I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon and Jurassic Park/World belongs to Universal.
The underground maintenance tunnels felt foreboding from how empty and dark they were, and the red lights that lit up the place certainly didn't help calm the already creepy atmosphere at all. Although the environment would give anyone the creeps and it certainly did gave Lincoln and Clyde the creeps, it didn't stop the two boys from rushing on through the tunnels.
They had five minutes to reach the docks before the last ferry leaves. They just got to reach it or else they could find themselves trapped on this island and with everything that's happening here on the island they don't want that to happen. They ran even more faster, ignoring the panting they were doing and the pain from Lincoln's wrist, although that wasn't as easy to ignore as Lincoln closed his eyes in cringe.
"Are you sure we're going to make it to the docks in time Lincoln?" Clyde finally asked.
"Oh, I'm positively sure Clyde. As sure as Lisa solving a math problem." They soon came to a corner and turned right, only to stop just short of a closed gate. "What is this?" Lincoln question in disbelief.
"Oh no! They must be closing up the tunnels because of the evacuation!" Clyde said in panic with both of his hands on his cheeks.
"Do you see a way around it?" They both looked around frantically for anything like a door or a vent that they could crawl through.
"I don't see anything Lincoln." Clyde stated in panic. This overall made Lincoln start to panic as well for he had lead them into a dead end which delayed them with this prescious short time they had. "This is terrible Clyde." He cried out in worry.
"Don't worry Lincoln, maybe we passed something back the way we came." Clyde tried to reassure, but frankly was very worried himself. Quickly they raced back to the corner and found a mid-sized vent that could definitely fit them, together they grabbed hold of the grate and pulled it out with all of their might, now that it was open they went in with Clyde going first with Lincoln close behind him.
Crawling through the vents took time as Lincoln painfully remembered that he wasn't fit to be crawling around, he had to go slow in order not to slam down on his injury, though it still very much hurt whenever it came into contact with the metal floor. Another thing that delayed them is the twists and turns inside the vents, not to mention the different passageways that suddenly appeared to them where Clyde is forced to make a sudden decision where he hoped that he choose the correct way.
"Please tell me that we're getting closer to an exit." Lincoln moaned as he couldn't take the pain anymore.
"Hold on buddy, I think that I can see some moonlight up ahead." Clyde told him as through his eyes, he could just see a faint light up ahead. Crawling his way to the faint light, he definitely sees that it was moonlight which greatly excited him and makes him crawl faster to the light which is coming from a grate above them.
Grabbing it Clyde pushes the grate open and found that it lead back outside in a small patch of pink flowers. "See anything Clyde?" Lincoln called out.
"No, the coast is clear." Clyde climbs himself out of the vent and then helped his friend out by grabbing his uninjured hand.
Now out of the vent, the boys took notice of the landscape around them; the jungle is a half a mile away from a clearing they stood in, while a cliff is nearby. Going over to the cliff's edge the two saw in delight the ferry docks down on their far left, but what they didn't find delightful is that the last ferry is sailing away. Feeling their hearts going up into to their throats, they raised their arms up as high as they can and shouted as loud as their voices can allow. "Wait! We're still here! Please come back!"
It was utterly useless as the ferry trudges on with no indication of stopping or turning around, it wasn't until it reached the horizon that Lincoln and Clyde dropped their arms down in both sadness and fear. They had failed! Despite their best efforts, they had failed to reach the last ferry and now they were stranded here with dinosaurs that have surly broken out of their enclosures. Slowly they turned around to face the jungle with the look of disappointment and fear, their fear grew when they heard the faint, distant roar of a carnivorous dinosaur.
"What are we going to do now Lincoln?"
"I, I, I don't know Clyde. I really don't know." And it was true, Lincoln; the man with the plan had no plan on what they were supposed to now. They barely survived trying to reach here, how in the world were they supposed to survive on their own on this island for much longer? Most importantly isn't anyone going to notice that they weren't part of the evacuation and come back for them? They just had to notice right? They're not just going to assume that they were eaten right? Right?!
They quickly turned back to look out at the ocean in hopes that the ferry will come back. It never did and now the two boys reluctantly walked into the jungle and climbed up a tree to rest up for the night, for after this day they needed all the rest they can get. "Do you think they'll come back for us Lincoln?" Clyde asked in a low tone of voice.
"I honestly don't know Clyde." Lincoln replied.
"Boy, we sure made the mistake on coming here for the summer."
"You can say that again, buddy." Lincoln let's out a short, soft chuckle. "It figures that the time we show up here, everything goes into utter chaos."
"How do you think are families are doing through this?" Clyde then question.
"They're probably worried sick. You know, if news on what happened here had already got out."
"I miss them. I really wished that I was with my dads right now."
"I wish I was with my family to Clyde." The two then let out a soft sigh as they looked up to the starry night sky, thinking about being back home in Royal Woods with their individual families.
The News had been covering the incident that's been happening at Jurassic World all throughout the afternoon and the Louds, (who have been stricken with worry over Lincoln's safety), had been watching every minute of it.
From what they learned the incident was caused by Jurassic World's newest attraction the indominus rex which had broken out of her enclosure and went on a rampage, killing anything that has crossed her path from workers to several dinosaurs. The security team that had been sent to deal with the escape hybrid has unfortunately failed on killing it and has instead suffered heavy casualties themselves.
Although Lisa already knew about the hybrid breakout, she couldn't have never imagine the carnage it would create or how intelligent she's proven herself to be, though that's probably a given what with the raptor DNA in her blood. It was fascinating, but otherwise a very frightening creature that was made. Wu had really outdone himself on this creation.
For the other members of the family, they were all but horrified over the damaged this dinosaur had caused throughout the park. It's a gut wrenching blow for animal lovers like Lana who sadly watches the images of some of the dinosaurs the indominus had killed, she felt close to bawling her eyes out when she saw the slaughtered apatosaurus herd. Seeing those peaceful giants get violently killed by a monster dinosaur really tugged on the tomboy's heartstrings.
Overall after hearing and seeing the destruction of Jurassic World, the family really hoped that Lincoln and Clyde were on one of the ferrys that are evacuating the island and were very much safe. They felt that they aged a bit from how worried they had felt, vivid images of Lincoln and Clyde getting eaten or stomped on by that monster dinosaur made them all quiver in fear. It made them curse themselves for letting them go there in the first place.
The Louds aren't the only ones who were worried on this horrible night as Howard and Harold felt that their world had been absolutely shattered into a million pieces and danced upon.
Their poor baby who had been sending them letters from camp every night is currently on a island of death and violence. Howard knew it was a bad idea to send their baby to that blasted island, it was a island that only harbors death to poor unfortunate souls that end up inside those genetically created beasts. Just why did they let him go there? Didn't they learn that the first park on that island had failed horribly before, why would they think that this park would be any different?
Now their foolishness has cost them. Their boy and his friend have faced utter destruction and most likely saw someone get killed by this indominus thing. Those poor boys must be very traumatized by all that, it was probably going to take several trips to Dr. Lopez to have them feel better, but even so they would still be traumatized to what they may have saw on that island of death.
One thing is for sure was that when they have word on Clyde being at the place where the people that have evacuated the island are being sheltered in, they are immediately going to drop everything and make their way down to Costa Rica and give him the biggest hug they would ever give him and they were sure that in no doubt that the Louds would be joining them.
That night would otherwise be sleepless for both families as the worrying thoughts of their missing, individual family members filled their minds.
The sun rose up from behind the mountains of Isla Nublar. Pteranodons awakening themselves up from newly, nested cliff tops flew off with grace above the jungles, one flies above a plain where a herd of newly freed parasaurolophus graze with a nearby stegosaurus herd.
In a nearby water hole; two brachiosaurs stood at the waters edge eating the top of some trees. Compsognathus gathered around the shore drinking the water or running around as they go after some tasty bugs that fly all around them.
Meanwhile; a herd of triceratops wandered through the jungle to find a fresh place to graze, while a few feet away from the herd three gallimimus ran away from a pursuing allosaurus that manages to catch up with the one lacking behind and grabs it by the tail. The allosaurus pulled the gallimimus down, she releases the tail and quickly grabbed on to the struggling gallimimus's neck, that swiftly got brought down with a twist. Now with a fresh meal ready the Jurassic carnivore begins to tear into the gallimimus's flesh.
All throughout the island; newly abandon buildings stood tall and proud, waiting for someone to come and run them.
Up safely in their tree; Lincoln and Clyde are still peacefully asleep. With all the things that they had faced yesterday, the two boys were in a deep, dreamless sleep. It took awhile, but eventually the two woke up with the sunlight on their faces.
Letting out a yawn, they both shielded their eyes until they were well adjusted to the light, once they were the two had a good view of the tops of trees which confused them a bit, until the horrible memory of missing the last evacuation ferry came to them and they wished that they haven't for now they are horribly reminded that they are now stuck on this island.
"Oh man Lincoln! What are we going to do?"
"I don't know Clyde, but I do know one thing though. It's going to take awhile for someone to come get us, so we have to hold out a bit until help does come."
Lincoln then lifted up his wrist to look at it. "First things first though, we need to take care of this."
"I say that's a important thing to do." Clyde began to think about what to do for his friend, then an idea came into his head. "You know, if I recall correctly, Jurassic World has a medical bay near the hotels. If we head over there, then we may find something to patch up that wrist of yours."
"Sounds like a plan." Lincoln smiled, then the sound of a dinosaur roaring from nearby alerted the two. "Of course we will have to be super careful, since it sounds like that all the dinosaurs are out of their enclosures."
"Can't argue with that." Clyde agreed.
Now that they had a game plan, the two carefully climbed themselves down the tree, reaching the ground they checked around for any danger, thankfully there was none so they relaxed a bit. "Alright, so how are we getting to the hotels?"
"That won't be much of a problem." Clyde exclaimed before he made his way back to the cliff with Lincoln fallowing.
Reaching over there he simply points over to the docks, more specifically the monorail. "All we have to do is fallow the monorail track and then we'll be at the resort in no time."
"Well then, we better start making our way over there." Without a further ado the two boys carefully made their way down to the docks, once there they went up to the monorail, they would've love to use the monorail itself, but they had no idea on how to drive it, so they are forced to go on foot by fallowing the pillars.
Nervousness and dread filled the two as they walked underneath the track of the monorail. Every sound that came from the dense jungle made them jump, as any second now they would run into a hungry dinosaur and no one would be able to stop it. They are definitely going to feel better once they make it to the resort as at least they would be safe inside a building.
They continued to walk for several more miles until at last the gate for Jurassic World came into view. It was a good sign as that meant that they were getting closer to their destination, they continued to walk along even further and eventually they could see the top part of the hotels and upon seeing them they kicked up the pace.
At last after pushing pass a fern the two stepped on to some concrete and had a clear view of the hotels. Now that they were here the two took notice of the plushies, brochures, hats, toys, and other stuff littered all over the ground. It felt very eerie from how quiet it was, it's hard to believe that just yesterday that this place was filled with people, but now seeing it abandon like this is like seeing Disney world abandon. "So where's this medical bay?" Lincoln spoke up.
Clyde pointed over to the second hotel. "It should be next to that one." The two walked three steps, but then Clyde stopped himself and Lincoln in their tracks with a tense look in his eyes. Lincoln looks over and sees why Clyde had grew tense as right near the treeline is a pair of hadrosaurs that had a fin on their backs, what Lincoln can remember is that these dinosaurs were called ouranosaurus. "It's ok Clyde, their herbivores."
"Are you sure?" He nervously asked as for what they had been through for the past two days, Clyde developed a bit of a phobia of the dinosaurs and he didn't want to take any chances with any of these dinosaurs.
"Yes I'm sure Clyde. You know just as long as we keep our distance." Lincoln stated.
"No argument with that." Clyde agreed as he and Lincoln slowly walked on while keeping a watchful eye on the herbivores that just ate the grass.
Reaching passed the corner of the second hotel; the red cross symbol glowed like it came from heaven through their eyes. With new found happiness the boys quickly ran to the front doors and bursted in through them, now that they were inside they quickly made their way into one of the rooms. "Alright time to find a cast for your wrist." Clyde exclaimed.
"Right!" Lincoln looks around the room in wonder on where to look first. "Maybe their on the counter." He goes to search, but Clyde had suddenly stepped in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. "Hold on their buddy."
"What's the problem Clyde?"
"You should rest up that wrist, I'll do the searching."
"Don't worry Clyde, I can search just fine."
"No, no Lincoln." Clyde gently, but firmly pulled Lincoln over to a exam bed and then placed him on it. "I insist. Besides you don't need to strain yourself."
Lincoln couldn't even say anything else before Clyde left to search for the cast. Seeing how he has nothing else to do now, Lincoln just sat there kicking his legs up and down as he watched Clyde searched on the counter, through the top cupboards, and a metal cabinet. "Here it is!" Clyde suddenly exclaimed.
He pulls out the cast from the cabinet and happily walked on over back to Lincoln. "Alright Lincoln. Time to apply this to your wrist."
"You know how to do it?" Lincoln question as this is a delicate appliance and he didn't want to sound rude, but he is a bit afraid that Clyde might mess it up. "Don't worry Lincoln. My dad taught me how to apply a cast."
"That's good." Lincoln said in relief.
Without a further delay, Clyde began to carefully work on the cast. Lincoln winced a bit, but kept as still as possible in order for Clyde to do his work. Clyde meanwhile had his tongue sticking out as he concentrated, then with a final click the cast is now firmly set in place. Now with his handiwork all finished, Clyde stepped back, clapping his hands with a proud smile on his face. "There we go, all finish."
Lincoln looks down to inspect his newly fitted cast that's colored blue with the Jurassic World logo in the middle. By all accounts from what he can see Clyde did a terrific job on setting this cast, his dad definitely did a good job on teaching him this trick. "Thanks buddy."
"No problem Lincoln." Clyde waved off before suddenly getting firm. "Now all you have to do is to wear that for about six to eight weeks. It may get itchy, but you can't take it off no matter what."
"Alright I got it Clyde." Lincoln said with a thumbs up before getting off the bed. "Now that this is complete. Why don't we head into one of the hotels and set up a temporary living space."
"Not a bad idea. It's a good shelter, has a lot of supplies and food to last us until someone comes to get us. Not to mention the higher floors should protect us from unwanted guests." Clyde exclaimed.
"Exactly" Lincoln stated with a point of his good hand.
The two leave the room and eventually out of the medical bay where they looked up to the hotel, trying to decide on which one to enter in. They suppose that it really shouldn't matter as their both the same on the inside with the only difference on being the shape of them. Eventually they decided that the one they first saw when they came out of the jungle would do.
They go past the corner where the grazing ouranosaurs came into view again, about halfway there one of them suddenly stops eating and stood up on its hind legs. The sudden movement made Lincoln and Clyde stop in their tracks in nervousness for were they going to attack them? Now alerted in extreme caution the two watched the dinosaur look behind itself with its mate looking up at it, they looked to be alerted of something which wasn't good. The raised ouranosaurus then let's out a cry and they both flee into the jungle, leaving Lincoln and Clyde to wonder what was up?
"Why did they run?" Clyde asked while holding his hands in front of him with clear nervousness.
"I don't-" A sudden booming sound cuts Lincoln off. "Whoa!" The sound is repeated with more booming sounds that are drawing closer along with the snapping of tree branches and the cries of frighten birds.
Coming out from the jungle, the boys felt like wetting themselves as a huge tyrannosaurus rex, (with fresh, dried claw marks on one side of her neck from a huge fight she had endured last night and faint scars on the other side from long ago during the Jurassic Park incident), stomped her foot on to the concrete ground. The gigantic predator looks down at the petrified boys with a growl, she then let's out a loud, mighty roar that shook the two to the very core.
"Run for it!" Lincoln and Clyde dashed off to the right, the heavy footsteps of the rex is heard as she goes to cut them off. They sharply turned a corner, the rex's large head appears above them and snaps her jaws at them, but thankfully missed as they fully turned the corner.
Reaching the hotel doors, the boys wasted no time to go through them and enter the building. Now safely inside the two stopped in the middle of the lobby, panting a bit which didn't last long as the heavy footsteps approached the doors. Fearfully looking back they watched as the head lowered down where the reptilian eye looks in on them from the glass doors, she looked at them for what seemed like forever before raising her head back up.
"It's okay, I think we're safe." Lincoln told Clyde in reassurance. The rex then suddenly smashed right through the entrance, glass and concrete flew everywhere as the two boys scattered in different directions with Clyde ducking behind a piller on the left hand side and Lincoln ducking behind the front desk.
The rex stood in the middle of the lobby, letting out a snarl as she looked around the place. Slowly turning her head forward, she lowers her snout to the floor and sniffed around, she then moved slowly towards the desk and sniffed it as Lincoln did his best to keep quiet and still as he quivered in fear. The quiver gets worse when the desk moved forward a bit as a low growl came from the other side of the thin wood that's between him and sharp teeth of the tyrannosaurus.
Peeking out from behind the pillar, Clyde watched the rex slightly bump the desk with her snout. Her eye suddenly looked in his general direction, holding in a loud gasp Clyde quickly ducked back behind the pillar, shortly afterwards he heard two heavy footsteps and then the snout appears on his left.
Shaking uncontrollably, Clyde practically drenched himself with sweat from how much fear he is feeling. Clyde slowly looked at the snout and saw the nose moving and the mouth slightly opening, the snout moves in more revealing much more of the head and eventually the eye that looked down at him.
Letting out a short yelp, Clyde dashed for the other pillar. The sudden movements had the rex move her head back and lunged for him, her mouth just misses him by a second. Clyde makes to the other pillar and clinged his back against it as the massive head appeared again with an annoyed roar that hurt Clyde's ears. Clyde stays as still as he can along with keeping his back against the pillar for the rex couldn't reach him from this position.
Lincoln meanwhile sees that his friend is in huge trouble and needed to find a way to help him. Looking on the desk, he searches for something to throw until he laid his eyes on a telephone. Quickly Lincoln unplugged the phone and uses all of his strength to throw it away from Clyde's position, the phone crashes on to the floor with a crash which alerts the tyrannosaurus. She moves her head away and looked in the general direction of the noise with a growl.
With this distraction Clyde makes a run for the non-moving escalator with Lincoln making a dash for it as well. The rex took notice of the two and immediately went after them with a roar. They reached the escalator in record speed and started to climb up them, they've reached halfway up when the rex clamped her mouth down behind them in a failed attempt to get Lincoln. Holding it within her mouth, she pulls the escalator apart, collapsing the steps beneath Lincoln and Clyde who fell hard on to the floor, a shot of pain struck them throughout their bodies, but thankfully nothing is broken or in Lincoln's case nothing else is broken.
The rex meanwhile with a piece of the escalator In her mouth looks down at them briefly before tossing it away into the wall with a great crash. Not wasting any time Lincoln and Clyde get themselves up and ran out of the hotel, the tyrannosaurus goes in pursuit once again.
"Quick into the trees!" Lincoln told Clyde for the thick trees might stop the rex who had just exited out from the hotel. Reaching the jungle they brush pass ferns and bushes while the snapping of branches came from behind them. They soon make it to a very thick part and jumped in-between thick tree, the rex tries to fallow, but only her front half goes through. She struggles a bit, then let's out a angry roar towards her escape prey that continued to run until they were out of sight.
