"Wait." Amy said. "You have to see what's back here first. This is bad, guys." Cordelia stayed with Xander and Faith kept an eye on the strange Wesen while Amy showed Paul and Rory what they'd found.
Detective Paul Stein struggled with his woge and lost, the sight of that drug den would haunt him for a long time. "This is, what the Hell has he been doing in my town?!"
"Some of these people won't survive detoxing, they're too far gone." Rory stated, equally as horrified. "We need answers, we need to know if this is connected to something bigger, we need to know if he's got a supplier or if he's growing the shit himself, but he's earned himself the death penalty for this." He backed out of the horror show in front him and silently returned to the fallen Wesen. "Amy, you said he's part Zauberbiest?"
"Yes, his Magic tastes like all our Magic, he's twisted it somehow, dirtied it in the process, but at the base, it's Zauberbiest Magic."
Rory pulled his sword and cut his hand and then the strange Wesen's hand and laid his bloody hand over the Wesen's.
"What are you doing?" Paul asked.
"A Grimm's blood can destroy a Hexenbiest, make them human, I'm seeing if it'll do the same for a half Zauberbiest. Without his Magic, it'll be easier to get answers. This is no longer a police matter, Paul. That drug den and him being Wesen makes it a Grimm matter."
"I'm alright with that." Paul decided. "And I'll keep it to myself what a Grimm's blood can do to Hexenbiests and Zauberbiests." Watching as a ghostly image rose from the Zauberbiest and dissipated. "Seems to have worked. Alright, let's get Xander to the hospital, Rory, you, me and Amy will check his Magic business, see what we can find in there. As for him, Faith use these cuffs on him." The Detective handed them to her and she quickly secured his hands behind him. "Keep an eye on him, if we can find the answers we need in his shop, we won't need to keep him alive to get those answers. If we don't, than we'll have to take him somewhere and question him."
Matthew got Xander into Diana's car and Margaret and Tika, along with Cordelia joined them. "I'm staying here, I want to see this through to the end."
"Agreed." Paul nodded. Matthew watched as Rory, Paul and Amy entered the shop and then turned to Faith. "What did you guys find that has them so upset?"
"The next level of what this guy's been doing. A drug den and some of them probably won't survive detoxing."
"And that's what he intended for my daughter?"
"Once he had her fully hooked? Probably."
In the shop Amy tested for Magic and found something interesting. "The light over the door has a spell on." She told the two men. "Let me see if I can make it visible." Once she'd succeeded in doing that she began analysing it while the two men searched the shop. An inspection of the back area confirmed something.
"He's growing it himself." Paul growled. "This place should be burned to the ground."
"The Magic has to be taken apart first, once that's done let's have a bonfire." Rory agreed. "Let's collect any books or papers, see if there's an office. That may give us a client list, I'm pretty sure there's more than just the people in that hole that have been affected by this."
"There's several hundred Wesen in this town, not to mention normal humans that do Magic." Paul agreed. "He'd have to have some kind of system to keep track of them and look, there's the Gila monster the kid mentioned. That really is a big Gila monster."
"I think it might be more than a Gila monster." Amy said, staring at the creature. "I'm tasting Magic around it. It might be a person he transformed."
"And is keeping as a pet?!" Paul exclaimed. "Oh gods, this guy is sick. Do you think you can reverse it, Amy?"
"Like the Wards, I'll have to study it, but eventually I should be able to." She answered, telekinetically lifting the cage up and carrying it towards the front of the shop. "I've figured out the light by the way. It's a warning system, it changes color based on whether a normal human or a Wesen passes under it. In wave lengths that are outside normal human vision. It's probably safe to say he has an extended vision range."
"And that's how he knows which clients he can offer the Jay to." Paul shook his head in disgust, this whole case was getting to him. He began collecting the files in the office and once he had everything gathered, he and Rory loaded it in the trunk of his car, it would take time to go through it all. "He's growing it himself, we have the important answers that we need. I'll go through these papers and find out if there's anything else concerning."
"And I'll take him out in the desert and dispose of him." Rory decided. "The mystery of what else he is might not be one we can solve, but that's just curiosity."
"I'm coming with, Rory. My kids could have been some of those that died because of him." Matthew said determinedly.
"You sure, Matt? It changes you, doing that." Rory said quietly.
"Normal humans can be deadly too, Rory. Especially when it comes to protecting our kids. I'm sure." Together they stuffed the strange Wesen in the trunk of Matthew's car and silently climbed in the front seats and drove off. Merrick Rack was never seen again.
