"So, we should probably get into our robes."
"Yeah, your right. So, ladies first?"
"Sure." The boys leave the compartment and stand outside with the door closed while I close all the curtains so no one can see us change. When we are done I open the compartment door and we switch with the boys so they can get changed as well. When they are done, we all sit down and continue to talk.
"So, which house do you think you will be in? I am hoping for Gryffindor. Just like my parents." Neville says.
"Gryffindor." Harry.
"Ravenclaw or Gryffindor." Janaya.
"I don't want to leave my twin so, same for me." Parker.
"I don't know, maybe Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. Let's make a promise to each other, no matter where we end up we will make time for each other and remain friends and as close as we have always been. This promise includes you, Neville."
"Ok, it's a promise."
"Good. We are here. Let's go."
"Firs' years. Firs' years over here. Tha' everyone. Follow me then. I am Hagrid, keeper of keys and grounds at 'ogwarts." The giant of a man says. "No more'n four to a boat."
"Parker, Janaya, Jaxon, and I will take this one. Harry, Neville and... You two what are your names."
"I am Susan Bones, and this is Hannah Abbott. What is your name?"
"I am Princess Celeste Moore, daughter of Emperor Chen Moore. Why don't you two join Harry and Neville in their boat, please."
"It would be our pleasure to join them."
"Great, we can talk more at the sorting feast."
"Ok. Talk to you then." We all get in the boats.
"Everyone in, ok then. Onwards." The boats start to move.
"You'll get yer firs' look at 'ogwarts just around this bend here." Everyone ooh's and ah's at the sight of the castle.
"Mind your heads." Hagrid says as we pull up to a cave in the side of the mountain. As soon as we get in the cave, we see a boathouse and steps leading up to the castle. "Keep up, now." He says as he starts up the steps. When we get to the castle he knocks on the door and waits. A minute later a woman, Wareing tartan green robes and hair in a tight bun with a stern expression, opens the door. "The firs' years Professor Mcgonagle."
"Thank you, Hagrid. Follow me, please." She leads us to a room off of the one where we hear a lot of voices. "There are four houses at Hogwarts and they are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. While you are here your house will be like your family. Accomplishments in classes will earn you house points while any rule breaking will lose points. Wait here, the sorting ceremony will begin momentarily. I suggest you use this time to straighten up." She leaves, shutting the door behind her.
"I heard we have to wrestle a troll."
"Don't be stupid, and you've got dirt on your nose by the way."
"I am not being stupid. My older brothers told me."
"Do we really have to fight a troll?"
"No all we have to do is try on the sorting hat. It will decide which house we belong."
"And how would you know?"
"I have an uncle who went to Hogwarts. Plus, if you have read Hogwarts a history you would know there is a section on the sorting hat."
"What you mean Fred and George lied to me? And all we have to do is try on some mangy old hat? I'll kill them."
"Yes, yes, and remind me to congratulate them on a prank well done." Harry says.
"Why would you care about pranks."
"Because my father and his friends were pranksters themselves. The marauder's. They even had nicknames for each other. Wormtail, Mooney, my godfathers, Padfoot, and my dads, Prongs."
"Oh." Professor Mcgonagle returns and taps Ron on the shoulder with a roll of parchment. "We are ready for you now."
