The next day, everyone was waking up.
"That was amazing! Lucy, you did it! The party was a success and Luke, everyone loved your ice cream snowball fight." Charity says.
"I…what?" Lucy asked and blushed.
Luke grinned and blushed modestly.
After church, Shane and the Louds were secretly setting up an appreciation party for Luke and Lucy.
Melony woke up and winced as her feet hurt.
Flashback
Melony gasped and backed away from the tanks and stomped on the ground as watermelons rose up and slammed into the tanks, then she shot seeds, making tanks explode and causing a fire around Greendale as Melony coughed. Gem watches as Melony's feet are burned.
"Grab her!" Gem says. But a silhouette of Delta saves Melony before a silhouette of Alex kicks some men. A silhouette of Chrissy punched some guards. The cosmic buddies glare as they disappear.
Melony groaned and realized that the missile hit her house while her family was still in it. She wondered if they were alive.
"Mom, Dad?" Melony asked as she tried to get up.
"She's awake!" Savannah says.
"Where is my family?" Melony asked. The cosmic buddies looked down.
"They didn't make it out alive." Bill says sadly.
Melony began to tear up as she ran off.
Meanwhile, Shane sends Luna to keep Luke and Lucy busy while he decorates. Luke already had plans to hang out with Marcy and Anne, so this made it easy. Luna would just keep Lucy busy.
Shane had put up some Arctic blue balloons and set up a ball pit. He put pictures of Luke up and smiled.
Meanwhile, Melony was running as Gem sees this.
"I will avenge them." Melony says coldly, then thinks about ANH. Melissa couldn't be on the team anymore.
She clenched her teeth and sobbed as the police hesitates to shoot Melony and lets her run.
She ran to Bill's lab. "Tomorrow, I'm going to Royal Woods." she sobbed. "Tonight, I want revenge."
Everyone gasped.
Meanwhile, Shane finished setting everything up.
"Amazing!" Lana says.
"You did great, Shane." Charity says.
"Luke is the best party planner ever. Lucy can be sometimes, but she only put together the Broadway theater party. Luke gave me a whole week of mind-blowing birthday celebrations, and I kind of owe it to myself to thank him properly." Shane says.
"You are so kind, baby." Sharon says.
Meanwhile, Lucy was planning Luke and Shane's birthweeks for next year. But didn't include any goth-type activities. She'd save those for her own birthday.
She planned a water park party for Luke in the summer to celebrate him being halfway to 18.
Luke was heading home as confetti fell on him.
"Surprise!" Everyone says.
Luke was stunned. "What is this about?" He asked.
"A thank you party for the greatest party week ever." Shane says as Stephen was training Haiku to bake like him.
It didn't mean Stephen would stop baking altogether, it just meant Haiku would help him when he couldn't work or needed help on a big order. That was enough for Haiku as she knew that Stephen would take over his family bakery one day and that's why he works so hard.
Luke smiled at this. "I'm quite honored." Luke says. "But isn't this for Lucy as well?"
Lucy came in. "What's going on?" She asked.
"I wanted to thank you for not letting my birthday week end on a sour note" Shane says
"You're welcome " Lucy says.
"Why don't we work on Shane's 18th birthweek together?" Luke says, wanting to help Lucy get better as she smiled. "But no opera and nothing in the goth category. For either of us."
"Fair enough." Lucy says.
Soon, Luke and Marcy danced and Lucy wrote some poems alone like usual. Even though it was also her party, attending social events was never something she liked doing.
"You did a great job." Haiku says to Lucy, who was sitting next to her.
"Thank you. I just wanted Shane to be happy." Lucy says.
Melony was sobbing as she planned her revenge on Gem. She wasn't going to let Gem get away with killing her family. All that over a broken nail? Well, Melony would make sure she wouldn't have to worry about that anymore.
Despite being blind, she gathered up enough footage to show the whole town what a mean spirit Gem really was. And she had a plan in place to make sure Gem wouldn't get out of this. She was ready for tonight.
Meanwhile, Haiku looks at her flier for the school then looks at Remy. She sighed, crumpling up the flier, not willing to go through with it. She couldn't leave him and besides, Lucy was her best friend.
"Lucy, Remy, I'm staying after all." Haiku says with a smile.
Meanwhile, Shane shows a highlight reel of Luke's best planned parties. Especially the karaoke party, which was the best one Shane ever had, among others.
"This is incredible!" Luke says.
"You gave me the best week of celebrations ever. In Petoskey Falls, I would have only gotten 2 days, 3 days tops. But having a whole week about me really made my 17th year of life special." Shane says to Luke as Luke smiled.
Later, he opened Shane's gift, seeing an advanced party planning kit.
"Thanks, Shane! I was running out after the insane parties I gave you." Luke says
Lucy sees her gift and sees a new poem book and smiles.
"Thank you, Shane." Lucy says.
"Oh, great, Gem just revealed the second trailer of your movie" Alem tuber says to his brother.
"Is Akito in the trailer?" Angry Luigi asked.
"I wouldn't be worrying about Gem for much longer." Melony says.
"Melony, what did you do?" Savannah asked, knowing Melony wasn't a peaceful type.
"Don't enter a war you can't win. But if you do, I wanna record it." Keith says.
"For Pete's sake, give Luke and Shane an interview. If you want to really branch out as a news reporter, they're your key." Alem tuber says.
"But I like recording you guys." Keith says.
"Then keep that camera rolling, because I have a plan. I just need you guys to be by my side and I need Garrett." Melony says
"Huh?" everyone asked.
"If I'm going to beat a spoiled brat whose father is the mayor of Greendale, then I'm going to need a mayor's kid by my side." Melony says.
"Okay, but let's do it tomorrow. He's at a party." Bill says
"Nope. The party he's at won't last all day. Shane and Luke are going to be rehearsing for ANH afterwards, so there you go." Melony says. "Garrett will be willing to help since his rehearsals aren't exactly happening right now, considering he's on a two-show suspension with me."
"Okay, I'll go get Garrett." Alem tuber says and rushes off. "The Cosmic buddies are going to take back Greendale and mess with Luke a little."
"Stay on task!" Melony says. "Luke isn't a priority here!"
Angry Luigi and Emma sigh as they go to follow him.
Alem tuber arrived at Royal Woods. "I can't believe I'm back." He said and rushed by as people were stunned to see him back. But knew he no longer lived here.
"Hero coming through!" Alem tuber says, rushing by people and jumping over the gates to the manor.
He knocks on the door. Charity answers the door while Shane is in the kitchen with Garrett and Luan, serving the party food.
"We need to take Greendale back and we need Garrett's help. Normally we don't ask for outside help, but this is something we cosmic buddies don't normally do. We have no clue on politics." Alem tuber says.
"Well, Garrett is busy helping Luan and Shane, but I can ask him if he wants to help you kids. It's only fair if I at least do that." Charity says.
Angry Luigi speeds past her as he gets memories of the few times he had a sleepover with Luke.
"Hey, Luke, I'm back." Angry Luigi says.
"You don't live in Royal Woods anymore, though." Luke says.
"I mean back here, ugh, you know what I mean." Angry Luigi says.
"Let me guess, planning to take back Greendale? Why do you need Garrett's help instead of the Foxes?" Jason asked.
"Unlike Luke, Gem is a spoiled brat, so she had mayor powers." Angry Luigi says, pointing at Charity.
"Why don't you join us?" Leni says.
Emma groaned. "Task at hand!" Emma says.
"One thing. If Garrett is physically harmed, you kids will be in a lot of trouble. Got it?" Charity says.
"Got it." Angry Luigi says.
"I'll be back someday." Alem tuber teased as they left.
Gem smirked as people were really hating on the trailer as it showed Melony having the spotlight instead of Luke and Shane.
"Gem!" Sabrina says to her rival, glaring.
"Oh, if it isn't Sabrina…" Gem says.
"You've gone too far!" Sabrina says.
"Whatever do you mean? I only did what I did for Luke and Shane. Melony nearly ruined their weeks." Gem says.
"Garrett ruined Shane's week, but he's at least owning up to his actions!" Sabrina says. "Not just letting it happen!"
Garrett came up with Melony, and Gem's father turned white with fear.
"You never did anything." Gem says.
"Oh yeah?" Melony says and pressed a button as nothing happened
"And, now" Melony says pressing it again
"Wrong button." Garrett says. Melony pressed the right button. Melony uploads highlights of Luke and Shane with help from the cosmic buddies to show to everyone.
Luke shook his head and got up. He got dressed for school in his very best school uniform, combed his hair, pinned an "It's My Birthday" button to his Oakley Academy blazer, then went down to breakfast.
"Happy birthday!" The siblings say as Luke comes into the dining room for breakfast.
Luke looked around and smiled at the donuts. "Oh, my! Is this my birthday breakfast?!" Luke says, surprised.
Charity nods. "Of course, my sweet treasure!" Charity says as she kisses Luke 17 times with one to grow on.
Luke giggles before eating 5 donuts and a small bowl of fruit salad. He then heads off to school as Shane and Penny were waiting to walk with him.
"Happy birthday, Luke!" Penny says.
"Thank you!" Luke says.
Soon, Luke came in and gasped upon seeing his High School Musical cake with 17 donuts around it and 17 candles. It said Happy Birthday To Our Spectacular Luke!
Luke smiled a bit at this as Charity lit the candles on the cake. Everyone then began singing to him as he tried hard to give everyone a genuine Luke smile.
"Make a wish, Luke!" Penny and Mona say, cameras in hand. They were working together on his Spectacular Seventeen highlight reel and wanted to include all the cakes, wishing, and candle-blowing in it. This was one of many gifts that they had in store for Luke.
Luke smiled and made a wish, wishing for the next few days to be perfect and blew out the candles. Rachel feeds Luke his cake.
Mona heads to her school. She saw Penny arriving with Shane at Oakley Academy, and the three of them saw Luke's friends. They rolled out an Arctic blue carpet for Luke's entrance into school. Luke gasped with delight upon his arrival.
"Oh, an Arctic blue carpet entrance? How amazing!" Luke says.
"Making his grand entrance, the birthday boy himself and a real superstar, Luke Huntington!" Lonnie says.
Everyone cheered as Luke smiled and walked the Arctic blue carpet.
After that, he sat at a table by himself. Suddenly, Stephen came out with the cake. He baked a moon-themed cake that said Happy Birthday Luke Huntington, The Brightest Star In Outer Space! in Arctic blue icing and it had 17 white candles. There was even a toy Luke dressed as an astronaut, holding a little American flag. And there was a toy rocket on it as well.
"So amazing!" Luke says. He loved this cake a lot.
Leni took out a camera and so did Penny and Mona. Penny recorded this as Luna lit Luke's candles.
Everyone began to sing to Luke. Luke wished that no one would try to ruin his birthweek again. And he wished to do well at the Michigan Cheer Classic tomorrow. He then blew out all the candles and removed the toys off the cake as everyone cheered for him. Luke had four pieces of his cake.
Luke made his way to the elephant enclosure and boarded his elephant. Luna stood in the middle of the zoo, wearing a bright blue jacket. "Everyone, here comes our birthday star, Luke Huntington!" Luna says.
Fans cheered as Luke made his entrance on an elephant to the song That's What I Like by Bruno Mars.
"Wow!" Lana says as Kat and Ana have fallen asleep. Luckily, Penny recorded it so the girls could see it.
"Let my party begin!" Luke says.
The party begins with the elephant rides as Luke rides with Marcy.
At 6:30 p.m., Luna took the stage in a custom pilot outfit.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention to the skylight. I invite you to put your seats in the upright position to give it up for our glorious and wonderful guest of honor, the birthday king, Shane Loud!" Luna says.
Shane flies out on his harness, singing I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly, much to the delight of his guests. The guests cheered and screamed for Shane as he flew around and did some amazing moves. They record this, especially Penny, who is loving this a lot.
Shane soon landed and stood tall. "Thank you for flying Shane Loud Airlines. You are free to move around the party." Shane says, winking at his guests.
Everyone cheered and girls screamed for Shane.
Penny went in with Shane and smiled. The two of them felt free, just floating through the air and smiling. It was truly exhilarating for them and both of them truly enjoyed the experience.
Luke and Marcy were next. Marcy was a bit nervous, but she felt better knowing she was with Luke as they got in the simulator. Luke loved it and Marcy did love it after a while.
Mona and Mugman went in and kissed as they did their skydiving session. Oliver went in by himself and enjoyed it.
The footage ends "I made that for Luke and Shane. And everyone, she killed my family over a broken nail."
Gem's father gulped. People began to boo Gem, who ran away.
"I will return, Sabrina!" Gem says while running.
"I wonder who will be mayor?" Sabrina asked as Atticus shrugged.
"Maybe I will be mayor." Drell joked.
"We just let her get away…" Angry Luigi says
"Yeah, and if she comes back, we'll strike her down." Alem tuber says
"Garrett!" Melony sobbed and hugged him, letting her emotions out.
"I'm sorry for your loss, really, I am." Garrett says. "But if this revenge is all you needed me for, I need to get back home now."
"Heck, no we gotta celebrate " Sabrina says holding Garret's hand
"I was already celebrating with my family until you dragged me here to help get revenge." Garrett says, annoyed.
"Oh, and here we were, going to make a party in your honor, but go ahead and thank you." Melony says.
"Hold on…in my honor?" Garrett says.
"Yeah, for helping us." Alex says.
"You don't have to do all that. You just brought me here to show a spoiled girl that she couldn't get away with everything." Garrett says. "I'm already facing consequences for what I did during Shane's week and I basically have to live with it right now."
"Still, if it wasn't for you, we'd all be most likely dead." Savannah says.
"And you deserve a party for this and your basketball win." Bill says.
"But it wasn't a major game. Just a regular season game and all." Garrett says. "Besides, I shouldn't get all the credit for this."
"Yeah, he should be lucky he wasn't against us. Go on home. Next time we meet, we'll be enemies." Alem tuber says, pointing at Garrett.
"And we'll get the last laugh." Alex says and ran off as Angry Luigi shrugged.
Soon Garrett returns and sees the others playing games. Lucy was still sitting with Haiku in the vents.
Luan brought a piñata out as Luke grinned and broke it open. He grabbed his share of the candy as Shane and Stephen brought out two cakes.
"Stephen and I baked them." Haiku says as Lucy sees the cake Haiku baked 90% by herself which was meant for Lucy. Stephen made Luke's cake.
Luke's cake said Thank You, Luke, For All Your Party Planning Services in Arctic blue icing.
Lucy's cake said Thank You, Lucy, for helping finish a good birthweek strong.
Leni lit the candles as there were 17 for Luke and 15 for Lucy. Everyone began to sing a song of appreciation to Luke and Lucy.
Lucy was going to wish for Luke to win, but looks at Haiku and wishes for Remy to at least tie with Luke or at least get that far. He was too sick to win last season and knew that wish would make Haiku happy.
Luke thought for a minute, then decided to wish for Remy to win or at least tie with him. Remy's Raiders was his and Shane's idea, and it hurt him to see Remy leave the show abruptly last season.
They blew out the candles on their cakes as everyone cheered for them.
Rocky feeds Lucy, who smiled and blushed as Leni took a picture. Marcy fed Luke some of his cake. Leni squealed and took another picture.
