The cosmic buddies and Adventure Kids fixed Inkwell Isles and smiled, giving each other high-fives.
Shane was practicing a new song for the Macy's parade. Luke and Garrett were in awe.
"How long have you been into music, exactly?" Garrett asked Shane.
"Since I was three." Shane says. "I was fascinated with instruments, rhythm, bands, and the stage. I even landed my first record deal when I was only 10."
"Holy cow…" Garrett says. "That's awesome…"
"I am in the presence of a musical genius!" Luke says.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies showed the fully repaired Inkwell Isles to Mugman, who smiled.
"Thank you for fixing my home. For that, I am grateful." Mugman says.
"The Inkwell Isles look even better than they did before." Chalice says. She then noticed Mugman, who was a lot taller than she remembered.
"Dude, did you grow to be an actual teen?" Chalice asked Mugman.
"Pretty much. I still fight, but I've grown a lot since Cuphead has been in that coma." Mugman says. "If he does manage to wake up, then he'll meet certain chaos at the hands of me and my new friends. All those years of being disrespected have finally caught up with me. I've changed since cheer camp this summer, Chalice."
Chalice blushed. She never actually saw this side of Mugman before.
"His apologies will mean nothing to me. I was disrespected by him and I don't want anything to do with him." Mugman says.
With Shane, he was watching Penny work. Her work always fascinates him. She was fixing the Shane-bot and then started working on her birthday gift for Luke, as she wanted it to be special.
"What are you making, my beautiful Penny?" Shane asked.
"A good luck charm so Luke will have his perfect birthday." Penny says.
"Are you sure that will work, love?' Shane asked.
"It will make sure that anyone who wants to make Luke upset will suffer badly." Penny says. "But I've made him an actual gift he can open. A futuristic gumball machine."
"Impressive! How did I get so lucky?" Shane asked with a smile.
"Now I need to get back to my world to tie up a few things." Penny says
"I hate when you do that." Shane says.
"It is what it is. Besides, I'll see you at the New York parade and hopefully at the potluck, too." Penny says. "I really would like you to come."
"Just me?" He asked.
"And Luke." Penny says.
"How to cook…" Ana says, reading as Kat was already cooking.
"Lisa, is there a way to merge our worlds?" Shane asked.
"Yes, but it's risky. It may not be November if we do that and it would be like resetting the timelines completely." Lisa says.
"I wouldn't do it." Charity said sternly. "Last time that happened, the Foxes exhausted their powers just getting everyone's worlds back to where they originated from."
"Fair enough." Shane says. "It's just, I miss Penny when she has to go. And it leaves me lonely."
"I understand, sweetie. But world merging is dangerous. And we don't want to go through that again." Charity says.
"Okay." Shane says, deciding that he wouldn't ask about that anymore.
Ana came home, getting Student Of The Month at the elementary school.
"This is wonderful!" Charity says with a smile. "I'm so proud!"
"Thank you." Ana says, hugging Charity.
November 12th arrived, and to most of Royal Woods, it was a normal day.
Luke pulls on his Oakley Academy Golden Knights Cheer sweatshirt over his school polo shirt. Then he gave Garrett his sweatshirt that said the same.
Alem tuber arrived at school. "Hello, everyone!" He says as Angry Luigi avoids the spotlight.
"Nice of you to join our class 20 minutes late, Randy. Take your seat, please." Ms. Jacobson says. He does so as English class starts.
At lunch…
"Your anniversary? Sweet!" Pedro says.
"Yeah I've been a hero for 13 years. Pretty cool, huh?" Alem tuber says.
"Neat!" Franklin says.
Angry Luigi sat alone without Colleen to drag him to Luke's table. Now things were back to normal, just him and himself. "I'm just going to skip the anniversary party. What's the point? Who needs people?" Angry Luigi says.
"Luke, 5-Volt says you can attend the potluck." Penny says.
"I know. Shane told me already. And I look forward to it." Luke says. "I am so sick of my family Thanksgiving feast, I could just spit!" Luke says.
"Oh, I was about to invite your family." Penny says.
"Bad idea, love. I think me and Luke will be the only ones coming from our family." Shane says.
"Can you please make an exception for Lucy? This is important to Ashley and Lucy is one of the few people Ashley feels comfortable with." Penny says. Since both Lucy and Ashley were into dark stuff and silence.
"Ugh, fine. But no more of my siblings will be coming, understand?!" Luke says.
Penny nods. "Why do you always go back there? It's like a divorce is about to happen at that house with all the bickering. One moment, you're hating each other and the next, your siblings are trying to love you. It's confusing and sad how toxic that family is. I'm surprised Ana hasn't run away." Penny says. She was not scolding Luke. She was just worried since Luke was never happy at his home.
"You and Shane should come to my house tonight and just try and see if it will feel better." Penny says.
"Me and Luke are looking at apartments in Petoskey Falls." Shane says.
"Oh, come on, just try it. One night. I've slept at your house multiple times. Besides, don't you want to spend more time with me?" Penny asked.
"I do. And okay. One night." Shane says.
"You haven't slept at her house? You gotta be kidding me. It's tradition. When you sleep over at someone's house, you gotta go vice versa at least once." Luke says, surprised Shane never did it.
"I said one night, Luke. And that's it!" Shane says.
After school, the Cosmic buddies were heading to the Mushroom Kingdom as they see a bunch of decorations.
"Finally, it's about time we got a surprise…" Alem tuber says.
Suddenly, Melony popped out of Alex's back and stuck out her tongue. "It smells In there!" She says as the cosmic buddies freaked out.
"Wait, who are you?" Jason asked.
Of course you dunderheads don't know me. You all paid attention to Garrett. I'm on his team!" She says.
"Why are you here?" Bill asked.
"I wanna join your team and go on adventures and live life!" Melony says.
"No." Emma says.
"Yeah, we don't want to drag you into anything." Jason says.
"You losers need me!" Melony says.
"What are you going to do? Shoot watermelons?" Bill asked as Bowser's ship flew by.
"Didn't Bowser take Cuphead prisoner for, um, what he did?" Melony asked.
"Yeah, but we gotta stop Bowser." Angry Luigi says as the cosmic buddies leaped in. It was a wild rush as Bowser was knocked back. Delta did 80% of the work.
However, Melony cut the rope as she expected Bowser to fall in, but nothing happened. The prisoners fell out, plus his gold.
"My gold!" Bowser says as he falls out.
"Melony, that was amazing!" Savannah says, holding Wendy.
"Told you I'm useful!" Melony says, licking the axe.
"You kinda just killed Cuphead." Emma says.
"It's a video game world. We don't take falling damage, but Melony, you freed Cuphead." Jason says as Melony leaped after him, holding watermelon seeds and tossed them into his straw.
"Seed devastation!" She says, making the seeds explode. Milk rained down, then the cup fell on her head, giving her a concussion.
"It's been a while since we went on an adventure." Mona says. Wario grumbled as Cuphead's arm fell on him.
"Ow!" Wario says.
"I'll take that. Mugsy says he wanted proof that he no longer wanted anything to do with his brother, and I think he'll love having this as a reminder that nobody messes with Mugsy." Mona says.
Wario growled and gave Cuphead's arm to Mona. Mona then left.
Bowser fell on Wario.
"Wario!" Mona says, rushing to his aid.
Meanwhile, Cuphead woke up as Melony had put some of him together.
"What's your deal?" Cuphead asked.
"I needed proof that I can be as great as Garrett. Plus I need someone as my personal butler." Melony says.
"Mama-mia…" Mario says.
"Mario?" Luigi asked, worried that Mario may end up like Cuphead.
"Look, Mario, promise you won't hurt Luigi. He really feels like your shadow." Daisy says.
"No!" Mario says and starts explaining. Luigi has beaten King Boo 3 times and saved him.
Later, the party began as it was really in Melony's honor.
"Behold, my living room!" Penny says as they enter her lab.
"Oh, wow…" Shane says. Luke just looked silent.
She sat on the chair. "Think of anything and it will come." Penny says.
"Like what?" Shane asked. Shane thinks of popcorn and it comes.
"Hey, Garrett, I'm a member of the Cosmic buddies and I beat Bowser and Cuphead by myself!" Melony says on the phone. Garrett was working on the new cheer for basketball season.
"That's great, Melony. Is that the only reason you called?" Garrett asked.
"No, I wanted to ask something." Melony says.
"What is it?" Garrett asked.
"Do you wanna come to my place for Thanksgiving? I sort of live in Greendale." Melony says
"If my family didn't need me in Royal Woods, I'd say yes. Plus, I have some friends from New York coming to see me and I don't get to see them often. And all of my mom's family is coming from Texas and they want to see me now that I no longer have my wheelchair." Garrett says. "My mom says this Thanksgiving is going to be a celebration of my recovery."
"Yeah, you're all cured. Well, I'll never see you standing, goodbye." Melony says hanging up.
Mario thinks and wonders, should he go to New York? Luigi and him met the Ghostbusters and Luigi did convince Mario to help a young girl, not wanting her to lose her best friend.
Flashback
"So you want us to help a young girl and protect a ghost?" Delta asked as Luigi nodded.
"Okay, fine!" Angry Luigi says.
Mario got an idea. Since Professor E. Gadd had ghost friends, he could let them meet a certain ghost.
With Penny, she brought pizza. "Yeah, my parents died a couple of years ago, but I'm okay." Penny says.
Shane felt bad for her.
Meanwhile, Sam offered Luna an invitation to go to her place if her family got too crazy on Thanksgiving. Luna accepted the invitation without a bit of hesitation.
Later, Shane was on his laptop. He was working on some things. Things that only he was working on. Part of it was to get him and Luke a place in Petoskey Falls.
"You could move here." Penny says, then remembered. "Shoot, time loops, I forgot. I wish you could stay here, then there would be an infinite time loop" Penny says.
"But then I'd miss out on my senior year of high school and so many other things, you know." Shane says.
Penny nods.
Meanwhile
"I have 3 things to achieve. 1, winning ANH. 2, beating Begmax, and 3, getting a parade." Melony says.
"Take it easy." Peach says as Shocker was eating away.
"I still can't believe we have a new member." Bill says.
"Your best member!" Melony says.
"She's getting too much fame from us. She has to go." Alem tuber says.
"Yeah, I don't like her style." Alex says.
"I'm just too awesome." She says.
Later, Peach got the piñata out.
"You try." Peach says.
"My first piñata! Okay, I'll go for it!" she says and actually hits her head, unable to actually feel the piñata since it was not on the ground.
Rachel was boxing up a gift. "Mom, Dad, who's coming for Thanksgiving?" She asked as Pam was training Emma.
"Rachel, you and your siblings are going with me to your Aunt Veronica and Uncle Dorian's house in Huntington Oaks for Thanksgiving, remember?" Gabriel says.
"Oh, great, anything to be away from them." Rachel says.
"So what about Christmas? Are we spending it there, too?" Oliver asked.
"Yes. They invited us for Christmas as well." Gabriel says.
Skylia had a small smile, that they would be happy. She had given up on trying to get them and her kids to get along and had a feeling they may leave permanently.
"We're back." Alem tuber says.
"So this is your house." Melony says.
"Quit following me." Alem tuber says.
"Not until I get to the Inkwell Isles!" Melony says "I wanna show the world my big accomplishment." She says.
"Who is this?" Skylia asked.
"The newest member of the Cosmic buddies." Melony says holding a bag and some things. Alem tuber sighed, annoyed.
Melony soon arrived at the Inkwell Isles and showed Cuphead's body.
"Cuphead?" Kettle asked.
"I beat the former hero of Inkwell Isles and he's now my trophy." Melony says as fans cheered. Mugman smiled at this.
"Put him on a pole and put him in the yard." Mugman says.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, I'm keeping him." Melony says.
"Technically, he's my property." Mugman says.
"Fine, I'll find a new butler." Melony says wanting to actually embarrass him
"Find a pole, Chalice. Tonight, Cuphead is a sacrifice." Mugman says.
"So, a family reunion." The devil says as Melony turns to see him.
"You don't scare me." she says as Mugman was stammering.
"Look, Chalice, you kinda broke our deal. So I still need to take your soul, you, mug, whatever you are, will pay for embarrassing me. And you, Cuphead, will-" the devil says, noticing Cuphead running off as he notices glue.
"Come on!" The devil says and goes after Cuphead. Melony glared and shot seeds, only to miss.
"Hey! I'm going to beat him, not you." Melony says.
"Man, what a day, can't we talk about this?" Cuphead asked.
"No!" The devil says.
"Okay, then we can fight." Cuphead says.
"Nope. Tonight, he dies." Mugman says, dragging his brother off. "You'll see him in hell soon enough."
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies were listening to music. They were getting word of Cuphead's execution that would be later tonight. To their surprise, it wasn't Luke that would be doing the honors.
"Okay, okay…Enough is enough!" Kettle says, trying to play peacekeeper. "Cuphead, say sorry."
"Fine, I'm sorry. " Cuphead says
"Not accepted, why can't I execute him?" Mugman asked
"Taking someone's life is like drugs you can't stop. that's a mistake you can't take back." Kettle says as the boys get into a fight cloud, but Kettle separates them.
"I wanted that toy!" Mugman sobbed.
"Wait, you both started all this over a toy?" Kettle says. "What about the other bickering?"
"Cookies and money." they say.
"Cuphead, you gotta pay him back. And you, Mugman, violence is not your style. Honestly, we all have roles and violence is not your style. Mona loves your caring nature, not this homicidal side of you. Can't you get along for my sake?" Kettle says.
"Fine. But you're walking on thin ice." Mugman says to Cuphead. "Remember that."
"Fair enough." Cuphead says.
"I'm going to become queen of Inkwell Isles!" Melony says, walking off. Kettle sighed in relief and fainted.
