Having Raquel and Zelina come to stay at Eagle's Nest was something Erin had been looking forward to for the past few days. She had made the offer on Monday, it had been accepted on Tuesday, and arrangements had quickly been made for the visit to take place on Friday, with the guests heading back home on Sunday. Erin had made sure to only be at the office for a couple of hours that morning. Leaving early on a Friday if needed was one perk of being the boss.
Erin had left the electronic gates at the bottom of the driveway open, so it didn't surprise her when Jay spoke to her from the kitchen, where he was looking out of the window while brewing coffee.
"They're here, honey. Unless someone else just showed up in an Uber."
Erin laughed as she got up from the couch. "I think we can rule that out. This is something I've been looking forward to. We don't spend enough time with these guys."
"We don't. Maybe we should buy a place in Florida?"
"Maybe we should. The problem is we'd hardly use it, since I need to be up here for the office."
"True. It would be a nice place to have a vacation spot though. Christ, listen to me. Never thought I'd hear myself talking about buying a second home for vacations."
"You've earned your money, Jay. There's no harm in spending it. Do you want to go help them with their cases?"
"Of course."
Erin waited inside the house, ready to greet the guests, while Jay went out to help them. Moments later, Zelina was the first to walk in. She was wrapped up warm in a thick but stylish black coat and matching scarf. The winter wear somehow still made her look glamorous. She was on of those people who seemed to look great in everything she wore. The first thing that Erin noticed though, was that Zelina was wearing bright red leather gloves. They made her feel excited immediately, and part of her wondered if Zelina had a glove fetish too. She seemed to wear them a lot. Erin told herself not to think about it. She had hurts Jay's feelings by going down that road once already.
"Hey, Erin. It's great to be back here again. I'll never get tired of that view. Unbelievable."
"Z. Great to have you here," Erin said warmly as they hugged. "It is breath-taking, huh? We're lucky to call this our home."
"Yeah, but it's so cold. No one should live this far north," Raquel joked as she came through the door. She was wearing jeans and an even thicker coat, looking more like a six foot eskimo than her glamorous partner. She had no gloves on though. "Hey, Erin."
"Hey, mami. We're not all from south Texas, where you feel comfortable if it's a million degrees," Erin joked back, before they hugged each other. "Right, guys, make yourselves at home. I hope you remember your bikinis?"
"We remembered them. But for what?" Zelina asked.
Erin grinned. "You'll find out."
Erin hadn't wanted to stay in the house for the entire two days of Raquel and Zelina's visit. That had seemed like a terrible way to host. Jay had made a good suggestion for something to do after lunch on the first day. Zelina and Raquel enjoyed hiking in their spare time. The valley below Eagle's Nest was ideal for that, and there was a route that Jay knew, which took about two hours. They would be back at the house well before darkness fell. Jay had asked Raquel to make sure they brought hiking boots.
Something Erin had wanted to be sure to do was have a one on one chat with Zelina. It would be their first since the shooting down in Texas. Erin wanted to check that her friend and employee was really doing okay after the traumatic event.
Allowing Jay and Raquel to walk ahead, discussing the route they were going to take as they descended the valley, Erin hung back a little and Zelina fell in step with her. She had the red leather gloves on again, which Erin just couldn't ignore. She had black ones of her own on, but Zelina's were extra appealing.
"How did your first week in charge go?" Zelina asked.
"Very busy. A lot of stress," Erin admitted. "I won't bore you with details. Let's just say there has been a lot to do. Leaving early today won't have helped, but to hell with it. I feel like maybe all four of us needed this."
Zelina walked behind Erin for a moment as the trail narrowed between some trees. "For real. This week has been tough. I've not been sleeping well. Don't think mami has either. She's got a recurring night terror about me getting shot by that asshole."
Erin nodded. "She told me about that, before I offered counselling on behalf of WWE. Either one of you should feel free to take up that offer. Personally, I think you both should, but it's up to you."
"Thank you. I don't think we need it though. It's just time to get over it that we need."
"So, how are you handling it all? It's clearly on your mind a lot."
Zelina sighed. "It is. It was a scary situation. But also I saw what mami can do. Her army training took over and she just dropped the son of a bitch. I'm sure you've seen the CCTV footage."
"I have," Erin concerned. "She dealt with it swiftly and calmly, there's no doubt about that."
"She's a real badass, yet she's so sensitive and loving when it's just the two of us. I love her so much, Erin. I've been thinking about proposing, and also maybe one day I'd like to ask her about adopting a child. Being a parent is something I've always wanted. There's no doubt in my mind that Raquel would make a great parent too."
"A good mami," Erin said, giggling. "You guys should look into it, if Raquel wants to. As for proposing? Hell yeah, do it."
"The only reason I haven't is I suspect mami is going to propose to me soon. It's just a feeling I've got. If I'm right, I want to let her do it the way she wants. And of course I will say yes."
"Aw, good for you," Erin gushed, smiling warmly at her friend. "We're not going to have a double wedding though, let's make sure we're clear on that."
Zelina laughed. "Oh, we are agreed."
Up ahead, Jay and Raquel had stopped to wait, realising that they had been leaving Erin and Zelina behind.
"Come on, Z, move those little legs," Jay called in good humour.
"I'm not going to stop her kicking your ass," Raquel said loudly, and everyone laughed.
That night, Erin was going to introduce their guests to her new favourite evening relaxation experience – using the hot tub in the winter. She was the first one into the tub, with Jay in the house fixing drinks for everyone, and Raquel and Zelina getting changed in the bedroom they were using.
It wasn't long before Raquel emerged onto the deck. "I'm in New York, in winter, outside, in a bikini. What the hell, Erin? Z's gone to the bathroom by the way."
Erin giggled at the faux protests. "If you stop whining at get in here faster, you won't get cold. Trust me, you're going to enjoy this. Jay's opening a bottle of wine. There's also beer if you'd like."
"That does sound nice. Do you have tequila?" Raquel asked.
Erin watched the tall, muscular woman climb into the tub. She felt slightly jealous of the height, and even more jealous of the body. Despite Jay often telling her how gorgeous she was, Erin considered herself decidedly average in appearance. Both Raquel and Zelina were remarkable, for differing reasons.
"Ah, that really is nice," Raquel said as she settled down in the nice warm tub. "I'll give it to you, Erin, you were right about the winter hot tub thing. Or maybe I'm just at home in water? Z says I'm half human, half fish. Not sure if that's a compliment," she added, laughing.
"No, me either," Erin grinned. "You are at home in the water though, huh? One day I'm going to get a story out of you about something you did when you were an army diver."
"Honestly, I can't talk about most of it. That's not just something I say to get out of it, it's true."
"Alright, without giving me any specifics, what's the scariest thing you did?"
"Nothing scared me. That's why I was good at the job. But if you mean what might you have been scared of if you had to do it, I had to deploy out of a submarine's torpedo tube one time. Me and another diver on a two person op, one in each torpedo tube."
"Army divers on a submarine?"
"It was a joint operation. Can't say more than that."
"Wait, you said a torpedo tube?" Erin said, only now processing it. "You were in something that small, in your scuba gear?"
"Yep. Getting in there was the hardest part."
"So it was dark in there, and full of water? With no room to move?"
"Right. I was in there for a couple of minutes like that."
"Jesus, Raquel. That's horrifying." Erin said, but she was now remembering the full face scuba mask that Raquel had shown her one day at her home. It had turned Erin on, although she didn't even fully understand why. Her best guess what that it was an extension of her rubber fetish, thinking about having the rubber seals around her face. "What's scuba diving like? I've never tried it."
Jay come out onto the deck then, interrupting to conversation. Erin felt bad again, reminding herself that her fetishes were something she needed to only talk to her man about. Sometimes her brain ran away with itself and she couldn't help it.
Jay was carrying a tray with the drinks on, which he sat down on the rim of the hot tub. He had brought the wine, glasses, and a few bottles of beer. Erin bit her bottom lip as she eyed him up, dressed only in blue swimming shorts. Despite not being able to fully work out for some time due to his injury, his body was still in incredible shape. She got even more turned on, wanting to go back in the house with him for some quick and sloppy sex. But no, not when they had guests.
"Here we go, guys. I'll pour for you. Wine, honey? Or is that a silly question?"
Erin chuckled. "You know it is. Thank you, honey. Raquel asked if we have tequila. I think we do, right?"
"If not, beer is fine," Raquel said in a relaxed tone.
Zelina finally appeared. She had a green bikini on. Erin looked at her small but well-toned body. Her abs in particular were unbelievable, making Erin jealous again. Her body had never and would never look like that, she thought glumly. She was being hit with a lot of self-critical thoughts, as well as sexual ones. In truth, all of them were unwanted. Relaxing and having a good time was all she wanted to do.
"Hey. Sorry about that," Zelina said. "A bottle of wine for me and beer for you guys? That how we rolling?"
"Not exactly," Jay said, enjoying the humour. "Have a beer, Raquel. I'll go back in and look for the tequila in a bit if that's okay? I need to get my ass in that hot water."
"Works for me," Raquel said, taking the beer bottle he offered her.
"Z?" he asked.
"I'll take wine, please."
Jay poured, then gave a glass to Zelina, followed by one for Erin, who was impressed. She had taught him some basic hosting skills during their time together, such as serving guests first. It made Erin happy. What he had just done was a small thing, but it was symbolic of all the personal progress he had made since they had met. It never ceased to make her proud and happy.
Jay took his own bottle of beer last, and settled into the tub. "Ah, that's nice. What's the toast we do? To good times with good people."
"That's the one," Zelina said, and all four glasses and bottles clinked together over the centre of the tub.
"Erin, I hate to do this, but it's been on my mind the past couple of days," Raquel said. "There's something I'd like to do, but it's your decision. Clem mentioned she's going to be returning at the Raw in Chicago, and we're going to continue our rivalry. I have no idea what you had in mind for that night, but I'd like to drop the Women's Championship to Clem."
Erin narrowed her eyes. She didn't want to talk about work, but now her interest was piqued. Or, more accurately, her curiosity was. "You're telling me you want to lose the title to Clem?" She noticed that Jay looked like he understood where Raquel was coming from and respected it. Erin still needed the blanks filling in.
"Yes. It would be an amazing moment, one that would be remembered for a long time. But that's not why I want to do it. It's because Clem has lost to me so many times while I've been champion. She's never given me a word of complaint, she's been constructive and helpful with putting matches together, and I've learned so much from her. I owe that girl a lot, and I want to give her something back. Let me drop the title to Clem, and give her a moment in her home town that she'll remember forever. Please."
Erin nodded slowly, appreciating what she had just heard. "I've heard you, and I respect your attitude. Let me consider it."
A/N: Do you think Erin should grant Raquel's request to lose the Women's Championship to Clementine?
