I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon and Jurassic Park/World belongs to Universal.
The very next day; the early morning sun has shown the mess that the storm has left behind, ranging from branches to some fallen trees. The smell of wet plants also lingers as well as puddles that have turned into small drinking sources for animals that pass by them.
Stepping out of the bungalow much later in the morning, both Lincoln and Clyde groaned in tiredness for they have had the worst sleep in their whole lives as the floor of the bungalow was absolutely terrible for it had been too hard and too cold. Their faces also didn't look so great as there are visible bumps, scraps, cuts, bruises, and dried mud covering them, along with some parts of their arms. But at least they are wearing clean clothes from their shopping spree yesterday, so there's that very small glitter of positivity.
"Well that was the worst night of our lives." Lincoln exclaimed as he cracked his back.
"I think it beats that sleepover we had at Rusty's." Clyde added.
Walking down the porch steps the wrecked trailer comes into view, coming up to the wreck with frowns on their faces for the rex had did a real number on the trailer. There is relatively no way that anything could've survived this wreck, including the radio.
What a disaster this has been; loosing a comfortable place to sleep along with a chance to get themselves rescued. Sure there are other radios on the island, but that one had been their best bet and now they are going to have to find something else which is going to be more difficult as they didn't know where to go.
"Oh man this bites."
"Tell me about it Lincoln." Clyde kicks away a small rock. "We don't have anything to contact a rescue team with and what's worse? Is that this place is a mess."
"Um, Clyde. I believe loosing our tool for getting off this island is the much bigger problem here." Lincoln points out.
"I know, but I'm just saying that our shelter site has become a bit sloppy." Clyde counters.
"True, but this situation outweighs the other." Lincoln now began to think hard over their next move of action. "Maybe there is something inside one of the labs that we can use."
"Which one though? The one in the Innovation Center? The genetics lab? Or some other lab that's on the island?"
"Hmm, the one in the Innovation Center would have more things since it is the main lab. Yet, that one is dangerous to go to since the rex might be at main street. So that leaves the genetics lab." Lincoln deduced.
"I taken we should head over there right now?"
"You got it Clyde."
Clyde nods before walking back towards the bungalo. "Alright let me get the map."
The map had lead them to a very dense part of the jungle. Dense enough that they had to trudge through bushes, push by ferns, and step through tall patches of grass. "You sure the map is telling us to go through this way?" Lincoln asked.
"Well according to the map. Yes." Clyde confirmed causing Lincoln to shrug. "Well alright, we'll just have watch out for leeches."
Clyde suddenly went wide eyed and temples a bit. "You mean like that one on your arm?" Clyde points out in alarm.
Looking down, Lincoln sees that there is indeed a leech attached to his arm, sucking away on his blood. Bells rang in his head over this sight, in a panic Lincoln grabbed hold of the leech and pulls it out of his arm leaving behind a bite mark with blood leaking out. The leech wiggles in his hand trying to find a new spot to attach itself to. In disgust Lincoln tosses the leech into the ferns.
Shivering from that encounter, Lincoln forces himself to calm down. "Well I'm glad that's over." But Clyde continued to point at him with that alarmed look on his face. "There's more on me isn't there?"
Clyde uneasily nodded and pointed to his own neck to indicate on where it is. "Of course there is." Lincoln said in a deadpanned before he reached up for his neck with closed eyes as he prepared to rip out another leech.
After ripping off even more unwanted guests from his body. The two have wandered into a swampy area where unfortunately their problems with bloodsuckers were far from over as now mosquitoes have join in on the feast.
Between the slapping of mosquitoes and the terrain of the swamp, they were both really hating this way to the genetics lab. Clyde soon slaps himself on the cheek after feeling the bite of another mosquito, however the slap stung as he had did it much harder than he had intended. "Ow. Man, I hope that genetics lab is worth this trek."
"It's gotta be Clyde. It's just gotta be." Lincoln insisted.
"Well I wished we had some bug spray." Clyde then slapped his forehead, when he lowered his hand back down he saw the squished mosquito laying on it, twitching its wings. Disgusted Clyde shook it off his hand, while more mosquitoes buzz around him and Lincoln.
But suddenly something flew passed Clyde's head making him jump in surprise. "What was that?"
"What was what?" Lincoln asked.
"Something just flew passed me." Clyde replied. The thing then flew pass Lincoln's side with an auditable snap as whatever it was caught a mosquito. Both boys turned to look at the thing that glided down to ground with elegance, it is covered in red feathers which at first glance it must be some kind of bird. However the more they looked at it, the more they came to the realization that it isn't a bird, but instead a dinosaur and by looking at the curved toe claws on the small dinosaur's foot, it is clear that it is part of the raptor family. The boys didn't know the name of this dinosaur, but it is a microraptor.
The microraptor stood there shallowing up its catch and it wasn't alone as four more microraptors have glided down to join in with their fellow flock member. Letting out chirps the small dinosaurs communicated with each other, while one of them shook its wings in a great display of feathers.
Lincoln and Clyde watched them silently as this is truly a sight to see. It was just on how bird like they looked and not to mention acted, the two didn't even knew that Jurassic World had these bird like dinosaurs or that they lived in this swampy area, but yet seeing on how they snatch up those mosquitoes, they guessed that it is a great place to get their food.
The microraptors chatted some more for a little awhile, before they moved off towards the trees and climbed up them to a good height then jumped off to glide in the air with their wings. They swoop down, snatching up the mosquitoes with grace, it's truly a spectacle to be seen, especially with how the sun lit up their feathers from where Lincoln and Clyde stood.
The microraptors soon glided off in a different direction and out of sight, ending the show for Lincoln and Clyde. "Now that was something to watch."
"Sure was Clyde. Too bad we can't fallow them."
"That is a big shame, but you know we just can't go all willy nilly through this swamp." Clyde pointed out.
Turning away from where they saw the microraptors glide off to, the boys continued to walk their way down the swamp. They are being cautious as they walked through as they didn't want to get stuck in thick mud, fall in the water, and of course watched out for quicksand. The two are soon walking across a bay area, both are staying as far away from the edge as possible. Glancing up to across the water the two spot a small herd of Stygimoloch. The hard headed dinosaurs stood in a circle as they watched two males call out to each other.
"I wonder what's going on over there?" Lincoln pondered.
"They must be fighting for dominance or something." Clyde answered as they continued to watch the two dinosaurs as they circled each other.
One of them makes a cry and charged, resulting in a crash of their heads that banged like a baseball bat hitting something metal. The two dinosaurs banged each other repeatedly on the heads as they tried to make one another to back down. They are swift as they twisted and turned, their fight leads them close to the waters edge where one of them found a opening and slammed his head against the other's side, pushing him into the water with a splash. As the wet Stygimoloch gets back up on his feet, the victor stood proudly as he lets out loud shrieks while he threateningly shook his head.
Safely from the other side of the water, both Lincoln and Clyde had their mouths agape as that sure had been a fight to observe, they didn't even get to say anything when suddenly out from the bushes the blue raptor erupted out in full speed. The Stygimoloch herd only had time to let out a few cries when she jumped on one of them, the unfortunate victim lets out desperate cries as he tried to get the raptor off him and back up on his feet.
The raptor kicks with her left two claw, cutting open the stomach, spilling out his intestines, then she grabbed the throat that with a shake she kills her prey. The rest of the herd had fled at the moment she landed on him, leaving the raptor with her prey that she happily began to feast on.
Shocked on what they have witnessed, Lincoln and Clyde have lost their ability to speak. Although for poor Clyde he had fainted himself out cold after seeing the first sight of guts. Lincoln looked between him and the eating raptor. "Alright, I think that's enough observing for one day." Grabbing Clyde by his feet, Lincoln drags Clyde away from the sight.
After leaving the swamp some time later, Clyde had regain full consciousness, but yet still felt a bit queasy as the image of dinosaur guts popped up, it made him want to faint again.
"Well buddy, you'll soon forget about on what we saw earlier." Lincoln spoke up.
"I don't know how I'm going to be doing that, as that had been very brutal." Clyde replied as he felt his face turn green a bit.
"Simple pal. For we have just reached." Pulling away a fern leaf, Lincoln moved his hand as if presenting something. "The genetics lab."
"Uh, that's not the genetics lab." Clyde pointed out.
"What?" Looking over, Lincoln sees that it wasn't the genetics lab and instead a much bigger and longer building. They must've taken a wrong turn or have misread the map. "Well this puts a damper on things." He exclaimed.
"Maybe not all hope is lost Lincoln. There may as well be something in there that we could use." Clyde assured.
"Good point Clyde." Going up to the building, Lincoln opens up the door and they both entered. The inside of the building is a hallway with pipes on the walls and doors that are locked, it's also a bit dark in here what with no lights on. Turning on a corner the two boys eventually came across a door that has E750 labeled on it. Their curiosity is peaked when they read that label as what did E750 mean? Is it a room? or a testing site?
Unlike the other doors, this one opened up with no problem. Revealing that it's a office that must've belonged to a scientist as evidence by the equations on a whiteboard and the various papers on the desk. "This is a nice office. I wonder who this belonged to?" Clyde exclaimed.
Checking the desk, Lincoln spots a familiar name on a name tag. "Looks like this had been one of Dr. Wu's private offices."
"Oh, well it's a good thing he's not here right now. Or else he would've gotten angry with us like he had been with Brooklyn." Clyde said, remembering that day when they had witnessed Bumpy's birth.
"You know something Clyde."
"What Lincoln?"
"I bet he was working on something in here."
Clyde trailed his eyes on over to the corner of the office and went pale. "You mean like that." He pointed out with a shaky finger.
Looking behind him, Lincoln's eyes rested on a large, frozen tube that definitely had something frozen inside of it. "What's inside that tube Lincoln?"
"I don't know Clyde, but let's not touch it as the last thing we need to do is to accidentally shut it down and free whatever's in there."
"That's an idea I can get behind." Clyde agreed.
Turning away from the frozen tube, the two looked around the office for anything. They found a laptop, but like the one back in the bungalow, they could not get on the internet. It had been the same issue with a tablet that they have found on the floor, the two continued to search throughout the office for what must've been an hour when the strangest thing occurred. They have just pushed aside some papers when the office lit up, it had been so sudden that the two had jumped.
"Huh? What's going on?" Clyde question, feeling very startled at the sudden brightness.
"The lights are on." Lincoln answered while looking up at the lights that buzzed.
"But how? I thought the power was off for the entire island." Clyde exclaimed.
"Maybe this building is run by geothermal power." Lincoln suggested.
"But if that's the case. Then why is it turning on now?" Clyde points out which definitely threw a wrench in Lincoln's suggestion. "Alright you got me there Clyde. This is definitely strange."
Clyde suddenly brightens up as a new, wonderful thought came to him. "Maybe the power is back on because someone is on the island. A rescue team perhaps."
A feeling of hope raised inside of both of them as that could very well be true. A rescue team must've been assembled to find anyone that missed the evacuation. It is great! They are are finally getting rescued from this island. All they need to do is find the rescue team and then they'll be on a one way ticket back towards home.
They didn't want to waste any time, so in a flash they left the office with such speed that some of the papers flew off the desk. Shortly after they left the office, a spark comes out from beneath the tube, shutting it down with a low whine. The cold mist dissipates and the ice began to drib from the heat.
Coming out of the building; Lincoln and Clyde are surprised to see that that its night, they guessed that they've been inside the building much longer than they thought. But that doesn't matter right now, they needed to find the rescue team before they decided to leave the island.
"Alright, so where do we go to find that rescue team?" Clyde asked.
"The best place to go is main street as that would be one of the first places to look for anyone left behind." Lincoln pointed out.
"But what about the T-Rex?" Clyde asked in dread for he definitely didn't want to have another encounter with the large predator. Neither did Lincoln who one hundred percent knew that they would need to be extremely lucky to avoid her. "We just need to hope that she isn't around." Was all that Lincoln could say.
Clyde nodded in understandment, then he and Lincoln ran off towards the direction of main street, very determine not to miss out on getting off the island this time.
They managed to reach the lit up main street from the west. The area looked beautiful on how lit up it is at night, but the boys have to hold in their appreciation for now as they are currently on a very important mission at the moment. But the two are overall glad that they had no unintended complications during their run here, it is either luck or that most of the dinosaurs were asleep, although when they were getting close to main street they did hear what sounded like a gunshot being fired from somewhere. The sound of a gun surprised them greatly, but then they figured that it might be another team that are scoping the ground, who are armed with guns to defend themselves against any dinosaur attacks.
Anyhow Lincoln steps onto the familiar concrete ground of the west boardwalk. "At last Clyde. Our moment of freedom of this island is almost upon us."
"Yes, I can't wait to be on that plane home. A full on air conditioner, good food, and comfortable seat plane ride home." Clyde could already see it. Him and Lincoln sitting down comfortably as they rode the plane back to Michigan.
"Then being home with our families and friends." Lincoln happily added.
"Yeah, I can hardly wait." The two reached tht middle of main street, they looked down towards the Innovation Center where a hologram of a T-Rex is roaring on top of the staircase. That was fine, for as long it isn't the real T-Rex, they'll gladly settle with a hologram any day. The only question was where is the recuse team?
"They must be in the Innovation Center." Lincoln suggested.
"Yeah, that would make sense. Inside would be safer and a great place to setup a base of operations." Clyde adds.
"Well what are we waiting for?" The two merely raised their legs up, when their ears picked up heavy footsteps on their right. Grimacing they turned their heads to see an allosaurus stomping down the east boardwalk.
"Oh perfect." Lincoln remarked sarcastically.
Roaring upon seeing them, the allosaurus charges at them. Lincoln and Clyde dash down main street, they get halfway down when they suddenly stopped in their tracks as Toro had appeared on the left side. He walks up to the front of the Innovation Center, where he looked up at the hologram rex with curiosity. Looking at Toro, Lincoln and Clyde quickly noticed on how different he looked than from the last time they encountered him. His body is burned, they guessed that Toro had a run in with fire or something in order to burn his body like that.
He is soon done with looking at the hologram, Toro turned his head in their direction and roared. He received a roar back from the allosaurus who stood at the end of main street. The humans are instantly forgotten about as the two predators eyed each other, while they sized each other up.
Lincoln and Clyde knew where this was going and ran into a clothes shop to take shelter from what was coming.
The two predators slowly walked up to each other and then began to circle around, waiting to see who would make the first move. Toro snaps his jaws at the allosaurus who let out a roar, she moves forward and bites down on Toro's snout who squirmed himself out of the allosaurus's grip, he lowers his head down and headbutts the allosaurus's chest, pushing her back.
Letting out another roar at each other, Toro goes to do the same move again, only to get slapped away by the claws of the allosaurus's right hand, blood leaks out from mark left behind on his face as he lets out a whine and shook his head. The allosaurus moves in and grabbed him by the neck, Toro roared as he struggled to get out of the grip the allosaurus had on him, but then got slammed to the ground with a thud.
Releasing the neck, the allosaurus aims to bite down on the stomach, only to get kicked back by Toro's foot that struck her in the face. He quickly gets back up on his feet, then bit down on the left arm. In response the allosaurus bites down on his face, forcing him to let go. She then uses her body to slam against his, pushing him away from her.
As the predators fought; Lincoln and Clyde peeked out from behind a rack of shirts. This was an intense and although they are perfectly safe inside this shop, they needed to get to the Innovation Center before the team took off, of course they weren't insane enough to wander out into the street while those two were fighting as they could either get stomped on by a foot or get crushed under a body.
Looking sideways Lincoln sees that the shop is connected to a restaurant. Smiling Lincoln taps Clyde's shoulder to get his attention and then motions the opening they had. In a hurry they went into the restaurant, a bang is heard outside as the allosaurus pushed Toro against the building, shaking it up a bit which made them stop as the two have thought that the roof was going to collapse. Seeing how it wasn't, the boys went on their way of cutting through the buildings. They exited out through a Starbucks and went up the sidesteps leading up to the Innovation Center, halfway up them Clyde stopped to look at the fight.
Toro puts his head underneath the allosaurus's belly and pushes her to down to her side. Letting out a roar at the fallen allosaurus, Toro suddenly looked over to Clyde making him freeze up in fear.
Roaring in anger, Toro started to walk on over to the frozen boy. Behind him the allosaurus gets back up on her feet, she lunges forward and bites down on Toro's horn, stopping him in his tracks and instead pulls him so that his side is facing Clyde. Speaking of Clyde, he shakes himself loose from his frozen state and ran into the safety of the Innovation Center where a automatic voice greeted him. "Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 7.5 to 8 m (24.6 to 26.2 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons)."
"That's nice to know." Clyde remarked in sarcasm. Looking around the Innovation Center; he sees many lit up displays of dinosaur and genetics facts, a fossil dig up attraction, a TV screen that replayed the scene of a asteroid impacting Earth, and holographic Earths during the stages of the Mesozoic era. The one thing that isn't here though is the rescue team that they hoped for. "Where's the team?" Clyde asked in a panic tone.
"Perhaps in the control room." Lincoln suggested, though it is a desperate one.
"Right, right and the control room is passed the Hammond Creation Lab." Clyde points over to the hallway passed the statue of Jurassic Park founder: John Hammond.
Going into the Hammond Creation Lab, they walked through a hallway with glass on both sides which displayed the workings of the main lab. One of the glass had been smashed with all its pieces scattered all over the floor, but yet what caught their attention is a open backroom. They wanted to check it out, but they had to get to the control room in order not to miss the rescue team, perhaps they can check it out on their way back.
Toro got slammed on to the ground again. The allosaurus stood above him huffing before grabbing him by the neck, lifted him back up to his feet and slammed him into a palm tree that collapses, with him falling on top of the fallen tree.
Whining in pain, Toro slowly gets back up. The allosaurus let's out a series of loud roars making Toro back up a bit, before he turned around and ran off down the street with the allosaurus chasing after him.
The elevator doors swing open to the control room, who's screens are all black despite the returned of power. "Hello? Hello? Is there anyone here?" Lincoln called out in vain as despite the place being deserted, there just has to be someone here.
Clyde sighed sadly for it seems like that they were wrong. The rescue team must be somewhere else or worse case scenario they got eaten by something. "I believe we're too late Lincoln." He said lowly.
"No! There has to be somewhere here! The power came back on! We heard a gunshot!" Lincoln went on over to a station where dinosaur toys are position on top of it and slammed the keyboard with his fist. "I know there is someone on this island besides us!"
The computer screen suddenly lit up and on the network setting it showed that it was connected to the internet. Lincoln looked at the icon in disbelief as this couldn't be true, this must be a trick. Lincoln grabs the mouse and moves it to the internet icon and clicks it, the screen switches to a internet home page.
This is true! The internet is on and they can finally go on a social media site, and Lincoln knew exactly on where to go.
Back at Michigan; a computer dinged as a new notification came through.
A very sadden Rita approached the dining room table. It had been a month since she had sent her baby to the now forever closed Jurassic World and while they maintain hope that he and Clyde were still alive, thanks to the tracker Lisa had in him, which they definitely question Lisa about. Disaster had struck after the latest explosion from a failed chemical experiment which destroyed Lisa's computer and tablet.
They are now blind to Lincoln's whereabouts on that island. And over time they began to fear the worst and sadly started to believe that their son and brother has unfortunately been killed. Things have become very depressed in the household, Lincoln's room has remain untouched, but the most striking thing is the uneasy silence. The Mcbride household is much worse, both Howard and Harold have done nothing but sit on their couch, staring at the wall as they held Clyde's leftover shirt.
Rita sits herself down and attended her computer. It looks like that she has gotten another question for her parenting column on the newspaper. She sighed as she didn't feel like answering a question right now, but she might as well check it out anyway.
Going to her homepage, she felt a strong shock strike her as she read the notification. She then felt pure utter joy in the first time in weeks. "Lincoln's alive. My baby is alive."
