Owen had just finished his shift and was heading back to his hotel when he saw someone with long black curly hair sitting at a bench he knew exactly who that was and as he got closer to her he saw she had fallen asleep.

"She can't sleep out here, especially at night. It's too dangerous," He thought and found himself carrying her bridal style as he first did when he found her outside the hospital with an icicle in her abdomen.

He was extremely surprised that she didn't wake up with the shift of movement and noticed she was more calm when she was asleep. He placed her down gently on the bottom bunk of a nearby on-call room and admired how her features had softened up when she was asleep. As he was about to leave he couldn't help but linger for a moment. The soft glow from the dim overhead light gave her skin and hair a nice glow and she seemed so relaxed. The usual sharp and focused surgeon seemed to almost disappear.

Unable to resist Owen's gaze traveled to her face. He watched the rise of her chest and the subtle expressions that appeared across her face in response it was a different side of her he hadn't seen so vulnerable, ungraded, and utterly human. He couldn't deny the subtle beauty that sleep had bestowed upon her face and man her hair was just so lusciously beautiful. For a moment the weight of all that had happened to his platoon faded away leaving him only focused on her.

Shaking himself from the reverie Owen chided himself for staring but he couldn't help it this was a side he never had seen of her and it was something different within him.

"What are you doing, Hunt? She's your colleague. You didn't take the job to woo her over besides you just kissed her nothing more."

He gave her one last look before quietly stepping out of the on-call room and couldn't help but wonder about the woman behind the scrubs and surgical mask.

Cristina woke up unaware of her surroundings. When she realized she was in an on-call room she didn't remember going inside the hospital but she did have a good sleep getting up from the bunk she made her way through the halls until she reached the coffee cart on the first floor She needed a shower and food that's when Meredith approached her, "Hey! Why have you been answering your phone?"

"I fell asleep last night waiting for the results but anyway did you pass?" Cristina asked while looking for her results on her cell.

"You bet I did despite all the throwing up I made it what about you?"

"Looks like im officially a cardio fellow!" Cristina laughed. "No more living in hell where we have to answer to attendings and being used we get to torture residents and interns now!"

"I can't believe the chief is making us go to this stupid dinner," Alex said grabbing a coffee from the cart.

"Wait what dinner," Cristina and Meredith asked simultaneously.

"You haven't heard?" Alex asked stuffing a donut in his mouth. "He's making all the fifth-year residents and attendings go to some fancy dinner to celebrate us passing outboards and there's no backing out unless you're dying of a stroke."

"Too bad im not going im celebrating in my apartment with a bottle of tequila," Cristina said.

"Im with Cristina on this," Meredith said grabbing a donut.

"Guys stop being so negative! We are actual surgeons now don't you think we should be able to celebrate that?" Izzie beamed into the conversation.

"No." The other 3 said in unison.

"Like I said my way of celebrating is getting drunk at my apartment or getting drunk at Joe's not going to some fancy dinner," Cristina mumbled.

"Shush the chief is heading over here," Meredith said looking down at her cell.

"You kids jazzed about dinner?" Webber asked the group as he approached them.

"Yes sir," George said.

Webber turned to Alex, "Oh very jazzed."

"Yum!" Izzie said with a smile.

"Well call me Miles Davis 'cause I'm jazzed," Webber said as he left with a cup of Coffee.

It was around 8 pm when Cristina made it to the restaurant dressed in jeans and a nice top and took a seat where Meredith was seated. "Thank god you're here I don't think I would've survived if you weren't here to keep me company," Meredith said.

"Mm I wasn't planning on coming but did because of the free food and wine," Cristina mumbled as she poured herself a glass of wine. She suddenly felt a shift of movement behind her and turned around, "Ugh Hunt." She mumbled.

"Yes ugh Hunt is here," Owen said taking a seat across from her since it was the only seat left. "Can I Cristina you, or are we not there yet?"

"Not going to happen," she said.

"Alright. You're uh not going to have a problem with me sitting here are you?" Owen asked curiously.

"No why would I?" Cristina asked taking the opportunity to take a sip of wine.

"Well, I'm just thinking about the comment you made when you noticed I was going to sit here."

"Whatever," Cristina said as she rolled her eyes at him.

Before Owen could say anything else the food arrived with all types of varieties and the rest of the dinner went smoothly except for the times when Owen Hunt wouldn't stop staring at Cristina who was trying to ignore him and talk to Meredith.

"Would you keep your damn eyeballs off me?" She said gripping her fork in her hand.

"You're sitting across me so I'm kinda forced to look at you," Owen said.

"Oh wow, I don't know if I should be flattered or offended by that."

"I'm going to the restroom you coming with?" Meredith interrupted.

"Gladly," Cristina said as she got up fast almost knocking down the chair.
