Remy arrived at school the Monday after his celebration weekend. He was walking through the halls, not noticing much.
Melony came in nervously as her special needs teacher saw her. She gasped.
"You poor girl…" The teacher says. "Are you okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine." Melony says, uncertain.
Luke and the others were talking about stuff.
Remy walked into class, unnoticed.
"Hey, Remy's birthday is coming up soon!" Luke says.
At lunch, Melony went outside and started training.
"Okay, I can get bett-" she says before she ran inside. Her face was green as she clapped her hands over her mouth, looking for her teacher, who usually spoiled her. Melony hated being spoiled, but she didn't want to vomit in public.
Her teacher took her into the bathroom as she threw up in the toilet for a good 45 minutes.
With Luke, he saw Remy sitting quietly at his table.
"What's wrong?" Luke asked.
Remy just stayed silent.
"Is it Melony?" He asked.
"NO! IT ISN'T!" Remy screamed.
"You're upset that the whole school isn't advertising your birthday?" Luke asked.
"More like all my RSVP cards say the same thing! Nobody. Is. Coming. To. My. Party!" Remy shouted.
Luke holds him. "I'm sure Haiku's going to show up at least. She loves you." He reassures Remy.
The others came, seeing Remy shedding tears. They all comfort him.
After school, Remy ran past everyone and into his mother's limo. He was angry and hurt.
Haiku soon came to his house. She saw Remy tearing his RSVP cards in a fit of anger. She hugged him.
"Uncaring! They're all just uncaring!" Remy shouted.
The day before his birthday, everyone was in Anaheim for the next round of ANH competition. It was also Remy's first performance since his recovery. Remy was looking forward to this and had prepared himself for this.
Garrett came in, seeing Remy dressing in his costume.
"So, are you excited?" Garrett asked Remy. "All of America is excited to get to see you back on stage!"
"Yeah, sorry about what happened to Shane." Remy says.
"He's fine." Garrett says.
Melony came in. Remy had nothing to say to her.
"Remy, look, I'm sorry." Melony says.
"If you mess up my welcome back performance tonight, I can never forgive you…" Remy says.
Melony nodded. Remy started combing his hair and warming up his voice.
With Luke, he was trying on his costume for the show.
Penny came with Shane.
"You two do look good tonight." Luke says. "Tomorrow is a big day."
"Indeed it is." Shane says.
Melony was rehearsing as lots of pressure was on her to do well tonight.
"Garrett, I need help." She says.
Remy is still feeling upset inside, about his birthday tomorrow, knowing no one will come. The thought of an empty birthday party broke his heart. He walked off after rehearsal, tears stinging his eyes.
Gemma and Dave noticed Melony secretly leaving.
"Where is she going?" Gemma asked.
"Why is she leaving?" Dave asked.
"Garrett, can you check on her?" Gemma asked.
Garrett found her in downtown Anaheim. "Melony, what's going on?" Garrett asked.
"I'm scared." Melony says "I have no one and I'm going to screw up." Melony says, traumatized from having to eat the worms and the abuse.
Garrett spent 30 minutes reassuring Melony.
The show was now an hour away from starting. Remy sat on the dressing room couch, sobbing. Stephen and Haiku comfort him.
"Nobody will be at my birthday party tomorrow!" Remy cried. "I just know it!"
"Sure they will." Haiku says.
"Yeah, right…" Remy sniffed.
Soon, the show starts as Gemma and Dave are now on stage.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to Disneyland in beautiful Anaheim, California!" Dave says.
Fans cheered.
"Tonight, we bring you a night of Disney magic on our Disney Night. Our teams have some wonderful performances planned for tonight's show and we know you'll love them! Tonight 6 teams will be eliminated to make our top 14 teams that will move on to our Dance Craze show in Galveston, Texas! If you want your team of choice to dance the night away in Galveston, you must vote!" Gemma says.
"So, let's bring out our first act of the evening, the Adventure Kids!" Dave says.
The Adventure Kids got ready as they soon got on stage, performing Colors Of The WInd from Pocahontas. It was indeed a wonderful performance.
Fans cheered for them as they finished.
Melony came back as Garrett, Remy, and Stephen were ready.
"I need time." she says.
Garrett nods. "I'll go tell them." He says.
The Foxes get ready to go next.
Fans cheered, excited to see what the Foxes have planned for their performance.
Emma was bouncing, excited. The Foxes waited for their introduction.
"Coming up next, the quints who are here to win your hearts, the Foxes!" Gemma says.
Fans cheered as the Foxes came on stage and performed their routine with the song I've Got A Dream from Tangled.
Gabriel was smiling and recording this. The quints worked hard on this routine and he couldn't be more proud.
Emma cheered as they finished. Emma had a Pam flag, which Pam herself smiled at.
The cups, Mona, Art, and Deco were preparing to go next.
"Coming up next, you know them and you love them…" Gemma says.
"Cuppy and Mugsy! Cuppy and Mugsy!" The crowd chanted.
"Yes! The Hot Slice Experience!" Dave says as Mona takes center stage. She then performed Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid with the cups wearing Flounder costumes and her bandmates playing in the background.
Fans cheered for the group as Mona smiled.
Luke was getting ready with Shane, Penny, and Sal.
"Let's do this!" Sal says.
"Luke, Shane, Penny, and Sal!" Fans cheered
Sal was surprised, hearing his name. He smiled at this as he went on stage with Luke, Shane, and Penny. Gemma introduced them, even though they were already on stage.
They began their performance of Try Everything from Zootopia. This was a performance that took lots of time to practice due to the timing of the song.
The crowd loved it. Girls screamed for Luke and Shane. Boys fainted at the sight of Penny.
Melony was shaking backstage as Garrett, Remy, and Stephen were getting ready. Melony got up.
"We're the final group to go up." Stephen says.
Luke had his solo as the crowd cheered.
Remy had walked out of the show venue.
Haiku ran after him.
"What, Haiku? My welcome back performance night is about her again." Remy says.
"Who?" Haiku asked.
"Maybe it's b-best if everyone just forgets my birthday in advance…" Remy says. "I heard my party was being given to Melony…"
"No, I'll make sure it won't happen." Haiku says.
Melony overhears this and goes to Garrett. "I think you boys should perform without me."
"Why?" Garrett asked.
"I'll probably screw it up. Plus I don't think Remy feels comfortable with me." Melony says.
"I think he knows that his party is being given to you…" Garrett says.
"What party?" Melony asked and knew it was a trap. Garrett sighed and explained.
"I don't want it, I was tortured and worse." Melony sniffed.
Remy had left Disneyland.
Haiku goes to bring him back. "You can't quit, Remy. This is your night. Quitting won't do you any good." Haiku says.
Remy sniffed. "Just forget my birthday in advance." He walks off.
"Honey!" Victoria says, going after Remy. "What's wrong?" Victoria asked.
Remy cries and tells her.
She holds him. "Do you want to perform tonight?" She asked him.
"No one cares about my 18th birthday at all!" Remy cried.
"Yes, they do, sweetie. Your friends have been working so hard for you." Victoria says.
He sighed, knowing he had friends.
They arrive and get ready.
"Coming up next, making his grand return to America's Next Hitmaker…along with his friends Stephen Meyers, Garrett Miller, and Melony… REMY ESTEVEZ!" Gemma says with excitement in her voice.
The whole arena cheered when they came as they all chanted Remy's name.
The group put on their performance of Prince Ali with Remy playing the role of Prince Ali himself.
Girls fainted as Remy smiled and sang a little bit. He then smiled as he struck a pose at the end.
"HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY, REMY!" The fans cheered and shouted. Remy smiled as Dave hit the platinum button for him.
After the show, Remy still felt mad.
"I'm sorry." Melony says to him.
"It's okay, I guess." Remy says. He then leaves.
