Luan came into Shane's room with the others, having made him French toast and bacon for breakfast. Shane smiled at the group standing before him.
"Happy birthday, Shane!" Everyone says. Shane would never tire of hearing this.
Shane smiled, ate his breakfast, and got dressed and ready for school.
"Play tryout day!" Luke shouted with excitement as Shane grinned and left with Luke.
Penny was braiding her hair as her grandfather made breakfast for her.
"So, what's on your agenda today, my budding pop star?" Dr. Crygor asked Penny as he served her breakfast.
"Science club, then cheerleading, then Shane wants to be in a play, so I'm going to try out for it, too." Penny says.
She arrives at school and sees Melony in some sort of disguise, telling a story. Penny sighed. Melony must have snuck out.
"Attention, everyone, the birthday boy, Shane Loud, is in the building!" Luke says, entering with Shane, who is wearing the Birthday King Shane sash and the gold crown, smiling at everyone.
Everyone cheered for Shane as he walked through the halls of Oakley Academy. It was decorated with pictures of him. Shane grinned widely.
Soon it was time for play tryouts and after Shane tried out, he got the lead role.
"Eeeeee! Shane is going to be SpongeBob!" Girls screamed.
Luke smiled he got a decent role, as Patrick Star.
At school in Diamond City, Ashley was eating lunch, tired of being forced into going to Shane and Luke's parties and they were pressuring her to go today.
Ashley sighed. all her friends were going to, she might as well. But 5-Volt could see she was tired of this and told her she didn't have to go.
18-Volt would be the DJ at the party tonight alongside 9-Volt, so naturally, both boys were excited for this. It was the biggest party in the multiverse, like every Luke and Shane party as lots of people wanted to show up.
Meanwhile, Penny feeds Shane his lunch.
"Congratulations on getting the part of Sandy the squirrel, my love. You have a natural talent for acting and singing and all that." Shane says with a smile, eating bites of his taco salad.
"You should quit science." Remy says.
"I can do both." Penny says.
"Don't you dare underestimate my beautiful Penny." Shane says to Remy.
Meanwhile, Lucy hears Haiku discussing going to a ghoul school and frowned. She was going to miss Haiku and her friends.
"What about Royal Woods and Luke and Shane's parties?' Lucy asked.
"They're not goths, Lucy." Dante says.
"You could come. There's a real vampire there." Haiku says.
"No, thanks." Lucy says.
With Shane, he was warming up for cheer practice as Garrett came in.
"If it isn't the movie star…" Shane sneered.
"I'm sorry…" Garrett says as Melony spies on them.
"When's your next interview?" Shane hissed.
"Saturday." Garrett admitted.
"I. Hate. You." Shane growled.
Soon, they practiced as no one could focus. Luke hissed as he blew his whistle.
"GOLDEN KNIGHTS CHEER, IF NO ONE FOCUSES. THEN WE WILL BE PRACTICING FOR 3 HOURS AFTER SCHOOL!" Luke screamed.
"Excuse you?" Penny says. "It's not our fault! Garrett's causing this and you are not going to make Shane practice for 3 hours on his birthday."
"Then let's focus!" Luke hissed. "We have a basketball game to cheer at tomorrow!"
Boston was screaming when he realized Melony snuck out. He glared and called his bodyguards he hired, then called the Golden Shooter to get Melony home.
The Golden Shooter was watching a soap opera and got a call in his head and accepted the hunt and started flying to Earth. The Golden Shooter was being stealthy. Ironically, this was the one time he wasn't trying to be evil, just doing his job.
Melony was walking, but the Golden shooter grabbed Melony who couldn't sense him since he was flying and flew out of Royal Woods.
"Put me down, you golden robot, wait, on second thought, don't." Melony says. He dropped her off at her house as she looked annoyed.
"Wait, I thought he was evil…" Penny says.
Shane pushed Garrett down and left after practice.
Meanwhile, the Louds finished school and went to iFly to start decorating. Shane came home and went to his room, slamming the door.
"Shane, baby, what's wrong?" Sharon asked.
"Garrett got me in trouble!" Shane screamed. "And he has a movie interview on Saturday!"
"He has a what?!" Forest says, coming in from work.
"His movie producers invited him for a meeting!" Shane screamed.
"He isn't going anywhere. He's grounded." Forest said sternly.
"The world is talking about him and stealing my attention!" Shane sobbed. "Garrett has ruined this day!"
"YOU'RE NEVER LEAVING THIS MANOR AGAIN!" Forest screamed at Garrett. "EXCEPT FOR SCHOOL AND CHURCH!"
Garrett looked down, ashamed.
"Come on, we gotta set up for Shane's day. Hopefully we can save this day for him." Leni says.
They spend time setting up, then use the rest of the time to do their homework. They sort of slacked off as they had to spend time with Shane this week. Lisa helps them with their homework within 30 minutes.
Soon, Shane was rehearsing for his entrance as the others study.
"I believe I can fly…I believe I can touch the sky…" Shane sang as he practiced the moves he would do on his harness.
At 6:30 p.m., Luna took the stage in a custom pilot outfit.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the skylight. I invite you to put your seats in the upright position to give it up for our glorious and wonderful guest of honor, the birthday king, Shane Loud!" Luna says.
Shane flies out on his harness, singing I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly, much to the delight of his guests. The guests cheered and screamed for Shane as he flew around and did some amazing moves. They record this, especially Penny, who is loving this a lot.
Shane soon landed and stood tall. "Thank you for flying Shane Loud Airlines. You are free to move around the party." Shane says, winking at his guests.
Everyone cheered and girls screamed for Shane.
The party began with gifts as he opened Forest's gift, which was a model airplane kit. "Awesome! Thank you!" Shane says to Forest.
Bill had sent him a remote control plane, despite being unable to attend. Shane liked it all the same. Luna got him a new stage jacket with his name in rhinestones. Shane squealed and hugged Luna.
He then opened Sam's gift, which was tickets to Mick Swagger's next concert in Royal Woods. Shane screams with excitement. He loved Mick Swagger just as much as Luna and Sam.
Luke's gift was next as Shane opened it. It was a set of keys to a new tour bus for the summer. Shane squealed even more.
"I love it!" He says to Luke. "It's amazing!"
He picks up the gift from Penny and smiles when he sees it was the drone he saw at the mall last week and wanted.
"Thank you!" Shane says, covering Penny in kisses as she blushes. He opened Sasha's gift to reveal a purple rock guitar with Shane's name on it in silver glitter.
"Sasha! This guitar is awesome!" Shane says. "Thank you! I just adore it!"
After gifts came the indoor skydiving portion of the party. Everyone took their seats around the skydiving simulator, dressed in their skydiving suits.
Penny went in with Shane and smiled. The two of them felt free, just floating through the air and smiling. It was truly exhilarating for them and both of them truly enjoyed the experience.
Luke and Marcy were next. Marcy was a bit nervous, but she felt better knowing she was with Luke as they got in the simulator. Luke loved it and Marcy did love it after a while.
Mona and Mugman went in and kissed as they did their skydiving session. Oliver went in by himself and enjoyed it.
After skydiving came the Raising Cane's catering. There were chicken fingers, fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, and some fruit trays. On another table, there were custom Shane Loud Airlines airplane cookies that Stephen made and some Rice Krispie treats shaped like airplanes.
There were also bags of Fritos and Doritos, taco meat, and nacho cheese to make walking tacos. And there was soda, tea, and lemonade to drink.
Shane took a plate and loved the chicken fingers, fries, and Texas toast. He even got a cookie and an airplane-shaped Rice Krispie Treat. And some sweet tea to drink.
Lucy sat in the vents, watching the guests partake in the food as they all chatted and laughed.
Kat grumbled as she was waking up, smelling oatmeal, and freezing.
"No!" Kat screamed looking at her body red spots galore
Ana was worried.
"Don't worry, you aren't going to bathe in oatmeal, Kat. You're getting a regular bath. Then calamine lotion and rest." 5-Volt says to Kat.
Ashley was working on potions in the basement.
"Can I go?" Red asked.
"No." Ashley says.
With Shane, he was handing out some customized airplane-themed goody bags due to the "no piñatas" policy at iFly. Kids loved them and so did a lot of Shane's guests.
They began to eat some of the candy. Shane chewed on a cherry-lemon Starburst Swirlers candy stick.
Penny smiled as she ate a few pink Starburst from her goody bag. Sasha had some Sno-Caps that were in her bag.
Lucy later reads a poem about Shane and how 17 years old does take him to new heights. After that, it was time for the instructors to do their skydive show.
Shane and his guests were in awe as they watched the entire show, enjoying the stunts and high-flying moves that were exhibited. Shane cheered with Penny and Sasha.
Savannah had made a cake for Shane and sent it to Luke about a day ago. Luke smiled, knowing Shane would like it. He went to prepare it for the presentation.
Shane was admiring the merchandise at the iFly gift shop. He ended up getting shirts for Penny, Sasha, and himself. But he left his "pilot-in-command" outfit on.
Shane then came and sat at his cake table, smiling. He couldn't wait to see his cake. Luke soon came out with it. And it was truly a sight to behold.
It looked exactly like an airport. The words Shane Loud's Spectacular Seventeen Airport was on it in white icing and there were edible planes made of chocolate on an edible plane runway. A toy Shane dressed as a pilot stood proudly in front of the airport itself. The candles were on some little plane-themed cupcakes accenting the cake.
Shane took a picture of this cake to add to his Memorable Birthday Cakes book.
"This is awesome!" Shane says as more guests took pictures of it, too. Luke then lit Shane's candles as everyone sang to him.
Shane's face broke into a grin as the singing continued. He then made his wish, which was for his last two days to be good, and to do well as SpongeBob in the winter play.
Shane then blew out the candles on all the little plane cupcakes as everyone cheered for him and got their share of the airport cake. Penny and Sasha take turns feeding Shane his cake, which made him very happy.
After the party, it was sleepover time, so everyone headed to the manor. The fans had dispersed, so it was just Shane, the Foxes, Luke, the cup trio, the siblings, Penny, Sasha, Anne, Marcy, 9-Volt, 18-Volt, Garrett (reluctantly), Stephen, Remy, and Oliver's Hexside friends.
9- and 18-Volt started playing some music behind their DJ setup as the sleepover soon got underway.
Shane and Penny were dancing to the music as Luke brought out the sleepover snacks.
"So, when do we get to play the game you organized?" Remy asked Shane.
"Soon." Shane says, grabbing a handful of cheddar jack-flavored cheese crackers and eating them.
Melony was considering sneaking out knowing Garrett would be alone and overwhelmed. She snuck out through a secret exit after breaking her parents' phones. She'd rush off.
Soon, the sleepover games began. After a few rounds of Twister, All Wild! Uno, and balloon volleyball, it was time for the game Shane planned. He held two hats and the Bean Boozled game.
"I am on a roll!" Marcy says. 9-Volt and 18-Volt looked interested. A tired Ashley grumbled as Red looked interested.
"Ladies and non-ladies, gather around! I have a game we will all play!" Shane says with a smile.
"What's it called?" Penny asked.
"I am so glad you asked! We are going to play a game I call Truth, Dare, Or Bean." Shane says. "The rules are as follows. The person who is holding the hats will ask truth or dare to the person next to them, which in turn, the person has to pick from the blue truth hat or the yellow dare hat. But if they choose not to do what the slip says, that individual will have to take a bean from the Bean Boozled box and eat it."
"Who's first?" Ana asked.
Shane holds the hats out to 9-Volt. "He is." Shane says. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare." 9-Volt says and takes a slip of paper from the dare hat, which reads whistle a song with a mouth full of chips.
"Now comes the question. Will you do the dare or eat a bean?" Shane asked. 9-Volt started whistling a Mario song with chips in his mouth.
It then went to 18-Volt, who chose truth, and the slip read When was the last time you pulled an all-nighter?
"Do you want to answer that or eat a bean?" Shane asked.
He looks around as 5-Volt was looking after Kat. He then noticed Ashley and sweatdropped. 9-Volt winked as he rushed to Ashley and gave her a drink that she accepted and drank.
"When don't we pull all-nighters?" 18-Volt says.
"Yeah, I haven't slept in 3 years." Marcy says, drinking coffee.
"Answer it or you can eat one of the beans." Shane says.
"Last night." 18-Volt says truthfully.
Later, it was Cuphead's turn. He chose dare. The dare slip read Drink 3 shots of the hottest hot sauce, well, at least the hottest we have.
"Dare or bean?" Shane asked Cuphead.
"Dare." Cuphead says.
A few moments later, he was in the bathroom as Mugman soon took his turn. He chose truth. The truth slip read Where was the last place you and your love partner made out?
"Truth or bean?" Shane asked him. Mugman was blushing.
"The Inkwell Isles, in the very back of the town theater." Mugman says.
Oliver soon took a turn and chose truth. His truth slip read Name the most embarrassing thing you've ever done in public.
"Truth or bean?" Luke asked.
"Bean." Oliver said and grabbed an orange bean.
"That bean either has the sweet taste of peaches or the gross taste of barf." Luke says. "Eat it, Oliver."
Oliver eats it as it tasted like barf. His siblings laugh as he spits it into the trash.
The game went on until it finally came to Luke.
"All right, Luke. Truth or dare?" Shane asked him, holding the hats.
"Truth." Luke says. Luke drew a slip which read What is the most embarrassing thing you've ever looked up on the internet?
Luke blushed beet red as he took a blue bean.
"Berry blue or toothpaste. Eat up!" Shane says.
It tasted like toothpaste. Luke swallowed it after chewing it up.
After that game, they sat and watched Hamilton on Blu-ray as Shane laid against Penny and Marcy was being held by Luke.
"This is one of my favorite musicals…" Shane says.
Halfway through, Luke yawned and fell asleep against Marcy. Marcy smiles and strokes Luke's hair.
"So, what are we doing tomorrow, Shaney?" Penny asked.
"An 80's-themed skating party at the Cosmic Skate-A-Torium." Shane says. "It's the coolest roller-skating rink in town!"
"I'm excited already!" Penny says.
