Red Reaper's Resolve

Chapter 1: Helping Others

"Mom, why do you help others so much?" A young boy asked his mother. The mother son duo were just outside their humble home. Gathering in the beautiful sunset reflecting on the ocean coast. The gentle breeze caressing the ocean, giving off the sound of peaceful and calm waves.

This was their tradition, as long as the boy remembered. Both of them take in the hidden gem close to their home. Most of the time, he just watched the gorgeous view in silence, sometimes asking his mother simple questions. The young redhead used to complain about why they were doing something so odd to him, but only after a couple of these meetings did he truly learn to appreciate these tender moments with his mother.

Today is the day where the boy understood his mother's resolve.

It's also the day where he learnt his resolve.

"Well my little rose bud, I sometimes find myself asking that at times. More often when I'm out on missions." The boy's mother replied with her always soft and gentle tone. Her voice can soothe any worry away.

She then knelt down next to her son, smiling as beautiful as the sunset in front of them.

"It's because my son, it's the right thing to do. Some people can be in situations where no one else can help them, many times where they're all alone in the world and they have no one to turn to when people are in need of help. I never want anyone to feel that way." His mother responded while always keeping the serene smile and gentle voice like always.

The boy's big silver eyes glistened at his mother's words. He honestly didn't know what to expect from super mom!

He helped other kids while it was recess during day care. Whether it'd be children needing an extra to play Huntsman and Grimm, or to stand up for a kid who's been picked on by mean kids… who's said kids are much bigger than the boy standing up against them.

However, the child didn't give a damn and was more than happy to help those in need. Helping others is merely common sense in the Rose family, and he looked up to his mother. The bedtime stories about heroes his mother would read to him and his elder sister further reinforced that message.

Even though he stood up to the bullies, he was somewhat reckless. The bullies naturally banded together against him and battered him until his older sister showed up and delivered the bullies twice the beatings they had given her adorable little brother. Despite the suffering he endured, he had no regrets at all. Despite all the bruises he received from them, he continues to smile when he helps someone.

The boy smiled brightly at his mother, "I know! Helping others in need is what a true hero should always be!" The son put his fist at his chest proudly, exclaiming his passion.

"That's my son. Though you should be careful when saying that to girls, they might get the wrong idea of you liking them." His mother teased, while ruffling her son's hair.

"M-Mom! Girls are icky!" The boy pouted at his mother, he pawed at his hair in an attempt to fix it.

The mother chuckled at her son's response, "You say it now, but you'll understand when you get older. You'll grow into a handsome young man, I wouldn't be surprised if every girl turns their head to have a good look at you. You have my adorable looks!" She pinched her son's cheek playfully, he really did have his mom's looks.

"Moooooooommm! Girls are bossy, mean, did I mention icky?" The boy rubbed his previously pinched cheek.

He just didn't get along with girls his own age; he wasn't particularly cruel to girls. Except, of course, for his big sister. Clearly, he was still in that stage of life where guys and girls are fierce rivals. He would never want a girl to be sad though. He would always try to lift someone's spirits if they were in tears.

But for some reason, when he was there, girls would act strangely—whether it was just chatting to them, offering assistance, or even just passing by! The girls typically fidgeted anytime they were near the slightly red haired boy, so he didn't understand. The most peculiar part was that it didn't seem upset with him, even though he assumed girls just disliked him. Whenever he attempted to engage a girl in conversation, she would simply stammer and turn away.

He was the only boy on Patch that experienced the kind of behavior from girls his own age. When he questioned his parents about it, his mother replied it was because he was cute, but he dismissed it because his mother had always said so about him. When he brought it up, his father would grin and tell his son, "You've become quite the chick magnet kiddo, you're gonna go places!" His father never actually said anything. He wasn't sure what his father was getting at, but he figured it had to do with aging or something.

He asked his uncle about it, all the man does is just gives his nephew a pat on the back and says, "Just don't break any hearts kid."

When he asks his sister about it, she just gets all quiet and mumbles about other girls just taking advantage of her younger brother. She told him if any girl gets too nice to him, always tell his older sister. Usually when it happens, they leave the boy alone whenever his older sister is nearby.

"Like I said little rose bud, once you get older, you'll understand." His mother simply said, just like what his father always said to him about girls.

His mother gazed upon the everlasting sunset, her facial expression turning neutral with a slight hint of sadness in her silver eyes.

She then spoke once again towards her only son, "Garnet. I'd like to give you something, it's very important that you listen carefully as well." She gently said. His mother knelt down at his height and put a hand on her signature silver rose crest.

She removed her silver rose crest. She took her son's hand and placed the pin gently on his own hand.

With the sweetest smile the boy has ever seen graced his mother's face, she clasped both her hands on her son's hand.

"With this crest, I'll be there with you, little rosebud. Whenever you feel hopeless, lost, sad, or going through a tough time, you won't be alone. Take this pin, my son, it'll make you strong whenever you need strength. I'll be watching over you whenever I'm not around. I will always love you, Garnet." She removed her hands away from her son, her smile never left her face while saying her heartfelt message.

The boy looked at his mother in astonishment, gazing upon his newly received gift. He shone a gentle and pure smile, then immediately wore the pin to his chest. The pin shined brightly due to the sunset before them, reflecting the pure rays of light off of it.

"T-Thanks mom! I'll always love you too! I'll always wear it!" He beamed brightly, he quickly wrapped his mother in the biggest and most heart hug he could manage. She giggled slightly and returned her son's hug with both her arms.

After their moment, they once more took again the sight of the sunset before them. The boy would always cherish this moment, he would never forget it.

Unbeknownst to him however, it'd be the last moment he'll share with his mother.

In the early night of the streets of Vale, there is an effeminate teenager with slightly long but delicate black hair, with some parts of his hair highlighted in red. His face had no trace of masculinity, so he was often mistaken for a girl.

It was quite inconvenient.

He was clad in a short-sleeved black tunic with slight hints of red. He also wore pure black slacks and kept up with a leather belt. With black boots laced with red strings, the out-sole of the boots is in pure crimson. He also wore a pure red cloak; as childish as it may be, he'd honestly feel naked without it. Complete with his cloak, he wore a red scarf.

To top off his entire outfit, he had his silver rose crest placed near his heart. He'll never leave without it no matter what.

Garnet was currently trying to refill his supply of dust and ammo. He just depleted it shortly after a small pack of beowolves were harassing a small farm on Patch. He dispatched them with ease, but honestly it irked him slightly due to the fact he just ran out of his dust supply.

He shook his head in annoyance though, he tried to get to the main city of Vale as soon as possible, but due to the increase of dust robberies in Vale recently, the passenger ship he boarded on had to go through inspections.

So with the big time delay, he had to somehow look for a dust shop open at night in the city.

Garnet wandered the streets almost aimlessly. He honestly wondered why he was still in search of a dust shop still open in broad moonlight. For the same reasons as he was late traveling to the city, many shops were recently closed about an hour earlier than usual.

Darn dust robberies, he was sure to get back at whoever was causing them.

As soon as he thought that, his wish was answered. If you can even call it wish.

He saw a group of burly men in the middle of the street. They all seemed to be wearing some kind of uniform of sorts. Suits maybe? All of them were also wearing red-tinted circular glasses with rounded black hats. They seemed to be headed straight towards a dust shop.

Honestly, it seemed like your everyday villainous goons for an old timey superhero flick.

That wasn't even the weirdest part Garnet was checking off. These individuals were parading around with red swords in the middle of the street, attracting the attention of onlookers! It's as if these guys are asking to be arrested. Speaking of arrested, where the hell are the police?

Garnet shook his head in disappointment, some law enforcement. He quickly dialed the emergency line on his scroll and told them there's a group of men with weapons about to rob a dust store called 'Till Dust Till Dawn.'

He put away his scroll and slowly approached the group of men. Trying to assess the situation about to unfold. All unbeknownst to them.

Garnet noticed there was a particular individual among the group which easily stood out. There was an orange haired man with a bowler cap. He wore a long white trench coat. The man also lit up a cigar too.

'Probably their leader,' Garnet thought. He stood out way too much to not be their leader.

With no law enforcement still not in sight, Garnet had to take matters into his own hands right now. He honestly can't just let this small dust shop be robbed now.

The group of men entered the dust shop with Garnet trailing behind them without their knowledge. With his semblance, he briefly phased silently as soon as the last member went through the door.

Seriously these guys were robbing a dust store and their spatial awareness was pretty much at the bottom.

He stopped using his semblance and quietly hid himself in the back of the store corner. He was trying to listen in on the conversation that was taking place in front of the store, it appears to be the leader and the store clerk talking to each other.

"Can't find a dust shop open this late at night eh? How convenient! Well, for us that is." The orange haired man smirked, he lit up another cigar.

"P-Please! Just take the money and don't harm me and my store!" The clerk pleaded, he was pretty much shrinking at what was gonna transpire here.

The leader smiled dangerously. "Oh no no, you're mistaken here. We don't want your money! How lucky are you!" He gestured towards his men, "Grab the dust and no one gets hurt." The men wordlessly followed his orders. They began to steal dust from the tube dispensers, and began stealing the more expensive dust from the display. Despite their short awareness, the men were clearly quick and precise when stealing dust, it's like they were doing this for quite some time now.

"Hey old timer. I know you got more in the back. Unlock the door before me and my men don't just steal your dust." The orange haired man threatened.

The clerk stammered. "I haven't had any s-shipments lately. The Schnee Dust Company hasn't shipped much dust as of late due t-to…" The clerk trailed off. Most likely if he finished his sentence, it would be bad news for him.

"A-Anyway, what I have out here on the floor, is all the stock I have!" The clerk finished, he was visibly shaking.

"Think you can pull a fast one on me huh? Listen here friend, I've been doing this for a while. You know who I hate more than the police? liars. Last time someone lied to me, he ended up dead on the street. So I suggest you start moving along and show where the rest of your dust supply is." The leader threatened. He definitely wasn't believing any of the words the clerk said.

'Can't promise the store won't be harmed here. Sorry, clerk.' Garnet thought silently. He wasn't gonna let any of those goons hurt the clerk though, he was currently the only one in the store besides the robbers and himself of course. He readied his weapon, Crescent Rose. As soon as one of the goons saw Garnet, he took action immediately.

The goon was blasted through the store front, glass shattering across the street at night. Garnet used his semblance to get outside, trying to get all of the robbers' attention to get them to leave the store.

He transformalized his weapon, slamming it into the ground with some of the asphalt flying through the air. Crescent Rose, his weapon was a large mechanical scythe, with a gun of course. Designed kind of like his uncle's weapon, only this time his scythe had two scythe blades. One blade on one end, the other blade facing the opposite direction from the other end. His scythe had three forms, one was using it as a high compact sniper rifle. The current one was its standard form, as for the third form…

He was gonna save it for later.

"Who the hell…" The leader of the robbers went right near the entrance of the previously shattered store front. He gazed upon who was the perpetrator who literally threw one of his men outside.

Garnet took notice he brought the leader's attention, so he tried to provoke the leader some more so that he could take the robbers' attention away from the store to him.

"Hey didn't someone teach you to play nice with others? You're a little too old to play rough." Garnet smirked slightly as he still had his Crescent Rose at the ready.

The orange haired man furrowed his brow in annoyance, "Hey kiddo, isn't it past your bedtime already? Or someone should put you to sleep?!" The leader snapped back. He waved towards his remaining men beside him, "What are you idiots waiting for?! Attack the boy!"

Garnet felt a small sense of relief wash over him, they seemed to focus all their attention on the young man now. He'd much rather take the hit rather than an innocent who didn't do anything wrong, as long as he protected those who can't protect themselves, he was more than willing to take the brunt of those who threatened innocents.

Two of the goons were closing in on the red-haired boy. He lifted his oversize mechanical scythe and leaped towards them in between. For a brief moment, the men were clearly shocked by how small the boy was compared to his weapon. It was pretty much twice his size! Garnet took advantage of this and swung Crescent Rose in a way where both of them were hit by the opposite ends of his scythe. In an instant, both of them were knocked out.

'These guys have an aura at least. Well not by much but good enough.' Garnet thought, he sensed they did have some aura. It was just enough for him to know that he shouldn't be afraid of injuring them. It'll definitely still hurt, but not enough to leave scars.

More of the robbers were closing in on him. Garnet prepared himself again, he twisted his body along with Crescent Rose towards the group of men that were circling him. With a couple spins of his body and weapon, the men lunged backwards at the impact. The men were trying to parry his swings with their swords, but due to how huge Crescent Rose was, it only just made them launch backwards at the impact. Some of the men's swords were swept away from Garnet's swings.

Garnet realized these men were very inexperienced when it came to fighting someone who dealt with a large number of enemies. Their attempt at using their obvious numbers advantage was a good choice, but were terribly timed. They really should've gone to him in a separate amount of time. Them attacking at the same time really weren't helping the group. Especially when his double bladed scythe, it was essentially perfect when being surrounded.

"The hell are they feeding you kids nowadays? Anyway, Red, as much as I'd like to chat, I have other plans tonight." The leader appeared before Garnet after he dispatched all of his goons. The man pointed his cane at Garnet, and with the sudden gesture, Garnet instinctively put his scythe to shield his body. Thankfully, he did it perfectly in time. The leader fired a powered-fire dust bullet towards the boy. It kind of caught him off guard, but he rapidly recovered.

When the smoke dissipated from the attack, Garnet took a look in his surroundings. The goons were still knocked out, but the most glaring problem was the man disappeared. Not really, Garnet took a look around to see the man climbing up a ladder at one of the tall buildings making a getaway.

The young boy glanced at where the dust shop was. The clerk was thankfully unharmed. In a rush, Garnet said to him "The police will be here any minute now! Sorry about your shop, but I'll go after the leader!"

"It's okay, I'm just thankful I'm not hurt anywhere. Just go after him! I'll be fine, thank you so much young man." The clerk responded.

Garnet nodded at the clerk, immediately, used his semblance to catch up to the man atop one of the buildings. The leader was on the ledge, and suddenly a bullhead appeared. The man hopped on to it, the bullhead was swiftly gaining speed and height, it was getting away!

"End of the line Little Red! Oh! and a gift from yours truly." The man said as the bullhead was gaining away, he then reached into one of his pockets to pull out a red crystal and threw it near the young boy. Garnet realized it wasn't just a crystal; it was a high density fire dust crystal! If it exploded, no amount of aura could shield him from it.

This was bad.

Out of instinct, Garnet shielded himself with Crescent Rose. The criminal swiftly raised his cane and fired at the fire dust. Making a highly destructive explosion all across the rooftop.

Garnet should've been knocked out, or at least his aura completely depleted. He noticed someone defended him from the explosion.

In front of him, there stood a tall beautiful blonde lady. She was wearing circular glasses, her hair was styled into a bun. She wore a white dress shirt, there was a small window near the top of her… assets. Furthermore, she wore a black dress skirt, with black high heels. Everything about this woman seemed stern, at the very least.

That's not what caught the attention of the young boy, it was the fact himself and her were completely unharmed from the explosion. Something he saw what the woman did, her semblance.

There were small hints of purple glyphs whenever the blonde woman waved her riding crop. Then abruptly, the woman waved her riding crop, purple lights like laser beams appeared around her. They were launched towards the bullhead, causing it to stir and struggle in the air.

This woman is a huntress.

Garnet was amazed, a huntress saved him! He wanted to ask what her semblance was or how long she was a huntress. He badly wanted to ask her so many questions. It was not the time for it though!

Briskly shaking his thoughts off, he looked at the bullhead that was struggling to stay afloat. Though for some reason, the criminal wasn't on the passenger side of the bullhead anymore. Instead it was a woman with a red dress and high heels.

It was too dark to make out her face, Remnant's moonlight just conveniently not displaying her face. Instead the light showed off her long slender legs.

The woman on the bullhead then fired beams of fire off her hand. Huh, was it her semblance or something? Or was it a form of dust weaponization? Shaking his thoughts off, he transformed Crescent Rose into rifle form.

The blonde woman beside him blocked off those rays of fire with her own semblance, she used the broken asphalt to form a spear made of said asphalt. Then fired it at the mysterious woman.

She destroyed the spear, using once again her weird flame semblance! Garnet had one thought about the woman on the bullhead.

That woman was dangerous.

He fired off Crescent Rose towards the bullhead. The woman was blocking his bullets with her bare hands! Either she has a high aura density level, or it was another part of her semblance.

Even the woman besides Garnet was throwing everything she could at the bullhead, but to no avail.

The ground below them started feeling hot, Garnet glanced down quickly and instinctively rolled away from the area. The woman beside him rolled away as well, right in time as the ground exploded in flames.

After transpiring at what happened, Garnet looked at the bullhead. It was too far to stop it now. It faded off into the night.

Garnet looked towards the blonde woman beside him, "Y-You're a huntress! I've already notified law enforcement towards where the robbery took place, all of that man's goons were knocked unconscious at the scene. There were no casualties, though… a bit of property damage eheh…" Garnet reluctantly stated. He tried his best! Though, he wishes he can improve upon his gentleness when it comes to his surroundings.

The woman gave the boy a glare, he instantly winced at her sternness. "You're not off the hook. You're still coming with me to the police station."

Garnet inwardly sighed, he honestly expected this would happen. He just wasn't expecting a huntress to be the one to apprehend him.

It was gonna be a long night.

"Your actions will not be taken lightly young man, do you have any idea what could've happened to others and towards yourself? What transpired tonight will not go unpunished." The woman that saved Garnet stated. She was technically right, but Garnet still felt a little unnerved.

It was still night, though instead of the moonlight shining down on the boy, it was the police station's interrogation room's light. A dark room with only one light source. The boy sat nervously at the opposite end of the table, with the woman giving Garnet a lecture on what could've gone wrong.

"To be fair, m'am. No one got hurt! Well except those goons… A-Anyway, no innocents were harmed! I even notified the police before I took action! The police didn't arrive in time before the robbery was taking place, so I had to do something." Garnet defended. Sure a little bit of people got hurt, but it was those robbers! They could've stolen could be easily worth tens of thousands lien. Not to mention hurting the store clerk.

The blonde woman massaged her temple, "That's not the point. While you may have taken action against those men, you still would have risked yourself and others in grave danger. Not to mention you're incredibly young, how would you feel if a loved one saw you get seriously injured in a case of vigilantism? What would you think would've happened if I hadn't stepped in to stop the explosion on the rooftop?"

Garnet flinched at her words, she was right. If she hadn't saved him, he definitely would've been in a hospital bed instead of the interrogation room. If it wasn't for her, the woman on the bullhead could've seriously injured him too.

If he did get seriously injured, his old man would've kicked his ass for sure. Probably worse than the injury itself. He'd be grounded where the sun won't shine. Garnet was probably overthinking his punishment if he did get hurt, but he only assumes the worst of a situation.

His older sister would've been heartbroken. If her already over protectiveness wasn't too far already, she could turn it up to eleven. She'd nurse Garnet back to health. Last time Garnet got injured, she wouldn't leave his bedside for weeks! She was hand feeding him food as well. It was only from a sprained ankle.

His uncle… probably would've just pat him on the back.

"If it were up to me young man, I would've given you a pat on the back." She paused for a moment, Garnet's eyes lightened up just for a moment.

"And a slap on the wrist." She slashed her riding crop on the table, a little too close to Garnet's hands. He flinched and slightly moved away from the table for a bit.

"Though, there's someone that'd like to meet you." The lady stepped away for a bit from the door in the room only for it to be opened.

There came a man, probably middle aged. He has short gray hair with small tinted ocular glasses. He wore a green suit or shawl more specifically, with green slacks.

More importantly, he was carrying a plate of cookies!

As the man stepped forward towards the table he stated, "Garnet Rose." He slightly leaned forward to get a better look at Garnet "You have silver eyes."

"Uhm… thanks? I got it from my mother." The boy wasn't afraid to show off his gifts from his mother, whether it be looks or anything at all. He loved them, and cherished them.

The woman beside the man slightly put her head down for a brief moment, but just barely for Garnet to notice. The man in front of him slightly, only for a quick fraction of a second, showed some grief in his eyes. Did these people know his mother? He decided to not question their expressions for the time being.

Garnet can tell people how they're feeling from their expressions. The reason why he was so good at this is because when someone is in need of emotional support, he needed to know exactly how it was being portrayed from that someone.

He learned all too well ever since the fateful day with his mother.

"I see. Could you care to explain to me how you achieved this?" The man gestured towards the woman, she held up a scroll tablet showcasing footage Garnet fighting off against the goons on the street previously.

"From Signal Academy, sir." Garnet replied, something about this man is trying to test him. He was definitely important from a glance, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

"They taught you how to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" The man inquired.

"Well one teacher specifically." Garnet said, technically it wasn't a lie. The boy didn't want his uncle to get in trouble for teaching him the way of the scythe!

"I see." The gray haired man commented as he put down the plate of cookies and slid it over to Garnet.

Garnet stared at the plate of sugary goodness then at the man. Reluctantly one by one, each of the cookies on the plate were eaten by the boy.

'Not the best I had, but it'll have to do.' Garnet loved cookies, though he was quite picky with them. He loved cookies so much that he can easily rate them just by taste alone.

No cookies will ever be as good as his mother's.

As Garnet was stuffing himself with cookies, while politely as possible, the gray haired man spoke again.

"I only knew one other scythe wielder. A dusty old crow to be exact." The man said plainly.

Garnet paused as soon as he said those words, he looked at the man with a curious brow raised. "You know my uncle?"

The man smirked slightly. "Indeed, he's one of my colleagues in fact. I'd recognized that scythe play you displayed. It's quite distinct compared to your uncle's."

So he knows his old uncle huh? Not surprised by this fact, Garnet knew his uncle was quite the famous Huntsman. The man before him was his colleague? Garnet knows his uncle is a loner, but him working with this gray haired man seemed odd to Garnet. Is it his boss? Or something else? So many questions, his uncle wasn't the type to explain his stories in detail. Well… except for his skirt chasing ones. Garnet inwardly sighed disappointingly at his perverted uncle.

"Thank you, sir." The young boy replied, "He took me under his wing, his guidance helped me achieve where I am when it comes to combat." Garnet finished. It's true, he was pretty much just mindlessly swinging a stick around before his uncle helped him out. As perverted as his uncle was, he was pretty knowledgeable when it came to combat and weaponry. He even helped him out to get some of the materials for Crescent Rose.

The man nodded at his response and then continued, "So what does a young man such as yourself doing in a school designed to train warriors?"

Garnet thought for a moment, why indeed? For one, he wanted to help people as a huntsman. Being a huntsman is being a protector of the weak, people who can't defend themselves. Someone who has the strength where others can't muster up. A huntsman has the power to save others, give others hope.

Someone like his mother.

Though for the other reasons, he can't bring himself to think about it yet. Especially to a man and woman he just met.

"I still have two years left of training at Signal. My older sister is attending Beacon this upcoming semester. So I still have a ways to go to get there." The boy paused for a moment before continuing. "As for personal reasons, I want to help people. As many as I can, protect those who cannot protect themselves. As cheesy as it sounds, it's what I want. I want to give others a chance to live. In simpler terms, I want to be a hero." Garnet finished. He answered as honestly as possible, without giving away too many details. Every word he meant it though.

There was a very serious look in Garnet's silver eyes as he said those words. The man took note of his reaction with a slight smirk appearing on his face, the woman however seemed a bit saddened. It was the look of pity the woman gave off.

"Do you know who I am?" The man broke the silence. Garnet slightly raised a brow at this, to be honest. He probably should've asked who they were since the man said his full name as soon as he met Garnet.

"Maybe?" Garnet answered, he was still confused on who he was. It was on the tip of his tongue though!

"Well, you're in luck today young man. I'm Ozpin, I just so happen to be the Headmaster of Beacon, and beside me is Glynda Goodwitch." Ozpin said, with the corners of his mouth curving slightly.

Garnet was slack jawed. It was the Ozpin! Of course, he didn't recognize him since the dude rarely makes any public appearances online in the CCT news feed. Though he may have not recognized his face all that much, what he does recognize is his accomplishments. He was the youngest person to ever be appointed headmaster to an academy. There are rarely any records to say how strong he is. On many accounts, some of them say he's easily among the strongest huntsmen on Remnant. Maybe even the strongest human. The man was shrouded in mystery to say the least, no wonder Garnet was slightly putting his guard up since Ozpin entered the room.

Glynda Goodwitch was quite famous as well, her achievements were not one to scoff at all. Being one of the wielders of her rare semblance, she had many years of experience under her belt. All of which only the most capable huntsman could handle, she's very good at handling delicate missions or even missions that have almost no hope in completing. Garnet heard she retired, or the very least was occupied. Considering she's working under Ozpin she was most likely a professor at Beacon.

Garnet almost slapped himself on the face for not recognizing both of them.

Shaking his thoughts out of his head, he noticed Ozpin was gonna say something.

"Well Mr. Rose, seeing as your skills are quite exemplary and your motivations endearing. Would you like to attend my academy?" Ozpin said with a genuine smirk. Glynda only just rolled her eyes at him for knowing what's gonna happen.

"I'd very much like to, Headmaster." Garnet said, still shocked at the revelation.

Thus, Garnet Rose is one step closer to his dreams.

A/N:

Hello readers! I hope you guys enjoyed it, I'm still very very new to writing so please bear with me.

With that said, a gender bent Ruby Rose story! I've been craving for a Ruby harem fic as well, so I decided to put a little spin on it by making him a guy! With a little bit of added stuff that diverges some of the canon to make things a little more interesting! Instead of it being, 'What if RWBY. but Ruby Rose is a guy!' I wanted to add some things from not canon so instead of it just being a gender bent Ruby Rose, there will be more stuff later on in the story looking ahead besides that.

One of things I decided to change, is Ruby- well Garnet's personality a little. He's a bit more on the mature side and altruistic as well, but he will have some traits from the Ruby Rose we all know and love. Just not as intense as Ruby, he's very polite for his age and knows how to read situations and the mood really well. I can't wait till we get further into the Beacon to showcase more of his personality.

This story will be a slow burn romance. Sure Garnet is insanely attractive and pretty boy to many people, but girls won't just literally fall in love with him the moment they see him. There will be of course some moments where Garnet works his, 'Pretty boy charm' but it'll be comedic for the most part.

Another important note, in case you couldn't tell already, I am TERRIBLE at writing fight scenes. These scenes is probably the first actual fight scene I've ever written. As much I'd like to put as many action scenes in this, it'll definitely be underwhelming due to my inability to write action scenes.

This fic is also cross posted on AO3 too. I also use the same username on that website as well.

That being said, reviews, critiques, favorites, follows are all greatly appreciated! If you have any suggestions or advice PLEASE don't be afraid to say something, I will take it in stride to further improve my writing.

Please take care and see you next time!
