Chapter 4: One for All Training

Musutafu Streets - Morning

Izuku stared at All Might with a curious gaze. "What do you mean about my future as a hero?" Midoriya asked.

All Might smiled, looking at Midoriya with a serious yet kind expression. "Young Midoriya, I've been watching you for a while now. Your bravery and determination have impressed me greatly," All Might began. "Even though you are quirkless, you have the heart of a true hero."

Midoriya's eyes widened in surprise. "B-but All Might, how can I become a hero without a quirk?" he stammered.

All Might chuckled softly. "That's precisely why I'm here. You see, I wasn't always as powerful as I am now. My quirk, One For All, is unique in that it can be passed from one person to another. And I have decided that you, Young Midoriya, are worthy of being my successor."

Midoriya's jaw dropped, tears welling up in his eyes. "You mean... I can inherit your power?" he asked, almost unable to believe what he was hearing.

"Yes," All Might confirmed. "But it won't be easy. You'll have to train hard to be able to handle it. Are you ready for that challenge?"

Midoriya nodded vigorously, determination shining in his eyes. "Yes, All Might! I'll do whatever it takes!"

All Might's smile widened. "I knew you would say that. Let's get started, shall we?"

Midoriya took a deep breath, steeling himself to voice his request to All Might. "I have one condition, All Might," he began, his voice steady but firm. "If I'm to inherit One For All and become the next Symbol of Peace, I need to keep my miraculous."

All Might's eyebrows furrowed in surprise at the unexpected request. "Your miraculous?" he echoed, puzzled.

Midoriya nodded, his resolve unwavering. "Yes, my miraculous," he affirmed. "Ravage has been by my side through thick and thin, guiding me and helping me become the hero I am today. If I give up my miraculous, I fear I'll lose more than just a power. I'll lose a part of myself and the bond I share with Ravage."

All Might considered Midoriya's words carefully, understanding the significance of what he was asking. The relationship between a miraculous holder and their kwami was deeply personal and unique, a source of strength and support in times of need.

After a moment of silence, All Might nodded solemnly. "Very well, Midoriya," he conceded. "I understand the importance of your bond with Ravage. If keeping your miraculous is what you believe is necessary to fulfill your destiny, then I won't stand in your way."

A sense of relief washed over Midoriya as he heard All Might's acceptance of his condition. He knew that the road ahead would be challenging, but with Ravage by his side and the guidance of his mentor, he felt ready to face whatever trials awaited him as the next Symbol of Peace.

All right, young Midoriya, tomorrow, meet me at Dagobah Beach Park to start your training," All Might instructed.

"Okay," Midoriya replied, a little nervous.

Ravage chimed in, attempting to reassure him, "Don't worry, izuku. You've got this!"

"Izuku, you're about to embark on an incredible journey," Ravage continued, "and I'll be right there with you every step of the way."

Midoriya nodded, feeling a surge of determination. "Thanks, Ravage. I couldn't do this without you."

With a supportive smile from Ravage and a reassuring nod from All Might, Midoriya felt a newfound confidence as he prepared himself for the challenges ahead.

Dagobah Beach Park- Morning

The next day

The next day, All Might asked Midoriya to meet him at Dagobah Beach Park to begin their training for the U.A. entrance exam. Since it wasn't a school day, it was the perfect opportunity to start early.

Midoriya arrived at Dagobah Beach Park, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He knew this training would be crucial for his future as a hero.

"All right, Izuku," Ravage said, using Midoriya's first name to reassure him. "You've got this. Just remember everything we've been through together."

Midoriya nodded, grateful for Ravage's encouragement. He took a deep breath and approached All Might, ready to begin his journey towards becoming a hero.

"Umm, All Might, why did you ask me to come out here early in the morning to this beach?" Midoriya asked, holding up his hand.

"Because, young Midoriya," All Might replied. "The U.A. entrance exam is 10 months away, so the sooner we start, the better. You might have your miraculous, but to obtain One For All, you need to work yourself to the bone. You need to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit. So, the first part of your training is to clean this entire beach."

"Clean the entire beach?" Midoriya repeated, a bit surprised.

"Yes, young Midoriya," All Might affirmed with a serious nod. "A hero's journey begins with humility and responsibility. Cleaning this beach will not only help us maintain our environment but also instill discipline and perseverance in you."

Midoriya nodded, understanding the importance of the task. "I'll do my best, All Might."

"That's the spirit, young Midoriya!" All Might exclaimed, clapping a hand on Midoriya's shoulder. "Remember, every step you take on this journey brings you closer to your goal."

As Midoriya began cleaning the beach, they worked diligently picking up litter and debris scattered across the sand.

"This might seem like a mundane task, but it's the foundation of heroism," All Might explained as they worked. "Heroes don't just jump into action; they start by making the world a better place in any way they can."

Midoriya nodded, feeling a sense of purpose as he worked. "I understand, All Might. Every action counts, no matter how small."

"Exactly, young Midoriya," All Might replied with a proud smile. "And remember, heroes are not defined by their quirks or powers alone, but by their actions and the impact they have on others."

With those words in mind, Midoriya continued the task, determined to make a difference, one piece of trash at a time.

Dagobah Beach Park - Afternoon

2 Months later

For the next few months, Midoriya embarked on rigorous training for the U.A. entrance exam while juggling his daily responsibilities. He dragged heavy objects around without relying on his superhuman strength to build muscle, and he carried lightweight items while running to a broken pickup truck to strengthen his legs.

"No matter how much trash I move around, it barely looks like I'm making a dent," Midoriya said, collapsing from exhaustion.

"You're doing an excellent job," All Might reassured him, walking beside him. "You've managed to clean about 32% of the beach, and you're still making good progress." All Might checked his phone to monitor the amount of trash they had removed from the beach.

"What do you think, Ravage?" Midoriya asked as Ravage emerged from his pocket.

Ravage perched on Midoriya's shoulder, surveying the beach with a keen eye. "You know, Izuku, progress isn't always about how much you can physically accomplish in a day. It's also about the dedication and effort you put into each task, no matter how small it may seem."

Midoriya nodded, wiping the sweat from his brow. "Yeah, you're right, Ravage. It's just frustrating sometimes, you know? I want to be stronger, faster, better... But it feels like I'm barely scratching the surface."

"It's natural to feel frustrated, especially when you have such lofty goals," Ravage replied sagely. "But remember, every step forward, no matter how small, is still progress. And each day you push yourself, you're one step closer to reaching your full potential."

Midoriya sighed, a mix of exhaustion and determination in his eyes. "Thanks, Ravage. I needed to hear that. I won't give up, no matter how tough it gets."

"Exactly," Ravage chimed in, a hint of pride in his voice. "You've already come so far, Izuku. And with each passing day, you'll only grow stronger. Just keep believing in yourself, and you'll achieve greatness."

"Dagobah Beach Park - Afternoon

5 Months Later.

"I'm finally done!" Midoriya exclaimed as he stood atop a giant pile of trash, surveying the newly cleaned beach that he had worked tirelessly to clean up. Not a single piece of trash remained.

Throughout these past months, All Might had been impressed by Midoriya's development. He had cleaned the entire beach without leaving a speck of dust. All Might was amazed that they had managed to clean up all of the garbage with only 3 months left before the entrance exam.

"Wow, Young Midoriya, you are quite something. Well done," All Might said as he hopped off the giant pile of trash and landed on the beach.

"I... did... it... Ravage," Midoriya said, breathing heavily as he popped out of his pocket.

Izuku, you did it!" Ravage exclaimed, his voice filled with pride. "I always knew you had it in you. Your determination and hard work have paid off."

Midoriya grinned, feeling a surge of accomplishment wash over him. "Thanks, Ravage. I couldn't have done it without your support and encouragement."

All Might approached, a proud smile on his face. "Midoriya, you've surpassed all my expectations. Your dedication to this training has been nothing short of remarkable."

"Thank you, All Might," Midoriya replied, bowing respectfully. "I couldn't have asked for a better mentor. Your guidance has been invaluable."

With the beach now spotless, Midoriya felt a sense of satisfaction like never before. It was a tangible reminder of how far he had come and the heights he could reach with hard work and determination. As he stood there, surrounded by his mentor and his loyal kwami, he knew that he was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead at the U.A. entrance exam.

"Now then, since you've already trained to handle your miraculous abilities, your body should be strong enough to withstand the incredible power of One For All," All Might explained.

"Wait, what do you mean by that?" Midoriya asked, confusion evident in his voice.

"My quirk, One For All, is a lot to handle! It combines the physical abilities of everyone who's used it, creating a hurricane of pure force. An unprepared body can't fully inherit it. Your arms and legs would shoot off if you tried to!" All Might explained, causing Ravage to imagine Midoriya's limbs exploding off his body, much to their horror.

"SERIOUSLY?!" Midoriya exclaimed in horror.

"Yes, it is, but there's no need to worry since your body is strong enough to handle my quirk," All Might reassured them.

After calming down, Midoriya asked his hero, "So what happens now?"

"Now this, Young Midoriya," All Might said, walking up to the boy .

All Might plucked a hair from his head, twirling it with his fingers.

"Someone told me this once. That there's a difference between being lucky and deserving. One is an accident, the other a reward. Never get the two confused!" Midoriya looked up, connecting their eyes with the large man. "Take that to heart, young man. This gift. You've earned it with your own valiant efforts," All Might said.

Midoriya and Ravage smiled as they heard All Might's words. They knew what he said was true, and that Midoriya took pride in the fact that he did indeed earn his quirk and was worthy to inherit it.

With a nod back, All Might presented the strand of hair to Midoriya, who looked at it with curiosity.

"Eat this," All Might said as he held the strand of hair towards Midoriya.

Midoriya was speechless as he slowly comprehended what the number one hero was saying.

"What?" Ravage asked, confused.

The man rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "To inherit my power, you've got to swallow some of my DNA! That's how it works! And this method is the least disgusting one!" The hero explained.

"This isn't exactly how I imagined it..." Midoriya panicked.

"Come on, what are you waiting for?!" All Might shouted. "You want my power, correct?! And we have to get you ready so that you're able to use One For All efficiently before the U.A entrance exam .! Eat! Eat! EAT!"

Then All Might took the strand of hair and forced Midoriya to swallow it, making the boy cringe as he suppressed his gag reflex and swallowed as hard as he could, feeling the strand of hair going down his throat.

"Good. You swallowed it, yes?" All Might asked as Midoriya finished.

Midoriya's stomach churned, sighing as he looked down at his hands. "Yeah, but I don't feel like anything's different yet."

All Might threw his head back in laughter, spreading out his arms. "Well, of course not! Young Midoriya's body has to process the hair first!" He turned, glancing down at his watch . "Hm... It should kick in after 2, maybe 3 hours. But we can start your training pretty soon," All Might said, pouring a glass of water for Midoriya, who accepted it.

Ravage chimed in, "Indeed, Midoriya. You've come a long way, and this is just another step in your journey to becoming a great hero."

Midoriya nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness coursing through him. "I'm ready, All Might. I'll do whatever it takes to master One For All."

All Might grinned, a glint of pride in his eyes. "That's the spirit, young Midoriya! Now, let's get started with your training."

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the beach, Midoriya felt a surge of determination. With All Might by his side and Ravage offering support, he knew he was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead on his path to becoming the greatest hero.

Ookami Residence - Evening

**Flashback**

Jake and Fang sat in the kitchen, the tension palpable as Jake recounted everything to Fang. He explained about the miraculous, how he rescued an old man, how he became Beetle, and how he worked together with Shadow Claw to take down Grim Sludge.

"Any questions?" Jake asked, with Kwasi sitting on his shoulder.

Fang looked serious, his usual playful demeanor gone. "Jake, that's incredible. I can't believe you've been doing all this. But before we talk more about that, I have something important to tell you."

Jake frowned, noticing the worry in Fang's eyes. "What is it, Fang?"

"Dad's in the hospital," Fang said quietly, his voice trembling slightly. "He fell into a coma after the Grim Sludge fight. The doctors are doing everything they can, but it's serious."

Jake's heart sank. "What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I only just found out myself," Fang replied, his eyes downcast. "I wanted to wait until you were done talking about your... hero stuff. I know how important it is to you."

Jake placed a reassuring hand on Fang's shoulder. "Thanks for telling me. We need to go see him. But first, about what I told you..."

Fang nodded, his expression still serious. "Yeah, the whole superhero thing. It's amazing and all, but... are you sure you're okay with it? I mean, it sounds like a lot of responsibility."

"It is," Jake admitted, glancing at Kwasi, who chirped in agreement. "But it's worth it, knowing that we're making a difference and keeping people safe."

Kwasi added solemnly, "Indeed. The responsibility of being a hero is a heavy burden to bear, but it is also a great honor."

Fang sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I get that. And I'm proud of you, Jake. Really, I am. But right now, we need to focus on Dad."

Jake nodded. "You're right. Let's get to the hospital. But Fang, there's something important I need to ask you."

"What is it?"

"You have to keep my miraculous and me being Beetle a secret. If anyone finds out, I might have to give it up, and I'm nothing without it. I'm still quirkless, remember?"

Fang looked at him, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Don't worry, Jake. Your secret's safe with me. No one will find out."

Jake smiled, feeling a surge of gratitude for his brother. "Thanks, Fang. That means a lot. Now let's go see Dad."

With Kwasi safely tucked away, the brothers hurried out of the house, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead as a family.
