Rise of the Sacred Beasts
Just a few moments, the entire island went through what seemed to be an earthquake. When all of a sudden, all activity of the island stopped. The former key keepers, plus friends, just stood there in place, wondering about this unexpected turn of events.
"What is that?" Jaden wondered.
Meanwhile, deep underground, the spirit gates glowed a bright light, followed by green beam of light brusting from the locks and up through the roof, shooting into the sky like some kind of light signal.
And then, the island started to shake again. In the dense forest, many trees were uprooted as 7 stone pillars shot through the ground, sending trees and huge chunks of dirt falling to the ground as they jutted upwards at different angles.
'So this is what Banner warned us about?' Red Hat thought.
At that moment, all spirit keys that wee hanging around Chazz's neck started to glow. "What the? The keys to the seven Spirit Gates, they're..." And then, the keys started to float. After that they dragged Chazz away.
"Where are you going, Chazz?" Alexis wondered.
"I don't know!" Chazz passed by Jaden, Red Hat and a few others as he was dragged into the forest.
"Chazz, something wrong?" Jaden asked.
"HELP MEEE!" Chazz cried out as all the others ran after him.
They ran deeper and deeper in the forest, with the keys leading them (mostly Chazz) to the very location where the seven pillers were. At the center of the place of the seven pillers, a large chunk of the ground suddenly opened up. Soon after, the keys started to lift themselves upwards, unintentionally dragging Chazz along with him.
"Just hold on!" Jaden called out.
"Well, what do you think I-gah!" Before Chazz could finish his sentence, he crashed into a tree branch and fell to the ground, letting the spirit keys fly out of his grasp and towards the 7 pillars.
The gang stopped near Chazz and looked up to see the keys disappearing into the pillars, one by one. "The keys! They're being absorbed into the fpillars!" Zane said.
"Not good." Red Hat muttered.
"The keys... They're in the other pillars, too!" Jaden said. "One by one, the keys to the seven spirit gates..."
"Could it be that... the seven spirit gates..." Alexis said.
"... are opening!?" Chazz explaimed while the others glared at him.
"Everyone!" The group turned to see Shepard and Crowler running up to them.
"Something has happened, has it not? What in the world is going on?" Crowler asked the group.
"Well, about the keys to the seven Spirit Gates..." Jaden replied.
"It's all Chazz's fault!" Everyone pointed at Chazz.
"So that's it! Those spirit gates opened because of the power of love!" Chazz said defensively, grinning a little.
"You're bonkers." Red Hat dead panned at his reply.
"How far will you take this optimism of yours?" Alexis said.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake. "What now?" Red Hat asked.
He would get his answer in the form of a large, square object that rose from the ground. Everyone watched in curiosity as another, smaller object appeared on top, followed by a bright orb of light. Inside the orb, were three cards; One was blue, one was yellow and one was red.
Jaden stared at those cards for a moment, before realizing what they were. "Those are..."
"The Sacred Beast cards!" Chazz filled in.
Jaden, Red Hat and Chazz jumped down in the clearing, but stopped as soon as a deep voice echoed through the air.
"I can not give those cards to you at all."
Everyone looked up at the sky and saw some kind of airplane. As it came closer, the rear of the plane opened up and a large, metal object was seen.
"What the...?!" Jaden said.
"It dropped something!" Chazz noted.
As the metal object began to decend, parachutes shot out of it,gently making it float down. Once it was halfway close to the ground, the parachutes released themselves, and caused the metal object to fall down safely with a the smoke around it cleared, everyone could see what the object was. It was a strange mechanical body, with four, curved legs on the corners, what looked like a huge battery on the back, and the front was a very large tube. Inside the tube, was a very old man, hooked up to wires, tubes and wearing an oxygen mask wgile his mane of white, scraggly hair floated around no one could see it, he was also wearing a ring on ne of his fingers. A golden ring shaped like the millennium symbol.
"What is that robot?" Sheppard asked.
The old man inside the tube chuckled. "Chancellor Sheppard, I see that you have forgotten my voice..."
"Is that voice... Chairman Kagemaru?!" All the students, plus Crowler, stared at the Chancellor, unable to believe what he just said.
"Kagemaru?" Crowler questioned.
"Chairman?" Jaden repeated.
"The time is now right." The one now named Kagemaru said. "I will conduct the ritual to revive the three Sacred Beasts right here."
"A ritual to revive the three Sacred Beasts?" Jaden repeated, stepping forward.
"What do you mean? Why have the seven Spirit Gates opened on their own?!" Red Hat asked, also stepping forward.
"Because I had it set up from the beginning. It was I who first sealed the three Sacred Beasts away here and entrusted the seven spirit keys to Sheppard."
"Oh my!" Crowler turned to the Chancellor who glared at the Chairman.
"The seven keys were nothing more then a tool to have you battle the seven Shadow Riders..." As he spoke, Kagemaru moved his machine towards the cards. "...and to strengthen the fighting spirits of the duelist that are on this island."
"See? This isn't the Chazz's fault." Chazz muttered.
Red Hat rolled his eyes. "What ever you say, lover boy."
"Many years ago, I acquired the three Sacred Beasts, legendary cards they said... to grant eternal life and world domination. However, to revive the power that lies dormant within the three Sacred Beasts cards... I found I needed that I needed a space that was full with the fighting spirits of duelists. It is for that reason I created this academy... and nurtured duelist appropriate for the revival of the three Sacred Beasts."
"Stop feeding us that nonense!" Alexis said, glaring at the old man. "So, you're telling us that we were being used from the very beginning?"
"You'll pay for using me!" Red Hat replied.
"Listen up!" Zane stepped forward. "There is no way you're getting those Beast cards, not so long as I'm here, you've got that, Kagemaru? You'll have to duel me for them!"
"Back off!" Chazz stepped in. "It's my duel and I'll Chazz you up, Big time! So let's go!"
"No way! He's all mine!" Atticus glared at the old man, strumming his instrument. "After all, he and I are old friends. He transformed me into one of his Shadow Riders!"
"With my intellec,t I'll face you here and now!" Bastion said.
"That will not do! My opponents wil be, Jaden Yuki and you Chaos user."
"I am?" Jaden questioned.
"Come again?" Red Hat added.
"Yes... It would be meaningless without you two, he who holds the most powerful power to control spirits, and you the one with the power of chaos." And then suddenly, electricity flowed around the seven pillars, creating a circled perimeter around the students and teachers. "If you refuse my challenge, this island will sink into the seas, while you are unable to leave here."
"What'd you say?" Jaden questioned.
Some of the mechnical parts of the tube carrier moved away, revealing two robot arms; one wielding a duel disk. Kagemaru used his robot arms to grab the three cards.
"The Sacred Beast cards!" Red Hat gasped.
"Now, fight, Jaden Yuki."
"I don't like this, but if that's what this is, I'll leave it up to you two." Chazz turned around and waled back.
"Where are you going?" Jaden questioned.
"To find a boat." Chazz replied as he climbed up from the clearing.
"Catch!" Syrus called out and tossed a backpack... which hit Chazz in the face before flying over Jaden who caught it.
"You oaky?" Jaden asked.
"Of course I am!" Chazz said, glaring at him and Red Hat. "More importantly, Jaden and Red Hat, you both will pay if you lose here!"
"I know!" Jaden promised before turning to the old man. "Kagemaru, I'm going to put an end to all of this!" As soon as he pulled out his duel disk, a familiar book fell out of the backpack. 'This card!' Jaden kneeled down and pulledout the card that stuck out. 'Professor Banner, are you telling me to use this card?' Jaden nodded before glancing at the spell. "All right! I'll believe in the power of the card you left befind!" At that, Jaden slid the card into his deck and shuffled.
"Jaden, throw my backpack over!" Chumley called out.
"Right! Thank you!" Jaden replied, and tossed his backpack back to him.
Unfortunately, Chazz got hit by it before he could climb up again.
"Sorry, Chazz! My bad!" Jaden apologized.
"Damn you guys... I bet you did on purpose! If you want a fight, I'll take you on!" Chazz yelled.
"Then I'll gladly do it, just to mock you further." Red Hat snikered.
Kagemaru moved back a bit and reposition his machine. "Now why don't we begin our shadow duel?"
"Right! Bring it when you're ready!" Jaden challenged.
"I'll help out!" As Red Hat got closer to Jaden. A dark purple barrier appeared and spread around the field. While they could still see Jaden and Kagemaru. They could not break the barrier. "Hey! What gives!"
"You will not interfere with our duel." Kagemaru replied. "Once I defeat JAden Yuki, you'll be next in line."
"I won't allow that!" Red Hat punched the barrier, only to be knocked back as it shocked him.
"It's no use. You can not break a shadow barrier. Face it, you're stuck."
Red Hat growled at that respose. "Tch, wait until I get over there."
"Let's duel Kagemaru!" Jaden said, as both he and Kagemaru readied their duel disk.

"I'll go first! Draw!" Kagemaru draws.
Hand 6
"I'll set three cards facedown. That ends my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.
Hand 3
'Something is not right here.' Red Hat observed. 'Set three pass. Just what are you planning?'
"It's my turn, I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 6
"Go continuous trap, Metal Reflect Slime! With this you can't attack me for now. (Atk: 0 Def: 3000)" A metalic slime appeared on the field.
"Well, I don'thave to. I play the spell Polymerization! I fuse Elemental HERO Clayman and Burstinatrix to create Elemental HERO Rampart Blasterin defense mode! (Atk: 2000 Def: 2500)" Rampart Blaster appears and kneels down on the field. "Time for battle!"
"Go continuous trap, Gravity Bind! Thanks to this, all level 4 and above monsters can not declare attacks. So no dirrect attacks." A white barrier appears on both Metal Reflect Slime and Rampart Blaster, signaling intense gravity on the monsters.
"Argh, I'll throw down a facedown and end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.
Hand 2
"It's my turn. I draw!" Kagemaru draws.
Hand 4
"I activate my other continuous trap Robin Goblin, but no matter. By sending these three traps to the graveyard, I can special summon the first Sacred Beast! Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!" Everyone watched as Kagemaru's three traps disappeared behind the tree line, in front of the pillars. And then as the sky turned dark, a huge pillar of flames erupted high into the air.
"What is this?" Red Hat cried out.
The flaming stream disappeared, and in it's place, a gigantic, red, winged serpent-like creature hovered above ground. It let out a mighty roar from it's mouth... which appeared to have a second mouth inside.
"So that's a Sacred Beast. Incredible." Red Hat muttered, astounded by the monster's apperensce.
As everyone stared at the mighty beast... 'Boss!' chazz heard a familiar voice coming from his pulled it out and looked at Ojama Yellow's card, who looked like he was suffering. 'Help me, Boss! That thing... it's doing something to us!'
"Suck it up. I'm sure you're fine." Chazz dismissed and looked back at the duel as a strong wind picked up.
'A Sacred Beast has been released.' Red Hat looked beside him and saw Aussa with a worried look on her face. Holding her right arm, as she was in pain.
"What's the matter Aussa?" Red Hat asked.
'The Sacred Beast absorb our power and feeds off us. I'll be fine so long as I don't leave your side.'
'I'll take your word for it.' Red Hat though as he turned back to the duel.
"Ignition Priority from Uria's effect, I can destroy a set spell or trap on the field. Trap Destruction!" Uria opened it's mouth and let another earsplitting roar. The roar's shockwave destroyed Jaden's facedown card, which revealed to be the trap, Bottomless Trap hole.
"We can not activate any spells and traps ard in response to Uria's effect. Uria gains 1000 attack points for every continuous trap card in my graveyard. That's three for a total of 3000 attack points! (Atk: 0 - 3000 Def:0) Now, destroy that Rampart Blaster! Hyper Blaze!" Uria opened its mouth and launched a stream of extremely hot fire at Rampart Blaster, burningher to a crisp. Though she was in defense mode, Jaden could feel some of the flames coming right at him.
'So no response to Uria's effect. I'd say, that's spell speed 4. Counter Traps are spell speed 3, which are the fastest. So spell speed 4 means, it's faster. I don't think I ever seen effects like that before.' Red Hat observed.
"I end my turn. Your move Jaden." Kagemaru ends his turn.
Hand 3
"Turn for what?" Zane asked. "That monster's too powerful. Kagemaru isn't going to let him destroy it that easily."
'As far as I know that monster has no protection.' Red Hat thougt.
Jaden grit his teeth and glanced up at Uria. 'I can't get scared... I knew from the beginning that he'd go and use the Sacred Beast cards on me. My chest is throbbing... being able to battle a monster as awesome as this... I'm glad, it's got my heart pounding!'
"You okay Jaden?" Red Hat asked.
"Don't worry Red Hat. I'm fine. Alright it's my turn I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 3
"I set a monster, then I play the continuous spell Mirage of Nightmare! I'll throw down a facedown and end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.
Hand 0
"It's my turn, I draw." Kagemaru draws.
Hand 4
"Now, Mirage of Nightmare effect kicks in. I can draw until I hold 4 cards in my hand." Jaden draws his cards.
"Let me guess that facedown will disable Mirage." Kagemaru pointed out.
"Yeah that's right. Go quickplay, Emergency Provisions! I send Mirage to the graveyard, I gain 1000 LP." Jaden said as Mirage of Nightmare shattered into pieces. Regaining some LP
Jaden: 8000 - 9000 LP
"You'll need those life points. I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I play the continuous spell Spell Absorption. Everytime a spell is played I get 500 LP. I play another Spell Absorption, so that's 500 LP for me."
Kagemaru: 8000 - 8500 LP
"Now I play my third continuous spell, Burning Land. That's more LP for me since I played a spell."
Kagemaru: 8500 - 9500 LP
'What are you up to?' Red Hat thought.
"Now, by sending these three continuous spells to special summon the second Sacred Beast! Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder! (Atk: 4000 Def: 4000)" The spells turned into ice shards. Then the ice shards flew backard creating three seperate ice trails before coming together and creating large ice pillars behind Kagemaru. With a devastating roar, a new horrible beast emerged from the ice, lightning cracking arund its body. This new beast had a golden body, lengthy limbs that ended up in slightly curved feet and hands, its huge claws glinting in the light as its bony tail swayed from side to side.
"There it is." Zane said as he and the others were astounded by the new monster's apperance.
"We see it." Chazz repled.
"The second Sacred Beast." Bastion said.
Jaden braced himself.
"Hamon, attack!" Hamon lifited its mighty head to the sky, and spat out a bolt of blue lightning from its mouth into the clouds above. "Destroy his facedown monster. Cerulean Sky Fire!" Soon, the whole sky was coursing with Hamon's power before lighnting bolts rained down onto Jaden's field and destroyed his facedown monster and was revealed to be Wroughtweiler. The Lightning bolts nearly hit Jaden. (Atk: 800 Def: 1200)
"When Wroughtweiler is destroyed, I get to add back an Elemental HERO and Polymerization from graveyard to my hand. I'll choose Clayman." Jaden added back his cards, although he was struct by a huge lightning bolt from the sky. Jaden fell to his knees after that attack.
"Hamon effect, when he destroys a monster in battle, you take 1000 burn damage." Kagemaru spoke.
Jaden: 9000 - 8000 LP
"You are wide open, Uria attack him directly! Hyper Blaze!" Uria opened its mouth and launched a stream of extremely hot fire at Jaden. Jaden screamed in pain and was knocked off his feet.
Jaden: 8000 - 5000 LP
"Now I play the field spell, Fallen Paradise!" The whole area was changed into a barren, rocky wasteland. The sky became very dark and cloudy as mist crept along the ground. "This field spell allows me to draw 2 cards every turn, so long as I control a Sacred Beast. I'll use it's effect now to draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "With that I end my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.
Hand 2
Jaden gets back on his feet. "Argh, It's my turn, I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 7
"I play Polymerization! I fuse Sparkman and King of the Swamp to fusion summon, Elemental HERO Shining Flare Wingman! (Atk: 2500 - 3100 Def: 2100)" Shining Flare Wingman emerges onto the field. "Shining Flare Wingman effect, he gains 300 attack points for every Elemental HERO in my graveyard. Since I have two Elemental HEROs, he has just enough attack points to destroy Uria. Shining Flare Wingman attack! Shining Emerald Orb!" The hero leapt high into the air and flew in front of Uria. He launched a giant green energy ball at Uria. As Uria was strucked by the orb, it exploded as it fell to the ground before disapearing.
Kagemaru: 9500 - 9400 LP
"Uria's origianl attacks points are zero, so you won't be doing damage to me." Kagemaru points out.
"Yeah yeah, I get it. I set two cards facedown and end my turn." Jaden ends his turn.
Hand 2
"My turn, I draw!" Kagemaru draws.
Hand 3
"Fallen Paradise effect. I'm allowed to draw 2 more cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I play the spell Gracful Charity! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2." Kagemaru draws his cards and discards Wall of Illusion and Newdoria. "I play the spell card Monster Reborn to bring back a monster and I choose the monster I discard which is Wall of Illusion! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1850)" A fiendish wall, with a face, appeared next to Hamon. "Next I play the quickplay spell Inferno Reckless Summon! Since I special summoned a monster with 1500 attack or less on my fiend I'm allowed to special summon more copies of the same monster to my field. You get to summon a monster too, but since your monster is from the extra deck. You can't summon at all or if you only had one copy." Two more Wall of Illusions appeared on the field.
'Granted, Jaden's fusion monsters have fusion clause. They can not be summoned at all except by fusion summon.' Red Hat thought.
"Now I have enough to summon the last Sacred Beast. I tribute my three Wall of Illsuions, who are fiend type monsters, to summon my last Sacred Beast." The three fiends vaished as bolts of lightning boomed above everyone. Then, the whole field was engulfed in a bright blue light. Everyone covered their eyes from the glaring light as a strong wind picked up around them.
"BEHOLD! Raviel, Lord of Phantasms!" (Atk: 4000 Def: 4000)" The ground behind Kagemaru exploded, sending huge chunks into the air. Everyone looked up when something rose up in that spot, letting out a mighty roar. letting out a mighty roar. It was the final Sacred Beast, which looked like a dark and twisted version of Oelisk the Tormentor.
'Another Sacred Beast. Unless those traps are removal, Jaden has his work cut out for him.' Red Hat thought.
'Boss...' Chazz looked at his deck, and was shocked to see Ojama Yellow much skinnier, like he was sick. 'Help us, Boss... all of us...'
"What's going on!" Chazz questiones.
All the others looked at their own decks and were horrified to see that their cards didn't look so good either. "All my cards are fading." Alexis said.
"Mine too." Chumley added.
"Our monsters..." Bastion trailed off.
"They're all disappearing!" Syrus said.
Red Hat took out his deck and took a look at it. He sighed in relief that his cards were fine. Although, that got Red Hat to question things. Why weren't his cards being effected? Neither was Jaden cards being effected.
'Those Sacred Beast are taking duel spirits of the cards and absorbing them.' Aussa explains as she appears next to Red Hat, with her hand on her forhead. 'Your cards, including myself will be fine so long as we feed off your power. Your friend monsters are also fine.'
"Hope you're okay... I don't want to lose you." Red Hat replied with a down look.
Aussa chuckled at his replied. 'I didn't know you had a heart.' Aussa disappears from sight.
"Have you all noticed by now?" Kagemaru said.. And when everyone turned to him, they saw a golden aura surrounding Hamon and Raviel. "Ever since the Sacred Beast first appeared on the field, they have been sucking up the life energy of your monsters... except for Jaden's, since he happens to be conducting a shadow game at the moment. This also applies to you Chaos user, but for different reasons."
"That's why they were locked away!" Zane realized. "The Sacred Beast are monsters that absorb the life energy of other monsters to manifest their power!"
"Mamma Mia!" Crowler said in disbelief.
"Des Koala..." Chumley muttered.
"My machine's are turning to scrap!" Syrus whimpered.
"So, is that why they're cards that were sealed away?" Bastion asked.
"However, my power to control the Sacred Beast is not yet complete. It's impossible to control the three Sacred Beast unless it is within this barrier. To control the three Sacred Beasts, I need the power to control spirits that dwells within you!"
"Power to control spirits?" Jaden questioned.
"When I win this Shadow duel and absorb your power, I will take the three Sacred Beast out of this barrier..." As Kagemaru spoke, blue and golden auras surrounded Raviel and Hamon before moving to him. "...and they will start to take the spirits dwelling within duel monsters all around the world!"
"The three Sacred Beasts taking card spirits..." Jaden muttered.
Red Hat stared at the Sacred Beasts with a narrowed look. 'Will this effect the spirit realm if they are freed?'
Aussa reappears next to Red Hat, still with her hand on her forhead. 'If they are freed, then the spirit realm will be in danger, and we'll all be gone. Your friend can not lose this battle.'
"Jaden, wont lose. I can assure you that Aussa." Red Hat replied.
"It's still my turn. Hamon attack that Shining Flare Wingman! Cerulean Sky Fire!" Hamon lifited its mighty head to the sky, and spat out a bolt of blue lightning from its mouth into the clouds above. This time, Jaden was not having it.
"Don't think so. Go trap card, Magic Cylinder! Your attack gets thrown back to you!" The lightning was absorbed into one of the Cylinders and on the second cylinder, shot back the lightning straight at Kagemaru.
Kagemaru: 9400 - 5400 LP
"You may have stopped Hamon, but what will protect you from Raviel! Raviel attack that Shining Flare Wingam! Shimmering Scraper!" Raviel pulled back his arm and swung his clawed hand at Shining Flare Wingman, destroying it with a big explosion.
Jaden: 5000 - 4100 LP
"I play my Pot of Greed, so I draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I set three cards facedown and end my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.
Hand 0
It's my turn, I draw!" Jaden draws.
Hand 3
"I pass turn." Jaden immediately ends his turn.
Hand 3
"What's the matter? Have you given up?" Kagemaru taunts.
'Hope that card saves you Jaden.' Red Hat thought.
"Then it's my turn. I draw!" Kagemaru draws.
Hand 1
"Thanks to Fallen Paradise, I get to draw 2 more cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I play Monster Reincarnation! I discard one card to add back a monster from my grave back to my hand. I choose Uria!" Kagemaru discards Giant Germ and adds back his card.
'Those must be continuous traps to summon Uria back.' Red Hat oserved.
"I activate my continuous trap cards! Robin Goblin, Solemn Wishes and Metal Reflect Slime! (Atk: 0 Def: 3000)" Another metalic slime appeared on the field.
"Argh, before you begin, I'll play the quickplay The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh! It lets me summon Winged Kuriboh from my deck! (Atk: 300 Def: 200)" His winged duel spirt appeared in front of him.
"You think it matters? Now I send my three continuous traps to the grave to resummon, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames! (Atk: 0 - 6000 Def: 0)" Uria returns to the field in a fiery blaze. "With six continuous traps, Uria now has 6000 attack points!"
"All three Sacred Beasts..." Red Hat muttered. "It's unsettling seeing all three on the field."
"Not good." Zane scowled. "He's gathered all three of them out!"
Once again, the Sacred Beasts began to glow a bright, golden aura as hundreds of small, glowing orbs flew through the sky towards them. Jaden and Red Hat looked around, staring at the orbs.
"What the...!?"
"The cards!"
Inside a small shop, two small boys stared through a display case and watched as all the duel monsters cards slowly lost their images. The boys started to cry as an elderly, short man in overalls walked up behind them, gazing at the cards as well.
Somewhere else, Slade and Jagger watched inside their briefcase, and were stunned to see their prized, rare cards suffer the same thing.
"All our cards!"
"They're vanishing!"
Inside a small room somewhere. Blair was looking through her deck. Until she noticed her cards slowly lost their images.
"What's going on?" She looked through her cards. Only one was not effected, was one of the chaos monsters Red Hat gave her. Although, it was slowly starting to fade. "Something is wrong here. I hope this nightmare ends soon. Jaden, Red Hat please be safe."
Chazz brought up his deck and looked down in horror. "Ojama Yellow!" The small, annoying spirit's image on its card slowly decayed away, leaving a bony skeleton on the card.
Red Hat took out his deck and noticed it was still in good condition. Aussa appeared next to Red Hat, but was on her knees clutching her staff tightly. 'All three are on the field. Kagemaru laughed triumphantly. "Yes! Come to me..."
Jaden stared at the tube Kagemaru was in. "That's freaky."
"In anycase, I'll destroy you! Hamon attack his Kuriboh! Cerulean Sky Fire!" Hamon lifited its mighty head to the sky, and spat out a bolt of blue lightning from its mouth into the clouds above. The lightning destroyed Winged Kuriboh.
"When Winged Kuriboh is destroyed, I take no battle damage for the rest of this turn." Jaden said, but was then structed by blue Lightning, causing to scream in pain and drop to his knees.
Jaden: 4100 - 3100 LP
"Did you forget about Hamon's effect? Your Kuriboh may have proteced you from the rest of this battle, but not from burn damage." Kagemaru pointed out.
Jaden struggled to stand up. Winged Kuriboh appeared next to him, pointing at something. Following his claw, Jaden looked down and saw the top card of his deck popping out, glowing briefly. "What this?" He added the card to his hand and looked at it. "The card that was in Professor Baner's Emerald Tablet!" Jaden glanced at Kagemaru's tube. "Banner, was about you to the very end!"
Kagemaru scoffed. "You give him too much credit. He was nothing more then a pawn. As are you."
"You wish!" Jaden sapped.
"If you have a problem with that, feel free to say so! However, that is if you are able to defeat me in this duel! I end my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.

"It's my turn. I draw!" Jaden draws.

'Jaden... Jaden...' A mysterious voice called out.
"Was that voice just now... Professor Banner?" Jaden questioned as he tured around and saw an orb hovering towards him.
Pharaoh was there as well, leaping and newing at it, trying to hit it with his paws. 'Jaden, you must use the card, now!'
"But use it how?" Jaden asked, looking at the card he got from Banner.
"That is for you to decide. It will grant you three card covets. That is, it will add a card of your desire to your hand three times. Then, after the third covet, its true power will be revealed. And if you've played your card right, it will.."
Before Banner could finish, Pharaoh lept up and swallowed the orb, and dashed away, leaving Jaden behind.
Jaden glanced at the card in question. 'So I just think of a card I need? It's says to swtich cards with the card I need. Deck or Graveyard, then it get's added back.' Jaden closed his eyes and concentrated. And then, the card glowed as its image changed to a completely different image. His LP was cut in half, by it's effect.
Jaden: 3100 - 1550 LP
Jaden opened his eyes and saw what the spell card became. 'It's the exact card I wanted!' He grinned. 'Thanks, Banner...'
Red Hat noticed his expression. 'Jaden, if you have a plan, end this duel now. You won't get another chance.'
"Alright, I play the spell Graceful Charity. I draw 3 cards, then I discard 2." Jaden draws his cards and discards Clayman and Bubbleman. The previous spell returned to Jaden's hand. 'Alright, time for my second card covet.' The card glowed briefly.
Jaden: 1550 - 775 LP
"Now I play the spell E - Emergecy Call! With this card, I'm allowed to add an Elemental HERO from my deck to my hand. I choose Elemental HERO Avian!" Jaden hads his card to his hand. The previuous spell returned to his hand. 'Alright my last card covet.' The card glowed briefly.
Jaden: 775 - 388 LP
"First up I summon Elemental HERO Avian in attack mode! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1000)" Avian emerges onto the field.
"Since you normal summoned, Raviel effect activates. I get to special summon a Phantasm Token! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1000)" A smaller version of Raviel appeared and crossed it's arms.
"Now I play the spell Miracle Fusion! I banish Elemental HERO Avian Burstinatrix Clayman and Bubbleman to fusion summon, Elemental HERO Electrum! (Atk: 2900 Def: 2600)" Electrum appears onto the field. "Electrum's effect, all banished cards return to our decks. Well, mine anyway, since you have none." Jaden returns his cards back into his deck. "Electrums other effect, he gains 300 attack points for every monster on your field that shares his attribute. Since he's also treated as fire, water, wind and earth, he gains 600 attack points as your Uria and Hamon are light and fire attribute. (Atk: 2900 - 3500 Def: 2600)"
Kagemaru scoffed. "So what? You still don't have enough attack points!"
"That's where your wrong! Now it's time I play, the spell card known as Sabatiel the Philosopher's Stone! Since I used all three of card covet, it now has a different effect. I target a moster I control, it multiplies my monster's attack points by the number of monsters you control. That's four, so Electrum's attack points are now... (Atk: 3500 - 14000 Def: 2600)" A gigantic, two-bladed sword appeared in Electrum's hands.
Kagemaru's eyes widened at the power boost. "14000 attack points!"
"It's over, Kagemaru! Now, go Electrum! Seal his fate!" Electrum leapt into the air, his new weapon ready. As soon as he reached Raviel, he held up his sword and brought it down hard, slicing through Raviel's body, creating a thick, glowing line in Raviel's body as he did so.
Kagemaru watched in horror inside his tube as Raviel was obliterated from the field, creating a massive explosion.

The barrier around Jaden disappeared. As the barrier disappeared, Red Hat ran up to Jaden and gave a high five.
"Way to go Jaden, I knew we can count on you!" Red Hat said.
Jaden smiled as he high fived Red Hat. "Thanks, I'd never let you guys down." Jaden looked at Banner's card. "What a card." Jaden muttered.
Red Hat took a look at the card. His eyes widened at the card. 'This card is beyond busted. Banner, how do you have this card?'
Everyone soon hears Kagemaru laughing. They turned to his direction and everyone noticed, the three Sacred Beasts were still on the field, only in spirit form. Everyone took a their decks and saw that their cards images have not returned. Only Jaden's and Red Hat's cards remained.
"What's going on?! I thought we defeated the Sacred Beasts?" Red Hat questioned.
"Mwahahaha! You think you won!? The energy from the duel with Jaden Yuki have revived the beats! The three Sacred Beasts will grant me eternal life and the strength to conquer the world!" The tube that held Kagemaru was soon completely filled with many bubbles and Kagemary himself started to de-age. "Yes... yes... rejuvenate me!" He let out a mighty roar before the glass broke in many places and all the water gushed out through the big hole that was formed. Everyone watched as a strong, healthy-looking arm reached out to the duel disk and pulled it off the mechanical arm.
"What in the world?" Red Hat muttered as he and everyone else saw Kagemaru leaping out of the tube, with the duel disk on his left arm. The most shocking of this was that he no longer looked like an old man. He looked more like a young, healthy bodybuilder with a mane of unruly black hair flowing ehind him, and some kind of andage-like clothing covering the neither part of his body.
"He's been reborn!" Sheppard gasped at the chairman's new body.
Kagemaru smirked as he turned to the machine he used moments ago, reaching down and grabbing the bottom. Then, to everyone's disbelief, he lifted up the machine and threw it high into the air and far away. The machine blow up when it landed in the forest. The new man looked at his work and grinned. "Yes! I've been reborn! My youth! My strength! Mwahahahaha! I like this new body... but something's missing." He turned and looked wickedly at Red Hat. "Oh, I know, Red Hat! I'm missing your soul! Let's finish this now!"
"Jaden, may I take Banner's card please?" Red Hat asked.
Jaden handed him the card. "Will do, just take him down."
Red Hat took the card from Jaden. "Thanks Jaden." Jaden walked towards where the rest of the gang was. Red Hat changed a couple cards in his deck. 'One more duel. After this duel, hopefully I'll retire this deck and try something different.' Red Hat shuffles Banner's card and Aussa into his deck, before inserting his deck into his duel disk slot.
"Ready to be destroyed by the Sacred Beasts, chaos user?" Kagemaru smirked.
"The only one to be destroyed will be you." Red Hat shot back.
"Your power is something the Sacred Beasts want. You'll be the final step for me to achive world domination!"
"I won't let you get away with this. I'll stop you here and now!" Red Hat readies his duel disk
"Prepare for battle!" Kagemaru reactivates his duel disk.

"I'll start this duel off. I draw!" Kagemaru draws.

"Very well, it's go time. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I play the spell Heavy Storm! All spell and traps on your field are destoryed!" Powerful winds emerged onto the field.
"You think I wans't prepared for that? Go continuous trap, Imperial Order! This card negates all spell cards!" An emperor appeared on the field and with some sort of power, the heavy winds were reduced to a breeze before disappearing.
"Argh, fine I'll summon Breaker the Magical Warrior in attack mode! (Atk: 1600 - 1900 Def: 1000)" The spellcaster warrior appeared on the field. "His effect he get's a spell counter to boost his attack by 300. I'll use that spell counter to destroy one of your facedowns!" Before Breaker could use it's power...
"I don't thik so, go continuous trap! Skill Drain! By paying 1000 LP, all monster effects are negated!" Soon a powerful wave appeared and shocked Breaker the Magical Warrior. Making him unable to use his power. (Atk: 1900 - 1600 Def: 1000)
Kagemaru: 8000 - 7000 LP
"You really are trying to lock me down. Battle, Breaker attack Kagemaru directly." Breaker, despite being weakened by the Skill Drain, charges in at Kagemaru.
"Go my third continuous trap! Fairy Box! First I toss a coin and call it. If I call it right then your monsters attack reduced to zero. If call it wrong then the attack continues like normal." Kagemaru announces as a coin appears.
'This is the same trick, that guy pulled the other day.' Alexis thought. 'No way he'll be lucky to pull it off.'
"Relying on chance? Let's see if you can get it." Red Hat said.
"I'll call tails. Let's see if I'm right." Kagemaru tosses the coin. As it lands he cates it and slaps it on his hand. It was revealed to be tails. "I called it right, tails. So Breaker's attack becomes zero!" Breaker closed in but his power was reduced again. Kagemaru pushed him back, like nothing happened.
"Tch, fine I'll end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

'There's no point in putting facedowns is he's going to summon Uria. Unless I have a Solemn Judgement I won't activate facedowns cause Uria's effect is spell speed 4.' Red Hat thought.
"What's wrong. Is that all you got to muster? It's my turn I draw!" Kagemaru draws.

"I play 500 LP and 700 LP to keep Imperial Order and Fairy Box in play!" Kagemaru pays the cost for his traps.
Kagemaru: 7000 - 6500 - 5800 LP
"By sending these three traps to the graveyard, I can special summon the first Sacred Beast! Uria, Lord of Searing Flames! (Atk: 0 - 3000 Def: 0)" Everyone watched as Kagemaru's three traps disappeared behind the tree line, in front of the pillars. And then as the sky turned dark, a huge pillar of flames erupted high into the air. Uria appeared from the flames.
"Him again..." Red Hat muttered.
"He's not the only you'll see. First I play the continuous spell Spell Absorbtion! Before it does anything I'll play another Spell Absorbtion! Now it's effect allows me to gain 500 LP since I activated a spell card!"
Kagemaru: 5800 - 6300 LP
"Now I play Pot of Greed! So I draw 2 more cards!" Kagemaru draws his cards.
Kagemaru: 6300 - 7300 LP
"Now I play the field spell Fallen Paradise!" The whole area was changed into a barren, rocky wasteland. The sky became very dark and cloudy as mist crept along the ground. "This field allows me to draw 2 cards every turn, so long as I control a Sacred Beast. I'll use it's effect now to draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards.
Kagemaru: 7300 - 8300 LP
"Now I play one more the continuous spell The Dark Door! Now I gain another 1000 LP!"
Kagemaru: 8300 - 9300 LP
"That's a lot of life points." Jaden noted.
"This is really bad." Syrus whimpered.
"Now, by sending these three continuous spells to special summon the second Sacred Beast! Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder! (Atk: 4000 Def: 4000)" The spells turned into ice shards. Then the ice shards flew backard creating three seperate ice trails before coming together and creating large ice pillars behind Kagemaru. Hamon appeared with a devastating roar.
Red Hat stared at the two sacred beast, as he took a step back.
"Mwahahaha, time for you to feel the wrath of the Sacred Beasts! Battle, Hamon attack his Breaker the Magical Warrior! Cerulean Sky Fire!" Soon, the whole sky was coursing with Hamon's power before lighnting bolts rained down onto Breaker the Magical Warrior.
Red Hat: 8000 - 5600 LP
"Don't forget about Hamon's effect, you take 1000 burn damage!" Hamon launched a huge lightning bolt from the sky. Red Hat fell to one knee as he was strucked by the lightning, holding his hat to cover his face.
Red Hat: 5600 - 4600 LP
"You are wide open, Uria attack him directly! Hyper Blaze!" Uria opened its mouth and launched a stream of extremely hot fire at Red Hat. Red Hat screamed in pain as he was knocked off his feet.

'The burns, the lightning... it hurts...' He thought, panting at the pain he endured.
"Is this all you got, chaos user! You'll soon be destroyed and I'll absorb your power and your soul!"
Red Hat glared at the man as he slowly stood up, still enduring the pain from the attacks. "Shut up, I won't be beaten so easily."
"All talk and no bite. I expected much more from you. Perhaps I've been mistaken." Kagemaru said.
"You'll regret this Kagemaru." Red Hat growled.
"You can't stop the beasts. Face it, this will soon be over. I'll set one card facedown and end my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.

"Red Hat is trouble!" Bastion pointed out. "He's in critical LP and he's facing two Sacred Beasts cards at once!"
"Red Hat will need to strike a major come back. Those beasts are too powerful." Zane said.
"Don't count him out yet. Red Hat won't let us down." Jaden replied.
"I won't let you push me around. It's my turn. I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I play Pot of Greed! So that's 2 more cards." Red Hat draws his cards. "I set a monster and play the spell Swords of Revealing Light! Now you can't attack for three turns!" Dozens of swords of light rained down upon the field, surroundng the Sacred Beasts. "I end my turn here." Red Hat ends his turn.

"How quaint. Is that the best you can do, chaos user?" Kagemaru taunted. "You're only delying your demise. I draw!" Kagemaru draws.

"Thanks to Fallen Paradise I can draw 2 more cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I set a monster, then I'll set one cards facedown and end my turn. You're lucky Uria can't destroy face up spell or traps." Kagemaru ends his turn.

"We'll see about that. It's my turn I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I play the spell Graceful Charity! I draw three cards then I disacrd 2." Red Hat draws his cards and discards DMOC and D.D. Warrior Lady. "I flip summon Magician of Faith! (Atk: 300 Def: 400) Since she was flipped I'll add back a spell. I choose Graceful Charity!" Red Hat adds his card as Magician of Faith revealed herself. "I'll tribute her to summon Zaborg the Thunder Monarch! (Atk: 2400 Def: 1000)" The monarch appears on the field with a blast of lightning. Although it was much taller then he usually was.
Aussa appeared on the field next to Red Hat. 'Monarchs, are much larger then what the holograms make you believe. This type of shadow game shows their true might.'
"I see, well thanks for pointing that out Aussa." Red Hat replied as he continued his turn. "Zaborg effect, since he was tribute summoned, I get to destroy one monster on the field. So Uria you're out of here!" Zaborg charged up massive amounts of lightning.
"Do you think I'll let you destroy Uria that easily? Go counter trap! Divine Wrath! By discarding one card,I can negate your monsters effect and destroy it! So your Zaborg is destroyed!" Kagemaru discards his last card, then Zaborg was zapped by powerful divine power and was destroyed. The left over lightning bolts reached Red Hat, causing him pain.
"Argh! Don't think I'm done yet! I'll play Monster Reborn to bring back one of my monsters from my grave I choose Dark Magician of Chaos! (Atk: 2800 Def: 2600)" The chaos spellcaster appeared on the field. "His effect I get to add back a spell. So I'll add back Monster Reborn. Battle, DMOC destroy his facedown monster!" DMOC twirled his staff and fired a large ball of dark energy at the the facedown and revealed to be Newdoria. (Atk: 1200 Def: 800) "When DMOC destroys a monster, that monster is banished instead. So Newdoria effect doesn't activate."
"Clever, just what I expect from the chaos user." Kagemaru said.
"Tch, just you wait. I'll end my turn here." Red Hat ends his turn.

"It's my turn, I draw!" Kagemaru draws.

"Fallen Paradise, I get to draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I play the spell card Smashing Ground! This card destroys your monster with the highest defense! Since you only control one monster, your DMOC is destroyed!" A large fist from the sky appeared smashed DMOC to the ground and was destroyed. Leaving a creator befind.
"Just peachy." Red Hat growled
"Go ahead, act tough as much as you want. It won't change a thing. I'll set a monster and I'll set a facedown and end my turn." Kagemaru ends his turn.

"It's my turn, I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I banish Magican of Faith and Breaker the Magical Warrior, to special summon Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" The chaos warrior appears on the field. "Ignition priority! I'll use his effect to banish a monster. In exchange, he can't attack. Uria get's banished!" Black Luster Soldier charged up his sword with itense energy and lauched it at Uria. Banishing him from this world.
"You think you stopped the beasts, but all your doing is delying the inevitable." Kagemaru said.
"We'll see about that. I'll set one card facedown and end my turn." Red Hat ends his turn.

"You'll see that you're just wasting time. I draw!" Kagemaru draws.
Hand 1
"I play Pot of Greed so I draw 2 cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "I'll use Fallen Paradise to draw 2 more cards," Kagemaru draws more cards. "I play the spell card Fissure! I can destroy a monster with the lowest attack points! Since you only have one monster, your Black Luster Soldier is destroyed!" The ground open up from behind BLS and soon fell down to the void before the ground closed back up.
"BLS, I'll avenge you. I swear it." Red Hat muttered.
"Please you're in to position to save anyone. I summon the Wall of Illusion in attack mode! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1850)" A wall like fiend creature apeared on the field. "Next up I flip summon my Giant Germ! (Atk: 1000 Def: 100)" A giagantic ball of pollutants appeared on the field. "I'll end my turn with that. It's been three turns so your Swords of Revealing Light expire!" Kagemaru ends his turn. As he did, the swords of light soon disappeared. Allowing Kagemarus's monsters to be freed.

"It's my turn I draw!" Red Hat draws.

"I play Monster Reborn to bring back Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning!" As Red Hat was about to summon his monster back.
"Don't be naive, go counter trap! Magic Jammer! By discarding a card. Your spell card is negated and destroyed!" Kagemaru discards his card, then a seal appears below the Monster Reborn spell card and was destroyed. "Don't think I didn't know what you were trying to do. You were planning to slowly banish my Sacred Beasts, so I wouldn't be able to fight back."
Red Hat grit his teeth and took a step back.
"I knew that's what you were trying. Don't think I don't know your strategies? Why else would I sent that clone to fight you." Kagemaru said. This caught Red Hat's attention.
"Wait... you sent that clone to fight me how?!" Red Hat demanded.
"Mwhaha, if you really want to know, then I'll tell you." Kagemaru continued. "When Amnael obtain a small DNA sample from someone, I just knew who it was. Someone you know all too well Red Hat. The very person you grew fond of."
"What on earth is he talking about?" Bastion asked.
"It's a long story Bastion." replied Jaden.
"I knew how much she meant to you Red Hat. So Amnael and I created a Humunculous copy of her, though with no memories of who she was. That copy we sent with data I've obtained from your previous duels and used them against you. Don't you see Red Hat, you are nothing but a pawn in my games. I knew I had to torment you, that way you cave in and give up. However, that wasn't enough and you somehow defeated my copy. You are an anomaly Red Hat. Someone with great power can't possibly exist." Kagemaru explained.
Red Hat growled and gritted his teeth in anger. "So you were the one to create a clone to try and break me down. I'll destroy you for getting her involved."
"What if I told you this Red Hat. You were never meant to exist in this world!" Kagemaru exclaimed.
"What are you on about!?" Red Hat questioned.
"Simple, your an anomaly to everyone else. Your dueling, the way plan out strategies, strategies not many can hope to come up with. You indirectly influenced many people without you knowing it!"
"What... what are you talking about?" Red Hat asked confused.
"You didn't think dueling with such strategies as a child didn't just disappear. The pros figured out many more things after you just disappeared from the tournament scene. You left them behind, and thats how many more came to use more strategies then what they could before!"
"Enough nonsense! I refused to believe I cause this influx of evolution to dueling!" Red Hat retorted.
"You are nothing more then a simpleton. You were never meant to exist and yet you do. Do you not ralize, you had a bigger influence then you thought." Kagemaru accused. "Your existence is why dueling changed so drastically. Why so many more had to adapt to changing game state."
"I refuse to believe that..." Red Hat denied.
"You want to deny the reality." Kagemaru mocked. "You, really don't know do you. You weren't supposed to exist. The darkness, knows your existence wasn't meant to be. Your existence created such a leap in dueling skill. It's the reason you surpass others, while others fal very behind. Face it your existence is nothing more then a lie."
"SHUT UP! I won't listen to your babble any longer! I'll destroy you here and now! I'll toss another facedown and end my turn!" Red Hat ends his turn.

"Then so be it. Your anger is only making the beasts stronger!" More spirits and energy was being absorbed into Kagemaru and the Sacred Beasts. Hamon launched a mighty roar. "It's time I finished you off. It's my turn I draw!" Kagemaru draws.

"I play the quick play spell Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy the facedown you set the last turn!" Powerful winds destroyed the facedown card, revealing to be Bottomless Trap Hole. "I'll use Fallen Paradise to draw 2 more cards." Kagemaru draws his cards. "Now I summon another Newdoria onto the field. (Atk: 1200 Def: 1000)" Another field like creature appeard. "Now I tribute all three fiend monsters on my field to special summon the last Sacred Beast! BEHOLD! Raviel, Lord of Phantasms! (Atk: 4000 Def: 4000)" The ground exploded once again behind Kagemaru, sending more chunks of rock into the air. Raviel appeared with a mighty roar.
"Go trap card! Threatening Roar! with this, you can't conduct your battle phase this turn!" Red Hat announced as a power roar appeared forcing the Sacred Beasts to stop in their place.
"You only bought yourself one turn. I set this card facedown and end my turn!" Kagemaru ends his turn.

"When I take you down in this Shadow duel. Not only will I gain your power of chaos, but I'll also be to gain the power to control spirits!" Kagemaru spoke, staring straight at Red Hat. "I'll release the three Sacred Beasts, and by absorbing the life energy of duel monsters from around the world... I'll be sworn eternal life!"
"So then, if Red Hat loses this duel..." Chazz trailed off.
"It would mean, the annihilation of duel monsters." Zane filled in.
"I won't let you get away with harming duel monsters or my friends!" Red Hat said.
"If you are able to do something, then please do. You have nothing on your field. I countered many of your strategies. What will you do now?" Kagemaru question, clearly mocking him.
"I'll keep fighting. Boku no Turn!" Red Hat draws.

'Aussa?' Red Hat thought as he drew his 'partner'.
Aussa appeared next to him, but a bit shaken because of the Sacred Beast being nearby. 'Is this how you'll lose?' Aussa glared at him. 'Your anger is only making him stronger. Do you not realize, he's absoring your duel energy. That's what he wants. He's trying to provoke you, to get you angry and absorb more of your duel energy.'
"Wait is that's what he's doing..." Red Hat muttered.
'Ever heard of the phase, Move on and let go of the past. Your dwelling on the past and resenting the past will only make you weaker. If you lose this duel, then everything will truely be gone, then you have nothing left to fight for.'
"Aussa..." Red Hat stuttered for a bit, before continuing. "I play Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2." Red Hat draws his cards and discards Magician of Faith and Jinzo. 'Wait, I just drew Banner's card... Should I use it?'
'That is for you to figure out. Calm down, and focus. Otherwise the card won't respond to you.' Aussa said.
'Very well.' Red Hat takes a deep breath and calms down. Soon he imagines the card. The image changed and shown what it was replaced by. 'I see, thanks Banner, you too Aussa.'

Red Hat: 1600 - 800 LP
"I'll play the spell Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards and discard 2." Red Hat draws his cards and discards Metamorphosis and Dark Hole. Banner's card returned to his hand.
"Just in case you try any funny business. I'll activate the trap card, The Transmigraition Prophecy! This card two cards from either graveyard back to the owners decks! With this I'll return your Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning and your Jinzo!" Red Hat graveyard glowed bright yellow and both cards were ejected from his grave and returned to his deck.
"Great, now I have to draw more or it's game over." Red Hat muttered.
"Don't think I didn't know what you were doing. Now with out a dark monster in your graveyard. You can't summon another chaos monster." Kagemaru pointed out.
"Don't think I'm done." Red Hat concentrated on the card. The card's image changed. "I'll play another Graceful Charity! I draw 3 cards ad then discard 2." Red Hat draws his cards and discards Tsukiyomi and Solemn Judgment. The card returns to Red Hat's hand. "I summon Familiar Possessed - Aussa in attack mode! (Atk: 1850 Def: 1500)" The powered up charmer appears on the field, twirling her staff and does a fighting stance.
Red Hat: 800 - 400 LP
'So you want me on the field. This is your last chance. Make it count' Aussa stated as she turned to face Red Hat.
"Raviel effect, since you normal summoned a monster I get a Phantasm token! (Atk: 1000 Def: 1000)" A smaller version of Raviel appeared and crossed it's arms.
"Big woop, I'll still keep going." Red Hat concentrates and the card changed again. "I'll activate Graceful Charity one more time! I draw 3 cards then I discard 2." Red Hat takes a deep breath before drawing. 'If I don't draw the cards needed, then game over...' Red Hat lightly chuckled. 'Is this what they call destiny draw?' Red Hat drew his cards and discarded Torrential Tribute and Last Will. Red Hat smiled.
Red Hat: 400 - 200 LP
"What are you smiling about?" Kagemaru asked.
"You want chaos power I'll give you chaos power! I banish Zaborg and Tsukiyomi to special summon, Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End! (Atk: 3000 Def: 2500)" The sky darkens further as the mighty chaos dragon descends from the skies and let's out a mighty roar, followed by multiple bolts of lightning.
"Hold on? Red Hat has such a card?" Zane questioned.
"Incredible monster..." Bastion added.
"No way that dork has such a card." Chazz scoffed.
"Red Hat, just how much do you have in that deck." Alexis noted.
Aussa in spirit form, look up to see the dragon. 'Never in my entire existance, I thought I would ever see the Chaos Emperor Dragon this close in flesh.'
"So what? As powerful as that chaos dragon is, you still doesn't have enough power to destroy the beasts. You also lack the life points to pay to use for his effect." Kagemaru pointed out.
"Have you been paying attention? If you were, then you'll know what I'm about to do. I play the spell card Sabatiel the Philosopher's Stone! With this I target Chaos Emperor Dragon and his attack is multipled by the number monsters on your field. Since you have 3 monsters Chaos Emperor Dragon attack points becomes 9000! (Atk: 3000 - 9000 Def: 2500)" Chaos Emperor Dragon emits a might roar as it's power increased and grew in size.
"So what? I'll still have life points! Even if you destory Hamon or Raviel, I'll still find a way to come back from your battle." Kagemaru pointed out.
"Ever heard of the phrase, life points don't matter? As long as you have 1 life point left, you're still in the duel. I play the Equip spell Megamorph! I don't like playing equips not named Premature Burial, but I got no choice. Needless to say, I equip it to Chaos Emperor Dragon and double his attack even more since I have less LP then you! (Atk: 9000 - 18000 Def: 2500)" The chaos dragon grew in size, even larger then the Sacred Beasts themselves and let our a powerful roar.
Kagemaru's eyes widened at the power boost. "18000 attack points!"
"It's over Kagemaru! First up, Aussa destroy his Phantasm Token! Get in on the action!" Red Hat ordered.
'Don't mind if I do.' Aussa nodded and smiled at him, before launching a brown energy ball from her staff, at the Phantasm token.
"Chaos Emperor Dragon, attack and destroy Hamon! Chaos Flame of Destruction!" The chaos dragon launched a powerful blast of flames filed with dark and light energy that engulfed Hamon, as the beast roared in pain.
Kagemaru: 9300 - 0 LP
"Impossible!" Hollered Kagemaru, falling to his knees. "I can't lose! Not to you! The Sacred Beasts can't be defeated! NOOOO!" All holograms vanished, including Raviel, who roared weakly as small light orbs left it's body before it was gone.
The barrier surrounding Red Hat soon disappeared as Kagemaru's shadow charm shattered.
The sky returned to normal as the spectators cheered at Red Hat's victory. Red Hat didn't feel like celebrating however. He was just glad this mess was finally over. Jaden walked up to him, to congratulate him. Both of them stared at Kagemaru. The man's body glowed as the remaining light orbs he took flew out of his body and back into the air.
Back in a certain shop, the two small boys who were devastated at the cards disappearing, were now watching them return to normal.
"Whoa!"
"They're back to normal!"
"Whoa! Look, brother..." Jagger said as the cards he and his brother kept in the briefcase returned to normal.
"My precious parallel-rare cards, they're coming back." Slade commented.
And Blair was relieved when her cards came back.
"They're back to normal. The nightmare is over. Thank you... Jaden and Red Hat." She said in relief.
Chazz watched as the skeleton of his annoying spirit regained its flesh. The yellow spirit woke up and laughed. "You're back!"
Ojama yellow popped out of the card and landed on Chazz's shoulder. 'Aw, you're ain't ever gonna get rid of me, Boss!'
Jaden and Red Hat looked at Banner's card, which wasstill glowing. "What a card." Jaden and Red Hat muttered. As the disappeared into a group of tiny lights, Banner's soft laughter filed their ears. "I won't forget you, Professor Banner." Jaden said.
"Banner, you'll always have my respect. Thank you for everything." Red Hat added, looking up to the sky. He then nticed something strange happening to Kagemaru and Jaden rushed over to him. He stayed back not wanting to get involved.
"Kagemaru, are you..." JAden tried to ask, but the chairman of Duel Academy suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs as a bright blue light shot out from his body into the air, and his hair became more and more gray, and his body more and more shriveled.
"Dear me..." Sheppard muttered.
"Huh?! What is this!?" Bastion, Syrus and Chumley asked at the same time.
Kagemaru slowly turned his old, shriveled head to Jaden and Red Hat who was farther away. "This is my... true form... I wanted to feel young again... Whenever I saw the young, like you all in particular... I would wish to regain my youth one more time at all costs."
"Gramps..." Jaden muttered as he got closer to Kagemaru.
'I have no idea what to say.' Red Hat thought as he observed the scene.
"Without the power of the Sacred Beasts, I can't even manage to stand!" Kagemaru reached up and grabbed Jaden's arm.
"What are you talking about? You're still in good shape, gramps. Don't say whimpy stuff like not being able to stand. Just try your best to do it by using your own strength." Jaden said, forgiving the old man.
"By using my own strength?" Kagemaru weezed.
"Try your best , gramps, and stand on your own two feet." Jaden insisted. "Without relying on stuff like the Sacred Beasts, and with your own strength."
Kagemaru slowly began to rise, staggering here and there. Once he did, he was seen wobbling because of his old physical body and not being used to physical activity. When he let go of Jaden, he stumbled around, but managed to stand on his own feet. He looked down at himself. "I... I was able to stand!"
Jaden smiled at this. Red Hat looked away and puled his hat down further hiding a weak smile. Not wanting to admit this scene was a bit silly.
"I might have been able to regain my zeal and life energy by battling you and that boy in the red hat." He approached Jaden.
"You did it gramps!" Jaden replied and gave the old man a tight hug. Unfortunately, that hug was to tight for the old man, who yelped in pain as the sound of some broken bones was heard.
"Ouch, that's going to hurt badly." Red Hat noted, sweat droping at the exchange.
A short while later, everyone watched as Kagemaru was now lying in a bed, carried away by a helicopter.
"I wonder if Chairman Kagemaru is alright?" Alexis asked.
"Well, after all, when the aged exert themselves, their energy seems to drop because of it." Jaden said.
"Hmph!" Chazz scoffed. "All he's done so far was some pretty awful stuff! That's why he's suffering the consequences!"
"Later, Kagemaru!" Jaden called out as he and Syrus waved to him.
"Get well soon... I guess..." Syrus added, a little unsure.
Sheppard watched the helicopter leave and then looked at the Sacred Beast cards he gathered. "Next time." He then walked over to the strange device the cards came from earlier. "I'll make sure that these won't be taken by anyone else." As soon as he placed the cards ack in their place, the box closed up and disappeared under the earth. The giant stone pillars around them slid back into the earth as well, the island is back to normal.
"The threat of the three Sacred Beasts has really left us now, hasn't it?" Jaden questioned.
"It sure has." Syrus replied.
"All that remains are the Promotion Exams that are held next week, are they not?" Crowler said, suspiciously happy for some reason.
"Promotion Exams!?" Jaden gasped with a look of sheer terror on his face.
"Yes." Crowler confirmed, enjoying Jaden's reaction.
"I totally forgot!" Jaden got down on the ground in despair.
"It's not that bad, Jaden." Red Hat assured him, trying to comfort him.
"Easy for you to say." Jaden dead panned at what Red Hat just said.
Chazz shook his head. "Pathetic..."
Atticus smiled in amusement while strumming his ukulele. "It looks like those are the biggest threats to Jaden, don't you think?"
"That's just like Jaden." Bastion said.
"It sure is." Alexis agreed.
Red Hat decided to help Jaden up. "Come on Jaden, get up." Jaden soon pulled himself together. "I'll even help you study for those exam."
"I hate studying!" Jaden replied with a down look.
"Come on, don't act like that." Red Hat assured him. "Besides, let's head back to the dorm."
As the two began walking away from the gang. "Can I copy your test answers Red Hat?" Jaden asked.
"And let you fail by proxy? I don't think so. Come on first one to the dorm gets everyone else is lunch." Red Hat began running.
Jadem smiled and caught up to him. "You're on! I'm serious though about copying your answers."
"We'll see Jaden!" Red Hat and Jaden both run off leaving the rest behind.
Later that night in the chancellors office, while Sheppard was working on some paper work. Red Hat soon enetered his office, holding a folder filled with papers.
"Oh, Red Hat, didn't expet you to show up tonight at my office." Sheppard looked up to face Red Hat. "What can I do for you?"
"I'm here to deliver the long over due essay." Red Hat hands him the folder of papers. "Even wrote more pages then what was needed."
Sheppard takes the folder and places it in his briefcase. "Excellent work Red Hat. Now, as you already know. you are now free from you detention since the Shadow Riders and Kagemaru have been defeated. Now I hope you earned your lesson and don't pull those stunts again. Am I clear?"
"Yes, of course Chancellor." Red Hat replied.
"Very well, you're dismissed. Now do your best in the upcoming week Red Hat." Sheppard gave a soft smile. "I just know you'll bring inresults for the freshmen class."
Red Hat smiled at that. "I'll do my best Chancellor. Thank you." Red Hat then left Sheppard's office. Glad to know his punishment was finally over.
Red Hat walked along the forest road, back to his dorm after turning in all his work. 'Least now, things will go back to normal. Who knows what else will happen in the future. Least for the school anyway.' He thought as returned to his room and continuouing his usual routine... sleeping in unless he was forced to wake up because of classes.
A/N:I wanted this to be accurate to Tag Force 1. There you have to duel Kagemaru twice. So I decided on Jaden duel machine Kagemaru, while Red Hat duels young powered up Kagemaru, instead of 2 vs 1 duel like everyone else. This kind of scenario won't be the only time it's happening, just not in this sense. Using the in real life Sacred Beasts was a bit tricky to use, since their summoning condition is obnoxious and their effects are slightly weaker. Fallen Paradise anime and Tag Force version is if you control a Sacred Beast you draw 2 cards once per turn. The real version was not printed until many years later giving them protection. Sabatiel was the anime version. I I said I wasn't going to use anime cards. But for this duel the card disappears anyway. Tag Force version is almost identical too. The real version is a Jaden reference and nerfed to the ground. If the duels feel to short, may I remind you after observing the anime duel version, Jaden would have won faster if he played differently.
A/N 2: The reason it's called Evlution is cause I'm using real cards and buffed character decks while sticking to their overall themes with some liberties. I say this cause I really do not like it when characters have no removal in the anime besides battle. Which is the most counter intuitive way to destroy monsters. I'll say again, anime does not care about banlist so multiples are allowed, least for villains. Some things added cause why 's all for now. I'll see you around.
