I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon and Jurassic Park/World belongs to Universal.
The storm had left the next day, leaving behind a nice clear day with the sun shinning down through the redwood trees. Lincoln and Clyde weren't paying attention to this morning sunshine as last night's video game session had left them utterly exhausted, so exhausted that they were still asleep, while the other campers are up and about.
It had been much later in the morning when they finally stirred from their sleep. Groggily they opened up their eyes to the bright sunshine which made them groan, letting out a yawn and a short stretch, they both got out of bed and slowly walked into the bathroom to get themselves dressed along with doing their routine hygiene.
They Exited the bathroom and reentered the bunk room to dump their pajamas in their bags. Clyde does another stretch that is fallowed by another long, hard yawn. "Man, maybe that late night video game session wasn't such a great idea after all."
"It was worth it though, especially when we creamed that other team." Lincoln stated with a smile as he remembered that awesome power move they did to finish off the other team during the match.
"I hope we're not too tired to participate in today's activity." Clyde worriedly stated.
"Don't worry Clyde, all we need to do is eat some breakfast and then we'll be golden." The boys head for the main room and to their surprise it was empty.
"Hello? Darius? Ben? Sammy? Is anyone here?" Lincoln called out to the empty room that didn't give them any sort of response. "Where is everyone? Did they leave without us?" Clyde worriedly asked.
Lincoln then notices a crumbled up piece of paper on the floor and picked it up. "I don't think so Clyde." Uncrumbling the paper, it turned out that it was a note that Lincoln proceeded to read through.
"What's it say?" Clyde asked.
"It says that Dave and Roxie have went out to talk with their boss, and that everyone should stay put."
Clyde looked around the room again. "Clearly not everyone fallowed that instruction."
"Yeah, I wondered where everyone went?" Lincoln stepped outside of the balcony to try and spot on where the others could be?
"Maybe they went to hang out in the other cabins." Clyde suggested.
"Why would they do that?"
Clyde shrugged. "I don't know, it was just a suggestion. I mean where else could they be?" A loud crash from somewhere nearby makes the boys jump a inch from the ground, they both looked back out from the balcony, trying to see what caused that crashing sound.
"What was that?" Clyde asked in panic.
"I don't know Clyde, but only one way to find out." Lincoln and Clyde quickly ran over to the elevator to do some good old Ace Savvy investigating.
Reaching ground level, the two took notice that the place was very quiet and it just wasn't from human activity as the birds were also very silent. This uncanny silence very unsettled the boys for there was no reason for camp to be this silent.
"Did everyone just leave or something?"
"Don't worry Clyde, I'm sure there's someone around here. Besides they must've went to check out on whatever made that crash." Lincoln looked to the right. "Which I think was this way."
"Wait?" Clyde now realized something. "Isn't that where the zip-line tower is?" Lincoln thought about it and realized that Clyde is right. Now they were doubly curious on what ever happened out here. They quickly began to head out in the direction of that crash, the two didn't get far though when they suddenly felt something that made them stop in their tracks, it felt like a vibration that went through them.
"Did you feel that?" Lincoln asked Clyde.
"Yes" Clyde replied.
They feel another vibration that rang up from their feet, then the sound of a branch breaking from their right makes them look in that general direction. They couldn't see anything in the jungle, but they had the great feeling that they were being watched by something.
"Maybe we should head back to camp." Clyde nervously suggested for he had a bad feeling, and he wasn't the only one as Lincoln had the feeling to. "Yeah, that's probably a good idea. "The boys quickly backtrack the way they came with the feeling of being watched still being there, as well as now having the feeling that they were being fallowed.
Reaching the outskirts of camp, they were met with a male, Jurassic World worker who looked frantic upon seeing them out in the open. "What are you kids doing out here! You need to get inside somewhere right now!"
"Why? What's going on?" Lincoln asked in panic for something was happening.
"There's an asset out of containment!" The worker told them, which greatly alarmed the two boys for they knew what an asset is.
"Hum, this asset wouldn't be a herbivore by any chance, right?" Clyde nervously asked with a slow chuckle.
They then hear heavy footsteps approaching, looking quickly behind them the boys stood frozen as a white dinosaur, that walked on two legs, had long arms with hands that had claws at the end, red eyes, and a month full of sharp teeth came rushing at them as it bursted out of the jungle.
Lincoln's and Clyde's reactions were immediate, they bursted into a run while the worker stood there in fright for a second. That lost second was all it took for the dinosaur to pick him up as he turned to run, she held him like a hot dog as he screamed from within her grasp. Lincoln and Clyde winched when they heard the sicking crunch that snubbed out the scream. They didn't dare look back as they ran, from behind them the dinosaur loudly roared as it stomped right after them.
"Hurry Clyde! Into the elevator!"
"I'm hurrying!"
The two reached the elevator doors, Lincoln slammed his hand against the button, while Clyde fearfully looked back as the dinosaur stomped closer to them. At last the elevator doors open and immediately the boys jumped into it, the dinosaur's foot slammed down in front of them just as the doors closed.
"It's outside the elevator!" Clyde practically shouted in Lincoln's ears.
"I know Clyde, but we should be safe once we get into the cabin." The whole elevator then shook before it could move up, they couldn't see what was going on. But from outside the indominus rex grabbed hold of the elevator tube, letting out a roar she uses her strength to tear the tube out of the tree, and push it down to the left.
The result of this chaos is immediate as since the tube is connected to the cabin above, the whole cabin comes down and smashed apart after it crashed to the ground, tearing apart a bridge along with it. Inside the elevator that now had it's top bent inwards from the crashing tube, Lincoln just kept pushing the button to go up, which will never happen again.
The indominus meanwhile looked at the destruction she has caused, taking a step towards the wreckage, she gets down on her hands and sniffed around it, trying to pick up the scent of anyone that could've been in the cabin. She didn't pick up anything yet, but her ears did pick up the sound of a motor. Looking over towards the bridge, she saw those tin cans that humans liked to drive around in pulling up. Letting out a roar that stopped the vehicle in its tracks, she charges towards it, while stomping through the rock made logo.
The jeep turned only halfway when the indominus slammed into it with her head. The force from that impact flipped the jeep onto its back with such force that it broke the neck of the driver.
Seeing how they weren't going anywhere, Lincoln opened up the elevator doors which revealed the indominus with her back turned to them as she sniffed the jeeps front wheel. Not daring to say anything so that they wouldn't get her attention, they tip toed out of the elevator and went off towards the right, towards the jungle.
They about make it to the tree line, when the indominus suddenly turned her head in their direction. Letting out a scream, Lincoln and Clyde raced into the jungle. The indominus roars, pushes the jeep aside like a toy and goes in pursuit, breaking any trees that was in her way. The boys duck under a fallen tree that's hanging against another tree, the indominus smashes through it by stomping it with her foot. They make turns and the indominus fallows without loosing sight of them. The two make another turn next to a large tree and quickly hid themselves in a hole on the base of the tree.
Breathing heavily from the fear they felt, they listened to the indominus's footsteps that drew closer until it stopped just outside. They quietly listen to the dinosaur's growls as it searched for them, letting out a angry roar, the white foot stomps down in front of the hole then lifted up out of sight, fallowed by fading footsteps.
After a few minutes Clyde finally spoke up in a whisper. "Is it gone?"
"I don't know, I'll check." Slowly Lincoln pokes his head out from the hole, looking around he doesn't see anything. Stepping out and walking four feet from the hole, he looked in the direction the indominus have went, to his relief he doesn't see no sign of it. "Alright it's gone."
Trusting his friend, Clyde comes out from the hole slowly. "Phew, that was close."
Breathing in to catch their breaths from all the running they endure, it took a second before they could speak. "What in the world was that thing?" Clyde question in-between pants.
"I don't know Clyde, but at least we lost it." Lincoln replied. They suddenly felt a great vibration that came from behind them, they fearfully looked back and ran forward as the indominus's mouth snapped on where they had just stood a second ago. The indominus had used her camouflage ability to hide herself in the jungle and simply waited until the boys revealed themselves from where they were hiding.
Now out in the open again, the boys were once again on the run through the jungle. The indominus fallows closely, she lunges forward to snap up both boys, but misses as they made an abrupt turn, making her land on her hands. The indominus let's out an enrage roar as she continues on with the chase.
"What are we going to do Lincoln?" Clyde cried.
"Just keep running! We gotta loose it eventually!" With another roar from the indominus, the boys screamed and picked up the paste. They tried everything to loose her, but the indominus just wasn't giving up on the chase, it was bad because soon the two would drop from exhaustion and the indominus will snatch them up with no problem.
Eventually they exited out of the jungle and into the grassy plain where they stopped in their tracks as in front of them is the triceratops herd and the matriarch that let's out an angry bellow from the sudden newcomers. The indominus crashes out through the trees, she stops in surprise upon seeing the new prey in front of her.
Seeing the greater threat, the matriarch ignores Lincoln and Clyde and instead shakes her head aggressively in a warning for the predator to back down. The indominus instead gets on her hands, letting out a loud roar that made Lincoln and Clyde cover their ears. After the sound died down, Lincoln realized the trouble they were in and quickly pulled Clyde as well as himself away from the middle of these two giants.
The two charge at each other; the indominus sidesteps to the right from the charging horn dinosaur, the matriarch thrusts her horns up, gazing the predator's side with her right horn. The indominus lunges and bites down on the thrill which broke off some of her teeth, the indominus let's go and backed away as the matriarch turned to her and thrusts her horns towards the indominus's neck. The indominus then stepped forward and gripped the matriarch's horns, she held on as the matriarch struggled to get out of the grip. With her strength the indominus slammed the matriarch to the ground with a thud, she held the matriarch down, then bites down hard on the neck killing the matriarch who let out a low moan.
The indominus let's go of the fallen matriarch's neck and looked to the rest of the herd with a vicious glare.
Lincoln and Clyde ran deep into another part of the jungle, they didn't stop running until they got to a series of palm tree. Knowing that this time they really did loose the indominus, the boys fell to the ground with exhaustion. That was in no doubt the most time they had ever ran in their lives, it was going to be awhile before they could get back up on their feet.
"Alright... I... Think we lost that thing this time." Lincoln panted.
"You don't think that thing has gotten Darius and the others do you?" Clyde fearfully asked.
"I hope not Clyde, I really hope not." It would be horrible if whatever that thing was ate their camper companions. They definitely didn't deserve that, so hopefully they were alright for wherever they are right now.
Lincoln and Clyde stayed laying there for a couple more minutes, until at last they regain their breath and energy to stand themselves back up, once they were up they both take a look around. "Where are we?" Clyde question.
"I have no idea." Lincoln replied.
Clyde grabbed hold of his hair, feeling absolute panic take hold of him. "Oh no, we're lost! Alone! And there's a killer, freaky dinosaur on the loose!" Clyde then grabs hold of Lincoln's shoulders and shook him. "What are we going to do!"
Calmly Lincoln took Clyde's hands off of him. "Don't worry Clyde. All we need to do is find a way to the main park and get help."
"And which way is the park?" Clyde nervously asked.
Lincoln couldn't respond for he honestly didn't know, they could be anywhere on the island, perhaps far away from the park. It wasn't the end of all hope however, they just needed to walk somewhere and they would eventually come across a building or more hopefully some workers. He just couldn't tell Clyde for he is already stressed enough with all that had happened to them earlier, so he just simply pointed in a random direction. "We go this way."
"You sure?"
"I'm positive." Lincoln lied with a smile, it made Clyde feel a little bit better though not by much. "We better get going then. I don't wanna encounter that dinosaur again." Clyde remarked.
The boys walk through the jungle, pushing away fern leafs that were in their way. Being away from everyone else made them feel small and vulnerable, it occurred to them that they may have taken their safety at camp for granted a bit. Now that what-a-saurus is somewhere around the island and its apparently smart enough to trick them out of hiding, it could be anywhere. That thing was not like any other dinosaur that they have ever seen before, they don't recall ever seeing it in a book, museum, or any dinosaur documentary, Lincoln thought that not even Lisa would know what it was.
"So do you think they're going to catch that thing?" Clyde nervously question.
"Well I mean, they got an entire team that's dedicated for capturing escaped dinosaurs, so there's a good possibility that they're in the progress of capturing that thing right now as we speak." Lincoln replied.
"I hope so, for that thing is dangerous."
They move further through the jungle, so far they haven't come across any buildings or even a trail, it was just more trees and plants. It wasn't until much later that they came across something different, in this case it was a river with rocks poking out from the water, making perfect stepping stones for them.
Hopping across, they make it to the middle when Clyde slipped and fell into the water which thankfully was shallow for him to stand on. "That was a slip up." Clyde remarked after spitting out some water like a fountain.
"At least you didn't slip at the end." Lincoln said with a chuckle, then he slipped and fell into the water as well. Sitting himself up with water dripping down his face and wiping off the water out of his hair, Lincoln silently looked at Clyde who looked back at him equally silent, they then go into a series of laughter before climbing themselves out of the water. They felt a little cold from the water, but being under the sun quickly dried them out.
"Well that was one way of getting a bath." Clyde commented.
"I preferred one with warm water, but I guess you can't complain." Lincoln shrugged, after sharing another chuckle the boys continued on through the jungle. They didn't know how much time had passed, but it was later when they finally came across a human structure, a high fence for that matter.
"Finally the perimeter fence." Lincoln exclaimed, he casually walks up to it in order to climb the fence, but got stopped by Clyde who grabbed his shoulder. "Hold on Lincoln. Aren't some of the fences on the island electrified?"
Lincoln felt himself go stiff, he completely forgotten that the fences were electrified for the more aggressive dinosaurs. If Clyde hadn't stopped him, he could've been flying back with his hair stood up. They needed to get to the other side however as the main park must surely be that way, so by grabbing a stick off the ground, Lincoln threw it at the fence expecting sparks to erupt around it, yet nothing happened.
"Looks like it's not electrified." Lincoln slowly approaches the fence and just as slowly touched the bar, cringing a bit for fully expecting to have raw electricity surge through him, but nothing happened.
"Huh, I guess they were relying on heavy steel." Clyde observed.
"That's good for us." Lincoln began to climb it, after a while Clyde fallows a lot more slowly due to his fear of heights. They eventually come down on the other side of the fence and then walked away from the fence with their hopes up on running onto a road.
"When we reach the main park, I'm going to ask if the other campers whereabouts are known."
"I hear ya Clyde. Though I'm hoping to run into Dave and Roxie over there, for they must know what to do."
"Good point." They continued on, confident that they will soon come across something and they were right, although it wasn't at all on what they had been expecting, for what they have come across is a rectangular, metal thing on the ground.
"What's this?" Lincoln question as he and Clyde stood by the rectangular thing. Clyde taps it with his foot a couple times making some bangs. "I believe it's a feeding platform."
Lincoln scratches his head with question. "Why would they have one out here?" The two boys then go wide eyed for a terrible realization came to them. "Unless that fence wasn't for the perimeter, but instead a fence for a enclosure."
"And whatever is in here most likely isn't friendly." Clyde added. As soon as he finished that sentence the sound of something walking through the vegetation came through their ears, getting closer to where they were standing.
Feeling panic overtake them, the boys quickly ran and ducked behind a tree, where they poked their heads out and watched for whatever was coming. Through the trees; the Jurassic period's most fearsome predator steps into view; an allosaurus.
The allosaurus goes up to the feeding platform, where it leans down and does a couple of sniffs. Not seeing any food on the platform the allosaurus raises herself up to her full height, letting out a soft growl she walks three steps away from the platform before laying down on her belly, she scratches her head with her claws, then laid her head down in relaxation with the sun shining down on her.
The boys knew that they had made a very huge mistake, they don't dare make a sound as the risk of attracting its attention is very high. They needed to get out of here right away, but they needed to do it very quietly, so carefully to avoid stepping on any twigs, they tip toed away from the ferocious predator of the Jurassic.
They continued to tip toe a good distance away from the allosaurus, until they felt like that they were far enough away to walk, though they kept very silent with one thing in mind; to get out of this pen right away. Luckily they knew that they will eventually come across more of the fence for the enclosure. They eventually come across a water pit for the animal that they had to wade through, the two also had to jump over a pit, as well as climbing over fallen trees. They now felt like that they were far enough away to speak, but quietly though. "How far is it to the fence? My anxiety is up through the roof."
"I think it's getting close Clyde, don't worry."
"What's there to worry about? It's not like we're inside a pen that holds a dangerous animal." Clyde sarcastically remarked, but felt instantly bad. "Sorry, was that too harsh?"
"No worries Clyde, your just scared."
Letting out a sigh, Clyde spoke up again with his head down. "This trip sure turned into a disaster hasn't it?"
Hearing this Lincoln turned his head to his friend in concern. "Don't say that Clyde."
"But it's true Lincoln. There's a killer dinosaur on the loose, camp is destroyed, we don't know where the other campers are, and now we're in a pen where that allosaurus can show up anywhere."
"True, but come on, surely things will perk up."
"That sounds like something someone would say in a story, where things will just get worse." Clyde pointed out.
"Not this time." Lincoln then suddenly pointed forward. "Look over there." It was the fence for the other part of the enclosure. Huge smiles spread across their faces for now they can get out of this enclosure.
The boys ran forward to the fence and stopped at the concrete bottom. "Alright, is this part of the fence electrified?" Clyde wondered.
"I wouldn't think so Clyde." Lincoln said. Just to make sure, Lincoln picked up another stick and throw it at the fence where like before nothing happens. "See"
"Well that's good." Clyde doesn't move forward, instead he turns to Lincoln with a sheepish smile. "Do you mind if you go first? I'm still a bit nervous after our last climb."
"Sure pal." Lincoln gets himself up on the concrete, then very slowly climbed up the bars of the fence. Lincoln didn't need to fall off and hurt himself, so he took each step with care, even when he got to the top of the fence Lincoln carefully stepped over it and just as slowly and carefully climbed down.
After coming safely down on the other side, Lincoln looked to Clyde with a reassuring smile. "Come on Clyde, it's not that hard. All you need to do is just go slowly and carefully."
Clyde nodded. "Right" Doing on what his friend said, he slowly and carefully began to climb up the fence.
After resting in the sun a bit, the allosaurus had gotten up and gotten a drink at the water pit. After her drink, she moved off through the enclosure towards where one of the fence lines laid. Coming up to the fence, she immediately saw a meal beginning to climb up on the fence. Interested, she tilts her head a bit as she hunched down her body. She waited until her potential meal is halfway up the fence before slowly stalking towards her prey.
