Chapter one

Yellow creature, with features resembling a cat, flying. To describe it, an alien? Maybe.
I don't know where I was, I don't know who I am, I don't have a body, but I know I must hear what the creature said.
"Don't be hateful, not everyone in this world is going to bring you down to the ground, everyone is the same. To be hateful is to be lonely, and you don't want that don't you?."
"Just because of a failed confession, and your rather awful appearance. I don't found you all that worth the hate."
"And wipe that frown off your face, try to smile even if it's fake."
"Grow up, this is a request."
What the hell did I just witness, the creature is all blurry, gone like a crayon drawing.

...
A limousine, a dog, and a hospital. What do they have in common? They crippled me. Hi there, I just got transferred for some reason, bet some students already started a rumours about a new student who missed class entirely and transferred a week into school.
Moving on to another topic, it's my first day at a new school in Tokyo. A former all girls high school mom said, and there stood me in front of the blackboard while Sensei is introducing me to the class.
A colourful classroom, devoid of any negative, feels delightful. No glares directed at me, maybe I can make new friends while I'm at it.
"..."
Why is there a kid here?
"Hikigaya-kun, introduce yourself now" The English teacher Tanizaki Yukari kindly said.
I feel nervous.
"H- Hello, I'm Hikigaya Hachiman, and I come from Chiba. Nice to meet you all" I rubbed my temple in nervousness.
"So Hikigaya-kun, you can si-" Sensei's word got interrupted by the door sudden opening, revealing a girl with short neck length black hair and a bright smile.
The girl widened her eyes. "Oh no! Yukari-chan is already here!" To which sensei twitched in frustration.
"Which means I'm late! Kyaaa noo!"
An annoying girl I see.
She looked around wondering why the whole room is silent, then she looked at me, "Hmmm?".
"Who are you?".
"Ah, I-I'm Hikigaya Hachiman, a new student here. Nice to meet you".
"Oooh, nice to meet you Hikigaya-kun, hope you like it here" She enthusiastically gave me a thumbs up.
"Thanks".
She directed her attention back to Sensei "And Sensei! As punishment for being late, I'm going to stand on the hallway!" Is this girl stupid?, then she shuts the door before Sensei could stop her.
"I don't really care, you know." Sensei quietly said.
"As I was saying, Hikigaya-kun, you can sit on the back next to Ohyama." Sensei pointed to the seat in the back row next to the door on the back.
Thank god, my favourite sitting arrangement.
So I went and sat on the back, while Yukari-Sensei continued teaching. English subjects were mostly easy since it's the second language I spoke, but I can't guarantee for another subjects since this is a top school.
"Psshhh... Yo" another student besides me whispered.
"Yo..?"
"Nice to meet you, I'm Ohyama" He extended his arms for a handshake, I accepted.
"Wow, your eyes are scary." Ohyama said, what he said is innocent. But to me, it's a critical hit.
"Thank you for the compliment."
Then, back to normal, except. "Waaaaa! No! There's water everywhere, bucket, towel, anything!?" The noisy girl outside shouted.
Seems like a fun school to be in.

"YO! New student Hikigaya-kun!" The annoying girl greeted me excitedly.
"You must know, this school is once haunted~" She joked.
"Just kidding! Teehee~" She bonked her head lightly.
Who would believe your joke if you're not serious about it.
This annoying girl, she kind of reminds me a little bit of Komachi.
Speaking of Komachi, I hope she's not uncomfortable at her new school. What if there was a boy who asked her out? Oh no, I must meet him. Wait for your Oni-chan Komachi!.
I faked a laugh "Very funny, but I never got to know your name"
"How couldn't you known? I'm the cutest girl in this school, Takino Tomo. Nice to meet you!" She strikes a pose as if she's a magical girl.
Good for you to assume I already know you.
"Oi Tomo, you made him uncomfortable" The girl with eyeglass interrupted our talk.
"And who are you?"
"Ah, forgot to introduce myself, I'm Mizuhara Koyomi. But you can just call me Yomi"
Then Takino said again. "Tell us more about yourself Hikigaya-kun"
"There's nothing interesting about me though..."
"There is." Takino enthusiastically countered.
"You're just embarrassed to say it."
I'm not embarrassed, it's the truth.
"Oh, Tomo, before that, can you buy us a lunch?" Yomi distracted the naughty Takino.
"Ah! I forgot to buy lunch! See ya later Hikigaya-kun!" Then she dashed outside, in a flash.
I sighed "Thank you."
"You can thank me later, you didn't seem like a sociable person at the very least" Your word is hurting me.
"Well, people avoid me. So it's nice to have someone talking to me the way Takino and you are."
Then the door slide open, Takino came back with foods on her arms, bread and snacks. Mostly foods that will go out because they are sought after.
"Goal!" Takino shouted.
"Y- You already bought it?" The flabbergasted Yomi asked.
"Very fast." The third girl following our conversation said.
Takino walked over "So, how much is my time?"
"... I didn't count it"
"Yaay!"
Takino looked towards me "Do you want some?" While handing me a melonpan.
"Thanks, free food is free food."
So we talked for the rest of the time.
And this is how I made a friend on my first day at another school, they all seem like nice people.
"Tada! Now off to challenging Chiyo!" Takino screamed.
"What did she mean?" I curiously asked.
"Her usual antics" Yomi answered monotonely.

...
Departure time, nothing feels better than finishing the tiring day at school, I want to go home as fast and play the new installment of the resident evil franchise. But Komachi hated that game, and I can't go against my sister's words.
"Oni-chan, haven't I told you you can't play that game?"
Like that.
"Owch..." The sound of a nearby hurt person, a girl by her voice, so I approached to make sure.
Long black haired, tall for a girl her age towering an average highschool boy. Letting a grayish cat biting her finger while she's hurt.
What the hell did I just watch?.
"Oi!" I screamed and the gray cat runs away into the dark alleyway.
The girl looked shocked at my arrival then calmed, I approached her and took her hand "Are you okay?" Stupid question, she isn't.
"Wait a second, let me get something" I said as I reached my stuff from my bag.
Then I bandaged her, her face looked more and more scary as I done it.
"Thank you, Hikigaya-kun" The girl thanked quietly.
I stopped for a second, then asked "Do I know you?"
"..."
"Hello?"
"Ah, you're the new transferee right? I'm Sakaki, we're the same class."
The same class, Sakaki. Oh, the quiet one, the one with the scary glare, seems socially awkward to me.
"Well, see you tomorrow" Then she walked away, and I walked the other way.
She let a stray cat bit her finger, strange, next time i can just invite her to play with Kamakura. Nice idea Hachiman, Komachi would love a new friend.
I can't wait for the next day.

"Etto, class, today we got a third transfer student" Yukari-Sensei said as the whole room heard tentatively.
Today, we got another transfer student. An Osakan, Takino is excited, while the other seems bored with another new student coming.
"Nee, when you think of Osaka, everything's there is fun right?"
"Maybe, she's a rival!" Takino shouted.
I know one who is quiet, wonder where she would be now.
Yukari-Sensei wrote the student name on the blackboard. 'Kasuga Ayumu' wow, what a coincidence. The one I was thinking.
"Now that everything's been cleaned off, Kasuga-san" Yukari-Sensei called.
Door open, she walked in. Her entrance was like any other, but I swear I'm not hallucinating whatsoever, there's trails of sparkles following behind her. As if, she's the one.
"Kasuga-san, Introduce yourself"
"Yes, Sensei"
"My name is, Kasuga Ayumu, I'm from Osaka, and I moved here from Chiba. Nice to meet you all."
Whispers and unnecessary attention pointed at me, questions like, Chiba? Isn't that guy over there from that place?. What a situation.
"No, don't be like that, you don't need to be so formal you know?" Yukari-Sensei cut her off, leaving the osakan confused.
"You can just say, nice to meet yew' uns!"
"Eh, but, but even in Osaka. I..."
"Don't be so shy, come on" Yukari-Sensei persuaded the refused one.
"Nice to meet yew' uns..." She said nervously.
Ayumu then glanced around the classroom, her eyes landed onto me, she was surprised, then she smiled. We glanced at each other before looking the other way.
The entire room seemed to notice, what a pain.
