Chapter 41
The Battle For Feoh...
Mission briefing...
*Crystal call initiated, conference call...*
Traysek: Hello everyone? do you all copy?
Inigo: Inigo here, Copy and we also made it to one of the ships and luckily in time, it was the last...
Lucien: Thank the gods for that...Also reading you clear boss.
Recorder: Recooooorder! standing by!
Traysek: Really...?
Recorder: Alright alright, Recorder standing by...
Yuriana: Yuriana here, also, reading you all clearly, and I think we just saw you and Dargo flying by, Record
Erik: Nope, that was me and Zephyr! we saw you guys too!
Traysek: Very good...then we're in sync...so because we're already nearly there, we're short on time for a long briefing, so I'll make it quick...there's already so many dead from Volt's assault, both Civilian and city guard, they're doing what they can over there to fight them off...and we that's when we come in... Just got what we were all gonna be doing... Erik, Lucien, and Inigo, You guys will be helping the search and rescue teams...Inigo your senses are better than the other two, they'll be depending on you...
Inigo: You got it, my senses are like my arrows, sharp and ready.
Traysek: Let's hope so...as for you Yuriana, you'll be acting as a combat medic out there for the main force, try not to overdo it...
Yuriana: Guess it's a good thing I'm not wearing the helmet then...very well, I'll do what I can.
Recorder: So what am I going to be doing?
Traysek: Hehehehe...Your job is going to be on the more..."Personal" touch...you'll have to take the heads of the holy army's field officers, which will damage their morale significantly... and you'll be going along with Dargo to do so...
Recorder: Heh...say less, I've been looking for an excuse to use these, *the sounds of clicking* we'll drop off somewhere and get started...
Traysek: Very good, as for me...well...I'm making use of that..."Notoriety" I have with them...*chuckles* hopefully it should be enough to draw them in, I'll be helping Greil on that forefront...so with that said...Begin the operation...!
The City of Feoh...
War theme: Call to Arms extended - God of war 3
After the monsters of Olga's army arrived, the tide began to change as the defenders began to push the monsters away. Also, there were numerous healing tents set by both Niall's men and Olga's monsters that were treating people.
With that said, while that was happening for the injured and those tending to them... the battle continued to rage, those that glowed due to the bard's song were spared from the Dark Army, and those that weren't, were targeted by them... the air fleet able to pick groups off non-glowing warriors and knights off... For many on that side of the fence, this was easy...
However, one young Holy knight, would realize his lack of glow and curse the very reason it didn't happen to him...which now has prompted him to stay hidden.
'Damn that Jester and that cursed song, so THAT'S your aim...you marked those you considered an enemy without a glow... you really me want dead that badly...?' he mentally questioned, clenching his fist, 'if there was a way to stop the singing...I'd be less of a target...' he mused, while moving through the alley, he then froze when he spotted a large wyvern flying by with a rider on top, frowning, 'What...? was that...Was that a Dragonrider?! those warriors shouldn't exist...! not good...between her singing and now a Dragonrider showing up with the monster flee, this isn't going in our favor...I'll have to deal with that rider first, then that jester...and from where he went...it seemed it seems like they've headed towards the main gate...' quickly making his way there...
Meanwhile...
Traysek had flown to the main entrance, finding the source of the skirmish between black dogs and holy forces, some soldiers glowing and others not along with the mercs...however it was then he noticed the glow appearing on him, frowning at himself...
'What...is this...? why am I glowing...?' he mused, looking at his hands, finding his dragon alo glowing until he heard a strange song, "Strange singing... and I almost recognize the voice..."
A larger shadow was over Traysek as he saw a dragon made of stones and purple gems flying above him.
The dragon lowered, Revealing it was Greil riding it, "How do you find your new friend?" he asked.
"Ah, General~! And here I thought I'd have to start alone," The Redguard joked, "So far, we seem to be getting along just fine over here," giving his mount a gentle pat, "That said, am I going crazy? or are we starting to glow...? I noticed you've got a glow on you too,"
"There's a bard who's affiliated with a certain group of people working with us," Greil replied, "Apparently anyone who intentions to protect this city is boosted by her."
Traysek thought on that, mind going to a weird bard he met with Diyah "Certain bard huh? It might ring a bell, but that makes this easier...we'll know not to target the glowing ones, but as for the guys at those canons over there..." nodding his head at the men prepping those, "I'm not spotting a glow on them..."
Greil glanced at the knights, all men, "This means that they're working with the Black Dogs... How about a small arm stretching exercise?" narrowing his eyes at them.
"Hah! Why not? I am dying to know what kind of breath he has!" The Redguard smirked, as the wyvern growled, flapping its wings aggressively, "And I think he wants to show me!"
Greil looked at his stone dragon, who nodded, before that the general turned to Traysek, "Let's make sure that those canons don't fire at the population."
"Agreed!" The Redguard concurred, "Alright, let's turn the tables on these bottoms!" he laughed, causing the dragon to dive straight at their wall and build a torrent of fire in its mouth, alerting the men on the walls.
"Oh shit! it's coming for us!" one of the knights yelled.
"And it's about to light us up!"
"Fire! Fiiiire!" The last knight yelled out, causing the men tending to them to take aim and fire at the approaching dragon, a series of erupting canons echoing the city.
The Wyvern dodged the canon fire aimed at him and his rider, opening its maw and unleashing a devastating torrent of dragon fire that blanketed the entire wall and melted the canons.
"AAAAAUUUGGGHHHH!" the knights screamed out, thrashing around in flames and quickly turning to ash. With the enemies burnt out like ants... The dragon ceased its flame breath.
Greil did the same thing on the opposite side of the wall, as his stone dragon used a breath of smoke and storm that left exploding crystal sources that finished the job of the smoke breath.
Traysek laughed loudly, "Hahahahaha! WOW! That's some potent flame you got there, my boy! alright, can understand the pride now if you can give it like that!" watching the few below scatter in a panic as flames poured down a few of them, giving the Redguard a bit of time to inspect the wall, "Oh...well it might've been a bit potent..." watching a chunk of the wall fall off and plummet to the ground and crumble to dust, "Okay...a little too potent...I hope Niall won't be mad about that..." spotting Greil's mess of Smoke and Crystal, frowning at it, 'What kind of breath did HIS dragon use, there's only crystals and smoke now...yikes...' he mused with a nervous smile.
Upon finishing with the canons, they heard trumpets and drums that signaled the arrival of Niall.
Traysek spotted a large group of men in golden armor, with the commander riding in the lead on their way back, 'Speak of the armored devil...look who finally decided to show up.' grinning widely.
"ALRIGHT LADS! TIME TO SHOW THESE TRAITORS WHAT YOU CAN DO!" Niall screamed before waving his halberd, "GLORY! BRAVE! KNIGHTS!"
A red wave went out, empowering everyone who had that glow, giving them a boost in strength and defense. At this time, however... there was a strange thundering sound coming from behind the enemy lines.
The Riding Dragonborn frowned at that sound, "What the hell was that just now...?" Looking in that direction a few of the men spotted him on the Wyvern.
But those men didn't have a chance to think of something as a mysterious knight clad in pitch black armor and riding a horse hidden in black robes decapitated many of those that didn't glow.
Traysek whistled loudly at her entrance, "Not bad, not bad at all... I can see this newcomer also has that glow on them...wonder who that is though..." narrowing his eyes on them, unbeknownst of the glowing eye trinket going off, until he heard more gathering below him, 'Guess finding out who this newcomer is will have to wait since the walls have been deprived of their canons on all sides, time to head to the ground...' he gave the dragon a gentle pat, "Oi, take us down, their defenses are gone, time to play the ground game with em'..."
In another part of the city, Zephyr felled the last Mercenary that was guarding the storage area where they kept many women and girls.
"Eric, do you read me?" she called after taking her crystal, "Did you find any place that has prisoners?"
"Erik here, and we're at one now and it's guarded by mercs and a few centaurs with strange blue markings...looking for another way with a rescue unit..." his voice came through.
"You can easily distract the Centaurs; have someone being the bait while the rest of you deal with the merc." Zephyr pointed, "There are some knights and mercenaries that are coming this way... talk to you later "
"Acknowledged, stay safe out there..." the line clicking after that...
Zephyr pocketed the crystal in her pouch, taking a spear as the rescue team tried to secure the prisoners.
"Time's to get these knights to feel the pressure of the winds." Zephyr then charged toward them.
With Erik's team...
Rescue team 1
Upper district...
He put the crystal away, before donning his helmet, turning to an elf on the unit who also took cover by the barrels, "Okay...now that that's over with...no one found a way past yet?"
"We can always summon some spirits, but..." the Elf began to look nervous.
"They kinda ask for something in return." another Elf continued.
"Right, wouldn't want that over something like Infiltration..." The Nord nodded, "Okay, then I might have an idea, but it involves some of the bigger guys here..." turning to the Orc and minotaurs with them, "You guys will have to draw most of their attention away, so the rest of us can deal with the rest of the mercs,"
"As long as it's for help, we're ready." one of the Minotaur said as the Orc nodded.
Erik nodded, drawing his ax, and readied his shield, "Don't worry about the brute humans, leave those to me..."
The Orc nodded before jumping in the open and pointing his Great Axe toward the Centaurs which caused them to charge. When they were close enough, the Minotaurs charged them.
The black dogs guarding the makeshift jumped at the sound of the minotaurs charging, going for his crossbow while shaking.
"What the fuck?! why are our monsters attacking us?!" the ranger shouted, "Aren't we allies?!"
The spear-wielding merc went for a flare, "They must be from the monster army, we'll have to send a flare to-!" but before he could even get that flare out, his face was met with Erik's ax, getting shield bashed by him.
One of the Elves rushed to the door and put a small bug next to it, "Now, to give it time..." he narrowly dodged a sword from one of the mercs.
"Watch out!" Erik shouted, flinging a throwing ax into the attacking dog's chest, sending him crashing to the ground hard, lifeless, before moving away from the door, while the bug stuck to it started glowing up, igniting and blowing it open.
"Not going to lie, I didn't think that it'd work." the Elf pointed before going in with some people to rescue the women, "We'll try to get them to safety as fast as we can!"
Erik nodded, "You do that, and I'll keep these mooks busy!" turning his attention to an approaching squad of black dogs, "Come and get it!" he challenged, going for a shield charge.
With Inigo...
Rescue team 2
Near the Marketplace...
The Blue Khajiit rushed through the streets with another rescue team, stopping short when he smelt something...
"Hold on, getting a mix of scents from this building, hostile and civilian ones," he sniffed, scowling after, "There happen to be other monsters with them too!"
"We need to get in and fast!" a Harpy pointed before tackling Inigo from getting pierced by an arrow.
Inigo was about to inquire until he spotted the arrow...his ears then picked up the sounds of a bow being drawn. He rolled him and the harpy out of the way of fire, another arrow nearly hit them. Once out of the way, the Khajiit quickly notched and aimed his bow, finding the enemy bowman an orc, firing one, and then a second arrow.
The first arrow hit the orc dead center in his chest, before the next one pierced through his right eye and skull, making him drop the bow and slump over, falling from the rooftop.
Huffing at the close call, Inigo checked the harpy who saved him, "Hey, are you okay? were you hit?" offering a helping hand.
"Nah, I'm good." the young Harpy said with a bright grin, shifting to a nervous one, "Dad's arrows are way faster than that..."
"Huh, sounds like someone I've shot target with recently, a guy named Endra," He chuckled, helping her up, "He came here too with another comrade of mine, wonder how they're doing in this,"
"Knowing how dad can be... they won't even know what happened to them..." she shuddered before adding, "So, how do we get inside?"
The Khajiit frowned at that, "Your dad huh? I'll...ask about that later, for now," turning to the building, "From the looks of it, they've got that place locked tighter than a misers purse, but not their windows," pointing up at the open one on the second floor, "If I could get up there, I can make my way down and unlock the back door and let the rest of you in,"
"All you needed was to ask, "She chuckled, grabbed him, and flew up to it.
Once he was flown to the window, he grabbed the ledge, "Thanks...! This won't take long...!" he whispered, climbing into it.
Now inside, he found himself in an empty room, exiting the hall with a staircase that led down. On his way down, however, he could hear everything happening to the hostages, from the screams to the whimpering and panting noises with a sickening laughter making him haste in his step towards the back door.
However, when he got there, he found a holy knight walking around, making him hug the corner for cover. Once the knight finally sat near the door, Inigo loosed an arrow, killing him with a headshot.
From outside where the rescue team waited, the door to the back finally opens with him motioning them in "In here, quickly!"
Once inside, the Harpy took a deep breath and asked, "If anyone has a plan..."
The Khajiit thought on this, "If we storm down there, they'll kill everyone just so we can't save them," reaching into his backpack, "We'll have to go with shock and awe, and these smoke grenades will be enough..." coming out with two in hand.
They gave glances between themselves with confusion.
"W-What do you mean by that?" the Harpy asked.
Inigo sighed, "What I mean is that I'll distort them with smoke bombs and we'll take advantage of that confusion by picking them off and getting those people out,"
"Now I get it." the Harpy nodded.
"The question remains, who else here can pick them off in the smoke? I can but I'm not sure if anyone else here can," he wondered.
"We all learn to fight whatever the environment has." the Harpy replied with a proud smug, once again her face shifting to the same nervous expression before, "Even learned to fight within a dense poisonous smoke that can shut down all of your senses..."
The others shuddered at the dark memories...
Inigo grinned, "Well then~ we won't have much to worry about then," drawing his ebony sword, "Let's get down there..."
On the lower floor, most of the dogs, humans, and monsters were having their way with the women they had snatched up, including a few holy knights taking part in it, despite the screaming and protesting.
One of them in particular had a woman lying on a table, in tears while he tried to do something about her clothing.
"No! STOP THIS! you're supposed to be on our side! why are you doing this?!" the woman screamed trying to fight back.
The knight laughed at her struggle, "There there sweetheart~ As a Knight, I only promise to be gentle, now stop squirming!" roughly grabbing at the front of her blouse, tearing it.
As the men laughed down there, the rescue team reached the floor. now at the door, the blue khajiit slowly opened it to a crack, scowling at what he was witnessing, lobbing two smoke grenades in the room, closing the door quickly as they both went off, blinding the traitors and the hostages inside.
"What the fuck is this?!" one of the Dogs yelled as his eyes were burning him.
"Nose. Bad!" a Minotaur was trying to get rid of the smoke.
"Clear the fucking room you idiots!" a Holy Knight ordered.
At that moment, Inigo and the others rushed in, going for the armed blinded thugs...There were sounds of screams and bodies dropping with a Splattering sound before the smoke cleared...leaving only one Ogre, two Orcs, and a few humans alive.
Inigo shook the blood off his sword with a smirk, "Damn, it seems we didn't get them all,"
"Get them!" one of the Knights screamed as they charged them.
The Khajiit evaded the mace blow going at the head, by Sidestepping the merc, returning the favor with a spinning slash, leaving a deep gash in his chest, "Gonna have to be faster than that!" whipping a throwing knife into the face of a holy knight next, dive rolling away from a smash from the ogre's club.
The Harpy swung a Zweïhandler and decapitated the Ogre, "You good?"
Inigo quickly got up, "Yeah! I wasn't hit, he was too slow!" he laughed, ducking from an ax swing from orc, coming back up with an upward slash and splitting him up the middle, "Just like the rest of em!'"
The Harpy went into deadly spins that turned many of the assailants into shreds, before looking around, "I hope that I'm using this sword right..."
"Oh shit! oh shit! we need reinforcements!" one of the last remaining knights panicked.
"Someone call the boss, someone call-gaah!" The merc attempted to finish but was cut down by the Khajiit.
"Hehehe~ sorry guys, help's not coming...!" he laughed.
Eventually, the rescue team had killed off most of the abductors, leaving two on their knees and at blade point, while Inigo, the harpy, and a few others worked to free the women.
Inigo took a blindfold off one, and she immediately freaked out upon seeing him, still gagged, "Whoa Whoa! Relax...! We are not here to hurt you miss, we are here to help you all and take you somewhere safe...safer than...here..." gently taking the gag off.
"T-Thank you..." the woman weakly said before asking, "H-Have you seen my son... or my daughter? They're the only things that I have in this world."
He looked around, not spotting any children around, "I'm afraid I haven't seen any children on our way here, and it was by luck we found you...I was able to hear you all down here..." noting her saddening expression, "But since I'm apart of the Rescue op, I can search for them and even get help doing it, all I need is a description, ma'am,"
"Please! You have to find them!" she pleaded as tears began to appear in her eyes.
Inigo felt a ping in his chest, understanding how it feels to lose someone, especially family...he placed a hand on her shoulder, "We will do everything in our power to find them, Ma'am... I'm not resting until I do, you have my word," with a steeled expression.
Not too soon after many women began to ask for their children.
"This is bad... We're going to have to find a clue..." the Harpy mumbled as one of the survivors, who was a Holy Knight, snickered.
Before he could respond, The khajiit's ears twitched, growling and turning to that snickering, "Is something funny over there, tin can?" narrowing his eyes, stalking towards him.
"Nothing, nothing." the knight answered with a smug, "Maybe the kids are on their way to paradise as we speak. It's gonna be a blast for them when they reach Ken." which caused the mothers to cry desperately.
Inigo flinched at their crying, while still keeping eyes on the wounded knight...he snarled and lifted him by his throat and slammed him hard against the wall with a hiss, making him see stars, "Did that snap you out of it, you piece of trash...? I'm not playing any games with you or flee bitten allies, how long ago did they leave? huh?!" baring his fangs in his face.
The knight chuckled before saying, "Try your best, furball, you won't get an answer. After all, I got my orders from the Archbishop himself."
"So an Archbishop has a hand in this...interesting..." Inigo inquired, until he thought about something, smirking widely, "You know what? I think you might be right, you don't seem like you have much to tell us and it's not like you're going to tell us the identity of the bishop that put you up to this...so I think it's time you were put to bed now," unholstering a pistol, loading it.
"Do it." the knight smiled widely, "It would be better than returning after failing a mission."
The Khajiit had the gun trained on him for a minute, "Hmm...Nah~" he grinned, taking the gun off his head, confusing him... However, he then pistol-whipped the knight, knocking him out, "You just gave me an idea, armored crab," holstering his gun, "Alright, Let's get these people out of here, as for the shit knight, bring him too, the dark blades can probably get more out of him,"
But he noticed that one person wasn't there with them...
He frowned cautiously glancing around, turning to one of the elves, roughly pulling the knight up, "Uh, where's the friendly harpy woman that was with us?"
The Elf pointed to a window with a nervous smile.
He glanced at the window, "Oh I see, she went out the window, probably went out to locate the kids, good..." sheathing his sword, "Then the only thing we need to do is get these women outside, leave the bodies, they can rot,"
Now outside, the rescue team began escorting them to where the safety camps were, Inigo pulling out the crystal.
"Inigo calling in! We've found a group of hostages and managed to secure them... we're bringing them to the safe point now, but now we've got another problem..." he said with a scowl, "Apparently the holy knights have been rounding up groups of kids and from what I got... they're en route to Ken as I relay this!"
There was a sound of clashing steel as Zephyr spoke, "Heard the same thing."
"What? One of them told you the same thing...? gods...that just made things more complicated, but we'll meet you all there," Inigo nodded, "How are things on your end, Erik?"
There were sounds of someone being hacked into, "Things are going well on our end, just keep fighting off those that keep trying to get to freed captives! Lucien's the only one we haven't heard anything from..."
"I'm Here and I'm in the process of something with that, I'll let you all know when I'm on the way...' Lucien's voice came through.
"Very well, try not to get killed my imperial friend, be looking forward to seeing you soon," The blue Khajiit smiled, putting the crystal away.
With Lucien...
Rescue team three...
Weaponsmithing District...
At one of the ruined buildings guarded by two orcs, a small dwarven spider slowly crawls to them, getting their attention.
From behind the barrels nearby, Lucien held a remote controller while the rest of the rescue team watched.
"Is it going to work?" a Dark Elf asked.
"Oh, it will, give it a minute..." The imperial smirked as one of the orcs picked it up, "Aaaaand...Now!" clicking a button.
The spider then spazzed and electrocuted both orcs, sending them to the ground smoking.
"Lights out gentlemen~" Lucien laughed, using the spider to crawl to the lock and zap the lock to the door, unlocking it, "And I've just opened our way in," clicking another button which unsummoned the spider, putting the device in his backpack, "We can move in now..."
Once inside, they found a person whose armor was pitch black with a human skeleton on it. He cocked his head towards them.
Lucien frowned at the strange armored man, "Never seen him before," he muttered stopping at a distance, "Excuse me chap? would you mind letting us by? I'm sure there's people in there that need assistance,"
The man stared at him, eventually stepping away from the wall...He then brought out strange weapons, made of arm bones, him gripping the hands while the blades came from the elbows.
The imperial sighed deeply, pulling out a beam saber, "I'll take that as a no..." igniting it, getting an orange blade instead of his usual blue, illuminating the room.
The silent man rushed at Lucian with blinding speed, ready to pierce him with his weapons.
With barely any time to dodge, the imperial narrowly evaded the blow in a panic, getting his clothing grazed by his attacker's weapons, and going for a retaliating outward swing.
The stranger dodged before crouching as the weapons began to emit a crimson glow.
He quickly backstepped away from the mysterious man, building a lightning spell in his hand and discharging a bolt at him.
Narrowly evading the spell, the strange man took advantage of the opening to lung toward Lucian, only to meet an arrow that pierced his shoulder.
"Need Help?" Endra walked in.
After he regained his composure from the near-death experience, Lucien exhaled with a nod, "Y-yeah, he's a bit tougher than I expected...thank you for the help," standing up.
"Help those poor people, I'll deal with him..." Endra said as he cracked his shoulder, "They need help more than he needs a beating."
Lucien looked unsure, "I can still- " thinking about it "No... No, you're right, they're suffering the longer I waste time with him...good luck my friend, if you're still fighting when we're done, I'll be back to help, you can count on that..." Giving the masked man a last glance before rushing off with the rescue team.
The man tried to chase after them, but another arrow found itself lodged in his ankle.
"Sorry, pal, but I'm your dancing partner now." Endra smiled before taking an arrow from the quiver.
It was like a staring contest between the two until the armored man rolled forward, trying to pierce Endra, who jumped back, firing three arrows, which were evaded. The stranger took a staff and struck the ground creating purple spheres that ran toward the Dark Elf. Endra tried to evade them, but he was hit by three, which pulled him closer to the strange man.
"Whoa!" Endra rolled away from some strikes before firing four more arrows.
The man ran rolling forward, dodging the attempted shots, and once he quickly got back up, his bone weapon began to charge with a crimson glow.
"That's not good..." Endra commented as the strange man dashed forward.
Meanwhile, Lucien and the rescue team had pushed past the doors, heading down the staircase. When they reached a door, hearing sniffling and light sobbing coming from it.
The imperial stepped forward with a lockpick before his minotaur teammate could kick down the door, "Uh...mind if I try something first? That crying sounds little and if those are children behind that door, kicking it down will scare them even more,"
With a concerned look, the Minotaur nodded and moved away from the door.
Lucien went up to the door and crouched, going to work on the lock...finding it harder than expected...the first one snapping, making his eyebrow twitch, 'Son of a...how in oblivion does he do this so easily?! okay, don't get mad, focus and remember where you were...' sweating as he worked with the next one...
It took a minute, and another lockpick after that but he got it, unlocking the door, "Got it, third time's always the charm..." putting his set away, slowly pushing the door open.
Inside, Were men, women, children... Even newborns that were cradled in their mother's arms.
"Why did they decide to keep men? It doesn't make any sense?" a Dark Elf wondered out loud.
Lucien was about to inquire on that, until something dawned on him, "I have a feeling we're about to find out, let's ask around," going up to the first man, who looked frightened, "Excuse me, sir, it's okay we're not here to hurt you, we're the rescue effort..." with a gentle tone, "We did not expect to find men here, what were they keeping you here for?"
"W-We don't know." the man answered, "Maybe they want to feed us to their monsters."
The imperial thought on that, "Could be...but that wouldn't explain the few guards here...this is strange indeed, but either way, we need to get out of here, we have a camp set up for shelter, that's where most of the rescue teams are taking you all, I hope it isn't an inconvenience for you...any of you," looking around.
Back to Endra, the Dark Elf seemed as tired as his silent opponent.
"Well... those are some pretty neat tricks that you have." Endra was breathing heavily, ready to fire another arrow.
Lucien peeked out first to find Endra still in battle with skull face man, "He's still fighting him...there's arrows everywhere..." looking around for another way out, spotting a closed window, and turning to the team, "That window looks good enough, it's better than getting in the middle of that,"
Endra fired another volley of arrows as the silent man rolled away before using his staff to send some blue magical energies at the Dark Elf.
"Never seen this type of Magic before!" Endra commented as he evaded the spell, "Where did you learn of this?!"
The stranger said nothing as he waved his staff, leaving a blue vortex above him.
After creeping by the fight, Lucien silently opened the window as he and the team started helping people out of it one after another. Eventually, the team crawled out of it, the imperial being the last, looking back and wondering if he should stay and help.
A sword was launched from a swirl the mysterious man conjured, causing Endra to fire an arrow at it before firing another arrow at the stranger.
The imperial turned back to the team, "You guys go ahead and escort them to the safe zone, take the alleyways if you must, I'll catch up soon," eyes shadowed over, "We've already succeeded in getting them out, that's done, but I can't leave one of our friends alone with that beast...take care of them," with a small smile, heading off to find Endra, 'Hope I'm not too late...!'
The man rolled before waving his staff again, releasing a swarm of white skulls that zoned toward Endra.
A fireball flew towards it, exploding and taking the skulls, the culprit being Lucien...
"Looks like you need the help now," He said, approaching them with his ebony flesh spell on and dwarven saber out.
The strange man waved his staff again as a purple glow was on the ground, lifting three rocks that flew toward Lucian.
"Not a chance," Endra smirked when he destroyed the rocks using arrows.
It was then Lucien took the chance to summon a frost Atronach before going for the charge as it did, the frost summon going for a fist smash on the skull-faced enemy...
The man jumped back before waving his staff to create a black space above him. He then waved his staff again, summoning a magical cloud that began to shoot out magical projectiles.
The frost Atronach did its best to try tanking the blasts, While Lucien drove at him with a hard outward swing going for the bone man's head.
The man deflected the strike to the ground before stabbing Lucian in the stomach.
"Not on my watch!" Endra fired an arrow that struck the bone man in the other arm, pushing him a little away, "You doing good?" the Dark Elf asked as he prepared another arrow.
Lucien grunted, activating the fast healing spell, the gut wound closing up, "Y-yeah I'm okay...! Just keep fighting!"
Endra fired the arrow as the man dodged it forming a magic bow with the staff and notched it, summoning an arrow that grew stronger as the magic did.
"That's unfair..." Endra commented as it was fired.
They both rolled out of the way, the arrow exploding in vibrant blue, the imperial returning fire with two massive fireballs.
The bone man didn't try to move as he pulled another arrow, while the fireballs flew into the black void above his head.
"Gods be damned! what is that black void?" Lucien swore, once again activating his ebony flesh spell, "It eats anything we fire at it!" building up a lighting spell and discharging a thunderbolt this time.
"It doesn't work with physical projectiles." Endra pointed as the man fired the arrow, which countered the lightning, "And not to mention all these strange spells... I haven't seen or heard of these," the man pulled his magical bow again, creating another arrow.
Lucien had to think of something, before an idea popped up, making him slightly smirk, "Maybe the answer isn't attacking directly, but..." using telekinesis to grab a crate from behind the armored man, and violently pull it towards him from behind.
With barely any time to react, the strange man was thrown forward.
"It's not done!" Endra fired a volley of arrows, prompting the man to roll away.
Once again the imperial used the same spell to knock a bookcase over, attempting to trap him.
The man rolled again as Endra prepared to fire another volley, but the man used a strange knife to disappear in a cloud of golden dust.
"Who, in anything that exists, was that?" the Dark Elf said, tiered.
Lucien breathed hard, putting away his beam saber, his armor spell crumbled soon after, "No...idea...but I get the feeling we won't be seeing the last of him..."
"For now... I want to drink something while eating a good steak..." Endra joked with a chuckle as he looked at a hole that he had in the abdomen, "Damn that bastard..."
The imperial noticed the wound, "That looks bad, do you need any help? I can heal that easily," with a healing spell ready.
"That's nothing." Endra laughed, "I've been worse."
He was unsure for a moment, until sighing, "I...see, but if it gets any worse, do see a healer or Yuri if she's out there..." Hearing an explosion, followed by a dragon's roar, "We need to catch up with the Rescue team...I'm sure they've either made their way or they're halfway to the camp by now, here's hoping the others had better luck,"
Endra put a hand on a crate, which fell to pieces, "This... is a bad sign... Something is going to happen."
"How do you figure? I think today has gone swimmingly, despite that debacle from earlier," Lucien shrugged, "Unless you mean something else...?"
Endra narrowed his eyes, "I have a bad feeling... one that's bad to an impossible scale..."
With Zephyr's team...
Near the tavern
Zephyr fought for hours and hours as the number of her victims grew with each passing moment.
"How the hell is she not tired!" one of the knights asked as he charged forward.
The Dark Elf took a stance before using the blunt end of her spear disorienting him before using a bust of wind to cut his head.
"That bitch!" more knights charged as she would either dismember them or kill them with ease.
One of the fallen tried to get up, but a boot stopped him and kept him on the ground.
"Where. Are. The. Kids." With a low voice, the command scared the shit out of the knight as he felt the spear on his back, ready to pierce him.
Nearby, Reynold was on the move, still tracing down the Dragon he'd seen earlier...On his way, he'd killed plenty of black dogs and a couple of monsters from their army, 'Damn it...I didn't think It'd be this bad...'
He eventually made it from around the corner to find most of the troop wiped out and the last one was under the mercy of the Kletzkreig, pressing her spear down on him...
'I have to save him before she wipes the last of this unit out...!' He mentally shouted, drawing out his sword and moving towards the hostile elf.
"I-I swear that I know nothing!" the knight begged, "I-I-I have a wife and two children! P-Please! Let me go!"
"Do you think I want your sad story?" the Dark Elf asked as she began to press her spear down, "My patience is running thin. And I have better things to do rather than waste my time here." she raised her spear, ready to finish him... only to find herself pierced by a sword from behind, "W-Wha-"
"GET. AWAY FROM HIM!" Reynold shouted, ripping the blade out of her, causing her to collapse. Once she was down, Rey walked over to the downed knight, offering a hand, "Are...you okay? that looked rough..."
"T-Thank you!" the knight beamed as he saw Reynold's hand before grabbing it, "Thanks to you, I'll be able to see my family again."
"If luck goes our way, we'll ALL be able to see ours again," Rey slightly chuckled, "What happened here?"
"W-Well, we heard that they captured civilians, so we rushed to rescue them... but it was late as they moved them." the knight answered, "Thankfully, we managed to hide the children... and that's why I was being questioned."
Rey gritted his teeth, "Captured Civilians...? Damn...so that's what this elf here was doing...and she had ensured they took their prisoners, we'll have to find them, can you still fight? and where's your squad or is this them?"
"I can," the knight nodded, "But we need to send someone to the castle! From what I heard... it was infiltrated by the assassins of the Dark Army!"
The young knight's eyes lit up in fear, "That's...Lady Prim is there...! Those assassins could've gotten to her, dammit...!" he growled, "I'll ask again, is this your retinue or are they out there somewhere?" Inquired once again.
"I doubt that they can fight..." the knight pointed as he checked on one of the fallen knights, "My friends... either dead... or spared to live a life worse than death..."
"Okay then...seeing as there's barely any left, I don't mind having an extra blade along, two swords and minds are better than one," Rey smiled, Offering a handshake, "You got a name?"
"The name's Marquel of the Fevius family." the knight shook Rey's hand, "And you are?"
"Reynold, of the Von Musel family," Rey introduced, "It's Nice to meet you, Marquel"
"T-That family, huh?" the knight stiffed for a second before regaining his composure, "Well, it's nice to meet you too."
Rey sighed, nodding, "Yeah...I pray you don't believe in those rumors, my idiot brother is to blame for that one... if it helps, I'm still going to kick his ass when I see him,"
"R-Right, so, what's the plan?" Marquel asked.
Rey looked around at the flames, "Well, the plan was to fight off the monsters and the dogs, but since you mentioned that the castle has dark assassins that have gotten in, we'll have to deal with them, which means we're heading there, who knows? we might find a few more stragglers out there," with an assuring smile.
"Sure." the knight nodded.
Somewhere, near Feoh's Great Library...
As the battle raged and many fell, both monster and men alike, Yuriana was helping a small team with their injured brethren, a minotaur of the Earthen Horns that had taken a hit from one of the cannons before Traysek had melted it down. His chest was blown open, slowly closing now as she worked on him with her healing magic.
"Just relax sir, you took one hell of a hit from that cannonball, you're lucky none of your limbs were blown off, you'll be back up before you know it," She ensured with a sweet smile.
"Heh, it takes more than that to put me down," the Minotaur pointed with a smirk before wincing when he struck his chest.
She gave him a smirk and a look, "Really? Your chest is somewhat still open and you do that...? Then I have no doubts you'll be back up," finishing the healing spell with a chuckle, "And you're done, take it easy on that chest, I'm serious," with a quick stern expression.
"Yeah... yeah..." the Minotaur got up, rejoining his team.
A familiar Centaur had shown up with more of the injured, "Another group!"
Yuri looked them over, their wounds grisly looking, one of them even having a hard time keeping their arm attached, making her furrow her brow, "Okay...cause of damage?" she asked.
"From what I heard, it's a Holy Knight who had the jump on them when they were occupied with the enemy." the Centaur replied.
The Redhead thought on that for a moment, "Huh, a backstabbing knight you say..." having a quick flash to young Reynold cheering after his "Victory" "I see, must've been fast if they couldn't see him or her, the stab wounds are identical on them...very well, I'll start with the worst, that arm needs more tending to, so he's first," going over to the injured elf and beginning the healing magic.
"Aren't you going to clean the wound first?" the Centaur asked as he brought water, "What kind of healer doesn't clean the wound first?" he then pushed her and began to clean the wound, "If you close it without clean it first, you run the risk of damaging the body."
Yuriana sighed, "I didn't clean it, because my healing magic also purifies the wound I'm healing... if there was any poison or infection, it was purged before the wounds closed up...But I can understand your perspective, it does look like the wounds are just closing, apologies for not making that clear earlier,"
"O-Oh... sorry about that." The Centaur was now beet red with embarrassment before looking more clearly at Yuri, "Have... we met before?"
She frowned at him, squinting her eyes, "Yeah...come to think of it, I do remember you...you were back at the Camp at Ulak, you gave me my hammer back when I recovered, hello again~ although you left last time without me catching your name," chuckling.
"I-It's Alexandros." the Centaur stumbled back, 'Don't let her know that you're in a rut, Don't let her know that you're in a rut, Don't let her-'
"Nice to meet you Alexandros, I'm Yuriana, it's a pleasure," She slightly bowed, glancing at the injured elf after "That said, do you mind? I'll keep the healing slow so you can clean, but that arm needs attention,"
Alexandros straightened up before saying, "Sorry for stepping in your way!"
She waved him down, activating her magic once again, treating the arm, "I didn't mind too much, our training in healing differs significantly, hence why my boss had me serve as a combat medic today, because of what I can do with mine...and keep other forces off your backs if need be..." moving to the other side of the arm, applying a bit more to the exposed and chipped bone, healing the marrow.
"W-Well, I'd better go before annoying you furth-" the Centaur began to trot away.
"You're not...and there are probably more people out there that could use my healing touch, for as long as this battle rages, I'll use as much as I can," giving a smile, "No pressure at all, Alexandros,"
After being immobile for some seconds, Alexandros fainted with a red face.
Her eyes widened when he went down, "Alex? Hey! Are you alright? Were you hit by something out there?" trying to rouse him.
With Recorder and Dargo...
main holy knight camp...
Both Recorder and Dargo hid behind large bushes, watching the main camp.
"This is it?" Dargo asked.
She had binoculars out, scanning the camp, "It appears so...this would be the kind of camp they could give command from...well placed too, far enough from the battle, yet close enough to send the troops in..." her view going to those guarding the tent, "There are only two knights here, guess the rest are all out fighting, I'd say now would be a time to hit them, but I don't know about these officers, and you did mention those elite groups...wondering if they put a few of them in charge,"
"Normally, they put them under the orders of the Lightbringers, but I doubt that one is there..." Dargo replied, "But, I don't think that-" he then took a defensive stance looking around, "Someone's near..."
Recorder felt a shiver go up her spine, hand resting on her blade, "You feel that too? it's almost like someone's-"
Something was thrown toward her, but Dargo deflected it with his sword, "You alright?"
She nodded, shaking off her shock, "Y-yeah, thank you, but that answers that question," turning her scowl out and around, "You know...this whole cloak and dagger bullshit is annoying, you might as well show yourselves, we know you're there!" calling them out.
"Five... no, there are six people around us." Dargo replied, "I can tell where each one is."
She grinned deviously, "Really now~? That helps a ton, more than you think..." saying that last part a bit darkly and out loud, a sweet innocent smile on her face with a now drawn ebony pistol, "And if I may ask my dear Dargo, where's the nearest one~?"
"Five meters, northeast," Dargo answered.
Recorder slowly nodded, "Ah, that close huh...?" quickly aiming the gun and firing a shot, hearing a yelp of pain before a thud, "One down, five more to go..."
"Seven meters, northwest." Dargo pointed.
She nodded, aiming the pistol in said direction, "Gotcha..." fired another shot, once again another yelp of pain, this time a woman's before a thud, "Two down..."
"They're on the move." Dargo pointed, "Get ready."
Recorder put the pistol away, "Was hoping that would draw them in, now let's see what they've got," taking a stance, as the steps got closer and closer.
"Get ready to draw," Dargo said, his hand hovering above the sword.
She took a deep breath with her hand over her weapon and relaxed as the rustling got even louder...
Dargo closed his eyes, hand hovering closer to the handle. Until...
Assassins in white robes, similar to the dark blades started appearing around them in flashes of light, instantly trying to go for the kill...
Recorder smirked and drew her sword at blinding speed...
As for Dargo, there was only a gust of wind...
The assassins caught in their combined slashes were reduced to bloodied shreds, heads and all, Recorder feeling slightly disappointed, after sheathing her blade...
"For elite assassins, that was a bit of a letdown...I won't lie, that felt too easy," she noted, looking around, not seeing anymore.
"One of them escaped." Dargo pointed as he narrowed his eyes.
She frowned shaking her head, "Seriously? One of them got away? Dammit!" gritting her teeth, sighing after, "As much as I want to hunt him down before he gets to where he's going," turning back around to the main camp, "We still have this to do...we can always find him later,"
Dargo nodded as they both rushed to the camp.
The two guards at the main entrance remained on duty, unbeknownst to the shadows approaching them from behind...with the first one, getting stabbed into the neck from behind, killing him when Record let him down gently.
Dargo stabbed the second one through the heart before using ice to keep him up on his feet.
"Nice~" She whispered, before grabbing the corpse and dragging it to the side of the main tent, before heading back, closing in on the entrance with Dargo when she could hear the officers going off about something..."Hold on, before we whack these guys, let's hear this...it might be more info we'll need," in a low tone.
"How is it possible!" a yell was heard, "The losses are higher than we planned! I thought Volt knew what he was doing!"
"I'm sure that the boss is going to save up." A Dog pointed.
"Even if we have a lot of supplies, we shouldn't take it easily!" the officer slammed his hand, "You children know nothing of warfare!"
Recorder frowned hard hearing that, glancing at Dargo, "The fuck...? their officers are in league with the dogs...? I expected the footsoldiers to be at least, but officers?" in a lowly whisper.
"Get these orders to Volt! The last thing I want is to see this attack failing." the officer ordered.
"On my way!" the Dog exited the tent.
However, when he exited the tent, he felt a pat on his shoulder, followed by a watery blade shoved through his chest with a hand over his mouth, getting dragged off by Recorder...
"What now?" Dargo asked.
When she put the body down, she searched and fished out an envelope, pocketing it, "Now, we get rid of them...and I have the best way to do so..." putting on a half-mask and pulling out two moving poisoned spiders, "Once they start pouring out, the rest'll be easy..." narrowing her eyes, as she let two them go into the tent...
Dargo only nodded and waited.
There was chatter from the officers for a moment, until one of them shrieked and then two small explosions went off with poison gas coming out of the main entryway...with sounds of coughing and gagging coming from it.
"Get ready, they'll start coming out like bombed insects," Record stated, a hand over her katana.
Dargo waited and he began to decapitate everyone that came out with a speed so great, that his hands didn't appear to be moving.
The next couple came out choking, Recorder unsheathing her blade on them, slicing both in half, sending their top halves rolling to the ground.
Finally the last officer, an older man came out, choking and hitting the ground on his knees, already succumbing to the poison...He weakly looked up to find Recorder standing over him with her katana fully drawn, gritting his teeth, "D-damn y-you...You will...pay for this!" he choked out, getting his throat slashed by her.
She sighed, shaking the blade off, "I doubt I will," sheathing the blade, "I think that was the last unless there are others to hunt out there,"
Dargo closed his eyes and concentrated, "There's a group of five officers in another tent."
"Okay, so they weren't all together, alright then," She nodded, reloading her pistol, "And seeing as the main force hasn't gotten back, that means the boss and your general are giving them enough hell," grinning at the next tent, "Alright, to the next five..." heading there with him.
"I'm going to do... something else." Dargo pointed in another direction, "I'll go and burn their supplies; better to have them in despair rather than risking that they steal it back."
Recorder nodded, "Right, you do that, these guys in here shouldn't be much trouble, especially with how I'm going to deal with them,"
After they separated, she made her way to the tent, a bit smaller and unguarded like the rest before entering...
Once she crept in, Record found them lounging around at the map, stopping and crouching to listen in..." So...if Volt's plan takes off here, will we be showered in women and gold?" One of them asked, "Hate to have done all of this, and it turns out for naught..."
"That's the idea, most of us will benefit from this...it was enough to convince even the higher officers at the main tent, besides, I think we could all use a nice little piece for this price...willing to bet we'll even have a go at that commander's wife," another one added in with a laugh.
Most of them started chuckling at that, putting a knot in Recorder's stomach...
'Fucking gross...'
"All we have to do is offer more "Support" and the dogs will get their way...that's if we could do something about the monster army that's here now...hoping that most of the main force can drive them back, they're making things way more complicated then they need to be..." a third officer chimed in.
They soon hear laughter...
"Allow me to add to that boys~!" Recorder announced in a mask, getting their attention, going for their blades.
"And who the hell are you?! how did you get past the forces?!" One of them demanded.
She chuckled, aiming her pistol at them, making them all flinch... "Oh don't worry about that, what you need to worry about, is what's about to happen now..."
"What do you mean by?"
*Blam!* the gun went off, and the talking officer had his head halfway blown off.
"That...that's what I meant..." She said in a low tone, before firing another shot...
back at the main gate...
Now on the ground, Traysek fought along with Greil and the warrior in dark armor, joined with Niall...along with most of the monster and free knight forces there...the dragons kept their pressure up by either swooping down and breathing their breath on them or snatching them up with their jaws. Whether they were a holy knight or black dog, it made no difference without that glow and those bodies were starting to pile.
The Redguard ducked a beheading flame strike from a black dog, countering by slicing off his legs, sending him to the ground, and finishing him with a throat stab, tearing the blade out, and absorbing the energy drained from him, "Their morale should be dropping by now!" backstepping away from a savage centaur, and giving it a point, sending the floating spear towards it with a deadly vertical spin, splitting the centaur down the middle along with a few black dog mercs in its path.
"It depends on their level of intellect." Greil pointed, cleaving a Holy Knight, "If they're stupid, they won't stop coming."
Once he recalled the spear, he gave it a violent swing, summoning a shard of sharp crystals that distorted the crowd, "VEN, GAAR NOS!" he shouted, spawning a cyclone that swept them in there, before blowing apart with them landing hard on the ground, "It's looking like the latter at this rate!"
"The more we fight, the more tired we will be." Greil pointed.
"Don't need to tell me that, we've been going for a few hours!" Traysek replied, blocking an oncoming axe held by another black dog, this one coated In poison, "ZUN!" he shouted, knocking the weapon out his hands, impaling the poor bastard through the gut with the spear, and fired a crystalline blast at those behind him, freezing them solid as his dragon swooped down and smashed through, shattering them like glass.
Then a call comes through his Radio, answering it while parring a blow, "Hello?!" while running the knight through with his spear.
"Boss, it's Recorder, we've just finished off the officers at the main camp, their morale should be dropping any second now..."
"Oh good!" he said while taking a slash to the back from a black dog, retaliating with a powerful back kick, sending him flying, "Prick! I was wondering if that was done, I'll pass the news!" slashing down a holy knight this time, once again absorbing lifeforce and stamina.
"We've also managed to secure the hostages and made it to the camp...Erik, Inigo, and I are there now and are waiting for Zephyr," Lucien's voice also chipped in, "There's also more to cover, however, it sounds like some of us are still fighting,"
"Same here...learned something disturbing myself, even got a prisoner for it..." Inigo chuckled.
"Then everything's going to plan, for those still out there, just help those you can until further notice!" Traysek ordered, while discharging a powerful bolt of lightning into a savage minotaur's chest, leaving a burning gaping hole, turning to the General, "Greil! Good news! I just got a call, Recorder and Dargo are done with wiping out the officers!" slashing into a holy knight with his sword, "The rescue teams are also nearly done as well!"
"Well then! How about increasing the difficulty?" Greil asked with a smirk.
Traysek slammed his armored knuckles into one of the black dog's faces, dropping him and returning the smirk, "About time! I didn't think I could keep holding back!" before taking a deep breath, "STRUN BAH!" He shouted to the heavens, the skies obeying as they began to grey and darken with thunder rumbling. What came next was a quick rushing downpour of heavy rain, high winds, and lightning that rapidly struck the unglowing enemies mercilessly.
Greil roared and created a cobalt blue wave that rejuvenated their allies before using the rain and turning it into a healing rain.
The Redguard frowned, as the rain he conjured began to heal his injuries, 'I see...he complimented my shout, not only is it healing me, but the lighting...' watching white lightning fry holy knights to ash, 'Hits even stronger now...'
As for the dark knight... they gracefully maneuvered the horse and counterattacked with both speed and grace, each of their moves is well calculated as well as how they deal with some enemies that are far from them; by leaping far in the sky before landing with a crushing force, glaive first. There was a dark blue steel chain that helped them in manipulating and throwing the glaive if needed.
Despite just healing allies, the rain made short work of the fires around Feoh, opening up new roads that were previously blocked off by flames for those within...it was at this point, that the holy knight's numbers were dwindling from the constant losses as well as the black dogs...For a certain black dog king, things were starting to turn sour...
Volt had a scowl on his face as he witnessed the scene, "What the hell Is happening...? Where did this hurricane even come from?! the skies were clear when we invaded!"
"Boss!" a merc ran toward him, "Things are going bad! Someone set all our supplies on fire, and I mean everything!" after getting a death glare, the mercenary flinched before adding, "B-B-But we noticed that some golden knight are more protective toward a tower!"
The black dog leader growled, "So...all that we got...has been set on fire...that's great..." looking at the storm, "Let's just hope this rain can salvage some of that, and as for the tower, if those gold knights are there in force, then that must be where they're holding the commander's wife..." a smirk just graced his lips, "I think I've got another way to secure victory...send word to the men to focus their efforts on the tower, I want the woman alive...and don't touch her yet, he has to see the goods unscathed before the fun happens..."
The merc nodded before rushing to relay the orders.
Volt looked over the balcony once more, "Now we see if this comes into fruition...hopefully, Beasley still pulls through with the rear gate...as for this storm, however..." frowning at it until he heard...
"FUS RO DAAAAH!" A familiar male voice boomed, following a thunder behind it.
He narrowed his eyes, knowing all too well who that belonged to...
Omake
Rookie Cookie
The rookie knight was in a Rad-themed restaurant in Ken with two other newly appointed knights, he took a fortune cookie, broke it, and read what was inside.
"You will commit a crime in three minutes...?" The rookie read with a frown, "W-what?"
"That seems rather direct." one of the companions joked as he sweated.
The knight rose head up, "Yeah, well what did yours say?"
"You will witness a crime in three minutes..." he then began to look around nervously.
They both turned to the last knight who was even more nervous than the other two...
"So what does your say-" the rookie tried to ask.
"You'll die in three minutes..." The third knight paled
The second knight looked at the rookie and said, "I... think you'll kill him in three minutes..."
"I need to get out of here!" The third knight freaked out, stumbling out of his chair.
After calming the freaked knight, the rookie took other cookies to prove nothing would happen.
"look look look! see? it's nothing to worry about," The rook assured, cracking another open, "This one says I'll get 500 gold soon,"
"That's the exact amount that I have with me..." the third knight took his bag out, "I have a child! If I had been born a noble he'd become Batman. I'm middle class! My son will never be Batman!"
"Listen to me! your son. will not. be. an. orphan! batman's not going to raise your son, okay?" The rookie shouted, "He's not even in this series anyway, you will raise your son!"
The third knight broke his new cookie, "Your son will be an orphan! And grew up to become Robin?!" he yelled, freaking out.
"Relax friend! This is just a strange coincidence, there's no crime going to happen, you're going to raise your son!" The rookie yelled himself.
After some moments, a waiter walked and said, "You parked your horse facing west, and here, it's a crime."
"W-what?!" The rookie exclaimed as the third knight started to choke, making him rush to his friend, "Hand on! I got you!" getting behind him and giving the Heimlich Maneuver until he coughed up his food, the rookie sighed in relief, "See? wasn't the cause of it!"
When they celebrated that the third knight was still alive, a Dark Blade walked up to him, stabbed him in the back, and left as if it were nothing.
"I will raise your son!" Batman proclaimed, standing across from them.
Omake end...
And that concludes the chapter... but what dark deeds does Volt intend to do to the Commander's wife? Will Niall be able to get to her in time? and things are starting to look up for the virgin knight with his partner, but will that be enough? And Is Zephyr okay? History has repeated itself although in a much different way... stick around for the conclusion on the third and final part... :)
To OniTenshi500: Oh trust me, Prim got plenty and more...Alicia's played herself in more than one way with that...that drawback's going to be ugly, that's for sure...
To Alduinkiller: Now see...I was going to ignore this obnoxious comment because that's what it is...obnoxious...but now, I feel like answering it...So you wanna know why I haven't made him just a run-in-the-mill conquering and all-dominating with wives- jerkass? I'll tell you why...from what you would have Traysek do...he really wouldn't be himself anymore...hell, you might as well just start calling him Volt's other half... that's what it'll be... "Good Volt" Not Traysek the Dragonborn, Not Traysek the Red Dragon... GOOD. VOLT...I will not put my character through THAT kind of assassination for one reader...nor will I disrupt the power balance you wish me to be rid of... As the author I apologize that you are not enjoying this...you clearly have a different take and taste, it just isn't mine...if you wish to talk further...you can message me anytime, but this will be the last time I mention this publicly, next time I'm ignoring you like I do the other trolls...good day :)
And with the reviews answered, I bid you all a good day :D
