Chapter two

Today I laughed to see today's dream, because it was a pleasant dream. The tiny girl in the sky and that person, aren't they becoming friends? Weren't they cute?
Feathers grow fluffy, even through a clock. She's doing an arabesque with wings.
Knowing that today's dream is for today, I feel I can do anything in a dream, when the tiny girl flies out to the sky. Then the time pavement is here.

As Sakaki sat on her seat while looking at her bandaged right hand, she frowned, her attempts at petting a cat failed again this time. But she will not give up this time, she had thought of another way to maybe sway the grey fur kitten's heart.
"...Is it because I smell?..." She sniffs her right hand in curiosity, much to her own weirdness.
Kaori watched unbeknownst to Sakaki, started blushing like a drunken pirate. Chihiro is weirded out by her friend's constant staring, but shrugged it off as some sort of admiration.
'Sakaki-san, her hands..' Kaorin with worry plastered all over her face a lot.
No one dared to ask Sakaki what happened, because she's kind of hard to approach. They are either too nervous to ask or just didn't care in the first place.
Sakaki looked across the room to a seat where Hachiman was peacefully sleeping, her eyes made it look like she was glaring, which she is not. The boy who was being stared at started to shiver like it was night all over.
'Ugh, what is this. Someone is boring holes at me' Hachiman with his anxiousness.
She's grateful for his help, even if it was very little. Though, she could not show her emotions proper, Sakaki is happy.
The whole room was messy, with chairs and tables not in the right place, because Tomo and Yomi are squabbling about a new transfer student.
"Ah, I must prepare my power for my new rival!~"
"Seriously..."
Yukari the irresponsible English teacher barges in with important announcement, turning every students attention in the room to hers, stopping chit chat, and waking up those who sleep.
"Okay class, let's clean this classroom up." Yukari announced clearly.

Well, this is unexpected, my old friend Ayumu transferred to my school? Oh kami yo~ why would you do this. Observing her from the back, she gets along really well with the others, especially with Taking and Yomi.
Though seeing how she sleeps through the whole hour of the lesson, can't handle P.E class because of her weak body, she hasn't changed that much it seems.
She even lost to Chiyo-chan, the only one to lost to the child prodigy.
She fits very well unlike her middle school year, and her interaction with the others, looked genuine.
Genuine, huh.
"I should go eat alone.." I said to no one in particular, as I walked and bumped into someone at the door.
"Sorry" the raven haired Sakaki apologized, her voice sounded like she tried to push herself to talk.
"No, you shouldn't apologise. It's also my mistake" I nervously replied.
After that, it became a little awkward, then I excused myself.

Lunch time, the bestest times ever at school, where I can be lonely all I wanted. I found a good spot at the back part of the school, there's also vending machine around, how lucky. A perfect spot for a loner like me.
The smell, I miss the sea smell, damn now I feel nostalgic.
As I sat onto set of stairs, someone complained from behind "Ah, there's someone here." looking back, tanned girl frowned at my presence.
"Ah, sorry" As I tried to get up and leave.
"Stop, no one told you to leave"
"But, I wanted to leave on my own"
"That is not how I saw it" She got angry.
"So?"
"You thought I was irritated by you, right?" She tilted her head in curiosity.
"No" Straight answer.
"You can just sit back and relax, I used to come here often to calm myself"
"Ok" She sat down next to me but not too close, then took out her bento. Rice and fish, basic, but enough to satisfy.
"Itadakimasu!" She furiously clapped both her palms.
Silence, only winds blowing and we both ate our meals, no word said. Just calm, deafening silence.
Both of us finished as soon as the bell rings, I got up first, but before that. "Hey, you" The tanned girl called me again.
"Yeah?"
"I've never seen you before, you new?"
"Yeah, just moved here from Chiba city"
"Oh, and can I get your name?" Why would you ask a random boy for his name?.
"Hikigaya Hachiman, that's my name, see you later" I hurriedly tried to leave before this turned into one long talk.
"Oi! Wait, I haven't told you my name!"
I stopped, signed, turn behind and waited. "Ah, you finally comply" she sounded relieved.
"I'm too impatient to wait, woman"
"Right, I'm Kagura, nice to meet you" Is that your first name or family name.
"Your family nam-"
"You should return now Hikigaya-kun!" She happily interrupted my question.
A weird interaction, but not a bad one. She's kind.

Back I am to my classroom, Yukari-sensei got mad at me because I'm late. Other than that, nothing interesting happened. But, Ayumu kept staring at me, considering her seat is at the very front while I'm the most back.
I'm starting to get annoyed by her constant staring, so I glared daggers to her, she responded by smiling back.
"Kasuga-san, attention." Yukari-sensei reminded.
Then it went as normally like it always goes, what a funny day today is.
