I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon and Jurassic Park/World belongs to Universal.
"Your nearly there Clyde." Lincoln told his friend as he continue to slowly climb up the fence. "Oh, that's a relief." Clyde commented for he can feel his fear of heights beginning to take hold of him, if he could just make it to the top, there's a possibility that he wouldn't freeze in place and just climb down from the other side.
Lincoln watched patently for he knew very well that Clyde needed to take his time on this. But when his gaze drifted past the fence and saw the allosaurus slowly approaching with her eyes firmly locked on Clyde was when all bets were off. Upon seeing the Jurassic predator, Lincoln lets out a gasp of fright which alerts Clyde. "What is it?" He called down.
"Uh, nothing, you just need to keep moving. Much more quickly now." Lincoln urged.
"Why?" Clyde question.
"Just trust me." Lincoln continued to urge. Feeling uneasy, Clyde looked behind him to see the allosaurus getting about ten feet behind him. Very much alert now, Clyde screamed and quickly climbed up to the top of the fence, seeing how her cover was now blown the allosaurus rushes towards him, getting to the fence she rears up and snaps her mouth at Clyde, while resting her hands on the fences, heavy steel bars.
Clyde felt the bottom of his pants tear open as a tooth went through, the reaction was immediate as Clyde climbed like Spiderman up the rest of the fence and immediately jumped off from the top, where he lands on his face to Lincoln's left.
Ignoring the now visible red underwear, Lincoln quickly turned Clyde around where visible dirt stains are now on his face. "Are you alright Clyde?"
"I felt the tooth near my tushy Lincoln!" Clyde suddenly lifted up his hand to show Lincoln an inch. "I was this close of losing my tushy!" The roar from the allosaurus gets their sudden attention. Angered for loosing her prey, she stands there looking at them, taking a step back she lets out a loud, angry roar.
"Alright next time we come across a fence. We are not going to climb it." Clyde stated fearfully as he watched the angry allosaurus that nearly took his butt off.
"Agreed" Lincoln just as fearfully replied for he was very close on loosing his best friend. Not wanting to stay any longer the two friends wisely decided to leave, the allosaurus roars at their turn backs, she continues to roar even after they were out of sight.
Feeling that they were far enough away from the allosaurus enclosure, the boys decided to stop underneath a tall tree for a brief rest by leaning against the tree. As they do Clyde felt the new breeze going through him, closing his eyes in cringe he slowly turned his head back for he couldn't bare to take a look.
"It's bad isn't it?" He asked Lincoln.
Looking awkwardly at the exposed underwear, Lincoln is slow to answer as he struggles on what he should say in order not to embarrass Clyde. Finally Lincoln came up with the best answer that he could come up with. "It's not that noticeable."
Slowly opening his eyes, Clyde looked for himself and let out a audible groan. "It's terrible! Oh, what am I going to do? These were my best pants!"
"It's not the end of the world Clyde. You just need to patch it up." Lincoln reassured.
"But how am I supposed to do that? The jungle doesn't exactly have the things I need to do some patch work." Clyde protested.
"Which is why we need to get to the main park. If there's anything on this island that can help fix your pants. It would be over there." Lincoln pointed out.
Thinking about it for a bit, Clyde places a finger on his chin. "That's true."
"Now if only we knew where we are? Then we can have better bearings?" Looking around the jungle, Lincoln sees nothing that could help them show a landmark. That was until he looked up to the tree that they have been leaning against did he then gotten an idea.
"I'll be right back Clyde." Jumping up, Lincoln began to climb up the tree. Like the fence earlier, Lincoln is extremely careful on where he places his hands and feet, from below Clyde watched in worry as he climbed up higher and higher, until he at lasts got to the top. "Do you see anything up there!" He called up to him.
From the top of the tree, Lincoln looked around the green landscape as he hung on to the tree, due to the high winds that could knock him off of the tree. So far he sees nothing but other trees, that was until a glint of light from the sun gets his attention, looking fully over Lincoln sees that the sun's light is reflecting off from a dome in the distance.
Lincoln recognized the dome as the Jurassic World's Aviary. He smiled for right there is the salvation they have been looking for. If they could just reach there, then they'll be able to be in the presence of adults, more importantly workers again, and then they'll be at the main park in no time.
Now that they had a plan, Lincoln carefully climbed back down to Clyde who is anxiously waiting. "Well, did you see anything?"
"Yes, I did and now we got a plan." Lincoln happily answered, seeing that Lincoln is happy made hope appear on Clyde. "What is it?"
"We make our to the aviary."
"The aviary of course! If there's any place on the island that has someone who could help us, it's gotta be there."
Lincoln snapped his finger. "Exactly! Though it's going to take a while to get there."
"I don't mind, as long as we're finally going to be safe it's going to be worth it. Besides walking is going to do us good." Clyde pointed out.
"True. Well we better get moving if we want to get there before sundown." Lincoln goes off first, looking briefly to his ripped pants Clyde soon follows.
Now walking with ripped pant isn't the most comfortable thing in the world as Clyde came to discover from the breeze going through the hole. Boy, he hoped that he could patch his pants up soon as this was no way to live. Clyde suppose that it could've been worse, he suppose that he should be glad that no one besides his best friend saw his underwear, if they were back home when this happened, then Chandler will have a field day and he would suddenly become the laughing stock in Royal Woods. That would definitely be worse and Clyde would definitely die of embarrassment if that ever happened.
Getting that patch will surely be great. Lincoln was right, once they reached the aviary their problem of being out on their own in the jungle will be over. Just hopefully no one will laugh at him when they get there.
But unfortunately the way to the aviary meant that they had to go through a thick part of the jungle where it was slightly dark, thanks to the trees blocking out the sun. Going through the thick part of the jungle made them nervous for there could be anything inside of here, especially the dinosaur that destroyed camp. It could be watching them right now, just waiting for the perfect moment to strike, it would slowly creep up when they least expect it, and then pick them up and eat them whole like french fries.
The snap of a twig makes the two utterly jump out of their skins from how frighten they have gotten themselves into, hugging each other the two looked around for a large body coming towards them, they then looked down and to their discovery it turns out that it was Lincoln who had stepped on the twig.
Seeing that they had scared themselves, they go into a soft series of laughter. "I guess we're a bit jumpy." Clyde spoke up.
"Yeah" Lincoln nervously laughed, the two then went into an awkward silence that is only interrupted by bird calls along with bug sounds. It was eventually Clyde who broke this awkward silence. "So, how far is the aviary from here?"
"I believe several more miles." Lincoln answered.
"Oh, Well let's continue on our way then." They once again began to walk through the thick jungle where their nervousness quickly returned to take hold of them again. They could start a conversation, but they both didn't know what to say, so they just kept on walking through this jungle.
They only stopped when a loud thump and vibration stopped the boys in their tracks in panic. Something was coming. Something very big judging by how they could hear branches breaking and the loud thumping noise that is getting louder, while the vibrations grew stronger. It must be the killer, white dinosaur! Feeling panic rise inside them, they quickly raced and ducked behind the tree, shaking like a leaf they felt the vibrations go stronger, then they heard a loud crack from a branch breaking.
Despite their instincts telling them not to, they slowly peeked their heads out. Relief filled them when they saw that it wasn't that white dinosaur, but instead it was an apatosaurus that came to a stop and reached up to feast on the juicy leafs on the top of the trees.
A huge weight came off of Clyde's chest. "Oh thank goodness. I thought we were in trouble for a second."
Although he is relieved himself that it wasn't the dinosaur that destroyed camp, Lincoln couldn't help but notice something strange about this. "Why is there an apatosaurus here?"
"What do you mean Lincoln?" Clyde asked for he wasn't thinking about anything strange at the moment.
"Aren't the apatosauruses supposed to be situated at Gyrosphere Valley?" Thinking about it for a second, Clyde realized that Lincoln had a point. "Oh yeah, they are. I wonder why this one is out here?"
"The most likely reason is that some of the fences are down." Lincoln concluded in dread.
"Oh boy, well at least this one is a herbivore." Clyde said. The apatosaurus strips off the leaves from the branch she is feasting on, she rears her neck back and swallows the leafs, letting out a low bellow she slowly walks away to find a nice water source.
After the giant animal left Lincoln and Clyde continues onwards. Watching the sauropod did help calm their nerves a bit, it was just something about watching the colossal herbivore had something whimsical about it. For that instant they both forgot about being in a dark, thick jungle, even if some of the fences were down at least they were ones that belonged to herbivores. Of course they weren't naive for the two knew that herbivores can be just as dangerous as carnivores, even more so sometimes. Yesterday's encounter with the triceratops proved it.
But really all they had to do with the herbivores is to keep their distance from them and they'll be good.
As Lincoln and Clyde walked through the jungle. Thousand of miles away in the safety of her room, Lisa had finally received the herrerasaurus bones and is ready to place them in her machine, yet before she could do that Lisa felt that she should at least inform Wu on the progress she's making.
Entering a Zoom call, Lisa patiently waited as the screen showed a telephone icon, until at last Wu's side of the call picked up. Upon picking up, Lisa noticed that he was in his office in the main lab in the Innovation Center. "Greetings Dr. Wu, I've come to give you the report that I just received the herrerasaurus samples."
"That's nice and all Lisa, but unfortunately your work will most likely be halted at the moment. Since we got a bit of a situation here." Wu informed her.
It surprised Lisa a bit, as well as it gave her a bit of disappointment for having her work suddenly interrupted. "What's the problem?"
"The indominus has unfortunately broken out of her enclosure. She has actually shown some remarkable intelligence on actually tricking the handlers on doing so." Wu said with a bit of proudness.
Lisa raised her eyebrow in interest over that statement. "Really?"
"Yes" Wu nodded. "She clawed the wall to make it look like that she escaped, she even hid from thermal imaging."
"Fascinating, no other animal could do that." Lisa pointed out.
"Indeed, it just shows the genius of science and my hard work. Though I must admit that I never would have thought that she could show this level of impressive intelligence." Wu then frowned a bit in regard. "Shame that she killed several people and shows high levels of aggression. But I suppose that no creation is perfect, but you can't deny that she's a one of the greatest predators that is currently walking the Earth."
Feeling a bit annoyed over Wu's little regard to the unfortunate loss of other people's lives that were no doubt brutally killed by Wu's creation. It took Lisa a bit of time to turn her mind over to her only brother who is currently on the island with Wu's loose creation, realizing this made her start to feel a rare feeling that surface from a usual emotionless girl of science like her; fear.
"Is my only male sibling alright?" Lisa didn't know why she asked that question. As if Wu would know anything about her male sibling's safety. From what she expected Wu shook his head. "I have no idea on the whereabouts of your brother. But I do send my sympathies though as from I observed, he seemed to be a bright young man."
"He is." Lisa confirmed.
"Well since he is bright. He might have a chance to survive if he met the indominus."
"Geez, that's comforting words." Lisa sarcastically remarked.
"I'm a man of science Mrs. Loud. I only think of chances." Wu replied. "Anywho, I've got a lot to take care of over here as you can imagine. So I shall talk to you later, that is if the park is still open which I highly doubt by the time this is over." Wu then shuts off his side of the Zoom call before Lisa could say anything else.
Without having the knowledge on the safety and health of her brother, Lisa can only hope that Lincoln's smarts and wit can help him survive against the hybrid, though in the small part of her mind that she didn't want to think about, it was that his chances were most likely slim, very slim. She really didn't want to think that, but her brain couldn't help it.
But of course there is a way for her to check to see if her male sibling unit is alright. Pulling out a device, she puts in some coordinates on the device where on the screen it shows the Earth that rotates to the position of Isla Nublar and zooms down to the top part of the island, near the aviary where two red dots are slowly approaching it. A smile came to her for she now knows that Lincoln along with Clyde are alright, thanks to the trackers that she may have placed in them last year.
The trackers work with the brains energy and since they were still transmitting on the screen, the boys were definitely alive and well. Lisa also came to the conclusion that the two were on their way to the aviary for help, which is smart thinking Lisa admitted. She wondered if she should tell her family about the news of the indominus break out,? In the end she decided not to, in order for her family not to get all frantic and worry. She'll only tell them if the situation at Jurassic World escalated, which she's pretty sure wouldn't come to that.
The dome to the aviary finally begins to come into view for Lincoln and Clyde who have finally got out of the dense jungle. "Well Clyde there's the aviary dome up ahead." Lincoln exclaimed as he and Clyde came to a stop.
"Thank goodness. My feet are really starting to kill me right now." Clyde said as he rubbed his foot.
Lincoln does same with his foot as well. "Mine to. We just need to go a few more miles and then we're there."
Without another word they moved on, the dome drew closer with each step. The two grew excited for they were soon going to be safe again amongst adults, who knows? Maybe the other campers have been found by now. A sudden familiar noise of a helicopter suddenly gets their attention, it only gets them more excited for it looks like they could be riding on a helicopter to the park, that would be very cool. Their excitement didn't last long however as they soon heard the sounds of gunfire. "What are they shooting at?" Clyde asked.
The helicopter comes into view as it comes to a hover above the dome, proceeded by the sound of glass breaking. "Whoa! Look!" Clyde then exclaimed as the outlines of pteranodons soon came into view and quickly surrounded the helicopter, where they quickly swarmed it.
The boys could only watch as the swarm of flying reptiles attacked the helicopter, until they bring it down by crashing through the dome and is fallowed by the sound of the helicopter exploding. Shock is the only way that they could express themselves after basically watching whoever was flying the helicopter die in a fiery blaze. The shock didn't last long however when they saw the huge flock of pteranodons and dimorphodons coming out of the newly made hole the helicopter created, a majority of them flew south while some flew right towards them.
"Oh crud!" Lincoln exclaimed. He grabbed hold of Clyde's hand and raced back the way they came. The flying reptiles are fast as they flew, it took them no time to fly over their heads making all sorts of sounds.
One of the dimorphodons looks down at them, letting out a call the dimorphodon flew down with a wide open mouth. Thinking quickly Clyde pushes his friend out of the way, just in time as the dimorphodon snapped its mouth shut where Lincoln's left shoulder was as it flew past them.
"Whoa! That sure was close!" Lincoln shouted.
"Yeah, you nearly had your arm chomped." Clyde panted for his body hated to do all this running.
"Well at least under the trees up ahead we should be-" A pteranodon suddenly flew down and picked Lincoln up with its feet. "Safe!" Clyde stops in his tracks immediately, he can only watch in horror as he helplessly reached his hand out as the pteranodon carries his struggling best friend into the air. "Lincoln!"
Through his frantic struggles against the pteranodon's grip, Lincoln kicked around his legs and punched the feet until he slipped out of it, only to get intercepted by another pteranodon who grabbed his midsection with its mouth. This freaked Lincoln out even more, causing him to really struggle around which slips him out of the flying reptile's mouth and fall right through a tree.
Branches crash and scratch against him, he falls through the last branch and hits the ground. Lincoln didn't know how much time past as he laid there groaning on the ground, but it probably wasn't long considering his view of the bottom of the tree got cut off by a concern Clyde who is in full panic mode. "Lincoln! Are you alright?! Oh, What am I saying? Of course your not! You got scratches on your face and arms, your clothes have some rips! And oh my gosh! I think you broke your wrist!"
Lincoln slowly lifted up his left hand with discomfort and did indeed see that his wrist was definitely broken. He winces from the pain that came from it. "Ow! Oh, this can't be good." Slowly Lincoln sat himself up, feeling the pain from every slight movement of his wrist, worrying Clyde greatly.
"Lincoln we need to tend to that injury." He told his injured friend.
"How are we going to do that?" Lincoln couldn't help but ask.
"I don't know." Clyde admitted, the sounds from the passing flying reptiles gets their attention as the shadows past them. "But first let's get out of the open." Clyde insisted.
"Agreed" With Clyde helping him to his feet, the two began to walk to find shelter within the dense jungle. They get a few feet away when a roar from behind stops them in their tracks, quickly turning around they caught sight of a carnotaurus with a scar on its snout, walking behind two trees.
The boys remain silent as they stood frozen in their spots, as the horned carnivore's top half went past another tree and then turned towards them. "You gotta be kidding me." Lincoln muttered.
Back in Royal Woods; the Loud family have all gathered in the living room to watch some TV. During the past few days the absence of Lincoln is really evident throughout the household, all of them kept expecting to be seeing him coming out of his room in the morning for the bathroom rush, on the couch reading a comic book or playing a video game, or when they're all together just like now. They missed him, but they knew that would be talking to him later tonight, besides at least he was having fun over at camp.
Anyway the TV program they were currently watching was really thrilling and interesting, however the show didn't last long for suddenly it got interrupted by a news report. "We interrupt this program to bring you a shocking report."
The screen cuts to news anchorman; John Peterson holding onto a file of papers, while behind him is the Jurassic World logo that is displayed. "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. John Peterson here to bring you this shocking live report! Jurassic World is under attack by its assortment of flying reptiles that have broken out from its aviary."
The Louds gasped in shock, besides Lisa who cringed for she just had to tempt fate. On the TV, the screen switched to a broadcast of the security cameras throughout main street that showed the pteranodon and dimorphodon attack amongst the panic cries from tourists. It was really shocking to watch all of this unfolding chaos, so shocking that even Lucy had to cringe at it, especially after watching a pteranodon pick up a tourist.
"We don't know the extent of the injuries yet, but we did get word that park owner; Simon Masrani is sadly lost. We are receiving no word yet from any of the board members for Jurassic World, but we are hearing rumors that they're going to deploy Ingen's private security force." John goes silent for a bit, before speaking up again. "This is a horrible disaster and it looks like this could end Jurassic World."
John goes off into some details, though the family weren't listening, they were too busy thinking about the one family member that's currently on that island. "My baby. He's facing that right now." Rita cried.
"Is Linky going to be okay?" Leni worriedly asked Lori. "I don't know Leni." Lori answered with equal worry for her little brother's safety.
"Bro has to be alright. He's at that camp of theirs." Luna said as she shook a bit, she couldn't accept that Lincoln is in the middle of that attack.
"Yeah, I mean what are the chances that those ugly birds came to the camp that Lincoln is staying in?" Lola agreed in equal denial.
"They're not birds, they're flying reptiles." Lisa calmly corrected. She had to keep a calm mind for a panic mind wouldn't do any good in a situation like this, despite the fact Lincoln and Clyde were heading to the aviary when she last saw them, and have most likely gotten there just as the breakout occurred.
"Who cares!" Lola snapped for she really didn't want to be corrected during a time like this. After that she and the others continue to watch the troubling news that's unfolding in front of them, while hoping that Lincoln and Clyde are alright over on that island with extreme worry plastered all over their faces.
