Chapter 8: In for a Surprise
It's been two weeks since Yugao had started teaching him Kenjutsu and he was a natural with a blade once he got the basics down. He really was an Uzumaki through and through. Not much had changed for him and Blaze as they kept their training routines, each day was different for Naruto as Blaze had him doing Fuinjutsu, practicing hand seals, politics, and learning battle tactics one day to give his body the chance to rest and train the mind, the next day they'd be working on Taijutsu, body conditioning, and Kenjutsu with Yugao. He had started having Naruto use resistance seals like his father used to make him heavier. Another day would be him working on his Ninjutsu, chakra control, and wind manipulation. This was the schedule that they had come up with, so he wouldn't work himself to death in a single day. Naruto would have two days to rest from training whether it was his mind or body.
Right now though, it was one of those relaxing days and Blaze was sitting on one of the couches with Naruto sitting across from him who was looking at his student with a serious look.
"So, what did you want to tell me sensei? You sounded serious when you said you had something to tell me?" Naruto felt nervous about this.
"You remember how I told you I'm from a different reality, right?" Naruto nodded, remembering that conversation and he still couldn't believe it. "Well, before I left Konoha and from my "family", I had taken the Kyuubi from my sister and sealed him into myself, making me the new Jinchuriki for the Kyuubi." Blaze said, seeing his student with a look of horror, he realized why he had that look and continued." And rest assured, she had survived the process. I was able to learn how to remove Biju from their hosts without killing them, so she lived through it." He revealed, much to Naruto's relief, but realized what he was being told now.

"What?!" Naruto shouted once he understood what he was just told. His teacher/brother was the same as him and did it willingly?! "Why would you do that?!" He shouted, waving his hands around.
Blaze waited while Naruto went on a rant about the whole thing and found it funny seeing him react like this and no doubt Siri and Kurama were amused as well.
"Are you done now?" Blaze asked with an amused expression on his face.
"... Yeah, I think I am." Naruto answered with a sigh.
"Good and to answer your question, I did it for a few reasons, but for the main reason was to give him a better host since all Minato and Kushina taught her was some Chakra control exercises, the three academy techniques, and the rest of the time was to teach her how to use the Kyuubi's chakra. I found that to be horrible, not only for her, but for the Biju since he was just being used by them the entire time. I took him away from them to give him a friend who would never abuse him again. And let me tell you right now, the Biju are all just misunderstood beings by us. All they wanted was to be left alone and be the protectors that they were meant to be, but because of a few people who thought they could play god screwed them over by capturing them and selling them off like he owned them. It was wrong of Hashirama to do that to them. It's the reason why the Kyuubi has so much hate is because of his freedom being taken away for so long." Blaze explained to him, who was deep in thought as he listened to him.
Naruto had always blamed the Kyuubi for his treatment from the village and how could he not, it was sealed in him the night he was born because he attacked the village, but had been told that someone forced it to attack and what from Blaze had told him only a Sharingan strong enough could control a Biju like that and if what he said is true, than maybe he was wrong about it.
"So why tell me this now? What's the point in telling me all this?" Naruto asked.
"Very good question. The reason I'm bringing it up is because we're going to be meeting the Kyuubi that is sealed in you." Blaze revealed his plan, much to Naruto's horror.
"But why?!" Naruto questioned with a pale face when thinking about facing the Kyuubi itself.
"Because you two need to learn to work together and it doesn't have to happen now, but I'm wanting you two to at least try to be cordial with one another if nothing else and come to an agreement." Blaze said with Naruto looking at his teacher like he was insane.
"I…. I don't know if that's a good idea." Naruto said nervously.
"It's not like you'll be alone. I plan to be there too and don't worry, you'll be alright." Blaze reassured his student who after a moment nodded his head slowly.
"Alright, so how do we even get in my mindscape?" Naruto asked.
"Bump my fist." Was all Blaze said, holding out his fist to his student who returned the action and bumped his fist with his and the next moment the two were now in what looked like a sewer of sorts which made Blaze frown since the mindscape was a representation of one's life.
"So my jailor decided to grace me with his presence and he brought someone with him. Why are you here ningens?" Kyuubi scowled at the two with Naruto frowning at the Biju, but Blaze just looked at him in sadness.
"Look, I get it, you don't like me and I don't like you, but I want us to make the best out of it if we're going to be stuck in this situation." Naruto said.
"And why would I ever consider working with a weak ningen such as you? I admit you've grown stronger since he started training you, but you're nothing to me still." Kyuubi replied.
"Is there anything that he can do aside from releasing you since that would kill him to show that he means the best for you?" Blaze asked. "Not to mention that I'm almost done with the seal that could give him his freedom and still be connected to the seal, but this Kyuubi would sooner attack again just out of spite, than anything else.
Kyuubi was deep in thought as he was contemplating what Blaze asked since he seemed different from other humans he'd seen before. He wants to be free, but also knows that it wouldn't go his way, but what else would he want instead?
"If I can't have my freedom, then I want to at least be able to know what's going on in the outside world. I want to at least be able to see and sense everything going on." Kyuubi answered after some thinking about it.
" I can do that, but how do I go about doing that?" Naruto asked.
"You need to rip off a piece of the seal, it doesn't need to be much, but just a corner will suffice." Kyuubi said as Naruto did as instructed and managed to rip the amount off.
"There, I hope we can start to get along Kyuubi. I'll prove to you that I'm not like any other person you've ever met." Naruto declared with Kyuubi huffing as he watched his host leave, but Blaze was still there.
"And why are you still here ningen?" Kyuubi asked, annoyed by the speedster.
"Because I want to say this, I'm sorry for everything that's happened to you with Madara and Hashirama. It was wrong for them to use and capture you like they did to you and your siblings.." Blaze answered with Kyuubi who raised an eyebrow in surprise having not expected to hear a human apologize to him.
"Whatever you're still a human who hasn't earned my trust yet." Kyuubi snarled at him, who gave him a sad smile.
"And I hope to gain your trust just as I did with my companion and friend….. Kurama". Blaze said to the Biju who was alarmed at this man knowing his name.
Kurama snarled and banged on the cage with all of his hate and anger at the human for using his name when only one person had the right to call by that name.
"How dare you call me by that name?! How do you know it anyway and how'd you even learn of it?!" Kurama growled at Blaze who nodded.
"That's simple, you know I'm not from here, right? Well the answer to that question is you told me yourself since I'm the Jinchuriki for the Kurama where I'm from." Blaze answered with a smile while Kurama was shocked that any version of himself would tell any human his name let alone tolerate for that matter.
"Hmpf, even if that's true, you don't get to call me by my name until I deem you worthy to do so." Kurama replied stubbornly with Blaze nodding.
"I'll respect that. I just hope I can gain your friendship over time. I'll be going now though, but it was nice to meet you Kyuubi." Blaze said about to leave when he sensed to presences here with neither being him or Kurama which shouldn't be possible. He would have to come back and look into this a bit more. He then looked back at the Kyuubi with a question in mind.
"I have one more question I'd like to ask if that's alright. I'll be gone than I promise." Blaze said, getting a grunt from the fox.
"You may ask one question than get out of my sight." Kyuubi said with a growl.
"Thank you and what I want to ask you is why does your chakra seem split? My Kurama mentioned that you only had half of your chakra with you. Why is that?" Blaze asked with a tilt of his head.
"Grrr. That would be because of the Yondaime, he separated my chakra into Yin and Yang and sealed half of me in himself and than sealed me in the brat." Kyuubi said, getting a nod from him in understanding.
"Well, I can make you whole again, Naruto should be able to handle all of your chakra in him now, given his coils have developed so much and can now handle having your complete form instead of only half." Blaze said, getting Kyuubi's attention who was staring at him with wide eyes.
"And how would you get my other half back?" Kyuubi asked curiously and in disbelief.
"I can summon Minato-baka using the Edo Tensei and remove your other half and then seal it in Naruto where you'll be whole again." Blaze answered.
",,,Do it. I want to be whole again even if I'm sealed in the brat. Do this for me and you will have earned my respect." Kyuubi said before kicking Blaze out without giving him a chance to say anything.
He left the mindscape with Kurama to his thoughts regarding the older Naruto. He opened his eyes to see he was back in the outside world with his student who was getting back as well.
"Well, it's a start at least, that's better than him outright denying and just kicking us out." Naruto muttered with Blaze looking at him in pride at how he's taking the situation.
"That's all you can do. It'll take time to get him to see that you're different from everyone else and want to be his friend. Just be patient with him is all I can say." Blaze said with Naruto nodding in agreement.
"So what now? We still have some time left in the day?" Naruto asked.
They'd already done their training for the day, so Blaze told him to work on his Fuinjutsu for the night and he saw his eyes get stars in them and quickly went grabbed his books and brought them to the kitchen table while Blaze would tell him he'd be gone for the next couple hours. He had a lot of work to do if he was going to go through with this and would need to let Hiruzen know since this wouldn't be good if he wasn't in the know-how.

"You want to do what?!" Hiruzen shouted, his composure completely gone with what he heard that Blaze wanted to do.
" I said, I would like to revive certain people and I'd like you to know this since you're the Hokage and you've done a lot for Naruto." Blaze answered calmly, having expected this reaction from him since it was rare for someone to claim to revive the dead.
"And just how do you plan on doing that? If it's with the edo tensei, then that's not a real revival." Hiruzen stated with a serious look.
"With my Rinnegan, I've learned that the King of Hell has the ability to do various things with one being able to reduce someone's age and even bringing someone back to life." Blaze said with Hiruzen still looking skeptical which is expected considering what he's wanting to do.
"Even if I were to agree with this, who would you be reviving?" Hiruzen asked.
"Nine people that had gotten the short end of things and give them second chances to be here with you, Kakashi, Tsunade, Shizune, and most importantly Naruto." Much to Hiruzen's shock that he was included in his reasons and listened to Blaze. He told the man who he wanted to revive and he was shocked to hear who he suggested and point taken, Hiruzen's jaw was on the ground when he heard the names.
"Are you sure about them?" The old kage asked with clear confusion.
"Positive. I think this could benefit a number of people, only if you let me do this." Blaze told him.
"...Can you let me think about it for a few days and I'll have your answer for you?" Hiruzen asked, not wanting to make any rash choices which Blaze could respect since this is a heavy thing they're talking about.
Blaze nodded, being okay with waiting a bit more to do this. "Sure, I can do that. Thank you for hearing me out about this at least." He bowed to the elder kage who nodded with his pipe in his mouth.
"Is there anything else you wanted to discuss with me?" Hiruzen asked and got a nod from the speedster.
"I had Naruto meet with the Kyuubi today." Blaze revealed much to Hiruzen's horror as his face lost a lot of color hearing this.
"Why would you allow him to do that?!" Hiruzen lost it and went on in a lecture to the speedster who had the gall to look sheepish about the whole thing.
"I thought it would be important for them to at least be cordial or speaking terms. It would make things a lot easier for when the time comes for him to learn to use his chakra." Blaze explained, but it didn't get rid of the upset look that was on the old man's face.
"And it had to be now rather than later?" Hiruzen asked with a worried tone in his voice.
"Yes. I know what I'm doing with this as it was how me and the Kyuubi that's sealed in me did. We talked and honestly grew to become friends as time went by. We even learned to work together and this is the result." Blaze said when a seal suddenly appeared on the ground that expanded. "This is a seal that will keep my power from being felt everywhere, but here." Blaze said with Hiruzen nodding in understanding.
In the next moment, Blaze's body was engulfed in an orange glow with a haori appearing over him like Minato's. Wisps and flecks of golden energy flickered into existence like ethereal ghosts, clustering and swarming around Naruto like a maelstrom of energy. Materializing from the very air around him, a golden cloak, with a radiance and majesty that was unrivaled, surrounded and garbed Naruto's form. The shinobi's hair jutted upwards like horns, and released a shimmering gleam matching his coat in magnificence/
Hiruzen had never seen anything like this. He could feel the amount of power that he was exuding from his being and it truly felt something that had surpassed his parents and perhaps even his teachers Hashirama and Tobirama Senju. And this was without him activating his Dojutsu's. He could feel that this was the Kyuubi's chakra, but none of the hate or rage that usually came with using a Biju's chakra, but instead it felt calm and soothing.
Blaze shut off the form, smirking at the old man who looked completely dumbstruck, it was pretty funny to say the least.
"That is what is possible when you have partnership with him and treat him more than just a Biju or a monster. He's become one of my greatest friends and I always had a lot of respect regarding the Biju." Blaze said with Hiruzen now having a different feeling regarding him. If Naruto could achieve this, then he would be unstoppable and that's just with the Biju. Naruto can become a powerhouse with his chakra alone and what he's learning from Blaze and Yugao, he'll truly be something else.
"I see. I'll leave you to it, but next time you do something like this, come to me since this involves one of my Shinobi." Hiruzen said seriously, with Blaze agreeing and left the office.
On his way back to the compound, he walked through the village and it was buzzing as always with different shops and businesses. He currently had the whisker marks covered, so no one would be suspicious. He was about to be out of the area when he heard someone calling his name. He turned to see Yugao not in her Anbu gear which meant she was off duty. She was sitting at what appeared to be a dango shop. She was with some friends it seemed like and he didn't like it already. Only her and another that was there were fine in his book. Just seeing the others though made his blood boil, they may not be the same people, but seeing their faces didn't help him in the slightest. Sitting with her were Kurenai, Anko, Hana, Asuma, Gai, Hayate Gekko who was Yugao's boyfriend., and surprisingly Kakashi.
Great. Just great, now that she had his attention, no doubt the others would want to meet him too once they learned he was training Naruto. This was some serious bullshit timing.
"Hello Yugao, I wasn't expecting to be seeing you right now. How are you?" Blaze asked with a small smile at his friend/fellow teacher.
"I'm doing good. I saw you were coming from the Hokage's tower and wanted you to meet some friends of mine. Come on." Yugao didn't give him a chance to deny when she grabbed his wrist and pulled him over to the others. Well there goes that plan of getting out of this immediately.
"I'm fine as I was Yugao, you don't need to drag me." Blaze gave her a flat stare.
"No, you need this and some friends. You never leave the compound unless it's with Naruto to train with me. Otherwise you don't get out much, so this'll be good for you." Yugao told him as she smirked when she saw his eye twitching in annoyance.
"Whatever." He said as they made it to the others.
"Everyone, this is Blaze, he's new around here and thought I'd introduce him to you guys." Yugao said as they all looked at him with curiosity.
"It's nice to meet you, my youthful friend. I'M THE GREEN BEAST OF KONOHA MAITO GUY!" He shined with white teeth and did a strange pose.
"Damn you're good looking. I'm the sexy and single Anko Miterashi!" Anko gave him a smirk, but he just stared at her with a twitching eyebrow.
"Hello. I'm Kurenai Yuhi, it's nice to meet you Blaze." Kurenai smiled at him. He gave her a nod, trying his hardest not to kill them all and just walk away.
"Asuma Sarutobi, are you a Shinobi?" Asuma asked.
"I'm a retired Shinobi." Blaze said much to their surprise since he looked to be their age.
"Retired? Did you get an injury?" Kurenai asked with interest.
"It's a bit personal. I'm sorry." Blaze said simply, much to her frown, finding him to be rude answering the way he did.
"I'm Hana Inuzuka." Hana gave him a small smile.
Kakashi didn't say anything with his face in the book as usual.
"And i'm Hayate *cough* Gekko" Hayate coughed with him barely raising an eyebrow.
"So, he has the same sickness that the Hayate from my Konoha except I was able to heal him with my Rinnegan which was sworn to secrecy when I revealed it to him and Yugao, having trusted them the most out of everyone else in Konoha except for Mikoto." He thought as he observed his friends counterpart.
"Nice to meet you all. I'm sorry, but I need to be getting home, my student is probably wondering where I'm at." Blaze apologized with a small bow and walked off while restraining his anger at seeing their faces.
"He seems nice." Anko spoke with clear sarcasm in her voice while the others chuckled, but didn't refute since she wasn't wrong.
Yugao looked over at him with a frown and confusion since she'd known him he'd never shown any real annoyance like this until now. It was strange to say the least, it was like he knew them already and trying not to show it.
"Strange, he's never been like that since I met him. Strange indeed." Yugao said with the others looking at her surprise with Kakashi even glancing at her with intrigue.
"He mentioned a student, do you know who it is?" Kakashi asked, jumping into the conversation now.
"Yes I do, I've been teaching him Kenjutsu with his help while he handled everything else. You wouldn't be able to recognize him now considering his change in wardrobe and his change in general. He's quite the quick learner." Yugao spoke with pride, getting them all curious now.
"Who is it then? Come on, don't keep us in suspense and waiting." Hana said impatiently.
"Naruto Uzumaki." Yugao said, silencing everyone.
"..."
"But why would he teach him when he has me as his sensei?" Kakashi asked with a frown.
"Well apparently he took it upon himself since all you'd taught him was how tree walk and nothing else." Yugao said, shocking the others while Kakashi cringed at this.
"No, I'd done more than that for him. What's he like now though? And why does he show such interest in Naruto?" Kakashi asked, wondering about the new guy.
"Well from what I've learned he doesn't specialize in anything in particular and is a nice guy, but he keeps to himself for the most part when he's not training Naruto or just spending time with him.. I don't know a lot about him though since when he came to Hokage-sama's office a month ago, he asked for privacy and for us to leave the room.
"Not only that, but you said he'd never been rude or showed irritation like he did now? He's clearly not from Konoha, but seems to have a problem with all of us." Kurenai frowned in thought.
"No, this was the first time I've seen him like that. I'm surprised he'd react like this towards you guys." Yugao said.
"Well, not everybody, he seems to get along with you and gave Hayate a small smile that was almost missed." Anko said with the others nodding.
"What has he been teaching Naruto? I'm quite curious." Kakashi asked, while keeping this in thought for another time, wanting to know what his student has learned.
"Well. We've been teaching him Kenjutsu and is a natural at it. I'd say he's mid to high genin. Yes, he has a sword that he uses and it's the Kubikiribōchō that Blaze picked up from Wave Country. While Naruto taught him everything else and let me tell you, Naruto has absorbed everything like a sponge. He corrected his Taijutsu and has been teaching him a style. I'd say he's high genin with it. He has been teaching him to notice and break out of Genjutsu and is able to break out of C-ranked ones and has been working on B-ranked ones now, he has an affinity for the wind element and it's very high, extremely high and is in the middle of doing the second exercise that Blaze has set for him to do. I'd say he would be low-chunin in that and lastly he's being taught Fuinjutsu and he's quite a prodigy in it. He's already close to being a level 1 seal master and it's only been a month since he started. He's even teaching him politics, tactics, and doing body conditioning. Overall I'd put him as a low-chunin and he'll only improve from this point on." Yugao finished explaining with everyone looking gobsmacked and if Blaze had been there to see, he would've smirked at them.
"B-but I heard he was the dead last in the academy, how did he improve so quickly?" A random ninja asked in a shocked tone having heard part of the conversation, passing by them..
"From what Blaze told me, he was sabotaged in the academy to make him either fail or make him the dead last where he'd have a good chance of dying in the field. He was able to get this information and gave it to the Hokage who immediately fired them and replaced them with more capable and less bigoted teachers. The Shadow Clone Jutsu is how he was able to catch up to everyone and Blaze knew about this and took advantage of it to maximize his training." Yugao grinned at their reactions with Kakashi looking the most shocked and even looked a little ashamed. Probably for not realizing this before.
"He let him use that blade?! That's one of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist?!" Hana shouted after her shock settled in.
"Yes, Blaze got it for him when he heard about the Wave mission and what's become of the blade. He found it a waste to leave it there for anyone to take, despite the sentience behind it, but said that someone else would come along to take it for themselves. So, he is making use of it and not letting it rot." Yugao said, much to the shock of everyone.
"I'm curious now, how did Blaze meet him?" Kurenai asked, intrigue and curiosity in her tone.
"Apparently he had just entered the village when he came across Kakashi's team in their training, but wasn't impressed with what he saw and decided to take things into his hands and train the boy himself." Yugao said with Kakashi frowning again.
"Do you know what he means when he said, he wasn't impressed?" Kakashi asked.
"How you favor one of your students and neglect the other two, only teaching the Uchiha. From what he told me, your pink haired student is a fangirl who has no interest in improving herself and Naruto was ignored by you." Yugao gave a rare glare at him, who looked away from their stares.
"What's his last name?" Hana asked.
"He hasn't told me, just his first name, which I know is a lie and he's been using an alias of sorts, but have no way of finding out his real name except for asking your father, but I know he wouldn't tell me if I asked." Yugao sighed at how she would try to get him to tell her, but he would just tell her not to bother with it and call him Blaze.
"Is there anything that you know about him that he has told you?" Gai asked curiously, very intrigued with this new development between the two.
"No, just that he's very proficient in all five chakra natures and is very fast when we spar on occasion. He's great with a blade, but not master, and also a master in Fuinjutsu, he's better than Jiraiya-sama, and on the same level if not better than the Yondaime Hokage and his wife." Yugao revealed much to their shock at those two revelations.
"No way! Those two are impossible to match!" Anko shouted, the dango stick falling out of her mouth, Asuma's cigarette fell onto the ground, and Kakashi nearly dropped his book in shock.
"Maybe, but like Yugao said, we know nothing about him and if he's training one of our students, then it would be in our best interest to be aware of him, especially if he's using an alias. Pops has to know his name if he had your team leave his office to speak with him." Asuma said with the others agreeing, especially Kakashi who had been wondering who this guy was that was training his student since he was improving so much so quickly.
"Where's he staying?" Hana asked.
"..."
"What was that?" Kurenai asked.
"The Uzumaki compound." Yugao answered by silencing everyone.
"...He's a real Uzumaki then?! I always thought Lord Third just gave him the name at random." Hana pointed out.
"Yes he is. He was able to use his blood to enter it and has been living there with Blaze ever since." Yugao said.
"We'll just have to talk to them about it, the next time we see them or Blaze at the least." Kakashi said, having his brain caught up after learning that.
"Maybe, but I say don't try anything since he's really looking out for him. He has Lord Third's backing, so anything that happens would be on you guys." Yugao said, ending the discussion for now as they talked.
Blaze had made it to the compound and he saw Naruto was still studying the books he had grabbed earlier. He was proud of how far his student had come in the last month. He was now longer loud, brash, and wouldn't be reckless when in a fight. He also had gotten him to get over his crush for Sakura since she would hit him a lot and would degrade him to make herself feel better.
"Okay, Naruto I'm going to be in the backyard doing some of my own training for a bit. If you need anything, I'll be outside." Blaze told him.
"Got it." Naruto said without looking up from his book. Blaze shook his head amusingly at him before heading out to the training ground in the back. He needed to work on improving his powers as a speedster. He hadn't been able to train in them as much as of late and didn't want them to become rusty or stagnant.
He walked out into the field and stood in the middle when his body became covered in gold and white lightning when he started channeling it to his hand when a small dagger appeared being made entirely of lightning. He knew as long as he kept it in hand, it would sustain, but wanted to know what would happen once it left his hand. He threw it at one of the dummies and it kept its charge as it made contact with it before it was pierced and the lightning electrocuted it before exploding.
"Woah, okay, so lightning that concentrated can cause something to explode? Interesting." Blaze said to himself when he sped towards the dummy and shoved his hand through its chest while vibrating. He nodded in satisfaction at the technique before he pulled his hand away. Siri appeared next to him.
"That was pretty good, Naruto, but you need to learn restraint or else you'll end up hurting yourself." Siri scolded, making him want to argue, but she wasn't any of it and continued to berate him on his reckless actions. By the end of her rant, he just nodded, not knowing what else to say.
"Okay, I will Siri, I appreciate your concern. Let's see what else I can do with electrokinesis and what's possible." Blaze said as he went to work with Siri monitoring his vitals as he went to work.
Two hours later, Blaze was now in the house with Naruto eating dinner after the small workout he had, he was starving, cursing his enhanced metabolism from being a Jinchuriki and a speedster. Naruto's jaw was on the ground after witnessing someone not only eating more than him, but continuing to eat more. He never thought he would meet someone who could eat more than himself. Blaze had always eaten a certain amount even after a day of training with him, but apparently what he was doing today made him much more hungry.
"You okay sensei?" Naruto had to ask after seeing him eat so much and that's saying something.
Blaze gave him a weary smile before nodding his head. "I'm fine, I feel much better now. You know Jinchuriki has a faster metabolism, right?" Blaze asked, getting a nod from his ward. "Well, imagine it being amplified much more, being a speedster." Naruto's shock was evident when he saw him grimace and pat his back.
"I'll do the dishes tonight since you made dinner." Blaze nodded with a thankful look as he went towards his room to go shower.
"He's such a nice boy, it's a shame this village treats him like a monster when he's really sweet to those he cares about. It's also a wonder how no one has noticed how much he looks like his father. How people don't see it is beyond me." Siri commented, getting a nod of agreement from him.

Naruto was now getting his gear together having to meet with his "team" for a "training session" when Kakashi had appeared at the compound to notify him about it. He was shocked at the change of appearance that Naruto had taken. He just said he'd be there and thanked him for the notification. He knew that it would no doubt revolve around teamwork drills and Kakashi than taking Sasuke somewhere else to train again. He was now wearing a mesh shirt with a black shirt that had orange bars on the shoulders over it, he had black anbu style pants on with instead of Shinobi sandals he had closed combat boots instead that Blaze had made for him with his "Creation of All Things".Over the shirt, he had a black flak jacket that had several pockets that held different explosive tags, kunais, shurikens, and even some paralysis seals that Blaze had given him. He black fingerless gloves with metal plates over the back of the hand. He had a seal on his wrist that held the Kubikiribōchō. He noticed his sensei was in the living room which was weird because he normally would be going through his katas in the backyard at this time.
"Sensei, what are you doing here? Normally you're outside doing your morning exercises?" Naruto asked with a curious expression.
"I'm coming with you to your team meeting. I want to meet your team for myself as I know Kakashi will have questions about you which is where I'll come in to play." Blaze said, giving him a grateful smile.
"Thank you nii-san. I don't want to answer all the questions that I know will be coming from them." Naruto said with Blaze nodding.
"Of course, now before you go, what do you do if Sakura-san tries to hit or insult you and if Sasuke insults you?" Blazed asked.
"I won't let her hit me anymore and just ignore him, but if he attacks me, I'll put them in their places.." Naruto said, much to Blaze's satisfaction.
"Good." Blaze said with a smile, ruffling his hair as they headed out of the compound, but not before locking the gate with blood seals making only them able to get in.
It didn't take them long to get there and when they did, they were surprised, not because of their teammates being there, but it wasn't just them that was there, but the other rookie teams by the looks of it and their senseis. Blaze narrowed his eyes wondering what was going on since Kakashi never mentioned that other teams would be here too and for that fact Kakashi was on time too made things more suspicious.
He could see Asuma, Kurenai, and Gai with their teams along with Anko for some reason was there along with Hana which was really making him wonder what was going on. They noticed their arrivals with all the genin looking at Naruto in surprise and at Blaze in confusion wondering who he was with the Jonins narrowing their eyes at the speedster.
"Good to see you Naruto, I see you changed your clothes." Kakashi started out as he gave an eye smile.
"Thanks Kakashi-sensei." Naruto said, but was blanching at calling him sensei since he's only taught him one thing his entire tenure under him.
"Sensei, who's that?" The banshee, I mean Sakura yeah Sakura asked, pointing at Blaze who gave her an impassive glance.
"My name is Blaze and I'm Naruto's teacher." Blaze told the group with the Genin being surprised at this information with Sasuke narrowing his eyes at Blaze in contemplation. The Jonins however weren't as surprised, but to hear it from it himself still caught them by surprise.
"I thought we were having a team meeting, how come the other teams are here?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"We thought we could use this opportunity to have sparring matches with other Genins and this way you guys can improve." Kakashi said with his usual eye smile getting others excited at the opportunity.
Sasuke stepped forward with his usual arrogant smirk. "You, I demand that you teach me if you're teaching the dobe." He demanded, but all he got was raised eyebrow in amusement.
"And why should I teach you?" Blaze asked, already going to say no, but he wanted to hear what he'd say.
"Because I'm an Uchiha Elite, I'm better than the dobe." Sasuke replied arrogantly, expecting him to follow through while Naruto rolled his eyes, surprising everyone since they expected him to respond.
"I could care less about who you are or what clan you're from. Firstly, I won't teach someone who is arrogant like you who thinks they're kami's greatest gift when you're just a child. Two, Uchiha's aren't as great as they were made out to be when it took one person to take all of them out and lastly, you just are a child who's pretending to be important. How you're Mikoto kaa-chan's son i'll never know." Blaze listed off without a care, silencing everyone with wide eyes, especially Sakura, the platinum blonde, and Sasuke before he scowled at the speedster who kept his impassive look on.
"How dare you! Once the council here's of this, you'll be dead! Uchiha's are the ultimate clan!" Sasuke shouted at them with Blaze scoffing dismissively as he waved his hand at him.
"Right anyway, we should get on with what you have planned." Blaze told Kakashi who nodded and motioned for the others to follow him to the training ground.
"Alright, right now we're going to be setting up matches and display what you've learned so far since you became Genins." Kurenai explained getting nods from the teams.
The first matches were Shikamaru vs Shino with Shikamaru giving up, saying it was too troublesome while Blaze shook his head at the laziness and his stupidity. The second match was Hinata vs Ino with Hinata winning, but barely since she didn't want to fight her and Ino was… well…. Pathetic to put it simply. She was a fangirl that wanted to impress Sasuke. It made him sick and wondered just what Asuma was doing to knock her out of that. The rest of the matches went as such Kiba vs Tenten with Tenten winning by keeping her distance and Kiba on his toes, not allowing him to do anything until she was able to land some solid hits knocking him unconscious, making him nod in approval. Neji vs Sakura, well it was pathetic, like Ino she's a fangirl and was out in one hit. Enough said about her. Lee vs Choji with Lee winning with Choji giving up, not wanting to fight a fellow leaf comrade. Blaze smacked his forehead in irritation with Naruto seeing this and snickering, knowing what he must be thinking.
"And now we have Naruto vs Sasuke, please step forward." Anko said with Sasuke, stepping up with an arrogant smirk and Naruto had a calm expression.
"Ready to lose dobe?" Sasuke asked, while Naruto didn't respond, he ignored him in favor of nodding to Anko, who nodded back with approval.
"Hey, don't ignore me! I'm an Uchiha elite, you will listen to me when I'm talking to you!" Sasuke yelled further, getting pissed off when he didn't get a rise out of him.
"Begin." Anko called out with Sasuke immediately going on the offensive.
Sasuke charged, becoming impatient with Naruto to do something which lead with a right hook, but Naruto pushed it to the side and kicked him in the side, sending him skidding back. Naruto rushes him as Sasuke does the same trading hits with Naruto not taking any blows being more cautious and aware of his movements while also keeping track of Sasuke's, but Naruto is giving them all with Sasuke becoming frustrated at being outdone so he jumps back going through hand signs.
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" with Naruto doing some hand signs of his own and slams his hand on the ground.
"Water Style: Water Wall!" Water erupted from the nearby lake and surrounded him, taking the brunt of the fireball, causing steam to erupt.
"Is that all the "Mighty Uchiha" has to offer? All that talk and you're barely putting up a fight." Naruto taunted, angering Sasuke.
"Shut up! You're just a loser. I'm from the Uchiha clan, I can't be beaten by the likes of you!" Sasuke shouted.
Naruto shakes his head. "We'll see about that." Naruto disappeared in a blur.
Naruto appears where he kicks him in the back and follows him appearing in front of him following with an elbow to the head into the ground.
He waited for him to get up, but saw he was unconscious and looking at Anko.
"I don't think he's getting up anytime soon." Naruto said with a small grins.
"Winner by knockout! Naruto Uzumaki!" Anko announced, silencing everyone.
"No way! Sasuke-kun never loses and to the loser of all people!" Sakura and Ino shrieked, making others wince covering their ears.
"Sasuke let Naruto's taunts get to him and his impatience didn't help either. Naruto took advantage of it and ultimately was a lot more prepared than him." Kakashi said, impressed with Naruto's improvement and sad that he hadn't been the one to help him..
"It's because he lets his arrogance of being part of the Uchiha clan, thinking that alone makes him invincible, when it will only get him killed in a mission. It's pathetic if you ask me." Blaze said harshly, getting glares from the fangirls.
"Shut up baka! Sasuke-kun will never die like that, he's an Uchiha!" Sakura shrieked again with his eye twitching before he was suddenly in front of her and grabbed her face and lifted her off the ground with KI being emitted in the area, making everyone shiver with the Genins falling to their knees with the Jonins doing better, but were still having trouble breathing. Naruto was faring the best, having gotten used to this amount of KI that he would push on him to overcome the fear..
"Listen here you pathetic waste of life. Why don't you do everyone a favor and shut the hell up? Your voice is annoying and your forehead is blinding my eyes with how big it is. I don't give a fuck who you think you are or who Sasuke is, if his mother could see how he's become, she'd be disappointed in him. This village has done nothing, but pamper a child for simply being lucky that Itachi didn't kill him. So the next time you want to open your ugly mouth, think before you speak. You're nothing, but a pathetic fangirl like your friend over there." He pointed to Ino who was shivering and was terrified of him coming for her. "So if you won't get your shit together and stop this foolishness, then either stop pretending to be a kunoichi or actually take this seriously." Blazed hissed at her before dropping her seeing her foam coming out of her mouth when she passed out, making him tch before walking back to Naruto and stopping the KI, getting a sigh of relief from everyone.
"What the hell was that? Just who is this guy?" Anko asked with slight awe and annoyance having been outdone by some simply KI.
"I don't know, but maybe Yugao was right and we shouldn't do this." Hana was having second thoughts.
Kakashi managed to get his breath under control and walked to Blaze when he grabbed his shoulder, making him turn around to face him.
"That was uncalled for. You need to apologize to her." He said with a frown under his mask, not that anyone could see it.
"And if I don't? I wasn't wrong in the slightest with what I said to her and besides, I held back on the KI immensely. That was barely 20% of what I could put out and it put all of you on edge." Blaze told the scarecrow, startling not only him, but the others that heard what he said and paled a little.
"No way." Asuma whispered in surprise at what he heard and the others weren't faring any better at the information.
"That's impossible." Kurenai whispered, not able to grasp what she heard.
While they were having their mental breakdowns, Sasuke woke up and glared at the blonde who had the audacity to beat him when he, an Uchiha, was an elite. He got up from his spot and did a series of hand seals before shooting a fireball at his back and was about to shout at his victory, but was cut off when Blaze was suddenly in front of his student and held his hand out where the fireball was seemingly absorbed away. What no one knew was he had activated his Rinnegan, but had a small Genjutsu cast over his eyes to make them look the same.
The child Uchiha was livid at seeing what happened, but was suddenly lifted off the ground by the collar of his shirt with Blaze glaring daggers into him.
"And what were you about to do just now huh? What you were about to do would land you in prison for assaulting a fellow leaf shinobi." Blaze said while still glaring at him.
"Put me down! I'm an Uchiha, you can't treat me like this, I'll go to the council and they'll have your head. He's a dobe, a loser, and you're teaching him. I demand you teach me and give me everything you know, so I can make better use of it." Sasuke answered arrogantly, but he suddenly felt Blaze's fist in his gut making him spit out saliva.
"Listen here you little shit, you can take your demands and shove them up your ass since you won't be getting anything from me. You're a spoiled little brat that will never amount to anything with this attitude. I don't care if you're part of the Uchiha clan, if your mother could see you as you are now, I know she would be disappointed in you with every fiber of my being. You're not worthy of being her son or Itachi's brother since you're nothing compared to them. As for that council, go ahead tattle to them since apparently that's what you do best is whine and throw a temper tantrum. Poor Sasuke can't even fight his own battles that he needs his hand held all the time by them~" Blaze mocked him, making his face go redder in anger. "And as for my student, never do something like that again, he beat you fair and square in a legal spar and if you try anything like this again, I will take your eyes away and destroy them myself." He finished when he punched him in the gut again. He dropped him on the ground and kicked him in the face towards the others.
Blaze looked towards everyone else and saw they were terrified of him, well the Genin were, while the Jonin were impressed at the little shit finally getting his due. Even Kakashi was glad that this happened and maybe, he'd learn from this.
"So, who's the next match going to be? Naruto asked, wanting to move on from this and continue to test his progress. This snapped everyone out of their thoughts as the Jonins nodded and called out a random pair. Blaze went and found a spot by himself away from everyone and closed his eyes, but kept his sensory skills sharp in case someone did something stupid. He sighed when he felt two signatures approach him and opened his eyes to see Anko and Hana were walking towards him, slowly for that matter, probably cautious with what they just witnessed which he couldn't blame them.
"Can I help you Miterashi-san and Inuzuka-san?" Blaze asked calmly, near emotionlessly, making them flinch on instinct, yet made them wonder what his problem was against them, but wouldn't question it.. for now.
"Nothing Blaze-san, we just wanted to get to know you more, so we thought we'd come sit with you." Hana said with a little anxiety in her voice that made him sigh internally.
"What you did to the Uchiha and pinky was badass and hilarious. It's about time he got knocked off his high horse and she got a reality check." Anko laughed at the lecture and the small beating he got from him.
He just shrugged at their responses as he gestured to sit down which they did so and watched the rest of the spars in silence as they made small talk with him or at least tried too, but all they got were one word answers from him which while annoyed them, got something out of him at least. For another three hours they watched the Genin teams while the two talked while Blaze kept an eye on his student to make sure no one tried anything on him again and would comment on his spars with the Genin and Jonin expecting the young Uzumaki to give a snarky comment or shout something when he would critique on something, but all he would say was okay or thanks sensei which shocked everyone, not realizing how much he'd changed in a month.
Another thing that had surprised everyone was how well he had been doing, especially Kakashi since he had won all of his spars so far and when he didn't brag about them, he simply told them great job and that he looked forward to the next chance they could fight. It certainly was nice to see him so humbling about his victories. The Uchiha however had been seething seeing the "dobe" improve so much in short little time. He had tried again to demand Blaze to teach him, but he would just tell him to get back to his spars and shut up, but when that wouldn't work, he would put him under a Genjutsu without any hand seals no less which showed his skill in the art. By the time they were all done they had sent their teams away aside from Naruto who was standing next to Blaze with a proud smile at his student's spars with his fellow Genin. As they were about to leave, Blaze felt a hand on his shoulder and turned his head to see Kakashi had been the one to stop him and saw Kurenai, Asuma, Gai, Anko, and Hana were standing close by to him.
"We had a few questions about you since no one's heard or seen you before and we would like to know where you were trained as a Shinobi." Kakashi had his eye smile, but his tone said how serious he was with the others nodding with Anko and Hana being more nervous out of everyone.
"And why should I tell you this? Hokage-sama is well aware of my origins and knows who I am, so that should be enough." Blaze answered with a calm tone.
"But we don't like that you're interacting with one of our students when we don't know anything about you, so it would be nice if you could answer some questions. That's all we're asking for is information." Kurenai answered with a smile, hoping he'd help them out, but frowned when he shook his head with a sigh.
"I'm sorry, but I can't and for one reason and one reason only… is that you simply wouldn't believe what I would tell you." Blaze said with a sigh when he pushed his hand off his shoulder when he saw them tense and sighed again knowing where this was going and turned towards Naruto. "I think you're going to want to move away and give us some space, kid." He told him who nodded and quickly went to the sidelines as Blaze turned around and saw everyone had gone into their own stances with Kakashi even removing his headband to reveal his Sharingan when his eyes widened for a moment.
"Remove the Genjutsu you have over your face." Kakashi ordered, getting everyone's attention getting them to look at him, than looked at Blaze who didn't seem surprised at getting caught by him with it before he sighed and put his hands in the correct hand seal before shouting "Kai" revealing his face being the same except he now had his whisker birthmarks showing that were the same as Naruto's, confusing and with some of them gasping in surprise.
"Now, before we get started, does anyone wish to get out?" Blaze asked with a grin and it only grew when he saw no one take his offer, but only see their resolve harden. Oh this was going to be fun for him.
