"Faster Lincoln, he's gaining on us!" Clyde exclaimed as he and Lincoln once again found themselves running through the jungle with a predator in hot pursuit of them. This time it was a carnotaurus, the theropod dinosaur with two horns on its head and had arms that are shorter than a T-Rex's arms.

The carnotaurus roars as he chases after them, crashing through vines and branches as he got closer to them. Lincoln tried to go faster, but his broken wrist hurt every time he moved it, he needed to find a place to rest it, but he couldn't do that right now for obvious reasons.

Looking back, Lincoln could utterly jump from how close the horned carnivore is to them. "Clyde quick! Turn left on the double!" They sharply turn in that direction, not expecting this sudden turn the carnotaurus stumble and fell as he tried to make that same sharp turn, letting out a frustrated snarl he quickly gets himself back up to his feet and rejoined the pursuit.

Lincoln and Clyde continued on running, they make another sharp turn, this time to the right. Clyde nearly got his head bit off as the carnotaurus came at him, only to miss and slam into a tree, knocking it down as he fell with it, thus allowing the two to gain a good distance away from him.

They run pass a large fern when Clyde looked over to his left and saw a small cave that's perfect for them to hide in. "Lincoln, quick this way!"

The two turned quickly in that direction, practically diving into the cave. Once inside they both turned around and immediately stepped back as the carnotaurus's head came through roaring, they stepped back to the very back of the cave as he snapped his jaws at them, dinosaur spit also splatters all over them. Frustrated over not being able to reach them the carnotaurus lets out a roar that splattered more spit on the two as well as a big stench of bad breath.

The frustration eventually gets the better of him, moving his head out of the cave the carnotaurus takes two steps away from the cave, letting a snarl he turned right and walked away, his heavy footsteps could be heard until it slowly faded away.

Once he was gone both Lincoln and Clyde relaxed themselves. "I think he's gone." Lincoln spoke up.

"We should wait before going out. Remember that white dinosaur had waited for us to come out from that tree." Clyde reminded.

"Good point." Seeing how they weren't going anywhere any time soon, the two sat down by the back wall of the cave. If the carnotaurus is indeed still there, it would be best to keep a very good distance away from the entrance. Now that they were sitting down, they took the time to wipe away the spit that's all over them, it made them sick as it was so sticky and the smell got to them.

"Oh man? This smells like Lana's shoe." Lincoln exclaimed.

"Do you think that was Toro?" Clyde suddenly asked.

"Huh?"

"The carnotaurus that Kenji and Darius encountered. You think that was him?"

Lincoln shrugged. "Could be. That one did have a scar on his snout."

"Well if it was Toro, and if the others are alright. I hope they don't run into him." Clyde said in worry.

"I wouldn't worry Clyde. If they are alright, I don't think they would encounter him. After all with how big the island is, what are the odds that they would encounter each other?" Lincoln reassured him.

"It could happen." Clyde insisted.

"Don't worry Clyde, I'm sure they would be fine." With that they stopped talking and sat there looking out of the cave entrance to the jungle trees that moved in the wind. With all the experiences they had faced today and the silence of the jungle, the two unknowingly fell asleep.

A roar abruptly awoken Lincoln up from his sleep. Still laying back against the wall of the cave, Lincoln looked out of the cave entrance for anything that was coming. He couldn't see anything yet, but he did hear the heavy thumping sounds of a large dinosaur walking.

"Clyde, do you hear that?" Lincoln doesn't get a answer. Turning his head, Lincoln discovered that Clyde is nowhere to be seen. "Clyde? Clyde, where are you?"

The heavy footsteps then suddenly stopped right outside of the cave. To Lincoln's dismay the head of the indominus lowers in front of the cave entrance and stared right at him with her red eye, Lincoln felt himself go stiff under that red eye's gaze. He should be alright, her mouth can't fully reach him from in here.

Maneuvering so that her body is in front of the cave, she gets on her right hand and reached inside with her left hand where she grabbed Lincoln. Struggling frantically within her grasp, Lincoln gets pulled out from the cave and the last thing he sees is the open mouth of the indominus.

Awakening with a jolt, Lincoln moved his wrist which sent a huge fire of pain scorching through him. "Ouch!" The shout from him awoken Clyde with a jump that made him fall on his side. "What's happening? Are we getting attacked?!" He asked in panic.

"Sorry Clyde." Lincoln said with a rub of his head as he felt a bit silly after breaking their little nap. "I just had a nightmare."

"Was it one of those dreams where it seemed too real?"

Lincoln nodded. "Yeah"

"Well then don't worry about it." Clyde then glances over to Lincoln's wrist. "So how does your wrist feel?"

Slowly Lincoln lifted it up to have a look. "It still hurts. I'm definitely going to need a cast for it." Lincoln now looks out through the cave's entrance and saw that the sky is starting to get dark. "We've definitely been asleep for a while."

"You think we should keep moving? I mean, I would like to reach the main park as soon as possible, but I'm not so sure that I want to go out through the jungle when it's getting dark out."

Thinking about it was really conflicting, Lincoln really wanted to get to the main park and with his broken wrist he wanted to do get there as fast as possible, but Clyde did have a point on being worried about going through the jungle during the night. The visibility would be limited, not to mention that with some of the dinosaurs out of their pens, it wouldn't be too hard for some of them to ambush them, besides maybe staying here will be beneficial for them. If there are people out looking for them at this very moment? Then he and Clyde can make it easier for the search team to find them.

Coming up with a plan, Lincoln turned to address Clyde. "All right will remain here for the time being, but we need to make a fire."

"To keep us warm." Clyde exclaimed.

"That and to make it easier for anyone who might be looking for us at this moment." Lincoln explained.

"Oh, that's some good thinking Lincoln." Clyde complimented, in response Lincoln tapped his head with a smirk. "That's why they call me the man with the plan."

"So I guess we should go and get some firewood now?"

"Yep, we should definitely start doing that." Before the two went out, they at first poked their heads out and used the semi still visible light to check their surroundings. Seeing nothing that could eat them, Lincoln and Clyde went out and went a short distance into the jungle, picking up whatever sticks they could find.

It was more difficult for Lincoln, considering he only had one hand to pick up and carry his sticks. After awhile he didn't feel that he could pick up anymore sticks and headed back into the cave, Clyde fallowed a short time later with way more sticks than Lincoln had brought making him feel guilty a bit. But now that they had their sticks, it shouldn't be too difficult to make that fire.

It took an hour to finally create a spark that would make that fire, and when it was finally roaring proudly it was truly dark. "Well that took longer than expected." Clyde exclaimed as he placed down the rocks that he used to create that fire.

"I'm sorry that I couldn't help buddy." Lincoln spoke up as he leaned against the back wall of the cave. He really felt bad as he had just watched Clyde doing all the work on making this fire, while he just leaned here doing absolutely nothing like some statue.

"It's okay Lincoln. After all your the one with the broken wrist." Clyde quickly reassured for now he felt guilty for making his best friend feel down in the dumps.

"Yeah I know, but still, I really wished that I could've done something."

"You came up with this idea, that's something." Clyde pointed out.

"True"

"And you did collect some of the firewood." Clyde added.

"That's also true." By now Lincoln is starting to feel a little bit better over Clyde's reassuring words.

"Yep, thanks to your great idea pal, people will surely come to our rescue." Clyde finished.

"I suppose your right. We might as well take the time to kick back and relax." With that Lincoln sat himself down, while being very careful with his wrist. Clyde comes up next to him and fallows his lead. "Now your talking buddy."

Sitting there in the cave with the fire crackling into the night, it was the most time they felt relaxed for today, which unfortunately wouldn't last very long for them, for as soon as they got themselves settled down the sound of a speaker from the public address system went off. "Attention. The last ferry's for evacuation will be departing in thirty minutes."

Lincoln and Clyde shot themselves forward after hearing that. "Wait what?" Clyde exclaimed in shock, all thoughts of relaxation is immediately tossed out the window. The island is being evacuated?! Things must've turned out worse, especially with that pteranodon and dimorphodon breakout. That was bad enough, but the fact they were already evacuating on their last ferry's in about thirty minutes is worse, as they weren't anywhere near the main docks.

"Lincoln?" Clyde spoke up with a whisper.

"Yes, Clyde?" Lincoln replied with a equal whisper.

"You thinking on what I'm thinking?"

"That we need to get on over to the docks and get on the ferry before they leave post haste?"

"Yep"

They quickly get up to their feet and ran out of the cave, their previous disinterest on going through the jungle at night is immediately out of their heads, of course it didn't stop Clyde from going briefly back to the cave to put out their fire as he didn't want to leave it unattended for that could cause a wildfire. After he firmly put it out, Clyde dashed off into the same direction as Lincoln through the dark jungle that only had moonlight to provide some visibly for them.

"Where are we even heading Lincoln?" Clyde panted.

"I don't know, but hopefully it's towards the main docks as we can't miss those ferry's." Lincoln replied with a equal amount of pants.

"I just hope we're going in the right direction." They ran and ran as fast as their legs could carry them, they just needed to reach the docks.

Bursting out through the bushes, they reached a recently abandon building. Studying it, they came to the conclusion that the building must be a garage, which is great for them as a vehicle would help them move faster, they just needed to find a way in first. So sperating in different directions they searched for a door, the first one of the two to find one is Clyde who unfortunately came to discover that it was locked and that it could only be open with a key card. "Oh perfect." He sarcastically remarked.

Looking down next to the close door, Clyde spots a vent that he could climb into. Getting on his knees, he grips the vent and huffed as he pulled several times, until it finally popped out from the wall. Setting it down next to him, Clyde crawls inside just as Lincoln appeared around the corner. "Well buddy, I've found some windows which unfortunately are way up are arm reach."

Lincoln stopped in his tracks when he noticed that Clyde isn't here. "Clyde?" Lincoln looked around the area where he was standing in for he was sure that Clyde was just here. He walked up to the door and scratched his head with question when Clyde opened the door. "Hey buddy, I got the door open."

"Good work buddy." Entering the building himself, Clyde shuts the door plunging the building into darkness that didn't last long as Lincoln had managed to find the light switch and lit up the whole garage, revealing jeeps, utility trucks, cars, and a golf cart.

Seeing how they couldn't drive most of the vehicles and that they didn't have time to make a decision, they settled for the golf cart. Settling down in it, Lincoln sat in the passenger seat and Clyde got on the driver's side. "You sure that you can drive this thing?" Lincoln asked him.

"Of course, I learned from principal Huggins." Clyde happily informed. He steps on the gas and drove to the garage doors where he stopped and opened them with the garage door remote. Once it was fully open, he drove out of the garage and right down a dirt road.

"This is perfect Clyde! We just need to sit back and we'll be at the docks in no time." Lincoln happily exclaimed.

"Of course we got to be responsible on the road." Clyde reminded as he turned right on a bend.

"Of course, we wouldn't want to get into a accident." Lincoln jolted a bit as the cart went over some bumps.

The cart continues to drive down the road, it's headlights illuminated the road and the passing vegetation, they soon had to stop when they came upon a fork in the road. "Oh boy, which way do we go?" Clyde question while wishing he had a map right now or at least some signs.

Lincoln meanwhile looked at both ways carefully, he knew that the docks for the ferry is located down south. They just needed to go down the correct path and then they'll be there, they just need to do it quickly, so he just points over to the path on right. "Let's go that way."

Clyde wanted to go the other way, but he knew that they had no time for a open discussion, so he just went in the direction that Lincoln wanted to go. So far the direction they went in was a straight line with some small hills, it wasn't until that they turned left that they had to skid to a stop due to a sleeping stegosaurus blocking the way.

They sat there completely stunned over this sudden turn of events, all they did was just stare at the sleeping giant who after a snort, turned his head away from them. "Do we go around it?" Clyde finally spoke up.

"We could, but maybe it'll be better if we honk the horn and have it move out of the way."

"I'm not so sure if that such a good idea Lincoln. Honking the horn would most likely startle her and I'm frankly not a fan of having those spikes swinging at me."

"That's a good point Clyde. But we should at least-" Just then the public address system came through in the distance. "Attention. The last ferry's for evacuation will be departing in sixteen minutes."

The two go silent over that news, their mission on getting over to the docks just got more important. Without saying another word, Clyde moves the stick forward and stepped on the gas, the golf cart moves off to the side of the road and passed the still sleeping stegosaurus who had by this point went to her side. After they were fully cleared from the animal, Clyde drives back on to the road and took off with more speed.

With the speed that they were going in, it made the cart bump and shake more, which made Lincoln grab hold of his seatbelt while his broken wrist hurt from all this movement it was enduring. "Um, Clyde. Perhaps it wouldn't be too much trouble to ask if you slow down a bit?"

Clyde didn't take his eyes off the road when he spoke back to his friend. "Sorry Lincoln, but we can't slow down. We just gotta get there on time."

"I know buddy, but we don't wanna get into crash. Also my wrist is killing me with how much we're bumping around."

"I'll make it up to you later Lincoln. Preferably after we reach that Ferry." Clyde steps on the gas harder making them go even more faster. Lincoln began to wonder if he should write his will now for how fast Clyde was going, it suddenly felt like that being eaten by a dinosaur was a better way to go.

The cart continues to speed through the road, leaving behind a large trail of dust. Clyde didn't stop for anything, not for any potholes, fallen branches on the road, or when some compsognathus were about to cross the road only to quickly scatter in the opposite direction when the cart suddenly went past them. It seemed like that it was taking forever, but at last Clyde spotted an opening in the trees. "There it is! That must be the docks!" Clyde said in excitement.

"Oh thank goodness." Lincoln puffed out as he held on more tightly to his seat. The jeep goes into the clearing and skidded to a stop, once the dust cleared Lincoln and Clyde were dismayed as they weren't at the docks. They were at the power station that's located at the more eastern part of the island.

"Oh no! We took a wrong turn!" Clyde cried.

"Don't worry Clyde. We just need to drive south." Lincoln quickly reassured him. Clyde quickly turned the key, but the cart only spluttered, looking down to the fuel gauge they both see that it was empty.

"No" Clyde taps the gauge with his finger which didn't do anything. "Please no." He taps it more frantically. "Come on! You can't do this to me!" He then started to pound it. "Why!? Why do you have to do this now!?"

Seeing Clyde panic like this, Lincoln reached over and land a hand on his shoulder. Clyde turned to him with that panic look in his eyes, they just looked at each other, then Clyde slumped down against the seat. "Now what are we going to do? There's no way we're going to make it to the docks in time."

"Come on, don't say that Clyde." Lincoln said a bit sternly.

"But it's true Lincoln. I mean look where we are. The power station is miles away from docks. Let's face it, were done for." Clyde fell more backwards onto his seat with sadness.

"But we can't just give up." Lincoln insisted.

"But what do we even do Lincoln?" Clyde protested.

Lincoln thinks for a way there, a sudden thought then came to him. "Perhaps we could take a short cut."

"A shortcut?" Clyde question with some doubt. Lincoln nodded for it seemed like a good idea. "Yes, a shortcut."

"Where are we going to find a shortcut?" Clyde asked.

"I don't know." Lincoln honestly answered. "But we'll find one, don't worry." Lincoln quickly reassured.

"What's the point though? By the time we find one, it's going to be too late." Clyde lowers his head down for there is absolutely no way they could make it there in time. A hoot suddenly draws Clyde out of his slump, with Lincoln he looked up to the tree line in front of them to see a theropod dinosaur that had crests on top of its head.

The dinosaur looked at them curiously, while the two boys looked back with caution. They don't make any sudden movements for maybe if they stay still the animal would just move on its way. Two more then came out from the treeline, making hoots as they stopped next to the first one and looked at each other for a brief moment before looking at them. Seeing three of the animals made Lincoln's and Clyde's nervousness grow, maybe it would be best for them to get inside the power station right now.

Lincoln suddenly heard another hoot that's near his ear, slowly turning his head, he sees that another one is about three feet away from him. "Oh no."

The dinosaur let's out a roar as a thrill suddenly fanned out and shook, the dinosaur spits out black liquid at him. Lincoln just manages to dodge it, causing the black spit to instead splatter all over Clyde's glasses. "Ah! My glasses!"

Clyde immediately began to wipe away the spit off his glasses just as the dinosaur, which turned out to be a dilophosaurus hopped at them with its mouth wide open, thinking fast Lincoln launched himself out of the other end of the cart while pushing Clyde along with him. They land on their sides as the dilophosaurus landed on the seat Lincoln sat on, where she lets out a roar as her body is poised down and the thrill is still out.

Lincoln and Clyde get up to their feet and make a run for the power station, Lincoln had to help Clyde however since the black spit that's still on Clyde's glasses blinded him. The dilophosaurus jumped off from the golf cart's seat and went in pursuit with her thrill now down, the other three joined in by running in diagonally from the boys.

One of the three made a sudden turn at them, fully intending to jump on one of them. Lincoln however took noticed of what it was going to do and quickly grabbed hold of Clyde's shoulder. "Quick Clyde! Duck!"

They do it in the nick of time, the dilophosaurus jumped over them. Not anticipating this the dilophosaurus lands and rolls on the ground. Lincoln and Clyde get back up and continued to run for the power station, the other two dilophosaures cuts them off with their thrills fanning out, together they spit out a series of black spit that Lincoln and Clyde had to abruptly turn left in order to avoid it.

The two make another turn and reached the wall of the power station, running alongside the wall they both reached the door where the one dilophosaurus that attacked them from the cart hopped in front of them ready to spit. Thinking quickly, Lincoln opened up the door and used it to hit the dilophosaurus in the face, they then both ran in and Lincoln slammed the door shut as the other three ran at them. Banging and angry snarls were heard as the dinosaurs thrashed against the door, luckily they couldn't get in and eventually gave up.

Since they were in the clear now, Clyde took this moment to take off his glasses and wipe the black spit off of them, after fully making sure that it was off, he places them back on. "Phew! Much better."

"Talk about saying it while spitting it." Looking over to Lincoln, Clyde let out a disgusted ew, alerting him. "What?"

"Some of that spit got on the back of your shirt." Clyde pointed out.

Looking on his back Lincoln sees that Clyde was telling the truth. He guessed that he didn't feel the spit hit him as they ran. "Well ain't that disgusting."

"Too bad your spare shirts are way back at camp, huh."

"Yeah" Lincoln said in dismay for it looks like he was going to be stuck with a spit covered shirt for awhile.

"Attention. The last ferry's for evacuation will be departing in five minutes." The public address system called out. Hearing this latest update, Clyde deflates like a balloon as he slumped his shoulders down. "I guess that's it then. There's really no way will make it there in time." Sitting himself down on the floor, Clyde glumly places his hands under his chin.

By now Lincoln would be saying something to reassure his friend, but came to the sad conclusion that Clyde was right. Even if those dinosaurs were gone, the golf cart has no fuel left and there's no way they would make it on foot. Letting out a sad sigh, Lincoln turned his attention to the machinery for the power station, they were all turned off and yet the lights were still on, Lincoln guessed it was either emergency power or it was coming from the main control room.

Walking around a bit, Lincoln passes by switches and buttons on various machinery, he eventually reached a railing of a staircase, looking down them Lincoln saw a open door lit by a red light. Curious Lincoln went down the stairs and entered the doorway to see a long underground tunnel. "What's this place?"

Lincoln then notices a sign that read utility tunnels on the wall that's right next to a map of the island. Looking at the map, Lincoln saw the lines for the underground tunnels going through out the island, he realized that if they wanted to get to the docks quickly then they needed to use these tunnels. Quickly Lincoln ran back up the stairs to tell Clyde on this discovery he had made.
