Legacy of the Worthless
A/N: If you can guess where I got the title from. Congrats you get a cookie (Not really but do guess lol). This is a remix based on Tag Force 1 and the anime. Changes were made to make the following duels more interesting. Hope this meets up to standards.
Late at night, in a large, dark scrypt, torches were lit by a number of strange figures wearing painted masks and robes. All of them gathered around a platform, and on top of that platform was a large sarcophagus. Two of the figures grabbed hold of the lid and pulled it away.
Inside the sarcophagus, lay a pharaoh dressed in blue and gold, holding staffs, adorned in resplendent jewelry and waering a golden mask. The paraoh rose up from the sarcophagus as the robed people knelt down at his presence.
"Who awoke me from my slumber?" He demanded.
A ball of shining light appeared high above, from which came a voice. "To fulfill your duty to the shadows."
The millennium symbol on the pharaoh's mark glowed brightly before he stepped out of his sarcophagus and stood tall above his servants. "Read my vessel!"
Monday
Time 11pm
Another day at Duel Academy, another class. Today, they were listening to Banner, who was talking about famous duelist. He even sketched pictures of two certain duelist. "Yugi Moto and Seto Kaiba... You are all aware that they are the legendary chosen two of their generation."
"What are those drawings?" A guy said.
"Are they supposed to be humans?" A girl asked.
"Well, maybe there's just a style to it." A guy said.
"There were also duelist wh left legends behind in Ancient Egypt, as a matter of fact." Banner continued his lecture.
"Ancient Egypt? Was dueling around that long ago?" Jaden asked?
Red Hat was listening to this carefully. 'Really? I just thought it was a simple game made over a decade. So in that time period too? Just not the same way we do.' he thought.
"In Ancient Egypt, there weren't cards yet, so they dueled using stone tablets." explained Syrus.
Red Hat frowned at this. 'If you know this and you can listen to such a class. Why is it you tend to fail at the most basic dueling techniques?'
"That's right." Banner nodded. "This was the boy king who left a legend of being undefeated in his lifetime. A powerful pharaoh named Abidos III." He showed everyone another sketch. It was one of a youg man in robes and a headdress with a mask.
"Undefeated in his lifetime? So you mean... he didn't lose once?" Jaden commented. "That's awesome! I've wanted to try dueling that undefeated legend!"
Chazz smirked at his words. "Hmph! It's obvious your life points would become zero on his first turn, at most though."
"Don't sweat it, don't sweat it!" Jaden turned to Chazz with a smile on his face. "After all, I'll be sure to get your revenge for you."
Chazz was now getting annoyed by Jaden's obliviousness. "I'm talking about you! You!"
"Still, you know, wouldn't you do really well, even if your opponent was undefeated?"
Chazz snapped and grabbed Jaden in a headlock. "Didn't I just say I was talking about you?!"
"We're in the middle of class you two." Syrus said worriedly.
"Don't these ears of your listen to what people tell you?!" Chazz asked before puling Jaden's ears, causing him to yelp in pain.
Red Hat then smirked. "Chazz, you're nothing more a losing chump. May I remind you, I took you down with an FTK deck."
Chazz let go'd of Jaden and turned to Red Hat. "Why you! You still bring that up! I know you set that up to humiliate me!"
"And I enjoy, you humiliating yourself in the proccess." Red Hat mocked, causing Chazz to fume in anger.
"I'm telling you, if you don't quiet down..." Syrus said before being interrupted.
"Exactly..." All four of them went silent and turned to Banner, who spoke up. "You three can continue... in detention. This means you Jaden, Chazz and Red Hat."
Red Hat scowled, but remained quiet. 'Blair, head to the dorm as soon as class ends.' He whispered into her ear.
Blair shook her head as he told her. 'Sometimes I feel like you love picking fights with him.' she thought and nodded at Red Hat.
Time 4pm
Once it was over, the students left the classroom, except for Jaden, Red Hat and Chazz who got detention. Blair ran off to head back to the Slifer Red dorm. Syrus, meanwhile walks alone... away from the main academy.
"Those three really like to cause trouble don't they." said Syrus to no one. "Hope they are doing alright. I'm worried about Jaden."
Suddenly, the ground shook a little. Spider-web cracks appeared in the ground, from which several mummies rose up. They soon ganged up on Syrus, which he then screamed for help.
"Mummies!" Syrus exclaimed.
The mummies then surrounded and captured Syrus. The mummies covered his mouth to prevent him from screaming for help. A bright light then shined onto Syrus as it became brighter and brighter. soon, Syruss vision went white, and he lost consciousness...
Eventually, Syrus slowly opened his eyes and found himself lying on a golden floor. "What happened?" Syrus muttered. Syrus then looked around, only to see he was no longer at Duel Academy, but in a... golden ship? "W-w-wait! Where am I?!"
A sound rang across the entire ship. The sound resembled a traditional gong. Syus turned to a heightened platform in the center of the ship. Syurs then approached it's edge and looked up, seeing Edyptian guards and soldiers surrounding it. At the other end of the platform, they saw someone sitting on a golden throne. The figure appeared to be an egyptian pharaoh wearing a golden mask. Syrus legs started shaking as he saw all of this, frighten that he was all alone at this place.
"Hello there..." The masked man called out.
"W-w-what is this place?" asked Syrus, his legs still shaking.
"You're on my personal vessel." The masked man answered calmly and stepped forward. "I'm an Egyptian pharaoh."
"Egyptian pharaoh?" Syrus repeated, surprised.
"I'm known as Abidos the Third." The masked man introduced himself.
"Abidos?" Syrus then remembered what he learned in Banner's class. "Wait you're that undefeated Egyptian pharaoh!"
"That is correct youngster." said Abidos. "I wanted the key keepers, but you'll work wonderfully as bait."
Syrus then came to the realization at what he meant. "Bait! You mean... you plan to use me, to lure in the others!?"
"You will also asist me in taking down those key keepers." Abidos' guards then surrounded Syrus, causing him panic. "Unless you can defeat me in a duel. I can not let you go, and I'm not going to give you a choice."
Syrus was now trembling in fear. Should he duel him? He's all alone with no one to call for help. There's no other way for him to run and hide, not with so many guards. Syrus then had a thought. What if he beats him? He could gain a lot of praise from the others! Syrus then had a smile on his face if such a thught comes true.
"Alright I accept your challenge!" Syrus declared as he readied his duel disk... he somehow got.
"Very well, come onto the platform so we can begin." Abidos stated, as he readied his duel disk that was made of gold, encrusted with jewels and a large scarab sitting on top.

"I'll start this duel. My turn, I draw." Abidos draws.
Hand 6
"First off, I summon Pryamid Turtle in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1400)" A Pyramid like turtle appeared. "I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Abidos ends his turn.

"My turn, I draw!" Syrus draws.
Hand 6
"Before you start, I play the continous trap The First Sarcophagus!" Abidos annouced as the trap was revealed, but seemingly did nothing.
"What does it do? I never heard of that card." Syrus asked.

"Okay, I summon Steamroid in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 Def: 1800)" A train like machine appeared on the field. "Battle, Steamroid attack his Pyramid Turtle! Steamroid's effect, when he attacks, he gains 500 attack points during battle! (Atk: 1800 - 2300 Def: 1800)" Steamroid charged at Pyramid Turtle and destroys it.
Abidos: 8000 - 6900 LP
"Pyramid Turtle's effect, when he's destroyed in battle I'm allowed to special summon a Zombie with 2000 or less defense from my deck! I chose to bring out Giant Axe Mummy in defence mode! (Atk: 1700 Def: 2000)" A giant and wide mummy appeared on the field.
"I set one card facedown and end my turn." Syrus ends his turn.
Hand 4
"Since it's your end phase. I get to play the spell The Second Sarcophagus from my deck onto the field!" A sell card appeared.
"What does it do?" Syrus asked.
"Once the third one is played, this duel will be mine!" Abidos declared.
"I don't like the sound of that." said Syrus.
"As you shouldn't. My turn, I draw!" Abidos draws.
Hand 4
"I play the spell Pot of Greed. So I draw 2 cards." Abidos draws his cards. "I summon Pharaoh's Servant in attack mode! (Atk: 900 Def: 0)" A dark-skinned man appeared before Abidos, wearing a headdress, white mask, and skirt, and wielding a spear with a point at one end and a crescent blade at the other. "Now, go trap card, The League of Uniform Nomenclature! First I target a level 2 or lower normal monster. Then I can special summon as many monsters of that same name from my deck. I bring out two more Pharaoh's Servant (Atk: 900 Def: 0 X2)" Two more Pharaoh's Servant appear.
"Only 900 attack points?" Syrus wondered.
"Now I play the spell Thousand Energy! With this all level 2 or lower normal monsters gain 1000 attack until the end of this turn! (Atk: 900 - 1900 Def: 0 X3)" The three servants surrounding their pharaoh were powered by bright energy.
"Aw man, Not good!" Syrus moaned.
"Now I swtich Axe Mummy to attack mode. I play the quick play spell Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your facedown!" Powerful winds destroy Syrus' facedown. "Battle, Pharaoh's Servant attack his Steamroid!" One of the Pharaoh's Servant dashed forward and attacked the machine as it got weaker and stabbed it. (Atk: 1800 - 1300 Def: 1800)
Syrus: 8000 - 7400 LP
"Now I see, that thing gets weaker when I attack it. Now my other Pharaoh's Servant and Axe Mummy attack him directly!" The other two Pharaoh's Servant dashed and stabbed Syrus, while Axe Mummy launched a blast of sand at Syrus. Syrus cried out in pain at the onslaught.
Syrus: 7400 - 3600 - 1900 LP
"Now I active Axe Mummy effect, I can flip him to facedown defense position once per turn. I end my turn here. The negetive effect of Thousand Energy, it destroys all my monsters that were effected by it's effect." Abidos ends his turn, as the three Pharaoh's Servant were destroyed.
Hand 2
"It's my turn, I draw!" Syrus draws.
Hand 5
"I play the spell Pot of Greed, so I draw 2 cards." Syrus draws his cards and smiles. "I play the spell Polymerization! I fuse Gyroid and another Steamroid to create the Steamgyroid! (Atk: 2200 Def: 1600)" A grey machine shaped mostly like a steam train, but with helicopter blades around it's 'waist'. "Now I summon Drillroid in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 Def: 1600)" A cartoonish machine erupted from the ground. It had tracks and a drill on it's front, as well as on its arms. "Battle, Drillroid attack his facedown Axe Mummy! Drillroids effect, when he attacks a defense position monster, it's automaticalled destroyed without damage calculation!" Drillroid charged in and drilled through the mummy destroying it. "Steam Gyroid attack him directly! Train Twister!" Steam Gyroid rotated it's blades rapidly, creating a tornado funnerl that rose high into the air and curved around before slamming into Abidos.
Abidos: 6900 - 4700 LP
"How dare you attack me!" Abidos protested.
"Um... you know I can do that right?" Syrus looked at him confused. "I'll just set this facedown and end my turn." Syrus ends his turn.
Hand 2
"It's your end phase so now, I can activate The Third Sarcophagus from my deck!" Abidos' deck glowed as another spell card appeared between The First and Second Sarcophagus.
'Stay calm. If he attacks Steam Gyroid, I have a trap ready.' thought Syrus.
"Now that I have all three sarcophagus, I send all of three to the grave and special summon Spirit of the Pharaoh! (Atk: 2500 Def: 2000)" The three cards disappeared and were replaced by a large, golden sarcophagus. With creaks and groans, the sarcophagus slip open, letting the pharaoh step out from his slumber.
"Okay, so what does he do?" Syrus asked.
"When Spirit of the Pharaoh is summoned, I can special summon up to 4 level 2 or lower normal zombie types monsters from my graveyard. So return my 3 Pharaoh's Servant! (Atk: 900 Def: 0 X3)" As he explained this, the three Pharaoh's Servant reappeared onto the field.
"It's my turn, I draw!" Abidos draws.
Hand 3
"Now I play the spell Tribute to the Doom! By discarding one card, I can destroy on monster on the field. So I target your Steam Gyroid and destroy it!" A whirling pit of sand appeared underneath Steam Gyroid, followed by a pit of mummified hands that grabbed it and dragged it down.
"Oh no! Steam Gyroid!" Syrus exclaimed. 'Now my trap is useless.'
"It's all over for you. Battle, Spirit of the Pharaoh attack his Drillroid monster!" The tall pharaoh rushed forward and struck the machine with it's sword and destroyed it.
Syrus: 1900 - 1000 LP
"This duel is mine. Go my two Pharaoh's Servant, attack him directly!" Both Pharaoh's Servant dashed forward and struck Syrus directly depleting his LP to zero. Syrus screamed in pain by the assualt.
Syrus: 1000 - 100 - 0 LP
Syurs drops to his hands and knees. Abidos then approached him. "Victory is mine."
Syrus lifts his head to look at him. "What do you plan on doing to me?"
"Simple actually, you'll become my humble servent. You'll do as you are told. You'll help me on my quest to collect the spirit keys." Abidos explained, as his shadow charmed glowed bright.
Syus eyes widen as he lost consciousness, as he was struct with shadow magic. Syrus then stood up and stood next to Abidos. "I'm here to serve you my king." Syrus bowed.
"Excellent choice my humble servant." Abidos said. Soon his vessel took off and headed for Duel Academy.
Time 7pm
Alexis was standing by the lighthouse. As she was looking out the sea, Zane walked onto the dock until he stood right next to her. Both have remained silent for bit, before Alexis spoke up. "My brother... He's been absent-minded for a while." Zane merly nodded in response. "He won't talk to me about what hapened to him... I can't even watch over whatever's going on in my brother's body. I want to help my brother out, too..."
"There isn't a night that won't end." Zane replied. Alexis turned to face him. "You told me that, didn't you?"
"Yeah, thanks." Alexis said.
Suddenly the ground shook a little. Then, sider-web cracks appeared in the concrete, from which several mummies rose up. Alexis gasped in horror. Zane stepped between the mummies and Alexis.
"Not good." Zane muttered.
"Another day in detention." said Red Hat, clearly unamussed as he, Jaden and Chazz were heading back to their dorm. "Wish I could sleep in my bed then stay and clean up."
"Well, it was Chazz's fault." Jaden cracked.
Chazz was of course angered by that comment and grabbed Jaden in another headlock. "It was you!" Chazz then looks to Red Hat's direction. "And it's also your fault!"
"Shut your trap cream puff. All you care about is one uping anyone, just so you can look good." Red Hat scowled. Soon the trio head a panicked scream and stoped what they were doing.
"What was that!?" Jaden wondered as they all ran to the edge of the path and looked in the direction the scream came from. They looked over on the docks, where Zane and Alexis were surrounded by mummies. "Zane!"
"Alexis!" Chazz called out.
"Zane!" Red Hat exclaimed, as the trio began to run towards their friends.
"No stay there! Save yourselves!" Zane exclaimed.
As the trio kept on running, more mummies that erupted from the ground. "Those who... hold the keys..." One of the mummies murmured.
"My key?" Jaden said in surprised.
"Shadow Riders?" Chazz asked.
"Why am I not surprised." said Red Hat. 'I hope Blair is okay.'
A bright light then broke through clouds as something descended from the sky. It looked like a strange boat, with a glass dome on top and a body structure made entirely of gold. As it came down, it began to shine brightly, making everyone cover their eyes. It then became so bright that everyone's vision went white, and lost consciousness.
Eventually, Jaden and Red Hat slowly opened their eyes and found themselves lying on a golden floor. "You two are awake?" Zane asked. Jaden and Red Hat turned around and noticed Chazz, Alexis, Zane, Blair and Banner sitting nearby.
"You guys!" Jaden notices Banner. "Huh? You too, professor?"
"Blair!" Red Hat got close to her. "How did you get here?"
"Blair and I were brought against our will by mummies, right when we were about to eat dinner." Banner explained.
"So, everyone who holds or used to hold a key is here." said Zane.
"That doesn't make any sense. Why bring Banner and Blair as well, and why isn't Crowler here?" asked Red Hat confused.

The pharoh looked at them all. This caused Banner to yell in shock and fear, as he fell down on his back and fainted.
"Seriously Professor?" Red Hat sweat dropped at this.
"Leave him alone. He wouldn't be of any help to us anyway." Chazz commented as Pharaoh the cat poked at his master.
The masked pharaoh stood up from his throne. Jaden and Red Hat got on the platform to confront him. "What are you?" Jaden asked.
"My name is Abidos the Third. I'm one of the seven shadow riders." The masked pharaoh answered calmly and stepped forward.
"Abidos the Thrid?" Red Hat repeated.
"The legendary guy who they say hasn't lost once." Chazz said.
"...In his lifetime?" Alexis said.
"You will give me the three keys you all possess." Abidos demanded.
"Is he telling us we'll be battling the undefeated duelist?" Alexis asked.
"Is he trying to obtain the remaining keys in one shot, despite missing Crowler?" Zane wondered.
"He must not be in a hurry if he doesn't view Crowler as a threat." Chazz added.
"If you want to leave the keys and run, now is your chance." Abidos warned them. "Now what will it be?"
"Yeah! I'll do it!" Jaden exclaimed.
Red Hat chuckled at Jaden's enthusiasm. "If Jaden wants to duel, then so will I!"
"When he's with Jaden, it's like he's a completely different person." Chazz muttered.
"That's cause Jaden is actually cool. Unlike you." Blair teased, as she sticked her tongue at him.
This annoyed Chazz further. "Why you! I'll clober you."
"Chazz, lay a finger on him and you'll be sorry." Red Hat warned with a cold voice. This cause Chazz to back off and move away from Blair. Chazz muttered under his breath.
"I was hoping I could duel once with you!" Jaden said.
"How rude, he's facing the pharaoh." One of the guards said.
"Don't be concerned." Abidos replied.
"Jaden, you realize this will be a shadow game." Zane said.
"Besides, you're opponent is undefeated." Alexis added.
"I know. Still, this exciting feeling just won't stop!" Jaden replied firmly.
"Jaden, with you and I together. This should be a piece of cake!" Red Hat lightly laughed. "Together we're more powerful then ever!"
"Heck yeah we are!" agreed Jaden, which the others except Blair, who cheered them on, sweat dropped at their antics.
"It seems you both have nothing to be scared of. Very well, it's time my humble servant makes his appearance." Abidos snapped his fingers. Soon the guards stepped aside, and everyone was in shock at what they saw. Syrus was on Abidos' side.
"Syrus!" Zane and Jaden called out.
"I'm here to helpout master Abidos. This means I'll help him out to take you key keepers down!" The possessed Syrus declard as he readied his duel disk.
"Oh great, this guy possessed him. So now we have to free Syrus." Chazz points out.
"Don't bother talking to him. He's my humble servant. If you want to free him, you'll have to defeat us." Abidos stated, as he readied his duel disk.
"I'm freeing my friend here and now! Get your game on Abidos!" exclaims Jaden, as he and Red Hat readied their duel disks.

"I'll start. My turn, I draw!" Abidos draws.
Hand 6
"I summon Pyramid Turtle in attack mode! (Atk: 1200 Def: 1400)" Pyramid Turtle appears on the field. "Then I set one card facedown. That ends my turn." Abidos ends his turn.
Hand 4
"Alright. My turn, I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 6
"Before you start, I play the continous trap The First Sarcophagus!" Abidos annouced as the trap was revealed, but seemingly did nothing.
"Huh? That card I haven't seen before... Does first mean there's a second and third one?" Jaden asked.
'I seen that card, but never bothered looking into it. Once I took a look at it... yeah not hapeing. It's way to slow.' Red Hat thought.
"Indeed. At the end phase of each of my opponent's turns, the Second Sarcophagus and the Third Sarcophagus will appear, one by one, on the field." Abidos explained. "When all three sarcophagi are together, the cursed door will open, engulfing you with dispair and darkess."
"A card that gathers three? Sounds fun!" said Jaden, oblivious to what's going on. "Still, your majesty, don't you get stiff shoulders from dueling all restrained like that?"
"A foolish thing to ask..." muttered Abidos.
"Ah well, in that case let's continue my turn." stated Jaden as he continued his turn. "I summon Elemental HERO Wildheart in attack mode! (Atk: 1500 Def: 1600)" Wildheart appears on the field. "Battle, Wildheart attack his Pyramid Turtle! Wild Slash!" Wildheart charges and slashes the turtle, destroying it.
Abidos & Syrus: 8000 - 7700 LP
"Pyramid Turtle's effect, I can special summon a zombie monster with at least 2000 or less defense from my deck. So come out Axe Mummy! (Atk: 1700 Def: 2000)" The oversized mummy appears.
"Oh well, I set a facedown and end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.
Hand 4
"My turn, I draw!" Syrus draws.
Hand 6
"I play Card Destruction! We discard our hand and then we redraw a new hand." Syrus explained as he and Jaden discarded their hands and redrew. "Now I summon Steamroid in attack mode! (Atk: 1800 Def: 1800)" The cartoony train monster appears. "Battle, Steamroid attack Jaden's Wildheart! Streamroid gains 500 attack when it attacks! (Atk: 1800 - 2300 Def: 1800)" Steamrois charges forward and slams Wildheart.
Jaden & Red Hat: 8000 - 7200 LP
"Go trap HERO Signal! Since you destroyed Wildheart in battle I can secial summon a level 4 or lower Elemental HERO from my deck. So come out Elemental HERO Clayman in defense mode! (Atk: 800 Def: 2000)" Clayman appears on Jaden's field.
"Since I can't attack, I set one card facedown and end my turn." Syrus ends his turn.
Hand 3
"My turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.
Hand 6
'Huh, Aussa? So you want to come out and play huh?' Red Hat thought as he continued his turn. "I play the spell Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 cards." Red Hat drew his cards. "I set a monster and and I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.
Hand 4
"The First Sarcophagus activates so the third one can appear." Syrus points out, as a card slid from his deck. "I'm helping master Abidos here. So I'll place the Third Sarcophagus on the field." The card appears on the field.
'It's still painfully slow. What are they even summoning anyway?' though Red Hat.
"I send all three cards to the graveyard to special summon Spirit of the Pharaoh in attack mode! (Atk: 2500 Def: 2000)" The three cards disappeared and were replaced by a large, golden sarcophagus. With creaks and groans, the sarcophagus slip open, letting the pharaoh step out from his slumber.
"Huh? Only 2500 attack points? What's the deal? With all the time and effort you spent, it's pretty common don't you think?" Jaden commented.
"That's an understatement Jaden." Red Hat added.
Abidos then removes his mask. "When Spirit of the Pharaoh is summoned, I can special summon up to 4 level 2 or lower normal zombie type monsters from the graveyard. Thanks to my humble servant I can do just that. Appear Pharaoh's Servant and Pharaonic Protector! (Atk: 900 Def:0) (Atk: 900 Def: 0)" Both monsters appeared onto the field. Red Hat was unammused by this display.
'Three turns of waiting, which falls apart to a Giant Truenade. A monster with Summon Skull attack stats. To top it all off, an effect which is so laughable pathetic. This is considered a boss monser? What a joke. Was better off not knowing it exist.' Red Hat mentally dead panned in distain.
"The preperations complete. My turn, I draw!" Abidos draws.
Hand 5
"Go Trap card! Threatening Roar! With this, you can not conduct your battle phase!" explained Red Hat as his trap was revieled.
"Stalling are you? Are you even trying? I set two cards facedown and use Axe Mummy effect to switch it to facedown defense position. That ends my turn." Abidos ends his turn.
Hand 3
"My turn, I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 5
"I play the spell The Warrior Returning Alive! With I add back Elemental HERO Wildheart back to my hand. I discard the monster King of the Swamp! Now I'm allowed to add Polymerization from my deck to my hand. Now I play Polymerization! I fuse Elemental HERO Wildheart and Elemental HERO Bladedge! To fusion summon, Elemental HERO Wildedge! (Atk: 2600 Def: 2300)" Wildedge appeared onto the field.
"Go continuous Trap! Human Wave Tactics!" Abidos announced as the trap was revealed. "When you destroy level 2 or lower normal monsters in battle I can special summon the same amount of level 2 or lower normal monsters from my deck."
"You'll need it, cause Wildedge can attack all your monsters once each! Sweet huh?" Jaden said.
"Wait that means..." Abidos said in shock.
"Say good bye to all your monsters. Wildedge destroy all his monsters! And since he's attacking Steamroid, his attack is reduced by 500. (Atk: 1800 - 1300 Def: 1800)" Wildedge charges in, slashing and slicing all monsters on the field one by one. Destroying each of them
Abidos & Syrus: 7700 - 2900 LP
"I'll set a facedown and end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.
"Human Wave tactics atticate, now I special summon two level 2 or lower normal monsters. I special summon another Pharaoh's Servant and Paraonic Protector in defense mode! (Atk: 900 Def: 0) (Atk: 900 Def: 0)" Another Pharaoh's Servant and Pharaonic Protector appear on Abidos field.

"My turn I draw!" Syrus draws.
Hand 4
"I play the spell Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 cards." Syrus draws his cards. "Now I play Power Bond!" This play shocked Jaden and Zane. "I fuse Gyroid and Steamroid to fusion summon, Steamgyroid! (Atk: 2200 Def: 1600)" The cartoony train machine appeared. "Now thanks to Power Bond, Steam Gyroid attack is now doubled! (Atk: 2200 - 4400 Def: 1600) Now I play the spell Monster Reborn and take Elemental HERO Bladedge from the graveyard! (Atk: 2600 Def: 1800)" The card was ejected from Jaden's graveyard and soon apeared on Syrus side. "Battle! Steam Gyroid attack Elemental HERO Wildedge with Train Twister!" As Steam Gyroid began it's attack. "Go quickplay Limiter Removal! Now Steam Gyroid attack is doubled! (Atk: 4400 - 8800 Def: 1600)" Steam Gyroid got bigger and slammed into Wildedge.
Jaden & Red Hat: 7200 - 1000 LP
"Now Bladedge, attack Elemental HERO Clayman!" Bladedge charges forward and pierces Clayman, destroying him and causing damage.
Jaden & Red Hat: 1000 - 400 LP
"Aww yeah! Almost game! I'll eat you both and make master Abidos proud!" Syrus said with glee.
"Steam Gyroid will be destroyed during your end phase. Don't forget Power Bond comes with a price. You'll take damage equal to Steam Gyroid's attack points." explain Red Hat with a smug look. 'If you attacked my facedown you'd have game. And even then, you'd think I'll let you attack it.'
"Not with this card master Abidos was kind enough to give me. Go trap card, Pikeru Circle of Enchantment! Now all effect damage becomes zero. So I'm safe from Power Bond's effect damage. I end my turn. Steam Gyroid is destroyed." Syrus ends his turn as Steam Gyroid blew up.
Hand 0
"Enough messing around. My turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.
Hand 5
"I flip summon my monster, appear Aussa the Earth Charmer! (Atk: 500 Def: 1500)" The young earth charmer appeared on the field. This caused everyone to have questionable looks on their faces.
"Wait? Why would Red Hat play her?" asked Alexis.
"Yeah, I thought cards like her are beneath him." added Chazz.
"You'll find out why." Blair said. Zane remained quiet through out all this, observing the duel.
"Aussa's flip effect I can take control of an earth monster. Bladedge just happens to be earth. Aussa make Bladedge come to us!" Aussa began chanting as her staff glowed a brown aura. Soon Bladedge came to Red Hat's field. "Time for something else. I send Bladedge and Aussa to the graveyard to special summon from the deck Familiar Possessed - Aussa! (Atk: 1850 Def: 1500)" Both monsters vanish and soon an older version of Aussa appears on the field and a more menecing looking familiar next to her.
"But why summon her? You don't can't damage me and I have two monsters out." Syrus ponits out.
"Familiar Possessed - Aussa effect, if she was summoned by Aussa the Earth Charmer's effect, she gains the effect to do piercing damage. Who said I was done? Jaden do you mind if I banish some monsters?" said Red Hat.
"Hey, whats mine is yours in a duel." stated Jaden. "Just win this duel and give it everything you got!"
"Very well. I banish Elemental HERO Necroshade and Sparkman from Jaden's graveyard. I special summon, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" Said cards were ejected from Jaden's graveyard. As he placed them in his back pocket, the Chaos warrior appeared on the field.
"A Chaos monster? Impossible!" Abidos cried out.
"Red Hat's best monster!" Blair cheered.
"Now I summon Breaker the Magical Warrior in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 Def: 1000) When he's normal summoned he gains a spell counter and boost his attack by 300! (Atk: 1600 - 1900 Def: 1000)" Breaker's sword glowed bright blue.
"Big mistake! I'll use master's facedown card! Go trap card, Torrential Tribute! This card now destroys all monsters on the field! So there's goes your plan!" Syrus states as a blast of colorful lightning appeared.
"I don't think so! Go couter trap, Solemn Judgement! By paying half our LP This negates your trap card and destroys it!" A holy man appears on the field and uses his own lightning strike to repel the colorful blast coming ahead. "Sweet huh? Red Hat advised me to keep it. Good thing I did."
Jaden & Red Hat: 400 - 200 LP
"No! That means we..."
"You lose! Black Luster Soldier attack Pharaonic Protector! Chaos Slash!" The chaos soldier slashes it and destroying it. "It's effect, he can attack again if he destroys a monster in battle. Attack again, this time Pharaoh's servant!" Chaos soldier attacks again, this time destroying Pharaoh's Servant. "Breaker the Magical Warrior attack Syrus directly!" Breaker charges in and attacks Syrus. Syrus sreams in pain at the assault.
Abidos & Syrus: 2900 - 1000 LP
"Familiar Possessed - Aussa, finish them off! Earth Power Blast!" Aussa does a chant as her staff glows. A sphere of earth magic began growing and gowing. Soon she launched it at Abidos and Syrus, causing an explosion. Depleteing their LP.
Abidos & Syrus: 1000 - 0 LP
"That's game!" said Jaden while doing his signiture pose. "If this wasn't a shadow duel this would have been a fun duel." Jaden then walked up to Abidos. "Hey, are you alright, your majesty?"
"Want to know why I became a Shadow Rider?" replied Abidos as he got up. "Once was enough... I wanted to try having a duel like this with a strong duelist of your caliber."
"It was fun, wasn't it?"
"Certainly... Before I wasn't satsifyed with my wins. It always felt like something was missing. Not being taken seriously." Abidos looked around. "But thanks to you two. I had a serious match."
'I was holding back. Mainly to not just thrash Syrus out of the duel. I'd rather humilate him myself.' thought Red Hat as he pick up Syrus and placed him next to the others, where he was beginning to stir.
"I was thinking now..." Abidos then grabed Jaden's hand. "Won't you come with me as well?"
"Huh?" Jaden widened his eyes. Everyone was, except Red Hatwas as surprised as him. Both Academy and the pharaoh's servants.
"I mean, it would be profane to let such an enjoyable duel end with just one go! So how about it?"
"Even if you ask me how I feel about it..." said Jaden.
Red Hat held Chazz by his neck to prevent him from talking. "Open that mouth of yours and I will thrash you hard, you worthless prick."
"Get off me!" Chazz yelled.
"W-Well, would you wait a hundred years or so? If you do, I'll take you on as much as you want." Jaden suggested.
"Well, when compare to 3000 years, it'll be a blink of time. All right." Abidos nodded.
Moments later,everyone was back on the ground and watched the golden airship flying up into the sky. "I'll be waiting!" Abidos called out before disappearing in a flash of light.
Time 8pm
After that, they headed back home. With Chazz begrudgingly carrying Syrus on his back. "Why do I have to carry him back?"
"After the stunts you pulled, serves you right Chazz." Red Hat retorted.
"Why you little..." Chazz muttered under his breath.
"That reminds me..." Alexis spoke up. "Red Hat, since when did yu have those cards in your deck?"
"What do you mean?" Red Hat asked.
"Don't play ignorant with me mister. I'm talking about the two Aussa cards you played eariler." Alexis reminded him.
"Oh those two cards?" Blair spoke up. "Well, you see. A few days ago, I took a look at Red Hat's deck out of curiosity." Blair then began giggling. "I found those two cards in his deck. He keeps saying how he has no idea how they got in his deck. He keeps denying he has a soft spot for those two cards."
Red Hat then turned to where Blair and Alexis were. "H-Hey, I thought I told you that I didn't place those in my deck."
"Then why did you play them?" Alexis asked with a grin. "It's almost like you have a secret you don't want to tell us."
"I have no reason to tell you." said Red Hat, as he walked away.
"Come on Red Hat, there's nothing wrong with playing them." commented Blair, as she followe him. "You need to lighten up."
"If it makes you feel any better, I play Elemental HERO Burstinatrix a girl card in my deck Red Hat." said Jaden.
Red Hat dead panned at that comment. "I don't think you get the point Jaden." Red Hat sighed as the trio walked off as Chazz long left to take Syrus to his room.
Unbeknownst to the gang, Professor Banner was watching from a hill not far off. "Your fates will soon come to pass." Banner took out a very paticular iten and gave it to Pharaoh the cat. "Red Hat, this will be your biggest change of you're life yet. You just don't know it yet." Banner let Pharaoh the cat go as it walked off with the item in it's mouth.
Time 11pm
Late at night, as Zane was staring at the ceiling in his room. Thinking about how things have been going these days. One thing in paticular had Zane curious. 'Red Hat is interesting. There are times he very reckless and very friendly when around Jaden, Alexis and I, Bastion and that boy Blair. Other times he has an attitude, and takes things too seriously.'
Soon the Pharaoh the cat came to his room and left an item, before leaving Zane's room via his window. 'Banner's cat?' Zane picked up the item. As he took a look at it. It appeared to be a girls hair clip. 'That's strange. No girl at this academy wears this. Something isn't right here.' Zane then came to the realization. He hope that wasn't the case. 'Just what are you hiding Red Hat.' Zane took the item and placed it on his drawer. Zane layed down on his bed and continued to think about things.
A/N: The dialoge from Abidos is based on Tag Force 1 and the sub. Spirit of the Pharaoh was printed in Ancient Sanctuary in 2004. It was already a terrible card back then, and is an irrelevant mess when it aired in the anime. Vehicroids are one of the worst archetpyes ever made. It amazes me Syrus wins anything with that crappy archetype. One of the reasons the title is called Legacy of the Worthless. The jokes with Red Hat are there for obvious reasons. Next time...
