"So Derek wants to move in," Meredith started. "And I told him sure why not? But 5 seconds later I regretted saying yes do you think it's soon? I mean he just broke up with Rose not even 24 hours ago and-

"Meredith!" Cristina cut her off. "Shut up. You know shut up about Derek. Shut up about moving in with Derek, Shut up about your relationship because you know what? I've heard it all before. Yeah, you know, you guys get together, and I have to listen to it, then you guys break up, and I have to listen. I can't take it anymore!"

"Cristina," Meredith intervened.

"No!" Cristina snapped. "You know what? That's it I'm done!"' Cristina shouted and turned to go back inside, but before she could take a step, her foot slipped and an icicle from the roof punctured her chest as she began gasping looking around terrified.

Hold on, Cristina!" Meredith yelled, running back into the hospital.

Major Hunt had just finished a phone call with his mother and was in good spirits as he stepped up the parking lot of the hospital. He saw dark curly hair spread across the pavement.

It was her.

He saw her lying on the ground, gasping with an icicle in her chest. He approached her with a wry grin, "Damsel in distress." He couldn't help but chuckle slightly. He reached down and wrapped his arms gently around her to pick her up, careful not to cause her extra pain. "How did you get into a mess like this?" he asked with a slight smile.

Cristina gasped slightly as their eyes met before she spoke," So not... in the mood for small talk right now."

He raised his eyebrows slightly, "Fair enough, Dr. Yang... We'll get you fixed up then," he said as He found an empty exam room and laid her on the gurney.

She winced again, "Dammit, Meredith you and your Mcdramas."

"You know talking to yourself is the first sign of insanity," he added and was about to start an examination when Meredith came in.

"Cristina! How are you feeling?" she asked.

"So that's her name," Owen thought surprised.

"How does it look like I'm doing?" Cristina snarled. "Can you just pull it out?"

Suddenly the chief stormed in hearing what happened, "Yang! What the hell happened? Get her on a monitor, and order a portable chest x-ray."

"I'm fine my vitals are stable just pull it out," Cristina said through clenched teeth.

"You be quiet," the chief ordered with a stern look noticing the solider from earlier in the room. "Major Hunt since you're already in here I'm going to give you privileges to treat her," he said escorting Meredith with him out of the room.

Cristina laid back and closed her eyes for a second then opened them to see the soldier looking at her as he sat on the edge of the gurney, "So how are you feeling?"

"How do I look like I'm feeling?" She muttered.

"You look like you could be better just lose the icicle and you'll be a doll again," he smirked at her.

Cristina shot him a look seriously and wanted to punch the guy in camouflage now was not the time for games.

"Let's try this again how are you feeling?" He asked again.

"I'm fine just pull it out," she said harshly.

"She's certainly very feisty," he thought. Demanding that the icicle be pulled out, glaring at him as if she wanted him dead, he figured he'd better comply, but her feistiness was most definitely turning him on.

"Just take the damn thing out!" balling her hands into fists. She had better things to do than lie in the ER with a stupid icicle in her chest.

"No you get stabbed in the chest and you're lucky enough to still be breathing," He said earning a glare in return.

"I went to medical school you know! Just take it out," Cristina argued again.

"Leave it in," he insisted and was about to grab the door handle when he heard her speak, "Where the hell are you going?"

"Just going to go get some supplies unless you want me to leave you here impaled," he chuckled.

"Ugh! Just hurry up!" she shouted at him.

While he was gone, the chief had sent 3 interns to Cristina so she could go back to the basics it was when one of the interns pulled out their phone and started taking pictures of her with their cell she lost her temper, "Stop taking pictures and take my picture you know what all of you out! Find me someone with a brain."

"Were those your interns?" Major Hunt said putting the supplies he found on a tray. "They look pretty scared of you."

For a second, Cristina didn't know if she should be insulted by the comment or just concerned about what he thought of her.

Note to self: She also wanted to strangle Major Hunt.

"I'm not scary!" Cristina huffed as she rolled her eyes at him.

He nodded clearly amused, "Right... your interns seem attentive."

"Attentive, my ass. Taking pictures of me with their cell. I'm impaled by an icicle. I can't defend myself. I am helpless here. I am disposed," she said, frowning and crossing her arms over her chest. He had been looking at her chart and flipped it shut.

"If you were in their place you'd do the same thing."

"I-" she stopped when she saw that he was right. "Shut up!" She shouted at him.

"You know you're kind of rude," he returned lightly. "I saved you out there."

"You did not," she spat out.

"Admit it I saved you," he said giving her a look. Cristina rolled her eyes, "Yeah yeah you saved the poor girl in the tower what do you want the Nobel Peace prize?" she huffed at him.

He sat down by her side and looked at her. "What?" she asked.

"Nothing it's just I've seen a lot in the field but never an icicle."

"Well, Major Hunt like you said you saved me out there or something," she reminded him.
