Hi , i'm kakashi hatake and im a shinobi from the hidden leaf village, i died at 30 during pain attack on my village, and was reincarnated in another universe, something i didn't except.
my second life wasn't a fabulous one ,for i wasn't born a prince or rich ,but rather an orphan boy who doesn't know anything about his parents, the old women who raised me called me binto and i lived in a place called the underground where most people were poor very poor and dying. the women who raised me died when i was 7 and i had to fend for myself. At that age i found out that not only the way i look was the same as in my old life ,but also my powers , when the women who rased me died i felt amixture of sadness, anger and a rash of power going through my vains , my chakra returned!.
and thats how my new miserable life changed.
With my power i can do a lot of things those people can't, and most importantly i can bring food to my table .
i moved from work to work , trying make as much moeny as i can ,and i even sneaked into the outside world , nothing to be impressed, more people in a bigger cage called the walls .not having identification paper forced me to keep living in the underground, i had to make more moeny in order to buy the papers and stealing was against my ethics.
and thats why i started working as a bodyguard in a brothel , my job was simple : make sure no troubles happens , and the customers are not physically harming the prostitutes .
things went smoothly, i didn't interact with the womens working there ,i dont ever know the faces of a lot of them , up untill that day when i heard the manager screaming " you either work and pay or get the hell out of here ,do you hear me wench "
curiosity took the best of me and i went to see what's the matter .
Gustavo :The manager ,was screaming at a young woman who looked about to collapse.
he warned her again about paying and then went on his way , i was about to do the same when the women in question fell down ..
now i cant let her laying on the floor can i ?
i hurried toward her . " Hey ,you okay ? " i tried waking her up .
then when her eyes moved i helped her inside the small room and to her bed.
She was a young women probably around 20 or 21 , her hair long , straight and black ,and her skin porcelain white , her features soft and in harmony .she was beautiful, much more Beautiful than any of the other women in the underground.
"Are feeling alright ?" i asked again when she fully opend her eyes , black eyes , long lashes and a sad look.
"yes ,thank you " she muttered .
"Do you want anything?"
"No "
as soon as she said that she hurried to the toilet and i could hear her vomiting.
she went out and gave me the what the hell are you still doing in here look .
"Are you sure you dont want anything? i can get you medicine if you want " i said despite her deadly looks .
"No ,thank you ,i can't take medicine "
"You should tho, if you want to work today ...you look very sick " i said the obvious. its Saturday we are sure going to have many customers and her condition isnt fit to work.
"im afraid im pregnant ,so i cant take medication " she said .
"oh , ok then, i'll b going " i said and then turned to walk out when i heard her faint voice.
"Thank you again "
"Its nothing, call me if you need help ,you know where to find me"
And that was the first time i meet her , kuchel .
the second time was one week later , i heard Gustavo screams again ,but i didn't go to see , i already know whats happening, kuchel is sick and cant take customers for the time being and greedy gustavo is forcing her to work in order to get his profit and his rent .
i heard her saying that she needed one more week , but he refused.
10 minutes later kuchel was standing in front me , wearing a thin gray dress that was clinging to her body , we were in the street and some people gazed at her , she seemed uncomfortable so i asked her to follow me before she could utter a word , she walked into my room without hesitation and stood there.
"So ? how can i help you ?" i asked.
she took out a small bracelet " i want you to sell it for me " she said .
i looked at her and then at the golden bracelet ,how could someone as poor as her have something like this ? i wondered, but i took it anyway and nodded.
"One more thing " she said .
" Yes ?"
"I want you to give the moeny to gustavo as a paiment for my rent and his profits for a while ,i don't want to see his face again "
"okay "
with that being said she opend the door to go out and i stopped her " its cold at this time of the year , what was going on in your head when you went out like this "
"Im not feeling cold " she said , but i kakashi hatake knows a lie when i hear it .
" Wait here " i said before going to my small dressing and pulling out a green coat that i happened to have for a while now .
"Take it "
"I said im fine "
" i know , at least wear it untill you reach your room. man out there can be annoying "
she looked at me for few seconds before muttring her thanks and walking out .
The next day i went to the market i sold the bracelet, of course they gave me little to nothing compared to the real value of it ,but thats how the underground works . i counted the moeny, it will cover one month of rent and Gustavo's profit from kuchel work.
she was in her early months of pregnancy, so having customers will be dangerous for her body , its why i decided to use some of the moeny i'v been saving to pay for 2 more mothes , i have a soft spot for pregnant womens i guess.
when i told kuchel about the 3 monthes without work she was revieled and surprised at the same time ,ofcourse i didn't tell her about my help .
since that day i started seeing kuchel on a daily basis, she would give me some coins to buy her food , her coins would only buy her the minimum, but i would buy more using my moeny ,i couldn't let a pregnant women live of milk and bread ,i had to get her some vegetables and even egges and one day i managed to get chicken meat , i gave it to her .
kuchel figured out i was helping her from day one ,ofcourse she isn't stupid ,but i assured her that it was a debt she'll have to pay it when she's back to work.
she agreed and promised that she'll pay as soon as she can .
day passed by and sharing meals with kuchel started to become a habbit , it all started when she found out i was a horrible cook ,and Offord to cook for me with her ,she said it was the minimum she can do to repay me even a little, and i agreed .we would eat in my small room or hers ,and talk about things , different things .
i learned that she can read and write, which was a surprise to me ,considering most people in the underground could not .
"Wawo kakashi ,you are so educated for someone from the underground, no offence tho" she once said.
"I could say the same about you " i mutterd.
she hesitated before saying " maybe "
maybe ? what does that mean ?
"How come someone like you ended up in a borthel kuchel?" i asked out of curiosity.
"What do you mean by someone like me ?"
"I mean, you are beautiful " i know i was tacticless , but whatever.
"you could have found a better job. as a dancer or a bartender " i added trying to explain.
i could have sworn i saw her blush for a second before answering "Life brought me here ,i had no other choice "
i nodded my understanding.
And one day we were setting in her room after eating i offered to wash the dishes
she asked "Kakashi ,why are you nice to me ?"
"Shouldn't i ?"
"of course you shouldn't, im just a whore ,why would you be nice to someone like me " i could sense the pain in her voice, something she rarely let it appear.
i felt a pang in my heart for some reason.
"To me ,you are my friend kuchel and nothing more ,ofcourse i'll b nice to you
"Friends ?" she said raising one eyebrow.
"Yes , friends ."
The day she went back to work wasn't a pleasant one , i couldn't sleep knowing that a pregnant women is forced to have sex with strangers in order to live .
the first few days passed very slow , i made sure to check on her after her last customer left , she smiled at me ,her eyes looked lifless like every time.
i had to stop it , its why i payed for the 5 monthes to come and told gustavo not to send anyone to kuchell , he agreed ,and gave me a wink , he things im using her ,but i don't care what he thinks as long as she's safe for the time being.
kuchel wonderd why no one was asking for her and i lied telling her that customers figured out she was pregnant and dont want her anymore.
"But gustavo will be mad , dammit, how am i going to pay _" i cut her off mid sentence " Gustavo said that he'll wait untill you give birth and go back to work"
she smiled at me ,for the first time in a while .
i kept buying her food with me , she gave me an earing to sell ,but i didn't, said that she can pay me later ,she insisted, refused to eat if i didn't take it ,so i took it , but didn't sell it.
"Kakashi, what kind of work you do when you dissappear for a day or two?"
"I guard some important visitors to the underground ". Couldn't tell her that i was helping criminals run away from the police and doing some dirty work ,like taking military police clothes and odm gear off them and reselling them . it wasn't stealing if its from the police ,and they'll get new ones anyway. some kids in the underground needs those clothes more .
on one cold day in December little Levi was born .
"Levi come here " Kakashi called the toddler who was playing with empty cans in front of his mother room.
the boy's smile widened as he saw kakashi and run toward him .
"tatasi" he said and run toward the ex ninja.
"Kakashi took the kid in his arms and kissed his little cheek "What are you doing outside ?"
"momy wort " the kid said .
His mother working, so levi had to stay out .
"Wanna drink some milk with me ?" kakashi offered and the child smiled "Yeth"
the two of them were used to sharing food , ever since levi was born kakashi took it upon himself to take care of the child ,and make sure he's saved , unlike many other children in the underground who dies in theirs early years of childhood.
"Tatasi , more "
"More milk ?
the child nodded
"Im sorry little guy , but thats all the milk i have "
the child pouted then muttered an "Otey "
Kakashi once was saving moeny to buy identification paper and get out of here , but now he can't, he can't abandon Kuchel and Levi , they two need to get out of this place as soon as possible. it's no place to raise a child , he tried his best but getting good nutritious food for levi was hard.
"tatasi let's play " the child said .
kakashi was training levi from time to time through playing, it was a way to remind him who he is ,and what he used to do before coming to this world , but after a while he started enjoying his time with the child ,levi was smart and talented when it comes to physical games , kakashi knew right away that this child had far more potential than any other child in the underground and probably on the outside too.
when his mom last client left , she goes out looking for him and if he's not in front of the door she knows exactly where to find him..
"here you are levi i was looking for you " she said a smile on her face .
Levi who was running after the ball stopped to look at his mom "Momy i want to stay and play with tatasi more "
she looked at kakashi who was standing there " im sure kakashi have work to do let's go "
levi pouted but went on with his mother after saying his good-bye to kakashi.
they were in front of kuchel room when levi asked "Momy can kakashi be my father ?"
kuchel frowned and uttered a no a harsh one
That sunday the borthel was buzzing with people, clients from the outside and even the underground mobs kakashi sat in his usual spot reading his book when the screams started , it's not abnormal to hear screams inside the borthel, kakashi would normally sight and walk there slowly to solve the problem , but today he ran toward the source of screaming .
"kuchel !"
He reached her room , levi was crying in front of the door ,kakashi pushed the door with his leg and walked in.
Kuchel was on the floor totally naked screaming, the man standing a belt in his hand
kakashi moved faster than anyone can see , faster than he had ever moved since waking up here ,and knocked the man down in one swift move .
"Are you okay ?" he asked the woman without looking at her .
it took her few seconds to answer "Yy yes "
"I'll take mr joshua home , he must have drank a lot " he muttered
He carried the unconscious man and went out , Kuchel wanted to stop him ,say something, but she couldn't.
that night Kakashi took a decision, he's going to get out of the underground and he is taking kuchell and levi with him., this is no place for a child and if he can save levi ,he'll do it.
