"Yang. Cristina yang."

"Right. Come take a look at this guy's pig," He frowned. "You see what he did? He stopped the bleeding, then moved on to his liver lacerations."

"Yes, but sloppy work can lead to complications. Two days from now when this pig starts vomiting blood, O'malley's gonna wish he'd been a little more thorough." Cristina said.

"He can come back later and make things pretty when his pig is stable. Meanwhile, your pig is getting acidotic If this was some scrawny kid instead of a pig, he'd be dead by now. Quick and dirty, Cristine."

"Ah. Cristina," She shouted at him.

"There you are! I've been looking all over for you," Meredith exclaimed appearing beside her.

"Why aren't you here in this stupid pig lab?" Cristina huffed glancing at her.

"Well I was on my way but then Derek paged me and told me to meet him on the rooftop and then he got on one knee and proposed!"

"Ha! Cristina laughed. "The next thing you're gonna tell me is you said yes."

When Meredith didn't answer Cristina looked up at her who was biting her lip, "No way you said yes? He broke up with Rose like a week ago and you're engaged to him? I should go kick his ass," Cristina muttered trying to figure out how she could get away from this stupid lab.

"Cristina! She started. "I know you think it's too soon but I'm sure about this and I think I want this."

"Fine I'll be the supportive friend but I'm not giving you a hug," Cristina clarified.

"Fine with me!" Meredith smiled. "I guess I'll go help George with that pig."

After Cristina finished her shift she headed over to Meredith's house with a bottle of Tequila to celebrate her person's impending engagement and how funny it'll be when Meredith officially became Mrs. Shepheard she just hoped Meredith didn't let Izzie help plan her wedding if she was having one but knowing Meredith there was a slight chance she might. Cristina put the key in the door and opened it to find Alex on the couch downing a bottle of beer and watching a game.

"Hey, where's Mere?"

"She's upstairs I think," Alex said getting up from his spot on the couch and walking towards the kitchen.

"I'm right here,' Meredith said coming out of the laundry room holding a basket of clothes.

"Oh, you're becoming a housewife 12 hours after getting engaged?" Cristina asked with a chuckle. "Already doing the hubby's laundry I see what's next you're going to cook brunch?"

"No I don't do Brunch besides we take turns doing laundry unlike someone who doesn't do any," Meredith said going upstairs with Cristina trailing behind her.

"Yeah, whatever shame on me I brought tequila and I'm sleeping over tonight since Shepherd is on call tonight."

"Fine with me," Meredith replied. "So I heard there's a certain redhead who is the new head of trauma. Or should I say the guy you made out with?"

"The Soldier? He probably was impressed with the hospital," Cristina said not wanting to make eye content.

"So this doesn't bother you at all that he's here," Meredith remarked. "Like at all?

"Why would it?"

"Well he works here now" Meredith started. "Which he only applied and wasn't even thinking of applying until after he kissed you don't you think he's here for I don't know you?"

Cristina started laughing, "Meredith you are going insane no guy would quit the army just because they kissed a doctor they know nothing about!"

"Well he did," Meredith beamed at her.

"You know what," Cristina said getting up from her bed and opening the bottle of alcohol and handing it to her, "Just shut up and drink."

2 more weeks of being a resident and Cristina becomes a fellow. Unfortunately, she was on Hunt's service for the rest of the week and the universe seemed to hate her that Hunt was up her ass all morning even though it was slow in the pit up until Noon.

"Yang I can't afford any mistakes this guy has some serious damage I need precision, not rookie errors!" Hunt scolded his gaze unwavering.

She looked up from the patient's chart and jeered at him, "I've got it under control Dr. Hunt no need to worry about rookie mistakes."

"This isn't some game Dr. Yang," Owen said about to make another comment when he noticed Shepheard and Sloan standing at the door of the trauma room. "Can I help you?"

"Yang paged us a head injury and burns," Derek said frowning.

"Yang, are you a doctor?" Hunt asked loudly.

"Of course, I am what does it look like I'm doing playing dress up?" She scoffed rolling her eyes

Hunt ignored her comment and turned back to the 2 doctors in front of him, "Appreciate the offer but I've got it covered."

"You have head injuries and second-degree burns I don't think you have it covered," Sloan argued.

"These residents need to learn that there isn't always going to be someone holding their hand or cleaning up their mistakes when they screw up so excuse me but I need to get this guy to the OR," Hunt added leaving Sloan and Shepahrd out in the hall. "Yang let's get him to the OR before he starts bleeding out!" Owen ordered.

After trying to salvage what was left of the man for 2 hours Dr. Hunt put Crisitna in charge of monitoring him but noticed that the patient wasn't going to hold on any longer. "Looks like we've got to let him go," He sighed sitting in the spare chair.

"His uh vitals are stabilizing can't we give him a couple more hours?" Cristina asked.

"No," he said firmly standing up. "His body isn't going to hold on until then the nurses have already started looking for his proxy so we can disconnect him."
