Dark Scorpion Combination!" Chick was standing right in front of the trap in question, he stepped aside to let everyone see it. "You see, I can only activate this when all of us are on the field. This turn we can attack directly and you take 400 damage for each attack."
Red Hat dead panned at the card. "What a stupid trap card."
"Mind explaining?" asked Blair.
Red Hat took a deep breath as to not burst out, of the sheer stupidity of the trap card. "Let's go over why that card is so horrible." He began to explain. "The condition is awful, having all Dark Scorpions on the field with no interruption is a near impossible task to pull off. 2nd off, it's a trap card, even though it has no reason to be a trap or even use it on your opponents turn. 3rd of all, the damage is reduced to 400. Why? With all Dark Scorpions on the field, their max damage is 6400 attack of damage so they can not even OTK. 4th of all, if they were that scared of United we Stand or Mage Power, why not make it original attack or make it easier to active have any Dark Scorpion and all that are on the field can attack. It's almost like that trap was made for playing with less LP or someone thought that trap would be too strong, which is most certainly is not."
Blair sweat dropped at his explaination. "And that's supposed to help them how?"
"To activate their effects as they need to deal battle damage, bu their stats are sub par. That's why." replied Red Hat.
"Now let him have it!" Zaloog anncounced as he and his comrades charged at Chazz. ypassing his monsters.
"Take this! Thorn Whip!" Meanae shouted and lashed out with her whip.
"Double Blast Attack!" Zaloog pulled out two pistols and fired two shots.
"Scorpion Clice!" Cliff struck with his dagger.
"Mallet Bash!" Chick swung his hammer.
"Herculean Hammer!" Gorg finished, raising his mace.
Once all five attacks struck Chazz, the Dark Scorpions returned to their field. And then, Chazz recoiled and cried out in pain.
Red Hat lightly chuckled. 'Always nice seeing Chazz get his just deserts. Hurry up and win alright. A comedy routine get's old fast you know.' he thought.
Chazz: 8000 - 6000 LP
Zaloog chuckled. "And there's more too. For you see, Chazz, now our effects go into effect against."
"Say what!?"
"One monster on your field returns to the top of your deck!" Gorg explained as Luster Dragon disappeared.
"And then next, a card on your field returns to your hand." Chick pitched as oneof Chazz's facedown cards went back to his hand.
"There's more." Cliff spoke up. "The top two cards of your deck? They go to the graveyard." Chazz growled as he was forced to mill his deck. Sending Luster Dragon and Armed Dragon LV10.
"One card in your hand, you must discard at random." Zaloog added, forcing Chazz to get rid of one of his card. Which the card sent was Call of the Haunted.
"And finally, a card with 'Dark Scorprion' in it's name can be added to our hand from the graveyard." Meanae said as Don Zaloog picked the trap card he used a moment.
"And I'll pick this, Dark Scorpion Combination. The card that started it all. And will be used again! I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Zaloog ends his turn.
Hand 0
Red Hat scoffed at that. 'Unless Chazz is a complete moron. You're not pulling it off again.'
"That all you got? It's my turn I draw!" Chazz draws.
Hand 7
"It's my standby phase, so Armed Dragon LV3 becomes Armed Dragon LV5! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1700)" The smaller dragon trnasformed into it's bigger form. "Now I play the spell card Lightning Vortex! By discarding a card, I can destroy all face up monsters you control! Bye bye losers!" Chazz discards Level Up and soon a vortex of pure lightning was about to hit all of the Dark Scorpions.
"Not so fast! Go trap card, Dark Scorpion Retreat! With this card if all of us are on the field, we return to my hand!" Ans so, Zaloog and his comrades ran off the field dodging the lightning.
Red Hat raised an eye brow at this display. 'That trap is never going of in an competent duel. Chazz... if you have Lightning Vortex, why even play Armed Dragons anyway. Cause style points mean, you have to stretch really hard to justify it.'
Chazz was staring at a short moment before moving on. "Fine then, Battle! Armed Drago LV5 attack him directly, with Inferno Roar!" Armed Dragon LV5 let out a roar as blades of red energy shut out from it's body and slammed into Zaloog, blasting him, but he kept a strong stance.
Zaloog: 6800 - 4400 LP
"Oh no, boss!" chick and Gorg cried out.
"The boss made his own body as a shield for us." stated Cliff worryingly.
"You'll pay for this, mark my words!" Meanae swore.
"Like I'll let you. I end my turn." Chazz end his turn.
Hand 5
"Before you do I activate the continous Trap, Blind Destruction. You'll find out what it does soon." Zaloog stated.
"Just make your move." Chazz said.
"Time to keep up the presure. My turn, I draw!" Zaloog draws.
Hand 6
"It's my standby phase so my trap activates!" A dice materialized spining around. "Blind Destruction effect, I roll a six sided dice. Depending on what it lands, All monsters of that level that match the number of the dice are all destroyed. If it lands on a six then all level 6 or higher monsters are destroyed. Roll now!" The dice fell onto the floor and rolled and it landed on... 6
"Heh, tough luck. Armed Dragon LV5 isn't level 6 or higher so he get's to stay." Chazz smirked at him.
'Also that card destroys all monsters including your own. It's a chance and worse version of Dark Hole.' thought Red Hat.
"Argh! I play Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 cards!" Zaloog draws his cards and smiles. "First I summon myseld Don Zaloog again! (Atk: 1400 Def: 1500)" Zaloog moved onto the field again. "Then I'll play, another Mustering of the Dark Scorpions! Welcome back, team!" That earned him some cheers from them.
"Not so fast!" Chazz interrupted and revealed his facedown. "Go trap! Ojama Trio!"
Before the other Dark Scorpions could be summoned, Ojama Yellow, Green and Black crowed the field. Black was doing some pushups, Green was picking his nose, and Yellow was drinking some kind of hot drink. (Atk: 0 Def: 1000 X3) "These guys didn't leave room for us!"
"Ojama Trio summons Ojama Tokens to my opponents side of the field... and when an Ojama Token is destroyed you take 300 burn damage. You also can't tribute them for any tribute summon." Chazz explained with a smug look.
Zaloog growled at him before glaring at those tokens.
"Sorry pal." Black apologized while doing sit-ups.
"And its yer garden too..." Green said still picking his nose.
"And we completely butted in!" Yellow said.
"So we can't come out? No fair!" Chick protested.
"In that case, Boss send me out!" Meanae said before stepped forward, right next to Zaloog. (Atk: 1000 Def: 1800)
"Meanae... I'll never forget you for this. Your life's in good hands." He said solemnly before playing his next card. "I play the spell card Dark Scorpion - Tragedy of Love! When Don Zaloog and Meanae the Thorn are on the field, by sending Meanae the Thorn to the graveyard, I can destroy all of your monsters!"
Meanae lept high in the air and let out a battle cry as she lashed out her whip, wrapping it around the Armed Dragon's neck, and then, an electrical current coursed through, blowing up the monster. The explosion send Meanae flying. "The rest is up to you, my boss!"
Zaloog gritted his teeth as he saw her flying, before turning back to his opponent. "I'll avenge Meanae! Battle, I'll attack you directly! Double Blast Attack!" He pulled out his pistols and fired at Chazz.
Chazz: 6000 - 4600 LP
"Now, my effect activates! You have to discard one random card from your hand!"
A random card was sent to the gave and Chazz smirked. "Thanks for the help!" This confused Zaloog. "The card you mande me discard was Ojamagic! When this card is sent to the graveyard I can add Ojama Yellow, Black, and Green from my deck to my hand."
"Argh! I end my turn." Zaloog ends his turn.

"My turn, I draw!" Chazz draws
Hand 8
"I play the spell card Polymerization! With this I fuse the three Ojama brothers to create Ojama King! (Atk: 0 Def: 3000)"
Three duplicate Ojamas appeared before merging together "Ojama King!" A new voice cried out.
"So what? That thing has no attack points!" Zaloog pointed out.
"That will change soon. I play the spell Ojamandala! By paying 1000 LP I can special summon the three Ojama brothers back to my field from my graveyard! Return Ojama Yellow, Black and Green! (Atk: 0 Def: 1000 X3)" The three Ojamas return to the field. "Now I play this spell Ojamuscle! This destroys all Ojama monsters out except Ojama King."
After Chazz played his spell card, Ojama King strained for a second, turning his body into a muscular one. From a large six pack, to arms of huge muscles. He then eyed on the other Ojamas on the field. Ojamas! Come to daddy!" He then opened his mouth and used his big, fat tongue to scoop up the Ojamas on Chazz's field first before taking the Ojama Tokens, causing Don Zaloog to slightly freak out as he avoided it. Ojama King then pulled them into his mouth and swallowed them, making puffs of smoke pop around him.
For every Ojama that's destroyed... King gains 1000 attack points. Since those Ojama Tokens were destroyed you take 900 burn damage." Three puffs of smoke popped around Zaloog.
Zaloog: 4400 - 3500 LP
"And now, Kings attack points increase to 6000! (Atk: 0 - 6000 Def: 3000) Battle Ojama King! Attack Don Zaloog with Flying Belly Flop Drop!"
The muscular Ojama jumped high up in the air and flew over Zaloog. "INCOMING!" He shouted a moment right before he fell down like a rock and landed on top of Don Zaloog.
Zaloog: 3500 - 0 LP
Everyone cheers for Chazz's victory. Red Hat remained silent. 'What an extremely contrive combo. Least you won despite questionable plays.' he thought.
"Bye-Bye." Chazz simply said.
"No... this can't be... we can't lose... I'm sorry everyone." Zaloog muttered as he was dizzy and unable to get uo. And then, his golden eyepatch illuminated brightly while his comrades tried to rush over to him. They all disappeared in bursts of light, leaving several cards behind.
Chazz walked over to where his opponent was, and picked up what was left of him. The golden eyepatch, and the Don Zaloog card. "Well guys... guess that's one less Shadow Rider we have to worry about."
"Least that's over with already." said Red Hat.
"The spirit keys are back in safe hands." Banner stated, returning to his room.
"You'll have to head back to Crowlers room and give him his key Alexis."
Alexis sighed at this request. "Do I really have to?"
"Unless we want an ear full from him. I sugguest you do it." Red Hat scowled slightly. "Crowler wouldn't dare talk to an Obelisk Blue in such a way much less an Obelsik Blue girl."
"Uptight as usual. Fine, least Crowler won't have to come up with an excuse to give you all detention." stated Alexis as she took one of the spirit keys.
"Say Red Hat." Blair spoke up. "Earlier you said something about their effects. Do you have a history with those cards?"
Everyone turned and looked at Red Hat. Red Hat merly shrugged as he took back his spirit key. "It's a good time as any. Two of the Dark Scorpions were used a long time ago in specific decks. Don Zaloog was used in old Hand Control decks before the deck was outlawed. Chick the Yellow was used in a OTK combo with Call of the Haunted with Makyura the Destructor. That combo no longer possible as Makyura is permanently outlawed in offical tournaments."
Everyone sweat dropped as they listen to his tale. "And you know all this? Just how?" Alexis asked.
Red Hat just smirked as he was asked. "Meet the partners in crime which caused a various cards to be outlawed in offical Tournaments." Red Hat pulls out two cards. Those being Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End and Yata-Garasu.
Everyone was shocked when they saw the Chaos Dragon, not so much the small bird. "What the? Did you sold a kidney to get that card? Almost no copies of that card exist." said Chazz
Red Hat scoffed, but smirked. "Ha ha, very funny. This was a prize card many years ago. Very few of them exist these days. As for this card." Red Hat shows them Yata-Garasu.
"What's so special about him?" asked Syrus.
"Hold on... I heard of that monster." answered Alexis. "Yata-Garasu was used in a very infamous empty hand loop. Because he exists, Duel Disks were programed to shut off if that card goes off once."
"And his partner in crime is Chaos Emperor Dragon. I'm one of those people that cause what's dubbed the Yata-Lock." added Red Hat. "For a short while, professional duelists and myself when I was slightly younger. Every deck was who can pull off the lock first. With or without Chaos Emperor Dragon. That combo is what caused Yata-Garasu, Chaos Emperor Dragom - Envoy of the End, Delinquent Duo, and The Forceful Sentry to be outlawed in all offical Tournaments. Makyura the Destructor was also outlawed cause used in many loops." Red Hat explained in detail.
Everyone sweat dropped at what they just see. "When I'm legitimately angry, I'll pull off this combo without mercy." Red Hat puts the cards back into his deck box. "I did make a promise never to use these cards, unless I'm forced to."
Red Hat leaves as he returns back to his room he turns to Jaden and gives a small smile. "Jaden, I'm still waiting for that duel when this is over."
Jaden smiles and does his signiture pose. "Hey, when that day comes. Get your game on!"
Red Hat chuckles at this. "Same to you Jaden, now let's get some rest." Red Hat and Blair return to their room. Soon everyone else does too. A familar sirit smiles as it watches over Red Hat and leaves them in peace for now.
A/N: The cards Dark Scorpion Retreat, Tragedy of Love are in Tag Force. This also applies to Ojamandala, also exists in Tag Force. Besides jokes, there wasn't much to add. Originally I was gonna be like Tag Force where Chazz loses and Jaden and Red Hat save him, but that creates a slight issue. In Tag Force 1 the duel with him and Don Zaloog. Chazz plays pure Ojamas. And since Pure Ojamas will just bore me and my readers just slightly changed from the anime. Many roast cause so many cards are bad. Dark Scorpion Combination is notorious for being terrible. More stuff from Red Hat loosly based on the older meta. Don Zaloog saw play in Hand Control, once Hand Control was over, so did any play of Don Zaloog. Chick the Yellow was an OCG only OTK with Makyura and Call of the Haunted. Yata-Garasu, many don't really understand how notorious Yata was way back in the day and the impact he left. It's why I keep telling people the anime has no clear standard, even if you keep their themes the same. Thats enough for this, next time for an actual remix of Abidos duel. See you next time.
